long story short, we switched venues at 8 months left until the big day due to my grandpa being able to make it to our wedding closest to home. This is one of the first venues we looked at before the others & conveniently enough, our date just came available. Once we told my in laws about the change they mentioned that’s where they got married when it was Doolan’s. First & foremost, Chelsea has been nothing but helpful during the whole process & answered every question I had. The wedding was everything I wanted & achieved my goal (which was have the most unique wedding possible & the guests actually have the best time they ever had). Everyone raved about the cocktail hour and shared how amazing the food was and that it was one the best cocktail hours they’ve ever been too. The only complaints I had was my day of coordinator (not complaining about my Day of) boxed up the rest of my cupcakes & gave them a worker & told them specifically I wanted them & I would pick them up & when I did they weren’t there & I spent the money for them. I was also told that servers kept taking drinks & food away way too fast. Now I know it’s the severs jobs but not as quick as they were. My MIL had a full glass of her drink, went to go dance & came back & it was gone. We were told there were some mishaps with the seating arrangements but the reception ones were partly my fault. For the ceremony, the seats seemed to be tight & not enough. All & all the space is very beautiful & it is very nice to get married at & the staff was very helpful & friendly.

My wedding was in March 2023 and it was an outstanding experience! I highly recommend The Shore Club. The dance floor and carpet were newly renovated and looked great. The food and service were amazing. Reach out to Chelsea in the sales office for your wedding!

I am a Wedding Planner and Designer, and when I decided to plan, design and decorate my own 30th Wedding Anniversary - Vow Renewal Celebration, I needed to work with a venue that would allow me to bring to life my celebration vision board just as I envisioned it to be. Chelsea our Event Coordinator and the entire Shore Club staff were amazing from beginning to end. During the planning stages Chelsea was very patience and accommodating, and the day of the event the Penny (Maitre D’) and the event staff were amazing. The entire flow from the Vow Renewal, to the Cocktail Hour to the Reception was flawless. I highly recommend The Shore Club because they provide great service and have a TRUE Bridal Suite on-site.

Upon reading the reviews others have posted, I feel that the event planner being present makes all the difference. In the weeks leading up to the wedding I had many details that were a struggle. The maitre d was able to help me in many ways but the event planner assigned was not as present as I hoped. Overall the venue was clean, beautiful, food abundant and tasty. The bar service and servers were excellent. The details I was unhappy with really only impacted me as the bride.

The Shore ClubJust over a month ago we held my daughter’s wedding at The Shore Club. From the minute we walked in, we knew we were where we were meant to be! Even on Zoom, my daughter knew it was the place. Chelsea had a way to make us feel like home. She doted on the brides and made it all about them. On the day of the wedding Chelsea and Penny continued to make everything perfect! Our guests all felt well taken care of and loved the food. I would highly recommend working with Chelsea to have your wedding/event at The Shore Club!!

My husband and I got married at the Shore Club on 03/03/2023. We were extremely satisfied to say the least. We were the first bride and groom to get married with the newly renovated dance floor and carpeting in the grand ballroom. The staircase was renovated with brand new carpeting as well, which made for even more beautiful family photos. There are so many options for photo ops at The Shore Club. My parents got married at this same venue over 30 years ago. I had a vision to recreate where they had their photos taken and I am so grateful to have these memories that will last a lifetime. The hotel rooms were clean, priced fairly, and super convenient, especially for our guests who traveled from out of state. We had signature drinks for our guests upon their arrival that were in the lobby. The cocktail hour had so many options to choose from including passed hors d’oeuvres, hot stations, and cold stations. One of my personal favorites was the sailboat filled with fresh seafood. There was also an ice sculpture we chose in the shape of a G representing our last name. The dinners were delicious, and our food tasting was such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend the salmon! The candelabra center pieces were offered by the venue and were the perfect addition to our flowers. The menus for dinner were created by the venue along with the name place cards so that was one less thing for me to worry about. Our cake was provided by Chocolate Carousel and was surely a crowd pleaser. For additional desserts we chose an ice cream bar, and each table had its own platters of pastries. After the wedding there were two farewell stations that included hot pretzels with cheese and pork roll sandwiches. The afterparty was in the lobby bar and hideaway lounge. The breakfast buffet was the cherry on the top the following morning where we enjoyed omelets cooked to order, fresh fruit and lots of other choices. Chelsea Davis made my wedding dreams come true. My maître d was Penny, and my bridal Attendant was Heidi. If you choose to get married here, I will highly recommend requesting the same team members I had for my wedding.

The Shore Club was an amazing venue to hold my intimate wedding. Frankie was amazing start to finish. On the day of my wedding, he was always checking in and going above and beyond. The food was amazing, cocktail hour alone was enough food to fill my guests. The venue supplied my centerpieces, card box, candles, and every other little thing I forgot. Chelsea was so helpful and kind through every process leading up to my wedding. She helped me plan every aspect, and helped my guests book rooms for the night. Could not recommend this venue enough, book before this place gets too popular!!

My husband and I got married here in December 2022. Chelsea was beyond amazing the whole way through our planning process! She made everything go smoothly and accommodated all of our requests - from the food to the decor! We are picky with food at weddings, but The Shore Club did not disappoint. It was DELISH! The day of, Frankie, was there every step of the way and so attentive to us! We also visited the restaurant shortly after being married, and when I tell you you’re served an experience, it’s true. The ambiance, the food, the music, it was all spectacular. If you’re looking for a night out or planning your wedding - definitely look into this venue!

My Husband and I got married here 01/14/2023. From the moment we walked into the venue to tour, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. My husband is very into his Irish heritage, and the shore club had the flair he needed. The main lobby is beautiful and has tons of amazing places for pictures and places to hang while our guests arrived. The chandeliers are breathtaking and the staircase says it all. Chelsea was amazing with explaining the package, and everything that was included. (Which by the way is an enormous amount of stuff!) Our guests were extremely impressed with the food, service, decor, and how seamlessly everything ran. The hotel on premises was extremely helpful, for traveling guests and cutting transportation costs for us. All of our guests were able to get the group discount which was included in the wedding package. The bridal suite was huge and decorated so cute when I got in there! My bridesmaids and I loved it. The fact that the owners also own the Spring Lake Tap House and St. Stephens Greene was also a huge plus. Having rehearsal dinner at St. Stephens was so simple, they were able to accommodate the 30 people we had for dinner. We had our after party at the tap house where our guests were able to walk 1 block (again, no need for transportation!). The staff was helpful throughout the entire process. I brought the decor, and the staff did an amazing job putting it all together and creating my dream wedding. I could not have asked for anything better. Special thanks to Chelsea, Frankie and the staff that helped for anything to do with our wedding. It truly was the best day of our lives. (And a lot of our families as well!)

I got married at the Shore Club on 11/18/2022. I can't thank Chelsea enough for her help throughout the entire planning process. This place is a well-oiled machine. They know what they are doing and how to make your wedding day the best day. Everyone was communicative and answered every email (of which there were many). For food, the offerings are much more than most places I looked and all the guests raved about the food. They made special accommodations for my being vegan. Frank on the day of was also amazing. I highly recommend this venue!

