The Philander Chase Knox Estate, located in Malvern, PA, is a romantic wedding venue. Nestled in Valley Forge National Historic Park, this property is surrounded by 3,500 acres of lush fields and stately trees. It is just past the Knox Covered Bridge, ensuring a picturesque setting for your milestone day. As well as ceremonies and receptions, this grand property is also available to host vow renewal celebrations. Originally built in the late 1700s, The Philander Chase Knox Estate was home to former Attorney General, Secretary of State, and Senator, Philander Chase Knox. The grounds that surround the home, meanwhile, were used as an encampment by General George Washington and his army from 1777 to 1778. To-be-weds who host their special milestone here work closely with Valley Forge Park Events. This dedicated team of professionals is committed to helping your dream come to life. Your day at The Philander Chase Knox Estate can start in a private get-ready suite, while your party prepares in their own exclusive accommodations. From here, the couple can move to a romantic ceremony on the landscaped lawn. This setting has beautiful views of Valley Creek and is adorned with colorful wildflowers. Stylish cocktail hours are invited to the patio or living rooms, where couples can mingle with their loved ones as they celebrate their milestone. Receptions are held outside in the comfort of a large state-of-the-art tent, April through October. To further elevate your event, you can opt to use built-in lighting. This space is carpeted and features farm tables made from reclaimed wood. This property can comfortably accommodate up to 200 guests. The team was incredibly responsive and helpful during the planning process, and totally on top of everything during the big day. The food was outstanding (we had the best time at our tasting), and the whole staff was fantastic and helpful. We had the best day ever!

The team was incredibly responsive and helpful during the planning process, and totally on top of everything during the big day. I want to start off by saying I had the best day ever. Many of our guests said they also had the most fun at a wedding. However, I think if we held our reception at any place, that would hold the same impression since it really had to do with the music. We had a generally easy process planning with a sweet woman named Andrea (who since quit). Since this is a seasonal venue, you can only see it during open months, but we got engaged in the fall/planned in winter, so we booked based off of photos (I don't recommend). We liked the location and saw nice professional photos but I was slightly taken back by what I saw during our first tour (after we paid deposit). The dance floor was coming apart and outdated, the carpet around the entire reception deck was stained, old and dirty, and the bar came straight out of a an old 70s VFW. Our parents looked at us like we were nuts. Many photos we saw we realized much later that people had rented several things to make the tent look nicer. We were very close to canceling the wedding and eating our deposit but we couldn't find any open venues elsewhere for the date we wanted. For 25K+ I was expecting more updates (there's a difference between vintage/rustic and just outdated). You have to pay extra (and i mean EXTRA $$$$) for table linens, to change the cushion color etc. Behind every corner is an upcharge.That being said, the food was incredible – everyone loved everything they got and for that I am thankful! I imagine that's the bulk of the money–quality food and ingredients. I really enjoyed the personalized tasting night too!We had a day of coordinator who was a no BS kind of girl (which normally I'm all for), but also made a lot of my bridal party and family feel uncomfortable starting immediately at rehearsal by yelling at everyone for parking where they did (no one told us where to park in the first place). Secondly, we were told the bridal suite would have \"crudités\" for our 14+ bridal party members but it was literally 5 celery sticks and some tomatoes and ranch. Thirdly, I paid an extra $120 on top of the package deal for our cake from the Master’s Baker for premium fillings and flavors. We were dancing all night and knew our cake was sitting at our sweetheart table waiting for us and we were so excited to try them all! For whatever reason, the dessert table was cleaned up SO incredibly quickly and they THREW AWAY our 4 tier cake and we didn’t get a single slice (mind you, our slices were packed up in to-go containers). When I was asking the coordinator where the cake went she first apologized that a server threw it away. She then lied right to my face and said “the entire cake was eaten by the guests” A 4 tier cake. Eaten by everyone, right. I asked several of my guests if they had cake and none of them even saw the dessert was out. I talked to just 4 whole people who had a slice of cake. Mind you, I brought takeout containers that they could have easily packed with cake. That really rubbed me the wrong way – the cake was a total waste of money.The last thing that really set me over the edge was the breakdown. I had arranged several times with the coordinator that the card box and gifts were to be given to my husband’s father when we leave. She had asked about this again in our final meeting. We had a trailer that we were told we could keep there and the team would safely put all our decor into at the end of the night. This was great because I assumed we’d be putting it away. I wish that were the case now. I am on my way out the door asking all the staff where the cards were and no one knew. Thousands of dollars completely unaccounted for and no one cared. I assumed my mother had taken it (she was asleep at the hotel) so I tried not to panic. The next morning I find out she has no idea where it is. We go to pick up the trailer the next day and it is in there – unlocked, available to the public to just steal! The staff who packed that trailer were irresponsible, reckless and careless. Several items of ours were damaged from them throwing stuff in there, and I had 5 metal black lanterns I rented – which the staff decided to stuff an alcohol soaked tablecloth with, completely dissolving the metal finish forcing me to have to pay out of pocket for all 7 lanterns ($45 each!) due to the damage. It was the most chaotic packing I had ever seen. If I knew what I know now, I would have completely packed the whole thing myself (but that’s what we paid them to do).All in all, I would not recommend this venue in terms of the value, but it was a beautiful area and the staff were nice to us and accommodating–there were just moments where I felt different. If it were priced around 10K or less I’d book it–but for over 25K there are several beautiful venues in the area that will not cause as many headaches and have more modern touches. If you have no budget and can add all the bells and whistles then it's great!

