The Stanley Event Complex is a wedding venue located in beautiful downtown Lee’s Summit, MO. Offering three unique spaces - The Aspen Ballroom, The Rooftop and The Kingston Room- this location has everything you need for an unforgettable celebration. Versatile and comfortable, each space offers a vintage aesthetic and has been fully-furnished for a feeling of modern convenience. The upscale amenities and day of planning included in the rental sets us apart. Owners Cindy King and Jennifer Hendricks strive to give every guest the ultimate experience for memories that will last a lifetime. Whatever your vision for your wedding might look like, The Stanley Event Complex offers a selection of backdrops to bring your special day to life. The Aspen Room has tall ceilings, hardwood floors, grand chandeliers, large windows, outdoor balcony, intricate ceiling design and several included amenities. The Rooftop, with a waterfall and green space, is the perfect place to let the stars shine on your special day. The Kingston Room is the newest addition to The Stanley. My favorite part about this venue is that the spaces feel and look so different, so even though both the ceremony and reception are at the same venue, it doesn’t feel like it! We chose to have our ceremony on the rooftop and the reception in the Aspen Room. The rooftop is a gorgeous place to take pictures and was a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony to take place! The Aspen Room has a cozy yet classy vibe that was exactly what I was looking for! The staff leading up to the day was accommodating and helpful during e-mail communication and the planning meeting. Even though we could not get into the venue until 2pm, the staff sets up both the ceremony and reception space which takes out a lot of the stress of the day! I really enjoyed getting to “shop” in the Something Borrowed boutique for decor, this saved a lot of money! The day of went off without a hitch, in part due to our day of coordinator. Thank you for an amazing venue and wedding experience!

The owners aren’t in it just for money. They’re very relational and kind. It was a joy to have our wedding at The Stanley. The venue is beautiful; many that came to our wedding complimented the venue. You will not be disappointed if you choose to have your event here!

I booked my party with Karly. She is super helpful and very thorough and efficient. The room was set exactly how we discussed. I have been a guest for various events and celebrations ranging from intimate gatherings to a few hundred guests. Every time is better than the last. The staff is extremely professional and helpful, making planning and attending events a seamless experience. Being able to host both the ceremony and reception comfortably at one location is HUGE. And I think our guests REALLY appreciated quickly transitioning from the ceremony to a cocktail hour just downstairs. Take some of the headache out of your wedding planning by choosing The Stanley as your event space!

Typically they have you setup the items you bring in, however I expressed my concern with trying to setup reception with my ceremony not being in the same location.....Karly is AMAZING, that's all I can say. Literally the entire night was perfect and I was not stressed at all because of how awesome our venues were and the staff there!

First off this Venue speaks for itself, it is absolutely gorgeous. It has everything that you could possibly need, including all the decorations from their something borrowed room. The Stanley was absolutely amazing to work with! They were such a joy and had so many helpful hands to accomplish our dream wedding. I had a very specific vision for my wedding and their space was beautiful. They also have all tables, chairs, linens, and a whole decor closet included in their package. It was a life-saver and budget-saver! The day of coordinator was wonderful!! She was so attentive to every detail that I had planned. She checked in with me throughout the night to make sure everything was going as planned and to make sure I was personally having the best time! She is the sweetest and I was so impressed with her attention to detail and the care she took to make sure that our day was special. They went above and beyond! They worked with us and made the set up and prep work super easy and stress-free. For example: We had a Polaroid set up for our guests and it had stopped working. Our day of coordinator took it upon herself to google possible problems to help us fix it! They kept all of our cards and gifts safe and helped package up our extremely special champagne flutes and the leftover cake. They even washed our flutes and kept them safe for us until we packed up at the end of the night! This location and the people here at the Stanley were a blessing to my husband and I! We were so happy to work with them and I would absolutely recommend them to everyone!! If you are looking for the perfect wedding location, look no further!

