Located in Matawan, NJ, The Reception Center by Mayer Catering is a banquet hall venue that hosts weddings and other landmark events. This family-owned facility specializes in outstanding cuisine and excellent service. You may call on these catering and event experts to help create a truly remarkable dining experience for your special day. The Reception Center by Mayer Catering draws on three generations and over 40 years of culinary and event planning experience. This team tends to only one wedding at a time so that you can feel confident that they will give you and your important day their full attention. Their indoor event spaces include the Grand Ballroom, an expansive and well-furnished room. This elegant space allows for celebrations of up to 275 guests in size. Additionally, a separate part room is available to host more intimate gatherings and sit-down dinners. The garden area is a secluded outdoor space that allows for your reception to be extended outside. Furthermore, wheelchair-accessible features and wireless internet add convenience and comfort for all guests. The Reception Center by Mayer Catering team offers hospitality and luxury for your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Their wedding packages include the services of a wedding coordinator, maitre d', and suite attendant to help your day proceed seamlessly. Let me start off by saying our wedding was absolutely perfect and everything I envisoned. Marybeth and her team are amazing! Marybeth is very responsive to all emails and makes the wedding process so easy along the way. From the moment you step in the Reception Center til the last day you walk out you are treated like royalty. The place is beautiful and the food is exceptional! All our guests kept telling us throughout the night how good the food was!!! My husband and I absolutely loved all the staff and our maitre D (Amina) and our captain ( Nicole) were incredible! We highly recommend this place for your next event or wedding!

I can't say enough things about The Reception Center and their team!!! We had such a fabulous time at our own wedding and we owe it all to Marybeth and her staff. The staff is incredible. So attentive, made sure everything was perfect. It all went better and smoother than I could have ever imagined. From start to finish, the planning process, communication, help with finding vendors, dealing with last minute requests from us with a smile and a YES. Everyone who attended said the food was incredible (I wish I had eaten more, I wouldnāt have eaten at all most likely had it not been for the staff! They made me a plate and made me sit for 5 minutes and eat something, so grateful to them for that!) We had such an unbelievable time at our own wedding because we never had to think of a thing once it got started! This place is amazing and the most reasonably priced place we found to boot. They could easily charge more and it would still be worth it. I can't thank them enough for giving us such an extraordinary evening through all of their hard work. It was an amazing night and they made it happen! We thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

From the very start of our wedding planning, Marybeth made everything so much less stressful. She was always willing to answer any and all questions. She is extremely knowledgeable! On the day of our wedding, Marybeth was there to check in with us to make sure everything was going just as planned. We had our wedding here 4/22/23 and cannot recommend this venue enough!!The best kept secret in Monmouth County, truly. Their wedding coordinator, Marybeth, is a saint. From the moment we had our tour, I got the best vibes from her - I knew this would be our venue and we would be in good handsā¦and we were! Communication was spot-on over the 1.5 years we had the wedding booked - all my incessant (and sometimes irrational š¤£) emails were answered with compassion. I had very specific details for decor and Marybeth and the team truly delivered (we used a combination of our decor and theirs - they have absolutely beautiful centerpieces with silk florals). We ended up with the most beautiful spring day and were able to do our first look in their āpicture gardenā The food was amazing, staff was amazing, everything was amazing. They took such good care of us the night of - the wait staff was so professional, our maitreād was always available to us, my drink was never emptyā¦ we spent the whole night on the dance floor and they packed our food and desserts for us to take home. Pricing was affordable, but quality did not lack at all. I could go on and on and on but to sum it up, if I could do this whole process over, I would choose the reception center again and again. I just hope and pray that someone I know gets married there so I can be a guest š

We had our wedding (both ceremony and reception) at The Reception Center in August 2022. Marybeth was awesome, helpful and accommodating from day one. Very responsive to any questions and concerns. She even accommodated to my request for changing the layout based upon the number of people attending (I wanted the whole dance floor and not \"cut\" in half by a divider). The staff was excellent, the food was great, and it was all-around a wonderful event. The price was well worth the value, and less expensive than most if not all of the other venues we interviewed, and our wedding was amazing. Highly recommend!

We loved this venue as soon as we arrived to our first visit. It was cozy, not too big and not too small either. It was just perfect. Marybeth was super helpful and the staff on the wedding day were fantastic. Thanks to the lady that was in charge of the sweethearts table. She was excellent! The food was delicious and the cake, as my guests put it, was the best wedding cake ever! I'm so happy we picked this place. We had an amazing time at our wedding and our guests did too. I had my bridal shower at The Reception Center about a month ago. This place is a hidden gem! Not only is the venue beautiful, but the staff is so polite, friendly and professional. Everyone was so accommodating and happy to help in any way they can to make your day amazing. The food is delicious, and my guests are still complimenting me on the variety and quality of food offered. I am so glad I decided to have my bridal shower here and cannot wait to plan another event at The Reception Center!

