The Stockroom at 230 is an urban venue nestled on the second floor of a century-old, Classic Revival building on Fayetteville Street in Downtown Raleigh. The perfect blend of old and new stories welcome your guests as they stroll the city block by block, experiencing the Raleigh lifestyle inclusive of exceptional accommodations, restaurants, retail, and galleries. Abundant in historic charm, the architecture of the venue is characterized by exposed brick, warm hardwood floors, and lofty lattice ceilings, crafting a picturesque canvas to highlight your unique style. The natural glow illuminating the room draws rich tones from its design evoking awe in all who experience it. The venue space was beautiful! The glass room made for an amazing place to get ready and take pictures. We used the entrance hallway to hang pictures of my husband. Little decoration is needed because of the character of the space itself.

My wife and I can't say enough good things about our experience with The Stockroom at 230. We had a particularly long engagement (26 months!), but knew locking down a venue was the most important step. We actually picked the venue from a state away in the thick of the pandemic in early 2021, and we couldn't be happier with how our virtual choice turned out.The venue boasted an incredibly helpful staff, numerous vendor connections (catering from legit restaurants around Raleigh with a discount? Big time.), and a multitude of use spaces beyond the wonderful main room for ceremony and reception (you've got to look into The Glass Box, a picturesque penthouse/rooftop space perfect for a bride to get ready and for a happy couple to escape to throughout the night).And y'all, location?? Locking down room blocks with downtown Raleigh hotels ensured our guests could be walking distance from the venue, so no shuttles (or designated drivers) were necessary. Not to mention, after closing out the celebration, we were able to take the party to bars in the Raleigh social district! Oh yeah, lots of great photo opportunities within the venue and the surrounding area too. Really, The Stockroom at 230 is the whole package. We have the best memories of our time there, and now every time we walk down Fayetteville Street we get a wonderful reminder of our big day. Make sure you choose The Stockroom so you can do the same!

We wanted space that could hold a possible 100 guests comfortably as well as a space that could be utilized for both ceremony and reception. The team there was professional and answered all of our questions quickly. Their list of preferred vendors was top notch. The Glass Box - that you get as part of the wedding rental - is just gorgeous, with plenty of space to get ready and a beautiful rooftop deck for photos, as well as secure for purses and personal items. On the wedding day itself, the venue hosts worked seamlessly with our day of planner and vendors. It was an absolute dream of a wedding!

I fell in love with the rustic/industrial vibes of Stockroom venue and how gorgeous the Glass Box bridal suite was and knew right away that it was exactly what I wanted for my wedding. We were originally supposed to have our wedding on November 2020 but had to reschedule it twice and the team at Stockroom was so understanding and accommodating about it. I had a great time working with the team at Stockroom. They were great at responding to emails and making sure everything was set for the wedding day.

My son and daughter-in-law were married at The Stockroom at 230 in March. It was perfect! The staff was great to work with and the catering was great! Having the top floor for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready was ideal. I highly recommend the venue!

The venue itself is awesome. I cannot say the same for my interactions with their staff members. s. Our \"event\" person couldn't even remember that we had met several times, reintroducing herself to us every time, which left me feeling very \"forgettable\" . The whole experience/interactions during planning felt like they no longer cared about us once they received our check. If it weren't for the beauty of the venue, we would have gotten married somewhere else.

Absolutely LOVED the Stockroom! We got multiple comments from our guests about how gorgeous it was, and the market lights made the dance floor feel very cozy. Everything from the natural decor to the service from the coordination team made for a perfect, seamless wedding. Taylor was prompt in her replies and very flexible through COVID changes. One thing to note is that they do require a Day Of Coordinator (which can't be a relative), which we kept forgetting but were ultimately glad we hired. We delayed our wedding reception in part so we could keep it at the Stockroom and are very glad we did so!

Even though it rained on my wedding day, my husband and I were able to have a perfect day with our ceremony indoors -- and we also opted for The Glass Box and The Groom's Room so we were able to get ready on-site! We did all of our pictures in the venue as well!The Stockroom includes tables and chairs which is a HUGE plus, and the hanging lights are to die for -- so gorgeous! I also love the flooring, the exposed brick, and the option of the chalkboard wall as a major show stopper at your wedding! Overall, this venue had absolutely everything I needed for my perfect day, and I couldn't be happier. I loved working with the team there, and I can't thank them enough.If you're hesitating -- don't! This venue is a dream come true.

The Stockroom is an absolutely amazing place. We had our ceremony cocktail hour and reception there and it was the perfect day. The location is perfect for out of town guests and having everything under one roof made planning very easy.

We were able to have both the wedding ceremony and reception here, and our guests walked from our hotel 2 blocks away to the venue. We were also within walking distance to dinners out, night clubs, breakfast spots... it was all just perfect! Caroline at The Stockroom worked well with all of our vendors and made sure that our day was just perfect! We would not change one thing! The Glass Box was the best for hanging out before the wedding with the bridal party and the view up there is terrific. The space is attractive, accommodating, convenient, and all around 100% perfect! the Chalk board wall is such a nice touch as are the string lights, the bar, the wall for hanging personal photos... it was all just perfect and we honestly would not change 1 thing!!!

