Not enough adjectives to describe how beautiful this venue is!! It is genuinely a dream and above and beyond how I envisioned our special day. Red Wing and the Round Barn are hidden gems. The rolling hills are the perfect backdrop to your special day and Kirk and Wendy are so so easy to work with. The venue is so naturally beautiful that it requires little decoration. Additionally, there is SO much space that everyone can comfortably hangout wherever they land without feeling cramped or far away. We received SO many compliments about this venue, and rightfully so!!

Soooo many picturesque spots here! Seriously so beautiful. The bluffs in the distance of the ceremony site, the round barn, the woods, the carriage, and not to mention the perfect sunset pictures by the train tracts. So pretty!The outdoor cocktail area was perfect for mingling. Firepit(s) were a great touch too with the cooler evening.String lights in the pavilion were so perfect so I didn’t have to do much else to make it any more stunning! Not to mention the chandeliers that are gorgeous.Staff was GREAT! Kirk and Wendy (the owners) were so helpful during the whole process as well.

My experience at the Round Barn Farm was excellent! The venue was laid out perfectly and allowed for big communal moments as well as intimate. The pavilion was a great spot for the dinner, speeches and drinks and was decorated beautifully. The barn itself is one of the most unique places I’ve ever been in. It’s gorgeous on the interior and perfect for dancing and fun with family and friends.

The Round Barn Farm is an excellent wedding venue. I have attended two wedding there as a guest, and thoroughly enjoyed both weddings. One wedding was held on the front lawn with a view of the gazebo, and the second wedding was held on the back lawn with the view of the beautiful fields and bluffs. The meals that were served were delicious, the mosquitoes were not a problem, and the round barn was a delightful place to hold the wedding dance. I highly recommend this venue for your special day!

The venue is AMAZING! So many beautiful picturesque spots all in one venue. The ceremony site overlooking the bluffs is so beautiful. The pavilion for the reception is perfect with the chandeliers and sparkling lights. So much space! The barn was THE BEST for the dance! How fun to look down at the couple dancing in the middle of twinkling lights! The upper deck of the barn was so fun for the dance. Great atmosphere for dancing! The owners were awesome and so helpful. Staff was great too! Can’t recommend it enough!

My wife and I got married here on September 17th and had an incredible wedding day at the Round Barn Farm! From the time we toured to the wedding day, communication with our event director was good and the day itself went smooth. We absolutely loved the ceremony location with views of the beautiful bluffs in the background. We did happen to have a train drive by mid-ceremony; some may not appreciate that as much but we enjoyed it and it turned out to be a big talking point for our guests. After the ceremony, the reception pavilion was a perfect space for dinner, and dancing in the barn to end the day was a blast. We have nothing but amazing memories from our special wedding day at the Round Barn Farm!

We got married here in September and the venue couldn’t have been any more perfect. Everything was absolutely gorgeous, and our guests utilized every part of the venue from the dance floor to the fire area and the seating area outside of the dinner space. Everyone we interacted with was very professional and helpful and promptly answered any questions we had. Staying at the air b&b afterwards was super convenient and comfortable. We’re so happy that we decided to choose round barn!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I would recommend this wedding venue to everyone I possibly could. Wendy, Kirk, and their staff made our wedding dreams come true. From the minute we toured this venue we knew there was something special about it and we needed to have our wedding there. They were amazing with communication throughout the entire planning process and answered every question we had. We chose the Thursday/Friday package and they were incredibly helpful with our rehearsal and wedding day. The venue was spectacular and our guests were amazed with the beauty of each space. We got so many compliments on it!! Not only that, but the bed and breakfast was to die for. Sleeping there with my bridesmaids the night before will be a memory I cherish forever. The grab and go breakfast was DELICIOUS, the getting ready spaces were perfect, and the honeymoon suite the night of was everything we could've asked for and more. Our wedding exceeded our expectations and we owe so much of it to The Round Barn Farm and all the staff. Of note, the whether drastically changed a few days before our wedding and on our wedding day, it was a grand ol' 40 degrees as the high. I had a strapless dress and no jacket but let me tell you, the pavilion has heaters and after the outdoor ceremony, I (and all of our guests) was NEVER once cold!!!! If you're debating a fall wedding here, brave the 30 minute cold ceremony because the indoor spaces beforehand and the heated pavilion and barn afterward keep you nice and warm and it's 100% worth it!!!

