Premier Event Setting
The Venue is located in the heart of downtown Asheville, North Carolina. Offering custom wedding and elopement packages, it is the ideal location to say “I do” for any couple. The Venue celebrates all love and welcomes LGBTQ+ couples. Our 13,000 square foot property features two distinct venue spaces, the Market + Mezzanine and the Second Level. The Venue assists with everything our couples need to create a unique and memorable wedding celebration! Our Market + Mezzanine venue space features seating for 200 guests reception style and can accommodate guests counts up to 350 with cocktail style seating. This space features two areas with exposed beams, original brickwork, an exquisite chandelier, and charming golden decor. Our average guest count for this space is between 120-185 guests. This space is accessible via wheelchair access lift. Our Second Level venue space is perfect for rehearsal dinners and intimate weddings! This space features seating for 120 guests reception style and up to 175 guests with cocktail style seating. A highlight for the property, the Second Level features an open-air balcony providing guests with city views. Similarly, to our Market + Mezzanine, this space flaunts original brickwork, exposed beams, and several petite chandeliers. Our average guest count for this space is between 50-90 guests. This space is accessible via a stair chair lift. At The Venue we take pride in our management team who are there to assist clients every step of the way! All staff, bar, and catering needs are provided by The Venue for our couples with the exception of wedding cakes. Our culinary team exceeds client expectations by offering an extensive menu selection as well as availability for custom menus. While we do not permit any outside alcohol at The Venue, we can customize clients’ bar experiences based on preferences. Basic equipment such as tables, chairs, standard linens, and centerpieces are provided by The Venue. We also offer a large digital catalog of upgrade items for our clients to choose from to make their wedding vision a reality!

I absolutely love this venue! I had my rehearsal dinner and welcome party on the second level and it was just perfect! Kendall was always so responsive and made the planning process through The Venue so easy for me. I actually got married at The Ridge which is another one of their properties and also used The Planning which is also their planning service. I could not have asked for a better team from the planning to both venues to make my wedding weekend the BEST! Food, cocktails and service was 100%.

I absolutely love this venue! I had my rehearsal dinner and welcome party on the second level and it was just perfect! Kendall was always so responsive and made the planning process through The Venue so easy for me. I actually got married at The Ridge which is another one of their properties and also used The Planning which is also their planning service. I could not have asked for a better team from the planning to both venues to make my wedding weekend the BEST! Food, cocktails and service was 100%.

We hosted our son’s and his fiancé’s rehearsal dinner at the Venue’s upstairs site. Everything was spectacular! Kendall was very timely and helpful with suggestions and with meeting our accommodations. The dinner was beautifully presented and was delish! I would highly recommend this venue , the whole experience was wonderful!

My experience at The Venue was absolutely incredible! From the planning process to the wedding night, we couldn't have picked a better venue. Kendall, the coordinator, was amazing to work with and remained responsive throughout the entire process. The food was delicious, and the location is perfect for a destination wedding in Asheville. I highly recommend The Venue to anyone looking for an amazing wedding experience.

Wow, I cannot say enough good things about The Venue. Deandra, Paige, and entire staff really made the entire experience so much easier than I was anticipating.These were some of mine and my now husband’s favorite things about the venue:-The food: This was on my husbands “ most important” list, and he has a pretty high standards since he was in the culinary industry himself. Months later, we still have guest talking to us about how delicious the food was!!-The staff: As a self proclaimed perfectionist, I actually relaxed and enjoyed our wedding day. Everything executed perfectly by The Venue.-The location: Seriously, this could not be more perfect. Right in the heart of downtown Asheville.There are so many things we enjoyed about our wedding at The Venue. It would be hard to list in one review. We don’t currently live in Asheville (and didn’t at the time of our wedding) but still recommend The Venue all the time!!So thankful we chose The Venue for our special day!

Everything from the planning process to the day of our rehearsal dinner went flawlessly! The staff all the way down to the bartenders were some of the most genuine and kind people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. The food was actually incredible, we opted for the BBQ and Mac & cheese station which was so elegant and delicious! Deandra and Paige, it was an absolutely dream to work with you both. My entire family thanks you and appreciates the time and effort it took to have everything come together. The best venue and experience we could ever hoped for!

The facilities are beautiful but what really makes the reception is the service and people managing the event. There were numerous issues that affected the event but I just name a few. The cocktail hour lasted an hour and 45 minutes so dinner started 45 minutes late. Wedding planner never asked us if it was ok. This impacted the entire event as it did not leave enough time to do everything the bride and groom had requested, especially with the DJ. Once we sat down the wedding planner was serving food! It was obvious the venue did not have enough staff even though we were charged for a specific amount of staff. Owner is non-responsive and does not seem to care. There were many other issues so I will just say review your contract carefully and buyer beware.

