The beautifully restored historic ballroom has natural wood floors, antique chandeliers, and 30-foot ceilings with 15-foot windows on three sides for great views. The 6,000 square foot ballroom will accommodate up to 320 people and is the perfect facility for wedding ceremonies and receptions, celebrations, or corporate events. It has almost been 2 weeks since we had our wedding reception at The Room on Main and we cannot stop thinking about how perfect of a night it was. Throughout the entire wedding planning process every person I worked with was professional, organized, and so responsive. They did not miss one detail of our big day. The entire staff from the servers to the bartenders made the night so much fun and were so attentive! On top of that guest could not stop talking about how amazing the food was and that is why CN Catering is the best! If you are wanting to get married in Downtown Dallas you MUST look at The Room on Main! It was truly the best night ever!!

They were great from the very beginning! Excellent communication, always willing to help. Wonderful tasting event when choosing food choices, Excellent food, so many fun choices. Service at the venue was perfect! Staff was so friendly and helpful. The venue was gorgeous. We got so many compliments about the venue, food, service! Would do something with them again in a heartbeat.

The Room on Main was a Beautiful Venue to host the wedding for our daughter and new son-in-law. Such a gorgeous room with soaring ceilings, big tall windows overlooking the downtown Dallas Fair Park area, could actually see the historic Ferris Wheel. The Staff from beginning to end was very accommodating, CN catering, Madison and Andrew, the entire staff from the servers to the bartenders were both so professional and amazing to work with and truly made the evening one we will not forget! The food was outstanding, and we received so many compliments of how delicious everything was from beginning to end, they did not miss a beat! Thank you for a wedding our family will not forget and will always be a special memory.

Just as wonderful the second time around! My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by returning to the gorgeous venue where we got married. A decade later, the venue is still amazing, the food from.CN Catering is still delicious, and the staff is still impeccable! The only real complaint was the requirement to use their specific vendor Le Force for the DJ services. To have such an important celebration and not be able to use the DJ we wanted was a unfortunate. We had to settle for who we liked out of their selection. The DJ was ok, but I really would've preferred the DJ from our wedding. The venue does five the option to use an outside DJ, but you would still be required to pay an amount for DJ services to Le Force... even though no services would be rendered! Insane.

The Room on Main is such a beautiful space. The natural light from all the windows, the hardwood floors, the floor to ceiling drapes, it's absolutely gorgeous. In addition to a beautiful space, the staff is personable and professional, and everyone was extremely helpful. Everything is taken care of from linen, to catering, to place settings and more. Planning the wedding reception for my clients was a seemless process. Madison was especially great to work with. She was extremely helpful and great with communication. I look forward to working with The Room on Main again in the future!

We are FLOORED...truly couldn't imagine a more perfect evening. We can't think of one thing we would change or one thing that went wrong. From the beginning when we booked early in the year, everyone who has communicated or worked on this wedding was THE BEST. We can't thank you, Michael, Madison and Brookie enough. You all made planning, organizing and securing so easy and seamless. As a planner, I already knew I would be working with the best team but you all went above and beyond to ensure we had the more perfect weekend and it didn't go unnoticed. My precious father even said, I'd do it all over again. The amount of compliments we all received on the staff and team, the incredible food and beautiful venue...I mean people are STILL texting and calling us. You all went above and beyond,and we are oh so grateful for you all. I can't tell you the excitement on my face when I say both Juan and Christy that night - I was overwhelmed and felt so spoiled! Those 2 just kick butt and having them both making sure the evening was prefect...my heart was full. My husband has heard yalls names and my raving about you all over and over again over the last few months and this week said...you somehow under sold how amazing everyone was. He's a man of few words and he couldn't say enough compliments to you all. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. You made a wedding planner speechless :) and provided to us the weekend of our dreams. Seriously...the food...holy moly....SO GOOD! Everyone agrees - as usually yall are all just the best. As soon as we walked into the venue for our visit we were blown away by how gorgeous it was! The windows let in so much natural light, the wooden floors are beautiful, and the tall ceilings make the space so inviting. We could not wait to be back for our wedding and it did not disappoint! The ballroom looked INCREDIBLE! The food was delicious, even better than we remembered from our tasting. The staff was amazing, they treated us like royalty the entire night. We chose stations for our dinner and they brought us a plate with a sampling from all of the stations and even a selection from our cocktail hour apps! The staff came to check if we needed a top off on our drinks. Overall, we felt so special and so well care for. The best part was that our guests felt the same way! Everyone keeps raving about how well executed the wedding was and what a great time they had! Thank you to everyone at the Room on Main! I work with Emerald City Bands and our bands have performed at TROM many times. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. Every detail is attended to thoroughly with expert professionalism. They respond very quickly to all communication and I wish we could perform there every weekend!

