We got married across the street at The Riverview and hosted a hotel block at The Simsbury Inn. Although we had a small group of people the staff made us feel special, offering space for an after party is desired, champagne and a card on the wedding night, and making everything smooth even though we didn’t get married with them. Our only feedback is the inclusion of photos of the rooms to help plan better when booking and setting up a room block, especially with the suites! We were surprised (perhaps by our own omission) to find only 1 bed in the 2 room suite. Everything else was great. Thanks!

We got married across the street at The Riverview and hosted a hotel block at The Simsbury Inn. Our only feedback is the inclusion of photos of the rooms to help plan better when booking and setting up a room block, especially with the suites! We were surprised (perhaps by our own omission) to find only 1 bed in the 2 room suite. Everything else was great. Thanks!

Where to begin? Planning a wedding is never easy, but everyone at The Simsbury Inn was amazing to work with. Lengthy communications with Jeanine about booking rooms for everyone were always so easy. She was always there with an answer when we had questions. The staff at the front desk was great, and the management was amazing and of course the rooms were all nice and clean. My husband and I had an incredible weekend stay at The Simsbury Inn for our recent wedding at The Riverview. Everything was comfortable, clean, and enjoyable. We had an incredible experience with Jeanine Mossey in preparation for our wedding weekend, with reserving a block of rooms for our wedding guests, reserving the Bridal Suite, and preparing for our visit. I cannot say enough about the Simsbury Inn! My daughter got married at The Riverview, and our wedding party stayed at The Simsbury Inn. We also hosted a breakfast at the Inn the morning after the wedding. Jeanine, the Sales Manager, is an expert at what she does. From the beginning, she guided me through the planning process, arranging suites for the bride and groom (which were fabulous!), a block of rooms for our guests, and a beautiful, delicious breakfast. We had a wonderful experience at the Simsbury Inn, and I highly recommend them.

The Simsbury Inn was our venue for our wedding on 11/11/22. It was the most perfect place we could've ever asked for in a venue. Jeanine Mossey was our event coordinator. She is the perfect person for that job- very organized, has great suggestions and always making sure we were satisfied! The food at the Simsbury Inn is SUPERB. Every guest that came up to us said how phenomenal the food was. The chicken laurel is 10/10. Our cake from their bakery was moist and delicious. The appetizers were awesome, too!Every server/employee at our wedding was so kind and helpful. Jeanine, Leighton, Laurie- Thank you for everything! Laurie was our captain and during cocktail hour I was getting my hair fixed in my room- Laurie came with cocktails and appetizers for me so I didn't miss out. All in all- a great venue, very organized, reasonably priced with amazing employees.

We got married at the Riverview in August 2022 and used the Simsbury Inn as our hotel. Jeanine was amazing to deal with - she answered all our questions in a timely manner and was extremely accommodating. The Inn kept the bar open for us, then once closed we were able to continue celebrating in the lobby late night. The hotel itself was beautiful and clean.

The Simsbury Inn brought all of my wedding dreams to life! Patti and the rest of the Simsbury Inn team were absolutely incredible during the entire planning process. The Inn itself is a wonderful, quaint wedding location - all of our guests loved the feel of the Inn and the convenience of staying at the same location as the reception.The food and cake were top-notch. Timeless, beautiful, organized, effortless, delicious food/CAKE & magical!!\"I truly had the most wonderful wedding weekend - My wedding day coordinator was Jeanine and let me tell you, she knows her wedding stuff!! She was so helpful and had such great expertise, advice, guidance, and enthusiasm for my wedding day. Jeanine assisted me with the timeline, where to take pictures, food/decor suggestions, answered ALL my questions, and so much more. She came to the bridal suite right before the ceremony to check in and say hello (that was so special), helped bustle my dress, and carried out the line-up/introductions to the reception. The day/timeline went so smoothly & I was treated like a total princess because they had everything handled (I was total type A when it came to the organization - but I was able to relax and just enjoy my day). Shortly after my HUSBAND and I got back to Simsbury for pictures after our ceremony at St. Mary's Church, we were greeted by Lori & another waitstaff (Chelsea? - sorry I suck at names!!) with champagne and horderves who waited on us the whole time. Following us around helping with my dress, serving us much needed food/drink, assisting the videographer/photographer and just positive/fun attitudes! I didn't expect this at all, such a bonus! All my vendors communicated effectively with the Simsbury staff and worked together nicely. I believe we ended up having around 150-155 (invited about 185)people actually attend and there was plenty of room and guests felt comfortable. It is such a beautiful venue, I can't say enough about that, beautiful spacious Talcott Room for getting ready and the bridal suite, Evergreens Room for rehearsal dinner & cocktail hour, of course the Laurel Ballroom for the reception/brunch the next day. I believe the only small tiny issue we had was the security guard ending the party a bit too early - possibly due to a variety of factors including communication - regardless it didn't ruin the weekend. The cake was gorgeous - and everyone raved about how delicious and unique it was (Guinness chocolate toffee cake), I'd highly recommend that one!! Overall, Simsbury has great packages that have a lot included to make wedding planning effortless, magical, and a great weekend for guests. We are all still talking about it & everyone raves about how much fun they had. Such a great time, a big thank you to Jeanine and the staff at the Simsbury Inn!!