The Venue was THE perfect venue for my husband and I to get married in. Our ceremony and reception was on the second floor, with 90 guests fitting perfectly. I cannot say enough about how DAMN GOOD the food was - our guests still talk about the pork tenderloin and mini cheesecakes. Paige was so kind, patient and attentive throughout our entire process and answered all 300 of my questions. The night-of staff were also amazing, big shout out to them as well. Quaint, rustic and romantic feel. We highly, highly recommend The Venue!

Our wedding at The Venue was everything we dreamed it would be! The space is so unique and beautiful and was exactly what we wanted for our big day. I can't say enough good things about Paige and Nicole, they were absolutely amazing! We booked the Venue a significant period of time out from our date and there were some staff changes along the way, but Paige was our constant the whole time. She was so responsive, answered a million questions and went over all the details with me. Paige went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect and the event was exactly what we wanted! Nicole with The Planning was assigned to us later in the process but once we got going with her she was on top of everything and I really enjoyed working together. She made sure all of the details of the day were right and double checked anything there might be a question about.The event itself was perfect. We have had some many compliments on how beautiful the wedding was to how absolutely delicious all the food was (our guests are still talking about the food days later). We would definitely recommend The Venue and would love to have another event there in the future!

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Venue. I could go on about its stylish and fun atmosphere and great food, but what I think is so much more valuable to say is that the staff truly make this spot incredible. Deandra, Nicole (from The Planning), Marta, and the rest of their team are truly the best. They have a great sense of humor, which made the planning process fun and full of laughs. When my wife and I felt overwhelmed with the number of details, Deandra’s calming presence helped us feel at ease as she organized the night into manageable to-dos. The staff welcomed my wife bringing a bunch of her own DIY decorations; they were fully invested in helping us make our own vision come to life. We quickly realized that working with The Venue felt more like planning a spectacular night with hyper-competent friends than any kind of formal process. In writing this review, I really don’t feel like I can do justice to communicate how the unique contributions by the staff at The Venue helped create the best weekend of our lives in a way we would not have had if we had worked with anyone else. They are wonderful.

We held our son's rehearsal dinner here and it was absolutely fabulous. Deandra was most helpful and communicated well with us (which was great because we live in Louisiana). The food was delicious and the setting was magical. Everyone continues to rave over the entire night.

Jameson and I got engaged last October and we weren’t really sure where we wanted to get married. We played with the mountain idea and talked about Tennessee and it didn’t feel right. Asheville has been apart of our story. While we dated long distance we visited Asheville twice and both times were beyond extraordinary and we knew that was the city we would celebrate the union of us. We were really hoping for October, because duh and in December we decided to set up some venue visits. We had our first visit at The Venue with three other locations scheduled. We walked in and instantly we both were like, “is this real life? It’s BEAUTIFUL.” We met with the owner, Marta who showed us the space but most importantly we loved how passionate she was about creating magical moments for her clients. We were already sold on the location, but Marta is the real reason we fell so in love with it. We ventured into our next appointment with a date of October 9th open and we weren’t nearly as impressed but we felt we had to do our due diligence. Marta called us and let us know she had another showing after us and they were interested in the same date, realistically it comes down to who is faster to pull the trigger. We never stumbled through credit cards so quickly. From our initial meet to the day of the wedding everything was so incredibly organized, thorough and the experience could not have been better if they tried. The food was AMAZING, the staff was incredible, friendly and I loved how much they loved their job, that is such a huge reflection of the organization as a whole. We worked closely with Nicole and Deandra and those two beautiful women are ROCKSTARS, you guys! I am thoroughly so incredibly happy and impressed with how smoothly this has been and how perfect the evening was. If you’re looking for a spot in Asheville, there really is no other place than The Venue!

