My husband and I were lucky enough to get married at The Waters Point in November. As everyone knows, weddings are a big investment of your time, money, and energy. The venue you choose is integral to whether that investment feels worthwhile amd trustworthy. We toured a number of venues in the Austin area that treated us like just another number and left no room for personalization throughout the wedding planning process. The Waters Point clearly stood out in this regard. From the very beginning we were treated with immense care and dignity and were never shamed for the many questions and personal requests we had along the way. The customizable packages that TWP offers are unlike anything else we came across in the saturated wedding industry and truly allowed us to have a wedding that reflected our personal values and traditions. Special shoutout to Ashley, our wedding coordinator, who went above and beyond her call of duty to ensure that our events went off without a hitch. We told her that if she didn't have such a calling for wedding planning she'd make a damn good therapist! Her emotional support along the way, especially the day of, put our whole wedding party at ease. She is worth her weight in gold and is just a joy to work with. Shoutout to Natalie and Kerri as well for handling all of the moving parts and helping our vendors integrate so seamlessly. TWP is simply a beautiful and memorable place to be married and spend quality time with your loved ones, rain or shine! It is intimate, humble, and nature-filled. Its beauty speaks for itself and guests can really feel that. We are extremely grateful to have been married at TWP and highly recommend it to couples seeking a special and meaningful experience. My husband and I recently got married at The Waters Point and can’t say enough good things about the venue, staff, food and on-site accommodations. Everyone was so helpful and made planning our wedding so easy. Ashley was our day-of coordinator and she did an incredible job preparing us for the big day and keeping us organized the whole weekend. The chef did an incredible job preparing the meals for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding. I also loved the selection of on-site rentals the Waters Point provided. We got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was. There were many great photography spots all over the property. Lastly, our wedding party and family stayed on site at the cabins and it made the wedding weekend flow so smoothly. The cabins are very nice and the bridesmaid cabin was such a fun and beautiful place to get ready in. We can’t wait to go back and spend a weekend at the Waters Point again soon. We loved the employees and aesthetics. We had our wedding here on sunday 11/7/21 and now that is the best wedding we have ever been to! Natalie, the owner, and Amanda, the coordinator, were so great! Even when there were hiccups, they were extremely accommodating and communicative. We had about 80 people invited and went with one of their all inclusive packages which was a payment per person vs paying for everything separately. It included all the main items like food, alcohol, seating, linen, utensils/plates, bar tenders, servers, set up, take down, and day of coordinator. Its a little more expensive, but i HIGHLY recommend going this route because it allowed us to genuinely enjoy our day plus planning was a breeze (besides parents trying to invite everybody and their mother, but waters point cant help you with that lol) We chose to have the ceremony down by the river vs at the canopy since it fit our personality more (fyi, there are extra charges to have it down by the river). We received so many compliments on the food and floral (Cindy is the florist through waters point). The only outside vendors we had was our photographer, videographer, and hair/makeup. We also stayed the night at the cabins on site which were big and very clean. It was such a great weekend that my parents are looking to renew their vows here. Can’t thank them enough! However their cabins need considerable help, for $250 per night it was certainly not worth the money. We stayed in Cabins 8 and 10, both were dirty, Cabin 10 had dead roaches, rat dropping on the mini ironing board. No dressers for clothes, closets were an alcove with PVC pipes. Brides cabin was perfect, grooms cabin also dirty. You also need to have your cabin ready for the cleaning crews, wash all your dishes (no dish washer), strip the beds, take out the trash. Not as chic, and bedrooms are upstairs so I had to do some guest shuffling since I had planned to put grandparents in those cabins. Almost every vendor this venue recommended was also spot on. They really knew their stuff! Getting the downtime the weekend before the wedding to have guests lay in the river or fish or go into town and go shopping was also a major plus! No one felt rushed! Allie Ferguson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-04-2017 I can't say enough great things about The Waters Point. Between the beautiful scenery and the very helpful staff, I don't think it can get any better than this! My husband and I got married about a month ago and it was a dream! When we went to tour the venue, we were amazed at the beauty and the background of the property and that is what sold us. We were originally thinking about eloping or having a destination wedding so we would not have to plan as much (even-though I have always dreamed of a local wedding with all my friends and family) but I am so glad we did not go that route. From the beginning, Natalie and Kat were so easy to work with and beyond accommodating. They made the planning process very easy and not stressful at all! We rented the venue for the day, and then decided to have our family and wedding party stay on site in the cabins for the weekend. This was a blessing in disguise and was probably one of the best features of the site that we didn't appreciate until the wedding came. We thought it would be convenient, but we had so much fun the entire weekend that we are already planning our next trip just to stay the weekend in the cabins! My husband and his groomsmen/closest friends absolutely loved the river backdrop and spent every chance they could in the water. The wedding day could have been a disaster, but it ended up perfect. There was 80% chance of rain (didn't end up raining a drop), and my mom and I both got severely dehydrated (drink plenty of water the days leading up to your wedding) and couldn't oversee the decorating. We had planned all of the decorations and when we both got sick, I didn't think there was a chance that it would come out how I wanted. The Waters Point team listened to me and gave my husband and I the wedding of our dreams! Kat was very helpful throughout the process of planning and accommodating to my busy work schedule. I knew I wanted a day-of-coordinator but didn't realize what a great value Kat was! It was so nice having a coordinator that knew the venue inside and out instead of someone who has only seen it a handful of times before the wedding. At no point did she seem panicked or stressed, she just kept telling me \"Allie, I will handle it, you shouldn't worry\". At the time, this was hard because I am very hands-on, but it was so nice to have someone to set my nerves at ease. Everything turned out as close to perfect as it could have been for our wedding. The backdrop, the over-accommodating staff, wonderful friends and family all gave my husband and I the wedding of our dreams! If you can't tell, we are so happy we chose The Waters Point for our wedding and can't wait to visit this amazing venue for a summer getaway and hopefully our anniversary destination! Brittany Alderman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-11-2018 I'll update my review after my actual wedding at Waters Point (Nov 2018), but for now I can say I absolutely love this venue. The venue owner, Natalie, is such a nice person and very down to earth. We must've gone on a dozen venue tours in and around the Austin area, and the second we toured Waters Point we fell in love. One of the biggest factors for us was not only the absolutely gorgeous property (located on the Blanco River), but the flexibility to pick and choose all of our own vendors without being required to use certain ones. For us this was huge, especially considering other venues we saw forced you to use their meal/floral/beverage vendors at a ridiculously high mark-ups with limited flexibility in terms of selection. I also love that there's overnight lodging at Waters Point (huge plus!) and the fact that they are within walking distance to the square, which will provide additional entertainment for our guests the day before/after our wedding.
