The Silver Knot is a wedding venue located in Ronan, MT. Owners Kurt and Traci Johnson give a warm “Montana Welcome” to couples seeking a scenic and spacious venue in which to host their special day. They are honored to bring friends and families together at their stunning ranch to celebrate momentous occasions of commitment. Nestled on 26 acres, the property offers spectacular views of the Mission Mountains that will make for a dreamy backdrop to each celebration. Receptions at Silver Knot are held in the rustic-chic 2,400-square-foot barn, which accommodates large gatherings for dinner and dancing. This expansive banquet hall features exposed wooden beams, reclaimed dock wood from Flathead Lake, corral-siding walls, glittering chandeliers, and sweeping windows that overlook the mountains. The building also houses a dressing room and get-ready suite that have vanities with mirrors and comfortable seating. Stairs lead up to a loft, where overflow seating, DJ booths, and cocktail hours can be set up. A prep kitchen is also available and comes complete with a standard refrigerator and freezer, open range, and an extra large sink. Ceremonies can be held inside in front of the windows or in a dedicated outdoor spot. A path leads to this breathtaking location, where couples can walk down the aisle while their loved ones look on. The Silver Knot offers comprehensive wedding packages that come with exclusive access to the grounds, an indoor or outdoor dance floor, and setup and cleanup. Round and rectangular tables, resin chairs for outdoor events, Chiavari chairs for indoor celebrations, and assorted decorative tables are also provided. Montana-style barbecue, glassware, flatware, and dishware are available for an additional charge, as are floral arrangements, DJs, event planning, and hair and makeup services. Other extras include an officiant service to preside over the exchange of vows and firewood for the outdoor fire pit.

This venue is beautiful, but but the owner's son, Brandon basically ruined the wedding. If you get married here do not hire their staff. They had a few good people helping, but Brandon was apparently having a bad week and decided he was going to make sure everyone knew how angry he was and how much he wanted everyone to leave. I had multiple bad interactions with him and heard from family, guests and vendors about his embarrassing and disgraceful behavior towards them. He was rude. He rushed guests through dinner. He took plates before people were done eating. He yelled at my family before the wedding when we were setting up and doing what another employee had told us to do. Our wedding ended early in large part to Brandon's actions that night. It was overwhelmingly felt by everyone in the room. It's a disgrace and one of the worst displays of unprofessionalism and immaturity I have ever seen. My family and friends did not deserve to experience this treatment. When I expressed what had happened to the venue, the owner ignored me. We did nothing to deserve this. In retrospect I should have vetted the staff before, but I just assumed the people staffing a wedding would be nice! Brandon knows what he did and I hope he has gotten help for the way he projects his anger onto everyone around him. No one should every have to experience this type of treatment let alone have it affect your wedding, so I want to warn anyone thinking about getting married here.

The Silver Knot is such a beautiful venue and it’s owned and ran by a pretty amazing family. When we got there the morning of the wedding they had all the tables and chairs set up already. They made sure we had everything we needed, the best part for me is that they have a garage full of decor from past brides that have been donated that you are allowed to use which saved us a lot on buying decorations. Traci even put a couple of horses in the pasture close to the venue for us which was a huge hit for our guests. I highly recommend having your wedding here! Thank you Traci and your family for helping us have the most amazing wedding day!

This venue was absolutely perfect for a Midwest couple who wanted a winter mountain destination wedding!! The entire family went above and beyond for us and our guests. I cannot give The Silver Knot a more positive review.
