VOSH stole our hearts from the first day we toured it till the day we said I DO! Sidonee and Larry were so amazing to work with and were always available to answer any of our questions and to help us navigate our wedding day. It was a joy getting to know them. The flow of the venue was just seamless and the grounds are just so picturesque. The Bride and Groom rooms accommodated all of our wedding party perfectly. The Secret Garden was also another gem and a perfect getaway for us to catch our breath. All of our guests had so much fun and are still talking about how beautiful our wedding day was. Thank you again to VOSH for all the unforgettable moments and memories that we made and that will forever be etched in our hearts.

VOSH stole our hearts from the first day we toured it till the day we said I DO! Sidonee and Larry were so amazing to work with and were always available to answer any of our questions and to help us navigate our wedding day. It was a joy getting to know them. The flow of the venue was just seamless and the grounds are just so picturesque. The Bride and Groom rooms accommodated all of our wedding party perfectly. The Secret Garden was also another gem and a perfect getaway for us to catch our breath. All of our guests had so much fun and are still talking about how beautiful our wedding day was. Thank you again to VOSH for all the unforgettable moments and memories that we made and that will forever be etched in our hearts.

We had a great wedding at this venue. The owners were pleasant, easy to work with, and reasonable throughout our planning process. On day of, the aesthetics exceeded our already high expectations and we received impromptu compliments on choice of venue from guests. Logistics (15 minutes from center of downtown Austin) are hard to beat and made our and our guests' lives easier.

We had a great wedding at this venue. The owners were pleasant, easy to work with, and reasonable throughout our planning process. On day of, the aesthetics exceeded our already high expectations and we received impromptu compliments on choice of venue from guests. I cannot say enough about Sidonee and Larry at VOSH. Everything was absolutely beautiful. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful everything was. They fell in love with everything that we did when we first toured. The layout makes the day flow seamlessly and is a gorgeous backdrop for photos no matter what part of the grounds you’re on. The bridal suite was spacious with multiple rooms so no one was crowded or on top of each other. The lighting on the vanity was PERFECT. My makeup artist was so impressed and even our coordinator stated she’d never seen a venue with such good lighting for makeup. None of the men wanted to leave the groom’s area. They had a blast and it really helped them to relax to have a place to themselves tucked away to unwind and get ready. Sidonee took care of us right from the beginning. Very open communication, friendly and just all around a very sweet and genuine person. Thank you so much for helping make our big day a dream come true. It was everything we could’ve hoped for and more.

VOSH is an absolutely stunning venue. It was a great layout for my 92 guest wedding in November 2021 and not too far from downtown which was convenient. A few downsides though:-The sound system cut out for 45 minutes of our 2 hour dancing due to electrical issues. This was a big downer. The venue did compensate us some for the lost dancing time. The mic during my Dad's toast was cutting in and out and the music in the dining building was barely audible because it was so muffled. I hope the electrical system has or will be upgraded soon for future events. -Communication with the venue was a little tough. We booked the venue more than a year in advance and sometimes it took a couple weeks and multiple follow up emails to get a response on questions, like typical dining table layouts.-The venue owner called me 3 days before our Saturday wedding, which was 2 days before our rehearsal, to ask me to move the rehearsal to Friday morning since the Friday night wedding needed an additional hour for set up. I couldn't do that since my bridal shower was that morning which is when the owner suggested doing the rehearsal in the parking lot. That was a no from me since that negates the entire purpose of a rehearsal. Luckily the owner worked things out with the other wedding, but our rehearsal was in the middle of the other wedding getting set up which was really awkward and also that added unnecessary stress at the last minute.-We planned to use the on-site commercial margarita machine that's included with the venue rental. Apparently it was broken (the venue was waiting for a replacement part in the mail which didn't come in time for our wedding) but the venue never told us, so when I asked for a frozen marg during our reception I was surprisingly disappointed.

Choosing a perfect spot to get married is hard. I, along with my parents looking for sometime to find what I would consider to be the perfect location. I loved Vista because it was open and very big. I loved that it was so green and the lighting that was provided in so many ways made a for a beautiful night wedding. I felt the vista was different and the owners were so supportive.

Choosing the Vista on Seward Hill was easily one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. The space is beyond gorgeous, the owners are friendly and helpful, and Anthony, the DJ and defacto day-of planner, is amazing to work with. They were flexible with us when the pandemic hit and super professional and competent when it came to getting all the details in place. It was a perfect day and it couldn't have happened without the hard work and organization of Anthony and Sidonee. A special note for brides planning during the pandemic- we were easily able to hold everything outside (ceremony, dinner, dancing) at this venue to increase safety and out guests never felt cramped or uncomfortable. If you're looking for a space that can allow for safe social distancing and staying outside (while still being jaw-droppingly beautiful), this is 100% your dream venue. (Plus it's great that it feels like you're out of the city, but is close enough for Uber rides for guests staying downtown).

Simply a beautiful venue. A lot comes with it so it totally worth every penny. My favorite thing about the venue was Anthony. He DJ’s, he coordinates, etc. There’s honestly no need for a wedding coordinator if he’s involved.

Sidonee and the entire team over at Vista on Seward Hill were so amazing to work with! This was the second venue we looked at very early on in our planning process, and we booked it right away because we could tell it was too good to pass up. The entire venue is just gorgeous, and so many guests have told us since the wedding that they couldn't believe how beautiful the entire evening was! Especially if you want a beautifully lit outdoor dinner, this is the venue for you!

