The Prickel Barn....A WEDDING WEEKEND EXPERIENCE
The Prickel Barn is a privately owned barn that sits abreast a 200 acre farm located in the heart of Boone County (Verona), Ky. We have HVAC and Wifi. The barn is the largest open area venue in the tri-state area. It's poised with a rustic, shabby chic look and a zest of extraordinary elegance. Although it looks like a barn it has the presence of a church with an old rugged cross as a staple centerpiece among the interior. The Bridal suite is the perfect space to get ready as you experience your inner little girl fairy-tale fantasy prior to your big moment! The Groom's room is a great place to hang out with the guys as he awaits seeing his bride. We offer a 2 1/2 day EXPERIENCE. Amazing night! We just had our daughters wedding there a couple weeks ago and I cannot say enough good about the entire night!! The staff were so helpful and the venue itself was absolutely beautiful! Throughout the entire process, the owners were more than accommodating on all levels. They were such a pleasure to work with and made us feel like family. Their recommendations were spot on especially when it came to the coordinator Ro!! She brought down the house the night of the wedding and was so much fun to work with. She was detailed, extremely organized and made the rehearsal and wedding night worry free! I cannot say enough good about Angie and Randy! Randy even offered such kind and comforting words to our daughter when it was time for her to walk down the aisle and she was a nervous wreck! He made her feel so much more at ease!

The setting for my son's wedding was amazing! This venue is beyond beautiful! The staff was so attentive and helpful, which helped the bride and groom's special day go so smoothly. We could not have asked for a better place to host our friends and family for their wedding!

We loved the Prickel Barn for our big day!! Was exactly what we wanted for our huge wedding of 300 and had the perfect chic barn look. The land around the venue was magical for our pictures after the wedding ceremony. The staff at the venue were more than helpful and kind with putting together our vision.

Angie and Randy are an amazing couple and they work really hard to make sure your wedding day is perfect! Because of them, I was able to relax on my big day and just enjoy it. Their contract was very straight forward, and even amidst COVID-19 challenges, they were very accommodating and our wedding went off with no issues! They even came to our wedding reception to check in and give their congratulations to us, and we couldn't be happier with our venue. Beautiful, spacious, tastefully decorated, and the owners and workers were all a pleasure. We heard nothing but great things from our guests too! Thank you Angie and Randy!

5/5 Stars!!!! I'm not even sure where to begin when describing my experience with The Prickel Barn and the Prickel family. Having a wedding during a pandemic is hard enough, but I believe that after planning about three weddings or so during that time, I was truly meant to get married at the Prickel Barn. Not only was Angie the most gracious host, but the venue was absolutely stunning. The price included set up and breakdown the next day, which I can say is a huge help. There is nothing worse than having to clean the venue the night of the wedding or the next morning. Also included was the shuttle service for the guests and free parking, a BREATHTAKING venue (I'm serious guys, it's gorgeous) and you get the barn for the entire weekend. It's so nice to be able to go the night before to set up pictures, place signs and decorate. Plus, anything you leave there the night of, you an come pick it up the next day! They truly made this entire process so easy. In fact, if you want to make your life even easier, I would 100% recommend renting center pieces, various signs, flower arrangements, etc. It saves so much time, money and they are stunning! Plus, it was nice not having to worry about worry about picking those things up the next day. The bridal and groomsmen's suite are awesome and HUGE. So nice to have a space dedicated to both parties that could actually accommodate our large bridal part (17). Also, on a side note, the landscape and grounds make for incredible pictures! They even have a little swing in the back on this massive/beautiful oak tree. Overall, working with Angie was the best. She promptly answered all my questions and genuinely seemed to care about making my wedding day perfect. She went above and beyond what we paid for and I couldn't recommend this venue enough. I'm telling you all, it's worth EVERY FREAKING PENNY. You won't regret getting married at this beautiful location. She takes care of her people and will go above and beyond to try to accommodate special requests. She's more than a fair business woman and I feel really good that I was able to help a great small business during this time. God Bless!

Where do I even begin?! If you are looking for a venue that has the Lord as its focus, that is elegantly beautiful and has a modern country feel, then the Prickel Barn is just the place! Angie & Randy Prickel are such an outgoing & Godly couple! They have been nothing short of spectacular to work with. They’re very accommodating and always responded in a timely fashion. We had a couple of challenges the day before the wedding and they helped us overcome them with such ease. At the end of our wedding night, Angie & Randy prayed with and over us. I am so happy to say that they truly have also become life long friends!! I couldn’t imagine having my special day anywhere else. The Prickel Barn helped to make it that much more perfect. I would highly recommend this venue for ANY event!

We had an amazing experience at the Prickle Barn. We had looked at other venues but when I took my daughter and her fiance' to the Prickle Barn, it was a done deal. As soon as we walked in, they both said \"we want this place\".Everything was set up just as we had asked. Angie and her team were awesome to work with. They had staff on hand the night of the wedding to work with our wedding planner to make sure all ran smoothly. It went off perfectly. The venue is beyond beautiful. The setting is gorgeous.To have it all under one roof (ceremony & reception) is the best deal. It stormed during the reception but we couldn't even tell with the party going on. Angie had a driver there at the door to chauffeur guests back to their vehicles in the rain.If your plan is to have the most amazing wedding for your daughter, this is the place.Angie has the barn decorated quite nicely. However, there is PLENTY of room to add your own touch.Thanks Angie for allowing us to make our daughter's dream come true.Brenda and Jeff

Not only does this venue speak for itself with its outstanding beauty. But the people who run it are a true testament to God's work and love. I was fortunate enough to get married in this gorgeous place and was able to make a life long friend. Angie made sure everything I needed was fulfilled. She even came by the morning of the see me and my daughter as we got ready. To see her have tears in her eyes as she seen us and hugged us, made me realize how much she genuinely cares, and how much heart and souls she puts in her work. What business owner does that? I had not met this family until the day we walked into the Barn for a tour. After that meeting, I gained a venue and a friend. Through all the wedding planning Angie and her devoted team answered all my questions, helped me in any way possible, shoot she even gave me life advice one day when I wrote her overwhelmed. This business was more than a business to us. It was a true experience. I am so unbelievably blessed to have chosen to get married here. I couldn't recommend this place enough. There's so much love here, so much heart that the Prickel Barn incorporates in everything they do. If you're looking for a place to get married, please consider this. Because I would be willing to bet, once you tour the barn and meet the loving team, you will feel right at home. Just meet them, take a tour, consider getting more than a venue. Buyer beware--- changing terms of the contract is not cool. To keep this venue we had to come up with $6k six months early! So for this reason we are now out $2300 of a non-refundable deposit, and have no venue. Bad business, and word travels fast in this area!

Angie Prickel (President) I am the wife of Randy Prickel, married since 1990, mother of two amazing sons, President/ owner of 4 businesses and pride myself being a Christian. I built and started The Prickel Barn on Christian principles and care deeply for all the families that come and share their special day here. I love people and take pride in all that I do. I love design and creating new ideas in construction and in business. I love planning things and being organized. I am a positive and proactive person and enjoy seeing each brides final product come to LIFE! Let's experience THE BARN together!!
