The Smithville Inn is a wedding venue located in Galloway, NJ. Part of historic Smithville, this venue promises to treat every couple like family. Feel a part of history as you create memories you can treasure forever. The Smithville Inn has been a mainstay of historic Smithville since its inception. Built by James Baremore in 1787, the structure was originally comprised of a single room. Over the course of the succeeding decades, the property grew in size and stature. Abandoned around the turn of the 20th century, the property was purchased and restored in the 1950s by by Ethel and Fred Noyes. Now a historic landmark, the venue is a byword for hospitality and sophistication in the community. Visitors to the Inn will be struck by its atmosphere of homely comfort. Thick wooden ceiling beams give a sense of solidity and protection. This is a building that dates back to a period when buildings were intended to endure. A stone fireplace offers a cheerful gathering place and is a stalwart defender against the winter cold. The Absegami Room, flanked by rows of windows, is bathed in natural light. The Leeds Room is ideal for more intimate gatherings. The low, soft lights are wonderful exemplars of the refinement of early America. Outside, the Courtyard offers a perfect setting for a picturesque ceremony. The trees and flowers provide a lovely frame for the happy couple. The most perfect wedding reception venue!! We were looking for something more intimate and unique and were beyond pleased with the Smithville Inn. The room was simply beautiful and has a wall of floor to ceiling windows with a gorgeous view of the the lake. Erin and Amanda were a pleasure to work with and their attention to detail was flawless. I cannot believe how well they made our vision come to be. The vendors they recommended were excellent and were very familiar with the setup and space which made things flow very well. Our guests are still raving about the food and excellent service during the evening, and many stayed onsite at the Colonial Inn and loved their rooms and the easy accessibility to the events of the weekend. Everyone enjoyed walking around the village shops and the casual, relaxed atmosphere. I could not have been more pleased with our experience.

My husband and I knew we wanted to get married here before we even started looking - Smithville was a beautiful date spot for us as we are local to NJ. I can't recommend this venue any more! The staff is ON POINT, the food is excellent, the venue is GORGEOUS, and the entire location is a charming, romantic get away that everyone raved to us about enjoying for the entire weekend. And for a wedding venue in 2023, this place is reasonably priced. It isn't low-end, but it isn't over the top. I absolutely loved our experience at the Smithville In!!

The most amazing wedding venue!!! The grounds are beautiful, every single person at our wedding said something about how amazing the venue was. The Smithville Inn went above and beyond with our wedding!! Every single detail was perfect and they answered all of my questions super quick. Justine, Erin and Amanda were so friendly and always made me feel confident with how our day was going to turn out. Everyone constantly talks about how great the food at our wedding was and that it was the best they ever had! They accommodated me and my gluten allergy by giving me a custom dinner and putting aside special cocktail hour food for me that I could eat. Every single part of the smithville inn is charming, from when you walk in to the fireplace to the back of the reception with the gorgeous windows with a beautiful view. I couldn’t be happier with our wedding!!

My husband and I got married in December at The Smithville Inn. Smithville is the most incredible place to get married at! We were looking for a unique type of venue that had a more intimate feel. When we first visited Smithville Inn we completely fell in love with it. The banquet staff is excellent. They are extremely down to earth, but 100% know their stuff. They make the process of planning your wedding so simple, but also know how to make sure every single detail is covered and ready for the big day. On our wedding day, we were both extremely calm and present because we knew that everything was in place due to our trusting rapport with the staff. The food, drinks, setting, banquet staff, wait staff was absolutely wonderful and our guests all had the best time! We also loved the fact that they recommended all of our vendors, rehearsal dinner, and guest accommodations. Getting married at Smithville Inn and using the local vendors within the village was the best choice we ever made. We can't wait to continue to make memories by going back to Smithville Inn for dinner on our anniversaries and visiting the village to reminisce on the best day of our lives.

I would book smithville inn over and over again if I could. They are absolutely amazing, I have no complaints. Every question I had they answered and they never made it seem like I was bothering them. Not only is the food some of the best wedding food I have ever had, the prices are so reasonable. The outside ceremony space and the reception room are so beautiful and our pictures came out amazing. You are not going to regret anything if you chose them !

