I cannot begin to explain how wonderful Neil and his team were in the the lead-up to and on our wedding day. Neil acted as the prior-to and day-of planner and took us to dinner, and Tori took over after with our head waiter of Colin, an excellent waitstaff, and a fantastic bar staff.Neil answered any an all questions leading up to the big day and the things The Roosevelt Room provided so we didn't have to worry about it on our big day were huge. Some of it included linens, chargers, and gold silverware; bustling my dress after the bustle exploded; and creating a special menu item for our after party. We got the beef short ribs, honey balsamic chicken, and crab cakes. All were A+. No bad or even lukewarm reviews on the food or drink. I cannot wait for other couples to find The Roosevelt Room because this staff truly cares about your day- you are not just another wedding to come through. I can go on and on and on. We planned this day for close to two years and I was nervous because was quite a long time and I didn't remember a lot from our initial conversation but if I had a question it was answered very quickly. You also cannot beat what they include for the venue for the price. The food was incredible. I cannot tell you how many compliments we got for all of it. It's amazing and our day felt like a fairytale! Neil went above and beyond and got right into the thick of it when needed and was very hands on. We got married at Union Station back in June, and it really was a perfect day (and weekend). Right from our first introduction to USB, Neil was responsive, accommodating, and calm. He made us feel confident that we had found the right venue for our wedding and was exceptional all the way through execution of a perfect event. Robert and Andrei were assigned to be our right-hand guys from pre-ceremony all the way up to the after party, and they made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. We received endless compliments from our guests—the beauty of the venue, the perfectly-cooked food, even the elegance of the serving staff delivering and placing each table’s meals all at once—it was a true five-star event the whole way through. We also were able to take advantage of Platform Sports Bar for a welcoming reception for our guests the night before our wedding, and we used the Tunnel Loft behind the banquet hall/above Tunnel Bar for our after-party. Neil was involved with planning all these events and provided a turnkey service for the whole weekend. For anyone considering a wedding (or other event) at Union Station, we cannot recommend them enough! Reviewed on 07-11-2023

If you’re looking for an all inclusive intimate venue and location, look no further than Union Station in Northampton. After looking at several venues around Massachusetts, the love we felt for Union Station was almost instant. The old train terminal architecture with high ceilings was beautiful and it being connected to the phenomenal tunnel bar was a plus! To make it even better, the venue was reasonably priced compared to many other places we looked at. But even after falling in love with the building and location, what sealed the deal was Neil, the Event Director, who made us feel welcomed and comfortable every step of the way. The packages they offer are extremely inclusive, and helped narrow down some of the vendors and cost for the whole day. For the rest, we opted to DIY a lot of things and Neil was extremely helpful in the back and forth and making sure everything we were making and planning would have an appropriate spot and that it would make sense. Come wedding day, to say that they passed our expectations would be an understatement. Everything was absolutely perfect and all of our friends and family cannot stop raving about all aspect of the wedding. The food was fantastic, hot, and delivered timely. Lighting and floral arrangements were perfect, and the subtle uplighting provided by the venue added dimension to the room that elevated the whole look. The staff took all accommodations seriously for allergies, of which we had several, including the groom. If you have a gluten allergy you are safe here! All in all we can’t recommend this venue enough. On a wedding day you usually have something happen that you have to push through or ignore, but we can honestly say that there was nothing at all that went wrong. If you want a beautiful venue and location with a team of absolute professionals who have your best interests at heart the entire process, this is the place for you. Our wedding at Union Station Banquets went completely above and beyond our expectations. The entire staff was incredibly kind and our guests raved about the service they received. We didn't have to worry about anything except getting ourselves ready for the big day. My husband wanted elegance and I wanted something unique and Union Station Banquets impeccably delivered both. First, Neil, the venue coordinator, answered all of our questions and met all of our requests during the planning process. Wedding planning wasn't even stressful with all of his help through the entire process. The staff at Union Station works closely with many incredible vendors they know well which helped the day go seamlessly. The food and bar were probably the most important to us when looking for a venue. I am American and my husband is originally from India so we wanted food to fit both palettes for our guests. The food was absolutely incredible and Union Station worked so closely and flexibly with us to design the menu.Union Station is astonishingly beautiful. The historic architecture is unlike any other wedding venue I have seen. They also helped us incorporate many Indian decorations as well as providing us with some of their own decor. Union station hosted our wedding and was absolutely amazing. I can not say enough good things about their wedding coordinator Neil who went above and beyond for us, so far as to taking our calls on his day off to catching every little detail we had told him, he even managed to surprise us with nachos from where our first