The Stevens Estate was easily our top choice in wedding venue. We lucked out with weather and had a beautiful outdoor October wedding, but it would have still been beautiful if we had been inside. The newly renovated estate house is gorgeous. Our guests raved about how good the food was and repeatedly used the word “grand” to describe the Estate. Amy and Helen were a dream team to work with. They made decision making easy and were incredibly flexible when the inevitable last minute changes happened. They accommodated some special requests with ease and made our dream wedding come true. Thanks to their expertise, the day of went off without a hitch and we cannot be more grateful to the Stevens Estate team for their professionalism and kindness in this process. Shout out to Casey and Jordan from our day of team as well for helping me with my massive train and helping with my bustle!

We had our wedding at the Stevens Estate a few weeks ago and it was PERFECT. From booking the venue over a year out to the wedding day, Amy was so easy to communicate with. She was quick to answer our many questions and helped us customize the day to be exactly how we wanted. The day of the wedding rained all day, but there was a window of an hour where it was expected to stop. Amy and her team helped transition the wedding from inside the tent to outside on the lawn at the last minute so we could have our outdoor ceremony. We got so many compliments on how beautiful and unique the venue was. The bar and waitstaff were outstanding. Food was great! All in all a great experience!

If I could give this venue 10 Stars, I would. Amy and her staff went above and beyond to help my daughter and son-in-law create the wedding of their dreams. The Estate is beautiful, from inside the house, to the tent, to the beautiful grounds. The food was absolutely divine. Every guest we spoke with during and after the wedding commented on how great the food was and how attentive and gracious every staff member was. It was incredibly hot that day, but the staff could not have been more accommodating. Everything exceeded our expectations. Our day of coordinators were so professional. If I could give this venue 10 Stars, I would. Amy and her staff went above and beyond to help my daughter and son-in-law create the wedding of their dreams. The Estate is beautiful, from inside the house, to the tent, to the beautiful grounds. The food was absolutely divine. We could not be happier that we chose The Stevens Estate for our October wedding. In the months working up to the wedding Humara was organized and responsive. In the couple weeks prior to the wedding, she was supportive and made me feel comfortable. She was willing to suggest common vendors and prices. We are thrilled that The Stevens Estate recommended Artisan Chef Catering. It’s worth noting how much easier it was having picked a venue that many vendors commonly work with. The rehearsal was well executed and we felt ready! The day of the wedding was incredible. The Estate looked so beautiful inside and out. The whole wedding party felt so special. The suites are perfect for pre wedding prep and photos. Our vendors and guests all said what a beautiful venue it was. The tent with the chandeliers and string lights is perfect. I can’t say enough about all of the details.

The Stevens Estate was an idyllic setting for our summer South Asian wedding, but a staffing change shortly before our wedding soured our experience in the final weeks.We visited SE in the summer of 2020, and immediately loved it. The grounds are gorgeous, there is plenty of parking, and multiple areas in- and outside the house for guests to explore. If you want a classic New England feel, with a gorgeous backdrop, you'll love the SE. From the bridal suites to the landscaping, everything is exquisite. Joanna, the erst-while director of the estate, was very flexible and patient in answering my Qs and ultimately we felt confident about booking the SE for summer of 2021, despite having no idea what the Covid situation would look like in a year, because we trusted we were in good hands.Fast forward about eight or nine months, Joanna and Humara (the Event Manager at the time), were doing a great job of communicating ; our 60-day meeting in May also went very smoothly. However, things started to get more difficult a couple weeks later when we learned that Joanna would be leaving the SE, and that Humara (who had previously been assigned to us as just a day-of coordinator) would be taking over.Humara clearly had much less experience than Joanna, and it was obvious that she was over capacity with basically single-handedly coordinating all the wedding/events at the SE this summer. Her communication was often unprofessional, she had to be reminded of details multiple times, and we got multiple frenetic and confused emails in the month leading up to the wedding (including one that was sent DURING our wedding ceremony about \"Important things to know before your wedding day\"??!) To her credit, Humara did gamely try to work with us when we were having issues with our caterer and were looking for a last-minute alternate less than a month before the wedding, which I appreciated as it was a tall order. But overall it was just plain stressful to work with her due to her chaotic communication and the fact that she would forget things and then act like it was our fault.On the day of the wedding, all I can say is that it was a success DESPITE Humara and her team, who seemed totally unprepared and unconcerned with us having a smooth client experience. One example was that Humara had berated one of our child guests about scattering rose petals as part of the procession -- instead of talking to an ADULT, she scolded the child before the ceremony, upsetting her, and then sought her out to tell her to clean everything up afterwards. It was totally unprofessional and we had to apologize to the child and her family afterwards for the way she was treated.Despite all the chaos and stress created by the staff, we still had a beautiful wedding day (gorgeously chaotic, I like to say) because of the stunning and well-maintained grounds. Our guests absolutely loved the venue, and it was great that there were so many areas for guests to explore and take pictures. I believe the SE is getting turned over to private management later this year, which hopefully will improve the experience for future guests. I would recommend the SE to future couples IF there is better management, as I think the venue has a lot of potential. However, the SE leadership short-changed us (and probably other couples this summer) by putting a single, less-experienced staff member in charge of the entire 2021 wedding calendar at a gorgeous and in-demand venue.

