The Sinclair on G Street offers the old-time beauty only found in some of San Diego's most historic buildings: original exposed brick, vaulted ceilings, open beams, and beautiful wood floors offer a blank canvas for you to envision your wedding. With 5,700 Sq. Ft. of imaginative space between two levels, you really can make this space whatever you want it to be. The main floor (street level) is 4,200 Sq. Ft. and provides the perfect reception venue and the downstairs 1,500 Sq. Ft. includes beautiful bridal get-ready rooms, three additional satellite bars and extra room for your guests to enjoy themselves on your special day. Nestled in the trendy Gaslamp District of downtown San Diego, the building is walkable to some of the most hip parts of downtown: 5th Ave, Petro Park, etc. Come envision your big day in this space!
We had an amazing experience from beginning to end of our wedding journey. Megan and Alexis were making with communication from getting our tour booked, picking our date, and getting everything ready for the big day. I loved a lot about this venue. It just has a simple natural beauty to it with the brick, lighting, and high-ceilings. It made it easy for me to do simple decorations because the venue really shined by itself. I loved that we were able to flow throughout the night to the cocktail hour downstairs, and that we had our dance floor separate from the reception tables. We had 100 guests attend and it was the perfect size for everyone. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding; I even have been recommending the space to people for any event! Thank you so much to the Sinclair team on making our day perfection. Reviewed on 11-12-2023

Michelle Lavin(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-09-2020 Let me start by saying COVID.. Trying to plan and get married in the middle of this is HARD and I wouldn't have wanted to walk through that with any other venue other then the Pannikin. Megan (the Owner) has kept me in the loop, communicated, and has been so flexible! All I could have asked for. I could not recommend her and the Pannikin enough! Reviewed on 25-07-2020
Kyla Brennan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-09-2019 We took a chance on this place for our wedding ceremony + reception, as it had just been recently renovated and there weren't many reviews yet. I'm so glad we did! Here's why:1. The building is truly beautiful. Its gorgeous wood floors, exposed brick, high beam ceilings and interesting original details (like the arc cutouts in the walls) make for a stunning canvas on which to plan your event. It's great because it works for all kinds of budgets and styles--it can be totally transformed to fit a unique aesthetic (like we did for our \"neon tropical\" wedding), but it can also have very minimal decor (aka smaller budget!!) and still be a really classy and impressive backdrop for your event.2. The owner is so nice, accommodating, flexible and reasonable. I also love that she's a young woman owner!!3. The location is PERFECT. It's within walking distance of so many hotels and the whole Gaslamp scene, but it somehow feels separated from the bad parts of downtown. It's like this cool urban oasis - smack in the middle of everything yet it's own little world. Here's my biggest tip when touring this place and trying to envision it for your wedding or event: be flexible in how you see the space! They label a lot of areas within the building, but I hardly used any for what they were intended for, and the layout worked soooo perfectly for me and my event. For instance, they have this super cool downstairs area that you could use as an awesome bar area, lounge, etc. - but I chose not to allow guests down there at all because for our 125 person wedding, it would have felt too sparse for the guests to spread out over the two floors. Instead, we used it as a setup area for the caterers (this is good to keep in mind! The kitchen is very small, but if you can allot more of the downstairs for kitchen prep etc, it works out fabulously for any hesitant caterers). There is also a room down there they were referring to as the grooms suite, but I used it as the bridal suite and again, PERFECTION. Megan (owner) has it very nicely outfitted with couches, cute decor and a great full length mirror to get ready. You can then enter the upstairs from one of two ways. It was so key for me throughout the wedding. Also, there is a kind of sunken area in the back they think of as the dance floor, but we opted to put our own dance floor in the main area and use that sunken place for a photo booth and a quieter lounge area - again, to keep guests mainly staying in one place. And that setup was amazing for us and our purposes. We had multiple guests comment on the building and how beautiful it was, both when it was fully decked out on the day of the wedding AND when we were doing our rehearsal in the completely empty space.I am a picky person (ok, I'm a total perfectionist slash control freak) , and I can say that this was the perfect venue for our wedding. If I had it to do all over again, I would choose this place in a heartbeat. Reviewed on 03-10-2019

This venue is PERFECT for the couple wanting a neutral, modern yet industrial with a hint of character feel and look. The exposed brick walls, original hardwood floors and beautiful natural light is everything!!! Plus it's downtown in historic San Diego. You can't find spaces like this there. Megan is so sweet and helpful and one of the best venue owners/managers we've worked with. She's genuine and you can tell she loves doing this. This is also a great spot for corporate events, workshops, rehearsal dinners, parties and any other type of event. Seriously go tour this space because it's even prettier in person! Hello! My name is Megan Schutz and I am the business owner and Lead Venue Manager. I opened this venue because it is my passion to help couples create their dream wedding in our space. I want people to ENVISION their wedding and afterwards, DREAM of its magic and relive the thrill and excitement of the day. And to do so for the rest of their lives just like I do my own wedding day. The Sinclair on G Street is just that—a building. But it’s really so much more than that: it’s a beautiful, unique, historic downtown San Diego building that will serve as a blank canvas for event creation.