date had been (a tiny detail we had mentioned a year prior during a venue walkthrough). As for the physical location, the history of the building and unique construction makes this banquet facility not feel like just a big square white room like many others, it's warm and welcoming in every area. Planning with Neil was a pleasure and a breeze, and the day went so smoothly thanks to Robert and the rest of the staff! We did everything there: getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and after party. They have so many different spaces within the venue, and the way they flip the big room during cocktail hour made it feel like each part of the day was in a totally new space! And they did a great job setting everything up, it looked beautiful and it was all just how we talked about. Everyone also loved the food and drinks - we did the prime rib, salmon, and honey balsamic chicken. For the after party we did fries & pretzels - it was all great. They were also very accommodating of dietary preferences & allergies. Neil is super helpful and responsive throughout the planning process, and the whole staff executes the day-of flawlessly. Samantha Reich(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-07-2022 We cannot say enough good things about Neil and the team at Union Station Banquets. The main takeaway is this: Union Station allowed us to have the full vision of our wedding become a reality, and in a financially practical way. From the first meeting, Neil was completely welcoming and unassuming. Any time we met in person, Neil was as excited to plan the details of our wedding as we were. If we emailed, he was always responsive within a day and answered our questions directly. Compared to other places where that was “an additional offering” or “couldn’t be done in this package,” we never felt like we had to keep our wants close to the vest out of fear that we would get pushed into spending more money. If it was doable at a cost we could afford, it was done, and if it wasn’t, there was no problem moving on without it. Neil truly wanted us to have a wedding that was everything we wanted and nothing we didn’t. He offered his suggestions and ideas, but never put pressure on us to include something and we never felt like we had to “bite the bullet” on any decision. At one point during our tasting, we had asked for a late night snack menu and Neil said “the staff is really excited to work with your menu” and it genuinely felt that they were as much a part of our planning as we were. The banquet hall itself is a beautiful, cool, early 20th century aesthetic that is attractive on its own, but also presents plenty of opportunities to be personalized. There is an obvious travel aesthetic with the space, but with the open brick and brass bar, the turn-of-the-century advertising around that space, old, recessed ticket windows turned to mirrors, and a huge fireplace, the space welcomes any variety of themes you might have in mind. We would be remiss if we didn’t also thank our Lead Bartender, Rob. He was amazing, both attentive and intuitive. We were never going to be the couple who “forgot to eat” at their own wedding, but without ever saying that, Rob was always available to us first with hors d'oeuvres. Three things we loved about Rob -- aside from just what a wonderful and enthusiastic person he seemed to be -- included, when we were first taking photos around the venue, he found us outside before our time together had even started and he brought us water while we were outside on a 98 degree day. Similarly, he was always around us with appetizers and drinks at the ready, but he also never made our guests feel out of place. Of course he brought us appetizers first and looked to us first, but we’ve been at weddings where that tray was withheld from guests because it was “for the bride and groom.” He never shut anyone down if they grabbed for that tray, which is exactly what we would have asked of him. Finally, on the only stressful moment of our day, he recognized that we were maybe feeling overwhelmed by the attention of our guests and, without interrupting, took it upon himself to find us and bring fresh drinks. He was the person we engaged with the most directly, but so many of our guests applauded the service of the staff at the bar and on the floor. They were all amazingThe team at Union Station was completely unexpected. In an overwhelming industry dominated by fixed, generic, overpriced, wedding packages that make you feel hamstrung, Union Station Banquets was everything you wish you could have for your wedding and we can’t thank them enough or recommend them highly enough. Amanda Palmeira(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-10-2022 We got married a the Roosevelt Room last weekend and it was literally flawless. My now-husband and I agree that choosing the Roosevelt Room was our #1 best choice for our wedding! We cannot say enough about how amazing this place is. Some of the highlights: The venue is gorgeous. Vintage, romantic vibes and the high ceilings take your breath away when you walk into the reception hall. We had our ceremony and reception there, and the staff absolutely nailed the setup, decor, and the transition of the spaces from ceremony to reception. We also had full reign of the space and were able to set it up however we wanted, from setting up a sitting area in the lounge to having a private area upstairs for the bride and groom to sneak away. Then, the amount of things included with the venue is mind-blowing: all the food, a cake, linens/tableware, staff and bartender, centerpieces, decor, and the invaluable assistance of the venue’s event director (Neil) throughout the planning process. We identified this venue as the best value without even fully realizing what was included or how critical Neil would be! Also, the food was incredible, we and our guests were raving. We had three entree options plus a vegetarian option, multiple appetizers, an apple cider station (hot and cold with garnishes), a custom cocktail, and our choice of beers on tap. And