The Smithville Inn was an absolutely amazing venue with everything we needed and wanted for our wedding. Justine and Erin, the wedding coordinators, helped us the whole way. The prices were affordable and the food and cake tasted amazing. The whole venue is gorgeous, especially in the spring time when the pink trees are in bloom! The venue itself is drop-dead gorgeous for that rustic/historic feel. The only drawback is that it can get a tad warm in the reception room, but it didn't stop anyone from dancing for hours! The food is also on point! So many options to choose from for the packages for multiple pallets! The archway for the ceremony outside is beautiful! If you don't get the cherry blossoms during your ceremony, you'll at least have the geese and their babies! The historic town is fantastic to explore after the wedding as well! It's quaint, quiet, and has so much to offer! Thank you, Smithville, for the wedding of my dreams!

I' m going to start this by saying, if a venue is willing to literally vacuum and enitre courtyard to get rid of the rain from the morning of your wedding ( on their own, not at the request of the bride of groom) just so your vision of getting married outside can come true, you hit the jackpot! From venue tour to the day after the big day, Justine and her whole team were absolutely amazing. Smithville Inn itself is a stunning backdrop for a wedding and the food is outstanding (even eating it cold hours after the wedding was over!) The beauty of the inn and the food and all inclusive wedding package honestly sell itself. But what takes then to the next level is the team behind it all. They we're with me every step of the way planning and when the big day came they set everything up to perfection. Following every single one of my instructions, it looked breath-taking and the pictures turned out fantastic because of their attention to detail. Even the clean up crew was fantastic and made sure I didn't leave behind anything important the next day. We highly recommend Smithville Inn for your wedding as they definitely made our dreams come true! We could never thank Justine and the team enough!

Right from the start, the Smithville Inn team was amazing to work with. Justine, Erin and the entire staff was super responsive in answering all our questions. We loved the historic vibe of the venue and the fact that there’s only one wedding per day. You can really feel the personalized attention from their entire team. We did both the ceremony and reception on site, and everything was perfect. The Absegami room was a beautiful, intimate ceremony space that was then quickly transformed into a fun cocktail hour space. The food was incredible! Our guests raved about the food from cocktail hour through dessert. Highly recommend adding the slider station; the brisket sliders were amazing! The bartenders were great, we loved the flexibility of adding alcohol upgrades and including signature wedding drinks. For dessert, we added the milk and cookie bar which was a huge hit with our guests and made for a great favor. From start to finish, the Smithville Inn was amazing and we had the perfect wedding day. We can’t thank their team enough for making our dream wedding a reality!

The place itself is beautiful and gives you such a warm homey feeling as soon as you step in. The ballroom is so gorgeous on its own that you don't have to add much to it at all for your big day! The food is OUTSTANDING, every one of our guests said so and we obviously agree. But, the main thing that makes this venue the absolute BEST are the people. The event staff, Justine and Erin, were SO ACCOMMODATING! SO FLEXIBLE! SO PATIENT!! They were extremely responsive and always so kind and professional (and trust me, we were annoying). I can't say enough about how happy we were with their service. We feel so lucky to have had them on our side. We also felt the servers and everyone we encountered were just the nicest people. We love The Smithville Inn and we will continue to go back and visit as it is the place where we spent the best day of our lives.

The Smithville Inn was our dream wedding venue! The minute we walked in we fell in love with the beautiful reception room and courtyard, and the super friendly staff! During our planning process, Justine was SO helpful, patient, easy to work with, and gave great advice. Hailey was SO sweet and helpful when I asked to do some setup the day before, and was on top of everything the day of our weeding and was also so easy to work with and helped the day flow perfectly. The reception room was exactly what I had hoped for, the food was AMAZING and there was so much of it, and the staff working the reception were just beyond friendly and accommodating. My husband and I as well as our families and our friends couldn’t stop talking about how perfect everything was from start to finish. We truly can’t recommend having your wedding and reception at The Smithville Inn enough!!