I would strongly encourage anyone who is planning a wedding to put the Stevens Estate in North Andover, MA at the top of the list for site visits.We held my daughter’s wedding reception there this past weekend and I couldn’t be happier with virtually every aspect of it – especially Joanna Ouellette, the director of the facility. We first discovered the Stevens Estate in early July – just hours after learning that Massachusetts State Pandemic restrictions had understandably forced the cancellation of our planned indoor reception at another venue. Within just a few days, Joanna put all of our concerns at ease and began planning the perfect outdoor reception.Little did we know at the time, that additional restrictions would be imposed less than two weeks before the wedding but once again, Joanna rose to the occasion and worked with us to adapt and overcome. I could write pages on the seemingly endless amount of phone calls but the important thing to know is whenever we called – regardless of the day or time – Joanna answered in a calming voice that told me everything would be ok. When the day came, everything was set up perfectly under a beautiful tent, with chandeliers and meticulously set tables – surrounded by ample, well-manicured lawns and gardens in the shadow of the magnificent Stevens Estate. Joanna also connected us with Two Chefs Are Better than One Catering – one of a handful of in-house caterers that works with the Stevens Estate and the food was absolutely fabulous. Like Joanna, the team at Two Chefs was extremely flexible and accommodating despite all the changing rules and regulations. If you were a guest at this wedding, you would think that it had been carefully planned for more than a year – not just a few weeks, although I can’t imagine things being any better even if we had planned a wedding there under normal circumstances. So if you are one of the many families struggling right now to plan a wedding during these difficult times I would strongly encourage you to call Joanna now.

My wedding at the Stevens Estate was perfect. We were married on 9/21/2019. This was the only venue we looked at. It checked all the boxes. Close to family, beautiful grounds, lots of character and outdoor options for the ceremony and reception. The whole process could not have been smoother. We worked with Margie, who is amazing. From the planning meetings to the end of the night she made sure that everything went smoothly and that we didn't forget anything. She even helped bustle my very complicated dress with my sisters. The bartenders knew what we were drinking before we asked. The set up in the tent was beautiful. We used a caterer, florist and bakery from the partner list. All were wonderful to work with. We ended up with the best weather on the day, warm but not hot and no humidity. I cannot say enough about this wonderful venue and venue staff. My fiancé and I went to see The Stevens Estate after falling in love with a similar historical venue that ended up being too far out of our price range. Not only did The Stevens Estate compare, but we ended up loving it even more. From the drive up the windy hill, which gives you an amazing view of the estate, to the beautifully sculpted grounds, The Stevens Estate was the perfect historical venue. Inside was even more amazing. A few of the historical highlights are the claw foot tub in the bridal suite, a gorgeous organ in the music room, a stained glass window overlooking the staircase of every wedding photographer's dreams and amazing fireplaces in every room. There were countless other small historical details as well. The tent was also beautiful. It sat on pavers compared to other tents that we saw which were on grass or a rented floor. There are lights around the edge of the tent and a few nice chandeliers. We decided to opt for the bistro lights and that really added to the ambiance. We also decided to use the gold chavari chairs in the tent and the white garden chairs for the ceremony. The ceremony space was also nice. There is a pretty arbor that we had decorated with flowers. We walked away from our initial meeting knowing that we would be bookingThe Stevens Estate. Once we booked, Joanna and Gail gave us the details. There are several recommended caterers, and we ended up going with A Day To Remember (and loved them also). They also recommend other vendors as needed. Gail was amazing as well leading up to the wedding. She quickly answered any questions we had and met with us a few times to plan. Since we booked a little of two years before our wedding day, Gail let us come back a few times to remind ourselves what the place looked like. I highly recommend touring the Estate during the winter if you have the chance, because it is decorated spectacularly for Christmas. I also liked that Gail was not pushy in anyway. The day of the wedding went well also. Everything went smoothly and Gail was present the entire time. Cocktail hour was inside and then the bar was moved into the tent. We were given many options when it comes to open bar and they were very flexible. We originally chose to cut the bar off after we hit a certain amount, but asked Gail to notify us when we were close with the option of extending. We did end up extending and that took us to the end of the night. The bar staff were great and had no trouble keeping up. One thing to note is that we did have a few things (just mums, lanterns and pumpkins, nothing of value) disappear from outside of the venue between Saturday night and Monday afternoon. Of course, we were explicitly told ahead of time that they couldn't gaurentee anything left outside would stay there, and it would be at our own risk. There are hiking trails around the Estate, so there is quite a bit of foot traffic. So if you have anything of value, etc. either bring it with you or leave it inside. One last thing to note is that the Estate is close to the football field, so be aware that you could have background noise from the marching band. They were playing during our ceremony and cocktail hour, but it honestly wasn't a big deal and you couldn't really hear it over the DJ. Overall, we have no regrets at all when it comes to or venue choice and everyone loved the place. If you are looking for a beautiful historical venue in the Boston area, I highly suggest looking at The Stevens Estate.