Our wedding was the most amazing day of our lives and that was fully due to the expertise of The Ridge, The Venue, and The Planning's (RVP's) amazing team. We are SO thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Marta, Darian, Kay, Deandra, Amanda and Nicole throughout our planning process and extending into the actual event. I can’t speak highly enough about RVP – their professionalism was impeccable and kept me, as the bride, calm, confident, and organized while also being very efficient.We made a full wedding weekend out of our event in August 2021. Starting on Friday we had a Chinese Tea Ceremony out on “The Knoll” which is THE most beautiful site. Following that we hosted our Welcome Party at “The Chateau” (which is also part of The Ridge). Our guests were blown away with the event orchestration and the simple elegance and undeniable beauty of The Ridge.The following day we held our wedding and reception at The Venue. While getting ready my bridesmaids and I utilized “The Loft” – which was particularly charming with warm sunlight pouring in the windows.Throughout our weekend, our bridal party was chartered around by the RVP Sprinter van. This wound up being perfect and ensured everyone was where they needed to be at the right time. For our actual wedding we utilized the entire space available at \"The Venue\". We started out by having our ceremony on the Second Floor, guests were then led downstairs for a cocktail hour on the first floor \"Market and Mezzanine level\" and then finally into the the reception in the back. I loved the way this was done as each room was a bit different and served as a little surprise for everyone! Our reception was catered by The Venue and our guests were blown away with the quality of food and service... Chef prepared a delicious meal with very satisfactory serving sizes (I was extra critical of this as I've been left hungry and unimpressed with the meals at other weddings I've attended!). As a whole, everything was orchestrated with precision and I was beyond thrilled with my wedding both during the weekend and in retrospect!As for the individuals involved: Nicole was the most amazing planner throughout the process – she tolerated my questions and any last minute changes like a champ! She was always warm, welcoming, and helped to make it the best day ever! Darian, Kay, Deandra, and Amanda were equally wonderful and were able to put together the wedding of my dreams while accommodating and helping me put together exactly what I was envisioning.I recommend The Ridge, The Venue and The Planning with every ounce of my being! They were wonderful - my husband and I are so fortunate to have been able to experience our dream wedding weekend!

The Venue made sure our daughter's wedding reception was beautiful with delicious food and drink. The staff was extremely attentive and \"can do\" when requests were made. The space lends itself to a lovely antique French country feel especially in the evening. I can't say enough wonderful things about this venue and everyone who works there! I am a recent bride who had my wedding reception at The Venue, and everything about our day was perfect. The space is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the people who help you throughout the planning process are so responsive every step of the way. Additionally, the food is delicious, which is not always a given at weddings. I cannot recommend enough renting The Venue for your next event!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this venue and everyone who works there! I am a recent bride who had my wedding reception at The Venue, and everything about our day was perfect. The space is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the people who help you throughout the planning process are so responsive every step of the way. Additionally, the food is delicious, which is not always a given at weddings. I cannot recommend enough renting The Venue for your next event!

I will try not to use the word perfect over and over in this review, but it was! Amanda answered every email & call promptly. She was patience, understanding, & her guidance helped make each decision an easy one. Everyone commented on the delicious food and the professional staff. One comment, “The best food I have ever had at a rehearsal dinner.” The perfect location for a welcome party - the decor, the balcony with a bar, and the food & staff. We were extremely happy with the evening.

Amanda, Marta and the entire Venue team absolutely blew our wedding out of the water!! Long story short, we had to postpone our original wedding plan back in March 2020, originally scheduled for May, then completely change everything for our new wedding date in October 2020 because of the pandemic. Roughly two months before the new date in October, we found out we could no longer have our ceremony at the church we had planned for, since COVID was still very much a thing, and because of that, we decided to shift having both our wedding ceremony and reception in downtown Asheville to having both events in the Lake Junaluska area (about 30 minutes away). We scaled down our guest list, chose a new ceremony location (The Chapel at Lake Junaluska) and also moved our reception to an outdoor / backyard event. We asked The Venue if they would still cater, organize and run our event, and they stepped up to the challenge and delivered something beyond our expectations! (Side note, Chef Mike is a genius and people cannot stop talking about the food at our wedding!) But in all seriousness, 2020 brought about a lot of struggles and planning a wedding during a pandemic (and then a hurricane that decided to make a last minute appearance) was LESS than ideal, but it is because of vendors like The Venue who came together and helped us come up with a new plan and adjust to last minute changes that made our weekend so incredibly special! We so appreciate Amanda, Marta and the entire Venue staff for helping to plan and execute a perfect day! 10/10 recommend :)