Larry and Sidonee will make sure your wedding goes exactly as planned; they even gave us recommendations to keep our costs down. The icing on the cake, however, is Anthony. He is the resident DJ at the venue but goes above and beyond his DJ duties. He helped us with the rehearsal, mixed songs for our first dance, made sure we stick to our wedding timeline, orchestrated the entire flow of our wedding...the list goes on and on. This venue is as beautiful as it seems on the pictures. Dreamy and romantic. We're so happy we've found this wonderful place to share our biggest moment in lives. The venue holders and DJ are super warm and helpful. We didn't even need to hire a wedding planner/coordinator since the DJ already helped to coordinate all the work!!! Sedoni and Larry are super nice and responsive. It's definitely the perfect venue for your dream wedding.

I searched long and hard to find a venue that fit what I wanted, and The Vista on Seward Hill had exactly what I was looking for without a crazy high price tag. Initially, the cost of the venue was more than I wanted to spend. However, with how perfectly my wedding went, I would pay it again without a second thought! Sidonee and Larry are wonderful. They didn't always remember when I had scheduled to come by the venue, but always treated me with the upmost kindness and were extremely helpful every time I called or came by. I had an issue with getting in contact with the day-of coordinator to figure out the wedding day schedule to send to vendors, but when I called Larry in a panic, he took care of it for me. Anthony was very organized at the rehearsal and was spectacular the day of the wedding, which more than made up for the hiccup in contacting him in the weeks before. He had the day of the wedding all down to a science. I didn't have to worry about a single thing the whole time. All my guests were very impressed with how organized, yet relaxed, the day was. Everybody felt well-informed by Anthony on what to do without feeling rushed. There was absolutely no awkward standing around by my guests or waiting around impatiently for the next piece to start! I had told Anthony at the rehearsal that I wanted to start at 7, regardless of whether all guests were there, because I like to stick to a schedule. He made sure all guests were seated prior to that time. He came to check on me around 6:45 to see if I was ready. When I said I was, he went to get the groomsmen ready to walk and I was walking down the aisle shortly after 7! Sidonee came to check on me while I was waiting for my turn to go down the aisle and had a soothing conversation with me so that I didn't feel the least bit nervous. The attention to detail in the decor at the venue is the main reason I was drawn to it. The outdoor ceremony space is breathtaking and made for great pictures. My guests loved walking around the grounds during cocktail hour and during the dancing. My personal favorite spot is the secret garden where my husband and I had a private dinner while our guests ate in the indoor dining area. We didn't even eat much of our food from all the adrenalin still running through us, but it was so nice to sit quietly by ourselves and just enjoy being together before going to mingle with guests. I can't even begin to express my gratitude to Sidonee, Larry, and Anthony for everything. I got so many compliments the night of the wedding on how perfect everything was, and almost 2 months later, my guests are STILL talking about how much they loved the wedding. A huge part of that was the beauty of the venue and the amazing people running it!

Sidonee, Larry, Anthony, and the VOSH Team were an absolute dream to work with. They made our wedding date perfect and were extremely flexible with coordinating music, special touches that we wanted for our big day, etc. The venue is stunning (and almost seems like Austin's best kept secret - our photographer has been shooting in Austin for 11 years and this was his first time shooting at Vista). The VOSH Team did an incredible job of stepping in so that the groom and I really got to enjoy every moment of the day. If I got married all over again, I wouldn't hesitate even for a moment to re-book VOSH for my wedding. Thank you, Sewards for a perfect wedding day that we will cherish forever!

Sidonee, Larry, Anthony, and the VOSH Team were an absolute dream to work with. They made our wedding date perfect and were extremely flexible with coordinating music, special touches that we wanted for our big day, etc. The venue is stunning (and almost seems like Austin's best kept secret - our photographer has been shooting in Austin for 11 years and this was his first time shooting at Vista). The VOSH Team did an incredible job of stepping in so that the groom and I really got to enjoy every moment of the day. Vista was magical. My wife and I had looked at a few different venues, and all were very nice. But when we got to the Vista we felt transported. You go up this driveway and are suddenly in another dimension where everything is beautiful and almost out of time? We always said it felt almost like being in Greece or Italy. The mega highlight to me, aside from the aesthetics, was venue-within-a-venue-within-a-venue nature of Vista. There's the outdoor ceremony area, then another building for an indoor dinner, then another building for the after-dinner festivities. And each one has its own air and style to it. There's just a lot to explore in a small area, so it feels large and intimate all in one. Also, the DJ, Anthony, is terrific at what he does. I've been to a lot of weddings with bad DJs. And weddings with great DJs. I'm positive that Anthony was the best I've heard. Sidonee and Larry Seward were also incredibly nice and accommodating and patient. The personal touch they add goes a long way. I could continue to gush about the Vista, but, instead, you should just go see for yourself!

If you are looking for a venue that is close to downtown and surrounding hotels but secluded at the same time then this venue is for you. Plus you get the benefit of having Sidonee and Larry to work with. They were super helpful during the whole planning process, with not only recommending vendors to use but if you had any questions about anything they had the answer or could steer you in the right direction. Anthony at the Vista made the day of go off without a hitch, he kept us on schedule the entire night. I would definitely recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

The Vista on Seward Hill is a hidden gem, 10-15min from downtown, yet peaceful and full of hill country magic! As many reviewers have mentioned, Larry and Sidonee couldn't be easier to work with! From open houses to an open-door policy, I visited the venue on several occasions with vendors, family, or just to see how the outdoors transformed in different seasons. They were easy to communicate with and always flexible with my schedule! You'd be hard pressed to find another venue, at this price point, that comes with as many amenities and details as VOSH. Anthony, the DJ whose services come with the venue price, works so hard maintaining the grounds, and he knows the property inside and out. He ensured the timeline went off without a hitch, but there were a couple lull moments where guests weren't necessarily feeling the music - in hindsight, I wish I would have asked him to change the song as soon as the dance floor started to empty. Our wedding was on 11/3/2018, and it rained for weeks prior to our big day. Sidonee constantly updated us and worked with our coordinator to edit reception table arrangements to ensure our guests didn't sink. As luck would have it, we had perfect weather, and the outdoor ceremony and reception were gorgeous. I spent almost nothing on decor, as VOSH came with luxurious velvet sofas and tables, cocktail hour fire tables, plenty of greenery, and much more. We did a ton of research on caterers, coordinators, and photographers, but ended up going with the ones initially suggested by Sidonee - they have been in the business long enough to know who can be held accountable to make your life SO easy the day-of.

