Where do I begin? My wife and I found The Secret Garden after browsing venues in early 2020 with the idea that we were going to have our wedding at the end of the year. We knew nothing about the venue and just decided to check it out. After having a meeting with Christian and seeing the venue for ourselves, we instantly fell in love with not just the ambience, but the flexibility, options, inclusive vendor options, and pricing! We booked it almost immediately after that and did not regret a single moment thereafter. Julie, Christian, and the rest of the team were a delight to work with. They were responsive, answered all of our questions, and were so accommodating to all of our requests/needs. The venue is \"all-inclusive,\" but whenever we decided to change out a vendor or an option, they were happy to oblige and work with us. Not once did we feel pressured or upsold to one of their choices just because we \"had to.\" Of course the pandemic hit last year, which pushed our wedding all the way back to just a few weeks ago, but whenever we had questions, reaching out to Julie, Mary, or any one else at the team just required a simple email, and they were sure to respond. Fast forward to the actual wedding day, all of the requests, decorations, and plans we had made: decor, flower arrangements, etc. were all perfect. We couldn't have asked for a more smooth wedding day and process, and we have everyone at the Secret Garden to thank for a near-perfect day! The only down-side is that Julie and Christian couldn't attend our wedding. After years of communication, I felt like they they definitely should have been apart of our day! :D Big shoutout to Jerri, Jazmine, DJ Michael, and the rest of the amazing crew for making our wedding day so memorable!

Epic Events made our wedding dreams come true! The entire team - from the wedding coordinators to the photographers - was easily accessible for questions and meetings, flexible and patient with our plans, detail-oriented with our decor requests, and highly organized with coordinating timelines and arrangements with our vendors. Everyone was warm, light-hearted, and calm, which made us feel so comfortable throughout the process. Simply put, they made our entire experience in planning our wedding enjoyable and stress-free, and we cannot thank them enough!

We loved working with the Secret Garden. They were so easy to collaborate with and the value of time and service they provided was superb. The guided us through the WHOLE process and helped us cover any details we missed. We worked with the included coordinator, photographer, and DJ. It felt like they were our tour guides, leading us through our wedding day, while they seamlessly and subtly worked to keep the event running behind the scenes. I (the bride) even missed my own rehearsal and they were still able to deliver. Thank you Mary, Laura, and team!

If you're thinking about having your wedding here - DO IT. Our wedding was on 9/3/23. I can't say enough fantastic things about this venue. From the start they were wonderful with communication and not overselling/pressuring us. We loved that this venue included so many things in their pricing (Photos, photobooth, dj, tables, decor etc) & we even loved their recommended food & floral vendors. Having a venue that had so much included made the process that much easier, &less to keep track of! At the venue, you'll work with epic events & they were amazing as well!Planning a wedding can obviously be overwhelming, but throughout the whole process we worked with Laura who was an angel and our day of coordinator. We had a couple of in person meetings with her so we could discuss the set up, decorations, etc. She helped answer any&all questions we had. She walked us through everything that we needed to know/do. We also looked through different photos from past events so we could get some ideas for what we wanted. We loved her! She was fun & professional - during our rehearsal the day before, she was able to help our wedding party figure out what would happen the next day. We also dropped off extra decor etc that morning &went over the items with her. We found this part extremely helpful! The day of the wedding, I walked in and she gave me a huge hug. She was so excited for us &I just knew she was going to make sure everything would go smoothly. The venue itself is gorgeous!The outside ceremony area was able to easily fit our 160 guest wedding. I was unsure at first because it can be hard to visualize without those people there, but there was PLENTY of room for everyone. The garden setting makes for a beautiful background and there's a nearby golf course and library they utilize for photos. The thing that sold me on the venue was the hoop in the garden, even without flowers it is so beautiful. We had so many guests take photos with the hoop, ourselves included. The whole reception area feels so elegant with the draped curtains, wooden floors, fireplace, and stage. Our guests loved the stage area that we opted to turn into a lounge area using the furniture from the bridal suite. The bridal suite is cozy & has a private bathroom. It's recommended you get ready somewhere else and then you can do robe photos, etc in the bridal suite & getting ready photos. We loved having a dedicated area for all of our things during the wedding & I loved having a bathroom to myself! The \"grooms suite\" doubles as a suite then later on a hallway/lounge area to the bathrooms. Don't be swayed by this - they really utilize the space well and we all know the groomsmen don't do much before the wedding anyway LOL. We also liked that the photobooth pictures were digital - it sent the pictures to your phone/email. We got a copy of all the photobooth pictures so if they didn't go through to some people we were able to send it to them! We did bring our own photobooth props because we wanted more than what they had at the venue. We cannot say enough great things about this venue. If I were to do my wedding all over, I'd still do it here. We have gotten so much feedback from our guests about how much fun they had&how every vendor they interacted with was SO nice & how everything seemed to run so smoothly. We simply could not have done it without this perfect venue. It really did feel like they were rooting for us & wanted us to have the most magical day, which we did.

