The historic Union Club of Cleveland provides an unparalleled ambiance for your special day. Our Ballroom is one of Cleveland 's most sophisticated spaces, accommodating up to 250 attendees. The Union Club’s stately crest and grand clubhouse speak clearly of prestige and precedent. Throughout our handsome corridors, up our marble staircase, from the corners of our richly paneled Reading Room, and across our spacious Ballroom echo the voices of the luminaries who have shaped The Union Club since our founding in 1872. The Union Club continuously endeavors to provide unrivaled facilities and impeccable service consistent with our traditional emphasis on gracious hospitality and timeless elegance. Our Wedding packages are inclusive and offers the following: ~ On site event coordinator ~ Valet parking, service charge and taxes ~ Floor length linen tablecloths, napkins, and silver flatware ~ Butler passed hors d’ oeuvres ~ Complimentary wedding cake cutting ~ Complimentary bartenders and coat check ~ Complimentary day use of a guest room; great to use for hair/makeup prior to the ceremony There is a $20,000 food and beverage minimum for 2023 weddings; this is inclusive of service fee and tax on a Saturday. Everything was perfection.The venue itself is stunning and timeless, with so much to offer. Truly unlike any other venue in Cleveland. Our guests raved about the food and the impeccable service. All of the staff is professional, warm, welcoming and was from beginning to end and even after. Additionally, the transition from working with Nancy to Sarah as our POC was seamless and Sarah jumped in with grace and ease. We can not say enough about how blown away we were by the union club. It will forever have such a special place in our hearts, we can’t imagine having had our reception anywhere else.

My husband and I got married at the Union Club in May 2023 and could not have had a better experience with Sarah Hanson and the Union Club staff. I was originally worried when there was a staffing change in the middle of our wedding planning process, but Sarah came in ready to go. She was communicative, organized, empathetic, and receptive to any adjustments we wanted to make. All of our guests raved about the food and the seamlessness of the whole evening, in addition to it being a beautiful space. I can't recommend Sarah and the Union Club enough!

Nancy and The Union Club staff went above and beyond all of our expectations during the whole weekend of our wedding. We started planning our daughter's wedding 2 years ago and booked The Union Club at that time. We were planning a large wedding (around 225 is the maximum there). With Covid still lurking and with additional family health issues, we made the decision to decrease our guest count to 85 - just immediate family. Nancy and her staff did everything possible to make our experience fantastic, from the bride and groom, toddlers to 90 year old grandparents. They were open and flexible and provided excellent service from the time we arrived at 9:00 a.m. to when we left at 12:30 a.m. the next morning. Cocktail hour was fantastic with two bars, no waiting, delicious signature drinks, abundant and delicious appetizers and plenty of comfortable chairs, couches and high tops for people to relax, eat and chat. The dinner was excellent - beautiful salad, hot food that was cooked perfectly, delicious desserts, wine and late night pizza. There was not one unpleasant moment in the two years of planning and the wedding itself. It was perfect! I highly recommend The Union Club for a warm wonderful wedding.

I recently had my wedding reception at The Union Club and I am so happy that I did! The entire building is so stunning on it's own and was perfect for my reception! This venue is truly a hidden gem within Cleveland and so many guests commented how they had never heard/been here before, but thought everything was beautiful! Nancy was amazing to work with. Always in constant communication with myself, something that I greatly appreciated! I was in such great hands with the entire staff and had zero worries throughout the entire planning process and the big day. The food was outstanding, best food hands down! Everyone mentioned that their food was delicious and same with the drinks! I had the best day of my life and the Union Club was there to make sure that happened. Such a great venue and recommend this space for any wedding!

I am SO HAPPY we chose the Union Club for our daughter’s August wedding. We held both the ceremony and reception at the club. The professionalism and experience of the sales and catering staff makes planning not only easy, but it gives you peace of mind that things will get done, and get done correctly. I never had to worry that something was getting overlooked. Our every question, no matter how trivial, was always answered promptly. This made planning that much simpler. The day went off without a hitch. Our guests LOVED the venue. The food was terrific and we received many accolades. I’d like to point some things out that people often overlook. It was a hot day, and threatening rain. I never had to be concerned with the weather. The air conditioning was good. I’ve been to venues where the air conditioning is insufficient. I loved having use of the library and piano during cocktail hour. I hired a jazz piano player for the hour. It’s a definite vibe. Also, the beverage manager went out of her way to make sure the couples signature drinks were a success. This, again, helped create a certain vibe. The only blip, and I’m not sure, it even was a blip, was the chandeliers in the ceremony room, flickered a couple times during the ceremony. When I said something to my sister, about it, she said, how else our her grandparents going to let her know they are here! I then loved that the lights flickered.

Second, having amenities on site as far as rooms for set up, hotel rooms for family/guests, and having separate areas for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception/dinner made everything easier to plan. Third, the catering was delicious. Our tasting with them was perfect, and the execution on our wedding night was flawless. Everyone got their food in a timely manner, the presentation was enticing, and the food itself was worthy of a MIchelin starred restaurant. Lastly, Nancy was professional and dedicated to helping out with any and all planning needs that we had. She helped answer questions, worked with our vendors to coordinate planning, and helped make our special day as smooth as possible. She went out of her way to get us drinks and hors d'oeuvres after the ceremony when we were taking photos, and helped organize our gifts and cards for us so we didn't have to worry. Highly recommend the Union Club and Nancy Zaroogian for your wedding needs, they did an awesome job!

The Union Club was top notch in everything. We loved working with Nancy from the start! She is helpful, organized and knowledgeable. We knew the Union Club was our dream venue the second we walked in and met Nancy. Every inch of the Club is sophisticated gorgeous with the Grand Staircase, cocktail rooms and ballroom. The entire staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. We also had our rehearsal dinner at the Union Club in the main dining room as well. I will also say that the food is unbelievable. All of our guests were raving about the food and even impressed one of our guests who caters high end parties in NYC. The ballroom is elegant and a very intimate setting. I would recommend the Union Club 100%. Elegant and pristine venue, top notch food and staff. Thank you Nancy, the Union club staff and the Union Club for making our wedding a fairytale wedding and our rehearsal dinner a night to remember!