My husband and I were married at The Shore Club on 9/4/22 and can not express how perfect that decision was! From our first meeting with Chelsea we knew it would be amazing. Our guests were greeted by the breath-taking chandeliers and sprawling staircase that The Shore Club is known for. The ceremony and cocktail hour in the Atrium were romantic and beautiful! The reception was AMAZING! The food was outstanding, service was superb and ambience was elegant! We even had an After Party to keep the celebration going!! Chelsea, Frankie and Penny took care of every little detail, even a few unexpected ones!! The venue provided for accommodations all weekend, so the bridal party, family and friends could truly celebrate. Breakfast in the Atrium the following morning was delicious and again in that stunning room!! Chelsea’s expertise is phenomenal; and her patient, kind and amazing personality make it all even better! Frankie and Penny hit it OUT OF THE PARK the whole event!! We highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for the perfect location for any event!!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding at the Shore Club in the beginning of August, 2022. We absolutely loved it. The process of meeting with the wedding coordinator (Chelsea) was smooth and painless. We loved that everything we wanted, from the ceremony, to the food, to the accommodations, to a trolley ride to the beach to take photos, to the next day breakfast, was all done at the Shore Club. I really appreciated the spacious bridal suite to get ready in and that our guests were able to enjoy the pool and pool bar during the day before our festivities. The food (amount, options, and the food itself) was phenomenal! All in all, we had quite literally the best experience we possibly could have had for our wedding. We HIGHLY recommend the Shore Club!

SAFE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND SEEK A MORE FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE VENUE. ITS YOUR WEDDING DAY AND YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO SUFFER...................I could not pass up writing a review of my families most beloved venue OR should I say was. YOU WILL WANT TO READ THIS! I PROMISE.The original owner Mike, created the \"it\" spot which later turned into a wedding venue, Doolans Shore Club. This family was known for their welcoming spirit and hospitality, just ask around the shore...(I live out of state so that's impressive.) Sixty plus years they put their blood sweat and tears into making sure that this was part of their legacy. Fast forward to my wedding back in july 2015. I discovered Doolans through my new family. Most of them had their wedding, bridal shower, baby shower, renewals at Doolans shore club. So, Naturally that's were I had my wedding. I had an amazing time. I was accommodated in any way possibly including all of my guests. Granted Doolans was a bit dated but the way I was treated made me forget all of those things. I was greeted with a smile, felt like I was home. If I had an issue with anything it was immediately addressed. Sadly, Doolans lost the Patriarch and most recently the Matriarch of the family. Then it was either sold or under new management. I still don't have a clear idea about this. If they only answered the phone or responded to voicemails I would have a better idea. This day marked the 6th month of me calling to contact The shore club....Previously Doolans to set up our Anniversary dinner. I called and was unable to reach anyone. I did reach someone on the previous Wednesday which was a male , did not give his name when answering. I explained to him I would like to set up an anniversary dinner and no one has returned my calls. I also mentioned I was given a credit for an anniversary dinner and would like set that date up in July. He proceeded to tell me \"We do not honor any credits, gifts cards or prepaid rooms that are under the current prices of rooms now , anymore.\" I asked if I could see if it was possible the manager would honor it. . He said a manager would call me back. I spoke to a female , again no name. I speak for a few minutes explaining how I would like to set up an anniversary dinner and if it was possible to honor the credit? her response \"Okay, so I don't understand why you were telling me this.\" I responded \"Ma'am I spent a few minuets explaining this to you because I need you to understand how and from who I received the dinner credit and if I can redeem it'. Her response \"t don't catch an attitude with me.\" My response \"I am sorry I am merely expelling the situation so you can understand why I had this request and we have been on the phone for several minutes now and I am re explaining it, I hope you can understand my frustration and it was not my intention to be rude.\" \" Her response \" When you can not have an attitude you can call back .\"So, I called back only to find out she BLOCKED me from calling. I am beyond mortified that a business would EVER treat someone this way. Once a favorite spot has now just really changed my whole perception of this place. If the shore club was willing to :- Not return my calls for 6 months-Use a rude snide tone with me-Hang up on me-Block me-and not honor my credit (Mind you that is such bad business practice and everyone knows that) Then this isn't the place for me or any of my family members anyone.......

I came to Chelsea, the event coordinator at The Shore Club, with a crazy idea: my sister's baby shower, and my bridal shower, all in the same space, on the same day, back to back. Since we had family from out of town that would come to both, we wanted to maximize their time out here. Chelsea was so accommodating, so responsive, and so eager to help us celebrate. She allowed us to bring some rental pieces the day before the events, let us in early to set up, and gave me full control of putting on my own playlist. The day of \"Shower-palooza,\" although she had several other events happening at the same time, she kept checking in on our dual events to make sure everything was going smoothly. The staff and servers at The Shore Club are so professional and attentive, our guests never had empty water glasses, and nobody was sitting, waiting for the buffet style food to be replaced. Between the two events, the staff seamlessly flipped the room around, put out different tablecloths and napkins, and gave us plenty of time to put new decor up. I am upset I cannot have Chelsea coordinate my own wedding, as it is at another venue. I want to shout out Billy, another event coordinator, and Gabriel, one of the servers, for all of their communication and dedication to making this day so special for my sister and I.

Words cannot express how amazing this staff and the venue made my daughter's day perfect!! First- Chelsea is Amazing! She was the one who took care of everything from the day that we signed the contract to the ceremony! She thought of everything and made it so that we had NO STRESS! She took care of any hiccups and I LOVE HER!! You want her planning your wedding!Then we go to Mr. Perez and his staff. They made the tables look perfect and all of our guests kept saying how amazing this staff was! You want considerate and professionalism-then have your wedding here.Last but not least- Frankie!! He took the baton from Chelsea and I love him too. So kind, professional, and made sure that the night was PERFECT!! I RATE THIS PLACE 100!! DEFINITELY CONSIDER THIS PLACE !!!

Spring Lake’s “The Shore Club” knocked it out of the park for our daughter and son in law’s wedding a few weeks ago!This couple was one of those who had to send out 3 save the date cards due to Covid. When we found out that the Doolans had sold to new owners and we had already rescheduled 2x due to Covid, we were on alert. The new owners immediately put our minds at ease and honored the preexisting agreement.Fast forward to September 2021…after filling every room at the hotel with our guests, we saw the rooms were beautiful and the linens top notch and the employees went out of their way to make it a special weekend. There is still some work to be done in the rooms, but we were very pleased at how much was accomplished in such a short time given all the material and resource shortages driven by Covid.The wedding day was perfect. The Atrium was bright and energizing for the ceremony and party rooms clean and elegant. Our guests were very happy with the quality and quantity of the cocktail hour and reception food, drink and service. The surf and turf was a nice touch for our Beach wedding.Shout out to Chelsea, Brian, Pam, Terry, Nicole, Penny and Billy. They helped us navigate the expected and the unexpected. In fact, when a local car service bailed on the wedding couple the night before they were to travel to Newark Airport for their honeymoon, Billy called all his contacts and given the late notice from the original car service, Billy said “don’t worry, I’ll take you myself” on his day off!We are excited to return when The Shore Club opens up their Steak House, Roof Top Bar and other upgrades. PS – The venue did not ask us to write this review, but I wanted to share an up to date and honest perspective.

