We couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue for our wedding this past August. Our guests are still gushing over how beautiful the venue was and how amazing Verterra staff was. The grounds of Verterra are beautiful - from the garden, to the vineyard, to the lawn, to the water view to the ceremony site. Everything is cared for and maintained exceptionally well. Words can't descirbe how awesome Verterra staff is. Julia, the venue coordinator, was the BEST, answered all my questions, helped with other vendors, put layouts in place, and thought of everything to make our day go smooth. Thank you, Verterra, for making our wedding day perfect.

Everything about The Ridge was PERFECT! They had great communication and helped with every step in the process. As an out of town Bride they were still able to make everything as easy as possible. The wine and cider they make is delicious, as an added bonus. And then lets talk about the view from their location, it is to die for! All of their staff is so kind and easy to work with and will do anything you need. They provided a preferred vendors list for all other vendors, which I used for everything, because I knew I could trust their opinion. The owner of the Vineyard was also very involved which made everything run as smoothly as possible. If only I could relive the day over and over again! Can't wait to go back and visit!

The Ridge at Verterra was the perfect venue for our wedding ceremony! The vineyard is beautiful and the views of Lake Michigan with rolling hills make the most gorgeous backdrop for a wedding. It's only an added bonus that their wines are the best in Michigan (and possibly the world)! Amanda helped to coordinate our event and was on-site all day for our ceremony and reception. Her communication leading up to the event and on our special day was top-notch. She answered all of our questions and concerns with care. The weather for our ceremony was not ideal, but Amanda and The Ridge were ready to execute backup plans at a moment's notice. We ended up with a break in the weather and had a beautiful ceremony, exactly as planned. We would recommend The Ridge at Verterra to anyone for their wedding or special event!

I cannot speak highly enough of this venue and the staff at Verterra Vineyards. If I could get married here every day I would. The view absolutely breathtaking, leaving little to be done in way of decor as it is already perfect. The bridal suite, restrooms and caterer facilities are very nice and climate controlled which was perfect for anticipating changing weather. Kim and her team were fabulous! They were great at responding quickly to any and all of our questions, and were incredibly helpful during the planning and day of celebration.

There are no words to describe how beautiful our day was with friends & family at The Ridge at Verterra. The event manager, Kim, was super helpful & made the day run smoothly, as well as the rest of the staff. Peak colors, beautiful weather, heaters in the tent for reception to keep guests warm, scenic view, delicious wines & ciders....OH & not to forget the bridal suite, one of my favorite parts of the venue! Would highly recommend to any couple looking to be married somewhere with breathtaking & unique views!

My husband and I were married here on 10/10/2020 and it was absolutely fabulous. Kim was so amazing to work with, making sure every detail was just right. The venue was so beautiful and it was during peak color change which was breathtaking. All of my guests raved about how beautiful the venue was. We thought that having just a tent in the middle of October would be a little risky but even with the cooler windy weather the tent was heated and super cozy. The bathrooms and bridal suite are both indoors and are very nice. Would absolutely recommend. The wine is fabulous and everything was all around perfect!

If you picture the prefect Northern Michigan wedding, the Ridge at Verterra is that venue with views of Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay. We got married at The Ridge in June 2019. Our ceremony was set perfectly with Grand Traverse Bay as the backdrop. The venue is a dream landscape to create any special day. There is a ton of space to utilize for the ceremony, reception, cocktail hour activities, pictures, etc. We took advantage of the woodsy backdrop for our family pictures and they couldn’t have turned out better! We also used the large lawn for lawn games which our guests used during cocktail hours and during the reception. Everyone loved it!The venue has a beautiful bridal suite which is in a newly built barn next to the reception and ceremony site. The finishes within the suite are modernly elegant and spacious with two vanities, couch, chairs, and a large full length mirror. Our entire bridal party, mothers, and flower girls were able to utilize this space to get ready. Within this same building, there are nice indoor restroom facilitates for the guests to use during the wedding. There is also a catering kitchen for your caterer to utilize for the event.The tent that is provided by Verterra was a perfect area for the formalized reception! In June, on our wedding day, it was chilly and the sides of the tent were great to hold in heat and no one was cold. One of the biggest reasons we chose this site too was for the wines made by Verterra - they are amazing!! We fell in love the first time tasting the wine. From dry reds to smooth whites to sweet roses, they have a variety of elegant wines for any palate. We have even joined the wine club and enjoy getting our shipment of wine several times a year! During the wedding, we picked a variety of wines for our guests. Everyone only had great things to say about the wine selection and we definitely went through a lot of bottles! We also appreciated that Verterra allowed us to have beer provided by Right Brain Brewery for the non-wine drinkers. But trust us, even the beer-drinkers loved the Verterra wines. We can’t say enough good things about Kim, Verterra wedding coordinator. She was extremely helpful through the whole process. We were planning the wedding from Chicago and Kim was also able to hop on the phone while also being very quick to respond to email questions. Kim was available the week leading up to the wedding and also served as our day of coordinator. She was a comforting face to have by our side on the day of! Thank you, Kim!!The Ridge at Verterra was everything we could have dreamed of for our wedding day – it is a stunningly beautiful site with professional yet personal staff that ensured that the day went off without a hitch!

Beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding! We lucked out with the weather and had a perfect wedding at Verterra. They have a stunning view, good wine, a great clear tent that allows guests to take in the gorgeous view during dinner and updated bathrooms (which most vineyards don’t have). Kim & her team worked well with our wedding planner to pull off an amazing event!

My husband and I were married here May 2017. We chose this venue because we LOVE Verterra wines and had previously attended a wonderful event at the Ridge. We were immediately sold because of the views. We toured many other vineyards in the area but this was the most picturesque. The venue and variety of nearby scenery made for awesome pictures. The staff were great, and very helpful down to the last detail. We had a yummy custom mixed drink that Lindy helped us with. Although there was inclement weather for part of our day I still would have chosen this outdoor venue over any other - it was handled well and having everything on one site was great for our guests. You have to see the views and taste the wine and you'll understand why the best grapes and marriages are grown at Verterra Vineyard :-)