We had both the ceremony and reception in different spaces there and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Nancy and her team were incredible to work with (including being completely accommodating and patient through 2 postponements). The food was amazing, the coordination of the logistics were seamless, and the Club’s hospitality to us and our guests was truly top notch. If you do not want to stress at all about your wedding, the Union Club is the place to do it!

We LOVE the Union Club and Nancy Zaroogian, the catering sales manager, who made our \"re-planning\" wedding process so amazing and enjoyable! Our wedding was rescheduled from August 2020 to February 13, 2021. We moved our reception to the Union Club for our new wedding date and it was the best decision we could have made! From the moment we walked through looking for a new venue, we knew it was going to be The Union Club. Even during covid uncertainty, this venue went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was special and memorable. This venue was truly unforgettable from the beautiful exterior and interior, to the amazing team of staff they had working that night, to the delicious food and wine. Our food tasting beforehand is still one of our favorite days! We owe our perfect wedding day to this venue. We can't thank Nancy from The Union Club enough for helping us create such a special day, and for being there that night to make sure it ran smoothly. We felt so comfortable and welcomed at The Union Club throughout this whole process. We received countless comments that night as well as afterwards in which our guests were raving about how beautiful The Union Club was. The building is incredible, the service is amazing & our reception was the most beautiful reception I have ever been to and not saying that because it was my wedding, it really was. I am so grateful to have made the decision to have our reception at the union club.

First this is the second wedding my husband and I have enjoyed at the Union Club, our younger daughter was married here 4 years ago. We had such a wonderful experience then that when my other daughter wanted to be married at the Union Club we were very comfortable with the decision. Nancy Zaroogian is a wonderful person to work with, always returning calls, makes suggestions as needed and asked, She truly makes everything run smoothly! My daughter was married in the wedge wood room which was absolutely beautiful and photographed wonderfully! The building itself is gorgeous and historic . We had an opportunity to book rooms on the 4th floor which was so convenient especially when your guests include grandparents who may want to relax between events during the day or evening. The staff of the union club are excellent our guests were well cared for and the food was delicious . Thank you if I had another child I would certainly return!!!

The venue itself was stunning, we held our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner and reception all at The Union Club and it was like a scene out of Downtown Abbey. Our guests are still raving about how gorgeous the venue was and how elegant and special the evening was. Nancy made the process turn key and worked beautifully with our vendors. The food and wine was outstanding, the best I've ever had at a special event (we had beef tenderloin, lobster tail and stuffed chicken as entrees and I heard rave reviews about all three). This is hands-down, without question, the best wedding venue in Cleveland. I cannot sufficiently emphasize in this brief review how absolutely perfect everything was for our big day. The Union Club itself is one of the most beautiful buildings in Ohio - a real hidden gem in Cleveland. The building is regal, is sure to impress your guests, and is a wonderful setting for some great photos. In our opinion, though, it is The Union Club's staff that truly makes the place great. The Club staff were all professional, courteous, and attentive to us and our guests and took care of every need. Cocktail hour included butler-passed hors d'oeuvres, and staff ensured each guest got to try each option. Dinner service was proper and well-timed - every meal came out hot. The food was nothing short of amazing - unsurprising as the kitchen is directed by a certified master chef. Our guests were extremely complimentary - nobody had a single complaint about their meals. Every dietary restriction was heeded - even our vegan guests were super happy with their meals. Every special request we had was honored. Everything we asked for was accomplished. Many guests commented to us that this was the best wedding reception they had ever been to - we feel we owe much of that to the diligence and professionalism of the Club's amazing staff.A true rockstar among the Club's staff is Nancy Zaroogian, the Club's wedding/event coordinator. She was responsive, accommodating, courteous, and extremely helpful throughout the whole year-plus that we were planning our wedding. She was an amazing resource and we feel we could not have had such an incredible day without her assistance. She offered insight and suggestions that aided in our planning, and honored all of our requests. Between the beautiful Club itself, the amazing food, the wonderful staff and service, the excellent bar, and the fantastic Nancy Zaroogian...The Union Club is the finest wedding venue we could have asked for, was money very well spent, and we wouldn't recommend any other place to host your big day!

Our wedding at the Union Club was incredible, and I cannot find words adequate to express just how wonderful Nancy Zaroogian and her staff are.From the very beginning, Nancy was organized, responsive and incredibly knowledgable about not only the venue but wedding planning in general. I did not have a planner, and Nancy patiently answered every question and offered guidance when needed. I work in events, and Nancy is hands down the best venue contact I have ever worked with. If I lived in Cleveland I would try to plan every event with her at the UC!Everything about the Union Club itself was fantastic. From the servers to the receptionist to the maintenance staff, every single person we encountered was kind, attentive and dedicated. They made us feel incredibly special while allowing us to not worry about a single thing.The Union Club’s wedding packages are inclusive, conducive to stress-free planning, and worth every single penny. The food and service are incredible, and they were flexible and open to reasonable adjustments without adding upcharges for every single request. I cannot stress enough how wonderful the experience was and how pleased we were with our wedding. We are still receiving compliments months later. I'm so sad it's over! The Union Club is an absolutely magical wedding venue. They have top-notch service, facilities, and all of the above. Nancy is a delight to work with and is so helpful. She is friendly, informative, honest, and amazing. My husband and I were very involved with every step of the planning process and as a result had an abundance of questions at all times (particularly him...) which Nancy always answered thoroughly and with kindness. Nancy and The Union Club's staff go so far above any beyond, especially in special touches for the bride and groom.The food is top-notch and the chef is so talented. I have never had better food at a wedding (and so say our guests!) but probably because other wedding venues don't have such a top-of-the-line chef. Because it is a private club, the Union Club functions as a very high-end restaurant every day which sets it apart from many other venues. There are no caterers to bring in and no doubts about the quality of the food. I have nothing but praise for the Union Club and particularly their staff, and I am jealous of those of you who still have your magical day ahead of you at the Union Club!