We searched many venues in Austin and the Vista on Seward Hill was by far the best. The surroundings and venue alone are beautiful even without any decorations. From the choice of indoor or outdoor seating and/or reception, to the timeless water fountains/koi ponds and the lush canopy above, and to the gorgeous chandelier in the dance hall, this property has numerous facets that truly are a niche in the wedding venue world. We first fell in love with Larry & Sidonee! A lovely couple that make you feel very welcomed and at home. Their beautiful home is on the grounds of the venue. In fact, Larry's \"man cave\" is available to use for the groom's area and the view is spectacular for photos. My daughter knew immediately that VOSH would be perfect for their wedding. I could go on for ever about the service, lovely grounds, and unique touches. As fate would have it... it rained all morning but by 2:00 we were set for an outdoor wedding because The Vista is situated on a hill and the water drains very quickly! We decided to move the dinner indoors just to be safe. So, plan B is a nice alternative if the weather prevails. The setting allows for an easy indoor/ outdoor flow with several bars, sitting areas with no need to do rentals! Our quests were in AWE. Thank you Larry & Sidonee for treating us like family and for the care that I'm sure that you put into every wedding! Best Ever Venue ! #dreamwedding

What a great experience with the Vista on Seward Hill! The family that owns the property is more than kind and always willing to go above and beyond for your comfort. Larry and Sidonee Seward are ultra sweet people, and in no world could I see them disappointing anyone. The lighting and fixtures that Austin Event lighting installed was magical. If you like chandeliers then you’re in for a treat! Anthony their on site DJ is a gem of a coordinator. He really knows how to pull things together and work with you. Matt Montalvo was our photographer and I can’t say enough good things about him as well! That guy captured the essence of the day with such great vision. He’s a true professional with a positive energy that makes everything feel so natural! The flowers from Bouquets of Austin were impressive and they listened to my picky self. Stephanie Barro for the flower win! Food from Austin Catering was on par with the rest of the night. Very nice turn out with their work. My gold trophy goes to ILCfilms. I LOVE those guys and they do great fast work. They’re seriously a must have. Beautymark Agency provided two incredible artists. I was beyond pleased with Leah Black’s makeup skills. She matched my inspiration picture perfectly! Very good vibes with her as well. My hair stylist, Aneysa Moreno, flawlessly merged two hair inspirations I gave her. I need to be friends with these people I kid you not! So here’s the deal. Although it sounds like I don’t have anything bad to say, I’m a harsh critic! That is a true testament to how great of an experience I had. I searched many venues in Austin and none of which quite spoke for itself like the Vista on Seward Hill. The place alone is beautiful without any decorations. Do yourself a favor and look no further. You can tell these people love what they do by the quality of care given. VOSH was the BEST choice for my wedding two weeks ago! After visiting several venues in Austin and Dripping Springs, we were the most impressed with how Larry, Sidonee, and Anthony did not treat our wedding like it was part of a business. Instead, they genuinely love what they do and were so excited for us. Anthony knows the venue and wedding flow like the back of his hand and did so much to relieve anxiety about the ceremony and reception timeline. In addition, the venue is gorgeous with wonderful trees that provide plenty of shade, which is very important in Texas. I could not recommend this venue enough to anyone who wants a beautiful, stress-free wedding.

The second I walked up and saw the amazing trees, the music playing, and where I would walk down the aisle, I knew I needed to get married here. The vibes are fantastic and fit an Austin wedding perfectly. Larry and Sidonee were fantastic hosts and extremely helpful. My family really enjoyed getting to know them and I can't thank the both of you enough for everything you've done. Every single one of my guests were absolutely in love with the venue and the wedding was so beautiful. Seriously out of a fairytale. Thank you both so much for a memory I will never forget. My husband and I absolutely loved Vista on Seward Hill! The venue is beautiful and recent renovations really set it apart from anything else we saw in the city. A new $20k elegant chandelier to dance under, modern and grand blue velvet upholstery, fresh paint on the outside of the venue!We hosted a Sangeet (i.e. a ~185 person Indian rehearsal dinner) at the Vista and the venue fit perfectly. It was both spacious, yet still intimate. We were easily able to interact with all of our guests. Sidonee and Larry who own the space are incredibly sweet and genuinely cared about us having a beautiful and memorable event. They both stepped in to oversee the set-up and Sidonee was very responsive and helpful pre-event via email. Useful notes:Vista has a few strict rules which you should make sure to plan around (i.e. start time, end time, baby sitter requirements, etc.), but the rules are all reasonable and we appreciated that everything was clear and transparent from the beginning. DJ & Music - The Vista comes with their own DJ (Anthony) and the venue is wired for sound (for music and announcements) the whole way through which is incredibly convenient if you are hosting an indoor/outdoor event. Anthony is fantastic. We needed a mix of Indian and American music and were able to work with him on putting together a custom playlist. Anthony helped block time for a rehearsal to make sure he knew the flow of the event in terms of music expectations, key announcements (i.e. speeches, dance performances, when dinner was ready, and buses were leaving). He was great about following the event time line and making sure we stayed on schedule. Food - The venue has a limited list of pre-approved vendors they work with for catering, that said the options were fantastic. They do offer with a fee to run through a testing process for a potential set-up of a new vendor, which we were mainly interested in because the only Indian vendor they offered is specialized primarily in fusion/modern Indian food. But we ended up falling in love with one of the non-Indian pre-approved vendors, Rosemary’s Catering. Emily at Rosemary’s had worked with Vista several times in the past, and helped to ensure our event ran smoothly with no surprises. Weather - We hosted our event in December and as you can imagine the weather can be hit or miss. It happened to snow the week before our event, but we got pretty lucky with the weather. The evening weather for us was in the low 50s/upper 40s. It was certainly on the chilly side, but we rented 5 outdoor heaters and combined that with the fire tables that came with the space and we were able to get a lot of mileage out of the outdoor space, especially early in the night. As the night progressed, people moved indoors to get on the dance floor. Driveway - There is a bit of a steep driveway to get to the venue space. It’s not particularly hard to walk up, but some of our guests were older or pregnant and the walk was a bit difficult. If you are using buses, I’d recommend you confirm in advance that your bus company will drive up the driveway. This isn’t an issue with the 25-30 person buses, but if you have a 40+ person motor coach many of the bus companies will be hesitant to do this. In our case we actually confirmed this beforehand and the bus company still didn’t go up the drive way on the day of the event. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it can be a minor annoyance the day of the event so it’s best to plan around it ahead of time.

