The Shamrock Ranch is a wedding and event venue in Excelsior Springs, MO, near Kansas City. Nestled among over 300 acres of lush land, this setting offers plenty of space for couples to use as their blank canvas. The multiple packages, cozy accommodations, and dedicated staff will ensure you and your guests have a memorable wedding weekend. First constructed in the 1920s, the Shamrock Ranch has been owned and operated by the Riley family since 2019. These grounds have been carefully renovated to host events of various sizes, from intimate elopements to 200-person receptions. You will be welcome to host your ceremony in The Quonset Barn, which is constructed with reclaimed lumber and a vaulted metal roof for plenty of rural charm. Rustic lighting and lighting decorate the space, adding a visually stunning touch to your altar. After you exchange your vows, you and your guests can enjoy photo sessions or cocktail hours on the manicured fields. Thick forestry also surrounds the grounds for a secluded atmosphere with plenty of natural beauty. You can then make your way to the Reception Barn, which features a versatile floor plan to accommodate a variety of seating arrangements. Both barns have central air and heat so whether your wedding is in the cool spring, hot summer, or crisp fall you and your guests will be comfortable. In addition, The Cabin features cozy bedrooms and modern amenities for up to 10 overnight guests to enjoy. As a pet-friendly venue, The Shamrock Ranch welcomes couples to incorporate their furry companions into their celebrations. The team will happily connect you with their list of trusted vendors to accommodate your dream theme. Chairs, tables, and linens will also be provided to help you complete your wedding setup. From your engagement party to your day-after brunch, the team will make sure that each step of your marriage journey is seamless and memorable.

What a great location. Loved the sitting, the experience the flexibility. The owners were great to work with, gave suggestions and worked with our needs and wants. We loved the flexibility this location offered with the on-site house for the wedding party and the two barns.

The Shamrock Ranch is the perfect wedding venue out there!! The price was fantastic and with everything they are adding to their beautiful property you get your moneys worth and would be crazy not to get married here!! Denise and Mike (owners) made our wedding weekend a breeze. They were so helpful with everything. The cabin you can stay in is breathtaking and that in itself is a nice getaway too. The property in its entirety is amazing. Thank you for a wonderful venue Shamrock Ranch!!!

Shamrock Ranch was AMAZING. Denise and Mike, the owners are FABULOUS! They make sure MONTHS before that you are well prepared and make sure you have everything you need! I chose the stress-free package, which I got the venue from Thursday-Sunday! The cabin was BEAUTIFUL and it had everything the girls and I needed for our weekend stay! One thing I love is how dog friendly they were! My two girls came with me the entire weekend and they were SO accommodating! I cannot thank them enough for their beautiful venue!!

What a beautiful ranch! Great setting for a wedding. Perfect location if you're looking for a peaceful serene venue but also want to be close to Kansas City. The rolling hills make this a beautiful location for any event. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. Would definitely consider it for my next event.

Beautiful venue with everything you need for any event. Lots of space inside and out. The owners Denise and Mike are very professional and personal. They have put alot of time, sweat and hard work into making this venue one of a kind. Having our daughter's wedding here was such a wonderful experience, from the blank canvas to decorate the way we wanted, to having the whole cabin that slept a bridal party of 10 so they could stay on property to decorate, get ready and not feel rushed and really be relaxed. Booking the whole weekend really gives you time to enjoy the experience rather than rush through everything from set up to cleanup. Highly recommend this venue for any event.

Owners, Denise and Mike raises the bar for this amazing venue. The attention to multiple details simple, small to major and completely noticeable is well thought out. They are personable and intentionally listen to help make plans happen. The setting for the venue is breathtaking. Multiple areas not seen upfront for photo shoots. It is a bonus to have the venue open for engagement pictures once a wedding date is set and confirmed. The reception barn doesn't lack detail to lights, sound, floor space for table arrangements, catering kitchen, side area for many uses. We used this space for games and few toys for the littles to have fun during the time of reception. The cabin accommodations is perfect to keep Bride, bridal party and ladies in area of two bathrooms and bedrooms, Groom. Groomsman and guys in a area with bathroom and lounge area. Bedrooms and kitchen are ideal for overnight stays.

You couldn't ask for better people to work with then Mike and Denise, they absolutely went above and beyond anything we ever expected. Whether it was taking us out on the trails for awesome wedding pictures, or staying late to help us with everything we needed and much much more they did an awesome job! Words cannot fully express the gratitude we have for what they did for us on our wedding weekend.

Mike and Denise Riley (Owner) Mike and Denise recently celebrated their 30 year wedding anniversary. They have 2 boys Will and Nathan and a bonus daughter Kelsey (Will's bride). Mike is retired after 20 years in the AirForce Reserves, retiring as a Major. He is part owner in Control Service Company out of Lee's Summit, MO--a temperature control company. Denise is repurposed after 20+ years in Human Resources for a variety of different industries. They are involved in a lot of philanthropical organizations and believe in giving back to the community.