We found this all and more with this venue. Compared to other downtown venues in Cleveland, the Union Club is unique in that we were the only wedding the entire weekend. Just form seeing pictures online, my husband and I knew that The Union Club would be a perfect venue for us. However, just to be sure, we checked out 10 different venues in the Cleveland area which just further confirmed that The Union Club was the best fit; nothing else even came close in comparison. On our big day, everything ran so smoothly! Nancy made sure that our vision came true that day. The entire reception was absolutely flawless! This was not a surprise, since Nancy was so quick to answer any questions or concerns we had throughout the entire planning process. In addition, the staff, including the servers and bartenders were so friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing, thanks to the Master Chef!!! Many of our guests commented that it was the best steak that they had ever tasted. We had over 200 guests and the food was served to perfection to each and every guest. Everything was served hot and delicious. We also had a cheese display which was above and beyond our expectations! The cheese selection was so unique and the display was absolutely beautiful! We could not have been happier with our decision with choosing The Union Club to host our special day!!

The lobster was amazing!! The filet was cooked to absolute perfection! I have never heard so many compliments before on food at a wedding. People were saying it was the best steak they have ever had. Better then the top steakhouses around town! Presentation was amazing. The appetizers were fantastic and the cheese display we had he knocked it out of the park! People were blown away by the taste, abundance and beauty of this display! Thank you so much chef you truly are a Master! I now can see the difference between a Master chef and chef!! Amazing. Nancy and her staff of employees were phenomenal! Nancy made sure that everything was perfect. She made the fairy tale come to life. She was kind and helpful whenever I had a question. From the moment we met Nancy Zaroogian, we knew we were in good hands. Her detailed professionalism combined with the stunning beauty of the Union Club made my daughter's wedding perfect. To say that Nancy went above and beyond is an understatement. While she was taking a much-needed vacation, the CDC recalled romaine lettuce, which we had planned to serve at the reception--and had already printed up menu cards saying so. Although she was in California, Nancy continued to communicate with us and the whole issue was flawlessly and gracefully resolved. The day of the wedding, the staff was extremely helpful to all of us. The day-of rooms we used were all beautiful. The ballroom was stunning. It was a memorable reception, and we are grateful to Nancy and her staff for working so hard to make everything perfect. The wedding coordinator, Nancy, made it a stress-free process for me, was always helpful with reminders, details, and SO quick to answer my very many emails. Cocktail hour on the main floor was also a great way for the guests to enjoy the atmosphere of the club. The chef was phenomenal - the plating and presentation of the food was very impressive. Truly, this place was extraordinary. Not only is the venue the most gorgeous historic building in the land, but the food is amazing, and the service team is a group of seasoned professional. But, probably the most important selling point of The Union Club is event coordinator Nancy. I can't imagine having gotten married without Nancy! She thought of everything, the flow was perfect, she was organized, communicative, easy to work with and a joy to be around. The Union Club Cleveland so greatly surpassed my expectations. We had our daughters wedding at the Union Club a week ago. Our daughter was married on the marble staircase with cocktails & the reception following. The guests had so many good things to say. A week later & we are still receiving emails, texts & phone calls about how great it was.The Union Club is rich in elegance & history. The staff from the valet to the servers were impressive in taking care of us & our guests. But the best is Nancy Zaroogian the events manager, from the first tour to the day of the wedding Nancy took care of everything. She was prompt, informative & very professional whenever we emailed or called. The day of the Wedding she guided us through the timeline with ease.The food prepared by their chef was amazing. Our wedding day was flawless. Honestly, everything ran on schedule with Nancy Zaroogian and Katie Foulds from Kirkbrides coordinating it. Nancy made sure I was comfortable and was truly sincere in making sure that I was happy with how the day was moving along. The food was excellent, still receiving compliments. They know how to prepare food for large guest counts. No reports of cold food, the presentations were all beautiful. The service staff was excellent. I was married on the gorgeous marble staircase. Guests said the ceremony was breathtaking. We had a few children who didn't want to sit, so they were able to stand above the staircase and view the ceremony. This was also excellent for guests who don't like to sit. Its a venue that can accommodate all guests. We had a live musician playing and the acoustics were perfect. Even if you had recorded music I think it would be wonderful. We used the library and a room next to the library for the after ceremony portion for guests to mingle, have cocktails and appetizers. Again raves about the food. The guests and my husband and I were able to move freely between both with no problem. We again had a live musician and the sound was perfect. The library was so beautiful we did not need any extra decorations except votives around the seating card table. This helped with the budget. The ballroom was stunning. Even without the decorations the woodwork is gorgeous on its own. The chairs are new and perfect for all types of decor. I didn't have to rent chairs which again allowed me to use money other places. The dance floor was perfect size. There is enough room outside of the ballroom for children and guests to step away from the noise and there is a nice couch for them. Ladies, they have a gorgeous mirror on the ballroom floor that I can not wait to see the photos of. You feel regal looking at yourself in it. It was one of my favorite spots in the venue. There is a wonderful front desk staff who many of my guests spoke to about one need or another. All said, Sandra, was wonderful. I spoke with her at the end of the night and she was truly genuine. Parking is not an issue. I initially was concerned but they handled it beautifully with the valet. No complaints from anyone. It was very efficient. There are rooms on the 4th floor for brides, their wedding party and family to use. This was excellent as it provided a space for children (with adult supervision) who needed to relax and watch TV while parents were downstairs enjoying the wedding. In all this is a beautiful venue and I don't think anyone would be disappointed with choosing it. Nancy and her staff know how to seamlessly coordinate weddings and events. I only had 5 months to plan my wedding, and to me that was impressive to not have a single worry or misstep on the day of the wedding.

