Angelie and her team made it easy to plan our August wedding at the Virginian. It was a great location for our older guests and not too hot, given the time of year. The ballroom looked gorgeous when it was all said and done, and our friends had a blast. Highly recommend!

The Virginian was such a gorgeous venue, and my husband and I love that we got to celebrate our reception there. The ballroom is a gorgeous room that provided both space and intimacy to visit with friends. The staff was wonderful to work with and very responsive to questions and concerns.

The Virginian Hotel was the perfect wedding venue for us - classy, timeless, and a gorgeous backdrop for our reception. From the moment that we dropped off our Welcome bags for our guests with The Virginian staff, I knew that I wouldn’t have to worry about the details of our wedding day coming together. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming to us and all of our guests. In selecting our wedding venue, we wanted our guests to have an amazing experience and have top-notch, professional service while they were our guests which The Virginian absolutely delivered on. I did not have to worry about any details during our reception and The Virginian packed up boxes of cocktail hour and reception food for my husband and I to fully enjoy in the days after our wedding. While I am from Lynchburg, most of our guests were traveling in from out of town for our wedding. It was also important for us to have a place where all of our guests could stay as well as enjoy the reception. The Virginian made quite an impression on our guests - offering a beautiful venue and great hospitality. We heard so many compliments from our guests about how elegant the hotel was and how much they loved touring around downtown Lynchburg. The Virginian Hotel will always hold a special place in our hearts and we look forward to visiting in the years to come.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The perfect venue space for a wedding. I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Virginian and it was beautiful . The Catering Sales Manager was a delight to work with. She made the process seamless for us and really made sure we could create exactly what we wanted for our special day. The food was a 10/10 ,the event staff did an amazing job as well and took really good care of guest. I didn't have to worry or overthink anything when it came to the venue space or food. Everything came together beautifully and a big part of that was thanks to the Virginian Hotel Staff

Our wedding was 2 weeks ago and I am still in a daze at how absolutely beautiful and amazing it was! The Virginian offered such an unbelievably gorgeous space in their ballroom and Eleanor Roosevelt Room for our reception as well as a perfect view of Lynchburg for sunset photos from the the rooftop bar. Angelie and everyone else at the Virginian was so helpful, accommodating and communicative throughout the entire planning process and on the day of. I cannot thank them all enough! I highly recommend this venue if you are looking to have your wedding in Lynchburg. The people are wonderful, the space is beautiful and there is nothing better than leaving your reception and only having to go upstairs haha!

I cannot begin to explain how magical my wedding day was at The Virginian. We had our ceremony and reception in the Grand Ballroom as well as a cocktail hour in the Rose Room. From beginning to end, the wedding day was fabulous. The family, the bridal party, the groom, and I were all treated like royalty through the duration of our stay. Our guests raved about the delicious food, the wonderful amenities, the ambience, and the helpful staff. Even after the wedding, they had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for the groom and me in the honeymoon suite. What is truly great about The Virginian is that it is an established venue with an all-in-one feel. You don't have to worry about the catering or the tables and chairs or where your guests will grab drinks after the wedding (rooftop bar!). It brought such peace of mind knowing all of the wedding day festivities were taking place under one roof with qualified staff just seconds away. The venue itself was beautiful and classic and timeless - just as the pictures here indicate. My husband and I talk about how thankful we are that we picked The Virginian to be our wedding venue and that it's the type of venue we can revisit yearly. We even have plans to book a hotel room on our first anniversary just to relive some of that magic again.

We loved working with Shelley Waldeck and Angelie Keller on our special day. It was great having everything in one place--ceremony, cocktail hour, reception. The bridal/honeymoon suite was just at the top of the stairs to the ballroom, so we didn't need to travel far. The food at both the cocktail hour and reception was impeccable. Could not have asked for a better venue for a stress-free wedding day.

WOW WHERE DO I BEGIN?! My husband and I got married at The Virginian on 12.19.21. We are originally from the Northern VA/DC area and a friend of our told us to check out towns outside of DC since we couldn't find what we wanted. We wanted a MODERN ballroom, with a grand staircase, high ceiling (preferably glass)and chandeliers at a reasonable cost.... and then we found the VIRGINIAN. It checked off every. single.thing we wanted!!! Planning our wedding with the Virginian was absolutely a dream come true. Angelie Keller, the Virginian's Event Coordinator was a blessing. So responsive to all of my emails (and I sent a lot haha), and was always willing to work with my busy schedule. She truly made our dream wedding come true!!All of my guests keep talking about how amazing the staff was. To Johnathan and Connor, the valet, Michael at the front desk and Rick the bartender, everyone treated us with soooo much respect and happiness for our big day. If I had to do it again I would choose the Virginian every singe time. The price is very reasonable especially when compared to DC venues, the people are amazing and I absolutely love that it's such a small town where everyone in the wedding business knows each other. If you are considering the Virginian for your wedding make an appt to tour today!!! The moment I first entered the Virginian I KNEW this is the place I wanted to get married. It was the perfect venue for our modern day fairytale!!!

Absolutely love this venue! They were extremely responsive, attentive to detail, Angelie (the coordinator there) was an angel and literally saved my wedding from falling apart due to my day of coordinator canceling THE NIGHT BEFORE MY WEDDING. Oh, and I cannot forgot the rest of the Virginian team who put on an amazing surprise performance!! They honestly felt like long-lost cousins—we just connected with them so well!! I just can’t thank Angelie enough for everything she did for us. I added her on social media because she truly became a friend after that day. Love the Virginian!

The Virginian is the perfect place to have a wedding weekend. The ballroom is breathtaking with the marble staircase complete with an ornate iron railing. The staff is professional and go the extra mile to accommodate all needs. The bridal suite is large and well appointed. My daughter and son in law were pleased in every interaction. The packages were well priced and included a variety of options. We had a sit down meal for 130 and everyone I spoke with raved about the food, wine, and beverages from the bar. It was wonderful.