Wow, where do I even start with The Stevens Estate? It's a gorgeous venue and grounds with an amazing coordinator. There's not much more you can ask for! Gail was our main point of contact and she is amazing. Throughout the entire process she was exceptionally helpful in answering questions and offering solutions. She was a refreshing voice in an industry that keeps trying to sell brides and grooms all of the extra things you \"need.\" She kept it simple while still going above and beyond in accommodating us. Gail met with us for a 90-day meeting in addition to a 2-week meeting to go over all the details plus a rehearsal before the wedding while answering countless emails from me. She is full of valuable information and is so kind -- we loved working with her!We held both our ceremony and reception at The Stevens Estate. We had rain on our wedding day, so Gail and our catering team quickly put into action plan B with our ceremony under the tent. They worked hard to make it beautiful for us and from what I remember in that whirlwind of a day, it was perfect! The Bridal Suite upstairs was also a lovely place for me to put on my dress, take some photos with the photographer and have a champagne toast with a few of my favorite ladies. The cocktail hour was held on the first floor of the Estate and guests had a lot of fun exploring the various rooms and taking pictures on the antique couches. The reception was then held under the tent. It was a chilly rainy evening, but guests were able to stay warm with the tent walls down and lots of dancing. The chandeliers and candles on the table made for a wonderful romantic atmosphere. All in all, I can't stay enough great things about Gail and The Stevens Estate. It's a real gem and I highly recommend it!

I had my sights set on a completely different venue until a close friend pushed me to \"just go see\" the Stevens Estate. From the drive up I was absolutely blown away! It is such a gorgeous venue, and it checked all my boxes. Accessible restrooms that weren't far away, good dancing space, a pretty ceremony location, bride and groom suites for getting ready, the list goes on! Not to mention there is a great room where they keep things donated by other brides that you're allowed to use for decoration. I was able to use their easels, several signs, and other small decorations to give our wedding an extra touch of whimsy without having to spend extra money. The best part of the Stevens Estate is the people who work there. Joanna was excellent from the start, and I cannot say enough about Gail, who made our wedding the event I had always dreamed of. She is a fantastic person, and is so good at what she does. It was like having a wedding coordinator by my side the whole process, and she could always answer any questions I had. What you get for the money you pay is great, I know we saved a lot of money by choosing this venue. I had the best experience with the Stevens Estate and would absolutely recommend them to any bride and groom!