The venue itself is gorgeous and the food was excellent. Our guests were impressed and raves about it. I wish I could give 10 stars.

My husband and I have nothing but great things to stay about the Simsbury Inn! We had our wedding reception in the ballroom on October 9th and it was everything we could have imagined and more. Working with coordinator Jeanine was an absolute pleasure and every single hotel staff member that we encountered were so incredibly nice and accommodating to anything we needed. We will definitely be making a point to return to the Simsbury Inn at least once a year as it has left such a great, memorable experience with us!

I recently had my wedding reception at the Simsbury Inn. Our guests commented on how wonderful the food tasted and how attentive the staff were to every need. Many of our guests also used the Inn to stay overnight and we hosted a brunch the next morning. If you are looking for an elegant, classy venue for any event, I highly recommend the Simsbury Inn. Thank you to Patti and her staff for making our special day so memorable and stress free!

We had our wedding here on October 18, 2019, and honestly, it was perfect. From the day we booked the venue through getting ready the day of, Patti was there every step of the way. Firstly, the venue is perfect if your are looking for quaint New England charm. We had 35 guests from Ireland (in addition to the 100 Americans) and they kept remarking on how beautiful the rooms were and just the overall Inn. Also, the location of historic Simsbury (especially during peak foliage season) is just beautiful. Secondly, Patti is on point with every detail. She is responsive, attentive and experienced. I must have sent her 75 e-mails over the course of wedding planning and she always responded immediately, addressing my questions and providing options or suggestions (if asked). They day of the wedding literally went perfect. From the happy hour, to the reception and food, to the after-party, everything looked beautiful, tasted delicious and flowed smoothly. I can't thank Patti and her team enough for pulling off such a grand affair and helping make it a night to remember. Highly recommend The Simsbury Inn and their team.

We had our ceremony and reception at The Simsbury Inn on 09/28 and it was everything we had hoped for and more! Our wedding coordinator Jeanine was amazing in helping us put the day together and having it run smoothly. Their attention to detail is amazing. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how delicious all of the food was. The hotel is beautiful, with classic New England charm and character! Loved every second of our day there!

The moment I walked through the Simsbury Inn and saw how beautiful everything was, I knew this was the place where I wanted to get married. I worked with Jeanine through the entire process and she was amazing. She would always get back to my emails quickly and she did an amazing job coordinating everything for our perfect day. We were married outside on the grounds, had our cocktail hour in their Evergreens restaurant, and the reception in their main ballroom. I used their complementary center pieces for the cocktail hour and then brought in my own centerpieces and decorations for the reception. Jeanine and her team decorated everything for me and made sure everything was beautiful and perfect. My guests have continued to tell me how beautiful the wedding was and how wonderful the food was. The Simsbury Inn has a wonderful selection of entrees and Hors d'oeuvre to choose from and also provided a beautiful wedding cake. I loved that everything was done in their one location, and they only do one wedding a day so everything is dedicated to you that day. Their rooms for the guests and the bridal suite are comfortable and very nice. The entire night of the wedding, my husband and I had an attendant dedicated to us, her name was Laurie, and she was very attentive and wonderful the entire time. There isn't enough good things that I can say or mention about the Simsbury Inn. I loved my wedding and it was truly a special day. I am so grateful to Jeanine and their entire staff for making our day so perfect!