Choose the Philander Chase Knox Estate for your wedding day and you will not be disappointed!! My husband and I are so happy that we found this venue for our day. From day one what we appreciated was that everything was coordinated together. Robert Ryan Catering operates the venue and coordinates the food drinks and even partners with the Master Baker in West Chester to coordinate the cake. To start from day one working with Amanda, our coordinator was east and well organized. She kept us up to date on every major milestone that we had to pay attention to and went above and beyond to make us comfortable and help make our day special. They food was also amazing, and our guests were raving about how good everything was. You are able to got to an included food and drink tasting which was a lot of fun. The passed and stationary hor devoirs were so good and there is so much variety that you can choose from. We went with stations for our dinner and again the food was great. One of the cool things was also that if you did not meet the guest minimum (which we did not) instead of just eating the cost, they let us out the remaining balance towards upgrades, we ended up with a flat bread pizza station, smores station and quesadilla bar to name a few. Again, the food was perfect! They also coordinate all the staff, including wait staff and bar tenders. We also had an incredible day of coordinator, Edie. She was amazing and so attentive. She had all our various appetizers brought to our suite and also had dinner plates made for us so that we were able to try everything without having to worry about getting it ourselves, which is truly a blessing when you are interacting with all of your guest. Not to be outdone was the beauty of the venue itself, pictures do not do it justice, it is the perfect combo for people who don’t want a typical country club or ballroom wedding. The Philander Chase Knox estate was historic with many places for great photos and the reception tent was beautiful and well put together. It is something different. Again, we cannot say enough great things and you want be disappointed with having your wedding here!!!

Working with Robert Ryan for our wedding at Philander Chase was the smoothest process. I knew we would end up at one of their locations when, as we were scheduling initial venue tours, the Office Manager followed up the day before our tour to ensure we were still good. None of the other venues we toured followed up with us like that, so small details like that that impressed me. We knew Philander Chase was our location when we toured it-it's set in beautiful Valley Forge National Park, so enough said. Aside from that, the two Office Managers we worked with (as our original person left) were always responsive and upfront with us during our planning process. They streamlined our timeline and due dates so nicely. Our day of coordinator was Natalie, and she was wonderful as well. The day went so smoothly, and for the couple of minor hurdles we did have, the staff was on top of it so I didn't even need to worry. And the wait staff was attentive and ensured my husband and I always had food, cake, and drinks! So to sum it all up, yes, I could recommend Robert Ryan/Philander Chase.

