A modern event venue with dramatic classical design elements and palatial indoor & outdoor spaces—all in a secluded setting on the quiet shores of the Farmington River. Since the building opened in 2008, our unique blend of personalized service, architectural grandeur and sophisticated style has attracted guests from across Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts. Today, our mission remains the same: to be the event venue by which others are measured. Hiring the Riverview in Simsbury, CT was the BEST decision we made in preparation for our big day! Kayla, our wedding coordinator, was communicative and was sure to answer any question that arose. We were given great recommendations for other vendors as well. Then, on the night of the event, the staff handled everything with such professionalism and expertise! Everyone at the Riverview was courteous, attentive, and reliable! They asked us if we needed anything, packed up food, kept our gifts safe, and made sure that we were happy! We truly felt that we were in the best of hands. The Riverview provides the ultimate wedding experience and we would highly recommend this venue!

From the first time we walked into the Riverview, it was THE place where everything went right. The months of planning leading up to our wedding, when we had meetings or emails with Kayla and Meghan at the Riverview, it was always pleasant and easy - they were wonderful to work with. Even though the precedent of high quality and extremely pleasant interactions was set, I couldn't have predicted that it could get better. Kayla and Meghan led the way and our personal bridal attendants, Damani and Stephon were like mindreaders, on top of every possible need or want we had and there to provide for us before we even knew what we needed. Everything from hot tea on a cold day to sewing my maid of honor into her dress because of a stuck zipper. Aside from the venue being absolutely beautiful, the food being amazing and delicious and and the price actually being much better than I thought it would be for a wedding of 125, the staff were amazing and went above and beyond for us in every possible way. You will be SO happy you chose this place. I would do it again a million times with them in our corner!

The Riverview was amazing! My husband and I had our wedding there on 10/21/23 and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. Our coordinator Kayla was super helpful with answering any questions that we had and always got back to us in a timely manner. The day of our wedding, Kayla and our assistant coordinator Meghan ensured everything went smoothly. Our two bridal attendants, Stephon and Mackenzie, were wonderful!!! They were both so kind and always made sure my husband and I had something to drink or to eat. Special shoutout to Mackenzie for carrying the train of my dress in the pouring rain and for making it look easy to bustle my dress! All of the Riverview staff did a fantastic job with setting up our decorations for all of the dining tables, the memory table, guest book table, and place card table. Everything was packed up for us at the end of the night and it was really nice to be able to just put everything in our car afterwards. The food at the Riverview was absolutely delicious!!! From the hors d'oeuvres to the 3 course lunch to the dessert, everything tasted so good! We also got the add-on Viennese table for dessert, which all of our guests loved. The Riverview was incredibly accommodating towards food allergies that our guests had and put out labels at the Viennese table of any potential allergens in the desserts. It was a perfect day and we cannot thank the Riverview enough for making it possible!

The Riverview was great to work with. Leading up to the wedding (06/04/2023) we had no problems contacting our coordinator Adam and he was able to answer any questions we had. The rehearsal ended up on a Thursday night for our Sunday wedding, but we were able to drop off most of the decor items and go over the ceremony plans. We had DIYed centerpieces and ceremony decor and they were able to put it all out for us day of (pre-assembled) and helped put everything in our car the night of the wedding. We also had 2 bridal assistants that checked on us throughout the night, making sure we had food and drinks and helping bustle my dress and get tissues when I cried happy tears. Overall, the venue was beautiful, and we were glad we could have the ceremony outside but protect our guests from too much sun, or any possible rain. Other venues having poor back up plans for rain is a big reason we did not select some of the others we looked at. The Riverview helped to make sure things when exactly how we wanted through the night, and we were happy with how everything turned out.