We searched for wedding venues in the Cleveland area last fall for quite a while, then walked into The Union Club. I was in awe! the wood and stonework is incredible! Steeped in tradition, it's roots go back to the Industrial Age of the 1800's. Nancy is great to work with and always had everything under control. The menu is large and flexible, but be sure to include a Filet. Many of our guests said it was the best they'd ever had! All of the other meals got great reviews, as well. The hotel staff members were very accommodating. The bartenders were definitely the best ever: any time they saw me or my bride, they'd be over with a fresh drink so we could keep mingling. We had a blast and our guests absolutely gushed about it!

Words can't begin to describe how magical our wedding day was. Professionally, I manage large projects and a wedding is a LARGE project. I couldn't have chosen a better partner than the Union Club. Their accommodations, professionalism, punctuality and can-do attitude made working with each member of the staff such a great experience. I felt all my questions were answered promptly and with professionalism. This is the perfect location for a traditional , elegant wedding. The food was superb, the location did not need much decoration as the stateliness was felt in each space. The day of was a seamless operations and while the staff was ever-present, they were in the background in a good way. The value to the the cost was a great value. We are truly so thankful for the venue and got so many compliments on the \"feel\" and \"orderliness\" of our wedding. We cannot say thank you enough for making our wedding so magical.

Their accommodations, professionalism, punctuality and can-do attitude made working with each member of the staff such a great experience. I felt all my questions were answered promptly and with professionalism. This is the perfect location for a traditional , elegant wedding. The food was superb, the location did not need much decoration as the stateliness was felt in each space. The day of was a seamless operations and while the staff was ever-present, they were in the background in a good way. The value to the the cost was a great value. We are truly so thankful for the venue and got so many compliments on the \"feel\" and \"orderliness\" of our wedding. We cannot say thank you enough for making our wedding so magical.

Nancy and her team at The Union Club exceeded all expectations. I honestly could not have imagined a better wedding experience. Not only was Nancy extremely professional and easy to work with, she was ALWAYS available to answer questions and quell any concerns. Menu tasting and the final walk-through were two of my favorite parts of planning - we had such a great time and felt so welcomed by the staff. We couldn't be happier with our daughter's wedding experience, The Union Club venue and the help we received from Nancy Zaroogian! It was truly a magical weekend....starting with our weekend rental of The Union Club's fourth floor sleeping rooms for the bride and all of her bridesmaids. It was so fun that we could all be together after the rehearsal dinner and wake up the next morning to our make-up and hair artists and photographers. The photos that you can capture both pre-wedding and post-wedding at The Union Club are unbelievable (both inside and outside). Our photographers (Marc and Tony) were amazing. They really know how to capture the love and beauty of a wedding day! We had cocktails and appetizers on the first floor of The Union Club, which ended up being fabulous (Bar/Grill Room/Library Room)...very traditional, yet unique, venues that all wove together with our quartet's music piped into all three adjoining rooms! After the cocktail reception we adjourned to the formal reception, which was held in the breathtaking 3rd floor ballroom. We had 235 people attend...it was a little tight on the dance floor, but certainly doable! The atmosphere was gorgeous thanks to The Union Club's set-up and attention to every detail. They also allowed us to bring in our own pastries/cookies/candies for a dessert bar, in addition to the wedding cake. We had that beautifully displayed out in the hallway/entrance to the ballroom along with the bar, high-tops, coffee station, guest registry and favor tables. It all looked beautiful! Our florist was Blooms by Plantscaping and they did an exquisite job and our DJ was from The Cleveland Music Group. Our DJ was fantastic; I would definitely use him again! The food was fabulous, too! The Union Club was a dream. It was exactly what I wanted - vintage glam. So many compliments on the beauty of the space from our guests. We had a blast renting out the guest rooms to have a big sleepover the night before and wake up and get ready the next morning. The staff was so attentive. They were accommodating with our signature drinks, bringing in outside desserts, and having a alcoholic favor, which I know some venues aren't. My daughter and son-in-law had an idea of what they had in mind for their wedding venue, and once we visited The Union Club we all knew that we had found the perfect spot! Without a doubt, The Union Club is the most elegant and enchanting wedding venue in the Cleveland area. Nancy Zaroogian, the catering manager, is fabulous! She is professional, kind, caring and definitely knows her stuff! She was always available to answer questions, and guide us in the right direction. The entire staff at the Union Club including Nancy, Linda (the beverage manager), the front desk, housekeeping, etc. were the most professional and courteous people I have ever worked with! Every room in The Union Club is just gorgeous! From the carpet to the tall windows, the exquisite wood work, fireplaces, the grand staircase, the decor- absolutely gorgeous! The service and food was top notch. The food was delicious, and the presentation was perfect. Attention was given to our vegetarian and vegan guests to be certain that their food was as appealing as the main dinner option. The staff serving the dining room was in tune with all the guests needs, and seemed to anticipate needs. In fact, my dinner was covered to remain warm while I spoke to guests several times, without me even asking. The Union Club supplied a room for the bridal party to get ready the day of, provided full size mirrors, high chairs for make-up, a table and chairs for lunch, again, without me having to ask. I would highly recommend The Union Club for its elegance, charm, excellent quality food and service. The Union Club and the staff truly made the day magical!

