Jamie Delanuez(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-04-2019 We were married here April 2019, and not only is the location beautiful, but every single staff member was above and beyond amazing. From the owners, Yoshi and Nancy, personally congratulating us, to every white glove server somehow magically appearing without needing to be called – we didn’t want for a single thing on our wedding day! Huge praise and thanks to Patrick Kelly, the Event Manager, and Bruce Werntz, the Director of Catering and day-of coordinator. Patrick dealt with the planning stages (and every anxious “omg what about THIS” moment we had) with so much patience and ease while Bruce provided such above par service it was unbelievable - going so far as to take his own cufflinks off to give to my Dad after he realized his had been left at the hotel. There are no words available to speak highly enough about the team at Mount Fuji! Reviewed on 10-06-2019

may tsun(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-09-2018 The Views at Mt Fuji is a beautiful venue! We really loved the Japanese architecture and tasteful themed decor. The staff were friendly and did a great job in setting up and breaking down the event, directing the guests, and helping us throughout our ceremony and reception. Pat was a most warm and efficient manager to work with! He was responsive, knowledgeable, warm, friendly, and professional. He really knows each aspect of wedding planning and were also sensitive to our financial and social needs as we talked through different aspects of wedding planning. Even after the event, he continued to remain supportive and responsive as we had some questions following up. As far as I could tell, valet parking worked out conveniently and there was plenty of it for our 170-person wedding. Everyone was happy with the food and the presentation. The dance floor was fine for the size and the setup was good for nearly 20 large tables and a photo booth. We had to move the whole ceremony inside last minute because of rain, but kept the cocktail hour outside with a tent overhead. The staff were so efficient in getting this ready quickly and smoothly, it remained beautiful and the guests seemed comfortable as well. We didn't get to use the wedding arch affixed to the gazebo, but it would've been lovely too. The lockable bride and groom rooms were convenient to have on site, though for timing reasons, we got ready in a separate hotel room nearby. We rehearsed at the venue the evening before but opted to do rehearsal dinner elsewhere for variation. Pat was great in herding our large wedding party for an organized rehearsal. A few logistic notes, there is an operating restaurant downstairs that shares the bathroom with our event, so there were people coming and going on our floor, even though we otherwise have the entire floor to ourselves. Also, we didn't end up using the fog machine from our DJ because people thought there might be smoke/fire. Overall, I'm really happy that we used this venue and would highly recommend it for other couples. Reviewed on 27-11-2018
Jenny Arriaga(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-10-2018 My husband and I have gone every year since 2011 to have our dating anniversary dinner at the Mt. Fuji restaurant. It wasn't until 2016 (during our wedding planning time) that we realized there was a downstairs space that was dedicated for Sunday brunch and special events! We were very unaware of this, since we thought it was exclusively for dinner. Already in love with the service and of course the views, I quickly contacted the event coordinator. It was a no brainer to book The Views at. Mt. Fuji as our wedding venue. We booked through Bruce and ended up working hand in hand with Patrick Kelly. However, I was concerned about having a wedding underneath a restaurant but that was no issue at all! I did not even realize there were people dining on top of us. The food was delicious and if you want a taste just book a reservation for their Sunday brunch, you won't be disappointed! Prices vary depending on the selected package. Overall, there aren't enough words to express our gratitude towards Patrick. He went above and beyond in providing great service and making our wedding day extremely special. Highly recommend! Robie Ann Atienza-Jones(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-10-2018 Patrick (along with the rest of the staff) went out of his (their) way to make our day extra special. First, Patrick was patient with us in dealing with our communications via email/text since Almen and I now reside in California. When we were able to visit during the summer, Patrick cleared his schedule and made sure we all met in person, so that we can go over the wedding planning and see the place in person. Patrick was highly hospitable and really made us feel at home .... he made the wedding planning go smoothly as ever. On the day of our wedding, Patrick made sure everything was perfect - and it truly was!!!! He checked in on our wedding parties and guests to make sure we were having a great time. Patrick even made sure