The staff was very experienced and attentive to details, often prompting us to think about things we hadn’t before. Kayla was our coordinator and very on top of things. The food was great, and a beautiful location for pictures. With the tent outside weather was never a concern for us, and the day turned out wonderful! Having our wedding at The Riverview was fantastic! We are so glad we chose them to host our big day! The staff was very experienced and attentive to details, often prompting us to think about things we hadn’t before. Kayla was our coordinator and very on top of things. The food was great, and a beautiful location for pictures. With the tent outside weather was never a concern for us, and the day turned out wonderful! The moment we visited The Riverview we knew it was perfect for our wedding. All inclusive, outdoor ceremony space (with coverage in case of rain), beautiful landscape with Farmington River backdrop, easy parking situation with separate entrance to ceremony space that avoids stairs if needed. They really thought of it all here. The ballroom is gorgeous, huge chandeliers and windows with uplighting. It’s a dream! The food is amazing!! (And I’m not just saying that, our guests were so impressed). Our bartenders were friendly and fast!! Our guests said they never had to wait in line. The bridal suite is the perfect getaway and was kept up with champagne, water and food! Kayla was our coordinator and she checked in on us throughout the whole day and during the whole process. She handled any small hiccups we had with urgency and ease. If you’re looking for a venue that will ensure you’re in good hands, this is it!! Thank you!

100000/10 stars!! My husband and I had our wedding here on 8/20/23 and it was an incredible, magical day. The ceremony and reception spaces are so beautiful, which is what drew us here in the first place. Guests were very happy with the food, desserts, drinks etc. We’re still getting compliments from family and friends on how great the wedding was! Kayla was our event coordinator, she is so sweet and helpful, did an amazing job running the event and making sure things went smoothly, we can’t thank her enough. Also, Stefan (hope I’m spelling that right!) was my bridal attendant, he was so great, kept me calm when I was getting nervous, brought drinks to me and hubs throughout the night, he is definitely the kind of person you want helping you out! We were so impressed with everything that Riverview did for us, the staff are amazing, they help you take care of so many things…book your wedding here, you’ll be so happy you did!!

The ceremony and reception spaces are so beautiful, which is what drew us here in the first place. Guests were very happy with the food, desserts, drinks etc. We’re still getting compliments from family and friends on how great the wedding was! There’s simply not enough words to express how amazing the Riverview truly is, Adam helped us every step of the way they support you in everything to truly make your day perfect. SO many family members expressed to me that this was the best wedding food they have ever had at a wedding and the nicest venue they have ever seen. It was truly perfect, they are there to support you all day in anything you need they kept everything running smoothly and perfectly, our bridal attendants were amazing, the cake was phenomenal we even got our cookie favors done by the Riverview and I had several people reach out and ask where we got the cookies because they wanted more! It was just everything I ever dreamed for my wedding and it’s thanks in large part to the Riverview and all the fantastic people who work there.