They were professional, kind, courteous and continuously went out of their way to be sure everything was the way we wanted it. The cocktail hour and reception exceeded my expectations. Every room in the Union Club is exquisite and the ballroom offers gorgeous woodwork, a dramatic high ceiling, chandeliers, large windows with beautiful draperies and a spacious dance floor. When I walked into the reception that evening the room looked magical. The service and food was top notch. My guests raved about everything! The food was not only delicious, but beautifully plated and the staff was accommodating to specialty desserts we had brought in. The fact the club was exclusively reserved for our event was also very important to me. My family and extended family stayed at the Union Club using their guest rooms. It felt like our home for the weekend. The comfortable seating and tables in the wide hallway on the guest room floor offered plenty of room to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The Union Club supplied a room for the bridal party to get ready the day of which was perfect. This was an amazing experience from start to finish. The Union Club is a stunningly beautiful venue, and I loved the feeling of having the whole place to ourselves for our wedding day. We were originally thinking of having the ceremony at a different location, but once we stepped inside, we knew we would want our ceremony at the Union Club as well. The building is rich in history, and will still be stunning even if you choose to opt for minimal decor and flowers. We loved the service, food, ambiance and experience in general. The best part, however, was Nancy. She really took the time to make everything special and stress-free. Nancy ensured every detail was well thought out. We were so impressed by the service, venue and experience, that we decided to become members ourselves. Thank you for making our day so special!

The Union Club exceeded all my expectations for my wedding day. From start to finish Nancy Zaroogian and her team were so great to work with. Everyone was very quick to respond and helped ensure that everything ran smoothly from the time we booked until the day of our wedding. On our wedding day they made everything so easy for us. They coordinated everything with each vendor and made sure everything was perfect. They even thought of all the little things - like putting together a plate of appetizers for my husband and i knowing that we'd be pulled in every direction talking to people during cocktail hour. . They had that at the head table for us before dinner was served. They pulled us aside during cocktail hour and asked if we wanted to see the ballroom all set, which was just amazing to see it privately before all the festivities began in there. The bar tender paid close attention and knew what my husband and i were drinking and had our drink ready any time we got close to the bar. These little things were so nice and we felt so well taken care of. The venue is just spectacular, the food was delicious, and everyone was so courteous, helpful, and polite. If I were doing it all again I wouldn't change a thing. It was just the best day and I give lots of credit to the Union Club and their staff!

I am not normally a \"review\" person, though I truly feel compelled to share my experience. As a Union Club member, I know how special the Club is. However, I've never held a large, personal event there. This past weekend we held my daughter's wedding reception at the Union Club and it was truly magical. As the mother of the bride you hope for (expect??) perfection, though plan for coming as close as possible. I'd say that our experience with the Union Club was as close to perfection as I ever hoped for. Nancy was truly amazing in helping to organize and plan and guide through the process. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the food was fantastic (so many guests told us so!) - but it's the overall experience that blends together to make everything so wonderful. From the valet staff helping to bring in carts of \"stuff\" to our overnight rooms that probably looked as though we were moving in for a month, to the housekeeping staff welcoming us to our rooms and being so kind and accommodating, to the front desk and maintenance teams coming together to save the day by super-gluing the maid of honor's heel back on as cocktail hour ended and she was preparing for her toast... it was all such a memorable time. Yes, the Union Club is a beautiful place, the food is wonderful, the attention to detail unmatched; though that only begins to tell the story. For us, it was the fact that the staff there seemed to care just as much as we did about having everything as perfect as possible - that made the experience as magical as it was.

From the valet staff helping to bring in carts of \"stuff\" to our overnight rooms that probably looked as though we were moving in for a month, to the housekeeping staff welcoming us to our rooms and being so kind and accommodating, to the front desk and maintenance teams coming together to save the day by super-gluing the maid of honor's heel back on as cocktail hour ended and she was preparing for her toast... it was all such a memorable time. Yes, the Union Club is a beautiful place, the food is wonderful, the attention to detail unmatched; though that only begins to tell the story. For us, it was the fact that the staff there seemed to care just as much as we did about having everything as perfect as possible - that made the experience as magical as it was.

We got married at The Union Club on December 3, 2016 and it was absolutely incredible!! Working with Nancy was an absolute pleasure, she did everything she could to accommodate us in every way possible. She worked very nicely with my wedding planner and together they brought my vision to life in ways I could have never have dreamt.Nancy went above and beyond and even went to the store to buy a certain brand of dressing to have on hand for our late night snacks bar (who can eat pizza with out ranch dressing?!). The club was absolutely stunning, the staff professional, and the bar tenders were so nice. Our guests continue to tell us it was by far the best wedding they have ever been to and that the venue itself was stunning.We highly recommend!

Working with Nancy was an absolute pleasure, she did everything she could to accommodate us in every way possible. She worked very nicely with my wedding planner and together they brought my vision to life in ways I could have never have dreamt.Nancy went above and beyond and even went to the store to buy a certain brand of dressing to have on hand for our late night snacks bar (who can eat pizza with out ranch dressing?!). We are still on cloud nine after our daughter's beautiful wedding last weekend...it was spectacular! My brother Ric (a wedding planner who did all of our flowers), had recommended that we have our daughter's wedding at The Union Club and we could not have been happier...it was everything she wanted and more! Nancy, the catering manager, was wonderful to work with...thank you so much Nancy! She was very professional, very accommodating, very helpful anytime we called, and most importantly, she made any of our concerns a top priority! Her goal was to make us happy and our daughter's wedding reception perfect, and it was, in fact our daughter Melissa wanted to do it all over again this weekend...that says a lot! I have been called by many this past week and also received texts about how wonderful everything was, how delicious the food was and how beautiful The Union Club was which made us feel great and very happy we chose to have the reception there. Our youngest daughter who's 27 was so impressed with The Union Club that she did not want to leave...she told us she wanted to live there! Our guess is she will want to have her wedding there too someday. It was a night we will never forget!!!