that when the main course was served, Almen and I were seated so our food wouldn't get cold. He even personally cut our cake while his staff distributed it to our guests. Also, he gave us an extra time to dance with our guests and I know (because we did) we enjoyed ourselves on the dance floor. Patrick went above and beyond in making sure we were all smiles that night. Patrick, from the bottom of our hearts, Almen and I sincerely appreciate and thank you for taking care of us the way you did on our special day. We are extremely happy in choosing Mt. Fuji for our reception as you delivered our vision a million times better than we could have ever imagined. Thank you for welcoming us with open arms and everything you have done for us. He is superb, with much experience in the industry, and we could not ask for a better contact to work with. Sierra Smidinger(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-09-2018 We booked The Views at Mt Fuji about 10 months prior to our wedding date. After meeting with other venue coordinators, we were thankful that we got to work with Patrick Kelly to plan and coordinate our event. He made the planning process a breeze, especially in helping us make decisions and providing input to help guide us in our decisions. His extensive experience with weddings, attention to detail, and emphasis on service gave us a great experience from start to finish! The day of the wedding went off seamlessly. After dropping all my decorations off earlier in the week, Patrick and the staff decorated the room and took care of all the details as I had requested and more. They knew that we didn't have any ceremony decorations of our own for the gazebo and they kept the beautiful flowers up from the wedding they hosted on the day prior. We got to use the newly remodeled lounge for our cocktail hour, which was a fantastic space. The views really are worth it! We had a dancing crowd, so a large dance floor was important to us and they delivered. Our guests raved about the food and continue to tell us it was one of the best weddings they have been too. We were so happy to have come across this venue in our search and were continuously impressed by Patrick and the service, the views and atmosphere of the venue, and value we received. The BEST PART is during the celebration where not only was he helping us execute the step by step itinerary while we are all having a great time, he also choreographed some of the scenes. Not only did he supervise the wonderful staff, he also helped out in serving us and our guests with our needs. I have dealt with many Directors of Catering in the past and all of them stood by the sideline and just supervised the staff. Not Bruce. He was bringing drinks to everyone and cleaning up tables. Anonymous (groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-06-2015 It's in your best interest to take a moment to read this.On June 13th I was informed by my Bride To Be that it was very important that our Nuptials occur between 12:56 and 12:58 p.m.This is especially amusing because I told all 30 guests the ceremony was to start at 1:00 p.m. My wife is Chinese, I'm Scott-Irish American. It just so happens that lucky numbers play an important role in how your future unfolds, so much in fact, that if the timing of our wedding ceremony was going to be outside the specific times, we would have to wait till the next lucky day (in September). So Bruce (director of catering) sent out an e-mail to all of our guests, informing them of the change. The problem with that was I didn't give Bruce all of the E-mail addresses. O.K. here we go. Wedding day, I leave the Double Tree Hilton at 11:15 a.m. plenty of time to make sure everything runs smooth without any screw-UPS on my part.On my way up route 17 I was passed by 4 Mahwah cop cars going weather fast, then I saw it, a traffic jam from hell.So I put my car in never mind mode, just like I did on January 13th, 1982 on the 14th street bridge and flew past the crap. This time, I found myself with 3 miles of traffic between myself and my Bride and the clock is starting to run down.Bruce to the rescue. After spending an hour trying to get Li on the phone, we finally got contact just to find out she was stuck in the traffic jam.Bruce jumped in and talked to the driver of Li's car and talked her through the back roads to Mt. Fuji. The clock is running down fast. 1245 no sign of Li, 12:49, on her way.Bruce comes up with the thought this ain't gonna happen the way we signed up for. He decides to go down to the bridal suite and fetch my best man and the minister. At 12:55 they show up at valet parking, and so does my Bride. Thanks to the determination and experience of the director of catering and his incredible staff, Li and I got married in valet parking at 12:56 p.m. After that it was easy. The attention to details, the service, the great food and the fact that I have pal and not a caterer after all the suspense says a lot. Reviewed on 28-06-2015