We had our long-awaited wedding celebration at The Shore Club over last weekend and I have to say, it went off more perfectly and easily than I could have imagined! As a bride who booked with the previous owners, our initial communication and experience with the new owners was definitely a tough transition that created nerves and apprehension. However, I really must give them all the credit after how wonderful the last few weeks leading up to our wedding and actual wedding day was! Chelsea, our event coordinator, was attentive, thoughtful, and flexible. She got back to me quickly whenever I had questions and tried her best to accommodate whatever requests we had. The day of, she was perfectly present and efficient, getting whatever our party needed and ensuring we were ready to go. Pam, owner/sales, attended our final meeting and provided great ideas, was flexible with last minute Covid concerns, and checked in throughout our rehearsal. Brian, the general manager, put our minds at ease ahead of time and was on top of everything the day of from making sure our hotel guests had their welcome bags to getting breakfast together in the morning. Frankie, manager (I think!) had an eye for detail and was quick on his feet to help us anytime. Miguel and Jose assisted with any tasks needed and were always a smiling face throughout the day. Penny, our maitre d', couldn't have been sweeter or more attentive. I had a food allergy and she was always sure to check in with me about any questions. She got everybody where they needed to go during the reception. I wish I could say I knew everyone else's names, but honestly all staff and servers/bartenders were just fantastic. We dropped off everything the day before with notes on how to set up and they were followed to a T. And lastly, all food was amazing!!!! From cocktail hour to dinner, just perfect. Kudos to the kitchen staff. Myself, my family, bridal party, and guests all had a wonderful time! Thank you to The Shore Club for completely taking care of us on our special day.

We got married 6/26/21 and it was magical!! The staff was Accommodating in every way the food was absolutely delicious and the new renovations are beautiful! We had the time of our lives with rehearsal dinner the wedding and the Sunday brunch. I couldn’t have dreamt up anything better! Thank you Penny you’re the best!!

Went for tour weekend of July 10,2021. The Doolan’s sold their facility to a new owner. Don’t expect the same service the below reviews rave about. It doesn’t look like the place has been cleaned in months and the parking lot has not been weeded in months either. We walked into a horrific smell in the lobby. The person who showed us around couldn’t answer our questions on when the renovations would be completed and Skipped over showing us the new guests rooms. They were clearly having events while construction was going on, missing windows in the atrium were replaced w plastic coverings. I feel bad for anyone who scheduled up coming weddings. I was sent a pricing menu a few weeks ago that is no longer an option, would have been nice to have received the correct pricing. We couldn’t be told what the discounted rate for a block of rooms would be (10% off for example). “Not my department” is what we were told. Really poor service all around. The table cloths, floors, and seat covers were stained. Don’t waste your time.

We attended a wedding at Doolan's and I am so disappointed to say that it was absolutely horrible. First and foremost, the hotel attached to Doolan's was absolutely DISGUSTING. The walls were cracked, wallpaper peeling off the walls, mold in the fridge. If we weren't in the wedding party, I would have immediately left. Then the venue itself is very dark and outdated. The wedding took place off-site and pictures immediately followed. By the time the wedding party (INCLUDING THE BRIDE AND GROOM) got back to Doolan's, there was NO FOOD LEFT from the cocktail hour for us. Seriously disappointing, and we were starving. The food was just okay. One of the waitors dropped a dish on the dance floor .. and they proceded to clean it up with windex. Needless to say, the first person that walked on the dance floor slipped and fell. It does not at all have a beachy feel, and it is far from the beach, despite how they advertise it. Ugh it was just awful. However, I just heard that it was bought out and will be renovated, so hopefully it will be given new life.

In 2019 when we started planning our 2020 wedding, we looked at several venues for our Jersey Shore reception. We found Doolan’s Shore Club to be just the right setting for the wedding we envisioned.We were thrilled to nail down a Saturday night in late June! Everything lined up perfectly, the venue, the DJ, the bakery, the florist, the beach setting for the ceremony, Perfect!Then COVID-19 happened. We waited as long as we could to postpone but it was inevitable. We were devastated.Susan, the owner could not have been more understanding. We could cancel if we wanted to or change the date and the terms of the contract to comply with state laws.Because we hesitated many dates had already been taken. After talking it over with Susan we decided on a Sunday in early October. Susan and her sister Joanie accommodated us in every way, adjusting the cost, the minimum guest count, anything to make our day special.It was splendid! We had the run of the place. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable! Susan’s professionalism matched her sincere caring for our enjoyment of the occasion we shared with our closest family and friends. All the prevailing safety guidelines for distancing and mask wearing were enforced. Even the weather cooperated. We couldn’t get the beach ceremony but the ceremony at Doolan’s was picture perfect. The picturesque grounds and the hotel accommodations made our wedding day unforgettable.From the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony to the cocktail reception to the dinner and the buffet breakfast, our guests were thoroughly impressed.Thank you to all the staff that prepared and served our meals and serviced our rooms.This was the absolute highlight of a different year

Susan runs a tight ship. She was very accommodating given the pandemic and willing to work with us to make our day as we'd hoped. The chef created a vegan dish just for us too. My only disappointment was that our wedding started late because Doolan's was hosting another event that ran long. My husband and I knew instantly we wanted to have our wedding here! Let’s start off with the incredible food - everyone of our guests complimented not just the dinner, but the cocktail hour, goodbye station, and morning omelet bar. What the space lacks in updates it makes up for in charm. My pictures came out amazing in large part due to the beautiful atrium where we were married and the double stairway in the lobby seems suited for bridal photos. Factor in that you can literally have 3 rooms at your disposal for your event, and this really takes the party up a notch! We also loved that the rooms are very affordable so our out of town guests did not have the issue of a high priced room to crash in. The staff is incredible! Penny attended my husband and I flawlessly throughout the evening. She was a gift! Susan (the owner) is a pro! She runs every aspect of the entire event personally and you can tell she has been doing so a long time because no stone is left unturned! Have your wedding here! This is an amazing place with great energy and wonderful people who care about you! You can’t buy that! My wedding was so much fun and I can’t thank this staff enough for all they did to make it truly perfect!

You could never ask for a bette venue if you aren't looking for something beautiful, personal and budget friendly. I can not say enough great things about Susan and the staff here at Doolans. They went out of their way, in every way, to make our day and the ENTIRE process of planning so, so enjoyable. From tastings and visits- we just had a blast. We loved every aspect of this venue. The food was incredible, the rooms were beautiful. They allowed us to have our own opinions and flow. They truly took their time to know us ans made us feel like family. It was incredibly special.

I loved this venue for a very comfortable and homey, yet elegant atmosphere for my wedding! You can't beat their prices for the quality of the venue. The room was a perfect size for my 110 guests to feel like there was room to breathe but that the dance floor was always hopping. The stage was also a great size for my large band. So many of my guests raved about the food, especially the Chateaubriand. Penny did such a wonderful job setting up the room with all of my decorations with very little direction from me. It was just like a dreamt it!