We were so thankful to find Robert Ryan and The Philander Chase Knox Estate on our wedding venue search. Our wedding this past June was everything we could have imagined and so much more. From the first connection with Amanda F. to the day of with Jalissa T & staff, we could not be more thankful for that team... not to mention the incredible food!!! Amanda answered every question, call, and email we (and our parents had) and handled every situation with grace, kindness, and professionalism. She even showed up on the day of our wedding to see us and wish us luck.. she is a class act! Jalissa was the day of coordinator who we got to meet and lock down for wedding day at our food tasting. She's sweet, organized, smart, and like the energizer bunny! She ran around from start to end making sure everything went seamlessly day of and I knew if I had any questions or concerns, she would be there to help me through. She treated her staff with kindness and respect, and they all worked together seamlessly! We truly could not have asked for better service and care! The location and venue itself is so beautiful and peaceful - all of our guests were so impressed by combination of the the historic estate and the natural beauty of the park. The staff at Robert Ryan were very communicative and helpful throughout the entire planning process, and were able and willing to accommodate any of our special requests. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. It was absolutely perfect for our October 2021 wedding. The grounds are stunning and the staff is incredible. Leigh, Robert Ryan's event planner, was so kind and patient and helped us through the entire planning process. Our guests raved about the venue, the food, and friendliness of the staff. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an extraordinary place within easy driving distance of Philly to have their wedding/reception.

I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. It was absolutely perfect for our October 2021 wedding. The grounds are stunning and the staff is incredible. Leigh, Robert Ryan's event planner, was so kind and patient and helped us through the entire planning process. Our guests raved about the venue, the food, and friendliness of the staff. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an extraordinary place within easy driving distance of Philly to have their wedding/reception.

I cannot say enough good things about this venue. Nearly all of the compliments from our guests were how much they loved the scenery, being outdoors under the tent, and the food. Our wedding would not have been as amazing as it was without this venue and the amazing team.Every coordinator and staff member we worked with went above and beyond - not only for us, but for all of our guests. Every question was answered almost immediately during the planning process, they were able to accommodate everything we asked for down to the tiniest details, and the day itself could not have gone smoother.I cannot recommend this venue, and the amazing team at Philander Chase, enough!

Due to Covid-19, my fiancé and I decided to move our May 2021 wedding to an outdoor venue. We visited over ten venues between our original search prior to the pandemic and our second search when we realized our indoor wedding was not going to be possible in May. While we ultimately did not choose Philander Chase Knox because of our budget constraints (having already lost a lot of money to our first venue), Leigh was by far the best and most helpful person that we met with out of everyone that we met during our venue search. We really appreciated how honest and up front she was especially regarding costs. She actually sat with us and drew up several contracts and pricing options during our tour! Philander Chase Knox is a gorgeous venue and their offerings during the coronavirus pandemic are definitely deserving of a five star rating. If we could start over from the beginning, we would have definitely chosen Philander Chase Knox and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue. I cannot say enough good things about Leigh.

We had our wedding at philander Chase Cox Estate. The venue was beautiful in the fall! then you also made all of our gas feel comfortable during Covid times. Leigh was easy to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process. She got back to us very quickly and tried her best to accommodate us with our asks.We had Luke, as our day of coordinator. He was fantastic to work with! He made sure the day ran smoothly without any issues. He made sure that everybody was where they need to be and stuff to the timeline. He was so personable, organized and easy to work with. Luke offered us with some great ideas and suggestions to make the day that much better. We highly recommend Luke as your day of coordinator!We also had Chef Danny make all the food for the wedding! Everybody cannot stop talking about how fantastic the food was for cocktail hour and reception. Everything was exactly what we talked about during our tasting. Everything came out hot and on time. Chef Danny is great to work with! He’s a great chef!

We had our wedding at philander Chase Cox Estate. The venue was beautiful in the fall! then you also made all of our gas feel comfortable during Covid times. Leigh was easy to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process. She got back to us very quickly and tried her best to accommodate us with our asks.We had Luke, as our day of coordinator. He was fantastic to work with! He made sure the day ran smoothly without any issues. He made sure that everybody was where they need to be and stuff to the timeline. He was so personable, organized and easy to work with. Luke offered us with some great ideas and suggestions to make the day that much better. We highly recommend Luke as your day of coordinator!We also had Chef Danny make all the food for the wedding! Everybody cannot stop talking about how fantastic the food was for cocktail hour and reception. Everything was exactly what we talked about during our tasting. Everything came out hot and on time. Chef Danny is great to work with! He’s a great chef!

