The Sixpence Wedding + Event Space is a premier venue servicing the Greater Indianapolis area and beyond. Spanning 17 acres of rolling property, The Sixpence features 3 multi-functional spaces, all highlighting the coexistence of aesthetic beauty and practical functionality. The Barn at Sixpence is an 8,000 sq. ft. ceremony/reception hall. It includes a caterer's prep kitchen, huge bar, large private getting-ready suites for our couples, 4-stall bathrooms for both men and women, and full HVAC with heated floors. The Sixpence features a 300 guest capacity. Our indoor ceremony space option and all 3 outdoor ceremony space options are both beautiful and functional - whether you envision getting married in our ballroom-like interior barn, lush lawn, outdoor patio ceremony space, or new wooded ceremony space. Celebrate your special day or weekend at The Sixpence and enjoy the seclusion and natural beauty of the property, along with practical, purpose-designed features for your convenience. Shelby Henry, Co-Founder and Lead Designer of The Sixpence Wedding + Event Space, has an extensive background in wedding photography and videography which informed her vision for this project: she believes that couples should not have to sacrifice either beauty or functionality for their special day. We also believe that every wedding is different, and want to offer a beautiful blank canvas for you to make uniquely yours. The Homestead at Sixpence is a renovated 1851 saltbox farmhouse available for overnight or full weekend rentals. This charming home sleeps up to 10, includes getting ready spaces, a full kitchen, and a beautiful extended deck under oak trees and string lights. Pantry stocking services also available. The Workshop at Sixpence is a renovated garage hangout space complete with pool table, darts, car lift, bar, TVs, and getting ready spaces. I got married at the Sixpence on 9/22/2023 and it was pure magic. There are truly no words to describe the feeling that my now husband and I felt when we walked through the doors of the Sixpence for the first time. I was so beyond picky when it came to finding my dream venue but I remember walking in and feeling so much peace and JOY! My husband and I walked out of there and knew immediately it was the place where we would get married. Everything leading up to the wedding day was so great. Their team is passionate, organized, punctual, professional, and just overall so so wonderful. The planning meetings that were held prior to the big day were so incredibly helpful and also so much fun. My husband and I went to every single open house just because we wanted to \"see and be at our venue\". We were so obsessed and truly always will be. The day of my wedding I got to see my vision come to life at the most extraordinary venue. I remember pulling up at 7:00am to start my day and it was just so quiet, serene and peaceful. We got married outside, did cocktail hour outside and then held our reception inside. We got lucky with a very beautiful day but even if it rained, we did not have to \"sacrifice\" our vision in any way because the inside is JUST as beautiful and a true MOMENT. Something I really loved about the Sixpence is the ability to truly make it your own, they have different areas where you can get married, they allow you to bring in your own vendors (of course they have a preferred list) and they really just allow you to tailor the day in the way that suits you best. The Sixpence and their team will forever have a special place in my heart, I cannot recommend them enough!

The Sixpence is the most beautiful, functional, and efficient venue out there. As a fellow wedding vendor no venue compares to the Sixpence. It was so thoughtfully and intentional designed from the little details of a hook to hang the wedding dress in their massive bridal suite to the entire reception hall facing the west so you can see the sunset in the evenings. Their team was nothing but the best and very clear in their communication and willing to help however they could. Will forever be promoting this venue as the most perfect venue ever.

The Sixpence is the most beautiful, functional, and efficient venue out there. As a fellow wedding vendor no venue compares to the Sixpence. It was so thoughtfully and intentional designed from the little details of a hook to hang the wedding dress in their massive bridal suite to the entire reception hall facing the west so you can see the sunset in the evenings. My husband and I got married at The Sixpence in June of 2022, with about 170 guests, and loved our experience! The venue is beautiful inside and out!! The design of the venue allowed us to design our wedding how WE wanted our wedding to look and feel. We were able to fit all of our guests in the same space for dinner, which was important for us to not feel like we were excluding any of our guests. During our reception some of our guests wanted to dance, others wanted to chat and even on a rainy afternoon, where everyone was inside, there was plenty of space for both activities. The lighting in the venue is amazing and the grounds around the venue are perfect for photos. The Sixpence is an elegant venue that is about you on your wedding day!