we had the option to do a consumption bar, which worked perfectly for us. And I will never stop singing Neil’s praises: he was so patient and helpful to me over the almost two-year planning process. He has a rolodex knowledge of vendors and resources, took the time to understand our vision to a T, and went above and beyond to make it happen. The rest of the staff was amazing, too. They were kind and professional; we loved the fancy synchronized serving at our guests’ tables, and we (the bride and groom) even had our own attendant to make sure we always had a drink or water in our hand (Rob was so great!). The attention to detail and professionalism truly made it so my husband and I, and our guests, were able to focus on the emotion and beauty of the day, and we are so so grateful! We had a few really specific considerations when we were on the hunt for a venue, primarily that we wanted to have an all-vegan menu. Union Station was the one place that seemed not only able to accommodate that wish, but actively excited about the opportunity to explore vegan options with us, and the food at both our tasting and the wedding was AMAZING. All of our guests were so impressed! We were also able to have three signature drinks and pick two draft options, all of which were a big hit with our guests thanks to the great bar staff.Neil, the on-site coordinator, was responsive and helpful throughout the planning process and handled the setup of the decor/guest book etc on the day -of so that we could focus on getting ready. And we also can't say enough good things about Robert, our head waiter; he went above and beyond to make our day perfect, from helping our photographer get the perfect autumn shot by throwing leaves at us off-camera (and then picking the leaves out of our dress trains!) to overseeing the structure of the day, to simply checking in and bringing us whatever we needed! Another member of the staff expertly assisted with the bustling of our dresses, and every other staff person we worked with throughout the day was absolutely lovely. Our guests were floored by the kindness and attentiveness of everyone working that day. From coordinating with our other vendors to plating our five-course dinner, Union Station made every potentially difficult task an absolute walk in the park. The space itself is also one of the most beautiful and functional venue spaces in the area. We were able to use the bridal suite for the entire day, which made getting ready so much easier. We used the atrium for a photobooth and guest book area, and it was great to have a separate, slightly quieter space for that sort of thing. I will tell everyone I know to use this venue for their events; it's the perfect combo of a beautiful space and rock-star staff. Reviewed on 03-10-2022
Kaitlin Canty(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-09-2022 We were thrilled with our wedding at Union Station! Having experienced two weddings there (ours and another as guests), we couldn’t give the venue a stronger recommendation. We went to my cousin’s wedding at Union Station several months before getting engaged, and we were immediately drawn to the unique space. It was once a fully functioning train station, and they were able to keep much of the original brick work, lamp posts, and other features. It adds a lot of character to the space, and it requires very little additional decoration. We also were drawn to the food – everyone has suffered through subpar wedding food over the course of their lives, but our meals (and the general consensus among guests) was that the food was restaurant-quality. Particularly high marks for the salmon. When we selected Union Station as our venue the following year, we couldn’t have been more impressed with the coordinator, Neil. He is professional and knowledgeable, but also has a very laid-back and approachable demeanor. Throughout the entire experience, he was accommodating and flexible. I don’t think he said “no” once to us during the entire planning process. He also had very helpful suggestions along the way, and we were confident in his advice and guidance. Neil was truly a pleasure to work with.On the day of the wedding, we were pleased to arrive at the venue and find out that decorations were already set up exactly as specified, and that all deliveries were complete and organized. We were introduced to Rob, who was at our side throughout the entirety of the reception. There was nothing he couldn’t do. He effortlessly coordinated to reserve space and usher us into Tunnel Bar for photos (after 6pm on a Friday), offered advice through the night, and helped make sure that we had a full drink (if we wanted it). There is a lot going on during your wedding, and it meant the world to have Rob and Neil available for us to lean on and ask for suggestions. They made sure that every need was taken care of.These are just a few of the many benefits of choosing Union Station. They contract with two local florists to provide the centerpieces to your specification (we were very pleased), and they even include the cake (Greggory’s was fantastic). Pricing was very reasonable, and we never felt like we were being upsold. We are so happy that we chose Union Station as the venue for our special day.(Our team of vendors for Union Station were all great on the day of: Absolute Entertainment for DJ, Brian Marsh for photography, Anya Drew for videographer, Forget Me Not for florist, Greggory’s for cake, Creative Weddings (Rev. Liz Zielinski) for officiant, and Epic Salon for hair and makeup.) Reviewed on 30-09-2022
