We had our wedding at the Terrace this past weekend, November 4th. This was the perfect venue for a late fall wedding. From the beautiful view of the mohawk, well kept grounds, and lighting accents at night, we could not have asked for a more picturesque location.Taylor, the venue coordinator, was a pleasure to work with and ensured that our vision came to life. she worked with us throughout our planning process and was very accommodating to our requests. We were able to customize our menu the way we wanted and within our price range.The staff made us, the bride and groom, feel so cared for and allowed us to truly enjoy our night. Pat, our dedicated staff member, was absolutely wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about the food and complemented the staff endlessly. Overall, we highly recommend the Terrace for your wedding as they made our special day such a wonderful experience!

Dealing with Rit and Sue made our day a piece of cake! Any questions I had Sue was able to answer, and if she couldn't, she easily relayed the message to Rit and he promptly called with answers. As a beer connoisseur, Rit made sure all my beer needs were met as we had six craft beers for our guests to enjoy. The soup du jour and prime rib were mouthwatering! The Terrace was set up beautifully and our head table had a view of everyone. The overnight accommodations at the Homewood Suites made it feel like you were on a vacation even though you were close to home.

We had our wedding reception here and it was absolutely beautiful. The place inside makes you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. Windows have bright light coming in and tables are far apart so your not bumping into the chair behind you. Rit and staff made sure to get everything perfect and running smoothly throughout the reception. The staff is beyond nice and always accommodating for anything you need. The food tastes amazing and so many options are available plus a very reasonable cost per person.

This venue is PERFECT for weddings. Rit and his team make your day exactly as you imagined so effortlessly - they even match their ties to your wedding colors! The food is incredible and we received so many compliments afterward. The venue itself can't be beat in terms of location, views, and ease of access. There's a brand-new hotel within steps of this venue, which makes it perfect for elderly guests who need a rest or those who may not be OK to drive! Rit and his staff understand the stress and overwhelming feeling of a wedding and cater to your needs before you know what they even are! We think, and our guests agreed, that there is no close second in terms of venues. We've been recommending this venue to everyone we know since the day we booked and will continue to do so after everything that Rit and his staff did for us! Wow!!! What can we say. We had our daughters wedding their this past Saturday nite. The Waters Edge Lighthouse was absolutely stunning! Rit, Sue and the staff at the Lighthouse were exceptional! They went above and beyond for us! They were very attentive, professional, accommodating throughout the whole nite and planning process! The grounds and hall were impeccable. The food was out of this world. As well being extremely pleased with the service we were also extremely pleased with the price. Definitely will recommend the venue to others. Can't \" Thank\" them enough.

I recently attended a cousin's wedding that was held here. It was a great night. The food was delicious! The cocktail hour had very tasty stations set up on the dance floor, but it was also nice to have servers walking around passing hot and cold hors d'oeuvres. Dinner was great too. My fiance and I both got steak, which was tasty and tender. As for ambiance, the view from the patio was beautiful. It was a nice summer day and you can sit out with a drink in hand and enjoy the view of the river. The service was great, they quickly replaced a knife that had dropped on the floor at my table, and were very prompt with coffee service, which was much needed since my fiance and I were dancing all night. I liked the venue so much I've booked it for my own wedding in 10/2017! They will also have an onsite hotel done by the time we have our own wedding, which really was an added bonus when choosing this venue as my fiance's family and many of our friends are from out of state.

My husband and I got married at the Terrace on 8/15/15 and wouldn't have had it any other way! We knew it was the one for us from the moment we visited. Lets start with Rit and Sue who made planning extremely easy; You really can't beat the price or location overlooking the river; The banquet staff were so attentive and friendly; and the FOOD.... was to die for. I hear that a lot of brides don't find the time to enjoy the food but you don't want to miss out on the deliciousness; I made sure I didn't! Our guests still rave about it all to this day. A huge thank you to everyone at Waters Edge who made our special day so perfect! We'd recommend this venue (and restaurant) to anyone!

We held our rehearsal dinner here. We originally booked the freedom patio outside, am were told the indoor banquet hall would also stay reserved for us in case the weather was bad that night. It ended up being rainy and cold the night of the rehearsal dinner, and they impressed us with their indoor location. The food (we chose banquet style) was so delicious, there was plenty of food, and the waitresses on duty were so amazingly helpful. My father in law has celiacs disease and can not eat gluten, and they were quick to tell him what he could eat on the banquet as well as make him his own special dinner! Everything about our diner here was perfect, and I would highly recommend it for others looking for rehearsal dinner venues!

The Water's Edge Lighthouse was amazing, and I loved working with them!\r\rThey were easy to work with ahead of time via phone and email. My parents, husband, and I went there to try the food one day, just before we secured the venue for our rehearsal dinner, and the food was delicious. They were so kind, and took us on a tour of their 2 rehearsal dinner spaces. Because of the number of guests, we had to be in the Terrace (which is so beautiful!). \r\rThe day of the rehearsal dinner, they treated my then fiancé and I like a king and queen. They made sure we had a drink in hand, asked if we had enough to eat, and they even let us take some food to go for my husband's grandfather, who couldn't make it to the dinner. They don't actually allow that, so it was very sweet of them to let us take a few containers to go. \r\rWhen we left that night, we had that strange feeling we were forgetting something. We were getting married at The Glen Sanders Mansion the next day, so we were worried we wouldn't have time to pick anything up. They let us know that if they found anything, they would bring it over to the mansion personally to be sure we had everything we needed. So sweet!\r\rThe staff is great, and I would definitely recommend them for your big day, for your rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, baby shower, or anything else! True joy to work with such lovely people. :) They make your day a breeze!

I no longer live in New York state and came across this location on the internet. I called them and the people there were so personable and wanting to make my wedding a day to remember. The pictures on the website don't do justice because it is such more beautiful in person. When I finally got to NY to be able to go look at it and meet the staff I was just blown away about how nice everything looked and how friendly the staff was. I wanted a outdoor wedding that over looked a body of water and this place had it because it overlooked the Mohawk River. The day I got married the weather was perfect and the event planner even wore colors that went with my wedding theme. \r The food there is out of this world. I had a sit down dinner and everyone's food came out all in a timely manner and it was all hot. If you want a outdoor wedding and not break the bank this is the place for you.