The Simsbury Inn blew away my expectations for what I pictured for my wedding. Not only is the setting gorgeous and the price reasonable, but the staff is incredible and each one went above and beyond for all that I needed. First of all, Patti knows exactly what she is doing and worked closely with us through every step of the way. Her and her staff made me feel so comfortable. They also set up everything how I wanted, were flexible with the timing of our reception and cocktail hour, and put my at ease throughout the whole process. They also set up everything how I wanted, were flexible with the timing of our reception and cocktail hour, and put my at ease throughout the whole process. Jeanine the event planner took care of every little detail and was on site the entire time making sure everything went smoothly. She also took care of all the details leading up to the wedding.Her recommendations for vendors were wonderful. The hair and make-up team did an amazing job on all the girls and the private bridal salon was perfect. We reserved the Evergreen room for cocktail hour which was set up beautifully and the hors d'oevres never stopped and were all delicious. I highly recommend this venue for any couple, things couldn't have been better.

I don't even know where to begin....from the first moment my husband and I walked into the Inn, we knew it would be the perfect place for our wedding reception! We worked with Jeanine from start to finish; she is super knowledgeable and made planning our big day seamless. She was always quick to respond to e-mails/calls which is greatly appreciated during planning! Her many efforts throughout the entire process ensured a perfect day for us!!We stayed at the Inn the entire weekend with 50+ guests and can't say enough about it! The rooms are gorgeous, the food is exceptional (especially Sunday brunch!!), the Inn is super clean, and the staff was always super friendly. Flash forward to our wedding day. Our \"captain\" for the night was Laurie; she was so sweet, super attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly! She even decorated our suite for us at the end of the night! She truly went above and beyond to make our night one we will never forget!The ballroom itself was set-up perfectly and the food was incredible, we received multiple compliments from our guests! I would highly recommend to any couples looking for a reception venue in CT to check out the Simsbury Inn. Their top package was by far the most inclusive that we looked at and one of the most reasonably priced. The property is a quaint, New England inn that has everything you could possibly need to stage a beautiful wedding. Our wedding coordinator was Jeanine Mossey. She is very, very good at her job - organized and direct. She helped keep the day on track and our wedding party in line. Lori, our captain at dinner, was so kind and helpful. The entire staff all around was very accommodating. I'd give them 5+ stars if I could.

From the moment we visited and toured to leaving the day after our wedding, everything was phenomenal. We used Simsbury Inn as our hotel for both the night before and the night of the wedding because we had many guests from out of state, had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and after party there, while also getting ready there during the day of the wedding. We owe so much to Patti Candels, Director of Catering, for making this happen, as well as ALL of the incredible staff that work there. Patti worked very closely with us from day one to make our dream wedding a reality, and not a single detail was missed. She was there both Friday and Saturday to make sure everything ran smoothly, along with a maitre’d on Saturday to ensure we were VERY well taken care of. This venue is gorgeous, affordable, and includes so much which makes the planning process very easy. You will not have to worry about a thing. We decided to use the rose centerpieces the venue provides and they were absolutely beautiful. The food, both at cocktail hour and dinner, was amazing. Our cake was not only the BEST cake I have ever had, but it was also gorgeous. Fabulous service. Beautiful grounds and building. Words are inadequate to express how absolutely AMAZING the Simsbury Inn was as a wedding venue. From the very beginning, Patti had a handle on absolutely everything, including our random changes to the reception start time and last-minute guest list additions. The second we pulled up and I stepped out of the limo, I was greeted by Laurie, our wedding wizard, who took our drink orders and handled every last detail throughout the night. My husband was in shock that his jacket, which he ditched halfway through the dancing, made it back to our room - but Laurie took care of it! The food was outstanding, the cake got rave reviews, and Patti and her team decorated everything flawlessly. We loved the indoor/outdoor areas and the fact that we had an easy place for our out of town guests to stay. We loved that we could retire to the patio after the wedding for a nightcap with our family and friends. We loved the wedding cake that was left for us in our room, because we missed it at the reception. We loved the centerpieces the Inn provided, checking one big item off our list. It has made us smile to hear that our guests had such a good time. We loved celebrating our wedding here, and I would seriously recommend that all future couples stop looking - this is it!