Lauren Johnson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-09-2022 If you are skeptical about booking the Roosevelt room, DO IT. I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding. Neil, their wedding coordinator, was an absolute dream. He was with me every step of the way and made sure all our bases were covered. He helped coordinate the flowers, wedding cake, rehearsal, meals, signature drinks, the list goes on!! Not to mention the fact that this place was all inclusive for the most part. One contact for wedding cake, flowers, food and drinks? YES PLEASE. Made my life SOOO much easier. This place needs no decor, it is so beautiful on its own and it’s in a great location. Lots of bars, restaurants, and hotels are within walking distance. The staff here was fabulous and everything was delicious. I really felt so special and important and a big part of that was due to the staff at Union station. I cannot rave enough about this venue!!! I wish I could post my photos! Reviewed on 22-09-2022

Caitlin Rogers(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-08-2022 We got married at Union Station in August 2022 and Neil was truly incredible at every stage of the wedding planning process. We are so happy with our choice to have the reception there! Neil was so accommodating and patient with us. He's such a nice guy and very responsive and easy to communicate with. He also went above and beyond to help us make our vision come to life, and all with very little added expense. For example, we ordered a disco ball and he offered to hang it up. We also wanted to have bottles of wine on the table from Black Birch Vineyard and he ordered it for us, and we got a snowcone machine for the bar so the bartenders could make snowcone negronis for our guests. Our ceremony was at Look Park and Neil agreed to set up a lemonade stand, which was lovely and really important considering it turned out to be 95 degrees that day! The only thing I wish was different was the wedding tasting -- I wish I got to try more apps. We didn't get to try an abundance of apps and we ended up choosing some ones that I regret. I wouldn't recommend choosing the lobster on endive spear. BUT, the dinner entrees (prime rib, crab cakes, and eggplant parmesan) were delicious. All in all, a superb venue!!! Reviewed on 01-09-2022
Caroline Hafey(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-08-2022 Rehearsal Dinner 8/26/22We got married in Amherst a couple days ago. We decided to have our wedding at the Inn on Boltwood so we could have accommodations the night of/on site. However, we wanted to venture out for the rehearsal dinner. We looked around extensively in the Amherst/Northampton area and eventually decided on the Union Station for our rehearsal dinner. This was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. First, Neil, the Event Director, was SO responsive even though we were only hosting our rehearsal dinner with them. We ended up selecting the premium plated dinner for approximately 30 guests. The Union Station does not currently have fee to rent their space for the dinners, which made it far more affordable than the competition. The price was right, and the food quality was phenomenal. The Union Station food lived up to all the reviews. We also did not want to do a full open bar, but Neil gave us other options that allowed us to host some of the bar tab (we had 2 bottles of wine per table). For appetizers, we had the cheese/veggie/fruit platter (guests raved about the quality of the fruit). We had passed apps of bacon wrapped dates with manchego cheese, cauliflower risotto balls, and steak on a crostini. Each app, recommended by Neil, were AMAZING. We chose to have the salmon and beef tenderloin for the main courses, as well as the pesto ravioli as our vegetarian option. I had the salmon and it was PERFECT. As a side, we chose the caramelized potato gratin and broccolini. The beef tenderloin was so perfect and cooked just right. Everyone LOVED their meals, especially us. We finished with the seasonal cheesecake (strawberry topped). Throughout our wedding and honeymoon, we kept talking about how much we loved the food at Union Station. Lastly, the room was decorated so perfectly and the staff were SUPER accommodating and took such good care of our guests. I would go out of my way to host an event here again just to eat the food. There was even a post party room located over the Tunnel bar where guests could continue enjoying a great time. The staff provided exceptional service seamlessly made the evening flow. Brigida Palatino(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-03-2022 This was the perfect venue and the best experience we could have ever asked for... even as we navigated it all through the COVID pandemic. We couldn't have done it without Neil Gadbois (Union Station event coordinator). Neil was truly exceptional to work with, as his entire staff (Gauge, Bridget and everyone in the day of action such as the chefs, servers and bartenders). To paint the best picture as to why this was truly special, we got engaged on March 15, 2020, which was just before the world shut down due to the pandemic. We were eager to try and plan as best as possible while navigating through very uncertain times. As we looked at a wide variety of venues throughout Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, nothing compared to Union Station in Northampton, MA and Neil Gadbois. In regards to the venue, the space is STUNNING. It provides a uniquely historic/vintage/timeless yet hip and trendy vibe. There is so much natural character with exposed brick, indoor street lights, a fireplace, stained glass, and more. We decided to have the ceremony at the venue in front of the fireplace and were very impressed how quickly the staff was able to transform it for the reception (145 people). The space also included a bridal/wedding party suite and a private after-party location above the famous Tunnel Bar. [We also recommend Progression Brewery as they were outstanding for our rehearsal dinner to accommodate 50+ people]. As for Neil, he is the real deal!!! He was very flexible working with us from allowing us to push our wedding date due to the pandemic from March 20, 2021 to March 19, 2022, to various accommodations over our 2-years of planning. My family is Portuguese and Neil was incredibly accommodating in allowing us to have a family-style meal, pre-set Portuguese wine on the tables, Portuguese beer, and allowed us to bring in additional desserts from Bernardino's Bakery in Chicopee, MA. Food/Drinks: We selected the Platinum Package with full open bar and would recommend all of it!!! We also did an after-party with late night food too! Food:5 hors' devours (bacon wrapped dates, risotto balls, crab cakes, lobster stuffed mushrooms, and beef negimaki). Endive, watercrest, apple & herb saladRaspberry sorbet palette cleanser Family-style Mains:Coulotte steak with caramelized onion au gratin potatoesRosemary lemon chicken with brussel sproutsTeriyaki salmon with rice pilafLate night food: french fry bar and Crispy chicken & Cheeseburger slidersDesserts: We did not want a cake and Neil accommodated us with a dessert stipend. The venue has a partnership with La Fiorentina in Springfield, MA so we selected mini Italian pastries (cannoli, eclairs, creme puffs, and tiramisu too). We also were able to bring in Portuguese desserts from Bernardino's to supplement what the venue provides.Drinks: We had a specialty cocktail and the two draft selections we chose were \"Lunch\" by Maine Beer Company and \"Ice Cream Man\" by Back East Brewing. They also can make anything you want for mix drinks and had a wide variety of beer and wine too. Lastly, the venue package included centerpieces so we used \"Forget Me Not\" in Northampton, MA and they did a great job creating the succulents we wanted. Neil, the on-site coordinator, set up the space beautifully (with truly minimal vision on my part), organized the wedding party and family, and even put together food for after the reception with hours notice. The food was incredible, and the service was top notch. Robert, who was our personal server, was always present with anything we might need, from giving me a glass of water before walking down the aisle, to fluffing out my train. On the day of our wedding, our head waiter Robert really went above and beyond anything we could have ever imagined. We didn’t meet Robert prior to wedding day but he was very tuned into who he needed to check in on prior to and during the wedding. He gathered drinks for myself and the bridesmaids prior to the wedding while we waited upstairs and made sure boutonnières made it to the correct people. My husband said Robert got him some fries pre ceremony since he didn’t get a change to eat that morning. Robert even went and got us our favorite drinks from the tunnel bar to have with our wedding cake. From the moment my husband (then fiancé) met Neil for our tour, we knew we were in the right hands. It is extremely evident that Neil is experienced in the wedding industry, and that really helps put a bride and groom at ease! The Roosevelt room is unique and has its own character; you need minimal other decorations (saves $$$!). The package structure takes out a lot of the other people you'd need to contact with planning (forget trying to coordinate with a caterer and separate liquor!), and you truly get a lot for your money. The food is DELICIOUS (highly recommend the chicken piccata and potatoes au gratin), and the bar/cocktail area are spectacular. The atrium is the perfect space for a photo booth. Neil was very easy to connect with via email; he answered questions quickly and gave good, honest opinions when needed. He was extremely professional and gave you the attention you needed without taking up too much of your time. Our rehearsal and wedding day ran so smoothly and seamlessly. All of the little extras I had brought were displayed perfectly and appropriately. He is very detail oriented and you will feel like a celebrity on your day and leading up to it. As a covid bride I saw so many stories on social media about couples getting burned by their venues and other vendors. Neil made it very clear early on Union Station was different. We didn’t lose a penny, had SEVERAL flexible options and Neil made my 20 person wedding feel like my original 100+ person wedding. Being in the business his connections are worth a fortune. My florist Heather was of equal caliber and i don’t know anyone who could have held a candle to the work she did for the wedding. Neil was on a ladder at the end of the night making sure my mother took home every single flower. I have been to several weddings were the event coordinator left before the dancing started.Another thing that sold me on this venue is it is indoors. You could have a Monsoon and not worry about charming beautiful pictures. Thankfully we also got some great outdoor shots at Smith but the weather was really looking bad leading up to the ceremony. I probably would have been in a panic if it was an outdoor venue. Food was on point. Their flexibility, professionalism and commitment were unmatched and difficult to articulate in a simple review. The team was willing to wait with us as restrictions changed daily and adapt as September arrived. Our original 150+ person festivity was not feasible but Neil and his team were able to shift us to an incredibly scenic farm a short distance from Union Station, where we had a lovely 20 person wedding reception. The owner of Union Station owns Micka Farm and while this is not generally used as a wedding venue, they were willing to accommodate us and our guests under a tent while we enjoyed the delicious food The Roosevelt Room had to offer. We couldn't have been any more fortunate to work with Neil and Union Station as they were able to (seemingly at the last minute) transition everything to an outdoor venue. They were very easy to work with and very flexible, allowing us to add on a late night snack not far before the day of the event. Salads were on ALL the guests plates already when everyone say down after our first dance. When a table was served, the entire table was served and no one was left behind. Waitstaff were attentive and courteous and did not take drinks just because they were partially filled. The venue was of course also beautiful and there were great photo ops inside, out front, along the side walk, and also in the tunnel bar just under the venue. Everyone was wonderful, the staff was polite, professional, and friendly. The food was FANTASTIC and the bartenders were world class. I