I had my bridal shower at The Reception Center about a month ago. This place is a hidden gem! Not only is the venue beautiful, but the staff is so polite, friendly and professional. Everyone was so accommodating and happy to help in any way they can to make your day amazing. The food is delicious, and my guests are still complimenting me on the variety and quality of food offered. I am so glad I decided to have my bridal shower here and cannot wait to plan another event at The Reception Center!

Not only is the staff absolutely wonderful, but the food is phenomenal, it's very affordable, and the over all experience was fantastic. As a Covid bride who needed to postpone, they were so kind and helpful during the whole experience. Marybeth, the Wedding Coordinator, is amazing, and was attentive and communicative from booking up until the day of. The staff working our wedding were great as well. We received so many compliments on the food- that it was the best wedding food our guests ever had, and how awesome it was that there were so many different and delicious foods during cocktail hour. (Seriously, cocktail hour is amazing and I hope to be invited to a wedding as a guest to eat it again!)The ballroom was beautiful and the night was perfect. We are so happy to have had our wedding there!

My husband and I just got married July 24, 2021 & let me tell you, the reception center and their staff are FANTASTIC. I was no Bridezilla, but the wedding coordinator MaryBeth, Iām telling you is heaven sent. From beginning to end she had my back making sure everything was going to be perfect, a calm, stress free, soft spoken woman- all the right vibes for someone planning a wedding lol ! There were two women who waited on us hand and foot the day of the wedding, one being The Mater Dei- Jessie and they literally treat you like royalty lol I didnāt have to think about a thing. If o could do it all over, I wouldnāt do a single thing different if it guaranteed the staff, food, and atmosphere would be the same. Thank you guys sooooo much !!!!!!!!

Had our wedding here recently and it was amazing. From the time I went venue shopping, and came to see this place and met Mary Beth, I knew this was the place I wanted to get married. The whole ambiance of the place, and Mary Beth was amazing throughout the entire process. She was patient with all the different gongs I threw her way and changes I made. They test of the staff were amazing as well on the wedding day and made sure everything went smoothly. They were attentive to our every need. Although we didnāt really have time to eat and really enjoy the food, they were kind enough to pack up our dinner to take home that night! I would definitely recommend having your event here.

It was honestly the best night of our lives! The food was out of this world and we loved that we were able to have a tasting before we booked. Marybeth and Brian were very understanding about covid and worked with us through out and weāre more than willing to work with us on our original guest count. I canāt thank The Reception Center enough for everything. They truly blew us away and made our wedding a dream.

It was honestly the best night of our lives! The food was out of this world and we loved that we were able to have a tasting before we booked. From the booking to the wedding, The Reception Center at St. Clement was PERFECT! We booked our venue 2 years ago, and Mary - Beth kept in contact, updating me every time she got a payment. We actually wound up getting pregnant around the same time, and she accommodated me, calling me instead of having our meetings in person, and even when she went on maternity leave she gave us all of the information we needed so that it was a seamless transition! It was extremely helpful. We picked the venue without doing the tasting, but when we went to the tasting to pick out our food, we had trouble picking just a few because they were all so good! The week of our wedding, we had some people cancel and had to move some tables around, updated our escort cards (which were very confusing) and they did everything we asked! The day of our wedding went perfectly! The cocktail hour was done with a pianist and the entire building was decorated beautifully. We made our own centerpieces and they executed my vision to the T. Our matreād, Jessica made sure we were taken care of all night. The food the night of was even better than the tasting! Our cake was AMAZING. I canāt say enough good things about this place. There is a beautiful outdoor garden where you can take phots, and the fountain out front is another great photo op! Thank you so much for making our wedding more than we could have asked for!

We were recommended to the reception center from a family friend. This person went on and on about how beautiful the venue, and how delicious the food was. Immediately I set up an appointment to take a look for myself. Upon walking I was overwhelmed with how beautiful of a space it was. I especially loved that they only have one wedding at a time. This had been the first venue we visited and we booked that very day for March 30, 2019 choosing the majestic package. Our bridal coordinator, Marybeth, was with us from that the very first day until our wedding day. I cannot begin to explain how easy and effortless she made my wedding planing. We booked 18 months before our ā I doāsā, and no matter how silly my questions were ( and believe me there were MANY) she always answered quickly and professionally. The day of my wedding was extremely smooth. We had both ceremony and reception, and both were beautiful. My husband was so concerned about not enjoying our cocktail hour, and were reassured time and time again we would have lot of treats waiting for us inside the bridal suite. They did not disappoint whatsoever, the food was delicious. My bridal party was able to taste everything without having to go from station to station. Our bridal attendant was amazing, constantly replenishing our drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. The entire staff was excellent. Our wedding cake was not only beautiful but it was delicious! My guests continue to reach out to us with compliments on how wonderful everything was. Pam was amazing with helping to bring my Gatsby theme to life for our NYE wedding. The day of the wedding could not have gone more smoothly. I cannot say enough about the Reception center. The room was gorgeous, and the food was amazing. Mary Beth was a huge help throughout our planning, and up to the minute my wife walked down the aisle. Peg created the most amazing dƩcor I could imagine. My wife explained her vision, and Peg ran with it. She created a room that blew away anything my wife or I could have ever imagined. The service at the reception center is second to none. All of the staff there are extremely kind, and attentive. My wife and I were never without a drink, and anytime we looked as though we needed something, Hazel, and Amina were there to help.I truly cannot recommend the Reception Center more. They created a beautiful night, and gave my wife and I a wedding that we, and our guests, will never forget.