Our answer was the venue as well the amazing staff just made it feel right from the moment we toured.We were supposed to get married in June of 2020, which did not work out. Cindy and her team helped us reschedule the event and worked with us through all the uncertainty of the year.Once we got to the big day, the event coordinator provided by the venue took care of everything! She made sure our guests were taken care of, all the vendors knew where to go, down to even making sure the room felt the right temperature. From the moment we walked in that day it all just flowed. Cannot recommend enough!

The Stanley was the first wedding venue we walked into and the last. We instantly knew that we wanted to have our wedding there. Bryan and Cindy are incredible and every aspect of our wedding was executed flawlessly. We cannot recommend them enough. The staff was incredibly helpful the day of with setting up everything perfectly and communicating with my parents. We were supposed to have a rooftop wedding, but it ended up raining. Luckily, the Kingston room is beautiful and we still had the most perfect, romantic ceremony. We also saved so much on decorations because the Stanley has many beautiful pieces to borrow for decor. Our wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to The Stanley and its staff!

Bryan and Cindy are incredible and every aspect of our wedding was executed flawlessly. We cannot recommend them enough. The staff was incredibly helpful the day of with setting up everything perfectly and communicating with my parents. We were supposed to have a rooftop wedding, but it ended up raining. Luckily, the Kingston room is beautiful and we still had the most perfect, romantic ceremony. We also saved so much on decorations because the Stanley has many beautiful pieces to borrow for decor. Professionally the best. This is our second wedding event at The Stanley. Cindy, Bryan and staff were experts at guiding all aspects of our event. I am very impressed by the response to questions and changes. The Stanley is a beautiful historic venue that offers tremendous flexibility at value prices without compromise! (Fathers of the bride will appreciate that). The staff was very attentive and responsive during the event taking care of our unexpected needs. Cindy is a creative artist with the ability to paint the perfect canvas of background to highlight the bride and groom’s blessed Union. I am very impressed by the response to questions and changes. The Stanley is a beautiful historic venue that offers tremendous flexibility at value prices without compromise! (Fathers of the bride will appreciate that). The staff was very attentive and responsive during the event taking care of our unexpected needs. Cindy is a creative artist with the ability to paint the perfect canvas of background to highlight the bride and groom’s blessed Union. The venue is just absolutely beautiful! Jennifer was so helpful through the process and made planning a wedding seem easy! Sarita, the event coordinator, was amazing! Her experience and knowledge were key during the wedding; directing vendors, putting up day of decorations, etc... She made everything move so seamlessly!The venue was gorgeous and the staff were so helpful in every way! We couldn't have picked a better venue. This was a wonderful venue for both our ceremony and our reception that our friends and family loved and who had helpful staff. One of the things to be aware of when looking at this venue is that there are stairs and no elevator. So guest do have to ascend the stairs to attend the ceremony, head back downstairs for the dinner portion and ascend once again for the dancing. We took the risk, only being concerned with my grandmother who managed with a little help that evening. Owner, Cindy, was wonderful and answered my e mails the week leading up to the ceremony quickly. Because there may be a ceremony the evening before yours, you may not be able to get into the venue as early as you would like. Fortunately, I had several friends to help set up the ceremony and dinner reception areas. Sarita was our day of coordinator who also handled our rehearsal. She was very sweet to us and took care of what we needed handled. She had kind words for us as she walked us to the car after the evening was over. I do have some suggestions for the Stanley and things for brides to keep in mind. One being that there are two venues here and while seeing another bride on your wedding day is pretty much the last thing you want to see, it's likely to happen. It happened to me while taking photos in the nearest alleyway with my bridesmaids. The parties exchanged kind words and it is what it is. The other slightly annoying part about getting married in the beautiful, smaller venue next to the large Aspen room is that everyone assumes that when you say you're getting married at \"The Stanley\" that you mean the Aspen Room. The staff there made this mistake leading up tp the wedding, our vendors did too and it made us feel like our venue was downplayed to nearly nonexistent. Just because it holds less people and you want to have a more intimate wedding doesn't make it any less beautiful or special. Sometimes we were made to feel that way unfortunately. Suggestions would be for the bridal suite. Yes, it is small, but it works out. I do think a toilet seat lid is in order. It keeps things from accidentally getting into the toilet and could make for another spot to sit in a pinch. I would also suggest a curtain to cover the mirror over the sink. Your guests are arriving up the back staircase and if that suite door opens, guests can look right into the mirror and see the bride standing at the opposite end of the room. My bridesmaids covered the mirror with a jacket every time the door was opened to prevent this from happening. The only let down I felt revolving around the venue on my wedding day was when I asked for a glass of wine. I noticed the \"barefoot\" brand label which I know runs $5-6 at the store, but I was paying $20 a bottle for it. I get there's a markup, but that 4 to 1 ratio seems excessive. Also, we were told there would be 10 guests to a table and planned accordingly having two \"reserved\" signs for our first two tables, one for family and one for our bridal party as we sat at a sweetheart table. Instead there was an odd 8 top table squeezed in the front so our families and bridal party were confused and ended up mixed and a couple scattered. I would have planned appropriately had I known. Overall, we were pleased with the venue, the staff and our day was wonderful.