The only thing I regret is that you only have one wedding – because if I could do it all over again I would spend every weekend at Union Club!!! I’m a native of Cleveland but currently my husband and I reside in Fort Myers, Florida. I had heard about the Union Club because my parents had attended a wedding there last summer and were blown away by the venue. We got engaged last November 2015 and I made immediate contact with Nancy Zaroogian at Union Club. Nancy was extremely understanding, happy to take my calls and flexible until we nailed down the date for our wedding.I had made an appointment with her to come take a tour during Christmas. Upon arriving to Union Club I was amazed at how beautiful, old, and grand the building was. After Nancy gave us the tour of the first floor, Ballroom and guest rooms we sat down to discuss the event. She reviewed with us the typical timeline of the wedding day/night, food and beverage packages, use of day rooms, etc. I think one of the nicest things about Union Club is that what you see is what you get – meaning that when you are looking at a price for food and for beverage it is an out the door price with no additional charges added on top of it. During our tasting session in July everything was plated beautifully and our hardest decision was having to pick what entrée we didn’t serve. We even had multiple GF and Vegetarians guests at our reception and Nancy accommodated them no problem. Day of arrived and we spent all day there getting ready which was so nice! As the ceremony ended it was back to the Union Club to take more pictures and get ready to receive our guests for Cocktail Hour. At 6pm our guests started to arrive and they were greeted by the large wood table and massive arrangement with their place cards for dinner. Brad, myself and our parents were in front of the marble, candlelit staircase to welcome all of our guests. One of the things I did not realize we had was that Nancy has two staff members that were assigned to Brad and I throughout the night. So as soon as we were done with the receiving line they had a couple of plates of hord’s for us to eat so we could enjoy our cocktail hour too – what a nice touch!! Brad and I were held back as our guests entered the Ballroom and we were introduced shortly after 7pm. After our Cake Cutting and First dance we were escorted to our exquisite King’s table to have our salad served. Dinner was next it was so good! Nancy and team have this down to a science – the service was tremendous during dinner! After the cake was cut we had a dessert table to the back of the ballroom with coffee, cake and our assortment of dessert trays. Nancy continually was checking in on Brad and I to make sure we were fine and had what we needed. To show how important details are to Nancy – she even arranged to get me a 6 pack of Great Lakes Christmas Ale. As you can tell, I literally have only positive things to say about Union Club. If you want every detail to be perfect and flawless – this is the place to have your wedding reception. There were no headaches, no drama, no surprises and Nancy and her team are the consummate professionals. As I am sitting here back in Florida exactly one week after our wedding Brad and I are still on a high from the day. We can’t thank Nancy enough for her help over the last year! We hope at some point in our lives that we will be able to go back to Union Club to reminisce about our incredible day!

As soon as I stepped into The Union Club, I knew I had found the wedding venue of my dreams. This historic building is truly a Cleveland gem! From the beautiful, timeless interior detail, high ceilings, classic wood, multilevel layout, grand marble staircase and gorgeous ballroom, this is the perfect place to have an evening you will remember forever! The Union Club is the complete package and once I shared it with my fiancé and our parents, they feel in love with it too. We were beyond thrilled to have found such an impeccable venue complete with the following: the entire building was reserved for our wedding and guests only, prime location of downtown Cleveland in the heart of Playhouse Square, overnight rooms available, in-house catering with top quality food menu options, exceptional chef and catering staff, three 1st floor rooms for cocktail hour, a large enough ballroom to comfortably fit our 185 guests, complimentary valet parking and an overall excellent layout. As my Dad said, \"The value at The Union Club is hard to match anywhere else!\".Meeting Nancy, the catering manager, was an absolute pleasure. Her friendly, energetic and professional demeanor was appreciated throughout our entire wedding planning process! I selected the Union Club as my wedding reception venue because it represented every facet of a formal classic wedding. From the rich mahogany wood to the timeless crown molding, I knew the Union Club would be the perfect reception venue for a formal dinner and dancing. Working with the staff at the Union Club was a treat itself! Nancy Z, event coordinator, is caring, organized and supportive among other amazing qualities! She truly made us feel at home from the first time we walked through the doors. At the Union Club everything is done in-house- food, linens, glassware, chairs etc, they provide it all! I'd have to say the most fun part of our wedding planning process was the night our families had the food tasting. Nancy and beverage manager Linda were so fun we ended up staying an extra hour laughing and having more wine. At the end of the planning process we felt as though Nancy was part of our family. The day of the wedding the Union Club provided excellent accommodations for the bridal party to get ready, catered snacks/drinks for the in-between time, and had the entire room set up the night before! Union Club serving staff were so attentive. The bridal party's drinks were always filled and a designated staff member took care of our table the whole night! Since we did a receiving line my parents were unable to have any appetizers, so the serving staff saved a plate for them and had it at their table when they sat down. Every detail was so unique and pleasant that the night was truly a dream. I felt pampered and so did our guests. People are still telling us it was the greatest reception they had ever been to!

Our experience at the Union Club was a 100/100! We are not members of the Union Club, however it came highly recommended from a coworker who sponsored us, and it did not disappoint. The whole process was extremely professional including the venue selection, the tasting, the rehearsal, and the actual ceremony and reception. I felt the service and atmosphere of the Union Club was a great balance of being upscale, but not a pretentious feel that I get at some of the other clubs in the Cleveland area. Nancy Zaroogian, the Catering Sales Manager, was our contact at the Union Club and was phenomenal helping us the entire way answering all of our questions as they arose. The actual venue during the wedding was beautiful. The inside of the building is so nice it doesn't need many flowers or decorations to really impress your guests. We had a few neighbors who had been to over 100 weddings who said it was the nicest wedding venue they had even seen. We also received many compliments from our friends about how professional the bartenders were and the level of service they provided during the event. The food was fantastic – no comparison to any standard banquet hall or catering service. We had a few guests who are strict vegetarians, so the chef prepared a vegetarian lasagna for them which they loved.We ended up having our entire night at the Union Club – our ceremony on its marble staircase, our cocktail hour in its library, and our reception in its main dining room. The Union Club also has the option to have the ceremony in one of their other rooms on site or off site as well. Although we had hopes of being married outside, it was extremely relieving to have the whole evening inside, especially about a week before the wedding when the weather report called for 90% chance of thunderstorms Saturday night. Our guests stayed at the Playhouse Square Wyndhamm across the street, and while the hotel was not anything special, it was very convenient to have the ceremony, reception, and hotel all basically in the same location. My 79 year old grandma had no issues returning to the hotel at midnight, our friends in their 20s enjoyed being downtown after the event to continue the celebration, and we were happy to get them off our tab without having to worry about continuing to entertain our guests!Overall, the experience of having our wedding at the Union Club was perfect. Looking back, there was not one thing that went wrong or that we would have changed. It was a great combination of class, beauty, location, food and service, all at an extremely fair price. This might sound like a glowing review, which it is, but having used The Knot to help finalize our decision, I felt it was needed to share with others the terrific experience we had at the Union Club.