Amazing wedding day! Our guests keep telling us we had the best wedding! Setting is so beautiful, people love seeing the historic barn, so many compliments on the food. The outdoor bluff setting for our ceremony could not be more scenic. The getting ready spaces are perfectly done. Wendy and Kirk are delightful and made our wedding day go smoothly. As MOB I felt confident and was able to relax and enjoy all the amenities this venue has to offer. The DJ kept the dance floor full all night. Our guests were all smiling, laughing and having a great time. So many special spots for photos! FYI people loved coming to historic Red Wing for our wedding. It added a special touch being in such a beloved river town. We all feel so happy when we think about our day at the Round Barn. It was perfect in every way!

I can't say enough about our wedding at the Round Barn Farm this fall. It was beyond perfect. It was the second venue in the Red Wing area we had toured, and afterwards we cancelled the next two because we knew this was the one. The RBF team is so fantastic as you plan out the best day of your life. Every question we submitted in the months of planning was responded to so quick. It was so beautiful we didn't even decorate much of anything. Kirk and Wendy are gracious hosts and the bed and breakfast attached makes it all that much easier for your big day. I highly recommend a live band. We did so and the barn came alive that night. I can't say enough about our wedding at the Round Barn Farm this fall. It was beyond perfect. It was the second venue in the Red Wing area we had toured, and afterwards we cancelled the next two because we knew this was the one. The RBF team is so fantastic as you plan out the best day of your life. Every question we submitted in the months of planning was responded to so quick. It was so beautiful we didn't even decorate much of anything. Kirk and Wendy are gracious hosts and the bed and breakfast attached makes it all that much easier for your big day. I highly recommend a live band. We did so and the barn came alive that night. The scenic Round Barn Farm is truly the perfect wedding venue nestled in the Mississippi river valley. The wooded bluffs and prairie surround you and your guests with natures beauty. EVERYONE is wowed by the historic Round Barn. From the moment we started planning the wedding at Round Barn Farm, I knew we were in good hands. On our wedding day, Wendy, Kirk and their hard working staff took great care of us. As the bride, it was important to me that not only I felt a sense of peace during the day, but that my mother and family could also be fully present with us and enjoy all the moments of the day. I completely trusted our vendors to make our day amazing and they didn’t disappoint! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We received so many compliments. Our talented DJ, Greg Ellis, kept the party going and dance floor full all night long. Such a bonus to having the charming B&B as part of the venue. The ladies get ready room was inside the B&B. It is a striking space with great light and plenty of mirrors. Our bridal party spent the night at the B&B and got to enjoy the beautifully decorated, spacious and super comfortable rooms. I could write an entire review just telling you about all the stunning backdrops for our wedding photos. We loved our wedding and all our guests loved our wedding. Doesn’t get better than that. We feel so lucky to have chosen such a wonderful venue!

This was an amazing venue! We got married on 9/9/2022. The staff was on-point, reasonable, and happy to help with any questions. It rained during our ceremony, so we did our ceremony in the pavilion instead of the outdoor area and it was still very beautiful. The round barn dance area was amazing for first dance photos, and the upstairs was a great place for the DJ. I was worried it was too small of a space with the circular railing in the middle, but it ended up being perfect and really added to the ambiance. There are plenty of areas around the venue overall that are fantastic for photos as well with the Red Wing bluffs in the background. There were plenty of power outlets in the pavilion available for catering or whatever you needed them for. There was a \"man cave\" available for the groom's party to get ready but with a big party of 13, we moved to the lower level of the farmhouse which included a porch and it was plenty of space for everyone to get ready in.The rooms were spacious for the bride and bridesmaids to stay in the night before and get ready in as well. The back area of the barn has a few fire pits and string lights over the top as well, which was great if people needed some place outside to cool off. Would definitely recommend going through their preferred Bus vendor through Broz Bus. The owner Jason was super easy to work with, and the driver Mike, made sure everyone got to where they were going safely, and even stayed out for people at the afterparty and made sure they got home. He took them directly to where they were staying. Not to mention, at a very reasonable price. Could not recommend this place enough!