The Secret Garden made our planning process easy and made our wedding day the best day ever. They were always super responsive. From the beginning of our journey together they took on all our stress, carried it away, and corrected whatever needed to be corrected to change our stress to joy and excitement. When they accidentally missed our email and took a week to reply they profusely apologized and generously gifted us a wedding day service. From the moment we met Julie we knew she would never let us down and would do everything to make our wedding day vision come true. She introduced us to Jerri Disney, our florist. Jerri embraced us fully and we were so lucky that she shared her special talent with us to bring beautiful, natural decoration and color to our wedding day. She has a unique talent for listening to nondescript explanations and pull-out key, common words to make your imagination come to life in your floral arrangements. She was always so honest and flexible to make what we wanted work for the budget we put forward at the beginning. We were then so, so lucky to be paired with our wedding planner, Laura. Laura was our wedding everything fairy godmother—she made all our dreams come true and worked so hard to make sure everything went smoothly throughout the whole planning process, day, night, and time after. No request was ever too much, and she always had an answer to how we could make it all happen and a suggestion to how we could make it work with ease. We had the best experience at the Secret Garden! The venue is stunning and everyone in the Epic Events Group and all the recommended vendors are so talented and easy to work with. We anticipated wedding planning to be stressful, but it never was! We were lucky enough to work with (1) Laura as our day of coordinator, (2) Kristina, Brian, Allie, and Kolya as our photography and videography team, (3) Jerri as our florist/ designer, (4) Curt Owen as our DJ, and (5) Annalisa and Jaycee via Personal Touch Dining as our caterers. Everyone was so professional, talented, accommodating, and experienced, it made the entire planning process easy and fun. Laura seamlessly managed our timeline and the many details of our large wedding with such grace and positivity (she is incredible and on top of everything!), our photography and videography teams are so creative and talented and absolute gems to work -- they captured the sweetest moments and brought the best energy, Jerri thoughtfully designed beautiful florals and decorations, DJ Curt played the best songs and had everyone dancing all night, and our food was absolutely delicious and so easy to plan out with Annalisa and Jaycee. We could not have had a better experience. We were in such good hands, we were able to just relax and enjoy our wedding day! Highly recommend the secret garden venue and working with Laura, Kristina, Brian, Allie, Kolya, Curt Owen, Annalisa, and Jaycee! They are all so sweet, experienced, and talented!

My husband and I had a great experience at the Secret Garden! The venue itself is beautiful and had a big enough space to accommodate our 200+ wedding party! The team is very easy to work with and are great communicators. They are an all-inclusive venue, but was still able to accommodate our special request. For example, we wanted to utilize an asian-family style dinner and they were the ones that gave us a wonderful recommendation! My husband and I have no regrets having our wedding reception at the Secret Garden.

The Secret Garden was the perfect place for our wedding in March 2023. We loved the location, the garden, and most of all the ballroom. We were so impressed by the coordination team during our initial tour, our first meeting, and then the final meeting to wrap up any loose ends. They are responsive, creative, and really make you feel special throughout the process. It's clear they have a ton of experience and expertise, we never worried about anything. We kept an eye on the weather all week, and while it ended up raining on our big day, the team took every advantage to turn it into a magical experience. They also transferred the entire ceremony space from outside in the garden to the indoor ballroom so quickly and it was gorgeous. Special shoutout to Laura, our coordinator, for being the MVP and keeping the day running smoothly!

We feel so lucky to have found The Secret Garden for our wedding venue! It was truly perfect for my now husband and I, from start to finish. Working with Epics Events was everything you could want in the wedding planning process. The level of professionalism and awareness of each of our vendors really blew us away. They understood our vision and executed beyond expectations. Our coordinator, Laura, was so talented and warm. We loved her. The photography, Epic Events Studios (Kristina & Tammy), absolutely knocked it out of the park--stunning photos, captured every moment, made us comfortable behind the camera, kept to an unforgiving timeline. The DJ, Shaun Blaze, kept the party rocking the whole time--the dance floor was packed. For Florals, Jerry stuck to our humble requests and still made the most beautiful, unforgettable florals. And for catering we used the preferred Eco Caterers--Christine was on point her recommendations and level of communication were simply amazing. The food was SO BOMB. Could've gone for a bit more food if we did it again! Loved every moment. Thank you so much Secret Garden!!