The Simsbury Inn was nothing short of amazing. From the very first meeting, Jeanine was on top of every single detail. The venue itself is a stunning property which has a beautiful New England feel. The rooms are beautiful along with a very friendly staff. Coordinating the wedding from Michigan could have been a challenge, but Jeanine was there to answer every call and email promptly and was able to work our needs into our very few trips home prior to the wedding.We had our cocktail hour at the Evergreens Restaurant and it was just beautiful. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious. And the cake! The baker was in house there and our cake was not only stunning and exactly what we asked for, it was delicious!!\r\rEverything about our wedding at The Simsbury Inn was flawless. We did not have to worry about a single thing. They even provide staff to tend to the bride and groom the night of which was wonderful. They moved all our gifts, cards, leftover food (plus desserts and after wedding snacks) to our room and we didn't have to think about a thing!\r\rThe ballroom was recently renovated and it is beautiful. So elegant and charming. Beautiful floor length linens, tablecloths and napkins are provided along with rose centerpieces if you do not have your own. We had a florist do our centerpieces so Jeanine incorporated the included rose centerpieces into the cocktail room. I do not have a single bad thing to say. Everything about our wedding day was perfect and I owe it all to Jeanine and the Simsbury Inn. Thank you!!!\r\r

I had the pleasure of getting married at the Simsbury Inn a couple of weeks ago...They made my fantasy wedding come to life. \rFor the past year their event coordinator, Patti Candels, worked with me via email, phone calls and in person to answer all my questions, listen to all my requests and give me advice when I was unsure about certain details. \rMy wedding went so smoothly, from the ceremony on the front lawn, to cocktail hour, to the amazing reception in the ballroom and even the after party in the bar. \rAll our guests raved about how good their meals were and the pastry chef made the most delicious (and BEAUTIFUL!) cake. The entire staff was so accommodating and friendly and the venue itself is just exquisite.\rI can't say enough about what a wonderful experience my wedding was...if you're looking for a venue with New England charm, where all your guests can stay in one place please do yourself a favor and get married at the Simsbury Inn.

I had the pleasure of getting married at the Simsbury Inn a couple of weeks ago...They made my fantasy wedding come to life. \rFor the past year their event coordinator, Patti Candels, worked with me via email, phone calls and in person to answer all my questions, listen to all my requests and give me advice when I was unsure about certain details. \rMy wedding went so smoothly, from the ceremony on the front lawn, to cocktail hour, to the amazing reception in the ballroom and even the after party in the bar. \rAll our guests raved about how good their meals were and the pastry chef made the most delicious (and BEAUTIFUL!) cake. The entire staff was so accommodating and friendly and the venue itself is just exquisite.\rI can't say enough about what a wonderful experience my wedding was...if you're looking for a venue with New England charm, where all your guests can stay in one place please do yourself a favor and get married at the Simsbury Inn.

I cannot say enough good things about the Simsbury Inn! Our wedding was gorgeous, our guests have not stopped complimenting the Inn, the food was wonderful, the venue beautiful, and the staff helpful, friendly, professional, and easy to work with. \r\rWe worked with both Jeanine and Patty, the event coordinators, and both were great. They were available and helpful and had great suggestions. Planning was easy and set up as well. We also rented evergreens restaurant for our cocktail hour prior to entering the ballroom. It was lovely. The Simsbury inn provided the centerpieces, though we chose to use them for the cocktail hour in the Evergreens and had our own florist do the ballroom (Amy Tyler, who works with the Inn often and was awesome). The Inn-provided centerpieces were perfect! Our cake was also provided by the Inn and I am still getting compliments on just how tasty the cake was - guests have even asked to contact the Inn so that they might order one for themselves!\r\rThe Inn and staff took excellent care of my groom and I - we didn't get to eat much during dinner since we were greeting our guests. Our staff Captain, Marie, made sure Mike and I were brought drinks and appetizers and that our dinner was waiting in our room after we'd missed the dinner hour. As a surprise, also waiting in our room was a bottle champagne, extra large slices of cake, little deserts, chocolate dipped strawberries, and sandwiches - we could not have felt more looked after! It was just wonderful. \r\rAfter our wedding, the bar at the Inn stayed open until 1am for those guests who wished to stay up and purchase drinks and the Inn set us up with local food delivery - we ordered a few pizzas for the after party and enjoyed a beautiful night on the Inn's front patio.\r\rAll in all it was perfect - elegant and lovely but comfortable for everyone. I highly recommend the Inn - they are good at what they do!