My wedding day was November 24, 2018, it was the best day Ever!!!!! As our guest are still talking about it through social media, how amazing this place is.... Let me start by saying that \"The Reception Center Of Saint Clement\" is hidden jewel. I came across this venue on the knot, it caught my attention because of the 5 star it was given, 1st venue we looked at and we fell in love with this place, though we looked at several others. This venue was the place for our wedding, the elegant look, intimate and romantic feel of the place, is breathtaking. Lets start with Marybeth the wedding coordinator of the Reception Center, she was an angel, she helped me through every step of the planning, for my dream wedding. Marybeth, you did it, the venue looked beautiful!!! food was exceptional, from the cocktail hour, Buffet Dinner that we choose and Venetian desert, with the Waffle and Ice cream station. Our guest couldn't stop raving about it the whole night, and they are still texting and talking about it through social media, about the food, how beautiful the place looked and the service from the staff. 5 Stars!!! My husband and I want to especially thank our Matrie D, Hazel, I love her!!! We had bridal suite and Hazel took care of us and our bridal party, I can't forget Zoe, she kept our drinks coming, for all of us, thank you girl. Hazel thank you for packing food for my husband and I, since you knew we barely ate the whole night. Marybeth, Hazel, Zoe, and the whole staff, you guys made our wedding day so beautiful and memorable for us, we are grateful and thankful!!!! Love you guys!!!!Mr. & Mrs Harmon

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here. This was an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff was awesome and on top of everything all night. The food was amazing! Every detail was carefully considered and my husband and I had staff asking us and our guests all evening long if we needed anything. They set up exactly like we wanted and helped us with all of our items at the end of the evening. I would highly recommend you go here before you book anywhere else in the area. I heard about The Reception Center on a Facebook thread. I checked out their website & then e-mailed to inquire about packages & cost information. I received a reply quickly, and Marybeth attached the wedding packages and cost information. Most of the other venues that I contacted ignored questions regarding packages and costs until we booked a tour with them. The Reception Center was within our budget, so we did the Tasting and Tour a few days later. I went with my wedding-planner-pro sister. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the dĆ©cor & ambiance of the venue. Marybeth asked if there were any food allergies beforehand. I have celiac, so they put all of the gluten free food on a different plate to avoid cross-contamination. The food was delicious. My sister and I were sold on the venue. It didnāt take much to convince my husband and we booked the venue the following Saturday. Marybeth was super helpful during the entire planning process, every question I had was answered (even if I asked the same question 3 different times). She somehow managed to alleviate a lot of the stress that goes along with planning a wedding. They even made me my own little gluten free cake! Our wedding went flawlessly. Marybeth & Peg were so helpful and even though I was a nervous wreck, Peg somehow managed to calm me down. Our maĆ®tre d was amazingā¦ she knew what we needed before we knew it. Everyone was raving about the food and the shakes & slider station was the biggest hit!