Two words breathing taking ! The secret garden is truly a beautiful venue inside and out ! And their amazing team not only exceed our expectations, but created our dream wedding into reality! They were able to incorporate our love for Lego and disney in the most romantic way. We were overjoyed by the love and support we had since day one of planning our wedding to our actual wedding day ! Shout to our amazing coordinator Laura and florist Jerri for creating magic and memories for me, my groom and our guest. Which we will treasure for the rest of our lives! And to our amazing photographer Brittanee for capturing those beautiful moments! Two words breathing taking ! The secret garden is truly a beautiful venue inside and out ! And their amazing team not only exceed our expectations, but created our dream wedding into reality! They were able to incorporate our love for Lego and disney in the most romantic way. We were overjoyed by the love and support we had since day one of planning our wedding to our actual wedding day ! The Secret Garden is a stunning venue (both outdoors and in!) with an incredibly kind, detail-oriented, and down-to-earth team. My husband and I just celebrated our wedding there in February 2023 and, from start to finish, we could not have been happier with our experience. The venue itself is spacious, but feels peaceful and intimate. We held our wedding ceremony in the garden, which was absolutely beautiful. Our guests also enjoyed exploring, taking photos, and playing lawn games on the grounds during cocktail hour. The indoor reception space is also ample and lovely, particularly once decorated and filled with loved ones. The fact that the Secret Garden has both an indoor and covered, outdoor patio on the property also provided reassurance that our wedding day wouldn't have to be compromised in the event of rainy weather. The wedding package offered by the Secret Garden is pretty much all-inclusive and top notch in terms of quality and care. The caterer, photographer, DJ, bar tender, service staff, as well as the wedding coordination team took time to understand our vision for our wedding day, offered thoughtful and creative ideas, and went above and beyond to make the planning process as well as our big day went off without a hitch. In the months leading up to our wedding, friends and family would often ask us if we were feeling stressed by the wedding preparations. Our answer was always a grateful \"No- not at all!\" because of how seamlessly the Secret Garden/Epic Events team managed the entire process. The wedding package pricing was also very transparent and reasonable, given all of the services and event items (tables, chairs, decor, lighting...so much!) that are included. They also provided wonderful recommendations for vendors not included in the wedding package, such as florists, bakers, entertainers, etc. A huge thanks to Christian, Julie, Laura, Bianca, Allie, DJ Shy, the Eco Caters Team, and Jerri Disney (florist extraordinaire!) for making our wedding day so joyful, stress-free, and meaningful! I do not believe we could have picked a better place to have our wedding. Not only is the venue beautiful their team is great. Christian and Julie were so kind when we toured and set up our contract. Mary was there the entire year+ before our wedding to answer any questions I had Which was a lot! one of our email chains was about 50 emails. Laura was our month of coordinator and she was so kind and helpful. She did everything in her power to make sure that I as the bride was not stressed about our wedding, I later found out that we forgot something for our mixed drinks and it was taken care of without me ever knowing there was an issue. She used all our signs and anything we wanted out and made sure guests could see them. Kristina, Allie, and Brian were our photography and videography team and we were so happy with the results. Jerri was our florist and she was super receptive and understood our vision for florals and really delivered! The DJ Michael (aka DJ shy) was great, He read the room and kept people dancing. There were always people on the dance floor and no one left early. The entire team worked hard to make this a magically day and we appreciate them all so much. Seriously check out the venue especially if you can tour the morning a wedding is set to take place like we did. You will see how hard the team works and see how beautiful it is when set up.