We can't wait to go back next year for our anniversary!!\rThank you Patti for all you did, you are amazing!!!

The Simsbury Inn was a great choice in hotels. The Inn was also convenient for my guests because the venue for our wedding was across the street. They offered shuttle service between the hotel and the venue, even though it was within walking distance. My guests all enjoyed their stay at the Inn. The Inn was a great mix of quaint enough to feel homey and fancy enough to feel like a vacation. Their dining arrangements was a sit down dining as well as a buffet style in a lounge type of area. It was the perfect blend of casual if you wanted it or fancy if you preferred. My guests loved the food as well. The Inn also allowed my parents to visit with our family members even though they weren't staying at the Inn, which my parents appreciated since our family came from all over the country. The Inn is in a great location, just minutes from downtown Simsbury. My husband and I even stayed at the Inn for our wedding night, an experience we both enjoyed. The Inn also allowed us to bring in welcome bags for them to distribute to our guests. \r\rWe did have one issue with our shuttles not getting booked properly. However, the Inn went out of their way to correct the issue allowing us to have shuttles for our guests. \r\rThe Simsbury Inn is highly recommended!

The Sumsbury Inn was exactly what I was hoping for in a wedding venue, and more. My husband and I wanted to have one venue for ceremony, reception and hotel that was unique and polished but also made everyone feel like home. The Simsbury Inn did just that. I just got married at the Simsbury Inn this past weekend and had the wedding of my dreams. I cannot say enough good things about The Simsbury Inn- from the service to the food to the accommodations- everything throughout the planning process has been excellent and my wedding day was better than I could have ever imagined. The Inn itself is beyond adorable and even though I had 180 people at my wedding, the whole thing felt very intimate. I have the catering manager, Patti Candels to thank for making not only my wedding day, but the planning process easy and stress free. She was so helpful during the entire process and it was clear from the beginning that she knows her stuff! I'm very type A and wanted everything very planned out and she never made me feel like my questions were silly or annoying. Her responses were always prompt and she gave her honest opinion about everything which I truly appreciated. I am honestly going to miss working with her- that's how great she truly was! I don't think I could write enough great things about the Simsbury Inn, but all of my guests told me that it was the prettiest, most fun, and amazing wedding they've been to. The Inn accommodated everyone so no one had to leave the property afterwards which was very convenient. My bridal suite was in the King Philips Suite which was large enough for hair/makeup artists as well as a whole spread on the bar for breakfast. Our cocktail hour was in Evergreens which was beautiful and plenty spacious for 180 people. The food was delicious all around and all of the staff were truly amazing and helpful. I wish I could go back and do it all over again because everything went so perfectly. I can't wait to go back every year on our anniversary!

I had a great experience working with the Simsbury Inn for my ceremony and reception. \r\rThe package we chose was a great value - drinks, food and cake all included, with options to add or remove courses that allowed us to keep within budget. It also included a free night in the bridal suite, which was so convenient, and the room was beautiful.\r\rOur coordinator, Jeanine was really attentive, answering any questions that came up. The property is absolutely beautiful and because they only host one wedding per day, I was the exclusive on-property bride and had the rights to all on-site photography.\r\rThere is a new glass atrium which leads out to the private patio off of the ballroom so my guests were able to enjoy cocktail hour outdoors. (And having spectcular weather that day, it was so nice that they were able to enjoy it!) \r\rThe food was also delicious! The filet mignon could be cut with a fork and the salmon with horseradish crust and lemon beurre blanc was so different than you typically find at a restaurant. \rThe staff was so attentive, and my server Alexis was there each time I needed something. And especially Patti Candels, the Director of Catering, who offered me guidance all through my planning.\r\rIt was a day to remember forecer!