The Stanley was an amazing place for our wedding reception. The Aspen Room and rooftop was absolutely gorgeous with the decorations and the lighting. They are easy to work with and will help get your wedding vision down to a 'T'. I am so happy that we had our reception at The Stanley and enjoyed our day so much! Thank you!!

I highly recommend the Stanley event space! We had our daughter's wedding and reception there. We used the Kingston room for the ceremony, the Aspen room for the reception and the rooftop for some pictures. The event space is beautiful and the features the owners have added, like the candle wall and greenery on the rooftop, made for wonderful pictures. The owners were wonderful to work with as they were both so helpful and encouraging. We met with Cindy several times to go over event details and for her to answer questions. She took her time with us, and helped make the process smooth and peaceful. The staff was also very professional and helpful. Another benefit of choosing the Stanley is that they offer tons of decorations to use in both the ceremony and reception, ie. lanterns, wood slices, vases, cake stand, etc. as well as tables, chairs and linens. The Stanley helped make our daughter's wedding a beautiful event, and my family and I are grateful!

I cannot say enough positive things about Cindy and the entire event staff at the Stanley. Cindy was an absolute dream to work with. She was very accommodating and fantastic with communication back and forth. She made our wedding an absolute dream come true. We had multiple meetings with Cindy to determine table linens and decor. Candles and flowers were the only decor we purchased for the reception thanks to Cindy's incredible selection of decorations from elegant candelabras to trendy lanterns and everything in between. We had our wedding reception in the Aspen Room and planned for a cocktail hour on the roof, unfortunately the weather did not want to cooperate. Cindy allowed us to move our cocktail hour to the Kingston room and it was absolutely PERFECT. Julie was our day of coordinator and was phenomenal. Everything ran smoothly and I did not have to coordinate at all with the vendors the day of. I could not have asked for a better experience or a more perfect day! Thanks so much to Cindy and her team for an exceptional experience!

The Stanley Historic Space was our first choice for my daughter & son-in-law's wedding reception. We had attended another event at the Stanley, and knew this was going to be the venue for our event too. The Rooftop Terrace was a nice touch for our cocktail hour while our guests arrived, and we then gathered in the Aspen room for our big event. This is a beautiful space, and we had about 200 guests fill it including our DJ, Mike King, and Garozzo's our caterer. The dance floor was large enough with our table design, and we also added the personalized floor-lit signature which was a nice touch. Cindy King was a pleasure to work with in coordinating everything along the way, and Julie our event manager, was really helpful and communicated with me occasionally throughout the evening to make sure I knew how we were doing on the bar beverages, and organizing our video, and sparkler send off. I highly recommend the Stanley Event Space for your special party for a flawless event!