I would highly recommend checking out this venue. Bruce was extremely helpful and tried to accommodate all of our requests. Food was amazing, especially the cocktail hour! My only feedback would be that many of the guests were not aware of the wonderful dessert stations that were available (including an ice cream sundae bar), so perhaps the band/DJ or wait staff could have informed them a few more times that it was available. Overall a great day and a wonderful event! We love The Views at Mt. Fuji! Thank you Bruce, Yoshi, and the wonderful wait staff for making our day so great! Reviewed on 08-07-2014

We really couldn't ask for more at a reasonable price.\r\rThe only flaw in our day was a microphone malfunction during the wedding ceremony, but that was the fault of our reverend, not the venue.\r\rAll in all, I give \"The Views\" a 9 out of 10. Kenia Alcantara(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-11-2013 \tA business is only as great as the people who represent it and the \"The Views at Mount Fuji\" deserves the highest ratings in our book. I am not the kind of person to usually write reviews but I will make an exception this time and take a moment to publicly thank Bruce, Director of Catering at The Views for his honesty and attentiveness. We did our research and visited many venues and somehow couldn't find the right fit for us, we were getting a bit frustrated, losing hope we thought we were going to have to settle. It wasn't until I thought of Mount Fuji, I had been at their restaurant in Hillburn NY a couple of times and have only wonderful things to say about their food and service and so I was only happy to find that they had a catering hall. By the time my now husband and I went for a meeting to see the venue I already had a positive image of them as a business and meeting Bruce only reassured my opinion of them. From the beginning we felt at ease and trusted that The Views was the place for us. Bruce, came across not as a salesman who just wanted us to book his venue but as an truthful man who cared deeply for his prospective client's needs and wants. In our case, he understood our uncertainty and lack of knowledge and our desire to personalize our wedding and make it unique to us. Bruce was very understanding when we told him we wanted to endeavor on designing and decorating for our wedding as much as possible. He smiled and agree to the best of his ability accommodate our needs. We were immediately sold!!! The views is the perfect venue for an event of this type, they have a variety on packages to satisfy everyone's needs and if the preset packages they offer don't work for the client, they are very flexible and willing modify these packages. \r In summary, the setting (panoramic views) is phenomenal, ambience cozy, the food is to die for and they have it in abundance, the staff very, very professional, they are very flexible, price is fair and Bruce as a person a wonderful and very respectful man. We got what we wanted from our venue thanks to Bruce and his team!!! \r The only thing to be concerned about is to make sure you know how to get there, the exit is a bit tricky and you might miss it and not all GPS units take the address.\r Reviewed on 27-10-2013

Karen I(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-09-2013 I had my wedding on September 7th, 2013. While we ultimately had a great time, there were some ups and downs. Overall, I'd give The Views 3.5 stars out of 5, but since half-stars aren't available in this interface, I'm rounding it up to 4.\r\rPros: The venue is beautiful. You're atop a mountain, looking down into a valley from a beautifully appointed room lined with windows. The ballroom was more than spacious enough to accommodate my ceremony in one part and my reception in another (we had about 85 guests). We really appreciated the cafe-style tables that were set up in the bar area so guests could get away from the music inside the ballroom for a few minutes. Since we had mobility-limited guests, the elevator access to the event was also highly appreciated.\r\rThe waitstaff were fantastic - friendly and eager to please. Special thanks go to bartender Becky, who dealt with perfect aplomb with mobs of slightly tipsy guests all wanting the fancy drink they saw someone else have a few minutes ago. We were blown away when we realized that waiters were taking drink orders and delivering them to guests at their tables, rather than making guests have to get up and wait in line. A waiter even custom-made people's ice cream sundaes at the ice cream bar, rather than people having to serve themselves! \r\rThe food was delicious (do yourself a favor and try the ginger salad dressing!), and there was more than enough of it to go around at our buffet dinner. My husband and I really appreciated being served a cocktail hour sampling alone in the bridal suite so we could catch our breath after the ceremony, and Bruce even thought to bring an apron for me to put over my dress so I didn't stain it while I ate!\r\rWe had planned to put together a candy bar for the end of the night as our wedding favors, and Bruce surprised us a few days before the wedding by hiring, at no cost to us, a specialty candy bar vendor to style and add to what we had for the table. It ended up gorgeous beyond words, and guests keep telling us, even a month later, how wonderful they thought it was.