All these months later we are still in total bliss as we reminisce about THE most fabulous wedding ever (The Ridge) and reception that followed at The Venue! Magical! Unforgettable! Working with Marta, Deandra, Cloie, Darien and Chef was a pleasure!We had been told by former clients that they were the best that is but nothing prepared us for what was to come! From the first meeting with Marta, we knew we were in expert hands and our search was over! Her 'dream team' respected our ideas and wishes while making certain we did not overtook a thing!In fact, you could ask them to create an perfect wedding/ reception and walk away knowing the end result will be spectacular! We will never forget walking up the stairs that night! The beauty of that candlelit room was breathtaking! The tables were perfectly set and the food was amazing... perfectly prepared, every bite scrumptious! We were bursting with pride all evening at the constant compliments from our guests....what a wonderful gift to offer people who take time out of their lives to attend, with many traveling from long distances. The food, the music, the ambience of The Venue (fire tables on the balcony!!!!) along with a room filled with love and laughter created exactly what we dreamed of for our daughter and her groom!!! NO ONE wanted the night to end! So here we are, months later, wishing for a do- over...an anniversary celebration maybe?! I can't thank the team at the Venue enough for creating the most beautiful and incredible day of my life. We had our wedding reception in the upstairs space with approximately 110 guests. To put it simply, the Venue has it figured out-- they know how to take your unique vision, diligently attend to the details, and professionally and seamlessly orchestrate an awesome event. Their staff is exceptional and the event space is stunning. And the FOOD! Holy smokes, you won't be disappointed. The selection is incredible but almost impossible to choose your favorite because everything is so good. You can taste the quality and love that goes into that food for sure. Planning our wedding at a distance was not an easy feat, but Deandra made the entire process absolutely amazing from start to finish. From my first in-person meeting followed by countless emails, up until the night before the wedding, I had total faith that we were in good hands. I'm not one of those brides who had the wedding already planned out so I needed a bit of guidance, but she was so patient with me, kept me organized, had great recommendations for out-of-town guests, and made great suggestions to personalize our night. I had so many compliments from our guests but I have to give full credit to the Deandra and Jillian for making it happen because I could never have imagined it being as amazing as it was. The staff is so genuine and make you feel like family-- with full hugs and sharing in the joy and excitement through the process. I can honestly say Deandra and Jillian made wedding planning as easy as possible and enjoyable (I know, I said it!)-- I'm so grateful for the whole experience. I only wish I could have the opportunity to plan another party there soon.

The staff is so genuine and make you feel like family-- with full hugs and sharing in the joy and excitement through the process. I can honestly say Deandra and Jillian made wedding planning as easy as possible and enjoyable (I know, I said it!)-- I'm so grateful for the whole experience. I only wish I could have the opportunity to plan another party there soon.

My husband and I couldn’t have picked a better venue or people to work with for our wedding! We knew we wanted to have a destination wedding in Asheville, NC in the fall but weren’t exactly sure where. We loved the idea of an outdoor wedding in the mountains but didn’t want a reception in the same setting. That is where The Venue and their partner The Ridge made all of our dreams come true! We had a outdoor ceremony at the Ridge followed by a reception at the Venue. Marta made the entire process of deciding to have our wedding with them so easy! She is very reasonable and kind. She also let us know they offered planning services too which was incredible! Jillian our planner made the fear and stress of a destination wedding fade away and she made it all seem so easy! Everything The Ridge and The Venue does is so amazing. The food, drink, and ambiance is so exquisite. Both of the site managers Amanda (The Venue) and Darrien (The Ridge) were so great! Along with Jillian they honestly thought of everything! They do such an amazing job making sure the bride and groom have a great wedding day filled with little moments just to take it in. Everyone was always available for questions or just to check in! I had several odd requests and they bent over backwards to make sure they got them all right! The food is 100% gourmet and my guests did not stop raving about it all night! This is without a doubt because of the chef they have in house who hand crafts every meal. I couldn’t have asked for a better team they made sure I had no reason to stress on my wedding day! I can’t recommend them enough!

Everything was so easy, I truly had a stress-free wedding planning experience thanks to Amanda and Jillian and everyone else who was involved. The Venue is not only beautiful, but having most decor and all tables, linens, chairs, and food in-house made for the easiest planning experience EVER. I cannot recommend this Venue enough. My guests were raving about the food and atmosphere all night. I wish I could do it all over again beginning from the proposal! Two words that pop into mind when looking back at my wedding experience at the Venue and Ridge: PERFECTION AND OUTSTANDING. They helped us pick the perfect vendors and always kept are wedding planning experience positive. Our wedding coordinator at the Venue, Amy, was an absolute dream to work with. She handled all of our questions, our vendors, our last minute details, our phone calls, and everything you could ever think of. She was prepared for anything and I never once worried about something going wrong (even when our wedding had lined up with Hurricane Florence). Amy and the team at the Venue and Ridge made my dream wedding come true. From the beginning planning, to the heavenly food, to the creating of back up plans B, C, and D because of the hurricane this team made my wedding the best day of my life. All I can really say is that the spaces at the Venue and Ridge gave my husband and I the perfect backdrop for our celebration, but the team of people at are what really set the Venue apart.