I loved working with all of them - Laura, Mary, Kristina, Brian, and others. I know they're super busy with many people's weddings, but they really make you feel like you're ~special~. HIDDEN GEM. I had my wedding here on in December of 2022. From the moment that we sent an email to the venue I knew they were the one. The professionalism that they provided was truly amazing. The upfront costs and all questions answered in such a timely manner was what initially pulled us in. Meeting Christian was another story. He was remarkable, we did not feel pressured at all and he really connected with us on a personal level, listening to what we were looking for. To be honest, on our search we only looked for a venue that was all inclusive. We only had one requirement. This one was that and so much more, the beautiful garden setting had natural greens. The gazebo really popped in our ceremony photos, and my favorite was the reception room. The elegant chandeliers coming down from the high vaulted ceilings and the all-around such a majestic scene. Of course, we couldn’t say any less for this hidden gem in Rancho Santa Fe. On top of this, we worked with such an amazing team. We felt the love, and the care with each individual that we met. Christian was the initial person, then we talked to Mary, we met Bianca to do the first meeting. SHE WAS SO FUN! Made us feel really comfortable and gave us so many pointers. We have never planned a wedding before and she really put us on the right track. Then we used the provided caterer ECO, Christine was so informative and made sure we were taken care of. The food tasting was so filling and delicious. Our guests loved the food. Our fun and lovely bartenders! Our guests really enjoyed the beautiful concoctions in their cups. During our final meeting we met with Laura, she really got down to work and finalized everything. From insurance to final décor and extra vendors, she made the last month really easy for us. And of course on the day of we were so excited to see both Bianca and Laura there greeting us. It really made the whole process come in full circle. The day of our wedding, it was not what we had envisioned ...it was SO SO MUCH BETTER than what we had in our minds. Thank you so much for this once in a lifetime day that you provided for us. I am so blessed to have walked on this path with the EPIC team at the Secret Garden. And we cannot forget our amazing photographers Brittanee and Brian. They captured our laughs, tears, and love in such a spectacular way. I loved that they caught all the candid shots between my husband and I, and our guests. I would 200% recommend this venue to any couple! We had made many appointments all over San Diego and Temecula to look at other venues and this one closed the deal! It was all inclusive, and most importantly we were stress free. The pricing was outstanding compared to a lot of the other venues that we saw. We did bring in a few outside vendors and everything meshed perfectly. The whole process was so smooth and easy. A million THANK YOUs to your team and I wish you only a more prosperous future in your business of making dreams come true!

We must of looked at almost 10 venues before we found this one and we are so glad we picked it! We knew this venue was the \"one\" when we first spoke with Julie. She was so down to earth and provided us options that could work with our budget. Talking to Julie was like talking to a friend. She was so easy to work with and so sweet and kind. Her husband Christian was also very nice and it seemed like they really wanted to get to know us as a couple. It definitely felt like we were in great hands and we really were. From start to finish- the wedding planning process was so easy. Daniel was our wedding coordinator and we absolutely loved him! He definitely made our wedding dreams come true. We-well mostly me :P wanted a garden venue/wedding and it was absolutely beautiful and perfect. This venue was all inclusive with floral, DJ, photography, catering, beautiful cross back chairs, and choices of different colored napkins and set ups all included. This was seriously an amazing deal. The price was very reasonable. Of all the venues we looked at, The Secret Garden was a steal! It made wedding planning that much less stressful because everything was all in one place. Everyone we worked with was absolutely amazing. They were all so nice and really worked with us to give us the best wedding! The beautiful floral hoop was definitely a photography hit for our guests! The eco catering company was also amazing! We loved working with Christine. The food was delicious! Definitely received compliments from the guests. Thank you so much to our epic photography team- Mike & Alex, Leah- our florist, our epic wedding coordinators- Mary, Daniel, Julie, Jazmin, and Christian for working so hard to making our wedding visions come to life. We must of looked at almost 10 venues before we found this one and we are so glad we picked it! We knew this venue was the \"one\" when we first spoke with Julie. She was so down to earth and provided us options that could work with our budget. Talking to Julie was like talking to a friend. She was so easy to work with and so sweet and kind. Her husband Christian was also very nice and it seemed like they really wanted to get to know us as a couple. It definitely felt like we were in great hands and we really were. From start to finish- the wedding planning process was so easy. Daniel was our wedding coordinator and we absolutely loved him! He definitely made our wedding dreams come true. We-well mostly me :P wanted a garden venue/wedding and it was absolutely beautiful and perfect. This venue was all inclusive with floral, DJ, photography, catering, beautiful cross back chairs, and choices of different colored napkins and set ups all included. This was seriously an amazing deal. The price was very reasonable. Of all the venues we looked at, The Secret Garden was a steal! It made wedding planning that much less stressful because everything was all in one place. Everyone we worked with was absolutely amazing. We had our wedding at The Secret Garden in October and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Their pricing is great for being a SD wedding venue. Their grounds are beautiful. The staff is SO friendly. If you are looking for a more SD budget friendly, stress-free planning, beautiful and unique wedding I cannot recommend them enough. I tell all of my friends who haven't gotten married to HIGHLY consider this venue for many reasons.- They are basically an all-inclusive venue. This makes wedding planning an EASE because you don't have to coordinate a bunch of vendors, they do the work for you!!! The only \"outside\" vendors we had to get was a bakery. We also chose to use a videographer but they have preferred vendors to work with and we chose BE Studios and couldn't have been happier. We chose to have live music at our ceremony so we also had a harpist, but again, they are so easy to work with having another vendor there was a breeze!- The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL and is easy since you can have your wedding ceremony/reception in the same place. There's plenty of parking. They also are open to you bringing your own decorations, which is different from many of the venues we toured in SD. Even though the venue is \"all-inclusive\" you still make your wedding YOUR OWN. You get your wedding your way!- Pricing. The base package includes everything you need for a beautiful wedding. They don't nickel and dime you or have hidden fees!! We did opt for some upgrades including 2 photographers//extra time from them, & extra florals. All worth the small extra charge.- EASY planning process. After booking your wedding you get emails right away from the whole Epic Events team. You get a sample wedding day timeline, what to expect in the planning process, and a list of preferred vendors. I hardly felt stressed because I knew Christian, Julie, Dana, Mary and Daniel had a hold on everything. - We had Daniel as our wedding coordinator and he was PERFECT. He truly helped bring our wedding vision alive and did not miss a single question in our first main coordination meeting. What we liked about him was how he was relaxed he was about wedding planning yet organized.- On the wedding day we had rain! Rain in SD in October?!? We couldn't believe it, but Daniel made sure that everything worked out seamlessly, despite the unexpected weather, and he made sure we got our outside dream wedding.- FLORALS. I cannot say enough amazing things about Jerri Disney. We had THE MOST beautiful wedding ever because of her creative florals. We told her we wanted a fall wedding, filled with sunflowers, wild flowers and very bright but natural looking. She NAILED it.- CATERING. We were very impressed with our tasting for our catering for the wedding. Only downfall was that our beef meal was not as expected and not as we had originally tasted but we also know there are beef shortages right now and the caterer can't help that, they did their best. We were so happy with our choices for the rest of the meals/appetizers.- PHOTOGRAPHY. Like the florals, I cannot say enough great things about the photographer. They didn't skip a beat and were already done with the dress shots and venue shots before I even arrived to the venue!! They jumped into action with the rain as well.- MUSIC. Our DJ was great! We didn't have a traditional reception so we couldn't have dancing, we just had a nice dinner under the lights for our reception but he played the perfect music!!