Emily at Rosemary’s had worked with Vista several times in the past, and helped to ensure our event ran smoothly with no surprises. Weather - We hosted our event in December and as you can imagine the weather can be hit or miss. It happened to snow the week before our event, but we got pretty lucky with the weather. The evening weather for us was in the low 50s/upper 40s. It was certainly on the chilly side, but we rented 5 outdoor heaters and combined that with the fire tables that came with the space and we were able to get a lot of mileage out of the outdoor space, especially early in the night. As the night progressed, people moved indoors to get on the dance floor. Driveway - There is a bit of a steep driveway to get to the venue space. It’s not particularly hard to walk up, but some of our guests were older or pregnant and the walk was a bit difficult. If you are using buses, I’d recommend you confirm in advance that your bus company will drive up the driveway. This isn’t an issue with the 25-30 person buses, but if you have a 40+ person motor coach many of the bus companies will be hesitant to do this. In our case we actually confirmed this beforehand and the bus company still didn’t go up the drive way on the day of the event. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it can be a minor annoyance the day of the event so it’s best to plan around it ahead of time.

Larry and Sidonee are easy to work with and are very accommodating to make sure your day is as special as possible. My husband loved the groom's gameroom quarters for getting ready with his wedding party and they allowed us to have our dog in the wedding and during the reception too - which truly meant a lot to me! I would have given the venue 5 stars, but my wedding ended unexpectedly an hour early despite all my planning and coordinating that I did. I was very organized and communicated the timeline, but somehow it still wasn't followed. I'm not sure what happened, but despite this occurrence I would still recommend this venue for anyone looking for a beautiful, amazing wedding like the one I had.

I looked at tons of wedding venues in and around Austin, but none of them felt like \"the right place\". As soon as I toured VOSH, I KNEW it was perfect for our wedding day! From the koi ponds, multiple water fountains, elegant ceremony wall, separate dining/reception buildings and gorgeous landscaped grounds (the list goes on), we couldn't have had asked for a more romantic setting. Even my (now) husband loved it, which says a lot coming from a man :) The venue has so much character and on site decor, so I didn't really have to do much additional decoration planning which ended up saving us money in the end!! We had family coming in from other states and wanted to keep them in Austin, so location was perfect too! The owners, Larry and Sidonee, and venue coordinator/DJ, Anthony, greeted us with warm hugs and hospitality from the first time we met. These 3 truly care about doing everything they can to make dreams come true for couples starting a future together. Through countless phone calls, emails, texts and site visits, they always there to help with anything!! I got married there on 9-15-17. It was everything we imagined, plus more! We had about 130 guests and there was plenty of space for people to gather in the reception hall, boogie on the dancefloor, or just enjoy the gorgeous scenery outside. Even though we were in the city, it felt like a magical escape in the hill country. To this day, my guests are raving about how beautiful our wedding was :) Thank you to all of the staff here! VOSH will always be a special part of the day we said \"I do\". I would recommend VOSH to any bride on the search for a perfect inside/outside wedding venue in Austin!

Sean(her son) was helpful with getting the uplighting done for us throughout the whole venue. Which made the place look beautiful. I would highly recommend his services. They have a great team at VOSH. I was blessed to have the opportunity to work with such great people. I would highly recommend VOSH for anyone looking to have a wedding or special event.

The staff and owners are extremely forthcoming with pricing and booking information. We had our May 26, 2017 wedding at Vista on Seward Hill (or VOSH). When I first stepped into VOSH, it felt \"magical.\" It is just beautiful and green and always looked great no matter when we went (we visited the venue several times before our wedding). It's a very unique venue where the dinner hall is in a separate house from the reception area, so guests move into the reception area after dinner. Larry and Sidonee, the owners of the venue, were so friendly and helpful throughout the process. (They seem very respected in the Austin wedding community.) They made some changes to VOSH over the course of a few weeks right before our wedding (which I admit, did give us some minor heart attacks). Most of the changes were great though--they installed a beautiful new bar in the reception hall, but a few changes I was not as crazy about. For instance, the black archway that was covered in lights was taken down. Fortunately, they were willing to put it back up for our wedding and our guests loved taking pictures there. Several of our guests commented about how beautiful the venue was. You also really don't need that many decorations/flowers since it's so lush and green (we only had a few fake flower arrangements). Another great thing about VOSH is that you get a lot of bang for your buck as the price of the venue includes a DJ and day-of coordinator--Anthony. Anthony kept our wedding running smoothly and his song selection during the reception was great. (My one minor quibble is that he was sometimes slow to respond to our emails.) We are so glad we choose VOSH for our wedding!