From the moment we arrived, they were constantly present, always making sure the bridal party and family had food and drinks. Leigh is so calm and collected and very detail oriented. There was not one meeting that we had together that she didn't write down everything we said to ensure that we got everything we needed and wanted on our day. Our day of coordinator was Luke, and he is phenomenal. He, like Leigh, is very detailed and when we arrived, the venue was set up exactly how we had envisioned it! We seriously lucked out with amazing weather, which only made the setting that much more stunning. I think just about every guest told us how beautiful the venue was, and they are so right! The food was amazing. All of the appetizers we tried were delicious and everyone really enjoyed their entrees. The cake, (although from a different vendor) which is included in the catering package, was phenomenal! Not to sound biased, but honestly it was the best wedding cake I've ever had. The event staff was so good to us and our guests from the time we arrived to the time we left for the evening. They made sure we had at least one of each of our appetizers, and asked if we needed anything countless times throughout the evening. Our entire event went so smoothly and it was such a stress-free day thanks to Leigh, Luke and the rest of the staff. I could not recommend having your wedding at PCK enough!

Like others have said, PCK is a gorgeous venue. We had a beautiful wedding that people really enjoyed! Someone told us our wedding was more fun than theirs which made us feel good. The food was outstanding. We had a guest who told us that it was the best \"wedding food\" he's ever had. Overall, our guests had a great time and the staff from RRC were super professional and provided excellent service. I do want to give Luke a shout out! Luke has a very warm personality and it was obvious to me that he's able to deal with all kinds of guests (both pleasant and ornery) which is the ideal skill to have when working a wedding, to say the least. He went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. He really did take the stress out of the day by directing guests and our bridal party, plus he made sure everything was set up exactly how I envisioned it! Thank you, Luke! I have to give Leigh a shout out, too. She answered all of my questions no matter how dumb or whether it was already covered in the packet (sorry, Leigh -- wedding brain is a real thing!!). She is super friendly and organized and very good at her job. Thank you, Leigh!! I do want to mention some negative parts of our experience with PCK/RRC. First, as others have mentioned, you are only allowed on site 2 hours before your ceremony. This adds to the stress of the day for photos. I do understand they probably don't want people there super early, but 2 hours is not enough. They said we could come one hour earlier for a fee of $500. That is insane and unreasonable to me, given the amount of money we were spending on catering alone. Also, your tasting isn't really a traditional tasting. You get to try a handful of the hors d'oeuvres but our main issue was with the main course. You are only allowed to try 2 entrees (protein) when in reality, you are offering 4 options (3 proteins, 1 vegetarian) for the entree to your guests. My husband and I wanted to try all 4 dishes at the very least so we knew what we were serving to our guests. The benefit is it is a \"private tasting\" which is lovely, but I'd rather go to a group tasting and get to try more food so I know what we're in for. At the end of the day, RRC let us do a second tasting which we had to pay for (originally $75 per person but we were able to negotiate). I also had mentioned a few times my concern about security of the gifts when it was suggested that we put the gift table near the main entrance, which was met with \"we've never had an issue with theft\" -- it's on a public park, anything can happen. We actually ended up having some theft (just our luck) but there are no security cameras in the house. I let RRC know, and they said they would investigate and get back to me. They never followed up, so I had to reach out and I was told that the investigation came up with nothing. Finally, our decorations were hastily put away and some things broke, which was a bummer. All that being said, I do think PCK is a great venue and RRC has delicious food and a great staff. We loved our wedding and wouldn't change a thing!

John, Empire's owner, did not answer my posed question about the distance between the parked cars (after several communication attempts).He said I could take him to court. Really, for $200? Robert Ryan Catering's unwillingness to get involved (or answer the distance question) and amicably settle the matter for $200 makes them look cheap. RRC referred me to the Valley Forge National Park general phone #....passing the buck to the Estate's owners, an insulting obvious dead end.Waited a long time for my entree, then was told they ran out and I got the 3rd choice item which was disappointing. Liked the hors d'oeuvres though.

This venue is absolutely stunning! It was everything and more that we were looking for. I had spent countless hours looking for something like this in New Jersey but it either couldn't hold our guest count or had huge up front fee that didn't include anything. PCK fit the bill, it was rustic, elegant, and the park surrounding it was exquisite. It allowed us to get some of the most amazing photos for our big day. The tent behind the house was perfect, it had that perfect ambiance to it. There's no other way to describe the whole venue other than perfect.