personally found my wedding planning process to be simple, easy, stress free and I feel as if I owe it entirely to Neil. He was always quick to respond to emails, polite but still approachable and friendly. You could really tell that he cared about his job and our big day. The already beautiful Union Station Event Hall was turned into a winter wonderland for our wedding. Everything was set up for us just the way I imagined it, only better. The beautiful vintage venue still remains a constant conversation point with our guests, a month later. Everything from the light fixtures, the brickwork, to the grand archways drip with grandure and old world romance. It leaves an impression on everyone who enters. Unlike many venues these days we felt that Union Station had an authentic historical uniqueness that left all of our guests impressed. I could go on and on but to summize I cannot recommend Neil and the Union Station event team enough. I think Union Station should be the obvious choice for any Bride or Groom looking for a less stressful wedding planning process with flawless service in an unbeatable atmosphere. Thanks Neil and everyone who made out day so perfect! Neil, the event manager, was very easy to get in touch with (and I contacted him a lot), and you could tell he really cared about making our wedding day special. Literally up until the night before I was making changes to our reception, and Neil carried out everything I asked flawlessly. I gave him creative license to help decorate the venue for our 1920's theme with the decorations we brought in, and he did not disappoint. However, the transition to working with the current even director, Neil, was so easy and not at all stressful. Neil was wonderful as he took the time to answer all of our questions and ensure that we received everything that we wanted in a venue, including food, decorations, unique drinks, etc. My parents actually footed the bill for the wedding, but kept saying how happy they were that we chose Union Station as it was affordable and they were able to stay within their budget. We had 93 people total at our wedding and it felt like the perfect fit - not too big and not too small. Union Station also offers vendors that they work with which is included in their package - specifically flowers and wedding cake. The vendors were wonderful and Neil did a great job communicating with them to ensure that we received everything that we wanted. Corey, the event director, is professional, attentive, creative, and so fun. He is an asset and helped us bring our wedding vision to life. On the day of, Corey kept our schedule moving smoothly and brought my new husband and I drinks, food, etc. He even fixed a bridesmaid’s zipper when it broke! Corey thought of every detail to make our day special. When the bridesmaids arrived at the venue from the hotel, there was a charcuterie plate and champagne waiting in the bridal suite for us. Following the ceremony, when we were waiting to be announced to the reception, there were drinks and a plate of our passed apps brought up to the bridal suite for the whole party. It was awesome and so thoughtful! The space looked absolutely incredible. While the architecture looks gorgeous on its own, Corey set our decor, up lights, and flowers in a way that brought the space to life. I heard over and over from our guests that Union Station was one of the most unique venues they had ever seen. Finally, the food was just amazing. I am usually pretty wary of wedding food, but this food was like eating at a fancy restaurant. From the synchronized serving of plates (something my parents loved) to the special attention given to a friend with food allergies, every piece of the dinner was executed perfectly. My husband and I both had the hangar steak, which was delicious and cooked to perfection. All in all, we could not be happier that we booked our wedding at Union Station. We initially were set on an outside venue, but when we walked into Union Station, we were won over by the character and the way it looked - the ceilings and lampposts are so cool! Corey was wonderful throughout the whole process, especially since we brought over a whole bunch of vintage radios and posters and travel-themed stuff and he set it all up beautifully. My dad also had about a zillion questions, which Corey answered patiently. We really liked that they took care of everything, since we planned our wedding from California, and it was really nice not to have to deal with caterers, etc, but it was also cool that they contract with local vendors to do the centerpieces and cake, so it felt very personalized. We really liked the food (the cake was fantastic) and were really, really happy with Union Station. If you are set on a wedding outside, we had our ceremony outside (Amherst Golf Club) and then the reception inside, which seemed like a good compromise. When we first booked with Union Station it was under a different coordinator. When we heard the news of the change in management I was a bit nervous because the previous guy was great. Let me tell you - Corey is even more amazing! In the months leading up to the wedding he was super responsive to my annoying crazy bride emails. When we had our meeting a few weeks before the wedding to finalize things he could not have been more accommodating and flexible with what we wanted. We had to change the venue or ceremony last minuet from church to Union Station and he handled it flawlessly and went above and beyond to make sure that everything was absolutely perfect. The night before the wedding I was able to drop off all of my decorations and little extras. I handed them to him with all the trust in the world and just told him to make things look pretty and he did exactly that! The day of the wedding I had several things go wrong - nothing to do with the venue at all but Corey stepped in, calmed my nerves, and made sure that me and my now husband were treated like a king and queen. He was always happy to make sure I had a glass of wine in my hand! The food was AMAZING, the servers were perfect, and our two bartenders couldn't have been better! I also want to note that I had a huge issue with one of my other vendors and Corey went out of his way after our wedding to reach out to that vendor and make things right with the situation on my behalf. I can't thank him enough for going above and beyond to make a really crappy situation a million times better. 