The Stockroom at 230 worked out perfectly for our wedding. It was so easy to have everyone in one space and the logistics of being right downtown could not have worked out better! There were so many options to add our own style to the space. We were also able to keep things simple because there is already so much character in both the Stockroom and the Glass Box. The team was always very responsive and helpful throughout the process. We strongly recommend the Stockroom for anyone looking for a downtown venue in the heart for Raleigh.

We had our reception in the Stockroom and it was absolutely perfect! We were able to fit 150 guests with a 5 piece band in the center of the room and it was an absolute party! Not to mention, it was elegant, beautiful, and so fun to be in the center of downtown Raleigh. Everyone was so accommodating. They even let us load in all of our stuff the day before since there was not another event going on! Thank you so much Molly, Caroline, and to the rest of the team! We had our reception at The Stockroom 230 and felt the location was perfect and everything turned out beautifully! The staff was easy to work with and they were very flexible with rescheduling when we had a conflict with our initial date. The set up was great for a wedding of 135 people and the staff was able to break down some tables after dinner to make more room for the dance floor. At the end of the night, it was super convenient for walking to downtown bars and hotels which was perfect for our guests. We got lots of compliments on how beautiful the space was. And the good thing is, you really do not need to use much decorations for the space—it is pretty all on its on (especially with the market lights!) We did have two down sides to the venue: 1, we required extra set up time and break down time because of our band and with every hour there is an extra clean up fee and 2, the venue does not have a reserved space out front which made it difficult for some of our vendors to unload (this was particularly difficult for family/friends that we had helping us who were not familiar with the process). Also keep in mind that there are only public parking/parking garages available to guests. Otherwise, we absolutely loved everything about our day and the Stockroom worked out perfectly!

We had our reception at The Stockroom 230 and felt the location was perfect and everything turned out beautifully! The staff was easy to work with and they were very flexible with rescheduling when we had a conflict with our initial date. The set up was great for a wedding of 135 people and the staff was able to break down some tables after dinner to make more room for the dance floor. At the end of the night, it was super convenient for walking to downtown bars and hotels which was perfect for our guests. We got lots of compliments on how beautiful the space was. And the good thing is, you really do not need to use much decorations for the space—it is pretty all on its on (especially with the market lights!) I love this venue. Such a perfect blank canvas to gather a big group of people in the same room. The Stockroom at 230 felt great inside, even if it was humid and hot hot HOT outside. All of the Empire Eats venues and restaurants are fabulous, so you should take a look into renting their spaces (The Raleigh Times, The Morning Times, Sitti, The Pit, The Glass Box, All Saints Chapel, and The Stockroom at 230). Because our event was so large, we went with one of their venues that could accommodate the most people. We definitely made the right choice with The Stockroom at 230.

My now husband and I are so glad we chose The Stockroom at 230 to use for our wedding reception. It was an easy choice with the exposed brick walls and the ability to transform the room into anything you want it to be. The staff was accomodating and professional. They answered any questions quickly and fully. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a cozy urban loft for their wedding or other events. Our day was absolutely perfect and we continue to get compliments on how beautiful the space was. One piece of advice: Book early!!!

We had our reception at The Stockroom immediately following our ceremony at All Saints Chapel. The Stockroom has a wonderful urban feel, while managing to still be inviting. All of our guests were raving about the space, and our in town guests felt like we found a hidden gem. We worked with Alexandra who was kind, professional, and extremely helpful in making sure our reception (and ceremony at All Saints Chapel) went off without a hitch. Alexandra was able to provide wonderful recommendations and coordinate with our Wedding Planner during the weeks leading up to our ceremony and reception. I love that the space is right in the middle of downtown Raleigh, so it gave our guests lots of options for fun at the end of the evening. There are so many options for décor at The Stockroom, but if nothing was done at all it would still be beautiful. Market lights are a must, and accentuate the space perfectly. LOVED our experience at The Stockroom, and wouldn’t change a thing.

I immediately fell in love with the old school charm of this venue. The rustic feeling of the brick walls and exposed beams was exactly what we wanted. The main negative I have is the chalkboard wall. In my opinion I think it cheapens the space and looks tacky. Also, for the price you do not get much time there. I did really love the venue and luckily the chalkboard wall wasn't too terribly noticeable after all.

I absolutely love The Stockroom! It is the perfect venue for a downtown Raleigh wedding. My ceremony was at All Saints Chapel and I had my reception here with about 180 guests. We had a seat for everyone, buffet dinner, and a dance floor so it was a little tight but my amazing coordinator Priscilla with Orangerie Events made it work! The venue has an elevator so this makes it much easier for elderly guests. Parking for the venue can be a little tricky, especially if there are a lot of events going on downtown but overall I say don't worry about that! Your guests will figure it out. I had mine park in parking garages nearby on Wilmington St and they just had to walk a block or two. I recommend putting some kind of sign out front on the door or on the sidewalk indicating the entrance because it can be difficult to find if your guests are unfamiliar with Fayetteville Street. I also recommend splurging a little and renting market lights for your reception. I rented mine from Sarah Morris at ThemeWorks and we put them over the dance floor. They were beautiful and definitely worth it! Katie Rae was great to work with and very responsive. I did have a little problem when Empire charged my credit card a couple months before a payment was scheduled according to my contract. This brought some headaches but Katie Rae helped get everything sorted out. Overall this venue is fantastic and I would highly recommend it!