Doolan’s Shore Club is absolutely phenomenal! Even before I was engaged I was researching venues and I saw Doolan’s and their beautiful ambiance and the packages they offered stood out to me above so many others. I am so glad me and my fiancé went with them! Susan, Joanie and all the staff are so sweet and so accommodating and don’t mind all the millions of questions you have for them! My maître d’ for the day of our wedding this past Saturday, August 31, 2019, Penny was absolutely a doll! She set up everything perfectly and was so accommodating constantly checking on me, my husband, and our guests! They gave us everything we needed! They treated everyone like gold! Everyone loved the venue it was absolutely gorgeous they did above and beyond beautiful work they even left us cookies and a thank you note on our bed the night of our wedding! I recently attended a wedding at the venue Doolans in Springlake, which is rated well on your website and featured in the magazine. I just wanted to bring to your attention that we had multiple issues with them. THe only reason I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 star is because the head caterer was a sweetheart and the food was decent. I was the Maid of Honor and found the maitre d to be extremely rude. She came off as wanting to be anywhere else in the world then this wedding. The reception rooms air conditioning was not working ( it was 88 degrees outside and at points 80 inside(( my seat was directly below the thermostat )) . The bridal suite had 1 of 3 air conditioners working. When brought to the staffs attention they confirmed the air was not working but did nothing to resolve our issue. While taking pictures outside ( which had been planned with the maitre d ahead of time) the sprinklers came on. As previously stated it was almost 90 degrees outside, and we asked if we could get some water glasses brought out, the maitre d denied that request. (THANKFULLY the head caterer sent out some waters later, when we had a girl almost faint, but by that point we had 20 minutes until the wedding started so too little too late) . The carpets were disgusting and torn. The cement outside was cracking off in giant flakes and sticking to our shoes. The article in the magazine stated they just finished a $1 million dollar renovation, but I can't even imagine what they used it on. We had multiple other issues. The place was filthy and way to hot. Guests were going into their rooms to change shirts because they had sweated through their dress shirts.

We were married at Doolan's in May and I cannot say enough good things about it! This was the first venue we looked at and as soon as we walked out we knew this was the place! Susan and her team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. Very responsive and helpful with any questions that came up. The day of Susan made sure everything went perfectly, even remembering things I had forgotten about. And the Food!! Our guest are still raving about the food, the cocktail hour alone was some of the best food I've ever had, and there were so many options. Both my husband and I got to pick our favorites and everything was top quality. Ending the night with the Goodbye station was a huge hit also. I am so thankful we found Doolan's, they really made our day absolutely perfect!!

We needed a budget wedding but still wanted something nice and formal for our reception! Doolan's had a room that was the perfect size for our party. We ended up doing a brunch reception which was amazing! All of the guests were so happy with all the food, and choices. Susan made sure everything was done in a timely manner, had chairs set up on the beach for us for our ceremony. Our maitre d was SO attentive to us during our wedding. From gathering us for our big entrance, to making sure we had whatever food and drinks we needed at any point during our ceremony, and making sure we had everything as we left our reception!

What more can be said about Doolan’s Shoreclub that hasn’t been said? Having years of experience, Susan and her team were on their A-game while dealing with such a large wedding party and crowd (225). The food was TOP KNOTCH! Unable to partake in a majority of the cocktail hour ourselves, we still hear individuals raving about the captain stations and the seemingly endless amount of hors d’oeuvres. The dinner service was spectacular and we did not receive one complaint from our guests. Susan was extremely accommodating, allowing us to include some surprises and was a very good sport when individuals got into the champagne cabinet. Our Maitre D, Peggy, made the night go so smoothly and ensured we were taken care of. Thank you so much for making our evening that much more special than we ever thought it could be.

When it comes to bang for your buck, Doolan's is an optimal choice for your wedding. When measured up against competitors in the area, Doolan's provides you a great deal of service for a reasonable price. Susan was attentive to our needs during both the lead-up-to as well as our on wedding day. Her staff was equally accommodating. The food is outstanding. So much so that we attending an entree tasting, and if memory serves, up to as many as three hors d'oeuvres tastings. The day prior, we were able to drop off four large bins of decorative items with pictures as to how we preferred things to be arranged within the ballroom. Doolan's replicated this to virtual perfection. All in all, this is a fantastic venue to celebrate what very well could be the most amazing day of your life.

When we walked in, Susan greeted us, gave us a tour & answered all of our questions. We had some requests to include traditional Portuguese food & accommodate guests with food allergies. Any request, Susan found a way to fulfill it perfectly. We loved the cocktail hour room, their prices were extremely reasonable, for a June Sat. night. Our guaranteed count was 100 & that they included so much (centerpieces, signature drinks 30 mins before cocktail hour, 20 room block onsite to name a few). We went to a few tastings prior to choosing our food & the selection was unbelievable. We booked the Shore Club package with Surf n Turf as 1 option for dinner. Many guests enjoyed & it portions were generous. All guests stated the food was delicious & there was a lot of it. Some wished they had more room to try it all. Leading up to our day, Doolan’s confirmed all the final details & we were able to drop off everything on Tues./Wed. before our Sat. wedding so we didn’t have to worry & they could go through it & ensure everything we wanted was completed. Tom, our Maitre’D, was fantastic & attended to our every need. Many guests told us we wouldn’t eat/drink anything during our reception. Tom ensured we ate, had whatever we wanted to drink & refreshed our drinks when they had been sitting a long time. During our cocktail hour, Tom tinted champagne to our color blue. He kept the night on schedule without us feeling rushed. Later, we found out from several guests, that Doolan’s accommodated their dietary requests, even providing 2 steaks for the surf n turf. 1 guest had severe food allergies, the next morning Doolan’s made him breakfast & brought it to him. Doolan’s goes out of their way to ensure your day is exactly how you envisioned it & even better. They made it stress-free & we had nothing to worry about as Susan & her team had it under control. We would definitely suggest Doolan’s as a venue to anyone looking for extremely attentive customer service at a wonderful price!

Doolan's Shore Club did an absolute wonderful job for my Wedding on April 28, 2018. The food was fantastic and plentiful! Everyone is still raving about how delicious everything was. The reception space was beautiful! Thank you for letting me us the lanterns for the centerpieces, they were great! The staff was incredibly helpful the entire night, if we needed something they got it for us immediately. Also, our Maitre D went above and beyond to make our day special! Whatever we needed, she got us immediately. She was constantly checking in and asking us if we needed anything. At the end of the night everything was packed perfectly and organized. I would recommend Doolan's to anyone looking for a wedding venue. Thank you for making my wedding a day I will treasure forever!

From start to finish everyone at Doolan’s was amazing! Susan was always available by email or phone to answer any questions we had. Their wedding packages include so much more than many other places (signature drink, chair bows, champagne toast). Susan was always very attentive to specific details that we wanted for our wedding and was even there the night of to make sure everything went smoothly. Our maître d went above and beyond to make sure that we were attended to and always had a drink. Everyone at Doolan’s made us feel the day was just as important to them as it was to us. My husband and I just had our wedding at Doolan's at the end of July and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue itself and about Susan, the wedding coordinator. She was with us every step of the way, always quick to reply to my many emails, usually within a couple of hours. Her confidence and relaxed approach to the planning process made me feel so at ease; she is undoubtedly a professional who knows exactly what she's doing. This was invaluable, as I never had any doubts or worries about how things would turn out. And as expected, they turned out beautifully :) her and her team's execution of my vision was perfect, down to the smallest of details. We had our ceremony at the beach that Doolan's handled entirely. It was simple and perfect - exactly what we pictured. Our reception was held in the bigger ballroom, and it fit our 210 guests comfortably, with plenty of room to move around and to dance. From a guest's perspective, we have heard nothing but rave reviews. The service was excellent and the food was incredible! My only regret is that I didn't get to eat more of it. What I did have, however, was delicious, and I am a self-proclaimed snob when it comes to food ;D We chose the cocktail reception, so there were a bunch of stations in the atrium that our guests could visit at their leisure - everyone loved this setup and Doolan's did such a great job keeping up with our 210 guests and their appetites. At our final meeting the week prior, Susan ended up adding extra stations to make sure we had enough food. She also threw in filet mignon at the carving station - beyond generous gestures from someone who truly cares about their couples and their guests. Day of, she added yet another station at no extra charge because she was still worried we wouldn't have enough. It was so many little things like that that really ensured our night went off without a hitch. We are so appreciative to everyone at Doolan's for all of their time, patience, and efforts. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