We got married at the Aspen Room and it was absolutely gorgeous! We worked with Jennifer who was super helpful the entire time and always answered my questions in a timely manner. We had a few hiccups on the day of - some items that I had brought earlier in the week didn’t get put out until one of my bridesmaids found them on the bottom of a cart somewhere - we were also told someone from the Stanley would be directing the wedding party where to go and what to do before the ceremony (what the ushers were to do, etc.) began since we had an off-site rehearsal, and no one was around until right before my bridesmaids and groomsmen began walking down the aisle so it was a little stressful at that point because the ushers weren’t sure what to do. Maybe not necessarily a single persons fault but somewhere along the way these things got missed- but everything ended up being great and the support staff did an outstanding job and was super attentive the whole night! That’s why I am giving 5 stars still!

This venue is amazing. We held our wedding in Stanley Historic Space. It is so beautiful with the tin ceilings, exposed brick, etc. and made an amazing backdrop for all of our photos. Plus being in downtown Lees Summit gave great photos spots and made it convenient - post-wedding drinks, easy to get to. The staff is so easy to work with and offered suggestions and advice that was very much appreciated and used. Leading up to the wedding Cindy met with us as needed, answered our many questions and assured us everything would go great - which it did. I'm so thankful to them for being so great and supportive.The value they offered cannot be ignored. It was not only a great space but the things like decorations, linens, staff, etc. being in-house made things so much easier and affordable. We loved that we were able to use in-house decorations. That saved us money/time/hassle. We picked out what we wanted, told them how we wanted it arranged and it was all set up for us and that was just such a load off. The event manager they provided was so helpful and efficient and I was so glad to have her on many occasions. We would highly recommend them to anyone getting married or planning a large event. It's a beautiful, well put together venue. We know that this venue played a large part in our day going perfect and we're so thankful.

Ever since attending a beautiful wedding here in the summer of 2016 I knew that this was the exact kind of venue I would want for when our big day rolled around - the location (adorable downtown lees summit), the rustic chic feel (brick walls, string lighting, chandeliers, beautiful tim ceiling tile in the aspen room,Etc etc etc!!!) it just checked all of the boxes for me! Cindy and her staff (from wedding day coordinators, bartenders, bar-backs, etc) they all delivered and went above and beyond. Everyone, including us, was in Awe of the set-up and decor saying how beautiful it was. Planning your wedding is not easy and some will day it can be the most stressful thing you will ever plan in your life, but Cindy, every meeting we had about details and finalizations, she made the process THAT much easier. I am beyond impressed and so happy we forever have a home at the Stanley 😊

I'm still over the moon about how everything turned out! The Stanley (and Jennifer) really played a huge part in guiding me through the details and in the end everything came out without a hitch. The venue is so gorgeous...both of them! we chose the historic space for a more intimate feel and I have no regrets. Everyone was talking about how beautiful it was. They include things like linens and lighting that made planning super easy. I know I'm biased but they really are the best venue you could fund!

My husband and I recently hosted a wedding at The Stanley Hotel Historic Space.I cannot day enough great things about the venue and the coordinators/staff.We are from Texas and never had a chance to preview the venue prior to booking. Jennifer was so repsonaice prior to the wedding via email and phone.I felt like I had a good handle on the venue space and the flow of our event. The historic space is absolutely beautiful and perfect for our small, intimate wedding.We brought in some flowers and a few other decorations but really didn’t need much to turn the space into our own. At our rehearsal and for the day of the event, Julie, our coordinator, was amazing. I was able to just enjoy the day while she and a friend took care of all the logistics. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, intimate setting or better staff to work with. You won’t be disappointed with the venue!