They let us go to our honeymoon suite and relax for about 20 mins before we entered into our reception and they brought us a tray of appetizers. They made the process easy and beautiful. They have an in house bakery chef and the cake was absolutely amazing - they also will make you a small cake within one year of your wedding instead of having to freeze the top of the cake! She helped us bring in different wines than they offered and they paid attention to every little detail that we asked for. They were absolutely fabulous and I would recommend them to everyone!!

Lovely sourroundings and reasonable prices so all our friends and family could stay over for the weekend. The food was delcious too! I cannot say enough great things about this place. \r\rFor the day of the wedding I had the bridal suite that opens to a small function room for all of my ladies to get ready in. We had brunch while getting our hair and makeup done- it was super relaxing and really fun girl time. They really think of all the details here. I am a former event planner who has been a bridesmaid many times and the service was above and beyond my expectations. \r\rWe had 200 guests at our wedding and took up about half the guest rooms at the inn. It was the perfect size for us. We were able to have the destination wedding feel without worrying about booking the whole place as some inns expect. Patti, our wedding coordinator was amazing, she handled all the reception details on the big day, I didn't have to worry about a thing and was able to just relax and enjoy! \r\rAlso, if you're trying to save money like us, you can do 3 hours open bar and then switch over to cash. This was the best deal I have seen for any reception of this calliber and our guests had plenty during that time.

In the end, we were only doing this once and LOVED the feeling we had when in the rooms and talking with the staff. Everyone of our guests who booked a room, had such amazing words about the staff they spoke with other the phone. I am so glad we had our wedding here!

Our experience with the Simsbury Inn was easy and fun from start to finish. Unlike many other venues, they only host one wedding a day and make everything about you. I was blown away with how accommodating they were with everything we wanted. I can't say enough great things about this venue.

I am so grateful to the amazing staff that helped put my reception together. I didn't have to worry about a thing!! It was a flawless evening that I was able to spend with family and friends thanks to the amazing people at the Simsbury Inn!

We used the Simsbury Inn for our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner. It was FANTASTIC. We live in NJ, but had to plan a rehearsal dinner in CT. My husband and I drove up in March and went to several places to try to find something. After meeting Janine at the Simsbury Inn..our search ended and we even cancelled some appointments at other places. From start to finish, she was SO helpful and professional. She helped us to plan a custom upscale barbecue buffet, complete with delicious fried chicken, ribs, corn on the cob, french fries and lots more. It was beautifully displayed outside on covered patio,on a wonderful August evening. The checkered table clothes, lights, hanging ferns, bar area and appetizer display.... A+. Our guests had a great time, and it was a breeze for us with their expertise. By the way, when we mentioned one of our guests had Celiac disease, they made her a special meal. The banquet manager attending to us that night, was FANTASTIC...and the bartender? EXCELLENT. We are so happy with this choice. SIMPLE.

We recently were married and our reception was at the Simsbury Inn. The food received multiple compliments, both the meals and the appetizers. The bar tenders were great with making sure that there were never lines for people obtaining drinks. The reception room is a little older but it is in a New England Inn type setting so it is very fitting to the type of environment where it is located. The event planners at the venue are very easy to work with and make the event planning very stress free. The per person guest price includes the meals, drinks, small flower arrangements and the cake. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for an all-inclusive way to plan a wedding.

Great service, good food. nice setting with cozy overnight accomodations for guests.;recption room is an odd shape and if cocktail hour is held inside, the cocktails area is tight.

The Simsbury Inn was perfect for us because we had many out of town guests. It has all the amenities of a high class hotel, but felt like a mansion and not a high rise. Our guests were able to spend the night which meant no one had to travel after the reception. The food was delicous, and the wedding coordinators helped us figure out every detail. The guests raved about the place! Included in the wedding package was a suite for the bride and groom complete with champagne and fresh turkey sandwiches for a late night snack!;We found the dance floor a bit small, so consider checking with them about dance floor options.