Doolan's was the best choice of venue I could have ever made! My husband and I went in to have a consultation and tour with Susan and she really knew what she was talking about. This is a family owned and operated business that included everything that we were looking for in our wedding venue. The price and value of what we were getting was above and beyond any other venue we checked out. It did not take us long to book with Susan and start the planning process! Susan, Nicole, Penny and the whole team were so helpful when it came to every last detail to our perfect wedding. I thought I would overwhelm everyone with all of the decor that I was bringing in but soon realized they knew exactly what to do with everything. I checked everything over and approved all of the beautiful work that Nicole put together for our Romantic Disney wedding theme and was so excited at what an amazing job she had done for me. Penny was our Maitre' D and she was fabulous! She was on top of everything! She showed me the room before the ceremony began and helped me find something I thought was missing. She added all the finishing touches and obviously knew what she was doing because she put the reception room together so beautifully! She came to find me several times to get me drinks and food or whatever I may have needed. After the party ended, Penny and her team were on top of their game putting everything away neatly and carefully. Overall this venue and the whole staff was the best choice my husband and I could have made!

There are not enough kind things to say about the staff and service at Doolan's Shore Club! We just had our ceremony and reception at Doolan's on January 14th and it was the most amazing experience. The staff was more than accommodating, they make you feel like family and really go the extra mile so you don't have to worry about a thing. From planning, to set up, to the actual event they are with you every step of the way. My maître d was AMAZING- she really made sure myself or my bridesmaids didn't have to worry about a thing during the event. There is not enough to say about how amazing the food is at Doolan's- the cocktail hour was amazing and of course their famous prime rib. Go with Doolan's- you will not regret a thing!

Doolan's is a beautiful, old-fashioned catering hall. We read many reviews & spoke with several people who had their wedding with Doolan's Shore Club after visiting and booking with them, & no one had a single negative thing to say. We had our Friday evening September wedding with them, & we have to agree regarding how amazing this place is. We worked with the owner, Susan, throughout the planning process, as well as her wonderful staff. They were professional, thorough, accommodating, & flexible. Equally as important was their very reasonable pricing, which made this location work with our budget & allowed us to make our small seaside wedding happen- they really do include so much & you can customize it to fit what you want. What was also great was the hotel attached to the venue, which alleviated my concern for shuttle service or my guests driving inebriated. Susan ran our ceremony at the Bradley Beach Gazebo, and it went flawlessly. Susan & her staff kept on top of our event, making sure everything was how we wanted it. Susan was accommodating with moving times around when we realized we needed more time for pictures, the staff was kind enough to make sure my husband & I ate during our reception, & when we finally made it downstairs the next morning late for breakfast, the staff stopped breaking it down to make sure we got food and coffee. The food was amazing, & every one of my guests raved about it. There was *so much* of it. The cocktail hour was abundant (so I hear) & bar service was great. We did hear a bit about the dated condition of the hotel rooms, but they were clean, well-appointed, & there were no issues.Every question was answered, every concern addressed, & every request accommodated. The food was awesome, the service perfect, & we had an overall outstanding experience with Doolan’s. It was a true pleasure to work with every one of the staff members, & I hope to be able to have another event there sometime in the future (or attend one!).

My wedding was 9/17/16 and I'm still getting phone calls about how amazing my wedding was and that is because of how amazing Doolans is! Since day one when I first met Susan I knew that Doolans was the perfect choice for us. Susan and her staff worked with us for a year and she is a true class act! My family and friends are still raving about the FOOD the food was so amazing and food was my main priority. My ceremony room and my reception room was designed EXACTLY how I always pictured my wedding day. I'm hoping I can get invited to a wedding there so I can sit and relax and enjoy all the food LOL. Thank you again Susan for such an amazing day. The only thing that I would change is the guest rooms and bridal suite rooms. I wish they were more updated. Other then that I had no issues and I had the best day ever.

My bride to be and I went to Doolan's a few days ago to check it out based on the excellent reviews here. I wish I could say we had a positive experience but it was quite the opposite. From the moment we arrived, I knew i was going to be disappointed. The outside of the building needs repair as there were what appeared to be rust stains, pieces of concrete broken off the sides, filthy awning, and old air conditioners along with chipped and broken concrete in view of potential wedding guests. The woman we met with seemed uninterested and the venue did not meet any of our expectations. The only part of the venue which I think was decent was the lobby. Even then, the entire place smelled like a cheap motel. Granted, there was an event there earlier that's why this isn't a 1 star review. The room for cocktail hour has a large window overlooking the pool and grounds. However, the window was dirty and had a white residue on it and the grounds are nothing special and there is nowhere to take pictures. The rooms were outdated, the carpets were dirty, mens bathroom seemed fairly new however, the women's bathroom was not and tiles were cracked and dirty as well as the bathroom itself being outdated and in need of repair (as I am told by my bride to be, my mother and future mother inlaw). We weren't able to see a guest room or eat at the restaurany but from what we had already seen, we didn't even want to. Overall very disappointing.

Susan was great to work with from start to finish. Our wedding was on a Friday and I was allowed to set up the ballroom the day before to make sure my vision became a reality. We were receivng compliments all night from guests on how great the food was and the bar was flowing all night! The rooms were clean, comfortable and very spacious.

Susan and her staff were amazing! Right from the beginning, Susan worked with my husband, mom and I to pull off an amazing beach wedding on Memorial Day Weekend! She allowed us to bring in our own touches a week early and she stored them safely for us. Each staff member went above and beyond the call of duty whenever we had a minor to major mishap or if a guest had a question with their room, Susan was on it in a heartbeat! We even had to hire an extremely last minute shuttle service due to lack of parking by the beach, and Susan was there to help make it happen for us. Every single guest raved about the delicious food, beautiful ambiance and exceptional service. Even after the festivities were over and we were home, we forgot some things. Her staff once again came to the rescue and hunted down our things and got them to us. Susan also recommended we use Chocolate Carousel for our wedding cake, which was 1 of the best decisions ever!!! We can't thank them enough and can't wait to go back to visit!

What an absolute pleasure it was working with everyone here. From seeing the venue for the first time to the time we left the morning after our wedding everything was perfect. We had the Shore Club package and it was above and beyond the value. The food all fresh and amazing, all we heard that night and today is nothing but compliments on the variety of food and how good it was. And so happy we could have a custom station at cocktail hour... a bacon bar! What a hit that was, not only did Susan research it more for us but they nailed it. The bacon was flying off the table.The atrium for our ceremony was decorated beautifully, and the ballroom just perfect. Brenda our Dedicated Maitre D’ was great, she nailed it with taking care of us. Rob our one bartender made sure our bride and groom drinks were exactly how we wanted them made. And Susan, she made it so easy to work with her and answered every question we could have had. It was a perfect day.