We cannot be happier with our decision to have our wedding (both ceremony and reception) at The Reception Center at Saint Clement! Marybeth and the staff have been extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process, and I cannot thank them enough. Marybeth, especially, was very knowledgeable and experienced so she knew exactly how to handle things ahead of time. Without her, I don't think our wedding would've gone as smoothly as it did! I heard of no issues during our wedding, and everyone had only great things to say about the service and staff members. Most importantly, the food was SUPERB. Everyone RAVED about the food, and I am still wishing we had leftovers to eat! The cake was divine, and they surprised me with how gorgeous the cake looked! It looked exactly like the inspiration photo I sent them. I've recommended this venue to all of my engaged friends - it truly is the best kept secret in NJ. (In fact, I honestly hope that at least one of them will book the venue just so I can experience this all over again!) The ambiance was beautiful, Peggy did a wonderful job with the color scheme for the lighting and tables. Literally everything from beginning to end of the whole wedding planning experience was taken care of by the expertise of the staff. Words will never describe how happy my husband and I are that we chose The Reception Center at Saint Clement. The day that we did a tour of the venue, was the day that we just knew that was where we wanted to get married. We did not even look at any other places. From day one, Marybeth and everyone at the Reception Center were absolutely amazing, professional and extremely helpful. Any questions I had, or help I ever needed, Marybeth was ALWAYS there for us, and always so happy to help. She really truly cares about making your wedding as perfect as it could possibly be, and turning all of your wants into a reality. I could not have asked to work with anyone better than Marybeth. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The day of our wedding, was honestly more beautiful than I even pictured. You see the ballroom set up for your tour and you see how beautiful it is.. but when that room is set up for your wedding... it changes everything. I was blown away. Marybeth asked us if we wanted to take a sneak peak of the ballroom during cocktail hour before everyone sees it and I just looked around and started to tear up at how perfect everything was, it was even more amazing than the picture I had in my head. Our guests are still talking about how our cocktail hour was the best that they have ever had at a wedding, and are STILL raving about the dinner and the cake! Our maitre d' was also amazing, she did everything for us. There was never a time that I actually needed something, because she was so on top of everything. I highly recommend The Reception Center at St Clements!! It was the best decision we made. The entire staff is so nice, we always felt so welcomed every time we walked in. The food is so amazing!! Cocktail hour was incredible and we LOVED our cake!! It looked and tasted amazing! We received compliments all night about how great the food was and how nice the venue looked!! The room is very spacious and has a bar on each side!! The wedding coordinator Marybeth is the absolute BEST! She was so extremely helpful and so easy to work with!! She really calmed my nerves and made sure everything was perfect!! The night of the wedding everything turned out so great. I wish we could do it all over again. There aren't enough ways to explain what an absolutely amazing place this is. The Reception Center was one of 4 places my wife and I had agreed to take a look at this being our third and once we walked in we knew it was the right place. You enter and all you can see is this beautiful piano and you just get this feeling from the place and once we saw the hall it was that Wow feeling people tell you about when you know its the right place. Marybeth was absolutely the best she made you feel like you were her top priority and the only party she was planning but at the same time made you feel so relaxed and calm. She was full of advice and recommendation. You can't explain how great it feels knowing you have nothing to worry about because she was on top of everything and everything was going to be perfect. And to top it all off THE FOOD IS AMAZING! The cocktail hour was so good and the dinner just far and beyond what we imagined The entire staff was so nice and help. I really can't thank them enough for making it the best day ever. And for the price its just unbeatable! You must see this place before choosing your wedding venue

The Reception Center is a hidden gem!! My husband and I had a very difficult time deciding upon a reception venue. After visiting many venues in the Monmouth and Ocean county area, we walked into The Reception Center and we instantly knew it was the one! Our maitre d', MaryBeth was very accommodating and professional throughout the process. Every time I had a question, she was very responsive and clear. MaryBeth also had a very easy going demeanor that put a lot of my anxiety revolving around the day at ease. She was very accommodating with any last minute changes and making sure my husband and I's day went as smoothly as possible! Peg also knew just what to do with color coordination throughout the venue. The venue and the staff were phenomenal! Our guests raved about the food!! I hope to return to The Reception Center as a guest to enjoy the food and experience from a different perspective! The Reception Center is definitely a hidden gem and one of the best values in the Central Jersey area!

We got married on June 23, 2018 and couldnāt be happier that we chose The Reception Center not only for our reception, but for our ceremony as well. From the minute we walked in and met with Marybeth we knew this was where we wanted to get married. Even the owner came out to meet us. Marybeth worked well with our vendors to accommodate their needs since we were having the ceremony and reception at the venue. She made the whole wedding planning process easy. Anytime I had a question or concern I called her and she instantly had an answer or solution. She was vet prompt in getting back to me when she needed to. She was always one step ahead of me (which is pretty difficult to do). We loved that we had our own private bridal suite and cocktail hour. We were able to arrive before our guest and relax a bit before our ceremony. When we arrived Marybeth was there to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed. The attendant in our suite during cocktail hour always made sure we had a drink and that there was always good. We decided to go with a nontraditional cake and decided to have a cupcake tower. We gave the baker some ideas of what we were looking for and could have been more pleased with the outcome. He did a beautiful job. Not only did it look great, but tasted great too!.And the foodā¦ people are still talking about the selection and amount of food. They couldnāt get over how great everything looked and tasted. There was plenty to eat during cocktail hour alone. By the time dinner came people said they were full. The staff was even kind enough to wrap some peoples food. As there did for us, since I knew weād be hungry when we got home. We got married on June 23, 2018 and couldnāt be happier that we chose The Reception Center not only for our reception, but for our ceremony as well. From the minute we walked in and met with Marybeth we knew this was where we wanted to get married. Even the owner came out to meet us. Marybeth worked well with our vendors to accommodate their needs since we were having the ceremony and reception at the venue. She made the whole wedding planning process easy. Anytime I had a question or concern I called her and she instantly had an answer or solution. She was vet prompt in getting back to me when she needed to. She was always one step ahead of me (which is pretty difficult to do). We loved that we had our own private bridal suite and cocktail hour. We were able to arrive before our guest and relax a bit before our ceremony. When we arrived Marybeth was there to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed. The attendant in our suite during cocktail hour always made sure we had a drink and that there was always good. We decided to go with a nontraditional cake and decided to have a cupcake tower. We gave the baker some ideas of what we were looking for and could have been more pleased with the outcome. He did a beautiful job. Not only did it look great, but tasted great too!.And the foodā¦ people are still talking about the selection and amount of food. They couldnāt get over how great everything looked and tasted. There was plenty to eat during cocktail hour alone. By the time dinner came people said they were full. The staff was even kind enough to wrap some peoples food. As there did for us, since I knew weād be hungry when we got home. We canāt thank Marybeth and the staff at The Reception Center for all they did to allow us to have the wedding of our dreams .We will definitely be recommending The Reception Center to our friends.

