Cannot say high enough praises! From Sue to Beth the coordinator, every single person was a pleasure to work with! It is an incredibly beautiful location, and with the additional of the outdoor bar and bridal suite the perfect place to get married. They made our day the absolute greatest! Would highly recommend! My husband and I were married on June 17th at the Sagamore Inn and it was beyond perfect! Although we didn’t luck out with the weather, we sure did luck out with the amazing wedding venue and staff that the Sagamore Inn has to offer. Our ceremony and reception took place under the dreamy Canalside Pavilion tent. The tent was dazzled with lights and the open back drop to the pond fountain was stunning. The staff and restaurant owners truly went above and beyond to ensure our night was perfect. Beth, the restaurant wedding coordinator, was incredible. Beth worked with us every step of the way to ensure our wedding vision came true. She is attentive to detail, creative, and truly experienced in wedding planning. Overall, the Sagamore Inn/Canalside Pavilion is the most perfect place to have a wedding ceremony and reception. The food was excellent, the outdoor bar is a party pleaser, the staff are kind and attentive, and the venue is gorgeous rain or shine! Reviewed on 24-06-2023

Overall experience:We can’t say enough good things about our experience at the Sagamore Inn. We got married in May of 2023 and it rained off and on the whole day, by dinner time it was down-pouring. Despite the weather, and even because of the weather it was the most amazing wedding we ever could have imagined! Due to the entire ceremony and reception taking place outside/in the tent rain was something we definitely worried about, but the whole staff at Sagamore inn was proactive and set up the ceremony inside the tent and we were still able to have the beautiful backdrop of the coy pond & garden. They also helped the DJ keep their equipment dry and everything running smoothly. The Food: The food was absolutely incredible. We had the slow roasted beef tenderloin and the pistachio encrusted salmon. The amount of guests who texted us the next day saying it was the best beef they’ve ever had, made us feel so great. People raved about the lemon sauce with the salmon as well. Truly we’ve never had better food at a wedding. The chef also made a vegan pasta option for vegan/vegetarian guests which was also adored. Event planners: Our event planners Beth and Jenna were so kind, bubbly and organized. Them being a family-owned business it definitely felt like they genuinely cared about making this the best day for us and they paid attention to all the small details so we didn’t have to worry about them. They even kept our cake in their fridge overnight because we forgot it at the end of the reception and we were able to pick it up the next morning. The location:The location is also perfect for guests. All our guests who chose to stay the whole weekend or just the wedding night stayed at the Sandwich Lodge which is less than 5 min up the road. We had transportation transport our guests to and from the wedding. The after party was at the Local which was right next to the Sandwich Lodge so people could walk back to their rooms. The one thing we wish was different was the dress rehearsal. Since there was a wedding Friday night we didn’t get to do a full “dress rehearsal” with our whole wedding party. Our wedding party was small so it made it easy to figure out, but we definitely would have liked to have had a proper dress rehearsal. Even without it though, Jenna met with us Friday morning to give us a rundown of what to expect and organize final touches. We would highly recommend getting married here. All the staff we worked with were so accommodating and genuine, and the location was perfect for families to gather and enjoy a wedding weekend down the cape. And seriously, best food ever!!! Kimberly Hillman(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-08-2023 The venue itself is beautiful! The tent is massive and the grounds are amazing. We really wanted to have our wedding here! The main event planner, Quinn, had a family emergency and wasn't able to meet with us for our tour. She had another staff member, Laura, fill in for her. Laura was like talking to a wall. No enthusiasm, little to no knowledge of anything and it was awkward just standing there hoping she would talk or at least attempt to sell us on the venue.Following the visit I checked in with Quinn to see how she was doing and to ask more about the venue- linen selections, etc. I never heard back. I messaged multiple times. We would have loved to book with them, but the customer service was beyond disappointing. Reviewed on 06-06-2022
Kayla Wesson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-08-2020 The Sagamore Inn is an amazing wedding venue on Cape Cod! My husband and I had to change our entire wedding plans one month before our date due to COVID. We found the Sagamore Inn and fell in love instantly. It had everything we were looking for. We were able to have a beautiful ceremony right by the pond and then our guests enjoyed cocktail hour and their meals under a gorgeous tent. They were able to accommodate our entire wedding to make sure it was safe for our guests and that it followed COVID guidelines. Beth was amazing at staying in contact with us and answering our many many emails. Our guests have been RAVING about what an amazing venue and wedding it was. The service for drinks and food was exceptional. Everything ran so smooth! We just want to thank all of the staff at the Sagamore Inn for making our wedding day truly the best day ever! Ashley Fagnant(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-06-2019 I had my parents 25th wedding anniversary party here and it was the best that I could ever expect. We had a ranging number of guests coming and going but everything went perfect. It was under the tent and it was a beautiful day. But when it got colder at night, they had the solution right away and put up the sides. The food was a lovely buffet. I got compliments for weeks about it. We had a dance floor with a DJ. And we got to dance the night away. They had an option of an outside bar which was perfect so we didn’t have to walk inside. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I was very happy to host our event here and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great function spot! Reviewed on 30-06-2019
The original Sagamore Inn was built in 1900 along the old road to Provincetown, located further east on Route 6A next to Knowlton’s Auto Salvage. It burned down in 1930. The Sandwich Independent newspaper chronicled that the town’s efforts had failed to save the Inn. The New Bedford Standard Times took the town to task for not having enough pumpers and hydrants to handle the blaze.Later in the 1930’s, the new Inn was constructed and became a local landmark for many. In 2009, the restaurant was sold to locals, Michael and Suzanne Bilodeau, who continue the legacy of the restaurant today.