The Vista on Seward Hill is the most beautiful venue located in Austin, Texas! I am so very thankful for Sidonee and her team for making my sorority's formal a success, thats right, SORORITY FORMAL! I did not expect a wedding venue to adjust to our needs, but VOSH did. They went above and beyond and included services that helped me (the planner of the event) out. The venue is absolutely spectacular as every ne of our sisters thought so too. It's also hard to please 200+ people, but at VOSH, everyone had a great time. There are three convenient bars, photo opportunities just about everywhere you turn, a rockin' dancefloor + a rockin' DJ. My favorite thing about Vosh was that it was secluded from the city, and it was like our event was in its own private city. I can go on and on about how wonderful VOSH is. I got engaged recently, and I definetly know where I'm going to get married in the years to come. Thank you so much VOSH.

The Vista on Seward Hill was THE PERFECT venue for our wedding! I wanted something romantic and gorgeous and The VOSH was just that. The venue itself is so beautiful you really don't even need much decorations or anything. The staff are super friendly and they are prompt responders to anything you have questions about. Our wedding venue was gorgeous! After two years of planning with some bumps on the way we finally got married (woo!!) Owner Sidonee along side her Husband and son are so sweet, easy to talk to and very accommodating. The property itself is gorgeous with the string of lights going from tree to tree, optional lanterns in every color possible, fire pit cocktail tables outside and all the gorgeous soothing fountains! Then there is the two buildings which are great for having a separate dinning room and a separate dancing room while still being in the same area! The DJ that comes with the venue, Anthony, is a sweet man and very accommodating as well! He made sure our guest go to point a to point b, took special request while playing popular favorites and variety of music and played great cocktail hour music! Couldn't say enough about the vista!

Words can not express how much I love this venue. I attended a wedding here 2 weeks ago and somehow left my (expensive) sunglasses there. I called a week later hoping someone had turned them in. Well sure enough, the owner said he had them and the cleaners always leave whatever they find on his desk the next day. Things such as jewels of dresses, shoes, and money have all been turned in. In my opinion that is absolutely amazing. On top of that the owner mailed me my sunglasses first class the very next day. I can't thank the staff enough for everything they did. This venue is well kept with the perfect amount of hill country charm and filled with the most amazing and caring staff.

If you are thinking of a destination wedding in Austin you need to call Larry and Sidonee. They made my daughter's wedding day a true success and many of the guests said what a wonderful location. Chandeliers hanging in the trees and beautiful fountains and statues. What is not too love. Unfortunately I only have one daughter and can't do it again.

Where do I begin about VOSH? Not only is this property breathtaking beautiful but so is the spirit of the more than personable owners- Larry and Sidonee. My now husband and I married only a short 4 month engagement and they helped us plan and navigate everything from ceremony to reception setup. It came recommended by our coordinator Patrice and being that I lived in Dallas I was limited in my availability to see the property and resorted to Yelp and online mediums for pics. The pictures online are beautiful but they do this place NO JUSTICE- as a bride you MUST visit the property and see it in all of its glory. Again being that we both reside out of town- my groom overseas, they kept us abreast of everything, answered every question even when they were away on vacation and were patient and understanding of our needs throughout the entire process. They were so loving, giving and ensured that VOSH would be everything we needed it to be on that day and gosh was it. As for the big wedding day- IT was amazing! The view was loved by our guests and even Sean of Austin Event Lighting- also a vendor that I highly recommend made some suggestions that ensured it went off without a hitch with perfect needed lighting. The transitions from ceremony garden to dining hall to reception room were smooth and we more than enjoyed the gorgeous picturesque bridal suite and my groom more than indulged in the groom's game room man cave so much so that he wants one of his own lol. If you are in the market for a wedding venue that isn't your typical hotel scene, gives you opulence in its ambiance with a Midsummer's Night Dream Glamour feel- please know that VISTA ON SEWARD HILL owned and operated by southern gems- Larry and Sidonee Seward is the BEST PLACE IN AUSTIN- HANDS DOWN! My husband and I said our vows with family and friends on May 27, 16 at the VOSH. I wanted an outdoor wedding with a Texas feel and I got it. The back drop is gorgeous. Indoor option if it rains, ceremony and reception in one area, the bridal room to the grooms room, I will never forget the Secret garden.They have thought of it all.We left relaxed, assured and confident that our wedding was going to be spectacular after each meeting. The Seward's gave us great advice and shared information when choosing vendors. Vendors have nothing but positive and great things to say about them and the venue. Our wedding turned out to be more beautiful and amazing than I would have ever dreamed of. Anthony was outstanding DJ and you have nothing to worry about the day of. Our guests never stopped dancing, out friends keep telling us how much fun our wedding was. Sean was great with the photo booth, must do at any event. I found this place and when I stepped in the grounds my face fell into my hands and I cried, I knew this was my venue. We had a small intimate wedding but we had very intricate details. We all dressed up as fairies with jewels and we wanted a fairytale ambiance. Sidonee and Larry, the owners, were 110 percent supportive. They always answered my calls and emails. Sidonee helped me with several different matters through out the year of planning. She was my rock. Our caterers and Anthony, the dj, were some of the most accommodating, patient and caring people. We felt loved. We had some kids and the staff would just jump into help us. This was my dream wedding come true. Not only is this place stunning and big and affordable it is priceless in terms of your dreams coming true. Thank you the vista.