Our wedding at The Riverview was an absolute dream! We simply could not have asked for a more perfect venue or location for our wedding reception. Riverview was the first venue we toured, and we had a remarkable experience meeting with Maureen and discussing the wedding of our dreams. We left there with two other local venues to tour, and made our way back to Riverview. The other venues simply could not compare or compete with what Riverview had to offer and the beautiful venue! We knew instantly that we were in good hands.Our wedding-coordinator, Kayla, was simply amazing. She was so attentive to detail and very responsive. She is so personable and friendly, and made it a true pleasure and joy to plan our wedding details with her. She made it such a seamless and smooth process, and everything happened so perfectly the day of our reception thanks to Kayla and the bridal team. Our two bridal attendants were very sweet and friendly, and always made sure that we had a drink in our hands and ate every food item that was served. The food was top notch and simply exceptional. We loved how our bridal attendants and Kayla stopped us at every point in the night when a new meal was served to ensure that we sat down and ate. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have eaten the entire evening as we were having so much fun. Our guests raved, and continue to rave, about how exceptional the food was. Our review could go on and on describing simply how amazing, wonderful and incredible the entire team is at Riverview, and the top notch venue for a dream of a wedding. We couldn't be happier with our choice. Every detail and aspect that Riverview had to offer exceeded our expectations, which resulted in the wedding of our dreams and a perfect wedding day. Above and beyond. There’s so much to say and I can’t tell it all. We planned our wedding in 3 months! First, was our site tour. Being an hour away with a tight schedule Meghan accommodated us and stayed late just so we could do the site tour. Meghan was such a delight, full of energy and enthusiasm that I wanted to work there. The space was gorgeous. We loved the huge windows and high ceilings. It was so elegant we didn’t have to decorate. The ceremony space was ideal with a beautiful tent. The bar and outside bistro setting was icing on the cake. We booked the following week. Then we got a letter and email from Adam introducing himself and scheduled our menu meeting (which was a week after the tasting event). When we got to the tasting event, we were not on the list. But Maureen and the staff barely batted an eye and escorted us to a table and away we went. The food was incredibly delicious. We don’t go out to dinner often because I cook and cook well. The appetizers and main dishes were amazing. I still think about the mashed potatoes with the filet mignon. The staff was on top of everything and it was the tasting! We left with our cupcakes and frosting/fillings to try at home. To my dismay there was no red velvet cupcake which is what I knew was going to be our cake. We tried the others. I emailed Adam and explained what happened. He talked with their pastry chef. When we showed up for our meeting a week later, there were two red velvet cupcakes on the desk made especially for us that day! They were so fluffy and delicious. I even gave feedback on the cream cheese filling and on the day of, the filling was exactly what I wanted. My bridesmaid still raves about the cake, she had two slices. Throughout the planning Adam was patient and always responsive. I emailed him a lot. The day of our drop off we were 5 hours late. I was a mess. I called ahead to let them know. They were so supportive and encouraging. When we finally arrived, at the beginning of another event, they were so accommodating and we went through everything for the next day. While doing so, Adam popped in to see us and make sure we were ok and assured us everything was going to work out and be great.The day of was just perfect. We had 167 people. We got so many compliments about the beauty of the venue inside and out, the food, the bar, the staff. My FIL was amazed with Adam, who seemed to have cloned himself because he was just everywhere. Our attendants Sarah and Will were wonderful. The staff even rearranged our picture frame favors/escort cards at my request as I stood waiting to walk out to the ceremony. Adam and the team at The Riverview took care of everything, we could not have asked for anything more.

We were married at the Riverview at the end of March. I looked at 15 venues (a lot I know) and Riverview was number 15. From the moment I stepped in , every person in the team made me feel like I was just as important as every bride that walked in. Working with Maureen and Adam was fantastic. They weren't pushy and offered so much in their packages, it was really decided before I ever left my first meeting. We were married at the Riverview at the end of March. I looked at 15 venues (a lot I know) and Riverview was number 15. From the moment I stepped in , every person in the team made me feel like I was just as important as every bride that walked in. Working with Maureen and Adam was fantastic. They weren't pushy and offered so much in their packages, it was really decided before I ever left my first meeting. My husband Carlos & I enjoyed the wedding of our dreams back on December 3rd, 2022. Between the wedding, honeymoon, holidays, catching Covid— the last month has been extremely busy and a HUGE thanks is owned to Maureen, Chelsea, Kayla and their entire team. Maureen was amazing to work from the beginning. She actually gave us two complete tours of the venue because once we went to visit with a friend and then wanted to show my parents before we made a venue commitment. Her patience was amazing and it was very clear in her sense of being that she enjoys what she does. Talking to and visiting other venues I felt like there was a sense of closing a sale, and this or that was how things are done. It was very different at the Riverview. Maureen made me feel at home and made me feel comfortable with all decision making from the very beginning. With Kayla, our day of coordinator, on her honeymoon a few weeks before our wedding, I also had the opportunity of working with Chelsea. Both women were beyond helpful and always easing any concerns I had. Chelsea kept me calm through so many emails when I had a few guest changes in the final weeks, and always made me feel my day would go perfectly. There are not enough good things I can say about the Riverview. Somehow I missed the entire espresso/cordials service we added onto our package as I danced the night away, chatted with guests and took pictures. Seeing how much fun our guests were having on the dance floor and picking up their Venetian table desserts and espresso in our wedding video, made it very clear a great time was had by all! The food was amazing, not one complaint from guests. My only complaint… I wish the night was longer! It was a very long day from hair/makeup in the wee hours to a church service and finally the reception… but I wish the party could have lasted even longer! I was sad to see the night end but truly had the time of my life and the day of my dreams. I cannot thank the staff at The Riverview enough. There are not enough Thank Yous or words to express how much I loved my wedding day and everything The Riverview did to bring my day to life! Another note, the space and layout at the Riverview was perfect. As we planned through the continued pandemic we wanted our guests to feel like they had enough space, and the entire space was perfect! A final note— in the planning process I learned it was our DJ’s birthday on our wedding. At some point I mentioned I wanted to wish him a happy birthday and possibly have a cupcake for him. I sort of forgot to mention again in the days before the wedding and that night that I wanted to do this. But the staff didn’t forget and a cupcake came out for our DJ and we all sang just after my husband and I cut the cake. It was perfect!! Just an example of how all the details I wanted were brought to life. I can honestly say, from organizing the escort card table to the memorial table and the pile of framed pictures I wanted displayed— the Riverview staff took all of the details I wanted and made them appear even better than I visioned. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I will always highly recommend The Riverview.