Marybeth and her staff at The Reception Center are nothing short of AMAZING. From working with the budget and many emails and phone conversation to make sure our day was perfect. Marybeth and Peg truly made my husband and I feel as if we were the only wedding of the year. They were comforting, honest, knowledgeable and honestly heaven sent during the entire process. Even with all the stresses that come with a wedding I can honestly say that because of Saint Clements I still miss the planning. The day of our wedding I walked in and was floored with how perfect it all was. They went out of their way to decorate each piece and make our wedding exactly what we wanted. Every guest was impressed with the food, staff and especially scenary of our reception. I look forward to booking future events with Saint Clements!

From the very first moment we walked into the reception center, my husband and I knew that's where we wanted to have our wedding. It had everything.. from beautiful brand new carpets, to crystal chandeliers, a beautiful bridal suite, a piano for cocktail hour.. everything. The reception center has the overall look of elegance for your wedding or any other special event. However, what really made our decision was the hardworking, dedicated people we met while planning. The wedding coordinators, Marybeth and Peg, were helpful from beginning to end. Always offering up suggestions and solutions. They were on top of every last detail on the day of our wedding. From purple flowers in the garden to match our bridal party to the wedding timeline flowing beautifully throughout the night. They took all the stress out of planning and eased my mind consistently as the wedding day approached. The chef and owner Brian is absolutely wonderful. With having a lot of allergies, I was worried about finding a place which could accommodate me. But Brian reassured us there would be no cross contamination and everything would be safe, and it was! From cocktail appetizers to the buffet during the reception, everything was delicious. Our favorite was the sliders and shakes station! We highly recommend the reception center for your next event. Marybeth assisted us from start to finish, and made everything easy. She never missed a beat! We attended a tasting and the food was out of this world! I can gladly say that our food was just as delicious the night of the wedding. Our friends and family are still talking about the delicious appetizers and stations from cocktail hour, and the large and tasty portions they were served at dinner. We chose the most basic package and the cake, gorgeous centerpieces, uplighting, and cocktail hour pianist were all included! You truly couldn't ask for a better deal. Everything was decorated beautifully, the bridal suite was pristine and cozy, and our cake was made exactly the way we specified! (Our 3D snowflake cake came out beautifully and was a huge hit!) The Reception Center did not let us down, and all of the employees were attentive, professional, polite, and pleasant. Our guests were looked after with such amazing care! I want to end this by thanking Marybeth, Kerri, and Amanda especially, as they rolled with every punch and kept my husband and I more than comfortable on our big day. I've never met a group of people who were so selfless and caring, they are our guardian angels. They went above and beyond to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. We were taken care of like family, and they didn't rush us through any of our day. They made sure we enjoyed it and truly, sincerely took care of us. Our day wouldn't have been the same without those ladies, we are eternally grateful to them! Our day was uniquely ours, and I wouldn't change a thing. THANK YOU!!!

Let me start off by saying, \"I was on the fence about whether or not we wanted to have a wedding reception or just elope\". But after meeting with Marybeth at The Reception Center at Saint Clement, we knew that we wanted to have a reception and we wanted to have it there. Marybeth & Brian made us feel so comfortable, like you are part of the family! :) The venue is beautiful!! The food is AWESOME! My wedding was on November 4, 2017 and I am still getting phone calls from people raving about how good the food and service was. The selection of food that you get to pick from is unbelievable, and the quality of the food is top notch. We also, had our ceremony there and it was beautiful. The way they are able to transform the room from Ceremony to Reception was flawless. Marybeth worked one on one with me and my husband through the entire planning, and it is because of her that everything was PERFECT! I cannot say enough good things about Brian and Marybeth! Also, the price is right! No other venue that we looked at could come close to the price for everything that you get with your package at The Reception Center at Saint Clement. I hope that I get to host another function here in the future.