\r\rCons: Bruce, the catering manager, was difficult to get in touch with during our planning process - he would answer emailed questions with \"call me\" rather than an answer, but then we would be unable to get in touch with him by phone for hours, or even a day or two. When we did eventually speak to him, he would be friendly and helpful, but rushed. We got the impression that we were low on his priority list.\r\rThe price we ended up paying for our event and extras was ok given the value we got, but not fantastic. Quoted numbers had a habit of inching higher between quote and contract, and we found ourselves wishing we had done a better job nailing down exactly what everything cost right off the bat.\r\rThere is no climate control available in the bridal suites. They were extremely warm, but we were told there was nothing anyone could do to cool them down; for whatever reason, they couldn't air condition them adequately. The ballroom itself was much more comfortable, however.\r\rAll-in-all, the night of our wedding went beautifully and we and our guests had a great time, but we felt that the service we received during the planning process was lacking in some ways. We would have appreciated a clearer pricing/quote system and a more responsive event contact. Everyone who served or attended to us at the wedding, however, was amazing, as was the food and drink that they served. Reviewed on 03-10-2013

Raquel Spinelli(parent)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-05-2012 We used to live in the area and held our daughter's sweet 16 there in 2002, a grand success still referred to as 'legendary' by our guests, arranged by event coordinator at the time, Jack who not only created something that had not yet been seen (today there are all kinds of reality shows for over the top sweet 16s, but not then), but he made my job easier during a very difficult time, post 9/11. For this reason, we went back for our daughter's wedding, held on 5/5/12. Different events coordinator, and it made all the difference in our experience, and not for the better. We were now planning this event via long distance, and I needed very professional, responsive vendors to get through the planning process smoothly despite the distance. Bruce was the only one who did not fully cooperate, creating additional work and stress for me. Ultimately, the guests were none the wiser, raving about every detail, and I never expected anything less, but I credit my other wonderful vendors, the B&G, and myself for that. For example, a big sticking point we had right up to the day before the wedding was the fact that we had table names instead of numbers. I had told him this plan months before, and as time got closer and I was giving him email updates about meeting the various deadlines for everything, including that the tables had been arranged and named, I still got no response. Two weeks before the wedding, we met for the finalizations, and it was then that he told me that it would be 'easier for him and his staff to seat our guests if we glued number stickers' to my handcrafted table namecards. I insisted on the namecards as they were, since there were only 8 tables total, I didn't believe it would be that difficult, and with all the other snags we were having by that point, I needed to establish that we were the clients and not the other way around. When we arrived the day before the wedding, we actually found his table numbers on our tables instead! At that point we took over and made all the changes ourselves disregarding his annoyance at our early presence when he arrived an hour later. The day of the wedding, despite our seat chart that was cross checked with our guest list with table assignments, there were still 2 table with 4 too many chairs on each. And there were several other issues as well. He kept forgetting this was a Marriage Celebration, not a wedding, since the kids had gotten married the year before - right up until the day of our reception when he tried to put them in separate 'boy/girl' rooms during the cocktail hour LOL! We had to insist that the cookies advertised for the venetian hour be provided when he stated they would not be setting them out. He should have sent me an updated menu so that we didn't have to redo the entire thing at our final meet because I had made all the selections based on an old menu. He never sent me all my floor plan choices for an 8 table set up, which also necessitating a last minute redo. Because of all the issues and things that had to be REdone on the spot at the final meet, that meeting took almost 3 hours, on a day we'd travelled the distance from where we live to hold final meets with all of our vendors. If you want a traditional or standardized event with all the decisions made for you, I'm sure everything will run fairly smoothly. However, if you have anything remotely offbeat, creative, unique, or different planned, or you just have your own ideas, think twice. Reviewed on 09-05-2012
