We specialize in making your wedding day and the whole planning process easy, stress-free, and just your style. The Prizing House is a unique wedding destination, brimming with rich character and old-world details. The brick structure was originally built in 1917 as a tobacco prizing house. Located in Cynthiana, Kentucky just outside Lexington and Georgetown, the all-brick exterior of The Prizing House is complimented inside with exposed brick walls and beams, the original hardwood floors, large chandeliers, and a variety of remarkable details. Offering more than 5,000 square feet of space, The Prizing House can be configured to meet the needs of almost any group, including wedding receptions, business events, office parties, reunions, and more. We frequently host smaller weddings, as well as events of 300 or more guests. We've been hosting weddings and receptions at The Prizing House for over a decade, so we know how to help make your day memorable, stylish, and fun. Our event coordinators help you with layout, timeline, and decor. Mandy and Nell Anne were both so professional and were there to manage the whole wedding day! The Prizing House staff was great to work with the entire time and treated us like family. Planning was a breeze and allowed me to focus on finishing up medical school without distraction. Thanks to them everything went seemlessly and was beautiful! All my guests thoroughly enjoyed their time, loved the food and drinks, and the venue. If we had to plan a wedding again, we would definitely go with Prizing House again. My husband and I got married at the Prizing House this past September, and I would absolutely recommend this venue! We had both our ceremony and reception at the Prizing House. Mandy and Nell Anne quickly replied to all e-mails during the planning process and truly helped us make sure all of the details were planned out as our day got closer and closer. We also loved how Mandy and Nell Anne really helped coordinate things the day of. We really didn’t have to worry about a thing and were truly able to sit back and enjoy our wedding day. The food was amazing, the staff was always attentive, and the space is absolutely beautiful! I cannot thank Mandy, Nell Anne, and the other Prizing House staff enough for making our day so special!

We had our wedding at the Prizing House and I cannot say enough good things about this venue. Nell Anne and Mandy go above and beyond to ensure that your wedding day is perfect. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the venue is gorgeous. I would recommend this venue for anyone looking for a classy and affordable venue!

We had our wedding at the Prizing House and I cannot say enough good things about this venue! Nell Anne and Mandy go above and beyond to make your wedding day the best day of your life. We had our wedding last October and our friends and family still talk about how memorable our wedding day was. The food is delicious, the venue is beautiful, and the staff is friendly. I recommend this venue for anyone who is looking for a venue that is both memorable and affordable!

We used the Prizing House in Cynthiana for our wedding and reception location. \rThe location used to be a skating rink that was turned into an event space by Nell Anne and Mandy Gossett. Walking into the building, you can't even tell it was a skating rink. The walls are dark and rich and the space is filled with antiques from around the area. \rThey have their own catering so you cannot bring outside catering but the food was absolutely amazing. For our reception we had three mini sliders consiting of a black and blue burger, a regular slider and a southwest slider. The meal also consisted of green beans and parmesian garlic potatoes. During the cocktail hour, we had chocolate cleminites and I think it was an artichoke dip on a blue tortilla chip. We were able to take some of our food home with us and it was amazing.