We absolutely love The Room on Main! It is a stunning venue, has been lovingly updated and was a big hit with our wedding guests. CN Catering was lovely to work with, the food was delish and their staff very professional! The evening went way to quickly and we would do it all again tomorrow!

I had my wedding reception at The Room on Main for my wedding in May 2023 and the space is beautiful! The room is spacious, plenty of room for our guests â 200+ and more couldâve fit in easily. The windows, floors, ceiling, etc. all looked amazing, and required very little additional decoration. The room is on the sixth floor downtown, and the windows create beautiful lighting during sunset and downtown lights when the sun goes down. We had a photobooth for a fun activity during the wedding, which our guests loved. Note that the in-house catering company is CN Catering.

The natural light is amazing and made the space glow at golden hour. The lobby has recently been renovated and feels very luxe.We had our wedding here (both ceremony and reception), and everything was great. There are small rooms for both the bride and groom, and they validated parking for all of our guests - hard to find downtown!The only negative is that they mandate certain vendors - catering, DJ and photo booth. I only knew about the catering before the contract came out, so they could have been a bit more upfront with the others. We ended up happy with all their required vendors, but it definitely drove up the price. Not the most flexible venue in this regard, but we still had a great experience!

We worked with Brooke and she answered all our questions in a timely manner. We would recommend this venue to anyone that wants a stress free wedding day!

This space is gorgeous with huge windows and hardwood floors that are seriously amazing. Everyone loved the space. Rating 4 stars b/c I really did love it. However, there were a few frustrating things that occurred. 1) I sat down with the coordinator a few months in advance and things we discussed in the meeting never made it in/out of our BEO (I should have been more forcefully on getting things changed but was certain it was discussed so partially my fault. AKA everything needs to be in your BEO). 2) Things that were in my BEO (like GF meals for specific people) didn't happen until my guest had the nerve to ask and after being told no and demanding to get another plate, the catering lead so oh yes you're right. 3) The layout of the room/couches was not correct day of and had to be moved delaying set up. 4) Beware, the initial example they give you for food was like 1/2 of what I actually ended up with (again my choices for food) but the \"sample\" they give you is literally the cheapest of the cheap items. 5) DĂŠcor that we brought and ended up not being used was \"put away in storage\" and was never found again. This included ~50 glass hurricanes. This list is more so \"learnings\" which is why I still rated them a 4, but sharing so that future brides are aware. Again, the windows and the space are very very beautiful.

We worked with David and CN Catering on a custom menu and really wanted to have chicken tikka masala as one of our entree options. It is notoriously hard to get right in our opinion and CN Catering delivered on all fronts. We really could not have been more pleased and if we could do it again, weâd pick The Room on Main/ CN Catering every time!

I spent over 20k for an event here for my daughter's wedding and at every turn the more I dealt with the more unreasonable I found them to me. They're unorganized and like I said will price gouge you at every turn.Want an example? I'll give you a couple.1. I own and operate a liquor brand and asked the venue to help me bring it in for the event to replace on of their bottom of the barrel generic brands of liquor. They agreed. Only to find out that they wanted to charge me $150 per bottle to bring it in. Let me explain this price. They get it from their distributors at $40 a bottle. And then turn around and charge me $150 for each. It's highway robbery. I understand a mark up but this is crazy. Especially since I'm spending thousands and all I asked was to help me bring in my brand to my special family event. When I asked about it, they were not flexible at all and explained that that's what bars and restaurants would charge.2. The evening was going fine and we asked to extend the night by one hour. They obliged but made me sign an estimate without a final price. They explained that they would add tax and gratuity but wouldn't give me a total before I signed. In the heat of the moment I signed but it's definitely predatory in nature.Overall they're not welcoming. Not kind. And will try and take advantage whenever they can. Don't book your event here.