The Riverview was the absolute best place to hold our wedding of 130 people. It was beautiful especially at night and service was fantastic. From the first tour until the end of our reception, we felt special. The venue knows how to take care of their couples and their guests. Kayla was our on-site coordinator and she was fantastic!! She was on top of everything never missing a beat and was a lot of fun to work with. Definitely get married here!

She responded to our emails in a timely manner and went above and beyond to make all of our requests a reality. Kayla and her staff handled everything with ease. The food was amazing and the dancefloor was the perfect size to fit all of our wild dancers. Kayla and her staff collaborated so smoothly with the vendors we booked. Everything was taken care of on our day for us (setup, cleanup and all organization). All we really had to do was show up and have fun... and with a venue like the Riverview, that was no problem at all!

We knew from the moment we walked into the Riverview that we wanted to have our wedding there. The place is beautiful and very spacious. The staff is all wonderful and we had a great experience working with them. The only thing we were disappointed with was that we didn’t really get to eat many of the passed hors devours during cocktail hour. Definitely recommend asking ahead of time for them to set aside a plate of all the passed hors devours for you, they were wonderful and if we had asked they definitely would have done it for us!

My husband and I just got married a week ago at The Riverview and can't say enough great things about it! When originally looking into venues, we knew we didn't want a \"Christmas threw up\" kind of feeling - you know, tons of red and green, Christmas party vibes, even though we were getting married ten days before the holiday. The Riverview decorated tastefully outside and in the lobby, but doesn't do anything for the actual parts where you get married and celebrate, which I appreciated so I could decorate it to fit our needs and wants! Our coordinator got changed a couple times throughout the year, but we handled it in stride and put our faith in the fact that we were in good hands - and that was so true! Adam ended up being our coordinator and he was amazing, even though we only dealt with him for a few weeks leading up to the wedding. He made sure everything went smoothly and communicated whatever we needed to his assistant and two bridal attendants, who also accompanied us the entire day. All the details were correct the day of our wedding - from placement of our special tables to the uplighting we chose for dinner and dancing. They even cut nice big pieces of our cake for us to enjoy. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful place to get married and celebrate, anytime of year! We had our ceremony inside and it went seamlessly and was more beautiful than you probably imagine an indoor ceremony is. My husband and I just got married a week ago at The Riverview and can't say enough great things about it! When originally looking into venues, we knew we didn't want a \"Christmas threw up\" kind of feeling - you know, tons of red and green, Christmas party vibes, even though we were getting married ten days before the holiday. The Riverview decorated tastefully outside and in the lobby, but doesn't do anything for the actual parts where you get married and celebrate, which I appreciated so I could decorate it to fit our needs and wants! Our coordinator got changed a couple times throughout the year, but we handled it in stride and put our faith in the fact that we were in good hands - and that was so true! Adam ended up being our coordinator and he was amazing, even though we only dealt with him for a few weeks leading up to the wedding. He made sure everything went smoothly and communicated whatever we needed to his assistant and two bridal attendants, who also accompanied us the entire day. All the details were correct the day of our wedding - from placement of our special tables to the uplighting we chose for dinner and dancing. They even cut nice big pieces of our cake for us to enjoy. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful place to get married and celebrate, anytime of year! We had our ceremony inside and it went seamlessly and was more beautiful than you probably imagine an indoor ceremony is. Every facet of our wedding was beyond perfect and we could not have asked for a better experience. Let me first shout out to our favorite leading lady in the whole wide world....Maureen Huntley. Do yourself a favor and get in touch with Maureen. An explanation is not necessary. The venue is clean and absolutely beautiful. The back drop on the Farmington River is to die for and everyone we worked with was a delight. Necessary mentions to Amy, Essence, Stephanie, our two bridal attendants who made sure we had everything and more leading up to and on November 10, 2019. The pastry chef Becky is FABULOUS and helped us present a cake that was not your typical wedding cake. Thorough still does not cover the staff and their abilities to get things done. This coming from a girl from Long Island who doesn't understand the word easy and asks every question imaginable. Neil and I would contemplate another wedding just so we could visit the A team at The Riverview. Beyond thankful and will have memories to last a lifetime.