We can't thank Amanda and the entire team at the Venue enough for our incredible wedding day. The Venue is absolutely beautiful and the team knows how to seamlessly pull together an amazing event. We loved that it's right downtown, which gave our guests the freedom to explore and enjoy Asheville between our ceremony and the reception. We planned the wedding long distance from Brooklyn, but Amanda made it so easy - Amanda was so responsive and answered all of our questions thoroughly - and she was also patient when we weren't quite as fast to respond as she was. :) It alleviated a lot of stress to not have to worry about providing our own decorations and candles and trust the team to make it look spectacular. Amanda was incredibly thoughtful and made sure to check in with us throughout the reception (she had drinks waiting for us and even brought some of the late night biscuits to us on the dance floor and packed up some of the desserts for us to take with us that night too).Also - I'm not sure if my parents had more fun at the wedding or the tasting - definitely do the tasting if you can. Chef is amazing and has such a passion for the food and local ingredients. Exactly one month and one day ago my fiancé and I had our wedding ceremony at The Ridge followed by our reception at The Venue. If we could do it all over again - the planning, e-mails, phone calls, the visits to Asheville, then of course the actual day of the ceremony and reception...we wouldn't change A THING. We cannot thank the team at The Venue enough. From day one, Marta, Deandra, Jillian, Darien, and Chloe made us feel completely comfortable and that whatever it took to make use feel stress-free and at ease, they would take care of. Planning a wedding from a distance (we live in Charleston) can be stressful, but the team at The Venue went above and BEYOND to take care of all of our needs, wants, and wildest dreams. Their level of professionalism is outstanding - from the early days of planning to the execution of the events, they never once failed to accommodate. I also felt like I became friends with the planners, as they were so welcoming and easy to talk to, and reassured me constantly that everything would be beautiful - and it was. The space is incredible, and they nailed our vision in every way. The FOOD...AMAZING. All of our guests commented about how delicious the food was, and couldn't get enough. Our friends and family also couldn't believe how smoothly everything ran considering the change of venues (The Ridge to The Venue). This proves that their entire team works incredibly together to ensure that every moment of your (our) special day runs seamlessly. I am someone who can easily become stressed out, and the day of my wedding, I didn't worry one bit - I knew I was in good hands at all times. We can't thank the team enough for the time and effort they put into making this truly, the best day ever. To be honest...I miss them all! I would recommend them now and forever. Also, totally do the mashed potato station:)

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Venue in May and from day one we knew we made a great choice! Throughout the year long planning process, Marta, Amanda, Amy and many others went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. Amanda is a dream come true. She was always quick to answer any questions that we had and did an amazing job of keeping us on track. We could feel the love and enthusiasm they pour into each of their events each time we connected with them. The day-of was absolutely perfect! Not only is the space simply gorgeous but the team is so accommodating. They were attentive to all of our needs (me, my husband, multiple family members) before things got kicked off and then during the celebration, they were ever present making sure guests had what they needed and were well taken care of. The food is DELICIOUS! My husband is a chef, so we had high standards going in, and their chef, kitchen staff and wait staff were beyond what we thought was possible for a wedding. So many guests have complimented the food and desserts they did for us. The Venue’s team made our day so perfect. We couldn’t have pulled it off so successfully if they were not such a professional, caring, talented and amazing team. Thank you all for everything you did for us!

We held our son’s rehearsal dinner at The Venue in Asheville on November 17, 2017 and we are from out of town. We knew nothing about Asheville, but our experience with The Venue was exceptional. From my first interview with Deandra of the Venue staff to the end of the evening, I had help all along the way and every question was answered by email right away. We used their tablecloths and table accessories which were beautiful. I did order some cocktail napkins and koozies for the bar. The waiters and waitresses were plentiful and so hospitable. They got us anything we needed. Their service was excellent. The food was delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly as were the vegetable medley and potatoes. Also, the amounts were perfect. The candles all lit all over the room made for an inviting space for the dinner and for friends to gather afterwards. Deandra helped so much with the food and amounts, and any leftovers we brought to the hotel room for later. This was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had in entertaining any number of people. My son and his fiancé thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening as did other “ young people” as well as our friends from out of town. I would highly recommend The Venue for any event!