I can remember my now-husband telling me to play it cool as we drove up the long, hilly driveway to drive up to the immaculate mansion because he knew I fell in love right away. The inside didn't disappoint either. It was a spacious area with multiple rooms that were gorgeously decorated. Gail was super friendly, informative and gave us our space to discuss and explore. We quickly put down a deposit for the very last Saturday available in 2015 (don't wait too long, dates go fast!). Our decision wasn't solely because of the beautiful location, it was because it was actually an affordable venue that didn't charge you for every single little thing, the bar options were flexible and we could pick our own vendors. We originally had a caterer that we wanted to bring in, and circumstances didn't work out and we were without a caterer late in the game. Stevens Estate recommended one of their preferred caterers that could accommodate our family style dinner and they were great. (Side note: definitely explore the preferred caterers before going out of their recommendations. They already know the kitchen and process so it just makes everything so much easier and puts you at ease. There are some awesome choices at different price ranges.) Throughout the year, Gail was quick to reply to my many emails and very accommodating to us when we wanted to stop by (we live an hour away and my parents don't live in MA). The week leading up to the wedding, hurricane Joaquin gave us a little scare. Gail was so calming and helped us with everything we needed to do since we had our reception in the tent. Luckily, the weather held up. It was cold but with the sides on the tent, it warmed up really quickly with 200 guests, 14 or so servers and a 7 piece band. Even with that many people, the tent never felt crowded and there was enough space throughout the house and the grounds throughout the day. Gail was so helpful all day coordinating with vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly and on time. Our bus was late picking up the bridal party to get to the church ceremony and Gail was in touch with the bus company so we didn't have to. She kept the reception flowing and let us know where we needed to be all with a smile and fun attitude. Towards the end of the night she pulled my husband aside to let us know we were nearing our cap for open bar and gave us options. We appreciated it because we ended up keeping it open longer. The day was absolutely perfect and a lot of that has to do with the awesome service from Gail, the bartenders and all the staff. Brides - don't think twice! Book this place!

We decided to have our wedding at the Stevens Estate since we wanted an outdoor ceremony and to be able to bring in our own caterer...we are so glad we chose to do it here. The venue is absolutely stunning...you drive up a long hill to get to the estate at the top which feels like you are driving into a fairy tale. The estate itself has multiple floors...we used the top bride and groom suites to get dressed in, and had an extra room for all the kids to get ready/nap in. We used the downstairs of the estate for cocktail hour and had different appetizers spread throughout. There is both an inside and outdoor bar. Our ceremony was on the lawn with the chivari chairs set up and the arbor decorated. We did the tented reception and there was plenty of room for everyone. Gail, the wedding planner at the Stevens Estate, is an absolute life saver. We were the first of any of our friends to get married so were a little clueless when it came to everything we needed. Gail helped us with anything and everything. As it got closer to the big day and I started worrying about all the little details, she assured me she would make sure everything went smoothly, and it did. We received so many compliments on our choice of venue. This venue is breathtakingly beautiful and the Gail is exactly the type of person you want on your team while planning your big day!

I am a recent bride and I had the opposite experience with The Stevens Estate and Erin in particular. From the moment I walked in Erin and Gail were attentive, accommodating and friendly. I felt like all my questions and concerns were addressed promptly and in depth. We hired off the preferred vendor list and every detail was taken care of and then some. Erin was very good at reminding me when we needed to go over details. She even did the floor plan and the timeline for us that all the vendors worked off of. She helped keep me organized throughout the planning process. I wouldn’t have changed a thing! The grounds are gorgeous and the staff was gracious the whole time.

Lack of customer service. Erin, the director was very difficult to work with. Giving us one word emails and offering no solid advice or expertise regarding our celebration. It was very clear that for reasons unknown she did not want to work with us.\rLack of professionalism. Unfortunately, some of our lanterns were stolen from the property overnight. When I asked Erin for information and help in trying to locate the lanterns, her reply was that the Stevens Estate was not responsible for these items and went on to make the claim that she saw guests with the lanterns but refused to offer any other explanation or help as to who, where, or when.\rLack of care. My family had spent a small fortune on this event, inviting 300+ guests. The event was a huge success, regardless of Erin's horrible attitude and lack of service. However, we all had to work that much harder to fill in the gaps that Erin and her staff should of taken on.

Set up on a quiet hill in north andover surrounded by forest, we felt like we had the whole world to ourselves and our guests. The permanent tent is HUGE, with these beautiful chandeliers and stone floor. Our guests had full access to explore the mansion and sprawling grounds, and the sun set over the trees and created this light that my guests are still raving about!! I couldn't have asked for more!!