I don’t even know where to start! If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would. I knew as soon as I got engaged I wanted to be married at The Aspen Room @ The Stanley, and have a Beauty and The Beast themed wedding. What a STUNNING venue! Oh and let me tell you about the owners and how amazing they are...... Unfortunately my mom got sick before the wedding and had done most of my wedding planning. Cindy King one of the owners told my mom to have a seat, surpervise, and she would take care of getting the space ready. WOW, what venue would do that? Thank you Cindy for being such an angel to me and my mom! My husband and I received SO many compliments how gorgeous the venue was, and how everything was so perfect! I remember so many guests saying, what a “true fairy tale wedding” we had. Let me not forgot Bryan, Tyler, and the rest of the staff at the venue..... they played a huge part in the success of my wedding being the BEST day of my life!! Thank you Cindy for helping with so many things you didn’t have to help with, and weren’t really your responsibility. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an event space to check out this space for ANY event. I can’t wait to hold another event at The Stanley!!! #bestvenueinleessummit

We were so blessed to work with the staff at The Stanley for my daughter Kayla's wedding! It was simply beautiful - I've received so many comments on how gorgeous it was! The chandeliers, lighting, decor...it was all stunning! And with all that was included (tables, chairs, linens, centerpiece vases and candleholders), the price couldn't be beat. I did most of the planning for my daughter, and Jennifer was so incredibly patient with my endless questions! The only drawback was that we had a 4:00 ceremony and were not allowed access to the building until 1:00, so we were a little rushed to get everything set up in time. So if you plan to also hold the ceremony in the same room, I would definitely recommend scheduling it later in the day. We were so blessed to work with the staff at The Stanley for my daughter Kayla's wedding! It was simply beautiful - I've received so many comments on how gorgeous it was! The chandeliers, lighting, decor...it was all stunning! And with all that was included (tables, chairs, linens, centerpiece vases and candleholders), the price couldn't be beat. I did most of the planning for my daughter, and Jennifer was so incredibly patient with my endless questions! The only drawback was that we had a 4:00 ceremony and were not allowed access to the building until 1:00, so we were a little rushed to get everything set up in time. So if you plan to also hold the ceremony in the same room, I would definitely recommend scheduling it later in the day. But the staff was incredibly helpful and did everything they could to help us get ready and clean up afterwards. Thank you so much Jennifer and Stanley staff for a glorious day! We booked the Aspen Room and rooftop for our wedding a few weeks ago. As soon as I saw the venue, I knew it was the one. My mom and I toured a couple others, but we were comparing all of them to the Stanley. Even though it was more than I wanted to spend, I knew I wasn't going to be happy with any place else. We worked with Jennifer to book our date and decide on décor options from their Something Borrowed catalog. We kept our centerpieces and other décor to a minimum - the space is so gorgeous it doesn't need much of anything else! We were supposed to have our ceremony on the rooftop. Our day-of coordinator approached up 20 minutes before it was supposed to start to tell us we either start then or we postpone until later in the evening to avoid the giant rain shower that was headed our way. Despite moving the ceremony up, the skies opened up just as my husband started down the aisle with his grandma. Before I had any idea what was happening, the Stanley staff immediately jumped into action. Between helping our guests inside out of the rain, saving our ceremony flowers and backdrop wreaths, and protecting the videographer's and pianist's equipment, they also managed to start flipping the indoor reception space. Regina and her crew were simply amazing! I didn't see any of it, but everyone raved about the speed, grace, and professionalism they demonstrated during the room flip.. both into a ceremony space and then back into the reception space. They were incredibly organized and helped us stick to our tight timeline. Despite the unexpected room flip and ceremony relocation, we were still on schedule with our original timeline. Incredible! Jennifer and Regina and the rest of their staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was as seamless as possible!