We had our reception at the The Venue and couldn't have imagined a more perfect place! The space itself is gorgeous, with all the decorations and candles already in place, it made my job as the bride so easy as I didn't have to worry about any decorations. The food was phenomenal, our guests are still raving about it 2 weeks later. The thing that truly made this whole wedding come together is the amazing staff at The Venue. Not only do the anticipate your needs before you even realize you need it but they are always willing to help and made sure my wedding day was perfect from start to finish. The added bonus is that the location is downtown Asheville so our guests could walk to their hotels after the reception! We had our ceremony at their sister property The Ridge which was breathtaking and gave us incredible views. Looking back on our wedding, I can honestly say there wasn't 1 thing we would have changed. As the Mother of the Bride, I was a bit nervous about helping to plan an out-of-town wedding, but The Venue in Asheville turned out to be a perfect location for a beautiful and fun evening reception. Deandra, Marta and Chef Joel were accommodating and creative during our planning process, and communications were always easy, even with the Bride, Groom and parents in 3 different time zones. No matter what questions we had, Deandra offered thoughtful solutions: special touches for decor, lovely linens, a variety of table setup options, suggestions to maximize the space for a large dance floor, plenty of room and lovely setup for 2,000+ homemade Italian cookies, personalized wine & beer choices...so many important details handled with care!We were all overwhelmed with joy when we arrived, because the cocktail and reception rooms were truly elegant, with every little detail turning out just as we had imagined. The service staff did an amazing job for our large and gregarious group; the cocktail and appetizer service was excellent and dinners for 200 people were served in record time. And oh, that dinner! Our guests are still commenting on the splendid meals; whether they chose filet mignon, salmon, chicken or risotto, every person loved their main course and deliciously innovative sides, all served at the perfect temperature. Even our few special dietary requests were accommodated easily. We certainly treasure every memory of our daughter's spectacular wedding day, and we are superbly grateful to Deandra, Marta, Chef Joel and the staff at The Venue for their partnership in making our Bride & Groom's wedding visions become reality. I work in Chicago doing wedding planning/catering sales myself and I must say, I had very high expectations due to my experiences here. My expectations were not only met, but they were surpassed! I was blown away but not only the venue itself, but the service and food that came with it! My family comes from all of the United States and have traveled the world, and we heard nothing but positive feedback on the food and service. You can really tell that the owners and staff really put their heart and soul into making sure you have the best experience possible. I would go back in a heartbeat! I highly recommend this venue and experience as a whole to anyone not only getting married, but also for anniversary celebrations, birthday parties, any sort of celebration really, it's the perfect getaway!

I cannot say enough positive things about the Venue. Our son had his wedding reception there a week ago (early September). The staff - starting with Deandra - was so easy to work with. It was a destination wedding so all of us were dealing with things from afar throughout the planning and Deandra could not have been any more responsive or helpful. The staff the evening of the event was awesome as well. The food was great and it was served very timely which is a definite challenge when you have 180 people at an event. The atmosphere was wonderful - we had cocktails on the street level and then dinner/dancing in the Mezzanine. All the feedback we got from invited guests was very positive.

The day after our wedding, we went on and on about how wonderful and how perfect our wedding was. It brings tears of joy to my eyes to think back! People always say there will be something that goes wrong, but as I look back I can't recall a single detail that was out of line. I cannot begin to express the gratitude we feel toward the Venue and their staff. The day of the wedding, everyone was so accommodating and did so with a huge smile on their face. However, being the bride, and doing most of the planning, I want to specifically call-out Paige and Amanda. These two girls are hands-down nothing short of rock star planners and master organizers! :) All the while smiling and just having fun through the process WITH you. You always talk about the actual wedding day, but you are planning this one day for months! My planning process with Paige and Amanda was stress-free, truly. They kept all of the details straight, kept a master plan, made sure I had recommendations for vendors if I asked, and made sure everything was in line. Because the planning process was so smooth, the actual day of our wedding, I was so relaxed, because I had full faith in in the Venue staff. Honestly, our wedding was the best day of my life and I have the Venue, their staff (Marta, Paige and Amanda), as well as our other vendors to thank. Amanda made sure everything went smoothly and ensured that all of our requests were fulfilled. Paige was beyond detail-oriented and helped us plan everything down to the tiny details. Tara and Maggie jumped in and helped with day-of details that we did not even think of before the day arrived – they were lifesavers! Honestly, it felt like we were all friends by the end of the weekend –everyone exceeded our expectations. When the wedding day arrived, The Venue was absolutely gorgeous, and the staff worked together to create our dream wedding. We were surrounded by all of our loved ones in a beautiful space, and the staff worked tirelessly to be sure all guests had a wonderful time. We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception at The Venue and the whole experience was a great one! Customer service is their top priority and it makes the experience from the beginning to the end a pleasant, enjoyable, relaxing experience. The staff were courteous, fast to respond, knowledgeable and reliable. They were easy to contact and quick with answers/responses. On the day of the weekend of the event, they would not allow us to lift a finger so that we can enjoy every single moment. The planning team had lots of great ideas and working with them was a pleasure. The coordinators are extremely professional and made the day go exactly as I had hoped it would. I had nothing to stress over. All details were taken care of. I am still hearing compliments from my guests as to how impressed they were with the Venue and staff. The timing and how smooth everything went was absolutely flawless. We chose to have family style seating and it was going to take 20 minutes to serve all the guest and after our request just a few days before the wedding, Marta and her wonderful team were able to serve a 158 guest in 7.5 minutes. The food was amazing and our wedding guests are still talking about how great the food and service was the entire night. Amanda, Stephanie and Marta are wonderful. If you are planning to get married in Asheville, I would strongly recommend The Venue. You will not be disappointed.