Right after our first visit, we scheduled a tasting for the following week. Even that was far beyond our expectations--and we left stuffed! We got to (more than) sample a ton of amazingly delicious menu items and this was extremely helpful in selecting our wedding day menu. The head chef, Brian, came out to introduce himself and made sure everything came out perfect--which it definitely did! Any customizations or accommodations we asked about, were easily provided to us. With all that goes into planning a wedding, knowing we had a venue that took care of things like the centerpieces, wedding cake and amazing decor, was more than we could have asked for. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was, from cocktail hour all the way through, to the cake and our DELECTABLE fresh out of the oven cookie station with milkshake shooters! I found Saint Clements online and it was the first venue we visited. I knew as soon as we left our first appointment that this was going to be the place we would have our reception. My husband and I paid for most of the wedding ourselves so we were worried about the expense. Well, we didn't need to worry about that! The prices were definitely the best I have ever seen and the quality of the food and service, you would think we had spent a fortune. As for the staff, Marybeth is so wonderful, responsive and just so easy to work with. She made everything leading up to the big day so smooth and stress free and everything turned out exactly how I wanted. My relatives are still talking about how amazing the food was and how beautiful the hall was (for real though, those skylights!). Our maitre d, Amanda was incredible, my husband and I did not need to get one single thing for ourselves. We truly felt like royalty! I got married September 2017 at the reception center, I could not have asked for a better experience. Marybeth was such a huge help, every question was answered thoroughly and quickly. The big day was so easy thanks to all of the staff. The decorations are gorgeous. The food is amazing! Itās everhthing you could ask for made simple and easy. I loved having my reception and ceremony in the same space, the ceremony set up is Beautiful and perfectly set up to feel like a completely different space, also super convenient for myself and my guests. My husband and I had our wedding at the Reception Center at Saint Clement and it was absolutely amazing! We could not have found a better place! Marybeth was fantastic and was such a huge help along the entire process. Our Maitre'd Hazel was so extra helpful the whole night of our wedding! Definitely going to book this venue for any of our future events and would recommend to anyone. Superb service!

The level of care and pride that is put into the business was evident from the beginning. It didnāt feel like we were just another wedding they were trying to turn around like the other bigger, more expensive places. I brought my husband to the tasting and he of course was hooked immediately. Each time we were there, we had their undivided attention being sure to make it feel like we were the only wedding. The Reception Center was overly accommodating and willing and ready to do whatever was needed to make it the wedding of our dreams. The wedding itself was flawless! Everything from the ceremony to the reception went so smoothly, I didnāt have to worry about a thing. The cocktail hour with the lighting and the pianist was so romantic. As for the food. Oh my gosh! I still have guests telling me how good the food was. Again it goes back to the care they put into everything they do at The Reception Center. We couldnāt have asked for anything more. Marybeth was absolutely amazing and saw us through the entire process from day one. It was an absolute pleasure working with her! If you are planning your wedding, do yourself a favor and tour The Reception Center you will not be disappointed.

In addition to having great prices and everything on campus, the staff was incredible! Marybeth was attentive to every detail, and we never felt like we were just another wedding they were having. We felt like their only guests whenever we were there. The food was incredible, and I would love to go back for another tasting - because its that delicious. The portions are as generous as they are delicious.They asked how they could make our reception special and personalized, and attended to those details. For example, I was hoping for espresso, and they made sure I had it. We didn't have to ask for anything, because the staff was on top of everything. Its hard to even recall seeing them because they blended in so well. My husband said they were \"stealthily attentive.\" We never felt like they were in the way.Perhaps one of the nicest touches is the bridal party suite. It was great being able to have a space for ourselves to relax before partying the night away, complete with all the dishes being served during the cocktail hour. It was nice being able to sit back and put our feet up and enjoy being together. Another plus, it has its own bathroom.Our wedding was beautiful, a day we will always remember, and the Reception Center at St. Clements played a major role in making our memories. First of all, let me just say that The Reception Center at St. Clement is AMAZING!!!!! The BEST choice we did for our wedding. We are EXTREMELY happy and grateful of everything that the staff did for us to make our wedding so BEAUTIFUL and SPECIAL!!!! My husband and I got married on July 1, 2017 and we planned our wedding for a year and a half. We visited 13 wedding venues and NOTHING compared to The Reception Center. This was the 3rd venue I visited and every other venue I went to I kept comparing it to The Reception Center. I could not stop talking about it! My husband could not wait to see the venue in person already at this point. This venue is also SO AFFORDABLE!!! We both went one more time and I fell more in LOVEEEE! We also went to a food tasting with our parents and the food was AMAZINGGGGG!!!!!! All my guests were bragging about the food and how good it was. A lot of them also told me that they were full already at the cocktail hour because they serve so much food. Also, there was a piano playing during the cocktail hour for my guests which caught my eye from the first time I saw it. There was an ice sculpture placed at the cocktail hour!!!! I mean if this does not make you want to book with The Reception Center I don't know what will. Even now our guests still talk about how good the food was and how beautiful the place is. The staff is so friendly and treated my guests and us like royalty. MARYBETH!!!!! Our wedding coordinator!!! I don't know what I would've done without her. The most sweetest person you will ever meet. She was always making sure the wedding planning was a smooth experience. Literally every time I went to meet with Marybeth she took all my wedding planning stress away in a minute! I felt better every visit! Marybeth, if you are reading this THANK YOU SO MUCH for all you did for us and for making our wedding vision become reality and for going ABOVE AND BEYOND with everything. Kerri, our maĆ®tre dā, was amazing and took great care of us the entire night of the wedding. She made sure we were comfortable, having fun, our glasses were always full, and that we ate. We were blown away by entire experience with the Reception Center! We were going to hire a caterer and have our reception at our local firehouse, but I decided to go to the open house/tasting that they were hosting. I was amazed by the food, and was thrilled to find out all that was included in even their most basic package: champagne toast, custom cake, ice sculpture, cocktail hour pianist, neutral centerpeices, 5 hour open bar, sit down dinner with table side ordering, wait staff (tips were included in the price), personal waiter for the bride and groom, uplighting, and more. They also have a private picture garden right outside the venue which was absolutely gorgeous. The hall is beautiful. My only complaint when I went to see the place was that the carpet was showing its age, but that was replaced a week before the wedding!Marybeth and Peg helped us plan out all the details, and were kind and accommodating. Booking with the reception center ensured that we had a lovely, stress-free time planning our wedding and an absolutely magical wedding day. I would enthusiastically recommend this venue.