The Stevens Estate was such a beautiful place to have our wedding and rehearsal dinner. The grounds were wonderful and well maintained and the inside of the estate was picturesque and historical. The Estate is large enough for a big wedding with plenty of space but an intimate feel or it can be small enough for a smaller wedding, depending how you use the space. We had our ceremony and reception here and it really was as perfect as could be. Our guests could not stop telling us how beautiful our venue was. Both Gail and Erin did an amazing job making sure our wedding day was perfect. Everyone told us before the wedding that things would go wrong and we would just have to live with it, but thanks to Gail and Erin, our wedding went completely smoothly with no hitches. We would not hesitate to recommend this spot for a wedding or any other event.

When we first starting planning for our big day, we knew that we didn't want to be married in a church, we didn't want our wedding at a country club, and we didn't want to be married in a hotel ball room. We had half of our guests traveling from the west coast and we wanted to be able to highlight the beauty of New England as part of our celebration. We visited at least 10 historic homes/venues throughout Massachusetts and the Stevens Estate was, by far, the best option for us. First and foremost, the Estate is beautiful. Added bonuses that helped us make our decision were that the Estate was extremely affordable in comparison to other options, the Estate offered more flexibility than other venues, and we loved the Estate's Director, Erin. During the months of planning, Erin was always responsive and attentive to our questions and suggestions. She made time for us to bring our parents to the Estate for a tour and offered her help and advice when we needed it. Immediately before the wedding she met with us to be sure that all of the details were correct for our day. \r\rOur entire evening ran smoothly from start to finish. We arrived a couple of hours before the wedding and found that Gail and Erin had set up the bride and groom rooms with cold drinks for the wedding party, which were much needed on that 90+ degree day. We had planned our day so that we would be mostly ready by the time we arrived, leaving us a couple of hours of touching up and relaxing in the beautiful rooms at the estate-great for photos. \r\rWe had our ceremony on the lawn and were able to set up the chairs exactly as we had envisioned. Rather than in standard rows, our chairs were set up in a circular fashion, which everyone loved. The staff set the chairs up for us this way, no questions asked. This was another thing we really liked about the Estate-we were able to personalize the venue as much as we wanted to, whereas other venues had a lot of restrictions. We had decorations on the lawn and throughout the mansion. Erin made sure that we were able to incorporate all of our personal touches into our day. \r\rDuring the cocktail hour, our guests roamed the grounds and toured the mansion. The catering staff and Gail were extremely helpful in directing people to the mansion, the bar, the restrooms, etc. Our guests were all in awe of the beauty of the Estate, while we snapped some beautiful photos with this amazing backdrop. \r\rOur reception was under the tent and everything about it was perfect. We used one of the Stevens Estate's preferred caterers, A Day to Remember. The food was AMAZING. We received so many comments from guests saying that our wedding meal was the best they ever had. While the adults wined and dined, the kids were running around the lawn of the Estate enjoying themselves. \r\rOur goal was to make our wedding one that all of our guests would enjoy and remember. By choosing the Stevens Estate as our venue and A Day to Remember as our caterer, we were able to accomplish that. So many of our guests have told us that they've never been to a more beautiful wedding. Our day was far from being a \"cookie cutter\" wedding. We stayed within our budget, all while getting everything we dreamed of. Had we gone with our second choice venue, we would have spent $3,000 more (at a minimum). \r\r \r\r

When we first starting planning for our big day, we knew that we didn't want to be married in a church, we didn't want our wedding at a country club, and we didn't want to be married in a hotel ball room. We had half of our guests traveling from the west coast and we wanted to be able to highlight the beauty of New England as part of our celebration. We had our wedding at the Stevens Estate in North Andover. I loved the setting -- the ceremony and reception were all outdoors in the same area, and the old historic building provided a great back drop for the event. \r\rWe opted for a Sunday wedding to save some money, but it was still expensive in my book. It was just over $6,000 to rent the space for 130 people. This included the tables, chairs and bar tenders. (no drinks or food, we had to cough up the same amount just to feed everyone) The estate has specific caterers to choose from, if you want to go with someone else you pay an additional $4.10/head. \r\rThe coordinator was nice, but not specific about her duties. She never called, and seemed quick in her e-mails. I got the vibe that I was always bugging her. \r\rDay of - there weren't enough chairs at some tables. This may have been an issue with the caterer, but the estate wasn't quick to rectify either. It took almost 15 min and the solution was random chairs throughout the estate. No back ups. \r\rWe lost power twice.. not sure what the issue was there. \r\rWe were only allowed to be there 3 hours early, which was difficult because we were acting as our own florists. It took about 2 hours to get all of the decorations and centerpieces together, which left an hour for 5 girls to do hair and make up in one bathroom. It was frantic, and we were late. \r\rThe also positioned our guest book table with the seating cards at an entrance away from the parking lot that no one used. As a result, no one knew their assigned seat, and the first few minutes after cocktail hour where a bit of a mess. My own mother ran in and carried out the table with someone while the DJ announced to go get your cards. (it was a beautifully display that we had worked hard on too.. it should have been at the tent entrance.) \r\rOverall I feel like I paid too much for too many flaws and uncertainly. However the grounds were beautiful, and my DJ was fantastic. Many people are still raving about the wedding.