The food was excellent- I had shrimp and pasta, great salad along with everything thing else we ate including the appetizers. The wait staff was prompt and helpful not interfering with conversation. Hoping to have a reception some day for our daughter!

The room was stunning, it was nice and chilled (we were very thankful for this since our wedding was in July and it was 102 outside), and I can't say enough good things about the FOOD. CN catering knocked it out of the park. We visited so many different venues when we were planning our wedding, and I am so so glad we went with the Room on Main. It exceeded any and all expectations of what we wanted our wedding to be. David Kilpatrick was great to work with and answered all questions that my mom and I had during the planning process. The staff the night of the wedding was quick, attentive, and made sure guests were taken care of at all times. It you want a wedding with downtown views and absolutely incredible food, look no further. 10/10.

I honestly don't know what these other reviews are talking about when it comes to COVID and the options to move dates. When I approached the venue to move my date, not only did I think about our horrible situation, but I cannot imagine what this small business is going through. There were some financial penalties with moving dates, however, the options given were more than fair. I do not know anyone else' scenario, but I do know there are at least 2 sides to every story. Personally I had a very smooth process changing our date with The Room on Main.

TROM was everything I ever wanted in my wedding reception. I had been looking for a venue where my guests would be treated to a gorgeous view of the Dallas skyline; the TROM was perfect for this. Not to mention, the restored ballroom has so much character and is located in the heart of downtown Dallas. My husband and I are proud Texans and are very attached to the city so this couldnât have been more perfect.Food was our biggest concern during our wedding planning process. My husband is Vietnamese, and in his culture food means everything in a wedding (and can even affect how guests gift the couple!). Traditionally, Vietnamese weddings in DFW are hosted within a limited range of venues that can specially cater Chinese/Vietnamese food. We knew that a majority of our guests would be expecting this kind of food. TROMâs biggest selling point was that food was their thing; and they absolutely delivered and went above and beyond my husband and my expectations.TJ, our venue coordinator, worked with us EVERY step of the way. We were able to customize our menu so that we had traditional Asian food items while still keeping some Western entrĂŠeâs. CN Catering offered several public tastings of their (vast!) menu and we were also able to set up a private tasting with the chef. Quite literally, every small detail could be customized and was accounted for during our reception. CN Catering even went out of the way to recreate a special sushi roll that my husband and I had requested! They recreated it perfectly down to the T; and it felt like my husband and I were able to share something about ourselves to our guests through the food. Our guests loved TROM and were impressed by the food. A lot of our guests remarked on how fast the food came out. My husbandâs grandmother hasnât since stopped talking about how much she enjoyed everything about the wedding and food- and this speaks volumes about the TROM! Looking back at our wedding, we feel very satisfied and incredibly lucky and blessed. I donât think we could possibly be happier with how everything turned out. If we had to do everything again, we wouldnât change a thing.

It's a beautiful room which was great cause it doesn't need many decorations. We had wonderful time and couldn't have asked for a better venue. Service - 4 StarsOverall, we were satisfied with CN Catering. We loved the food and so did our guests. One area of improvement was communication and response time in the planning process and leading up to the wedding. We had a few instances where it took longer than expected to get our questions answered. Everything turned out fine but it made us a little anxious in the planning process. We were still happy with their service but just something they could improve upon.