I had my wedding at The Reception Center on 5/20/2017 and it was perfect! Marybeth was in communication with me throughout all of my planning and made sure I had everything I wanted and needed- she did a fantastic job! The day of, the staff was extremely attentive and my husband and I were treated like royalty; we had drinks before we needed a refill, food passed to us first as we were walked around cocktail hour speaking to our guests, and they continually asked us if we needed anything. The staff were also super friendly and never without a smile. The most important aspect to us was that our guests had a great time and they did! Everyone raved about the delicious food, desserts, and beautiful ballroom! My husband and I were extremly impressed by the level of service we received. At the end of the night when I went to retrieve our stuff I was so relieved and grateful -the staff had all of our belongings packed up for us. In addition to having the top of our cake packed they also packed some extra food and desserts packed for us so we could enjoy our food again the next day. I really can't express enough how wonderful our experience was at St. Clements Reception Center- I highly recommend this venue and the staff. The Reception Center is AMAZING!! We attended my sisterās wedding last year and it was so much fun and she raved about how awesome and accommodating everyone was there so we decided to give it a shot. Once we contacted Marybeth we knew we were going to put the deposit down that night and sure enough we were all set just like that. With working a fulltime job & 3 kids at home the thought of planning a wedding was making me nervous, but because of Marybeth I was able to get through it just about stress free! We attended the food tasting with our parents and once again were blown away by everything they had to offer! Marybeth even made a recommendation that we try the empanadas and of course we did and they were added to our cocktail hour- they were delicious! All the staff at The Reception Center made sure our wedding night just PERFECT! The place is just beautiful- from all the planning help, the beautiful bridal suite, the centerpieces, to cleaning the āGarden Areaā from all the snow for pictures! From the Ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception everything went so smooth without any questions or delays it sure was just a magical day. We were married 3/17/17 and were even able to tie St. Pattyās day into it by changing the lighting and coordinating the linens. The food was amazing our guests are still talking about it! From the moment we walked into the doors of the Reception Center we were impressed. We just came from looking at three other halls that were more expensive, not as big, and did not have what we were looking for at all in a hall. All the other places we looked at the people we met with all seemed so uptight, and snobby, but the staff at the Reception Center made you feel welcomed and were so down to earth, but yet so professional at all times. Just to list a few of the many, many amenities -Huge Hall-Spacious Bridal Suite ā of which food was also served in so we didnāt miss out on our cocktail hour-Private bathroom off of Bridal Suite-Garden Area for photos-Piano player during cocktail hour-Gorgeous center pieces-Ice Sculpture-Cake made onsite -Huge Variety of menu options-Bird Cage-Gift table-Option of having two bars-Only one wedding/event is taken place at a time-The uplighting helped create a nice ambiance but yea this are just a few of the many amenities the Reception Center has to offerWe had the ceremony there as well and the way it was set up was so beautifully done ā amazing to see it set up that way and then their ability to then set it up for the reception was truly flawless. Mary Beth was very kind and beyond helpful - as was the entire staff. They were able to accommodate us with special requests and even helped my Mother and Father In Law surprise us with a specially designed Ice Sculpture. Even the owner and chef personally spoke with us and came up with special accommodations for our menu due to our diverse heritage (Irish/Italian Wife, Puerto Rican/German Husband) Even with all those accommodations we did not feel like they were trying to ānickle and dime usā in fact we really did not feel any pressure at all. From the moment we walked into the doors of the Reception Center we were impressed. We just came from looking at three other halls that were more expensive, not as big, and did not have what we were looking for at all in a hall. All the other places we looked at the people we met with all seemed so uptight, and snobby, but the staff at the Reception Center made you feel welcomed and were so down to earth, but yet so professional at all times. Just to list a few of the many, many amenities -Huge Hall-Spacious Bridal Suite ā of which food was also served in so we didnāt miss out on our cocktail hour-Private bathroom off of Bridal Suite-Garden Area for photos-Piano player during cocktail hour-Gorgeous center pieces-Ice Sculpture-Cake made onsite -Huge Variety of menu options-Bird Cage-Gift table-Option of having two bars-Only one wedding/event is taken place at a time-The uplighting helped create a nice ambiance but yea this are just a few of the many amenities the Reception Center has to offerWe had the ceremony there as well and the way it was set up was so beautifully done ā amazing to see it set up that way and then their ability to then set it up for the reception was truly flawless. Mary Beth was very kind and beyond helpful - as was the entire staff. They were able to accommodate us with special requests and even helped my Mother and Father In Law surprise us with a specially designed Ice Sculpture. Even the owner and chef personally spoke with us and came up with special accommodations for our menu due to our diverse heritage (Irish/Italian Wife, Puerto Rican/German Husband) Even with all those accommodations we did not feel like they were trying to ānickle and dime usā in fact we really did not feel any pressure at all. We just had our wedding at The Reception Center on 1/14/17 and it was the most amazing night of our lives!! We fell in love with the place after our first tour, even more so once we found out how affordable it was! We started working with MaryBeth as our coordinator and she couldn't have been sweeter, more attentive and helpful! We went to one of the complimentary tastings with our parents and were blown away by how good all of the food was. We were also blown away by how friendly everyone is, from the ownership (family owned) to the servers and bartenders. Everyone was raving to us on the night of about how amazing both the cocktail hour and reception meals were.After we had originally booked, we found out that we were going to be having a baby! MaryBeth and the rest of the staff worked with us to change the dates around and never made us feel like we were putting them out or inconveniencing them, which was huge to us. They also worked with us to set up a gender reveal cake cutting, which was the single most amazing moment of our lives!! We would also like to give a big thank you to Cindy, our maitre d, who checked up on us countless times throughout the night to make sure that we were happy and had everything that we needed.This is a gorgeous, conveniently located venue and we really can't recommend it enough!! I don't even know where to start ! The staff here is AMAZING! They took my vision and created a wedding more beautiful than I could ever imagine! We had some pretty rowdy groomsmen and, the staff handled it very well! They were SO attentive to our needs and the needs of all of our guests! I have received so many phone calls from family members and friends saying that it was the most beautiful and well organized wedding they have ever attended! I wish I could take all of the credit for that but, I just supplied the materials and the ideas! The night ran so smoothly! I would recommend using the reception center at St. Clement to ANY of my friends that are getting married!