Smithville Inn was the perfect place for our wedding! We got married about 3 weeks ago and I am still replaying the perfect day over and over again! My husband and I wanted to choose a venue that was memorable, getting married on a golf course or in a banquet hall was not our style. We wanted a place that would be \"destination\" without the actual getting on a plane part because of Covid. My aunt had gone to a wedding in Smithville Inn and told us to check it out. We first met Justine back in February 2020 right before the pandemic and we ate dinner there that night. Food was delicious, venue was beautiful and we feel in love with the historic village. Throughout the craziness of 2020/2021 the banquet department kept in contact with us the whole time. Justine, Erin and Halie are a fantastic team. Justine is who we worked with the most and she is awesome! Halie was able to bustle dress in 2 mins (thank god cause my mom could not figure it out) They all went above and beyond to make sure communication was clear and quick. They went over everything with us and they set up the reception so beautifully. We got married outside and had the reception inside. I got so many compliments on the décor. I love the room in Smithville, the big windows, the hardwood floor and even the chairs are nice! We had about 120 people, we invited 150 but I am glad it ended being less because I don’t think much more could’ve fit in the room.We were able to book all 30 rooms on the property for our family and friends which made everything so easily accessible for the guests. Everyone went and got lunch and went shopping. The rooms at Colonial Inn, The Village Rooms and The Barn rooms are very nice and up to date. Everyone told us how much FUN the wedding weekend was and now everyone wants to go back for Christmas.If you are looking for a venue that is reasonably priced, fantastic food, great team and not your typical venue, book Smithville Inn.

They went over everything with us and they set up the reception so beautifully. We got married outside and had the reception inside. I got so many compliments on the décor. I love the room in Smithville, the big windows, the hardwood floor and even the chairs are nice! We had about 120 people, we invited 150 but I am glad it ended being less because I don’t think much more could’ve fit in the room.We were able to book all 30 rooms on the property for our family and friends which made everything so easily accessible for the guests. Everyone went and got lunch and went shopping. The rooms at Colonial Inn, The Village Rooms and The Barn rooms are very nice and up to date. Everyone told us how much FUN the wedding weekend was and now everyone wants to go back for Christmas.If you are looking for a venue that is reasonably priced, fantastic food, great team and not your typical venue, book Smithville Inn.

They helped make such a stressful planning process feel more manageable and we felt confident that no matter what happened because of the pandemic that Smithville Inn was going to help us navigate our way and still have a beautiful day… and we certainly did! We held our daughter's wedding and reception at the Smithville Inn on 824/19. I cannot rave enough about the Smithville Inn, Justine and Kye, and the amazing staff! The day/evening was nothing short of spectacular! Can you tell I'm more than pleased?We met with Kyle a year to the day before the event. His professional presentation and patience in answering our questions coupled with the warmth of the staff we encountered and beauty of the venue sold us on the spot. Want to have an outdoor wedding? What if it rains? The Smithville Inn has a contingency plan. They have a beautiful indoor room with a huge Colonial Fireplace. You don't need to worry about weather.Justine is also one of the wedding coordinators, and she ran our event. She was amazing. She took care of anything we needed before we could even think to ask. I can't think of anything I'd want. She already had everything in order.My guests raved about the food. Particular favorites that were mentioned were the pulled pork with mango chutney on a crostini, sriracha shrimp, lamb lollipops, and scallops wrapped in bacon. Several people raved about the crab dip, too. For dinner, we chose the crab cakes (yum); the flat iron steak, which was tender and flavorful; and the eggplant rollotini. Justine even set up a spread of the appetizers back in the bride's room so that we wouldn't miss the appetizers while we had pictures taken. The cake was moist and delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the pastry trays and ice cream bar. In short, the food was ridiculous in the best possible way! Justine executed my daughter's ideas so beautifully. We dropped off all of our items the night before, and she created beautiful displays. Our centerpieces were woodsy and included mason jars filled with fairy lights and wood cuts. Justine even provided wood cut table numbers to match the decor that we provided. Justine made sure that everything went beautifully. She literally caught me as I tripped up the steps and prevented an accident, smoothly orchestrated everything in a way that made us feel relaxed, and even manned the ice cream bar at the end!One guest pulled me aside to say that it was a \"storybook wedding.\" Many talked about how good the food was and how much fun they had. I can't thank Justine, Kyle, and the lovely staff at Smithville enough for making this such a memorable and stress-free day. You made it easy (on our end). We couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to get married and celebrate than the Smithville Inn. It was literally the only venue we visited and we were not disappointed by our choice. They truly take care of everything from organizing the ceremony, to setting up the decor, fabulous food service and more. Once all the details for our special day were ironed out, we were able to fully enjoy ourselves knowing everything was being taken care of. My guests were blown away by the beauty of the garden and the banquet room and raved about the food for days. The staff worked with my DJ to make sure the dinner was timed just right to keep everyone up and dancing as much as possible. And you really can't beat that the open bar and cake are included. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to get married and celebrate than the Smithville Inn. It was literally the only venue we visited and we were not disappointed by our choice. They truly take care of everything from organizing the ceremony, to setting up the decor, fabulous food service and more. Once all the details for our special day were ironed out, we were able to fully enjoy ourselves knowing everything was being taken care of. My guests were blown away by the beauty of the garden and the banquet room and raved about the food for days. The staff worked with my DJ to make sure the dinner was timed just right to keep everyone up and dancing as much as possible. And you really can't beat that the open bar and cake are included. Definitely a must see as you begin your planning, fingers crossed they have your date available!