Couldn’t recommend The Sixpence enough. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Shelby designed this venue with such an incredible eye and did not miss a detail. The staff is professional, kind, & so wonderful. Kristin helped us during our venue meetings and was efficient, thorough, and made sure all questions were answered. Tamme & Grace were wonderful help on the day of - I didn’t have a worry in the world. My photographer loved the black and white aesthetic to have as a starting point for all of the photos and the lighting in the venue and on the property in insane!! I received so many compliments from guests on the beauty of the venue. Love love love!!!!

My (now) husband and I chose to have our September wedding at the Sixpence and it was the best decision we could have made. We live downtown Chicago and were looking at venues near and far - from Petoskey, MI to Nashville, TN. Our search was quickly halted after visiting the Sixpence and meeting Shelby, her father, and the Sixpence team. They were so welcoming and absolutely blew us away. They made the planning process seamless and truly listened to the visions we had for our big day, including allowing us to bring in our own custom beer, 10 person band, and a local mixologist to create two custom craft cocktails - it was truly a dream come true. The venue itself has everything you could ask for. The on-site bridal and grooms suites allowed our special day to feel even longer. We cannot thank Shelby and her team enough for making our wedding everything we had hoped for and more.

The Sixpence was an amazing venue and team from the minute we walked in the doors to view the venue! It is absolutely STUNNING and when building the sixpence they spared no details to make it every Bride and Grooms dream! My husband and I got married 12/08/2023 and couldn’t have imagined it being anywhere else. The team at the Sixpence is so incredibly helpful through the whole process and the day of! The BEST venue! The Sixpence is a dream, we loved our day! Everything from mimosas for the bridesmaids in the morning or customizing the color of the bar countertop- everything was truly personal as it is a perfect blank canvas to make your own! This wedding venue is aesthetic perfection and was exactly what we were looking for to have a bright, airy, and love filled day. Although it was a 2 hour drive for our guests, they were all stunned by how pretty the venue was and loved the atmosphere! The Sixpence team is amazing + we also loved the vendors they had on their preferred vendor list. Jack and I got married right out of college, so we were the first of our friends and family to get married. This means we were lost when it came to planning a wedding. We found the sixpence when first searching for a venue. Immediately when we arrived for our tour I knew it was the one. The staff here is incredible and made us feel so supported-even with us having so many questions about planning a wedding in general! They were so patient with us and truly gave us the wedding of our dreams. All of our guests still tell us that our wedding was one of the most beautiful ones they have ever been to, and that’s all thanks to the sixpence! Truly so grateful for this venue and team

The Sixpence was 10/10 to work with every step of the way!! We got married at the Sixpence in May, and it was the most perfect day! The owner, Shelby, is incredibly talented, kind, organized, and she knows the wedding industry like the back of her hand. Her entire team is top tier!! In addition to the obviously beautiful ceremony and reception spaces, the bridal getting ready area is beautiful, and the natural lighting makes for the best photos!! We’ve also gotten TONS of compliments from the groomsmen on the men’s barn area! So fun and a step ahead of every other venue in the area. I was also pleasantly surprised by the bar staff and their mixologist that helped us choose our signature drinks. They even ordered a special liquor from Italy that I wanted! They really do everything they can to make your day magical! The Sixpence is a classic, timeliness venue that is constantly adding new elements to stay ahead of the trends, and I cannot recommend them enough!!! TOTALLY worth the investment!!

The chandeliers, the picture perfect details, and the phenomenal staff are just the beginning of everything you will experience along your wedding journey. The Sixpence not only was our Wedding Venue, it was our dream come true from the very moment we walked in the door. It was so easy to envision ourselves getting married in such a stunning place - every detail mattered, down to the lights, the colors and the overall aesthetic. The team is full of warm, professional and knowledgable people who are so quick to go above and beyond all your wishes. We were amazed at how important and special we felt - as if we were the only couple getting married here and our story, details, and vision were all that mattered. From the start of our wedding day, someone was constantly available to assist and help execute any tasks. Kristin and Shelby both stepped in to help our processional, guide guests to their seats, and even assisted in bussing our tables, and pouring water when our caterer was lacking in that aspect. This team does not hesitate - they do what needs to be done without a complaint or worry in the world. This is what you want for your day - and I assure you, this is what you will get. If you're looking for that unique, one-of-a-kind experience, filled with luxury, class, elegance, and just overall stunning aesthitic? We truly had the perfect wedding day 7/22/22 thanks to The Sixpence. Such a beautiful venue and extremely flexible. A huge selling point from us was the provided tables and chairs, as well as flexibility with catering and the bar. Will forever love this venue!

