We had a wonderful experience at Devils River! The venue is beautiful, we instantly fell in love as soon as we stepped inside. The chandeliers were a beautiful touch for our first dance. The venue setup flowed and our guests loved the outdoor patio as well.All of the staff made sure our wedding night was memorable and stress free! Communication was easy, Alyssa and Garret were checking in with us throughout the day/night. Garret was onsite throughout the night and he took care of everyone! He definitely was a rockstar. If I could give more stars, I would. We look forward going to Devils River on all of our anniversaries.

This venue was an absolute dream for my Christmas wedding. When planning we wanted something that was beautiful, central, and not a farmhouse or barn. Not only was this place the perfect venue for my now husband and I, but the employees were amazing. They made sure we had all of the details going into our wedding day and we're flexible with some of the \"quirky\" things we wanted to do at our wedding. Alyssa and Garrett made the day incredibly easy and I can't wait to recommend the venue to others. I can also see myself pushing my company to book it for our holiday party next year.... If you're looking for a smaller venue that is intimate and elegant and in reality doesn't need that much so extra decor (not with it boasting great decor and a beautiful chandelier), this is 100% the place for you.

This place is BEAUTIFUL. Forget boring hotel weddings or barns. This place is industrial yet elegant, with a huge chandelier, sexy lounge spaces, and gorgeous bars. Plus the whiskey is top notch! Book this!

I chose Devil's River Whiskey Distillery because of a myriad of reasons. One of the big ones was the aesthetics. It's absolutely gorgeous, but one of the best things about the venue is the many ways you can use the space and how they're helpful to your guests. We had our ceremony on the ground floor, our dinner in the speakeasy below the main floor, then we had our reception/dancing on the main floor again. There is an elevator for people who need it, and this worked amazingly. The space was beautiful and the staff did a WONDERFUL job, helping people know where to go, great service, and super attentive. The head bartender and manager, Garrett, along with the venue coordinator, Alyssa, were absolutely amazing. They were flexible, always quick to respond to me when I had questions, patient, and they truly bent over backwards to make our wedding beautiful. They worked well with vendors, had great communication skills, and were exceedingly kind and gracious to us and our family and friends.The benefit, space wise, of this venue is that if the party is going and you have friends and family who need a break, they can retreat back to the quiet of the speakeasy or go sit on the patio. My guests loved these spaces, especially my older relatives who didn't want to be near loud music. The DJ was situated on the floor above the dance floor, which was a blessing as it meant more space for the ceremony and reception below. The venue is truly beautiful, and if a couple wants a classic or even art deco/1920s themed wedding, it's good for that. The space is also great to dress up with whatever vibe the couple is going for. Once again, the main reason to use the venue here is the staff. They were very open, and Alyssa communicated with me well-over a year in advance and was never too busy too answer my questions throughout the year leading up to the wedding. They were super organized, went and above and beyond to clear spaces, help guests, and communicate with vendors. I'm so grateful and thankful for the staff at Devil's River! They went above and beyond, making sure I was as stress-free as possible on my wedding day. ALSO, it is a distillery and the whiskey they serve is VERY good! The whiskey cocktails they make were such a huge hit with the guests we had tons of wine leftover! We chose an Open Bar, which does cost more than a cash bar, but for us it was worth it. But they had different options that can help with a couple on a budget!

If you want a unique, edgy, classy, and stylish venue you can stop looking cause you just found it. As a bride who wanted something unique, moody, and wanted guests to be entertained throughout the wedding this place checked all those boxes. Every nook and cranny is filled with details, history, and has this moody vibe that everyone raved about. We were the last to get married out of our group and every married couple said they've never been to a wedding like it. From the ceremony, to cocktail, to reception, every space felt different and we were thrilled to see the floors and space transform. We were recently married at Devils River Distillery and we couldnât be happier with how everything turned out! First, Alyssa (Venue Coordinator) was ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING â she was easygoing and professional from the start, and made us and our whole wedding party feel very special. You couldnât ask for a better person to work with and anyone who has planned a wedding knows you have a LOT of contact with your venue prior to the event. All our expectations were met and then some. Second, the bartenders went above and beyond. They made sure everyone was taken care of throughout the evening and didn't leave me (bride) empty-handed! Their craft cocktails are phenomenal even for non whiskey drinkers - you wouldn't even know your cocktail had whiskey in it! The venue itself is beautiful and you don't really need to add much to it when it comes to decorating. Definitely a unique and special venue... our guests are still talking about it!

This venue was perfect. When you walk everyone will be in awe of its elegance and beauty. Itâs so different and unique. I was able to keep decorations to a minimum since the venue itself has this vibrant personality. Behind the beauty of this gem is Abby. She is the venue coordinator and she is so sweet, professional, and great at communicating and getting things done. She even offered a hand when I had a makeup mishap. Sheâs like a fairy godmother and a professional friend all in one. Adrian and Jonathan rocked the bar and kept everyone very happy. They made it feel like cheers with their hyped and positive energy. One of the high points was standing in the middle of the dance floor and looking around at all the happy faces. We all had so much fun. My best friend said she felt like a celebrity partying after the Oscars. If you want a jaw dropping and unique wedding, this is the place.

This venue was completely breathtaking and everyone was in awe of the old architecture and antique furniture. I recommend this place if your family is from out of town because hotels were just walking distance. You have made my wedding day a memorable one for sure. Cheers to you all!!

Such a beautiful place for a wedding. This is not your typical wedding spot and definitely stands out and is so different and elegant. Itâs so pretty not much decor is needed. Getting married during a pandemic restricted and limited our vision but thankfully the venue had just the right amount of space to make this special day possible for us. The staff was helpful and kind- Loretta and her team are always so professional.

Our guests enjoyed the vibe and had a great time ! we had a lot of out of town guests who stayed in hotels which were walking distance from the venue, It is in a great location downtown SA! I want to do it all over again !! đ„ thank you to the staff as well who were really engaged in making our big day happen!

My fiancé and I found this place through Loretta Ortiz from the The Oaks at Heavenly. Loretta and Mike took time from their weekend to let us tour the venue during construction. They showed us their vision and we were sold right away. We just toured the venue and it is almost finished. The place is STUNNING! We are so excited to have our reception here. It is prime location for downtown SA and close to the River Walk. Seriously, Loretta and Mike have been so flexible with us and have kept us up to date on the construction and their vision. It is going to fit our wedding perfectly.