There aren't enough words to describe how incredible our experience was at Philander Chase Knox. It was the first venue we looked at and we instantly fell in love. No other place compared in beauty or in accommodations. Leigh was incredibly helpful from day one answering our endless questions. The wedding day was absolutely perfect. We had Luke as our day of coordinator and he made our day 100% stress fee. He set up everything exactly the way we wanted and made sure the days events stayed on schedule. I was crushed when it was raining the day of the wedding, and we had to move to plan b. But the ceremony under the tent was more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! Even though we didn't go to the cocktail hour since we were having pictures taken, the wedding party was provided with their own tray of the appetizers and we were able to order drinks that were brought to us while we took pictures! Margery made sure that we were comfortable the entire wedding and was so pleasant to work with throughout the night. She helped with everything from making sure my train didn't get drug through any puddles, making sure we didn't need any food or drinks, running into the house for the toss bouquet, and packing up at the end of the night. People all told me I wouldn't have time to eat the day of the wedding, but that was not true at all with Robert Ryan Catering. We were served our food first and the staff made sure that we had what we needed at all times. And speaking of the food, it was delicious-and all of our guests raved about it! From start to finish the staff of Robert Ryan Catering made our night absolutely stress-free and absolutely unforgettable. They handled everything from setup to breakdown. The only thing we had to worry about was enjoying ourselves! I would recommend anyone and everyone to have their wedding at Philander Chase Knox Estate or anywhere with Robert Ryan Catering!

My husband and I knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony in a space that was big enough to fit all of our friends and family, but also reminiscent of the Wissahickon trails near our home where we began our relationship, got engaged, and continue to hike with our dog, Nala. Philander Chase Knox was all of that and more! Between the beautiful historic house, gorgeous ceremony space on a pristine lawn with a creek running behind it, and the abandoned green house on the grounds, our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful the space was. Not to mention, our photographers never ran out of beautiful places to take pictures!During our year and a half long planning process, the venue manager, Leigh, was always so kind and responsive. She never made me feel like any question I had was too small or silly. She worked with us to coordinate multiple trips to the venue so that our families and friends could tour it, if they wanted to, ahead of time. My husband and I knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony in a space that was big enough to fit all of our friends and family, but also reminiscent of the Wissahickon trails near our home where we began our relationship, got engaged, and continue to hike with our dog, Nala. Philander Chase Knox was all of that and more! Between the beautiful historic house, gorgeous ceremony space on a pristine lawn with a creek running behind it, and the abandoned green house on the grounds, our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful the space was. Not to mention, our photographers never ran out of beautiful places to take pictures!During our year and a half long planning process, the venue manager, Leigh, was always so kind and responsive. She never made me feel like any question I had was too small or silly. She worked with us to coordinate multiple trips to the venue so that our families and friends could tour it, if they wanted to, ahead of time. We got married at PCK on 5/11/18 and they went above and beyond. I have never been married before, but I have planned numerous large events and I have never met a staff that was so gracious and accommodating before, during and after the event. We had 185 people and a 10 piece band and not one person complained! From the beginning Leigh was very patient as we went through the details of the wedding and I had questions and concerns. She was responsive and gave great advice when needed. The day of Lisa, was on point always there when we needed her or not and Marjory was our attendent and made sure that we, along with the bridal party needed nothing. The waitstaff and bartenders were friendly and outgoing and people are still commenting on how nice they were. The food was amazing, I am just sorry I didn't get a cheese steak at the end! My guests gobbled them up before I got to them. LOL I thought for the price we got more than we could have asked for. And the setting, I mean you have to see it for yourself, but it is amazing! I would recommended PCK and Robert Ryan Catering to anyone looking to plan a special event!