Warning - this review is rather free-flowing and has little structure. FIRST - Alma is AMAZING. She, and The Room on Main were accommodating, engaging, responsive, and just downright nice! We did both our ceremony and reception at the venue. The room flip took just minutes and was non-intrusive. The giant windows gave us GORGEOUS light for the ceremony (4 in the afternoon), and then the uplighting created a warm, happy environment for dinner and dancing. Food - We did the cheese selection for an appetizer, and the whole display was empty by the time my wife and I got back from taking photos. I think they liked it. For dinner, we had chicken and fish, and both were generally praised. They have an incredible selection of options at every budget point, and will customize anything for you. Bar - YOU CAN PROVIDE YOUR OWN BOOZE ON FRIDAY OR SUNDAY (but not Saturday), and that's what we did. We still paid a corkage and per-person fee in addition to our own alcohol, but we estimated we saved about $3000 as opposed to going through them. Everything was served properly. The only 2 caveats to the venue are here:First, there was a miscommunication on the recipe for one of the signature drinks that we customized. It's both ours and the venue's fault equally, and did not diminish the review. My only word is - if you have a signature cocktail of your own, make sure the recipe is written out to the letter. Second, the groom's preparation room is small. Like less than 10x10 small. So if you're expecting a place to hang out with your groomsmen at the venue, it won't be in there. Overall - the best day of our life was perfect. Thanks Alma!

The Room on Main was the perfect choice for our daughter's wedding! Alma was so professional and willing to help in anyway she could - and she did!Our daughter invited all of the guests to an 'engagement party' and surprised them with a wedding! One is so nervous about everything going well with a traditional wedding and the surprise factor added to the stress. Well Alma was a great comfort on such a potentially stressful day. She was confident and reassuring about the staff, food, venue, etc. And she was 100% right. It was such a relief to know we were dealing with a professional, well run venue.I can't say enough how beautiful everything looked and how kind the staff was. They were in on the surprise and did a great job keeping a secret. Many guests expressed to me how nice the staff were - always smiling. The lighting, the table service and the floor to ceiling windows made such an elegant setting. Captain Christy was there the entire night and always with a smile asking me if I needed any help.The food was so delicious! Every food station ran smoothly just as Alma reassured us it would. I would have loved to eat more of everything but I was so full.From the minute we met Alma until we carried the last box out the night of the wedding, it was perfect. I wish I had another event to attend there - love that place!Thank you so much Alma and your staff. I hope we get to see you again!

The Room on Main was perfect for my daughter's wedding. We wanted a venue that could accommodate up to 300 people with room for a band. The space is beautiful with hardwood floors and lots of windows. Alma was great to work with too! All of our vendors were very familiar with and had worked with the Room on Main many times. We just felt really good about our venue choice during the planning process, during the reception and we would do it there all over again!

I fell in love with The Room on Main the moment I walked in. It is a gorgeous ballroom with a great view of Down town Dallas. The entire staff is very professional and went above and beyond to help realize our dream wedding. Alma is an expert and was very helpful throughout the entire process. CN Catering did an incredible job. The food was service was amazing! Our guest were extremely impressed with the venue and food. If you want a beautiful wedding with exceptional service look no further. The Room on Main and CN catering are the perfect team. They pride themselves on on excellent customer service. Everything went as planned due to their expertise and experience. There are not enough words to thank them for everything they did.

We had our reception at the Room on Main and it was an absolute blast! The venue is breathtaking and the food was great. We were hesitant as your required to use their catering company but once we did a food tasting our worries disappeared. We had Alma as our coordinator and she was a pleasure to work with. She helped address any concerns we had and made the whole process extremely easy. Weâre still getting compliments on the wedding to this day.

I know that reviews for wedding vendors tend to always get a bit gushy, and this review will be no exception. From the moment my husband and I walked into Room on Main, we knew that was where we wanted to get married. Right in the heart of downtown Dallas, which made it super easy for all of our out of town guests, the windows give way to an amazing view of the city, and some of the best photography lighting you can ask for. Aesthetics aside, the staff, specifically Alma, were so wonderful to work with. She helped guide us step-by-step through the whole process, and day-of when she was out sick, her substitute picked up without a hitch. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better experience, and would make the same decision over again in a heartbeat.

The Room has a great view of the city, big tall windows, neutral drapes, beautiful chandeliers and wood floors! Alma was super helpful throughout the whole process. She and her staff were very accommodating as well on the day of. My husband and I did not want to leave!! The photos looked amazing as well! The food and service for our plated meal was fantastic! Endless options for menu. We received multiple compliments on the space and service. The Room on Main is perfect for elegant events. For our event, it very comfortably fit a band, stage, large dance floor, guest tables, cake tables, large satellite bar (in addition to main bar), large head table and 235 people with plenty of extra room. The entry way and bathrooms are very nice for guests. The main bar is also very nice. Highly highly recommend this venue! Many hotels and churches nearby. No regrets in choosing the Room on Main for my wedding, it was perfect for us!