The outdoor ceremony site overlooks rolling hills with a stand of pine trees along the side. We hid the bride and her father behind closed doors at the back of the site. After the bridal party entered, staff opened the doors to reveal the bride, and the guests gasped at her magical appearance. The venue is so beautifully adorned that only a few decorations are needed. Kirk and Wendy, along with their staff, were available and incredibly easy to work with. The planning process was easy. On wedding day, the groom's grandfather needed a bit of help navigating the farm. Jackie, the coordinator, was always available with the golf cart to get him where he needed to be - a huge relief. The bride's room was perfect for getting all of the girls ready in a bright and roomy space. The Man Cave allowed the guys their own space to get ready and hang out. Access to the living room and dining room in the house gave another space for us to set out some food for the wedding party and for grandparents to sit before and between photos. The photographer was in heaven. There are so many options for fabulous outdoor pictures in any range of lighting. Our vendors had an easy time working in the spaces and with the staff. Our guests RAVED about the venue. I cannot tell you how many compliments we got! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Overall, the Round Barn Farm was AMAZING for our wedding. They were always responsive as we were planning and sending random questions over the last year. Then on the big day, we had an absolute downpour which they helped us navigate beautifully. Their venue is gorgeous and the owners and venue managers are so friendly and accommodating. The only thing I would have appreciated; we received some super informative emails in the week leading up to the wedding that detailed things such as times that getting ready rooms need to be emptied, etc. I totally understand sending those close to the date as a reminder, but they would have been super helpful in planning/coordinating with the wedding party early on. Other than that, I loved every aspect of having our wedding at The Round Barn Farm.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding held at the Round Barn & it was the perfect setting for a beautiful day and wedding! The bridal party was able to get ready in the bridal suite which had enough mirrors and lights for the large party of 12! The staff was so friendly and attentive the day went off without a hitch. The grounds was beautiful & so well taken care of, I can go on and on about things I loved! I would highly recommend this venue to any of my friends!! A bonus is the drive to the venue from the twin cities was so scenic!

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding held at the Round Barn & it was the perfect setting for a beautiful day and wedding! The bridal party was able to get ready in the bridal suite which had enough mirrors and lights for the large party of 12! The staff was so friendly and attentive the day went off without a hitch. The grounds was beautiful & so well taken care of, I can go on and on about things I loved! I would highly recommend this venue to any of my friends!! A bonus is the drive to the venue from the twin cities was so scenic!

My wife and I got married here in October of 2021 and can’t say enough about how much we loved this venue. From our stay at the BnB to the grooms dinner to the wedding itself. It was all absolutely perfect. Beyond the absolutely beautiful location, the service we received was awesome. Kirk was super helpful when needed, and made a hell of a breakfast. 10/10 would recommend!

My wife and I got married here in October of 2021 and can’t say enough about how much we loved this venue. From our stay at the BnB to the grooms dinner to the wedding itself. It was all absolutely perfect. Beyond the absolutely beautiful location, the service we received was awesome. Kirk was super helpful when needed, and made a hell of a breakfast. 10/10 would recommend!

BEST DAY EVER! We had the most beautiful wedding at The Round Barn Farm! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Kirk and Wendy and the rest of the staff were wonderful and easy to work with. The venue was everything promised and then some. It was clean, perfectly set up, beautiful, and on and on. Can’t say enough good things.Our stress level was 0/10 with how organized and ready they were for us. We had the most amazing wedding at the Round barn! We chose a fall date so we had the most beautiful colors on the rolling hills and bluffs. Kirk and Wendy are so great to work with. Having a room at the B&B the night of our wedding made the day so special and last a little longer than just one day! Absolute beautiful venue all around. Guests were so impressed with how gorgeous it was and loved how the dancing and dinner spaces were separated. 10/10 recommend the Round barn for your wedding!

One word - STUNNING. There are so many unique touches and beautiful spaces on this property. Truly a one-of-a-kind venue. We got married here in August and couldn't be happier. Kirk & Wendy are a killer duo who make dreams come true. We received so many compliments on the venue space and had no doubts our guests enjoyed every minute including the ease of having all of the events on one property. The B&B is a reason on it's own to book here, it is so cozy and convenient. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud and every touch is so thoughtful, I look forward our anniversary just to stay here again.