My husband and I tied the knot at VOSH in April 2016! It was the perfect venue for our outdoor spring garden wedding. VOSH is an absolutely gorgeous garden space with beautiful ponds, status, and thoughtful details everywhere you look. Sidonee and her husband were a pleasure to work with. Not only were they professional, helpful, and prompt with our questions, but they were also kind and made us both feel at ease. The amenities/staff that come with the venue were also great...less work for me! It was also great to know that if it had rained, then we would have had beautiful buildings to have both our ceremony and reception to accommodate our 200 guests. Couldn't love this place more! Wish I could get married again.

The venue is breathtaking, and even though it was over cast and raining the day of my wedding, God truly provided when he made the rain stop just in time so that the wedding was able to be outside. I can't thank them enough for giving me the wedding of my dreams at their amazing venue/home. Not to mention, the guys LOVED the billiards room and everyone was talking about how personable Sidonee was. It was so convenient being able to have the ceremony and the reception at the same location. You will NOT be disappointed with this venue choice, highly recommend!

We were looking for a location that could accommodate a tiny party of 6 people total (including bride&groom) for a quick ceremony (no reception) and were drawn to the photos of the Vista on Seward Hill. We contacted Sidonee on a whim, not expecting such a large and successful venue to be willing to help us out, but we were wrong! Not only did they work with us for the short ceremony- Sidonee saw that we had what we needed day of and even set up a small flower arrangement for us since we weren't bringing any decorations with us. Hands down, the Vista on Seward Hill is the BEST venue in Austin. The kindness and hospitality we were treated with was exceptional and our wedding was more intimate and romantic than I could have imagined. Highly Recommend.

First off the venue is this breathtaking, spacious atmosphere! I cried as soon as I stepped into the magical ambiance that is the Vista because I knew I found my dream venue. There are statues and waterfalls surrounded by lush greenery. Sidonee and Larry provide beautiful lighting and will adjust color to your liking. The rate includes some center pieces and a D.J which is un heard of. To add the cherry to an already insatiable place I have been calling Sidonee and Larry non stop due to the pressure of the imminent wedding and they have went above and beyond for me. They always call me back with all my questions answered and more. I really can't rave enough about how wonderful these two people are. The venue also has a secret garden that will melt your heart. You and your husband will get to eat your first dinner as a married couple in a secret garden ( I mean come on)! I love them and I love The Vista. Love love love.

This place is magical!!! Back in 2012 my lung disease, Cystic Fibrosis took a turn for the worse. I was put on 24/7 oxygen and also listed on the lung transplant list. My then boyfriend of 7 years and I felt it was necessary to get married as soon as possible. I reached out to the owner of the Vista and shared our story. I explained that we didnt have much financially but that our love was strong and we needed a wedding venue that felt special because we needed a miracle in order for me to get new lungs. The owner invited us to the Vista and as soon as we got there I felt the magic of the Hill. I knew this was the place. It was out of our price range but the wonderful owners helped us to get married in an intimate setting on 12.12.12. I cant explain the exact feeling but the Hill provided some type of healing that we desperately needed. Our wedding night was definitely magical and more than anything I could have dreamed of. I am happy to report that I received my new lungs on July 31, 2014 and my husband and I look forward to visiting the Vista on our 3rd wedding anniversary in December. We can not thank the owners enough for our wonderful wedding. We also can not wait to get back there and experience that magical and healing feeling that comes over you just by being there. The vista is the perfect place for a magical wedding night! We went with a Thursday wedding and it was a very reasonable weekday price. The location is perfect, just off of 360 and Bee Caves. \r\rSidonee and Larry are what really makes this place shine, they truly care about providing excellent customer service and a memorable experience and it shows.\r\rThis is one of the most beautiful venues which is why we picked it of course. There is as soon as you walk in a lovely little gazebo where you can place your welcome sign. You walk down a beautiful path towards where the ceremony area is, they do have a rain option as well. There is gorgeous landscaping all around you and it feels as if you stepped into another world, they are constantly upgrading and improving here.\r\rI love that the flow of the place isn't in one room. You have a separate dining area, and then an outdoor courtyard with fire pit tables and an outdoor bar. Then you have a breezeway with benches and plenty of seating to take you into the dance floor. There is also another great bar here with ample space...the large marble welcome table is where we had our mini dessert bar. There is a small nook where we had our photo booth, it was perfect for that. Best of all, there is a secret garden area! After the ceremony and photos, when everyone is eating, you get spirited away to enjoy some alone time and you get to BREATHE and take a few bites of food and sip on some cocktails and enjoy one another in newly married bliss. \r\rAll of the lighting was wonderful, they include a color theme and also paper lanterns and if you have a screen of your monogram then they have a spotlight for the dance floor.\r\rThe entire place is wired for sound and they have a microphone to use during the ceremony. They also have a projector where you can show a picture slideshow.\r\rThey also include all of the tables and chairs, you must provide the linens. But this is a great package deal, they also throw in the DJ...you just have to be very specific with him what type of music you want to play but there is a website that you can use in order to list out all of your wants and needs. \r\rWe also opted to get an extra hour because the fun kept going there, literally everyone said we had the most fun wedding in the most gorgeous setting. I have zero regrets on my choice of venue, I am so glad that Sidonee and Larry made our special day truly amazing by having us over in their little slice of heaven (their house is also located on the property but it is tucked away in the back).