THE BEST VENUE IN CT!!!I have to say that the Riverview completely exceeded my expectations! We were planning a huge wedding (210 guests) with a 21 person bridal party and Adam & team did an outstanding job! The entire planning process was as smooth as can be. Adam is so funny and attentive, there was never a doubt the experience on our big day would be any different. I always had a drink, I actually ate and it was the best day of my life. I owe lots of that to Adam! My favorite memory was when we were planning our menu/cake and my dad has been in the restaurant business his whole life and even he was impressed! He allowed us to bring in his famous waffles to add to our sundae bar and it really was the best touch! What an amazing team!

The Riverview was truly a wonderful and magical venue for my late August wedding ceremony and reception. The employees of The Riverview are all extremely hardworking, caring and personable, which made wedding planning easy and fun! She volunteered to personally set up our donut wall during our reception into the heart shape design we wanted which shows how much she cares for her brides and loves her job. She kept me calm through the night and even wrapped one of my bridesmaid’s foot that got cut up when a glass broke on the dance floor – Rachael, I can’t thank you enough for your quick action and kindness that evening!All of the staff during my wedding was truly on point. The bartenders were excellent, serving staff efficient and the bridal suite attendants were genuinely gracious making me feel so special which is all a bride hopes for on their big day. The food was wonderful and the cake was extremely tasty. We are still getting compliments from guests saying it was one of the nicest weddings they had ever been to and nothing went wrong. It was honestly the best day of our lives and we have Rachael, Maureen and everyone at The Riverview to thank for the happy memories that we will cherish forever.