This venue promised the world and honestly no other meeting compared to our initial consultation. We had extremely high expectations for our big day and they more than delivered. I wasn’t that into the idea of an all inclusive wedding but this was so customizable. They were coming up with things that we never would have thought of. The florals (that we’re included) were beautiful, Jerri Disney knocked it out of the park. The Dj was fantastic and so accessible so we could change our music line up right up to the day. The coordinators all made me and my husband feel so cared for and heard. We really could not have dreamed of a better place to get married. I joked that I may leave my fiancé (at the time) for one of the owners, Julie, because she was so on top of everything. Cannot stress enough. This team made our day magical.

From the first meeting to our actual wedding day, my husband and I absolutely loved our experience with epic events and would do it all over again just the same! We recommend this venue and team to anyone who is looking for a smooth and organized wedding planning process. The venue is beautiful and has great indoor and outdoor space. Also, it isn't too shabby having one of the biggest dance floors I've seen. The owners, Julie and Christian love what they do and it shows in the way they treat their clients and invest in getting to know you. That only then bleeds out to the rest of the staff as all the different teams brought such great energy and became friends by the end. We had a specific budget and they were very clear and honest with prices. The package is amazing and we were able to choose alternative catering. They never pressured us and only supported and got excited about our vision and needs! Also, the florist, Jerri went above and beyond with the flowers and design. I was able to bring in my own decorative items to personalize it and never felt stuck in a box. I could go on and on about each staff member we worked with and couldn't be more thankful for this team and the work they do!

