The Westin BWI was perfect for our wedding! Joy Bird was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is very detailed and responsive. Always one step ahead! I am super OCD and I ask a lot of questions. She never came off bothered or annoyed which is appreciated as weddings can be stressful. She even got down on her knees and bustled by dress when no one else could figure it out lol. She was present for everything and visible and helping pre wedding, during, and even after. Joy is super honest; there was a billing mix up and she let me know right away and credited me back the money; that kind of honesty is rare. The staff was all super friendly and polite from the bartenders to the servers. Kathrine was also amazing to work with for coordinating the room blocks. The package was perfect for our budget and the cake came out amazing. If i had to say one thing wasn't perfect I would say the food was definitely better at the tasting but it wasn't bad at the wedding and understandably with feeding that amount of people at one time. Everyone had an amazing time and I heard zero complaints. I would definitely recommend The Westin BWI for a wedding venue.

A word of caution, do not have your wedding at Westin BWI. In early June we had our wedding and reception with roughly 325 guests. Since we had an Indian wedding, it was imperative that we have strong coordination between the venue and our vendors. Unfortunately, we were severely disappointed by Julie Woods-Clark and most of the venue staff. Here’s why:-Lack of communication from Julie Woods-Clark between the vendors and us, which almost led to the baraat vendor canceling (an important part of an Indian wedding). She was non-responsive to most emails a month leading up to the wedding. Also, we were unaware that she would miss the reception completely and was not assigned a new point of contact.-The event was severely understaffed. Several guests asked the staff to bring out more plates, utensils, and water for all meals. -Information we discussed at the walk-through was not carried out at the event. For example: incorrect number of tables, smaller dance floor, and a soda station that was promised.To debrief and reconcile our horrific experience, we met with the General Manager, Jeff Makhlouf. In our meeting, we were met with defensiveness from his staff. Afterwards, it is clear he still has not grasped the extent of his staff’s mistakes nor taking full responsibility.Save yourself the time, stress, and money.

I had my wedding at the The Westin BWI in April 2018 and it was simply amazing! Shira was a great help through the process every step of the way, and I can honestly say that my day was everything I could have dreamed it would be!

Great venue! They were very reasonable and accommodating. The space is all yours for the event because they only have one ballroom and they were very easy to work with.