Thanks to Kirk and Wendy and the staff at the Round Barn, we had the BEST wedding day ever!!!!! It was so perfect. There is so much scenery at their venue. So many different places to get amazing photos. The background at the ceremony site is seriously jaw-dropping. We are so blessed that we were able to celebrate and have our wedding at the Round Barn Farm. The owners Kirk and Wendy were amazing hosts and are such kind people. We loved every second of our wedding day. We had our reception in their pavilion and it was beautiful. We then had our dance in the round barn beneath twinkle lights and it was perfect. I would encourage anyone and everyone to get married here. The amount of people who said how beautiful the place was and how great the property was was a lot! It was amazing. Fantastic venue with fantastic hosts! Beautiful setting in Red Wing on a farm that looks old and rustic in the best way but feels new. Great outdoor setting for a wedding with a covered area in case of rain that still looks beautiful. Barn serves as the entertainment area for the band; the upper level is perfect for dancing while the lower level is a great spot for food and drinks for those who want to escape. Willing to customize arrangements for you. It was everything we needed and more to have the best day of our lives and the hosts do everything they can to make it happen for you!

Wendy and Kirk are great to work with! They were wonderful about answering my may questions and being in constant communication with me (we had a very long engagement). We toured this venue on a whim that they were more than flexible to handle, and booked it the next day! The grounds are the perfect place to get married. There is lots of space for guests to walk around and do the things they like. The great part was once we got there, we never had to leave! From arrival the morning of the wedding to leaving the day after the team was more than attentive to our needs. They also blended in so well, you would almost not even know they were there! We loved how convenient it was to have everything in one place- getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, photos, reception, and even a lovely place to spend the night! Early June made for a GORGEOUS green and flowery venue nestled between the bluffs. Our guests were comfortable during the entire event, the venue staff were attentive, knowledgable and went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our wedding day was exactly what we wanted! I felt like I was their only client as I felt like all of their energy and attention was focused on our big day! The vendors are easy to work with and the place is beautiful as-is so it doesn’t take much effort to host a perfect event in this space! Everything was very professional, timely, and wonderful!

Kirk and Wendy were wonderful to work with both prior to the wedding and on the day of. We felt so welcome at the Inn. The day was seamless- RBF had a day-of site manager greet us as we arrived and she helped us prepare everything. Attention to detail was so helpful- Kirk was there to drive my Grandmother to the ceremony meadow so that she didn't need to walk uphill and Wendy even helped me carry my dress and open the doors to the meadow at the start of the ceremony. We utilized vendors recommended by the RBF (catering: Distinctive Catering, Flowers: Clementine, DJ: Adagio). We couldn't be happier with all of these vendors. The day ran so smoothly- all had a wonderful time and we ended up with day that was better than we could have imagined.

The Round Barn was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding. The many gathering spots on the farm provided a variety of spaces for the guests to spread out and have conversation in sunshine or shade. It was the first time to Minnesota and the midwest for many of the guests All the preferred vendors came through to make the day special. Best. Day. Ever.The first day we saw the Round Barn property in person, we knew we wanted to be married there. It's absolutely gorgeous. A classy bed and breakfast venue, a rustic touch with the actual barn (so much fun for our dance party), a brand new pavilion (the nicest I've ever seen) which was perfect for our dinner reception. The pavilion is long enough to actual use a section for the cocktail hour and the rest for dinner tables, which are hand made by Kirk, one of the owners of the Round Barn! They are beautiful long wooden tables with wooden chairs. I knew as soon as we booked that I would be able to do all the planning and decorating myself (with some hands from family/friends) because the venue was exactly what I had dreamed of on it's own- it hardly needs any decorating! Even the dinner tables are so gorgeous, they didn't need much at all for centerpieces. We kept it simple- that's all you need to do at the Round Barn, it speaks for itself if you can pay it a visit.One of my favorite things was staying at the B & B after our perfect day. We stayed in the honeymoon suite of course, and then had 4 more rooms to give to our chosen family/friends. We all got to see each other for breakfast and re live the day before, not to mention breakfast was to die for. It was three courses of pure heaven and so good to enjoy that with our parents after such an important day.Kirk and Wendy were fantastic to work with, extremely organized and remembered us every time we met with them though I know they had a lot of weddings happening this year. They are kind, personable, helpful, punctual and professional. They will answer any questions you have usually same day or the next business day. (obviously their weekends are full of weddings)It was amazing to be married at a family owned/family run venue. They truly cared about each detail and were there with us every step of the way, that's hard to find! Wendy even walked with me and my Dad when ceremony time came around, to show us a path where the groom wouldn't see me coming until appropriate. They have family helping out with set up and tear down, they hire a security guard for every wedding which was surprisingly comforting!I'd recommend them to everyone I know, even if you don't marry here, go stay at their B & B! They make an AMAZING breakfast, and their themed rooms are each in their own way just beautifully thought out and executed. They were incredibly patient with our at times rowdy crowd and our day was absolutely magically. They responded quickly to my texts and emails and were totally ready to go when we arrived the day of to setup! One suggestion i would make to the Round Barn is to move the fire pit to a more accessible location. One of the main reasons we picked this location was to have the bon fire but in the end no one really hung out there because it was a little tucked back in a corner! I'm sure that's a safety thing :) Highly recommend this venue!!! Make sure that if you are booking in Red Wing to work with hotels to get room blocks and transportation setup well in advance!