During the tasting the head chef came out and discussed with my then fiance now husband about a Cuban food station during the cocktail Hour. It was a huge hit, everyone loved it. However, we couldn't have done it without the amazing staff at the Reception Center! They made sure every detail was perfect! We had such an amazing and memorable time there. The food is out of this world, and we had people tell us that this was the first wedding they been to where the cake tasted just as good as it looked! Everything was perfect! I just had my wedding last month and I do not know where to begin with all the great things I can say about this hidden gem! From the beginning when my fiancƩ and I booked our wedding we felt so comfortable. It is a family owned business and they make you feel like you are part of the fam. The planning process was seamless and all the details I gave to Marybeth were executed perfectly. Do not let Marybeth deceive you! She has been working at the venue for so long she knows everything about the place. She is also a pleasure to work With.The food at the wedding was out of this world. As other brides mentioned in other reviews my guests also said it was the best food they ever had at the wedding. You can tell there are no corners cut and the quality is superb. Of course it helps that the owner is also the executive chef so he oversees everything leaving the kitchen. You will not find that at any other venue. My wedding cake which they make there was beautiful and also tasted great. We felt like a queen and king the night of the wedding from the great service we received. I would highly recommend The Reception Center to any bride looking to get great value at a reasonable price.

I'm so glad I decided to have my wedding here. We did the all inclusive package which really took the stress out of having to find a DJ, photographer, florist and stationary. The prices are amazing so we were able to upgrade some things. Joanne and Peg were wonderful to work with. Everything turned out so beautiful from the flowers to the cake to all of the decorations for the ceremony and reception. The food is also amazing. Our guests raved about the food and the atmosphere. Great job to all involved! Thank you so much for helping to make our day so special and memorable!!

My husband and I had no idea what we wanted in a wedding when we first started meeting with the team at The Reception Center. Soon after talking to the very friendly and helpful staff, we decided we could actually afford to have the wedding of our dreams on top of the wedding of our dreams. We decided to get married at Allamuchy Mountain State Park in Stanhope, NJ at the peak of our favorite outdoor rock climbing spot with the most magnificent view. Since our parents could not be present for this ceremony (due to the lengthy hike to the mountain peak), the team at The Reception Center worked with us to set up another ceremony outside in the garden that our families could attend. We had a very small outdoor ceremony which led straight into a beautiful cocktail hour and the most wonderful reception I could have ever asked for! The team at The Reception Center made it so incredibly easy and stress free to plan and even attend my wedding! Each event transitioned into the next flawlessly! \rThe Reception Center holds bridal shows every now and then (which I suggest attending) to taste the INCREDIBLE food and to see the space and vendors they work with! The Reception Center provided my second ceremony venue, my cocktail hour/reception venue, my flower vendor (Petals By Peg), the catering, the cake, the bar stock & service, the tables & chairs, table cloths, & decor (including center pieces), and the card holding bird cage. The service from start to finish was absolutely unbeatable, especially for the price! Of all the people I talked to who attended my wedding, every person said it was the most fun they've had at a wedding (beyond my expectations, by far)! It's really an unbeatable deal at the end of the day and I feel absolutely blessed to have tied the knot in their beautiful garden!