Our experience at The Venue in Asheville was amazing! We held a Welcome to Asheville party there the night before our wedding. Our initial tour with Marta was unscheduled and last minute (on our end), and she was super accommodating and flexible with us. After that, all of our questions got answered right away by either Marta or Amanda. Then our last meeting with Amanda weeks before the event went so well. She was extremely thorough and helpful. They helped us throw the type of party we had envisioned and at no point did we feel pushed to spend extra money to do what we wanted. The staff at the event were all super friendly and treated our guests with respect. The food was some of the best food we've ever had in Asheville, and that says a lot about the chef because there is some great food in the city! The decorations they provided were beautiful, we barely had to add any extra. Overall, it was an outstanding experience and I would recommend The Venue in Asheville to anyone for your big event!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Venue and the whole experience was a great one! From the beginning, the staff were courteous and knowledgeable. They were easy to contact and quick with answers/responses. The planning team had lots of great ideas and working with them was a pleasure. On the day of the wedding, everything was set up as I had planned and the setting was gorgeous! The coordinators are extremely professional and made the day go exactly as I had hoped it would. I had nothing to stress over. All details were taken care of. I am still hearing compliments from my guests as to how impressed they were with the Venue and staff. I cannot forget to mention the food. AMAZING! Again, I am still getting compliments and my friends have even been inspired to recreate the dishes. I highly recommend The Venue if you are getting married in Asheville!

My experience at The Venue was nothing short of wonderful. Marta and Amanda did everything they could to help us reach our vision for our wedding and they were a dream to work with. We had a budget, but that didn't stop our wedding from being fabulous with their help! Marta really went above and beyond to help us cut costs so that we could have our dream reception at The Venue. For example, we chose a menu that was simple to match our budget, but the food was a huge hit and it was absolutely delicious! We did not even taste the food prior to our wedding day, but we were happily surprised that it was so delicious! Everyone kept talking about how wonderful the food was even though we chose a limited food selection with steak, salmon, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and bread. For alcohol consumption, it was suggested that we pay a certain dollar amount for wine and beer for our guests and after that was used, it would move to a cash bar. That was perfect because it only became a cash bar at the last call for alcohol and our guests had plenty to drink. Another touch I loved was that the staff gave me and my groom a moment to ourselves with champagne when we arrived at The Venue after our ceremony. It was a nice start to our reception! The Venue is truly such a beautiful location for a dream reception. There is almost no need for extra decor at The Venue because it is so beautiful and the staff makes sure to light all the candles for your event to give a romantic glow. My fiance and I planned our wedding and reception in 3 months, and with The Venue, we planned our dream reception in that amount of time! Thank you to the Venue, Marta, Amanda, and all of the staff for everything you did to make our wedding reception so perfect. My family and friends will not stop talking about it, and we love it!!!

The setting was absolutely stunning yet so warm and inviting. The chef prepared delicious appetizers, a wonderful fall dinner and the desserts were amazing. The staff who worked our event was incredible. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening!\rFrom the moment we spoke with Marta, she was so attentive and enthusiastic about making our evening perfect. Our son and his new bride celebrated their wedding reception at the Venue on 9/20/14. Jon and his entire staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating in every detail. We did three specialty craft cocktails during the cocktail hour and they were a huge hit! The food was as good as we have ever enjoyed at a wedding reception--truly outstanding. \rAnd in addition to all the above, the place is just flat- out beautiful! The cocktail reception and bar service was in the street-level area, with the dinner and dancing up a short set of stairs. This really provided a nice separation for those guests wanting to get away from the music for a bit to visit after dinner.

We had a destination wedding in Asheville and wanted a venue that could accommodate all of our guests for the rehearsal dinner/celebration. The venue made everything so easy to plan as they do it all in house. They have gorgeous decor, amazing food, tables, linens, AV equipment, bar etc. all built in. So easy to have everything all in one vendor especially when planning out of state. \rThe food was incredible! We worked with Jon to plan the menu and he offered great suggestions and tips to match our theme and budget. The staff was very willing to work with us regarding custom food requests that were not on their pre-fixe options. The biscuit station with sausage gravy was a HUGE hit as was the mac and cheese!\rWe were on the 2nd level with the balcony which was the perfect setting for our event. \rHighly recommend using The Venue for any function!

The venue made everything so easy to plan as they do it all in house. They have gorgeous decor, amazing food, tables, linens, AV equipment, bar etc. all built in. So easy to have everything all in one vendor especially when planning out of state. \rThe food was incredible! We worked with Jon to plan the menu and he offered great suggestions and tips to match our theme and budget. The staff was very willing to work with us regarding custom food requests that were not on their pre-fixe options. The biscuit station with sausage gravy was a HUGE hit as was the mac and cheese!\rWe were on the 2nd level with the balcony which was the perfect setting for our event. \rHighly recommend using The Venue for any function!