Philander Chase Knox was the most beautiful location that a bride could ask for on her big day. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine my wedding would be as magical and perfect as it was. I have Robert Ryan Catering and all the wonderful people involved to thank. Mr Ryan was the first person we spoke to (we went to the barn on bridge to look at it as a possible venue location), my mother in law (now!) asked Mr Ryan about PCK (Philander Chase Knox) and he bent over backwards to get us a tour on the property that same day! Right when we walked in we knew it was the place we would get married, what a great feeling!!! Leigh was wonderful through the whole process and dealt with my panicking moments like a champ. Lisa (our day of coordinator) was calm, caring and super organized, thank God for her, she made my nervousness disappear; my mom even mentioned Lisa by name saying that she was wonderful and that she was so happy that she was there for our big day! The top notch service from the waitstaff made Jon and I feel like royalty, we were never thirsty or hungry (which apparently is unheard of at a wedding!). Lisa#2 (one of the wonderful weight staff) was always there offering a drink, which was wonderful for Jon as he loves his IPA's! We had so many people coming up to us and telling us that the wedding was the most beautiful and most fun wedding they've ever been to! Our wedding day could not have been more perfect. From the very beginning we knew we were in good hands with Leigh. She was fantastic and helped with every detail along the way, She really strived to make this the most stress free process possible. If there was something we wanted to tweak that was not an issue. For example we wanted to change the cheese on our salad and wanted some of our food displayed in a certain way. Without hesitation the answer was absolutely no problem. As for our actual wedding day we truly felt like royalty. Our day of coordinator took care of our every need and was well ahead of most requests we would've had. When the ceremony was over our drink order was waiting for us. Since we took awhile taking our pictures they set up a tray with every Hors d'oeuvre for us to try. The same went for placing one of every dessert on our table while we were up talking to our guests. I cannot say enough good about Robert Ryan Catering and everyone who works for them. On top of the great food and service, Philander Chase Knox Estate is absolutely beautiful. We had many people tell us our wedding was the best they have ever attended. If you are looking for the perfect wedding I highly recommend checking out this venue.

Cannot say enough good things about my wedding experience at PCK. From start to finish, working with them was an absolute pleasure. Leigh is amazing to work with during the planning process, very professional and responsive. She never made me feel like I was asking too many questions or sending to many emails, even though I was. The food (Robert Ryan Catering) was unbelievable. I didn't get to enjoy much of it the day of, but during our tasting everything was amazing, and our wedding guests RAVED about the food. Most of them said it was the best wedding food they've had. Setup at the venue was beautiful that day, the day-of coordinator and servers were extremely attentive and polite. Packing our things at the end of the night was done in the blink of an eye, which was something I was concerned that would take a long time and we would miss the after-party, but the staff was super fast and helpful. Beautiful grounds for photos, both inside and out. This venue makes for a very unique wedding, not your cookie cutter venue!! You will not be dissapointed with hosting your event here!!! Thank you!!!

We just had our wedding at the Philander Chase Knox Estate in October 2016. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and magical. My husband and I love Valley Forge Park, and this venue is set against that beautiful backdrop. The inside of the estate is beautiful and the reception tend is a swanky place to eat and dance. The ceremony grounds are also beautiful and as this venues matures, I know they will get even better. Our wedding go to person was Leigh and she could not have been better. She answered all of our questions no matter how silly. We didn't provide final counts and details until right before deadlines, but Leigh was gracious and patient with us. For the day of the event we were given Lisa as our day of coordinator and she was amazing. Lisa pays attention to every detail and makes your day so much less stressful by just know what needs to be done without asking. I had been nervous having Lisa for the event as Leigh was the contact all along, but I could't have asked for a better day of person than Lisa! Robert Ryan Catering provides the food for this venue and it is delicious. You will get a private food tasting to sample your choices and options. Our tasting was out of this world and there was honestly not a bad item that we tried. There was some concern the food wouldn't be as good day of the event since it was being produced for so many guests, but that was an unfounded concern, because the food was just as amazing as it was at the private tasting, My guests raved about the food and my husband and I joke that we wish we could go to Robert Ryan Catering just to have dinner! The set up of the reception tent can be changed to your own preferences and it has amazing lighting options, It is a classy venue and all of my guests made sure to let me know how much they loved it. We just got married at PCK and cannot say enough good things about the experience. I was a little nervous when Leigh told me that the \"day of coordinator\" would be someone other than her. We found out a month in advanced that Luke would be our coordinator. Since we live out of state, we did not meet with him in person until the rehearsal (my mother met with him prior). Luke did an amazing job and everything transitioned from Leigh to him flawlessly. Hurricane Matthew decided to visit our wedding and brought the gift of a little bit of rain. Luke had me make the call about 90 min before the ceremony... I decided to play it safe and chose the \"plan B\" option. I could not be happier that I chose that. For one, the heaviest of the rain happened during the ceremony! But it was also GORGEOUS under that tent with the chairs set up and all the candles we had as centerpieces. I truly can't imagine it being better. The rain plan is truly amazing because you get the feeling as if you are outside with the tent, then the darker sky gives a romantic atmosphere. Guests kept coming up to us and telling us how fantastic the food was... one couple even said it was actually the best salmon they had ever had!!And I can't forget Adrianna... she went above and beyond her duties. My now husband told me as she and the staff were packing up my in-laws car, Adrianna dove right into the truck and made sure everything was going to fit. She was all the way in the bed rearranging the items so they did not need to make 2 trips! - She must be a tetris master :) She was so attentive to both of us throughout the entire wedding!!I have heard that you never get to eat on your wedding day. That is certainly not true with Robert Ryan. We got to enjoy a champagne toast with our bridal party right after the ceremony in the bridal suite... shorty followed by all of the food being passed during cocktail hour. - I thought that was really special. We really didn't want to miss our cocktail hour, but it happened. But that was OK because we got to have plenty of the food! We also had more waiting for us at our table during the reception. I was full! - who gets to say that on their wedding day?! Leigh, Luke, Adrianna, and the rest of the Robert Ryan staff at PCK - We cannot thank you enough for making sure our wedding was absolutely perfect. I could not have imagined a better day!Also - if this didn't convince you to book at PCK, the honey infused butter they use for the rolls should.... AMAZINGTHANK YOU SO MUCH!!-K&K