I was married here this past weekend on 6/15/19 and all I can say is that is was absolute perfection. The venue is beautiful and the staff are absolutely amazing. They were so easy to work with during the planning stage, especially Justine who answered all of my questions within a couple minutes of me emailing her. The food was delicious both during cocktail hour and dinner and the drinks never stopped flowing! I highly recommend The Smithville Inn especially if you want a beautiful, personal, low-stress wedding! Thank You guys so much!!

Not only is this venue unique and beautiful but the convenience of the local amazing vendors make as stress free of a day as possible. The coordinators are a great team and are prompt with responses. There is a back up room in case of bad weather, which is huge for easing your mind in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Everything ran as flawlessly as possible and I would choose the same place again and again.

My husband and I got married at The Smithville Inn this past December. We had a great experience during the planning process, and have so many amazing memories from our wedding day, thanks to all that the staff at Smithville did! Kyle was very responsive during the days before the wedding, and he answered every one of our questions in a timely manner. He and Justine made the entire day flow so nicely. They put all of our decorations out exactly the way we were envisioning them. I remember walking into the reception room just before the ceremony was about to start, and tears started to form in my eyes once I saw how the months of planning and visioning my husband and I did truly came to life that day. We had the winter wonderland wedding of our dreams, and we are so thankful to everybody at The Smithville Inn for all of their help in making that happen. Bonus points, the food was AMAZING. They give you plenty of options for your guests, and are so accommodating with food restrictions. We actually had a completely vegetarian wedding menu and it was so easy to swap a few things out that we wanted switched. The village and the Inn itself are so incredibly cozy and inviting, which is what my husband and I wanted on our wedding day. We loved how charming and full of history the Inn is. Especially with the Christmas decorations everywhere, the entire atmosphere was so timeless and low-key -- yet romantic and warm. We are so happy that we get to come back to Smithville anytime we want and go back to the absolutely wonderful wedding day we were able to enjoy here. I highly recommend holding your wedding at The Smithville Inn!

I did not choose to have my wedding at Smithville Inn, although we did book an engagement party and the banquet managers who do the wedding were in charge of the engagement party as well and I would not mind if I never had to deal with them again. There is Kyle and Justine but they both respond on the same email so I never knew who I was talking to, numerous times I tried meeting them in person and they never were available and the one time we planned to meet after I got off work they actually left before I got there, no email to even apologize. I emailed the list of food and specifically which entree I wanted and the following email either Justine or Kyle ( again they never mentioned who I was actually talking to in the email) was asking questions that I actually already answered in the previous email as if they didn’t even take the time to read what I wrote. Very unprofessional and sloppy in my opinion. It’s very unfortunate because it is a nice place and the food was great.

We got married at the Smithville Inn on 9/7. Our day was absolutely perfect! We had to make the late decision to have the ceremony inside. Although I was naturally a little disappointed, it was still a very pretty space and Kyle made sure we at least had our cocktail hour outside (it was just one passing thunderstorm so cleared up in the middle of our ceremony). Kyle and Justine made everything run so smoothly. I received nothing but compliments from our guests. The food was AMAZING. They even boxed up some of our cocktail hour food in addition to our dinners for us which we enjoyed the next day. I was planning from 3 1/2 hours away. This was never an issue. Justine and Kyle answered my emails within 24 hours, and made sure to have an answer for all of my questions. They allowed me to be a stress free bride on my wedding day and that was the most amazing gift anyone could have given us.

