A Quaint 1923 Ranch that Boasts Beautiful Views
This beautiful restored historic 1923 farmhouse, The Swanner House, located in San Juan Capistrano, CA, on a five-acre property amongst orange groves, is the perfect location for your wedding or special event. If you and your partner are looking for a romantic backdrop for your big day, then this destination is an ideal choice. Located minutes from downtown San Juan Capistrano, this charming farmhouse is close to the amazing amenities and first-class lodging in the downtown. The wedding party can utilize the entire second floor of The Swanner House, complete with a private get-ready suite for the entire bridal party, as well as a private restroom, beverage, and appetizer room. The groom and groomsman have a private ready room complete with a whiskey bar, billiards room, restroom and kitchen. The manicured grounds of the property consist of a large entry courtyard, complete with fountains and an indoor-outdoor bar, a reception area for more than 300 guests, and a ceremony lawn with a majestic oak tree as the backdrop for your ceremony. When you book here, the onsite staff will do their best to ensure that your big day goes off without a hitch. The team at Swanner House works with a select group of catering companies and vendors. Our wedding from start to finish was absolutely magical all thanks to the amazing team at A Stone’s Throw Winery! From Day 1 they’ve been so receptive, flexible, and understanding of everything we wanted for our wedding day and delivered above and beyond our expectations!!! Linda is seriously the nicest person and so warm and caring to making sure everything we want as part of wedding was executed perfectly. Michele is outstanding!! She is the best coordinator and I’m so thankful I had her throughout our planning process and the day of our wedding. Everything went perfectly smooth and she was attentive to all the details we wanted. I could not have gotten through this without her!! I know that venues are very busy every weekend with weddings but I never felt that they weren’t fully there for us and what we wanted leading up to our wedding day. I’m not sure my typed words will give you enough understanding of my excitement and enthusiasm as I write this about our wedding day at AST. We are so blessed we picked the perfect venue with the best people that made our day so magical. If you want a perfect, euphoric, wonderful wedding day at a beautiful place with the nicest most skilled people...A Stone’s Throw Winery is your venue. Thank you so much AST. We love you guys.

Just got back from our honeymoon and 2 weeks later, we are still on a high from our wedding at Hamilton Oaks/A Stone's Throw Winery. THIS WEDDING VENUE IS A DREAM! It is everything we had dreamed about, hoped for, AND MORE!For anyone who is considering this venue as a wedding option, we have a few things to share:1. THE FREEWAY IS NOT AN ISSUE. This was something we were so worried about before the wedding. We were worried about the sound of the cars and if guests would be distracted. It was not an issue. People are talking during the cocktail hour and enjoying themselves so much, they didn't notice. I repeat: It is not an issue.2. THE TRAIN IS NOT AN ISSUE. If it went by, I never noticed. It definitely did not come during our ceremony and I never noticed it during the reception. 3. The sunset is A DREAM. It's so beautiful while it sets during the reception. We had a 430-5pm ceremony, 5-6 cocktail, and 6-10 reception. It was perfect timing for photos and the sunset. 4. I got ready in the bridal suite and it was so fun to watch the wedding get set up while we got ready. It's close quarters, but we made it work. The staff was so kind and helpful throughout the day.5. The Staff is amazing. Everyone is so lovely and helpful. Best Security and Staff Ever! Our guests had an amazing time.6. The wedding coordinators at VIP Events and Weddings are so wonderful and helpful. We could not have asked for a better team than Kaleigh and Sanya. And the vendors they provide in packages are incredible. Obviously, we could not be happier. I could not gush more. Thank you to everyone at Hamilton Oaks/A Stone's Throw and VIP Events and Weddings. We had the perfect day and you were a HUGE reason why!