12/10 times I would recommend Union Station - and more importantly Corey to ANYONE looking to get married. Everything from the first meeting to the food tasting to the final meeting was phenomenal and you could tell that they're only priority was to make our wedding everything we wanted it to be. About two months before our wedding, our Coordinator emailed saying he was leaving (IMAGINE MY PANIC) but we were being left in good hands. To say that he told the truth is an understatement. I could not have dreamed of having my wedding in the hands of someone better. At our final meeting I asked what time on Friday we could get into the ballroom to set up. He responded with 'what do you need to set up? That is my job, you do not need to worry about that.' Anyone who knows me knows that I am an absolute control freak but I was beyond willing to leave everything to Corey because I knew he was the best of the best. We started looking in western mass and found an article about a newly renovated venue in Northampton. We checked it out with my parents and the space itself blew us away! It offered so much more than a traditional ballroom. Corey took over 3 months before our wedding and nailed it! We had A LOT of requests and he never said \"no\" to them! Corey was in contact with all of our vendors which was a relief for me ! He offered to meet as many times as it took to ensure we felt comfortable with him understanding our vision. He went above and beyond for us including picking up vegan cupcakes for our dairy free guests. Corey has big plans for the future of Union Station and I'm so excited to see where he takes the venue! Shout out to Chef Tom and Gabriel the bartender! Chef Tom put together an amazing Asian Station! Everything was delicious and so well presented! Those crab rangoon.... I could eat those every day, all day! Gabriel remembered our guests names and orders. Throughout the night people kept mentioning his name and I knew we didn't have a guest by that name! My bridesmaids pulled me over to take a pic with him! Choosing Union Station was the best decision! We had our ceremony at Wistariahurst, there is a park nearby (Look Park) for pictures, the town of Northampton is adorable and our guests enjoyed the different activities in Northampton between our ceremony and reception. Hotel Northampton is a great spot for getting ready pictures and to host a brunch. Picking Union Station meant a lot more than just picking a venue. We picked a wedding weekend town. As we got closer to our wedding date- we had set up a meeting with our wedding coordinator Steve- but when we met for our appointment weeks before our wedding- we met someone new: Corey.. Corey and Steve told us that Steve was leaving and that Corey would be taking over. Well only a few weeks before our wedding there was a slight panic that took over due to the changing of hands so close to our wedding. Corey exceeded my expectations for amazingness!!! He took the vision i had and ran with it! I honestly think that it was a blessing that Corey stepped in at that time! Every little detail I told him I wanted- he did it. My biggest concern was for our introductions.. I had heard that when the wedding party and bride and groom were introduced that they stood in the doorway and then exited the room the left and walked around the outter room and then popped back in to the Grand Ballroom to the dance floor. I really can't say enough good things about my experience. 4 days before my wedding my worst nightmare happened, I was told I could not have a tent at my outdoor ceremony cite and there was a high chance of rain. Corey came to the rescue with ease. When I called him with my concern, with no hesitation he told me not to worry and that he would make it work and hold our ceremony at Union Station if it did rain (which it did) Not only did he set up the space beautifully for a ceremony but he went the extra mile. He contacted the tent rental company FOR ME and asked them to credit what I had paid for chairs and other extras and instead rent me drapery to block off the dance floor to create a separate space. He did this the DAY BEFORE my wedding when I made the final decision. That was such a relief and really reduced my stress level by not having to do that myself and it save me money. Prior to the actual wedding I had given Corey a list of people with dietary restrictions. Not only did he and the staff make sure they accommodated everyone he went the extra mile to contact a few guests who had more serious allergies. Those guests were so impressed and touched that he had taken the time to call them as they had never had that experience before. He also collected the card box for me and put it under our sweetheart table to insure it's safety. My husband and I fell in love with the space since it was not only beautiful but we had spent time at the Tunnel Bar (which used to connect with the station) when we started dating in college. It really made it feel full circle to us. Corey did us a wonderful kindness and asked the Tunnel Bar to allow us to take some photographs there before the ceremony (we chose take pictures first) It was a sweet bonus to have the opportunity to do so. I HIGHLY recommend Union Saturn Banquets for your wedding. Not only will you be in a beautiful and untraditional space but you I'll have the best customer service experience you could ask for. My husband and I chose Union Station for 2 reasons when we were researching wedding venues. 