Our experience at the Union Club was a 100/100! We are not members of the Union Club, however it came highly recommended from a coworker who sponsored us, and it did not disappoint. The whole process was extremely professional including the venue selection, the tasting, the rehearsal, and the actual ceremony and reception. I felt the service and atmosphere of the Union Club was a great balance of being upscale, but not a pretentious feel that I get at some of the other clubs in the Cleveland area. Nancy Zaroogian, the Catering Sales Manager, was our contact at the Union Club and was phenomenal helping us the entire way answering all of our questions as they arose. The actual venue during the wedding was beautiful. The inside of the building is so nice it doesn't need many flowers or decorations to really impress your guests. We had a few neighbors who had been to over 100 weddings who said it was the nicest wedding venue they had even seen. We also received many compliments from our friends about how professional the bartenders were and the level of service they provided during the event. The food was fantastic – no comparison to any standard banquet hall or catering service. We had a few guests who are strict vegetarians, so the chef prepared a vegetarian lasagna for them which they loved.We ended up having our entire night at the Union Club – our ceremony on its marble staircase, our cocktail hour in its library, and our reception in its main dining room. The Union Club also has the option to have the ceremony in one of their other rooms on site or off site as well. Although we had hopes of being married outside, it was extremely relieving to have the whole evening inside, especially about a week before the wedding when the weather report called for 90% chance of thunderstorms Saturday night. Nancy Zaroogian, the event coordinator, was super helpful and always responded quickly to emails and phone calls. All downtown venues are pricey, however after researching several venues, the Union Club is the most reasonable and all inclusive in their pricing. There is no hidden costs, what you see when you walk in is what you get, cake cutting, dance floor, audio equipment, etc. I could not have asked for a better venue, staff, or overall experience. This place made my day one I will always cherish!

With over half our guests from out of town/country, several who had never been to Cleveland, our kids knew they wanted to be married in a uniquely Cleveland venue. With discerning taste - they loved the building's prime location in Play House Square, its rich history, classic architecture topped off with impeccable service and exquisite cuisine. The real \"game changer\" at the Union Club, however, is their gifted catering/sales manager - Nancy Zaroogian! She helped us with everything - from finding our perfect photographer to coordinating that all our vendors had everything they needed. The food is absolutely amazing as well as Nancy, the wedding coordinator and staff. Since we held the ceremony and reception there it was a little nerve wracking that they were able to turn the room during cocktail hour but it was done perfectly and looked beautiful. I would highly recommend the Union Club.

I can not say enough about my daughter's magical wedding hosted at the Union Club. Absolutely everything about the wedding was amazing! The Club was in full holiday decor creating such a beautiful and romantic tone for the evening. Not only is this a lovely venue - Nancy and her staff were wonderful to work with. So kind, helpful and paid particular attention to detail which I very much appreciated - especially as it got closer to the big day. The appetizers selected for the cocktail hour and the rooms used for this segment - outstanding! The reception itself could not have been more spectacular - such a memorable ambiance - wonderful meal and the lighted dance floor made for the perfect evening! \rI truly can not say enough wonderful things about this special place - but most importantly, have to compliment the staff on the service levels provided for the evening. Everyone was kind, welcoming and very focused on the wedding guests. The dinner service was impeccable with personable server, hot food and timely delivery. The bar service was the best I have ever seen - they not only recognized guests, but remembered what they were drinking - much appreciated. I have received so many compliments from family and friends - they have all requested a \"do-over\" - so you all may see us again. Absolutely amazing experience! Throughout the entire wedding planning process to after the wedding I have nothing but glowing things to say about the union club staff and Nancy. Nancy and team were extremely flexible, always open to questions and responded quickly to everything. \rThe weekend of the wedding we had guests staying at the union club as well as the bridal party all of whom had a wonderful experience. \rThe venue was gorgeous, the food phenomenal and the bar tenders great. \rWe had out ceremony in the first floor morning room, cocktail hour followed in the reading room and bar, and ended with the reception in the ballroom. Our guests continue to complement the food, the efficient and attentive staff and the great bar tenders. We never heard a single complaint from anyone! (Including our vocal aunts). To top off everything the light up dance floor was a HUGE hit amongst our guests.\rMy only regret is that we can't have our wedding again every weekend at the Union Club. \rWonderful experience! It's a must go to place and definitely has a wow factor every step of the way.

If you want a magical wedding then the Union Club is the best venue in the city of Cleveland to host your perfect day. My husband and I cannot say enough positive things about this venue and wish we could do it all over again. Nancy, the wedding coordinator, is a joy to work with. She is easy going, patient, friendly, and answered my millions of questions. A true delight to work with. The Union Club is gorgeous inside with three rooms to host your cocktail hour and a ballroom to dance the night away. I mean who would not want a dance floor that lights up and sparkles as you dance your first dance (the only one in Cleveland). Our guests ranted and raved about the beauty of the venue and how amazing the food was. One guest commented on how the Mahi Mahi melted in their mouth and the beef wellington was the hit appetizer. We even heard from our guests how friendly and attentive all the staff was at the Union Club. From the valet attendants to the front desk staff to the wait staff, everyone treated our guests as though they were the bride and groom. My husband’s family stayed in some of the guest rooms at the Club and loved the feel and close proximity to the ballroom (especially those with kids). They even provided a continental breakfast. The Union Club also provides you with a perfect setting for pictures. Why go anywhere else, when the club has a staircase to die for, a vintage feel, and many hidden treasures to take fun shots with (i.e. couches, telephone booth, a piano, bar, etc.) When Sunday rolled around and I looked around the Union Club, tears came to my eye because I did not want the wedding to be over. As a young girl, every bride dreams of her wedding, my day was everything I imagined and more and I have the Union Club to thank for my husband and my perfect day!