We got married at Smithville Inn this fall and it was amazing! I found the venue online and after visiting I knew we were going to get married there. The venue is absolutely beautiful! One of my main concerns when booking a venue was having a good outdoor and back up indoor ceremony plan. Both the outside patio and indoor fireplace room are gorgeous ceremony options. Smithville Inn also had amazing suggested vendors that were located within the small town. Everything was walking distance to the venue – photo (Jonathon Peter Photography), florist (Pocket Full of Posies Florist), hair and make-up (Sublime Hair Boutique), hotel rooms (The Colonial Inn), and rehearsal dinner & after party celebration (Fred & Ethel’s Lantern Light Tavern). It was so nice to park your car for the weekend and not have to worry about driving anywhere!Kyle & Justine, the banquet managers are incredible! Their customer service is top-notch! They responded to every phone call and email so quickly, which made the planning process so much easier! Even our set up/take-down of the decorations was so smooth. Kyle and Justine were also the day of coordinators, making sure all our vendors were good and everything ran smoothly. They took care of every single detail for us! I couldn’t be more grateful for these guys!!!!The food at Smithville was AMAZING!! Our guests could not stop talking about it! The prime rib was huge and the shrimp and scallops were incredible! We got married at Smithville Inn this fall and it was amazing! I found the venue online and after visiting I knew we were going to get married there. The venue is absolutely beautiful! One of my main concerns when booking a venue was having a good outdoor and back up indoor ceremony plan. Both the outside patio and indoor fireplace room are gorgeous ceremony options. Smithville Inn also had amazing suggested vendors that were located within the small town. Everything was walking distance to the venue – photo (Jonathon Peter Photography), florist (Pocket Full of Posies Florist), hair and make-up (Sublime Hair Boutique), hotel rooms (The Colonial Inn), and rehearsal dinner & after party celebration (Fred & Ethel’s Lantern Light Tavern). It was so nice to park your car for the weekend and not have to worry about driving anywhere!Kyle & Justine, the banquet managers are incredible! Their customer service is top-notch! They responded to every phone call and email so quickly, which made the planning process so much easier! Even our set up/take-down of the decorations was so smooth. From the first time we visited, Kyle and the staff was warm, helpful, and accommodating , They were incredibly patient with us as we called often with numerous questions and they made great suggestions when we needed. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch. However, we were comfortable in the confidence we had that Smithville would be ready whatever situation may have arose. The food is excellent and the town is full of charm. We look forward to revisiting over the years.