1) the character of the room 2) the staff. I met Steve when we were looking for a place to have our wedding. He was so knowledgeable, not pushy at all, very relaxed, and genuinely cared about our wants and needs for our big day. Steve was so responsive throughout the process and offered his expertise and advice when asked. He answered all of our questions, most times in less than 24 hours. The day before the wedding, he and Alice were there as staple pieces to guide us through everything. Now of course we were strangers before this, but the day before he wedding when I was dropping off finishing touches, he opened his arms and I flew into them. They both were so warm and sincerely cared about the day. The day before the wedding, Steve even scheduled us with a photobooth company because we had waited until the last minute. We had a dedicated server, Corey, who was excellent from the moment we arrived to the last minute making sure my husband and I had everything we needed. All of our guests raved about the food and the service. All in all it was the PERFECT evening. Everyone was congratulating me on organizing such a wonderful event, but it was Union Station, their staff, and their carefully selected vendors that made the day. Thank you so much Union Station, I will replay this night for the rest of my life. Thank you for making it perfect! Reviewed on 07-11-2016
Erica G(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-07-2016 We were torn between Union Station and another nearby, well-known wedding venue, and we are so glad we went with Union Station. First of all, it's been beautifully restored. It is simple and clean, and has a wonderful, historic feel to it. Second of all, the event coordinator is a true professional with a great deal of experience. He was helpful, informative, and responsive, and we never felt like we were being sold-to. I attribute much of the day's success to him.Once decided, planning the actual wedding details was really easy, again, thanks to their coordinator's experience. They held a group tasting, and we got to taste everything! He also made time to meet with us a few weeks before the wedding to help us figure out how the day should flow (we had both our ceremony and reception in their ballroom), and worked with all of our other vendors to coordinate deliveries, etc. Anytime I had a question, he responded quickly. The day of, he was there to make sure everything went according to plan. The food was amazing, the wait staff were friendly and helpful, and everything went smoothly. It was the best day in a beautiful setting, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Kaitlin Murphy(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2016 We had our rehearsal dinner at Union Station and it was fantastic. Steve was truly amazing during our planning process and went above and beyond for our event. The food was excellent, the dining room tasteful and appropriate for our dinner of 25 people, and the flexibility with personal touches was appreciated. In addition to our dinner, we had our guests meet us at Tunnel Bar and Platform Bar for a Meet & Greet. Our guests enjoyed seeing the space and visiting the Tunnel Bar (many who were from out of town). Thank you, Steve & Team, for making it a great evening! Reviewed on 07-09-2016
Lindsay D(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-08-2016 We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. Steve, Alice and the entire staff at Union Station were wonderful and took care of everything. We had a Gastby Glam theme for our wedding which was perfect in the vintage train station setting and the Tunnel Bar. We thought we had an idea of how great it would look, but on the big day the staff and venue exceeded our expectations and it truly looked, felt and was better than we had imagined. Steve was wonderful and very accessible throughout the year of our wedding plans. He helped everything be an easy decision while providing great advice. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly and all of our guests felt taken care of. When you see the venue, it speaks for itself and we were able to make a wedding package with 110 guests be very reasonable for our budget compared to other area venues. I can't say enough about how happy we were with our experience. Thank you, Union Station! Reviewed on 02-08-2016

We had a train theme which everyone loved, the venue was gorgeous, & Desiree & Megan were a delight to deal with! They were onsite ensuring everything was perfect which it was! Maria Wickett(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2015 I feel so lucky we found Union Station, and were able to get the date we wanted for our special day. If you are looking to have your reception some place different than your typical hall, than this is it! Steve was awesome to work with, and answered all of my questions and concerns in a timely manner. I planned my entire wedding out of state, and Steve completely put my mind at ease, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. He mailed me all of the info including linen samples, and was willing to work with my mother and mother-in-law who live in the area. I came into town briefly, and Steve made sure I was able to squeeze in a food tasting. The food there is incredible! Anyone can make a tasting for 6 people good, but the real test is serving 125+. All our guests raved about their meals and service. The food was delicious, hot, and no one waited for food once we were done with our first dance. Our server was very attentive, and we never were without food or a drink. The bar is larger than most others I've seen, and our guests never had to wait for a drink (we did have open bar, so it was quite busy)! What I liked best, is it is pretty much a one stop shop with their wedding packages. I didn't have to worry about finding vendors for the center pieces, cake, linens, etc. This was so beneficial especially being an out of town bride. I did have two additional vendors for a candy bar and photo booth, and Steve made sure everyone had access to the venue to be able to set up prior. Another bonus is you will be the only wedding there, and not have to share the venue unlike other places. \rI cannot say enough good things about Union Station, and would definitely recommend!