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about The Secret Garden. We got married there in May of this year and the whole team made the process so smooth and wonderful. Our guests shared so many positive comments about everything, from the space, to the décor, the music, and the food. The inclusive package was excellently priced, and we were able to easily fit it to exactly what we needed. First, the location is incredibly beautiful and they do a wonderful job of maintaining and improving the space. We really wanted an outdoor space for our ceremony and an indoor space for our reception which The Secret Garden catered to perfectly. The coordination team was so incredibly helpful and made it so seamless to plan a wedding in San Diego from Phoenix, Arizona. They were quick to respond to all of our questions and gave us a lot of helpful information and advice. Sydney was our day-of coordinator and she was incredible. Because of her, we were able to focus on celebrating and knew that all of the details were being handled. Jennifer, the photographer, took amazing photos that my husband and I will treasure forever. She was very helpful in moving my husband and I for photos and made us both feel comfortable. She also worked really well with the videographer that we hired. The DJ, Dan, allowed us to choose as much of the music as we wanted and also helped us by choosing music where we had less preferences. He helped us to get an extra microphone for a friend to sing a hymn during our ceremony which was such a meaningful part of our day. Jerri, the florist, was an absolute pleasure and designed beautiful floral arrangements that I loved! The flowers were one of the things that I was most excited for in planning our wedding and she did not disappoint. We had an excellent tasting experience with Eco Caters and we enjoyed the food at our wedding so much. They also made it very easy to accommodate our guests with dietary restrictions. We could not be happier with our choice of venue!

The Epic Events Team and their venue, the Secret Garden were amazing for our wedding day. The garden was gorgeous and the whole team was fantastic!! I planned my wedding from out of state due to work and Julie, Christian, and Sydney were just amazing on helping me pull my dream wedding together. They were always available for questions and helped me work out all of the details and find the right ways to incorporate all of the elements I wanted. They truly take care of you!The services available with this venue as part of their package are fantastic. The food from EcoCaters was delicious and the catering team was so accommodating for my guests with dietary restrictions. DJ Shaun was so great and my guests loved him. Jennifer Hahn, the lead photographer does amazing work. I can't believe how good she made us look in the photos I've seen so far and I can't wait to see the rest. Jerri, the florist, created the most beautiful florals for the wedding. I was so in love with all of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and arrangements. It was truly beautiful and she is so creative--I loved it. The bartenders were also so great and took care of us all night. My son and daughter in law married last november at Secret Garden - A truly flawless experience from start to finish. The venue is your own private oasis in the village and the team goes above and beyond to meet your requests. Hayley, the coordinator is there with you every step of the way, answering promptly. The floral arrangements were amazing, full, lush and everything the bride wanted! The team at the Secret Garden including Haley, Christian, Daniel, Julie, Jerry and all of their staff and assistants were 100% involved in our wedding and were part of the planning process from start to finish. They took us through the vision and planning process from flowers, photographs, colors, food, and took time to educate us on the best way possible to bring our wedding vision to life. Details like submersible blue color lights, the type of flowers in Emily's hair, and moving flowers from one point of the venue to the other were all part of the package. Truly, we could not have been happier. I cannot say enough good things about these people. Not only is the team incredibly supportive, organized, and detail oriented, the team at the Secret Garden makes the entire process phenomenally easier and sets up a strong timeline including strategic appointments, meetings with the DJ, caterer, photographer, and florist which made us feel incredibly comfortable and supported. Also, there is not a doubt in my mind that if we had contracted with separate vendors the cost would have been astronomically more, and the hassle and organizational labor would have been insurmountable. By collapsing all of the vendors into one location it was SO much easier and more personal. Emily and I also want to shout out the incredibly diligence and assistance of their wedding coordinator Haley Riggi who really took on the role of a close relative to us during the planning process and was personal, compassionate, supportive, and on the day of the wedding, indispensable. Haley was everywhere at once, putting our fires, making sure Emily was okay, getting us food, water, leading the ceremonies and rehearsals, and being the master behind the curtain. Our wedding was more magical than I could have ever imagined thanks to such an awesome team!Our florist Jerri did an amazing job with ALL the floral arrangements and especially my custom flower hoop swing. Everyone loved taking pictures in that beautiful swing and it was something so unique and special that you don’t see at every wedding. Our florist saw one picture and transformed the entire venue to replicate it. And my bouquet.... SPECTACULAR! It looked exactly like my inspiration picture!We felt so comfortable with our photographer the entire time! She definitely understood the ambience we were going for and I love how she got all the pictures that we wanted. Our photos seemed very natural and I really loved how she captured the true essence of what we felt that day. We can’t wait to see the professional pictures since it was very clear that our guests were nowhere near professional when taking some of the blurry pictures from their iPhones. Haha!Our DJ Daniel did a great job with the music. So many people told me that they danced ALL night so that’s always a good sign of a great DJ. He played what we wanted and he also played requests which made the guests very happy!No words can even come close to describe how amazing Haley was and how lucky we were to have her as our coordinator. Our wedding would not have gone so smoothly without her. She made it all come together! We laughed so much with her from our first meeting through the end of our wedding. She was the perfect fit for our crazy bridal party! Our wedding was the perfect combination of dark, moody and romantic! Their talent far surpassed anything I could have imagined! We were blown away at how exquisite our venue turned out. My husband and I got married at The Secret Garden on 10/26/18. Where most people usually have months in advance to plan their wedding, we went to the venue in July for our October wedding. And on top of that I wanted it to be as stress free for me as possible. We met with Christian and Julie and they said not to worry we can do it. And it was an absolute dream! My husband and I recently got married at The Secret Garden in Rancho Santa Fe in August 2018. During our first meeting in February 2018, we met Julie and Christian, the owners of Epic Events, who run The Secret Garden, and Jerri, their florist. It was such a pleasant meeting. They are all so warm and welcoming, and their desire to help you achieve 'the wedding of your dreams' was so pure and genuine. We decided to book the venue a few days after our visit. With five and a half months to plans our wedding, things happened quickly. Below are a few points we would like to share about the venue and our experience with Epic Events and The Secret Garden:1. The flowers. During our meeting with Jerri, we went over the flowers we liked and didn't like, and what we envisioned our flowers would look like for our wedding. Jerri really made an effort to get to know to us, our vision, and our love story. Her words of wisdom and encouragement will be remembered every time we think back about the process of planning our wedding. Jerri delivered 1000 percent. She took every idea that we shared with her into consideration and created beautiful arrangements that really complemented our day, our party, and the venue. Just lovely. She is charismatic and a real gem!2. Our Coordinator, Haley. One word, AMAZING. Haley is filled with ideas and her game is on point. She 'held our hands' throughout the entire process until the very end. Haley's ability to lead really helped make our wedding day flow flawlessly. From planning, coordinating vendors, preparing our timeline, our rehearsal, and on our wedding day, Haley brought her 'A Game' each and every time. She literally took the lead with our extra props, decorations, and dessert table, and creatively turned the venue into a beautiful rustic setting. 3. Our Photographer, Jennifer. Jennifer is so attentive and so sweet. Her work is impeccable. We chose to add an engagement shoot with Jennifer so that we could get to know her and her shooting style, and so that she can have an idea of what we wanted. Our engagement session was shot at Balboa Park. Our pictures were beautiful. Jennifer listened to what we thought 'our good sides' were, positioned us for photos and captured beautiful pictures. We loved the pictures so much that we decided to print them and used them as décor on our wedding day. On the day of our wedding, Jennifer and her team were by our side literally 99 percent of the time, ensuring that she would capture all of the memorable moments. She paid close attention to detail and made plenty of stylistic suggestions of poses and picture ideas. We cannot wait to see her work from the day of! 4. Lastly, Julie and Christian. These two are such great people. They sincerely went above and beyond our expectations. They are so supportive, so genuine, and so pleasant to work with. On our wedding day, Christian was so attentive and so personable. Our guests continue to rave about how friendly he (and Haley) were throughout the night. We could not thank them enough for all the extra steps they took to make our day so magical and so memorable.