I had an amazing stay at the Round Barn Farm. The owners were amazingly hospitable and even catered to my dietary needs as I have a Gluten Allergy. The rooms are huge and each come with a whirlpool big enough for two. The beds are extremely comfortable and each room came with it's own thermostat so I could make it to my preference. This site also has a wedding venue that allows you to create the wedding that you want with a very scenic back drop. I will definitely have them on my short list of venues when I get married.

The bridal getting ready room is breathtaking and my hair and make up people loved it!! I was even able to get a recommendation for a family business that brought horses to my wedding to ride! Literal dream come true in every way. It rained the morning of our wedding but there were still so many gorgeous pictures we took in the house and barn. I could not recommend this place enough!!! Everyone LOVED it!!

I grew up just a few miles from the Round Barn and knew I wanted to share the beauty of the area with all of our friends and family. Unfortunately, the previous owners had stopped holding weddings there - plus, in its former state it wasn't really what we were looking for. Lucky for us, Kirk and Wendy have really turned it around! First off, the bridal suite and B&B is included, which is fantastic for getting ready (and for sleeping that night). The bridal suite has 3 large mirrors, couches, plenty of room for drinks and dresses, and a chandelier! I had 9 bridesmaids, 1 personal attendant, my mom, a hair stylist, makeup artist, and myself in the room all day and we were perfectly comfortable. The ceremony site is breathtaking, as you can see from the photos, with the beautiful Mississippi River Valley behind and bluffs for miles. The lawn is a perfect location for cocktails, and photos with lots of large trees and flowers. The chandelier and Edison-Bulb-lit pavilion for dinner was an absolute must on our 98 degree (with 75% humidity) day; thank the Lord there are ceiling fans in there. We had a bar, our dessert table, gift area, and 2 buffet lines, as well as seating for 275 guests and our head table. It's a big pavilion! We made half of the barn a seating area for guests who didn't want to dance but wanted to enjoy the festivities, while the other side was a heck of a dance floor. Outside the back of the barn is a great area for popping up an additional bar and hosts a fire pit. It was a magical night - thank you for helping bring our dreams to life, Round Barn!!

We had our wedding at The Round Barn Farm B & B Event Center, and it was everything we dreamed and more. We had the ceremony on-site near the gazebo, lawn games/cocktail hour before dinner on the grounds, dinner in the pavilion, and the dance (with a live band) in the Round Barn...acoustics were awesome. We heard so many compliments from our guests about the venue, including how beautiful and unique it was. My husband and I wanted something more laid back, but still special and welcoming, and we definitely were so pleased with the results. We were the first wedding with the new owners, Kirk and Wendy, and they were absolutely great to work with. There were some last minute items (due to weather) that had to come together, and they delivered with what was in their hands. Our families stayed both Friday and Saturday night at the B & B as well, and the rooms were gorgeous, and the food was so delicious! We would definitely recommend the Round Barn to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue or just to get away for a weekend!

Kirk & Wendy Stensrud (Owner) Kirk & Wendy Stensrud, the proud owners of Round Barn Farm B & B Event center, want to welcome you to their beautiful homestead. They have been married for 32 years and highly value each other, their family and their faith. While Kirk has spent the majority of his career in sales and small business, Wendy has been a nurse and mother.