The Smithville Inn was such a unique and beautiful place to celebrate the best day of our lives! Our ceremony was outdoors with the beautiful background of the lake and the reception inside in the lovely rustic ballroom with floor to ceiling windows. So much better than the typical country club wedding! This place has history and character. The food is sooo good and the staff is so helpful and nice. They really take care of you. So much is included in their wedding package too! They really don’t nickel and dime you like other venues we looked at. They include a beautiful and delicious wedding cake from the bakeworks in northfield also. We knew nothing about weddings when we first met with Kyle, one of our wedding planners there, but in only a short time I was certain that our wedding would be great and all our needs and wants met. As we got closer to the big day we worked a lot with Justine, wedding planner extraordinaire! She led our rehearsal, made sure all our decor was set up perfectly, and kept the day running incredibly smooth. I can’t say enough good things about Justine and the Smithville Inn. Simply put: the \"wedding planner\" and her \"assistant\" lost paperwork on our wedding date 11/11 (Veterans Day) my fiancé Is a marine. They gave it away without our knowledge. I had to call to find out they gave away the date. They said \"we don't have paper work on you\" two minutes later \"we did call you and you said you didn't want the date\" Please don't insult my intelligence or anyone else's for that matter. They were completely unapologetic in the matter. My criticisms were called inappropriate by the head wedding planner. Pretty sure the first job of a wedding planner is to secure paperwork on her clients. Don't believe me check Yelp I put a screenshot of the conversation with the head wedding planner. Don't give this business your money go elsewhere they shouldn't be in the wedding business. I was a frequent visitor of smithville since I was a child, this was my dream venue. But honestly, it's gone down hill. Locals have even said the inn has gone south. Please I implore you not to waste your time or money here. From the second we booked our appointment to view the venue, we were made to feel like the most special people in the world. The venue itself is amazing. It is the perfect rustic and shabby chic venue. The shops at The Smithville Inn add a charming element for your guests. The outdoor ceremony area is absolutely beautiful no matter what time of year. The reception room is rustic, warm and charming. I wanted to avoid a country club look and this venue was absolutely perfect.\r\rI really don't even know where to start in writing this review because everything was so incredibly perfect, so I supposed I will start with our wedding coordinator, Heather Cramer. Heather is seriously the BEST. She answered every phone call, e-mail and message in a timely manner {and believe me, there were a TON of those}. She went above and beyond to make sure that our entire planning process and wedding day went off without a hitch. She was tremendously accommodating and catered to all of our wants and needs no matter how big or small. We dropped off an obscene amount of decorations the day before and every single detail was absolutely perfect. I realize I’ve used the word perfect a lot, but there really is no other word to describe our wedding day. I cannot speak highly enough of Heather and her staff. \r\rWe got married the weekend of the hurricane. We originally planned to have our ceremony and cocktail hour outside but the weather had other plans. Heather assured me that everything would work out, and boy was she right! It was PERFECT. AMAZING. SENSATIONAL. The ceremony was moved indoors and the room looked absolutely stunning. After the ceremony, our guests were moved out toward the bar area and they turned the ceremony room over into the cocktail hour in minutes. Literally minutes. I was honestly blown away at how smooth the entire process went. If you are a bride who stresses over the idea of it possibly raining, this venue is for you. \r\rThe food. The food was incredible. My guests are STILL raving about the food. Often times when venues are cooking in bulk, the food tends to suffer, but all of the dishes for the cocktail hour and ceremony were absolutely delicious. Not only was the food delicious, there was plenty of it. The variety that The Smithville Inn offers cannot be matched. \r\rI really cannot say enough about this venue and all of the employees who made our day so incredibly special. I HIGHLY recommend this venue. If I could go back, there is not a thing that I would change. Even with the wind and the rain, our wedding day was absolutely perfect and I have Heather and her staff at The Smithville Inn to thank for making our wedding day so amazing.

She went above and beyond to make sure that our entire planning process and wedding day went off without a hitch. She was tremendously accommodating and catered to all of our wants and needs no matter how big or small. We dropped off an obscene amount of decorations the day before and every single detail was absolutely perfect. I realize I’ve used the word perfect a lot, but there really is no other word to describe our wedding day. I cannot speak highly enough of Heather and her staff. \r\rWe got married the weekend of the hurricane. We originally planned to have our ceremony and cocktail hour outside but the weather had other plans. Heather assured me that everything would work out, and boy was she right! It was PERFECT. AMAZING. SENSATIONAL. The ceremony was moved indoors and the room looked absolutely stunning. After the ceremony, our guests were moved out toward the bar area and they turned the ceremony room over into the cocktail hour in minutes. Literally minutes. I was honestly blown away at how smooth the entire process went. If you are a bride who stresses over the idea of it possibly raining, this venue is for you. \r\rThe food. The food was incredible. My guests are STILL raving about the food. Often times when venues are cooking in bulk, the food tends to suffer, but all of the dishes for the cocktail hour and ceremony were absolutely delicious. Not only was the food delicious, there was plenty of it. The variety that The Smithville Inn offers cannot be matched. \r\rI really cannot say enough about this venue and all of the employees who made our day so incredibly special. I HIGHLY recommend this venue. If I could go back, there is not a thing that I would change. Even with the wind and the rain, our wedding day was absolutely perfect and I have Heather and her staff at The Smithville Inn to thank for making our wedding day so amazing.

We chose Smithville Inn for our wedding and reception location. Greatest choice ever. It had just what we were looking for as far as a more rustic feel. The grounds for the wedding were so beautiful. The woman working our table never let me have a dry mouth! she was so sweet. Another woman helped make a bed for my three year old son who fell asleep during the reception. Just all around great service and a memorable night.