I can't say enough about the Krenek's, they're just flat out awesome they're very welcoming and made the process very easy. They're responsive to emails and worked well with my schedule for vendor meetings. It was clear to me they've done a ton of events and have thought through a lot of the details you may not have. The venue is very beautiful and really doesn't need a lot of decoration but can certainly handle it if you choose to go that route (I did) VOSH was the perfect venue for my wedding. I knew Austin was the perfect place for our wedding since I went to school there and just fell in love with the city. After a whole day of venue shopping, we decided to go to one last place that day that truthfully, pictures did not do it justice. The Vista on Seward Hill was everything and more that we were hoping to find in one place. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of food that was recommended, atmosphere, scenery and overall experience. As a wedding venue we couldn’t fault anything. The food was out of this world and all our guests commented on the place and great time they had. It is so incredibly beautiful and has everything in 1 place. We talked a lot with Sidonee, the owner who was really helpful with whatever questions and things we needed and Anthony, the DJ/Wedding coordinator. The owners and Anthony were so nice, made sure we had everything we needed and was satisfied only when I was happy. Every year they remodel to make this already dream venue different for couples and guests to have a different experience. From lighting, to enchanting gardens with statues that will make your special day even more magical. \rThe day of our wedding we were SO happy with how everything turned out. The best night of my life! Seriously. I first was at this beautiful venue 5 years ago at my mom’s wedding. I knew when it was time this was exactly where I wanted to have my wedding. This was purely based on appearance it was GORGEOUS inside and out. It is such a beautiful place it even saved me in decorations! Then when it was time to start planning Larry and Sidonee made me feel so comfortable they treated me like family. Anthony, the in house coordinator/planner was my life saver on the day of. He kept things along the schedule. So not only is the venue beautiful the people within it were even better! We had a bit of a weather scare. It was about 40 degrees during the ceremony outside but our guests were not even bothered. The day after the wedding I received numerous compliments on how beautiful the location/venue was. We are now approaching our one year anniversary and oh how I wish I could be back at this venue re-living our wedding day. The Vista on Seward Hill exceeded all my expectations and made this day the best day ever!

And I'd like to add, this venue has so many beautiful spots for bridal portraits. My bridal portrait and my daughter's are from this gorgeous venue. The bride's room is a must see! The Vista on Seward Hill is an incredibly romantic venue to have an outdoor wedding ceremony. The venue is multifaceted with several large rooms and seating areas that add diversity and charm to your reception. It is all inclusive and provides a an incredible DJ and 2 patient, kind owners that live on property. The relationship is personal and not commercial. I would get married there again in a heart beat! I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful this place is - you have to go see it for yourself! My husband and I fell in love with the venue instantly and all of our family and friends still talk about how beautiful it was. The stone backdrop for the ceremony is gorgeous, and we loved the flow of all the indoor and outdoor space for the reception. I also loved the the private gazebo where we got to spend some moments alone after the ceremony before the reception began.\rSidonee and Sean were both so helpful and accommodating as we were planning and Anthony was such a big help on the big day! If you are getting married in Austin, I couldn't think of a better place!

I could not be happier that my daughter's wedding was at Vista on Seward Hill. The facility is beautiful. The lighting was well done. It is spacious and well laid out. Plenty of indoor and outdoors seating for guests to enjoy-everything was just perfect. Their expertise in planning aspects was much appreciated.

We visited about 10 wedding venues in person (and contacted many others via email and/or researched them online), but I just didn't feel that enthusiastic about any of them until we visited VOSH. As soon as we started looking around the venue, I knew it was right for us! This hidden gem is easily one of the best venues in town. First, it's a TERRIFIC value. All of your tables and chairs are included with the price, and you also get the wonderful DJ and coordinator, Anthony. Anthony was absolutely amazing, and you will not even need a wedding coordinator with him on board- so there's some savings right there! They also have a projector and screen, which was important to us because we wanted to show a slideshow during the reception. And they have a really cool bubble machine for your departure- which makes for great pictures. With all of that included, you will save a bundle. Next, Sidonee and everyone else involved was very communicative and on-top of things. There were some venues that I emailed or contacted when we were first shopping around that didn't even bother getting back to me, which blew my mind. If the venue is not taking care of you right off the bat, you can't trust them with your wedding day! Our entire experience with VOSH was seamless. Last, we loved that the property was uniquely divided into 3 separate areas: the outdoor ceremony area, the dinner building, and the dancing/bar building. It made for a really organized traffic flow, and made decorating and turnover that much easier. We had considered some of the other options in Dripping Springs and the Hill Country, and there are a lot of fabulous venues out there, but after a long drive out to the Hill Country to visit a venue, we knew we wanted some place inside the Austin city limits. VOSH is easy enough for all of your in-town guests to find and access, and we got so many compliments on our venue.