If you’re looking for a beautiful venue that has so much to offer in one place, The Sixpence is it. Right after I got engaged, the first venue I toured (& immediately booked shortly after) was The Sixpence. The space was purposefully built with a photographer’s lens in mind, which makes it that much more unique. We booked our venue when they were still building, but it was the best decision. Shelby and her team are passionate about helping make your day the best it can be & are there to answer any questions you have. The amount of people the space can accommodate with the beautiful open space & large parking lot was a huge bonus for us. From getting ready in the airy bridal suite to partying on the dance floor later that night, the Sixpence team made every transition so smooth. I can’t speak highly enough about this place, the people, and the experience you could have there too. The Sixpence, their team, and Shelby (& her photography/videography business Amavi - who we also used & loved) will always have a special place in my heart!

We booked while the venue was still under construction because we fell in love with the people and the vision. Shelby is such a kind human and her staff is top notch! She created such a unique & beautiful space for your big day and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. Highly highly recommend

Our wedding day at the sixpence was beautiful! The venue is incredible and we were so excited to have our day there. The team at the sixpence was communicative and open to our thoughts. We got married within the first full year of operation and even though there were details still coming together logistically for the venue, the team was communicative about such. They also have lots of options for upgrades with opportunity to also keep the day simple if that’s part of your vision.

We booked this venue when it was only a sketch and it turned out to be a DREAM! Like WOWWWW, lets talk about aesthetic!! The lights, the detail, the windows.. it was amazing. Even without the decorations, this place is absolutely stunning. There are several stunning options for where to have the ceremony around the venue and multiple areas for our guests to relax and enjoy themselves at cocktail hour (swing, outdoor couches, indoor tables, upstairs loft area, etc). There was so much beautiful scenery that we never even left the venue for our wedding photos! Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to get married to my husband. Thank you Shelby for making our day a literal dream. I am stunned by your creative, aesthetic mind and how you show the Sixpence to the world! You had an incredible vision and went for it 110%! 🤍 We feel so blessed to have had our magical day at The Sixpence!!

Where do I even begin? The Sixpence brought my Pinterest dream wedding to life. When I first met Shelby, I knew she would do anything and everything to bring my dream to life and that's exactly what her and her team did. From helping with decor and layout designs to just keeping me calm the week of/day of, I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The Sixpence Team truly is composed of truly amazing people - people who genuinely want the absolute world for their brides and grooms and would do anything for them. That's really special and extremely unique. The day of our wedding, Shelby was there for us every step of the way, making sure my husband and I were taken care of and everything was exactly what we wanted. We rented the Workshop and that was AMAZING. My husband and his guys were out there and we never had to worry about running into each other and they were able to have their own space to have fun. The Sixpence also offers a photobooth that you can rent and that was BEYOND worth it! The amenities that The Sixpence offers in their packages are already unmatchable THEN they offer additional add ons which add the cherry on top! And make it easier on us planning wise because it's all in one place! We truly can't say enough great things about the venue and the people. We are beyond grateful that we were able to have our dream wedding at The Sixpence. We are also grateful that we now can consider Shelby and her husband, our friends. That's truly special.

My husband and I had our wedding at The Sixpence in May and I truly don’t have enough wonderful things to say about the venue and the staff. From the moment we booked, we felt valued and celebrated. On the wedding day, we had planned to have our ceremony outside but due to rain, had to last minute switch inside. I never questioned it for a second because the inside is just as beautiful as the outside!! There are so many venues where that would have been such a stressful part of my wedding but with the wonderful options The Sixpence has, it wasn’t a problem at all! The sixpence is so beautiful, a clean slate to design it however you can dream, and the staff is there to help make sure that dream comes to life. From the bridal suite, to the light up bar, to the big windows for optimal lighting- it’s truly a perfect venue!! I cannot recommend it enough!

Shelby Henry (Owner) As a seasoned photographer who has shot more than 300 weddings, I’m no stranger to the wedding industry. I understand all that can go into planning a wedding and finding the perfect venue to uniquely reflect you + yours.Over the last 4 years of photographing weddings, I’ve traveled the world to capture love in some of the most alluring spaces. Exposure to these types of venues prompted my vision for a distinctive, elevated venue in my hometown. Together, my parents and I worked to create something truly special in a place so dear to our hearts - welcome to The Sixpence.