My husband and I must have looked at every venue in the area, and we certainly do not regret choosing the Stevens Estate one bit! Erin, Gail, and all the staff at the estate had a big hand in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. The estate itself is beautiful and well cared for, with the grounds and interior of the house providing endless options for photos. The tent provides the indoor/outdoor reception experience that my husband and I really wanted, and it’s basically weather-proof! It has a concrete floor and the sides are included (other venues charge extra for tent flooring and sides). Erin, Gail, and the estate staff not only kept our wedding day running smoothly, they were extremely professional and organized in the months leading up to the wedding. Erin answered every email promptly and courteously, and when we met to make final decisions the month before the wedding, all my fears about the organization of the wedding day were put to rest. These ladies know their stuff! Beyond that, they were friendly and warm. They showed an interest in getting to know my husband and me (and even our families) and making our wedding day special and unique to us as a couple. They certainly did just that! If you choose to hold your wedding at the Stevens Estate (and you should), you should definitely use their recommended caterer A Day to Remember. Sean (the chef) and Lori (the event coordinator) are amazing people! They worked with our budget to create our dream menu. Guests raved about the food. One particularly difficult to please relative said that the stuffed chicken dish was the best chicken he’d ever had! Just like the estate staff, Lori and A Day to Remember staff really showed an interest in making the day special for my husband and me. Lori even took photos and video at the wedding and sent it to my husband and me the next day. How sweet is that? As I stated at the beginning of this post, my husband and I looked at TONS of venues, so I can say with confidence that the Stevens Estate (along with A Day to Remember catering) provides a beautiful, elegant event for a steal compared to what most venues in this area charge. My husband and I would change absolutely NOTHING about our wedding, and the estate was a big part of making our day so perfect!

My husband and I looked at many venues before choosing the Stevens Estate. We both fell in love with the venue when we viewed it. From the very beginning Erin was amazing to work with. Erin and Gail are very easy to get in touch with and respond to every detail. We loved A Day to Remember the caterer that has been used at the Estate for many many weddings and I know why. Their food is amazing!! They worked with our budget and had so many great ideas for the menu we wanted. Our guests are still talking about the food and how it has been by far the best wedding food they have ever had. Even though it hailed at our wedding it was the best day ever. As soon as we pulled up and saw the rolling hills and the Estate peeking at us as we drove closer, Dan and I knew this had to be it. We had the pleasure of meeting Gail and we instantly enjoyed her laid back personality. She was easy going and we adored her laugh. When she gave us the run down of what was to be expected during your typical wedding at the Estate we were sold. The day of our wedding was everything we had hoped for. From the food which was provided by A Day to Remember which was FANTASTIC to the service provided by Erin and Gail , words just can not explain how happy and comfortable they made us feel. Erin was cracking jokes me as I was waiting to walk down the stairs to see my dad. Totally washing any nerves away. I could cry now just thinking about appreciative I was of her on that day. It was absolutely amazing. We've been married just about 2 months now and we are still hearing about how awesome everything was. The bartenders were so sweet. Smiling as they served drinks, cracking jokes. One bartender even offered to hold my dress as I was headed to the restroom. WHAT SERVICE IS THAT!!!!! I will never forget that day as long I live. And I have Erin, Gail, Lori, Shawn and all of ADTR to thank for that. Dan and I could not have picked a better venue. It was everything we dreamed of. Thank you Erin and Gail!!!