My wife and I chose The Riverview after visiting 15+ venues in the Connecticut area. We were very taken back by the appearance of the venue and the grounds surrounding it and found it to be a suitable fit for our Gatsby themed wedding. After hearing a few concerns from friends about the food quality at the Riverview from past weddings that they had attended, we decided that it was a good idea to attend the showcase events and even arranged for a personal tasting on a separate date. The food at all three showcase events and the personal tasting was wonderful. We felt confident that we had nothing to worry about at that point and that we would achieve our goal of providing our guests with great food. Food and music for our guests were our top priorities. Out of the 150ish guests we had, 108 chose the Filet Mignon. We relayed this total to our coordinator with the instructions to cook them all medium. On the day of our wedding, my wife and I were both given VERY well-done and DRY steaks that we chose not to finish. Caught up in all that was going on on our big day, we assumed it was just ours and paid no mind to it. In the weeks following our wedding, upon talking to friends and family we soon learned how truly bad the steak situation was. Not only were our steaks well-done and dry, but many of our guests were as well. Several people finally hesitantly revealed that they sent the steaks back multiple times, only to receive more of the same. It seems like the only guests who truly enjoyed their meals were those who ordered the halibut and the chicken piccata. We were very disappointed that a venue that has been in business for over 10 years now seemingly does not know how to provide the most popular dish for a wedding. Had we not heard the previous warnings, we would have thought it was just a fluke. Aside from the food, our coordinator and bridal assistants whom we were told would be our \"shadows\" throughout day, were for the most part absent. Perhaps hiding in the shadows instead. Because it rained on our wedding day, my wife's dress was drenched at the bottom and when it came time for our first dance and her father/daughter dance, she was slipping all over the dance floor. It was so bad that she and her father had to resort to swaying, after they had been practicing the waltz for months. Our bridal assistants were nowhere to be found with a solution while our coordinator watched from the sidelines pretending everything was alright. Friends and family had to get us drinks. We were not walked around by our coordinator to greet and thank our guests so we had to take it upon ourselves to do so with no clue of our time frame. All in all, our wedding day was amazing and our guests had a blast. Our add-on and late night stations were very good and we were very happy with the huge dance floor.

The Riverview is the PERFECT place to get married. The venue itself has a gorgeous entryway, beautiful bridal suite, breathtaking ballroom, and the most picturesque outdoor pavilion area for a ceremony overlooking the Farmington River. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Manager Maureen made us feel very comfortable from the moment we walked in at our initial meeting and working with Adam Blutt as our assigned wedding planner made every single step of the planning process a breeze, from picking out cake favor and design to sorting out the seating arrangements. Adam and the rest of the staff answered all of our questions to set our minds at ease leading up to the day and helped us troubleshoot for all possible scenarios. We were so appreciative of how Adam and the rest of the staff took all of the decorations that we dropped off for our night (including our homemade centerpieces that required quite a bit of set up at the venue) and transformed the already gorgeous West Room to truly be our space by incorporating all of our decorations into the hallway and room. One awesome perk was that the Riverview hosted a showcase to allow wedding couples to network with vendors and sample the DELICIOUS Riverview food. We met our photographer, DJ, and florist all at the showcase night AND got a discount when we reserved Riverview uplighting (a great decision that added the perfect ambiance to dinner and dancing) for our wedding night. Thank you to all of the staff at the Riverview for a truly beautiful and unforgettable night!

The day of your wedding, the staff ensures that everyone is comfortable and that they have everything they need. The Riverview is affordable, compared to other venues that we looked at. They provide centerpieces that come with the wedding package and they have an array of colors for table linens and napkins to choose from. You will be sure to find the perfect colors to match your color scheme! We had our ceremony and reception here. The outdoor ceremony space is beautiful and they keep a white tent up no matter rain or shine. The cocktail hour and reception space is beautiful as well, with the chandeliers in the reception space and the windows overlooking the river in the back of the venue. There is also a bridal suite for the bride, bridesmaids and family members to get ready or just to relax before and after the ceremony. Nestled right next to the the Farmington River, the outdoor area and patio have beautiful views and were the perfect area for our wedding guests to enjoy cocktail hour. The indoor cocktail hour setup was equally as fantastic. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing and moved quickly. Our appetizers were delicious. I vowed to not eat before our dance and formalities because I did not want to spill on my dress, but one bite of a bacon wrapped scallop and that changed! After cocktail hour we emerged into a beautifully setup venue that took my breath away. It was perfection. The table arrangement and settings were exactly what I envisioned. The food was out of this world! I was able to eat at my wedding, which is rare for some brides, but thankfully I did because my filet was to die for. Maureen and her staff were on top of everything and every time my bustle on my dress fell, Maureen appeared magically behind me with an emergency kit to pin it back up. At the end of the night, the staff packed up everything for our so we didn’t have to lift a finger. The entire night was a dream. I couldn’t have imagined a better wedding venue for the most amazing day of our lives. I can’t thank The Riverview, Maureen and all of the amazing staff enough for making our day perfect and ensuring we had the wedding of our dreams. I would more than recommend The Riverview to any future brides and grooms looking to have a beautiful venue and a carefree night enjoying your wedding without a single worry!