There is absolutely nothing bad to say about our time at the Historic Smithville Inn. Heather was fantastic. The day of our wedding we were faced with torrential downpours :( I was disappointed because you pick Smithville to be outside, but I guess you know you married the right person plus picked the right venue when everything turns out fine. Heather was very gentle with me having to be inside because of the rain but she always remained positive. Not only that but she pleasantly answered any questions I had, that day or during the whole process. I never felt like I was bothering her! Service was outstanding as was the food. We heard rave reviews (I mean of course we loved the food) and I found out later that one of the servers gave our ring bearer some ice cream to keep him occupied and the bartender kept giving my moh extra cherries in her drink! They went above and beyond. They catered to special requests (an anniversary cake for our cousins) and they even collected all of our flowers, decor, etc. at the end of the night so I didn't have to worry about it and we could pick it up the next day, which not every place does. Another perk, if this helps, is you can save a lot on decor costs because the space is so beautiful itself. We had flowers but you don't need a ton and we went pretty minimal on other details. I really don't think we could have picked a better place for us. I would highly recommend it and you know that, worst case scenario if you are stuck inside during a storm, it will be just as beautiful and magical as you had in your head the whole time!

There is one word to describe my wedding at the Smithville Inn and that is PERFECTION! We were floored by the smooth flow of the day....from before the ceremony to the end of the reception. Our guests were praising the scenery, the food, the service, the venue itself all night long. \r\rHeather and Gina were more than accommodating and were extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Any time I had a question, no matter how small, Heather was so prompt in returning my emails. I felt at ease that my day was going to be nothing short of amazing....and that it was! We recently celebrated our wedding at Smithville Inn. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all on site, which was really convenient and fun for ourselves and our family and friends. Many out of town guests, including ourselves, were able to stay at the local B&B (Colonial Inn) which is within walking distance of the venue...such a great place to stay and make a fun weekend out of it. We were all able to take advantage of the many shops and things to do right there in the historic town of Smithville. Heather and Tony at Smithville Inn were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process....even down to the morning after the wedding! Each time we stopped in for a meeting with Heather, Tony always came over to greet us with a huge smile on his face! We would often take advantage of the restaurant and order a cup or bowl of the Crab Bisque and sit at the bar in their tavern...Hank, the best bar tender there, always made us our favorite cocktail (Old Fashioned). This became a tradition of ours throughout the planning process. It meant a lot to us to get married outside...it rained the night before, the morning of and throughout the earlier portion of the day on our wedding day. Smithville Inn had both the outside area set up for our ceremony and the inside area set up just in case. The rain stopped just in time to get some beautiful pictures outside/throughout the Historic Smithville area and we were able to have our ceremony and cocktail hour outside. Tony even said to me the morning after that he knew how much it meant to us to have our ceremony outside and he wanted to do whatever he could to make that happen for us! Ourselves, family and friends all had an amazing time! The food and drinks were delicious and plentiful! The bakery they use (Bake Works) also allowed us to think out of the box a bit with out cake...instead of a three tiered cake, they allowed us to break apart the tiers and we had a beautiful cake table set up with various cakes....which by the way were one of the best tasting wedding cakes we and our family and friends have ever had!!! The staff was more than accommodating! The venue itself is such a beautiful and historical setting...minimal extra décor is needed other than to personalize it a bit. We highly recommend Smithville Inn...as a wedding venue, a restaurant, and bar/tavern.

The staff was more than accommodating! The venue itself is such a beautiful and historical setting...minimal extra décor is needed other than to personalize it a bit. We highly recommend Smithville Inn...as a wedding venue, a restaurant, and bar/tavern.

Within a few minutes of our first tour of the Smithville Inn we knew this was our wedding venue. We booked within a couple days - a great decision. The event manager Heather, along with all the other staff, were great to work with. They make all the arrangements for your wedding so easy. They are laid back but know exactly what they are doing and are very professional. Emails with various questions were always answered promptly and accurately. By the time we got to our wedding day I knew I didn't need to worry about a thing.\r\rThe day of the wedding was perfect - everything came together so beautifully. It was great to see all those little \"pieces\" that you spend time thinking about and planning in one place exactly how you envisioned them. Heather was great to have getting everyone lined up for the ceremony. Gina was ready to help with whatever we needed.\r\rBartenders, servers and all the event staff were ready to help at the drop of a hat. Food, drinks, etc... were all GREAT. Food was served hot and fresh - not something you find at every wedding.\r\rYou really get a lot for your money at this venue. Everything except your entertainment and photographer is included and you can't beat the prices.\r\rWe are hearing great feedback from all our family and friends about the Smithville Inn and we couldnt agree with everyone more - this was the perfect venue for our wedding!! We will be back for events in the future.