The Vista on Seward Hill\r \rMy partner of 15 years and I had been waiting for our home state of Texas to recognize our right to marry. On Friday June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court of the United States of America ruled that ALL states must allow same-sex couples to marry. That very day we secured our marriage licence and began to plan our long awaited wedding. We scanned the web looking for a venue and happened upon The Vista on Seward Hill very early in our search. We sent an inquiry that night and received a response in what had to be record time. Sidonee (owner of the venue) called me on Sunday responding to our inquiry and delivering the great good news that our desired date September 5, 2015 had just miraculously become available, smack dab in the middle of wedding season. The couple that had that date decided to postpone their wedding day. We took the tour that day meeting Sidonee and her handsome husband Larry. These two are the warmest, kindest and most fun people we could have hoped for. They were delighted to have us as clients and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The venue is stunning and just what we never imagined, because frankly I hadn't been thinking of where or even when we would marry. I mean dang!, we live in Texas. Sidonee had a wealth of information and practically held our hands as we navigated the very new to us world of wedding planning. Sean did a masterful job of lighting the venue in our chosen colors. The able assistance of Anthony was invaluable. He walks you through the whole event helping you plan and time everything from A to Z and he is a killer DJ, too!!\r \rThe day arrived hardly more than 2 months after we had decided on a date. We had the most wonderful venue, food, officiant (Rev. Lorelei Starbuck, google search her) flowers, outfits and more. Our list had grown from our original plan of 100 to 150+ and ready or not it was time to tie the knot. We had what several guests refereed to as \"the wedding of the century\". All night and many conversations since we have heard what a beautiful wedding it was and what a terrific venue at which to have held it. We recently celebrated our 6th anniversary, & I called to see if we would be able to sneak in & remenisce for a bit. Larry & Sidonee were so kind! Not only did they allow us to visit, but they had music & lighting all ready for us! It truly shows when someone loves what they do, & it is especially evident here! When my husband and I saw this venue, we were in awe and fell in love with the place. We canceled the rest of our venue appointments and book VOSH immediately. Larry and Sidonee are the most caring people ever and they treat you like family. They responded to my calls and emails very promptly and let me visit the venue countless of times to help with the planning. My guests were blown away with place and still talk about how breathtaking and gorgeous my wedding was. VOSH also provides the DJ who is the BOMB!!! I did not get a wedding planner and I'm glad I didn't. Anthony got with us in person and help outline our timeline, music, and gave us helpful tips. Sean (Larry and Sidonee's son) offers great up-lighting and chandeliers which I'm glad I added cause it definitely gave a polished look. I went with their preferred cater and vendors because they are already familiar with the place and if something went wrong they knew exactly how to fix it. My wedding day went off without a hitch and IT WAS PERFECT...that's how you want to remember your big day. THANK YOU VOSH!!!!!!

My Husband (!!) and I were recently married at Vista on Seward Hill (aka VOSH) on March 7th 2015! I have nothing but positive things to say about our experiences at VOSH. It's a family owned and operated business and the Seward's do everything they can to make each wedding as perfect as possible. I learned from our first visit to the venue that if something goes wrong at a wedding they see to it immediately that another wedding will not experience the same issue - and our day was just PERFECT! Sidonee & Larry are so kind and helpful with all questions, and make you feel right at home. I am a born and raised Austinite who moved to Dallas after graduating college - so I did most of the planning remotely and visited the venue with my Mom every time I was back in town. Larry and Sidonee did everything possible to make the long-distance planning process a dream!! Sean, who handles all the lighting and AV (a great value for what is included!!!) also was so easy to work with, and produced exactly what I was imagining for the day of! The venue also includes an in house DJ/MC/Coordinator, Anthony - who did a wonderful job! He helped us with the planning process, day of logistics and played all the requested tunes to get our guests up on the dance floor. \r\rI even received a personal thank you note from the Seward's after the event - such a kind gesture. All in all - the most perfect of days and I am so glad we picked VOSH to help us celebrate!

They also had great vendor recommendations.\r\rThe ONLY reason I am not giving them a full 5 stars is because their coordinator Anthony was hard to get a hold of, constantly canceled/rescheduled planned meetings, and was an hour late to our rehearsal. I am sure that he was very busy in the midst of wedding season, but I am very Type A and this really got underneath my skin. I will say though that Anthony was wonderful on the day of the wedding. He kept things running smooth and on time. He did a good job of wrangling of everyone, and he got all the music just right.\r\rI was very happy with how everything turned out. I would recommend this venue t anyone looking for a an elegant rustic wedding, but I would definitely be sure to triple confirm with Anthony on everything.

I am so happy I chose the Vista for my October 2014 wedding! The location is great being so close into town, and you get so much for your money here! It was really nice to have a single vendor to deal with that handled so many pieces of my wedding! All of the people I worked with were very helpful and responsive. Everything was very black and white with them...I had no misunderstandings whatsoever. DJ Anthony (who is provided with your booking) was amazing. He was so helpful in walking me through my timeline, picking out my music and really keeping our event on track during the wedding night! Everything went off without a hitch! I've had so many compliments on what a great venue it is...I would not hesitate to recommend The Vista and I'd definitely use them again if I had to do it all over!

This venue doesn't need a lot of additions due to its natural beauty and landscape. They are always improving/changing something up, however, you will never see construction! My husband and myself had the pleasure of getting married at Vista on Sept 27th. I could not have dreamt of a better venue to say I do at. It was above anything I could have imagined. Having the indoor and outdoor element made the flow of our wedding awesome. And DJ Anthony, who is their in house DJ was far more above that. He handled every single aspect from guest sitting, silencing phones, direction to us for photos, timing and introductions. I would have been a frantic bride with out him. Our florist just added to the gorgeous venue and made it picture perfect.

When I toured The Vista I knew it was the one, with the gorgeous greenery, sculptures, the old trees, fountains, and the amazing breeze it was the full package. The best part of the venue is how Larry and Sidonee make you feel at home, my main reason for choosing the Vista was because of them. They were they every step of the way to help in any way possible. Sean with AEL lighting was awesome he made my big day extra special with cool lightings and the beautiful chandeliers in the trees. Anthony was very very helpful with the music and was there to make our planning process less stressful. Im so happy that I chose The Vista and hope to go back for my one year anniversary. He is amazing! He makes sure the rehearsal and the entire wedding ceremony runs smoothly without any worries. Highly recommend The Vista on Seward Hill.