After looking at several different wedding venues and being tired of the corporate, cookie cutter style venues, my fiancé and I were starting to feel defeated. I had received a recommendation to check out the secret garden. Upon arrival we both were taken back by the beautiful garden and whimsical feel. My fiancé was sold on the dance floor. It’s far larger than any others we looked at and that was his selling point lol. We met with Julie and she was amazing! So kind and helpful. She really wanted to get to know us and provided a no pressure sales pitch, which was truly a breath of fresh air! It didn’t take long for us to decided this was the place for us. The package is all inclusive (photography, florist, DJ, catering, and a wedding coordinator!!!) we have met them all and they are all beyond kind! We had the pleasure of doing our engagement photos with Jennifer. I’ve never had a photoshoot and was unsure what to expect. I'm from Michigan and came to California for a wedding held at this venue. I previously worked at a banquet hall in Michigan for 2 years, so I know how everything goes. I had high expectations for this California wedding. . . . First of all, The stench was overwhelming. Not sure what it was, but in my mind I compared it to my grandmothers nursing home. Moving on to the food (which is a big thing for a wedding), The salad was soggy and drenched with dressing. We were only allowed to have one loaf of bread. (As a server to many weddings, when a customer asked for more of something, we catered to their requests. Customer first. Thus, asking for a second basket of bread is not uncommon.)I had lamb for dinner - the portion size was unbelievably small. It was also served cold. The DJ,At first, he seemed okay. Played some okay songs. Once the bride and groom had their first dance (which was right when they walked in) the songs went downhill. As I scanned the room, no one was dancing. He wasn't nor did he play any current songs. He wouldn't even take request from the guests. His manager, even the wedding planner couldn't even get him to budge. Photographers,After the ceremony the photographers were no where to be seen. At one point, I walked into the bridal room and saw one of them sitting there on her phone. Still waiting to see pictures from the wedding . . . Service, As I said before, I worked at a banquet hall, serving many (I mean many) weddings. We had an hour span to serve with about 60 tables in a ballroom and everything would always go smoothly. We would serve bread, soup, salad, and main within an hour. This venue was a different story, each and every serve was slow as molasses. I've never witnessed such thing. They were rude as well. I would not dare to speak to customers as I was spoken to. Venue, Overall the set up of everything and the flowers were cute. However, the mold on the ground in the bathroom and the dirty grout just about did it for me. I will link a picture below. I'm from Michigan and came to California for a wedding held at this venue. I previously worked at a banquet hall in Michigan for 2 years, so I know how everything goes. I had high expectations for this California wedding. . . . First of all, The stench was overwhelming. Not sure what it was, but in my mind I compared it to my grandmothers nursing home. Moving on to the food (which is a big thing for a wedding), The salad was soggy and drenched with dressing. We were only allowed to have one loaf of bread. (As a server to many weddings, when a customer asked for more of something, we catered to their requests. Customer first. Thus, asking for a second basket of bread is not uncommon.)I had lamb for dinner - the portion size was unbelievably small. It was also served cold. The DJ,At first, he seemed okay. Food was horrendous. My son cried because he was so hungry yet he couldn’t eat his chicken because it tasted like rubber. My chicken was so bad that my husband and I couldn’t agree what it was. People were so rude! When we asked to open the windows they told us no! The smell in there is overwhelming! Like someone was purposely blowing in a fart smell! We actually thought we were being linked at one point. The DJ refused to play requested songs! Management had to intervene! Horrible place go somewhere else!