My husband and I had our ceremony + reception at the Union Club on 9/6/15. You don't need to go above and beyond on the flowers/decor here, as the building itself is so detailed and beautiful. We had so many compliments on the overall aesthetic.\r\rLastly...the FOOD. Incredible. We were blown away during our food tasting, but still unsure of how the food would taste when it's prepared in a large quantity. Well, it was just as amazing on our big day than the tasting day. 6 weeks later, we STILL have people talking about how good the food was.\r\rI couldn't be happier with our wedding day and a HUGE part of it was because of Nancy and the UC team. A wonderful location for a downtown venue! My daughter and her new husband held their wedding and reception at the Union Club. The Club is beautiful, classy, and full of old world charm and warmth. When we first viewed the Union Club for our wedding venue, we fell in love with it. The Union club is a historic venue in the heart of downtown Cleveland. It is beyond elegant and was the perfect venue for the classic wedding we had envisioned. We especially loved the marble staircase leading up to the ballroom, the cocktail rooms with historic paintings and high ceilings, and the dance floor which lit up during our first dance. Our entire experience at the Union Club was wonderful. Nancy Zaroogian, the catering sales manager, was such a pleasure for my family and I to work with. She was always so accommodating and professional. As an out of town bride, she really made an effort to answer all of my questions and put me at ease. She even sent me pictures of all the meals that my parents tasted since my husband and I were unable to make it to the tasting. During the wedding, Nancy was available and so helpful. She made sure both my husband and I were pleased with the evening. I felt that she went above and beyond for us. The service we received from the entire staff was wonderful. The food was excellent and we received numerous compliments on the meal and venue in general. Lastly, we loved that the Union Club was reserved exclusively for our wedding guests. We were able to use the rooms available for our bridal party and we also used a room as a babysitting room. It was very accommodating to our guests and their children. She was always so accommodating and professional. As an out of town bride, she really made an effort to answer all of my questions and put me at ease. She even sent me pictures of all the meals that my parents tasted since my husband and I were unable to make it to the tasting. During the wedding, Nancy was available and so helpful. She made sure both my husband and I were pleased with the evening. I felt that she went above and beyond for us. The service we received from the entire staff was wonderful. The food was excellent and we received numerous compliments on the meal and venue in general. Lastly, we loved that the Union Club was reserved exclusively for our wedding guests. We were able to use the rooms available for our bridal party and we also used a room as a babysitting room. It was very accommodating to our guests and their children. We had a wonderful experience at The Union Club. Our wedding was perfect and exactly how we envisioned it. I would highly recommend a wedding at The Union Club! Bridget B.

We had our wedding at The Union Club August 2015. We looked at quite a few venues but, the beauty and the elegance of The Union Club exceeded all other options. Not only is The Union Club a gorgeous building, it also bares a ton of American history. Nancy, at the club, is so easy to work with, she always made herself available and answered every question I had. She is great with the details and helped guide me through the whole process. Everything up to the wedding day was flawless and effortless. Come wedding day, it was even better. The level of service offered to all of our guests was incredible. The staff was so kind and attentive. My husband and I had the time of our lives, as did our guests. In fact, we were told by numerous people, it was the best wedding they had ever attended. We were elated with our choice.

When my wife and I first decided to go and see the Union Club we didn't know very much about it. Once we actually went and saw it, we knew that it was the perfect place for us. Everything went perfectly with the amazing help of the Union Club's wedding coordinator, Nancy. She was a God send! Every meeting we had with her was such a joy, and she really made us feel like our wedding day was so important. Everything was incredible! From the food, to the actual venue itself, to the amazing service staff who helped serve and cater our guests. If you really want to break from convention and have wedding venue that is both unique and beautiful, then the Union Club is perfect!\r\r

Our wedding was so incredibly amazing! Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Nancy did such an amazing job organizing everything and setting everything up. The food was delicious, the setting was gorgeous. It was absolutely perfect!

We just had our wedding at The Union Club this past summer. This is the most amazing location. Not only is the inside naturally beautiful but the people there are fantastic to work with. Nancy, who is the director of weddings, made planning so easy. She is very calm and always happy to help with anything. She was the \"day of\" planner and was at the event throughout the evening. She is amazing to work with. The food was also fantastic. All of our guests loved the appetizers and their entrees. I would suggest this venue 100% if it is within your budget.

The Union Club is a historic, elegant building from the marble staircase in the entry, furnishings and wood walls of the reading room where your wedding guests enjoy drinks and hor d'oeuvres, to the elegant dining room with its beautifully lit dance floor. The venue is old Cleveland at its best. The most important strength of The Union Club are its employees. Nancy Zaroogian, the Catering Sales Manager guided us in our decisions and addressed any concerns with warmth and professionalism via phone or email in person. Nancy treated our daughter, the bride-to-be and her fiancée with the utmost respect and listened to the ideas they had to make their wedding day special. The Beverage Manager, Linda Wenniger made excellent suggestions on wines during our food and wine tasting. The gentlemen who worked in the attached garage to valet our guests cars, to the dining room wait staff and bar staff, all were true proffessionals and provided superior service to our guests. The food was excellent quality, beautifully plated, served hot and all tables in the dining room were served in a timely manner. Throughout the evening, my husband and I were both approached by Nancy and other staff asking if everything was to our liking. The bride, groom, entire family and guests, enjoyed this day not only because of the beauty of the venue, but most importantly because of the quality and outstanding service provided by the entire staff of this wonderful club.