Maureen and her staff were on top of everything and every time my bustle on my dress fell, Maureen appeared magically behind me with an emergency kit to pin it back up. At the end of the night, the staff packed up everything for our so we didn’t have to lift a finger. The entire night was a dream. I couldn’t have imagined a better wedding venue for the most amazing day of our lives. I can’t thank The Riverview, Maureen and all of the amazing staff enough for making our day perfect and ensuring we had the wedding of our dreams. I would more than recommend The Riverview to any future brides and grooms looking to have a beautiful venue and a carefree night enjoying your wedding without a single worry!

My husband and I just got married here on July 12, 2019!! The Riverview was EXCELLENT and made our wedding dreams come true! Our coordinator Rachael Pechie was in constant contact with us, responded to emails quickly and efficiently, and was very kind every time we met. The Riverview staff was very helpful when we stopped in to make payments and always offered the best hospitality with offering coffee, tea, or water. We were able to tour the venue several times including going to two showcases they held to see vendors, the venue, and taste the food!! The day of our wedding went smoothly and couldn't have gone better! All of the decorations were placed correctly and the food was fantastic! Our schedule was a little off pace, but that wasn't any fault of the Riverview. We HIGHLY recommend The Riverview for anyone's wedding. They host a free rehearsal, cake tasting and more! Our favorite part of the Riverview besides all the amazing views everywhere you look, was that almost everything was included in the package. This included food, cake, venue (ceremony and reception), space outside, open bar for 5 hours, rehearsal time, coordinator, wine at each table, champagne, harvest table, easels to use, and more! It was on the expensive side, but with the right timing you can get a good price! LOVE LOVE LOVE.

After a year of stress and planning, we finally got married at the Riverview on June 15th. I always heard that something always goes wrong on your wedding day, but everything went absolutely perfect! The Riverview really knows how to put on a wedding and how to keep things moving. They were great about directing people to where they were supposed to be, and making sure our wedding timeline was followed. Our coordinator was Adam and he was so amazing! He had everything setup just the way I wanted it, and also checked in with me on any final details or preferences. His brother was also a big help and helped bustle my dress (his name escapes me now). I also had two very helpful bridal attendants who got me and my bridal party drinks and food, along with carrying my bouquet and train around for pictures. Sooo many people told me that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to! The venue is gorgeous and the food was amazing! I could not be happier with how everything turned out and it truly was a dream wedding! At the end of the night, all we had to do was grab a few boxes of stuff, they took our cards right out of the locked mailbox and put them in a bag for us, and also provided us with some of our cake boxed up!All in all it was a perfect night and I highly recommend this venue to anybody! Especially the crazy/type A brides like I was!

We cannot say enough about The Riverview – not only did they give us our dream wedding, but every step of the process couldn’t have been easier. First of all, it’s SO great that everything is included – a beautiful outdoor space for the ceremony, the spacious and gorgeous reception hall itself, the food, AND alcohol. Just knowing that all that stuff was taken care of by an experienced team that specializes in event planning made the entire process that much easier. It allowed us to actually enjoy the planning process, which can sometimes turn an exciting event into something pretty stressful.The outdoor space for the ceremony sits right on the Farmington River, and our photographer was able to capture the scope of the whole scene and its picturesque setting (we were on the east side). The food was delicious, especially considering how many people they serve on a regular basis and the size of the operation (we recommend the bacon wrapped scallops, goat cheese medallions, crab cakes, and pepper sirloin crostini). They also throw in some really cool extras on the “chefs table” like fried calamari and steak tips, which was a pleasant surprise after expecting just the normal cheese, crackers, and veggie spread. There’s alcohol all over the place; aside from the open bar, you get bottles of wine on every table, a champagne toast, red and white sangria, and a specialty drink of your choice (we went with Star Wars themed drinks for May the Fourth, and they were happy to oblige). We went with a DJ and florist off their vendor list, who could not have been more professional and perfect. Just a side note – if you’re going to venture beyond their vendor list, we’d suggest that you check to make sure they’re familiar with the Riverview – it really helps that our vendors knew the space so well).Chelsea, our planner, was SO helpful and really put us at ease, even when the unexpected happened. It’s so nice to know that we had an experienced and confident team taking care of all the little stuff you can’t prepare for, and we’re so grateful for their help. Honestly, we can’t imagine a better venue choice than the Riverview, especially in their price range. So many people have been coming up to us in the weeks since the wedding talking about how spectacular the whole event was. Our experience as the bride and groom was such a crazy whirlwind that one of the first things we said to each other the next day was that we hope to be invited to someone ELSE’S wedding at the Riverview, so that we can experience it again as guests!