I had great expectations for Doolan's based on all of the great reviews and pictures I found online. However, when I visited the property for a tour, I was extremely disappointed. The lobby is very lovely, however the ballrooms are very dated. It is in need of a repainting and the ceiling needs to be replaced. The cocktail hour space is extremely small, compared to the space for the reception. Also, during out meeting with Susan, who was very nice and informative, I was turned off after she told us our date was not available (we are planning a year and a half out). But then she also talked very poorly about her \"bad\" brides. It left a very bad taste in my mouth and we immediately decided that this was not the place for me and my fiancé to start our lives.

Everyone at Doolans were amazing! Our awesome maitre'd Barbara took care of me and my groom and whatever we needed. They were very very accommodating, even with me being a neurotic bride! Susan and her staff made sure everything was perfect and I didn't have a care in the world once everything began. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Doolan's Shore Club was beyond amazing for our daughter's wedding. From our first meeting with Susan Doolan, through the entire planning process, everything was clearly explained. The actual reception was beyond magical! The room was set up so beautifully with both their decorations and items we had too. The food was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and all the requests from our guests were met with smiles and prompt attention. The staff worked tirelessly to ensure that the evening was perfect. When my daughter's dress suffered a mishap a staff member ran and got scissors; the bride was able to continue dancing!! All of our guests left saying they had never experienced such an amazing reception; one guest called it \"the wedding of the century\"! Doolan's is the perfect venue for a wedding reception!

We got married here on August 8, 2015..From the minute we booked it back in November 2014 it has been a great experience, any questions I had, I emailed them and they responded to me immediately up til the day of our wedding!! The day of our wedding, Susan was there to help us through everything, we got married on the beach and she was there for anything we needed, as far as holding my dress to help me and my dad down the beach!! We got back to Doolans for the reception and the cocktail hour was delicious, set up beautifully as well as the ballroom, our wedding was stunning and the food was spectacular, all our guests are still talking about it!! I highly recommend Doolans to all getting married, it was everything we imagined and a whole lot more!! Thanks Doolans you helped make our wedding day PERFECT!!!!

My husband and I recently got married this July 2015 at the beautiful Doolan's Shore Club. Susan was a pleasure to work with from day one!! We visited the venue a year and a half prior to our wedding date and then we had to plan our wedding long distance from Chicago. Susan responded to all emails within 1 day, answered all of my questions, and guided us throughout the entire process without any problems! She even referred us to a reverend whom married us at the poolside of the venue, and he did and amazing job!! We did visit the venue an additional time for our menu tasting and right then we knew that our wedding was going to be perfect. They allowed us to try all of the available entrées that we could have at our wedding and it was a tough decision because everything tasted delicious and that is a lot coming from us because we used to live in Manhattan and can be quite picky with our food. We ended up going with the châteaubriand, lemon peppered chicken with shrimp, and the herb crusted salmon all of which were phenomenal, and our guests raved about how great the food was just as we had expected! We also received many compliments from our guests on the cocktail hour they were impressed by the amount of hors d'oeuvres and the crepe station. The cocktail hour was held in the glass atrium which was a beautiful setting for the cocktail hour! The reception room was also great; we ordered up lighting through our DJ to set the mood a little bit more and I highly recommend that. The size of the dance floor was large and easily held all of our guests; we had 175 people attend. The entire evening went smoothly and we could not have asked for more!! Doolan's even included a complimentary breakfast for all guests who stayed onsite so we were all\rable to have breakfast together the next day. Oh and I almost forgot! We took pictures by the lake but our driver that was supposed to take the wedding party canceled last minute and one of the gentlemen that works at Doolan's totally took care of it for us!! He called around to car services of people he knew and arranged us another van!! We were so grateful for this! The whole wedding day is such an amazing memory now, and we're sad that it's over!! The only negative is that we feel the hotel rooms could use some sprucing up. I am pretty sure that some of them have been renovated and others have not. Our bridal suite needed some work, but that did not matter so much as our wedding weekend was more perfect than we could've ever imagined!\r\r

My husband and I got married at Doolan's about a week ago, on July 24th. We had such a great experience from the moment we looked at the venue to our wedding day. Susan and her team were spectacular. The front desk staff were knowledgable whenever we would call with a question and also very accommodating with any request. The interior ceremony space was beautiful, the reception hall just right, and the food great -- we received many compliments on all fronts. I also really appreciated how so many extras (even the cake, which was delicious) and center pieces are included with the venue. The staff on our wedding day were also very attentive and easy to work with. We highly recommend Doolan's!

I got married at Doolan's this past September. What was supposed to be a beautiful cool September day turned out to be one of the hottest days of the summer- hitting in the high 90's but feeling like we were in the 100's! Susan was quick to calm my fears that the whole building wouldn't get cooled-off enough for our guests during the reception and checked in on my bridal party that was getting ready in one of the suites. They brought in extra fans while all the blow dryers and curlers sucked the cool air out and helped bring in class champagne classes for our bridal mimosa bar too. \rOn top of the little extra things Susan and her staff did, I heard numerous compliments from guests that the service was spot on the whole night. That guests never felt they even needed to get up for a drink because the staff was always around and being helpful to anyone who needed a refill. Plus they also raved about the food- particularly the filet mignon and the salmon!\rLastly, from all the other venues we looked into, Doolan's had by far the best value around and Susan was very accommodating in making changes to your wedding package as well. I would absolutely recommend Doolan's for any bride looking for a great wedding venue that is also close to beautiful beaches and parks in Spring Lake for pictures!

I got married exactly one month ago on a perfect summer day. My ceremony was at a church and Doolan's hosted my reception and accommodations for our out of state family members. And I'm still getting compliments on it!\r\rPros:\rThe food was delicious. I'm not really a fish person. I eat shellfish and tilapia on occasion. But their salmon is mouth watering. My husband and almost half of the family got the filet mignon wellington. They all said it cut like butter and melted in their mouths. The staff were on top of everything. What I couldn't finish, they boxed up for us to take in our private suite. Everything we wanted was laid out perfectly. Our seating table looked gorgeous. And the wishing tree was a hit. They even took the images from my invitations and incorporated it onto the menus as well as our signature drink from my bridal shower.\r\rWe had the large banquet hall and the atrium for cocktail hour. There was plenty of room in the hall for eating and dancing. The atrium, although lovely, was a bit snug for our 130-140 guests. It took a while for a staff member to announce the extra outdoor space and seating being available. But the presentation was phenomenal.\r\rAnother pro is the lobby itself. The grand staircase and chandelier that lead to a private cocktail area and on into the hotel are breathtaking. The lobby made for great photos.\r\rCons:\rI only have one or two things that I should voice. They didn't bother me, but I feel it fair to give others warning of what to expect.\r\rFirst, although the banquet halls are gorgeous, the hotel rooms are not top of the line. It is an older hotel. And it has gone through some renovations. And there's a chance they'll have another one between now and your wedding. The bathrooms, including the bridal suite, are small and snug. But for what they are, they are clean and efficient. It has a homely feel to it so if anything, the quality of the room is much like a holiday inn. And considering its on a busy road only a few blocks from the beach, I have little to complain. There are other hotels in the area, but Doolans is the nicest of them all that will work with your budget. My rooms came with my wedding, which during the summer near the beach is not an easy thing to get. \r\rBecause Doolans is also a restaurant, there is a possibility of you getting party crashers. I did, but to tell the truth I didn't know they showed up until after security had already escorted them off the premises. All they went for was the open bar. But then, you face that at any wedding.\r\rI've been planning this wedding since 2011. I looked at other vendors before booking with Susan and her team. She was flexible, while being practical. Some people would view her as snobbish or rude. And to a point, she can be intimidating. But that's because she is running an aggressive business. But once you talk to her and show her your interest, she'll help you with a warm smile. I went to her for at least 3 open houses before I decided. And it was the best decision I made.\r\rThe short of it is if you want anything of a beach themed wedding, Doolans can give you that and work with your budget. And you do get what you pay for, if not more. As for naysayers, you forgot to do two very important things. Do your research, thoroughly, and read the fine print.