I was nervous that we had to use an in house caterer. But donât be, they are incredible. Would 100% recommend as a venue for anyone!

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at The Room on Main, and things could not have gone better! The room is a beautiful venue to hold a wedding reception and really does not require much in the way of decorations. I very much enjoyed working with Alma Van Horn prior to our big day. She was extremely helpful and responsive. You must use the Room's exclusive caterer if you choose to have your reception there, but don't worry--the food is delicious and there is a TON of variety in what you can choose! Alma was very easy to work with in tailoring our menu and provided each individual item's cost to us so we were able to help narrow down what we wanted. The staff did a great job on the evening of our wedding. I will admit that I wish that some \"extras\" would have been included in the overall rental cost... for example, you have to pay extra to have uplighting on the sides of the walls and you have to pay extra for a stage if you decide to have a band. But I'm sure that these are \"extras\" in most reception venues around town. Another thing to note is that there is no separate space at the Room to have a cocktail hour, so if you are hoping to re-purpose your flowers from your wedding ceremony, it will be slightly awkward transporting them in to the Room while your wedding guests are milling about. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Room on Main!

The most beautiful venue ever! I knew this was going to be my wedding venue right away - tall celiengs, open windows, beautiful floors, this room has such elegance! They were so easy to work with and ensured all of my questions were answered in a timely manner. They made wedding planning so easy for me, and worked great with all of my other vendors. They have in house catering, linens, tables and chairs, which made my life so much easier. We didnt do a food tasting which made me a little nervous, but the food was delicious. Everyone was raving about the catering company they use (CN Catering). The room is pricey to rent, but so worth it! We just got our pictures back and they look incredible in this venue. Also, we had a live band and the sound was fantastic. I loved the openness of the room, it made it much easier to walk around from table to table and talk to guests the night of. Great venue!!

Everything about The Room on Main was 1st class. Our New Year's Eve wedding was better than we could have imagined. The venue is stunning and hardly needs any decor because it's so fantastic. And Iâm sure glad we did! I cannot begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our wedding and the wedding planning process with the Room. Alma was extremely accommodating and was always available to help answer questions and guide us throughout the planning process. I would highly recommend the Room on Main to anyoneâyou will not be disappoint!

Let me start out with the pros! - The venue is gorgeous! We immediately fell in love when we walked in. The high ceilings and big windows are a show stopper. - CN Catering is the required caterer at this venue. Their food was awesome! We had the brisket (which melted in your mouth), truffle mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. The apps were also really good! - bar staff were friendly and quick! Cons:- The venue needs to work on their customer service. They were fine when they were communicating via email, but in person they werenât the most pleasant. - They made my parents take out the bulk trash..This to me is unacceptable and rude. We paid a lot of money for the wait staff and yet they asked the parents of the bride to do this (which they did). Other than that we had a great experience!

The staff took care of it all, without having to be asked. The Captains we had were amazing. They answered any question my mom had or any of our guests needed. We received too many compliments to count. Thank you for taking away the stress and getting the job done. It made my night so much more enjoyable! Alma was amazing throughout the process and extremely helpful. The venue is also GORGEOUS. I am biased, but it was perfect for my wedding. Thank you all!

The room on Main was an absolute fairytale! Alma, David and the rest of the TROM/CN Catering team were so great,they were sweet professional, responsive and so helpful during the entire planning process and the wedding! They even gave us a little gift basket at the end of the night to take with us to the hotel. It's the most gorgeous venue in Dallas, if you're looking for a place definitely check it out!

The lines of communication were always open which made working with ROM and CN catering a complete breeze. CN Catering have amazing packages for any price point, but they allowed me to go item by item so i could personalize my event to my taste precisely. The night of my wedding, as the elevator doors opened, my heart grew five times that day!! The place was stunning, the food was amazing. Guests have been complementing me for days now on every aspect and detail! Follow your heart brides and you won't be wrong!