Booking at the Riverview was by far the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. We were married in July 2018 and spent SO LONG looking for a wedding venue that was right for us. As soon as we walked into The Riverview for our tour with Maureen, we looked at each other and knew this was the place we wanted to get married. The building itself is spectacular, with an amazing, jaw-dropping entrance, beautiful grounds and gorgeous ballrooms with chandeliers that are to die for. The venue could accommodate our large wedding with 250 plus guests and was still within our price range. If the grounds and building weren't enough to sell us, the staff certainly put the icing on the cake. Maureen toured the facility with us and it was her personality that sealed the deal. Her and our Wedding Coordinator, Chelsea, both have such a relaxed attitude that puts you at ease while planning one of the most stressful events of your life, but at the same time they have such an intense attention to detail and are total perfectionists, so you know your plans are safe within their capable hands. Chelsea was so accommodating to all of our needs, and I can't thank her enough for being so amazing throughout our planning process. She answered endless questions, she accommodated our every need for food allergies and always provided solutions for problems that we thought at the time were the end of the world. On the day of our wedding we had two bridal attendants in addition to Chelsea who all made sure we had enough to eat, packed up our gifts into our car at the end of the night and even packed up extra pretzels from our pretzel cart for us to take back to the hotel! I don’t know where to start—The Riverview is simply the best! When we walked in for our initial meeting, we were greeted and catered to! We knew right away we wanted to book! We worked with Chelsea who was so helpful, responsive, patient, and laid back! Chelsea really took the time to get every request and detail down so we didn’t have anything to think about on the big day! When we arrived—OH MY GOD the ballroom was STUNNING! Tour guests were catered too starting the moment they walked in until the second we left! The food was out of this world, we got so many compliments. Our cake was gorgeous and tasted delicious! I really could not be more happy with our choice and HIGHLY recommend The Riverview! (Ps, ask for Chelsea!!)

We held our wedding at the Riverview on June 29, 2018 and it was absolutely amazing! We held our ceremony and reception at the venue. Chelsea Davis from the venue assisted us with all of our wedding planning needs. She answered all of our questions and gave us all the information that we didn't even know we needed in planning our perfect day. The day of went flawlessly at Chelsea's direction. As the bride, I did not worry about anything as she was so on top of every second of the ceremony and reception. We received rave reviews about all of the service, coordination, food and our bartender for the evening, who had people's drink of choice memorized. We are so happy and grateful that we chose the Riverview for our wedding! Thank you to everyone at the Riverview for making it a day of zero stress and amazing memories!

We got married at the Riverview this past June, and they made it a great experience the whole way through. From our first tour to the last dance, they catered to us and our families to make sure it was the perfect day. Maureen put us at ease with all of our questions and Jodie, our event coordinator, made the sometimes crazy task of planning easy. The staff was also very responsive and friendly. We are so happy we chose this beautiful venue, all of our guests enjoyed it!

We had the most perfect wedding reception at the Riverview! The day was flawless and the staff was amazing. The moment we got there we were created by Jodie, our event manager and Erica and Allie, our bridal attendants. Erica make sure I had my drink of choice in my hand and at my seat at all times. The food was excellent and all of my guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I highly recommend this venue!