I am so sorry to see the Reviews are being hacked for this lovely and truly magical wedding venue. We could NOT be more excited or confident to have our very special day in this charming and meticulous garden setting with the premier team of very enthusiastic and experienced professionals, and the beautiful, gracious vintage clubhouse with extraordinary original crystal chandeliers. We know that we are in wonderful hands from the chef, florist, photographer, personal wedding planner and the entire staff. Our wedding is scheduled for July 2019 and we will have friends and family from all over the country attending. When that day comes, we will be so proud and so happy. Go away, Bully. Shame on you and your sad, bad heart.

I cannot say enough about this team and venue. They seriously made the entire planning process stress free and then made the day of dream come true. Our wedding day was everything we had dreamed of and so much more. It was absolutely perfect and that was because of this amazing team. Haley, Julie, and Christian made the planning process seamless and fun. They were flexible, supportive, organized and so fun. Jerri put together the most incredible florals and Jen took the most gorgeous photos. The DJ, Daniel, put together our music perfectly and helped to coordinate with our band. Thank you all for everything. It was absolutely the best day of our lives. I cannot recommend this venue enough, you are missing out if you don't work with this team.

My late spring wedding is going to be gorgeous! I just reserved The Secret Garden at Rancho Santa Fe with their super inclusive wedding package and I am excited, relieved and excited all over again to have my venue reserved, my coordinator and vendors figured out under my budget and so much more to look forward to with the ease of planning this venue provides. With my fiancé and I hailing from Texas along with the majority of our guest list, I couldn't have found a more perfect location to invite everyone to for a mini vacation. The town surrounding our venue is adorable!! We're going to have a beach ceremony nearby and then an outdoor garden cocktail hour and indoor reception on site at The Secret Garden. I intend to dance the night away because Med School and work will be happily waiting for me when I get back home!

Who loves venue hunting? It's fun in the beginning but after 4 or 5 venues with your groom becoming less than interested by the 3rd venue, it was a breath of fresh air to find The Secret Garden at Rancho Santa Fe. Location alone, this venue deserves 5 stars for where it s and the close proximity to the beach (they let you plan for a beach ceremony if you prefer that over included garden ceremony) but the ultimate for me was that the inclusive wedding package they feature includes SO much! With ceremony, reception, catering, bar and my vendors all coordinated on site through their package, it's a no- brainer and I'm so excited about the decor themes I'm able to pull off through their on site staging team. Twinkle lights and flowers hanging above my bridal party table? Yes please! I love how I was able to customize my wedding package to get exactly what I need and want. So happy I found The Secret Garden!