I can't say enough great things about everyone at Doolan's Shore club. The first time I met Susan and Bob and toured the facility I knew it would be perfect for our wedding. Doolan's was actually our first venue we looked at and we walked out of there knowing it was the place. After Doolan's we did visit one other venue but it just didn't compare. We booked it shortly after our first meeting and I'm so glad we did. Everyone was so accommodating and the food was perfect!! People that were at our wedding said it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. We had such an amazing time working with Susan and Bob. They really went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and went down without any issues. Thank you very much Susan and Bob for making my day so perfect and stress free. We can't wait to come back just for a stay and see Bob and Susan!!

My husband and I were married at Doolan's Shore Club in the beginning of November and it was more than we ever could have imagined our wedding to be!!! From the moment we booked, Susan and the entire staff were extremely helpful with all of our questions and concerns. The ballroom was spectacular and the new centerpieces were gorgeous. I was so happy we chose not to have the florist make the centerpieces. Bob was a very attentive and awesome maitre'd making sure that both my husband and I were eating and had everything we needed. Our guests are still raving about what a phenomenal time they had at our wedding...particularly about the Chilean Sea Bass, the Venetian Hour, and the Brunch the following morning. You will not be disappointed with the food and service here! My only complaint was the unfriendly and rude bartender that was working the restaurant bar outside of the ballroom. I am thankful that he was not working the bar inside the ballroom. Even with that being said I would highly recommend this venue without reservation. Thank you to Susan, Bob, and the entire staff at Doolan's for making our wedding the most wonderful night of our lives!!!

Overall Doolans did a great job! Food was VERY good, prices reasonable. The cake was a disaster. We gave them a picture of the cake and got a lopsided disaster, they then re made the cake, and added polka dots (it was supposed to be a sea shore design with a hint of blue) It was a big disappointment. I recommend them and would have given 5 stars but the cake was really bad, and the flavor was wrong as well. They did not show the guest where to go, luckily my brother is a wedding planner and ended up taking control. If you book must get your own cake, and wouldn't recommend for ceremony if you do not have a planner.

We got married at Doolans Shore Club on 8/31/13 and I could not be happier with the experience! I actually cannot believe how smoothly, easy going and accomodating Doolans was. When we were deciding on the venue (by the way…once we went to Doolans we didn’t go anywhere else) I had a lot of questions and Susan and Bob answered all my emails in a very timely manner and with incredibly helpful and thoughtful answers. They were also always available to meet in person and had no problem with me stopping in alone, or with my husband, or with family or friends. Susan and Bob had great advice, would give us their opinion and expierence in certain things but always told us, to do what would make us happy. Words cannot describe my extreme gratitude for the Doolans Shore Club. Susan Doolan and Bob, and the entire staff were absolutley amazing. Susan and Bob really did make our wedding the most amazing day of our life. From day one Susan and Bob were down to earth, friendly, helpful, and fun and never made me feel like a crazy bride! The food was amazing; everything from cocktain to the very end! People are still telling me how awesome EVERYTHING WAS. I have absolutely no regrets at all and would HIGHLY recommend Doolans. Thank you Susan and Bob, you made our wedding a dream come true!! We will be back to visit soon 

If you are considering having your wedding at or near the Jersey Shore, or in New Jersey at all, you really should consider Doolan's Shore Club seriously. I looked at about 5 venues in the area, including some that are more famous in Spring Lake than Doolan's, but there were a few reasons I chose Doolan's. First of all, the place is beautiful inside. The Atrium (where our cocktail hour took place) is a gorgeous room enclosed in glass. Our reception itself was in the Presidential room, which is the smaller of the two ballrooms, but was the perfect size for my wedding (105 people), and I actually liked the layout better than the main ballroom. It was also very important to me to have a hotel on site. Also, Doolan's offered us and our parents a meal, so we could taste the food, before even booking. When we tasted the food, we were highly impressed. And, the price was very good compared to other places we checked out in the area.\r\rThe staff at Doolan's (mainly Susan) was always accessible and incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions and ironing out all details with me. Planning your wedding can be a stressful time, but at Doolan's, they are very relaxed and made me feel confident that everything would be great.\r\rAnd, it was! Doolan's did not disappoint! Everyone at the wedding was amazed by the food and could not stop raving about it. There was so much food and and it was high quality as well: all of the food at the cocktail hour was delicious, the salad, the pasta, the meal (I had salmon, but I tasted everything and it was all fabulous), and the cake was incredible too! Not one detail of my wedding was anything other than I had hoped it would be.\r\rIn my opinion, if you are looking to have a wedding in that area, and do not choose Doolan's, you would be making a mistake. I could not be happier with their service.

I had my reception at Doolan's on Sept. 07, 2013. It was perfect! We had a private cocktail room for the bridal complete with servers for food and drinks and white glove service. Every one of my guests stated we had the best wedding they have been to! I would recommend Doolan's to everyone for any occasional. My husband and I were extremely pleased with Doolan's Shore Club! When looking for a venue, we wanted a place that had hotel rooms, could accommodate an inside ceremony, have a reception and was within our budget of $100/pp. Other venues we looked at that met our criteria barely fed our guests (I'm talking a salad and main meal). At Doolan's, we had a ton of food during cocktail, a three course dinner, and our wedding cake with an ice cream bar! Bob and Susan were always available to answer any questions we had during the planning process and made sure every part of our day ran smoothly! Our day was carefree and the entire planning process was sooth sailing!

Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful and so much of that was thanks to Susan and Bob at Doolan's. They were accommodating of our every request. Also, dinner was delicious. We received so many compliments from our guests about how good the food was. The price was the most reasonable I found in all of my research and included the ceremony, cocktail hour, champagne toast, 3 course meal and the cake. We had a beautiful reception and given the chance to do it all over we would definitely choose Doolan's again.

This is a long overdue review (but, hey... wedding etiquette says that you have a year for thank you notes... right?). And that's exactly what this review is all about. It's a thank you for exceeding my expectations, a thank you for making my day special, and a thank you for creating a lasting memory. From the very first phone call to Doolan's up the moment of check out, every single one of my wedding day needs was carefully handled and attended to by the helpful staff as well as Susan and Bob. They personally walked me though each step of the process (let's face it.... I was clueless) and were more then willing to allow me to just \"drop by\" at a moments notice. Viewing the reception room many times still did not prepare me for the big day. Every single detail from the table covers to the cake display was impeccable. It's still a frequent topic of conversation. I couldn't believe that this was for me! Even at this moment, I am still having trouble putting my thoughts into words as I truly believe that phrases like \"thank you\" or \"beautiful\" don't do it any justice. After waiting so long to write this, I have no other option but to use these simple words and phrases simply because there truly are no words to express our gratitude and appreciation. Even during my wedding day hair crisis, the staff made sure to bring me some wine directly to my room in order to calm my nerves. The food was delicious, great portion sizes and I plan to revisit each year to celebrate our anniversary (we're in this for the long haul)! All in all, every time I look back on my wedding day, I can't help but smile and fondly remember my special day at Doolan's Shore Club. -Wedding date: August 11, 2012

We were married 18-May-2013 and Doolan's Shore Club could not have done anything more to make our wedding any more perfect and enjoyable for us or our guests. From the minute we stepped out of the limo the staff was there to meet our every need. The food was incredible and the wait staff top notch. The venue itself offered us everything possible from a cocktail hour and dinner with more food then anyone could eat, accomodations for our out-of-town guests, a place to gather after the reception was over, to breakfast the next morning. Susan and her team were so accomodating during the entire planning process and made sure everything was taken care of. As the bride I could not have asked for more - it was truely and amazing day where I could just enjoy being the bride.