I cant say enough about the Erin and her staff at The Stevens Estate! They were not only efficient and professional but also supportive and friendly. Two months before I was to be married, my fiancé was hospitalized. It made planning the wedding on my own almost impossible! Erin was not only reassuring and helpful but compassionate. She asked that I relax and let the Stevens Estate make my dreams come true...and with complete faith, I did! In the end, it was the best day of my life! I will always remember how supportive and sympatric she was when I had to change or cancel meetings. Additionally, she recommended wonderful vendors! We went with a Day to Remember (Erin's Suggestion) for our Caters and we could not be happier with the services provided. For days later, my family couldn’t stop talking about what a perfect day it all turned out to be. The Food, the atmosphere, and décor left me wanting to get married all over again. I would recommend the Stevens Estate to Friends, Family, or even the woman sitting next to me on the bus. I have the fondest memories and I wish everyone to have the same for their wedding day.

As soon as I walked into the Stevens Estate for the first time, I KNEW it was the PERFECT place for our wedding. From the first day I met her, Erin (the Estate's director) was nothing but supportive and incredibly helpful. She was very accommodating every time I asked to stop by the Estate for one thing or another. The planning process was so easy and smooth with The Steven's Estate. Erin is so laid back and truly wants to help you have the wedding that you’ve imagined. Since the Estate is so gorgeous, we also chose to have our rehearsal dinner there the night before our wedding, which was wonderful. Even though the Steven’s Estate needed minimal for decorations, it was nice to have the freedom to decorate things how you wanted to. Since I had decided to do all my own flowers for the wedding, Erin was even kind enough to let me put all the centerpieces together at the estate the day before the wedding. Also, Erin was amazing with her recommendations of vendors. We used everyone she recommended and could not have been happier with them (caterer, DJ, and Car Service). Gail was equally as amazing and she did such a great job making sure everything was taken care of during our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. \rThe caterers that we used, A Day to Remember, were absolutely phenomenal. They came highly recommended from the Estate and I can’t recommend them enough. My husband and I had so much fun creating the menu for both our rehearsal dinner and reception with them. Shawn and Lori worked with us to create a great family style mean for our reception as well as our rehearsal dinner menu. Above all, the food was AMAZING and our guests are still talking about it. Also, Lori made the BEST red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting I have EVER had. \rIf I ever have the opportunity to throw another event, I would definitely use the Steven’s Estate again. It’s gorgeous, unique, and the staff is amazing to work with. \r

I am giving this place a 3 because the venue was gorgeous and Gail at Stevens Estate was amazing and really went above and beyond but I did not have a wonderful experience with one of the other staff members there which really affected my experience at the Estate overall.\r\rAlso, you cannot eat upstairs in the bridal suite AT ALL and all alcohol is by consumption so you cannot do a champagne toast by purchasing bottles of wine, etc so keep that in mind for your planning.

I am giving this place a 3 because the venue was gorgeous and Gail at Stevens Estate was amazing and really went above and beyond but I did not have a wonderful experience with one of the other staff members there which really affected my experience at the Estate overall.\r\rAlso, you cannot eat upstairs in the bridal suite AT ALL and all alcohol is by consumption so you cannot do a champagne toast by purchasing bottles of wine, etc so keep that in mind for your planning.

Erin had this laid back attitude and allowed us to peruse the entire venue without pressuring us or giving that overly enthusiastic chatter about every little detail. She answered all of our questions, and just gave us a great vibe. She had recomendations for other vendors when needed, and was easy to reach throughout the process. Gail also helped us especially on the day of, really making things happen. Getting the guests to finally take their seats for the ceremony before the thunderstorm and i'm sure many other things i don't even realize. \r\rA great venue if you want your ceremony in the same place as your reception. The house is really neat for cocktail hour, so your guests can peruse, and then the tent outside looks great at night with the chandeliers and white string lights. \r\rAlso its easy to make this place your own for the day. Erin was very laid back about all of the decor and ideas we had, seems like a lot of brides took advantage of that. Looking at pictures from other weddings, it was the same venue but really different weddings.\r\rAlso perfect for outdoor photos :)

I really can not say enough about this place! I was married here on 10/16/10 and when I say I had the PERFECT wedding, I mean it was EXACTLY what I dreamed of! If it wasn't for the coordinator Laura, I wouldn't have booked this place for my wedding. She, out of all the other vendors, was just fabulous from day one. Her personality was great! You could tell right away that she just loved her job, she gave me so many ideas on how to save money, she referred me to my caterer who was phenomenal, she was even open to letting me have my dog as my ring bearer! I am STILL getting compliments on my wedding and how beautiful it was and how wonderful the staff was! She was there for me the day of and she helped us decorate last minute, she did a beautiful job on decorating the archway where we got married in front of that was outside. I am still glowing about how wonderful my day was and how they made me truly feel like a princess that day. I was not stressed out about a thing because I was so confident with her. The whole night there was someone there making sure we had a drink in our hand and making sure we were happy about just the littlest things. I truly felt like a princess that day and it will NEVER be forgotten! If you want a private atmosphere surrounded by the woods you will just love this place. I liked that I didn't have to share my day with any other brides and that my guests felt like they were at home, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I rate the Steven's Estate a 20! I can't wait to visit them again for the Valentine's Day Party- I get to wear my dress again!