we had a small intimate immediate family only wedding and had a wonderful time - food was exceptional, they have a great staff / banquet coordinator Heather was always available for any concerns or questions. We did manage to get our outdoor ceremony done in the outdoor garden area before the rains came - but it didn't ruin our day the interior was decorated nicely in an autumn theme we were able to take pictures inside....My out of town family want to return to the village as a day trip and have dinner at the Inn again.

When we met the banquet manager Heather Cramer I knew we would be in good hands! She had alot of great ideas and worked with us to make our whole vision come together. She worked with all of our vendors so the cake, band, and flowers were all arranged perfectly when I walked into the reception room. Heather is always easy to reach by phone or email. Oh and the food is amazing!\r

My husband and I had our reception at The Smithville Inn on June 29, 2013. Before booking here, I had visited 10 other places. The feeling I got when I walked into The Smithville Inn didn't even compare. It was like I knew the second we walked in that it was THE place!\r\rI have to say it was better than I ever could've imagined!! The reception room was set up exactly how I pictured in my head! We had forgot a few things that were supposed to be brought the day before and Heather was so understanding! I will say I was a little worried about the food since we requested a second tasting. Don't even worry about that!! The food was great and everyone was raving about cocktail hour. Heather really went above and beyond. We chose a spiked Arnold Palmer as our signature drink and she went as far as sweetening their unsweetened ice tea to make it happen! The courtyard and village are beautiful! We had reserved rooms at The Barn and The Colonial Inn so all guests could walk to their rooms. Fred and Ethel's was the perfect place for an after party. We used their bakery for our cake and it was amazing (that is coming from someone who has high cake standards)! We also used one of their recommended DJs, and he kept the party going all night. Have your wedding here, you won't be disappointed!!

The Smithville Inn did an amazing job for my wedding. My ceremony and reception were held at this location. Heather (wedding coordinator) was amazing. She was very attentive to me. Any questions or concerns I had, She answered and put my mind at easy. The staff at the Smithville Inn was awesome!!! The bartenders were quick and made all the drinks perfectly. The Head waitress was extremely attentive to me and my husband. She made sure that our drinks were always full and that we had warm food on our plates. At the end of the night, She packed up and organized all our stuff (flowers, topper cake, toasting glasses, serving set, mirrors etc.). She put everything on a cart and put it aside so we could get it all the next day. The whole wedding experience will Smithville Inn was perfect. I would recommend this venue to everyone I know.

I just had my wedding at Smithville Inn on August 24th. The scenery behind the building and the surrounding area are beautiful, especially great for romantic pictures. The food served was delicious and there was a lot of it. The cashew chicken during cocktail hour was my favorite. The dinner was good, the only issue I had was that the vegetarian meal we had at our tasting was not the same as the meal that was served at the actual reception. The pasts dish replacement was not as nice as the original dish. The set up was done just the way I asked, the tables looked perfect. The head server was fantastic and kept coming over to us throughout the night to make sure we had drinks and everything we needed. Overall, the Inn did everything they could to make the night enjoyable for all of our guests and for ourselves!

It's been a year since our wedding at Smithville Inn and people are still telling us how beautiful and amazing our wedding day was! The food was so incredible that night, and the service was perfect! The room itself has such rustic charm and we loved the wall of windows that reflected the candlelight... It was So romantic! The staff is so friendly and accommodating - and they know exactly how things should flow that planning everything was a breeze! We like to go back often and have dinner - and we always have to order the shrimp app we had during the cocktail hour!! So good!!!

I can't say enough about this wonderful venue and staff. I just got married here and it was a beautiful and amazing day. Heather is organized, friendly and extremely helpful. Tony was great as well! The staff was attentive and always making sure we were having a great time. The food is also delicious! Our guests still tell us that it was one of the best weddings that they have ever been to.\r Between the dinner, dancing and beautiful atmosphere we had the perfect day! I highly recommend this venue to any future brides.