Susan and Bob and the entire staff at Doolan's Brian and I could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding reception then we got. The personal touches you put on making our room and cake and tables look absolutely stunning. The simpleness of our wedding was made to look gorgeous. The table linens were dripping in crystals and the replication of my dream cake was done with such ease. Bob you were with us all night and we think the world of you. Food was delicious and the staff was amazing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the opportunity to have the wedding of our dreams. I had my wedding reception at Doolan's on 03/16/13. Everything was perfect. Susan and Bob were great to work with and they made sure our day was stress free. Susan was helping us with planning and she took care of everything we needed. On the wedding day Bob was amazing. He was making sure we and our guests had everything we needed. Food was absolutely delicious. The cocktail hour was just awesome and our guests could not believe how much food we had. The reception was amazing as well and everything looked beautiful. Everybody had a great time. The service was excellent and we were very happy that we picked The Doolans Shore Club for our wedding. I highly recommend them.

All I can say is WOW! What a fabulous job Susan and Bob did for us. I read many reviews about how amazing they were! And they DID NOT disappoint! Everything from the food, to the lay out of the room, to the flow of the wedding, to everything was just perfect! We were an out of state couple and they did so much to help make all of it easier on us! There is not one thing I would change about our day there! Even after the wedding a handful of us stayed at the hotel and hung around the bar in the lobby and we were still taken care of and asked many times if where was anything we needed! It truly was the best day of our lives and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place! I would Highly Recommend Doolan's to anyone for any event! We definitely feel like we got our moneys worth! This is one HAPPY Bride!

I was recently held my wedding reception at Doolan's on September 21, 2012. Let me begin by saying my planning was done entirely from California except for one visit after I had already booked the venue to taste the food. Susan and her entire team were a dream to work with. I planned my wedding in 5 months from across the country and Susan would always respond to my frantic emails within the day if not within the hour. She constantly assured me everything would be fine and her calming demeanor did the trick. The day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch and if it didn't, I was none the wiser! At the reception we received amazing service and never had to ask for a drink or look around for help. After researching other venues on both coasts and attending many many weddings, I am confident to say you won't find a better value or better service. The food was amazing and abundant! Susan, Bob and the entire team go above and beyond and have the expertise to give you a stress free day.

I was excited to go to a wedding here a few weeks ago as I was considering Doolan's for my own venue. The place was beautiful and the dinner entrees were good. However, the cocktail hour food wasn't that good (Swedish meatballs were just ok, penne vodka was not good). The time management was off, too (maybe because another wedding was going on there simultaneously?) Cocktail hour started a half hour late (after a three hour break between ceremony and reception already). There was a lot of time between salad and entrees, but as soon as the entrees were laid down so was milk for coffee/dessert. It just felt a little awkward, but overall the wedding was very nice.

From the point of view of a guest, I was not impressed. I actually was appalled. The place is very dark, dingy and decorated in an out-dated and tacky fashion. The service was horrendous and the food was mediocre. We went to a beach wedding and had dinner in a basement, without windows. Let me reiterate, a beach wedding in a room without windows.\rThe worst part was the hotel. About 80% of the items in the room were broken and the rest were dirty. When I shared this with the desk, all they said was \"ohh sorry\". They clearly were not sorry because they did nothing to fix it. Absolutely nothing.\rAs a guest, I spent way too much money to stay in such a dirty place. I feel badly for the bride and groom who were deceived by this place. \rTo future brides and grooms, don't be fooled by this place. As much as your wedding is all about you, remember this is all that your guests will remember. If you want a beach wedding, there are tons of other options that will please you and your guests.

Word can't describe how impressed we were with Doolan's. Susan was a pleasure to work with helping us create our picture perfect day. On the day of the wedding Bob was wonderful. He kept me calm as the dark black clouds were swooping in over the beach ceremony but for some reason he knew it would pass and the ceremony was beautiful. He made sure we had everything we needed. The waiters were great in their service. They took great care of us. Overall I would definitely recommend Doolan's to anyone. Food, Service, and price can not be beat!!

From start to finish, this venue offered everything I needed. Susan Doolan sat with me and was available to answer any questions I had. Doolan's helped arrange my beach ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Onsite is a hotel. Breakfast was available for everyone who stayed in the hotel for the entire stay. \rThe day of the wedding, it started to rain and Bob was ready to set up inside. We got lucky and were able to go to the beach. Unfortunately, our limo was beyond late. Bob accommodated all of our guests and bridal party and allowed us to extend our hall. He was at the beach opening my dress as I walked to my groom. He helped me stay calm and collected. He fixed plates for my groom and me or we would not have eaten our meal. \rThere was a goodbye station as our guests left which Bob personally attended.\rI would love to have any party here in the future and would not hesitate to attend again. The best part is that we were invited to visit again as Doolan's has a restaurant and the hotel with a pool. There is always a reason to go back.

I can't say enough great things about everyone at Doolan's Shore club. The first time I met Susan and Bob and toured the facility I knew it would be perfect for our wedding. I had done some research online and gotten pricing from a few other places but the only place we actually went to was Doolan's. We booked it shortly after our frst meeting and I'm so glad we did. Everyone was so accomodating and the food was perfect!! People that were at our wedding said it was the best wedding that they have ever been to and thought we spent a lot more than we actually did. Thank you very much Susan and Bob for making my day so perfect and stress free.

I had my wedding at Doolans. I would have to say everything was perfect. The food was great,prices were good for everything that you get,service was great to us even though I was told that food was taken away too fast. Susan,Ron and Bob were amazing with everything. I had an amazing wedding and I would suggest that future brides look it to Doolans Shore club

Doolan's was so helpful and easy to work with. They ensured that every last detail of our wedding was perfect. The food was amazing, and for weeks now our friends and family have been talking about our incredible cocktail hour. The service was superb and the staff was so attentive to our needs. We had plenty of space in the ballroom even with a larger wedding (250). Our cake was beautiful. Anything and everything we asked of them, they delivered. We are so grateful to Susan and Bob for helping to make our wedding day truly the best day of our lives. We highly recommend Doolan's!

This venue was perfect for our wedding. We wanted something intimate with our close family and friends. Susan was wonderful to work with. She made everything so easy. She even recommended an officiant for our ceremony. The food was delicious. We added the Filet Mignon entree to our package for a small fee and it was well worth it. I would definitely recommend this venue to friends.

We picked this place as the pricing was good and we wanted a vanue that had a hotel and separate bar attached so our guests could entertain after the wedding and no driving was needed. Susan was very helpful in the whole process. I did alot of DIY and they were very helpful in setting up my reception favors and decorations. The food for the cocktail and reception was amazing; all my guests seems to have an awesome time and I would definitely recommend them.