I cannot say enough about the Marta, Jon and Amanda and their staff at The Venue- Asheville. It was an amazing night and the reception was a culmination of months and months of planning and they did not disappoint! I had so many comments about how beautiful The Venue was and the professionalism of their staff. The cocktail area was separate from the eating and dancing area. It is gorgeously decorated with all the beautifully lit lanterns, candles and architectural exposed brick walls and beams. As soon as I arrived, the staff made sure we were given something to drink and our bags were put where we were to be seated. What parent of the bride and groom would not need that kind of service after a long, exhausting and emotional day? The eating area was unveiled once the bride and groom arrived.The planner, Amanda, took care of all the details and assisted the bride( my daughter) in bussling her gown immediately upon her arrival. Everything went like clockwork! We could not have asked for more. The bride and groom were seated and the tables were dismissed one at a time and served in the buffet line. The bride and groom actually got to eat! Imagine that? The food was out of this world! Jon worked with us to make sure the appetizers, food and beverages were exactly what the bride and groom wanted for their BIG day!\r The attention to detail and the planning for the BIG day was made so easy and effortless by Marta and Jon and their well-trained staff. You guys are a CLASS ACT! I highly recommend the services of the Venue- Asheville for all your catering, wedding or event needs! You are the BEST! HANDS DOWN! Thanks so much for making our daughter's wedding day such a wonderful and special occasion that will remain etched in our memory for many years to come! We had the most amazing wedding thanks to The Venue and their staff. Planning a wedding is such a stressful process, but Marta, Jon, and Amanda (coordinator) took extra efforts to make sure we were taken care of throughout the entire year and up until we left at the end of our event. The space is breathtaking (more beautiful than in pictures), and it provided the exact vibe we were hoping for - rustic, but modern, refined, but not stuffy. The food provided by chef Steve was amazing. We are still having guests mention how exciting and delicious the meal was. The price is not the cheapest you'll find, but it is totally worth it!

We began our search for a venue for our destination wedding in Asheville online, slimming down the choices to 5 options. The Venue was the first venue that we visited, and I knew that it was the right place for us when we began benchmarking the others by it - one had a beautiful ceremony space, but the reception space left much to be desired, one was very specific about the type of music that could be played (or rather not played), and one was nice, but didn't have enough chairs, enough space, etc, while Marta seemed open to any ideas we had, and has a beautiful, flexible space.\r\rMarta, Jon, Chef Steve, and the rest of the staff at The Venue made our dream a reality. They were easy to work with, had lots of ideas, and were open to our ideas. They thought of every detail, and are very accommodating. \r\rWe had quite a few special dietary needs (allergies, vegetarians, etc), and they were happy to offer alternatives to meet these needs. The food was not your typical wedding food, which was great. We heard from guests who typically don't like salmon, who said that they tried it, and it was great. Other friends enjoyed the fresh takes on appetizers, and our steak lovers told us the steaks were cooked to perfection - not overdone, not too rare, and just the right temperature and flavor. \r\rTheir suggestions on other vendors were great as well. We ended up choosing a photographer, florist, and baker from their list of suggested vendors, and were very happy with all three. And because they had worked together before, it seemed easier to coordinate. \r\rAs we sat reflecting on our wedding the next day, we commented on how much we enjoyed our day, and every detail that Marta, Jon, & Chef Steve helped with. Many people commented on how calm we were throughout the weekend, and my husband and I agree that it's because we had nothing to worry about - we knew that we'd chosen the right partner, and the right Venue, and that everything would work out.\r\rMany kudos to the entire staff of the Venue, not only Marta, Jon & Chef Steve, but everyone who worked on our wedding. We will have happy memories for years to come because of you!

My husband and I chose The Venue originally for its location and gorgeous look. It fit perfectly into the downtown wedding we wanted, and the decor offered the simple yet extreme elegance we were looking for. We soon discovered that the beauty of the space was only surpassed by the amazing staff. I coordinate events for a living, and know the stress that goes into executing the day-of an event. I didn't want to feel this on my wedding day. Jon and his staff made our wedding day perfect. They were supportive and responsive throughout planning, which was even more important to us as we were planning our wedding from four hours away. On our wedding day, everything was handled seamlessly. Food and drinks were waiting for us when we arrived; our few personal touches to the decor were displayed beautifully; and we were able to truly enjoy our guests and reception. I am so glad we chose to have our reception at The Venue. We couldn't have dreamed the day better than it was, and we know the wonderful staff of The Venue made it that way.

Meet the The Venue Team
Marta Santamaria (Owner) A native of Colombia, South America, Marta moved to the states over 20 years ago. Having acquired a background in Business and Hospitality Management, Martas dreams and determination for success gave her the foundation to attain the essential qualities of an entrepreneur. Marta started her business ventures by opening a restaurant in downtown Asheville with co-founder John Bodenhorst. Marta started her own endeavors with The Venue, The Venue Catering, The Planning, and finally The Ridge.