Thank you to Cindy and Bryan King for another fantastic wedding at The Aspen Room at The Stanley! We just had our youngest daughter's wedding reception there last weekend, and for the second time, they did not disappoint!! In 2013 we booked our oldest daughter's wedding at The Aspen Room from architectural floor plans and looking at textile samples in meetings with Cindy. Just from seeing what they had done with The Stanley Historic Place, we knew what we were seeing on paper would be spectacular. So we booked on paper plans on a leap of faith. I think we were the 2nd wedding at The Aspen Room once they opened. It was fabulous!! Fast forward 4 years later, we just had our 2nd wedding in the family there! In 2014 we moved to Dallas, and when my youngest got engaged, we looked in Dallas at several locations to have the wedding. Nothing compared to The Aspen Room and the Kings and what all they do for you and have to offer. It is top notch. So, Lindsay decided that if most of her friends would have to travel to Dallas or Lee's Summit, she chose to go back home and have a \"destination wedding\" at The Aspen Room at The Stanley in Lee's Summit. They are just amazing people to work with, so helpful, amazing atmosphere, beautiful building inside and out, I can go on and on. They are so awesome it made planning a long distance wedding seem like I still lived there! If anyone is looking for a fantastic venue where you get the best customer service, look no further! And downtown Lee's Summit has so many neat little restaurants and shops, all my guests just raved about the entire downtown area. It's a great wedding location!! I highly recommend. We have had 2 weddings there, and if we had any more weddings to host (thank goodness we don't!!), we would not think twice about where to go. They do not disappoint!!! Thank you again Cindy and Bryan and the staff at The Stanley. We had a great time for the second time, and can't thank you enough for everything!!! They are rockstars at weddings!!!

We had our wedding ceremony on the rooftop and reception in the Aspen Room and everything went very smoothly. Surprise, surprise, within 1 week, a perfect storm arose and the venue opened up for the exact date we wanted. Just like that, we had our venue! Cindy & staff were great to work with. I think I was a bit in a blur with how quickly we planned things, but overall I don't know what I would have done without Cindy and her great skills to help plan and organize. Our DJ, our caterer, and any other vendors spoke directly with Cindy and that relieved some of my stress. With our unique scenario and short time frame, it was a pleasure to work with people that do this for a living and strive to make your day the best day. Other venues we had looked at did not necessarily offer these perks. Just make sure all of your desires and understandings are expressed, they will work with you. Thank you so much again for working with our budget and for making our wedding day the best!

The Stanley (Aspen Room) was the most perfect venue for our wedding and reception. From the moment I saw it, I knew it had to be where we got married. The room is so gorgeous we barely needed decor. Cindy, Tyler, and the staff at The Stanley are absolutely fantastic! My husband and I married in October 2016 and had our reception in the Aspen Room. We honestly could not have been more satisfied with the service we received! Cindy and Tyler went above and beyond to help us through all parts of the planning process. Tyler showed us the space initially during an impromptu visit- we just happened to pop in while he was around. We were more than impressed with the beauty of the Stanley and came back for a formal meeting with Cindy.... and we were hooked! Cindy was overly accommodating. She helped me through multiple phases of the planning process, to include recommending other vendors and letting me change my mind no less than three times on table linens and centerpieces :) She was upfront and honest, genuine, and pleasant. Throughout the planning process, my husband and I discovered that Cindy and The Stanley are well known in the local wedding community. They have an outstanding reputation throughout. Every time we contacted a potential vendor and told them where we had booked our reception, they raved about how great Cindy and her team are to work with! Cindy took all of the heavy lifting off of me, and made me feel completely at ease. She told me who to call for what (in terms of vendors), and went so far as to create a detailed table layout so that I would have something to refer to when setting up table centerpieces and other decor. On Wedding Day, we received stellar service. Everything was setup as promised, and The Stanley staff went out of their way to make sure that our day was absolutely perfect. At the end of the night, the staff went above and beyond to help my parents pack up all of our decorations and make sure that nothing was left behind. I could go on and on trying to articulate how satisfied we were with the Stanley, but nothing I could say would ever quite to do it justice. Cindy, Tyler, and the Stanley are simply fantastic!

I had my wedding reception at the Stanley in June 2016. It was beautiful and the staff was great! The Aspen Room is the perfect place for a reception, we had about 175 guests attend and there was still plenty of room for a dance floor and guests to move around. The only negative things that happened were that I thought the tent would be down so we could take photos on the roof but unfortunately it was not and the napkins were not all the same color. Other than that (and those weren't even big issues) it was AMAZING! It was beautiful and the staff is very easy to work with. I would recommend this venue to everyone! It was exactly what I wanted for my wedding.

