My goodness, this venue is GORGEOUS! Within minutes of stepping into this space, we fell in love with the architecture and romantic aesthetic. Even more, the team is just so so sweet! They've answered all our questions promptly, took care of all the details, and made wedding planning so enjoyable. My favorite part? The location. It's in a nice spot of downtown Long Beach with close proximity to restaurants, shops and the waterfront! I just can't thank everyone at The Sanctuary enough for making our day extra special!

My husband and I feel so fortunate to have celebrated our wedding at The Sanctuary by Wedgewood Weddings. From the moment we first toured the stunning historic chapel and grounds, we knew this hidden gem was the perfect place to host our special day.The intimate courtyard provided a charming spot for our cocktail hour under the stars. Guests loved mingling with drinks in hand surrounded by the chapel walls and twinkling lights. For the ceremony, we adored the elaborate cathedral chapel with its soaring ceilings, ornate woodwork, and vibrant stained glass. It felt so magical saying our vows surrounded by that beauty.Our reception in the grand hall was absolutely gorgeous too - the high ceilings, chandeliers, and built-in stage gave it an elegant yet warm vibe. Our meals from the catering team were raved about by all our guests. Many also commented on how wonderfully everything flowed thanks to our coordinator's expertise.From helping us customize options to providing flawless execution, the Wedgewood team exceeded our expectations. We're so thankful we found this hidden gem to host the wedding of our dreams. The Sanctuary's vintage details and charm paired with Wedgewood's top-notch service gave us a fairy tale experience we'll always cherish. We were married at The Sanctuary in December of 2023, and we could not have asked for a better wedding! The entire staff was amazing, literally every single person we met or worked with. Our guests raved about how great DJ Gio was, and claimed the dinner was the best food they ever had at a wedding (it was! We actually got to eat at our wedding!) Our coordinator Olivia and the entire team were incredibly professional, kind, and knew just what to do to make our wedding the best day ever. My husband and I thought it was so fun when we were handed our drink of choice, margaritas, and brought hors d'oeuvres immediately after our ceremony ended to enjoy for a moment together before starting pictures. Going with The Sanctuary was the most cost-effective and stress-free option for us and we highly recommend them to anyone getting married! The vendors they provide as part of your package are the way to go, especially DJ Gio, Torrance Bakery, Little Blue Hummingbird Florist, and their chef/catering team! We are so thankful to the team at The Sanctuary for making this day the best day of our lives!Love, The Websters

The Sanctuary is a gorgeous venue for a wedding. The white-painted walls, elegant arches, and gorgeous stained glass throughout are a wonderful blend of style, elegance, class, and simplicity. We (and our guests) loved the ability to have distinct, on-site spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and the space has a nice flow to it. The courtyard is magical in the evening with the string lights and a quiet retreat from the boisterous dance floor for guests. The layout and construction of the venue also feel like a retreat or oasis tucked away right in the heart of Long Beach--it's another world past the gates. Dedicated, guarded parking on the same block is a huge plus!My wife and I really valued the bundles and flexibility offered by Wedgewood. Wedding planning can be overwhelming with each small detail a potential infinity of research, options, and vendors. The Sanctuary allowed us to flexibly opt in and out of different packages, which dramatically simplified our planning process without feeling like we couldn't make the day personal to us. The options available, but also the possibility of changing our minds on details so close to the day of the wedding gave us much peace of mind. However, what really sold us on the Sanctuary was Annie, who spearheaded our visit and experience from day one with support from Kevin and Sarah. Annie was bubbly, personable, and made us feel that we were in good, competent hands that cared about our day being wonderful and fitted to who we are and our love story. She, Kevin, and Sarah throughout were so welcoming, happy to see us, supportive, and available to answer our questions. It was surely Annie who sold us on the space, and then in collaboration with Kevin and Sarah kept us unworried and confident in the six months leading up to our big day and afterwards.Olivia and Samantha did a phenomenal job as our day-of coordinator and banquet captain--neither my wife nor I had to take care of anything day-of--everything went so smoothly! And Fredy was a fantastic DJ. He gave us gentle nudges when we needed to start dancing before the photographers left, was kind and friendly throughout, and left the room for our private last dance, which was such a nice touch.Our guests over and over had such lovely things to say about the venue, food, and staff. Thank you so much for helping us make our special day so painless, beautiful, and, well, special.