Weeks before the wedding we met with Leigh our Event Coordinator and Lisa who was the day of coordinator and we left the meeting feeling even more confident of our choice in Robert Ryan. When it came to the day of, everything was set up exactly as we discussed and even more beautiful than I could imagine. Not only was the food amazing, the service from Lisa and her team was incredible to not just the bridal party but to all guests. All our guests we spoke to raved about Robert Ryan and how beautiful the venue is. We were all nervous leading up to the wedding due to the hurricane that was supposed to hit that Sunday, during the rehearsal Lisa could clearly tell I didn't want to talk about the back-up plan and she reassured my mom they will handle it, if it becomes necessary. Such an amazing experience dealing with Robert Ryan and Lisa. I would recommend Philander Chase Knox and Robert Ryan 100%!

My husband and I just recently got married at Philander Chase Knox on Labor Day weekend and we can't believe how perfect the day turned out! It is impossible to say too many good things about Robert Ryan Catering and their newest venue, the Philander Chase Knox Estate. My husband and I were married there in July, and every part of our experience was absolutely perfect! From the beginning of the process the Robert Ryan team was professional, informative, flexible, and so much fun to work with. They truly made the wedding planning process a breeze. We worked with Leigh throughout the planning process and Lisa and Wyatt on the wedding day. They all were spectacular. They made us feel like family (my mom actually asked if we had known Wyatt before the wedding...he was THAT good), made sure we had everything we needed, and our guests have not stopped raving about the food, and the expert and personal service they received from the staff! There is absolutely nothing we would have changed about the wedding day, and we have Robert Ryan Catering and the Philander Chase Knox Estate to thank for that! They really thought of everything, and executed every detail perfectly! All we had to do was show up and enjoy every minute of the day! If you are thinking about booking this venue, do it! I promise you will not be disappointed!

We just had our wedding at the Philander Chase Knox Estate (PCK) on Memorial Day weekend. This venue was recently renovated and is a new venue for Robert Ryan catering. I believe we were the 2nd wedding to ever take place there.Dealing with Robert Ryan Catering at PCK was a BREEZE. Our event coordinator, Leigh, took care of everything. We just showed up at various meetings and picked what we wanted from the options that were presented to us. My bride wanted to incorporate a \"Southern\" flair so they even developed recipes custom for us and presented them to us for our approval at a private tasting. They are a true one-stop-shop venue. They provided everything from catering, to the venue itself, the tables, chairs, linens, tent, lighting, valet parking and bar tenders. All we had to do was provide the florist, photographer and music. With all there is to do when planning and executing a wedding, it was nice to know that the vast majority was handled by skilled and experience staff. Best of all, when you consider the all inclusiveness of it, their prices are very reasonable. All said - I would HIGHLY recommend Robert Ryan Catering and the Philander Chase Knox Estate. I have already recommended them and will continue to do so. A+