I really can not say enough about this place! I was married here on 10/16/10 and when I say I had the PERFECT wedding, I mean it was EXACTLY what I dreamed of! If it wasn't for the coordinator Laura, I wouldn't have booked this place for my wedding. She, out of all the other vendors, was just fabulous from day one. Her personality was great! You could tell right away that she just loved her job, she gave me so many ideas on how to save money, she referred me to my caterer who was phenomenal, she was even open to letting me have my dog as my ring bearer! I am STILL getting compliments on my wedding and how beautiful it was and how wonderful the staff was! She was there for me the day of and she helped us decorate last minute, she did a beautiful job on decorating the archway where we got married in front of that was outside. I could not have asked for a more perfect place to get married! We searched everywhere for a place that had ambiance and reflected our style. The Stevens Estate did NOT fall short.\rLaura was there for us from the first day, She was amazing!! She had patience and humor and was always one step ahead. \rThe price was competitive, the grounds were beautiful and we loved that we got to spend the night. \rI would get married here 100 more times (with the help of Laura) if I could! ; )

Day of: Exceeded Expectations\rPlanning Process: Did Not Meet Expectation\rWould I use this vendor again: Yes\rThis is a tough one. If I were to grade based on the day of, I would give them an A. However, I would grade my experience in the months leading up to the event in the as a C, and a D in some aspects. \r\rPositives: The grounds of the estate are absolutely gorgeous, especially for a spring/summer wedding. Our pictures all have the gorgeous background of the estate and our guests really enjoyed being able to roam the grounds and enjoy the gorgeous weather during cocktail hour. Another big plus is that the price to rent the estate is very reasonable and included rentals of just about everything but chairs, which saves a lot of money and hassle if you are planning a tented wedding. The included linens are a little basic, so if you are planning to use the estate, I would budget in a linen rental as well. Simply Elegant, one of the available caterers there, is absolutely amazing and very affordable (I did a separate review for them). \r\rMonique, the woman that ended up being our venue coordinator in the 2-3 weeks leading up to the wedding, was really responsive, organized, detail oriented and managed to save the day. If you are planning on booking a wedding there, I highly suggest asking for Monique. I was very impressed with her professionalism. In the end, our day went off without a hitch. \r\rNegatives: I think the main negative aspects for the Stevens Estate are communication and professionalism. My main contact was Laura, who was incredibly responsive and friendly when we were looking to book the estate. However, I felt that once we put down the deposit, the level of responsiveness went down. Getting a response required multiple emails/ phone calls. Annoying, but since my wedding was rather far off, I dealt with it and assumed the responsiveness would improve as the wedding got closer. \r\rThree weeks before the wedding, I still had to follow up multiple times to get a response on some major items like tent layout and final costs for rentals, etc. Much of the information I tried to confirm was incorrect, giving me the impression that she had only sporadically updated our file. After I expressed my frustration with the lack of communication and organization, there became a major problem with professionalism. I was actually really surprised with the level that it was taken to. We were reassigned to Monique, who was like a dream, and everything ended up really great. Also, as a credit to the Stevens Estate, the chair of the committee that oversees the Estate caught wind of the issues we were having and emailed my mother to acknowledge our concerns. \r\rOverall, I think the Stevens Estate has a lot of potential, but could probably use some additional resources. The value for the cost is really good, but I would plan on being extremely proactive and hands on if you intend to have you wedding there. I am happy we did.

Amy Shore (Director of Sales) Amy began her career at The Ritz Carlton Boston Common, starting first as a server, and eventually working her way up to Assistant Director of Dining Services overseeing all food and beverage departments for the hotel. After three and a half intense years, Amy realized that her true passion was in wedding catering. Before joining Fireside Catering in 2010, she worked at 2 of Boston’s premiere caterers, executing a large number of events as a wedding sales manager.