The Stanley staff is second to none. The space is new and beautiful and perfectly complimented by the people running it. Cindy, Caitlin, and Julie made our day go off without a hitch. We had some issues with the wait staff that Julie took care of without hesitation, leaving my husband and me to enjoy the night. This is truly one of the best venues and it comes at a unbeatable price. I would highly recommend it and if we could do the whole day over again we wouldn't change a thing, especially the venue.

Caitlin was our go to person and she did a fantastic job with laying out all the details and seeing everything through to the end. She was always very prompt in responding to my emails which eased my anxieties. Our wedding went off without a hitch and a lot of that was thanks to The Stanley staff! Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue is and we greatly appreciated all the behind the scenes work Caitlin and others did to help things run smoothly!

I just had the wedding of my dreams at The Stanley-Aspen Room back in November 2015. My husband and I knew we wanted to keep our wedding local and get married in the Lee's Summit area. The Stanley was our first and only choice, because there is nothing else like it, not even close. I always wanted a traditional, timeless, elegant, and beyond beautiful wedding. The Stanley fits all those wants and more. The space is absolutely beautiful and doesn't need any added decor. The venue supplies everything you need and has all the extras you might want. The staff is so helpful and friendly they ease any stress away making you feel confident in your wedding plans. Cindy was such a great help with all her knowledge of the space and how well it functions with large groups of people. Our wedding had about 200 guests and Cindy knew exactly how to set the room up with a catering buffet, DJ, head table and dance floor. She put careful thought into the layout to include all the important aspects of a wedding (grand entrance, cake cutting, etc). Not to mention Cindy also handled all the day-of coordination with my vendors making my job as a bride super easy. I could go on and on about this place, but to keep it short, if you want a gorgeous venue in the cutest downtown area, with friendly and helpful staff to make wedding planning a breeze, book The Stanley-Aspen Room. You will not be disappointed and your guests will rave about your wedding.

The Stanley was everything a wedding venue should be and much more. We searched all across the Kansas City Metro area for the perfect place and The Stanley jumped out based on its elegance, value, and friendly staff. The Aspen Room is exceptionally beautiful with its classic, yet modern features (chandeliers, brick walls, dark hardwood floors and dual bars). The venue is extremely spacious with a balcony and rooftop access, which gave our guests a unique experience. All of our guests couldn’t stop raving about how perfect the venue was and how much fun they had. We can’t put into words how incredible Cindy and the rest of the staff were! They truly wanted our wedding day to be everything we envisioned and it was just that as a result of their hard work. Cindy regularly communicated with us during the planning process. Her kind and bubbly personality made her especially fun to work with. She was well organized which made the process super smooth. Cindy gave us suggestions for vendors, but ultimately, we were allowed to bring in our choice of caterer, which is rare for many venues. On the day of the wedding, the staff checked in on numerous occasions with us. We even had some last minute changes, but they took care of our changes within minutes. One bit of advice: contact The Stanley immediately following your engagement because it books up extremely fast! You will not be disappointed!

Both venues are stunning and the staff is on top of every detail and so easy to communicate with. We were married 8-15-15 on the Aspen Room rooftop and used their gorgeous ballroom for our reception. The bar staff was amazing and kept up with the large amount of drinkers at our party! We also held our Rehearsal dinner next door at the Historic Space. Caitlin made planning the night so easy. Meet the The Stanley Event Space Team
Cindy King - Jennifer Hendricks (Owner) The Stanley Event Space, LLC was established in February of 2010. We are a family business with Customer Service at the core. Bryan, Cindy, Jennifer and Tyler all work at The Stanley to help our customers have the best experience possible. When we had our first event in August of 2010 it was the start of many, many more to come. In 2013 we opened the Aspen Room and have continued to grow and have met hundreds of families along the way.
