The Westin Chicago Northwest is a wedding venue located in Itasca, IL. Conveniently situated near OâHare International Airport and the Woodfield Mall, this hotel is an accessible destination for out-of-town guests and locals alike. 10/10 recommend The Westin Chicago Northwest for your wedding! We had our wedding in the Lakeside Pavilion and it was so beautiful. We worked with Aileen to plan our wedding and she went above and beyond to make sure the planning process was smooth. She promptly answered all my questions and was a great resource overall. The food & drinks were phenomenal, we received so many compliments from our guests! I wish we could live the day over again.

She was extremely thoughtful and responsive to all our many, many emails with questions. She seemlessly worked with our vendors and helped troubleshoot issues. Monica truly cares about making your day special and will help settle any concerns you have. Our guests were well taken care of and everyone commented on the quality of food. As for a venue, the hotel is very nice and well located for our mainly out of town guests who flew into O'Hare. The Lakeside tent was gorgeous and romantic. Our guests enjoyed the hotel and the quality beds. We were very, very happy with our experience with Westin. Thank you Monica for helping make our day so special!! 5 Stars for going above and beyond.

She made everything so smooth and easy for me, not only leading up to the wedding but the day of as well. My husband and I got married at The Westin in Itasca in July 2022. We worked closely with Aileen and she was wonderful! She was super responsive and great to work with. The Westin is a beautiful hotel so we knew that it was the perfect place for our wedding. We had our reception in the tent and it was incredible! We were very happy with the decor and how spacious it is. The food was also really great. Our guests couldn't stop talking about it! Overall, we are very pleased with our experience at The Westin. I would definitely recommend it to others.

The Westin is a beautiful hotel so we knew that it was the perfect place for our wedding. We had our reception in the tent and it was incredible! We were very happy with the decor and how spacious it is. The food was also really great. Our guests couldn't stop talking about it! Overall, we are very pleased with our experience at The Westin. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Food and Beverage was the most utmost importance of our big day and the Westin did not disappoint! We chose the Grand Beginnings package for our wedding so we received four course meal, top shelf, appetizers during cocktail hour, and wine during dinner service. One of our biggest concerns was ensuring we got to actually eat apps during cocktail hour! Obviously couples on their big day are mingling with others and will be starving. (We go married in a church so it was a very long day for us) We were ecstatic to find apps at our table after we were announced as the new Mr & Mrs! Overall the food was 10/10! We had quite a few food allergies and those were all accommodated. We also had last minute table changes from unexpected guests and those were made with a breeze. I do not remember meeting my banquet captain, but my day-of coordinators that I hired said that he was fabulous. All the servers were extremely professional. I have zero complaints about them. We were really happy choosing the Westin and working with Monica! I worked with her from the very beginning, and she always answered all of my emails. I only met Eileen once, but she was very nice and professional as well. We strongly recommend this venue. We mainly chose this venue since it was attached to the Westin and we had a lot of out of town guests. It worked out quite well for guests to not drink and drive as well. My only con was that guests were walking in the venue before they were allowed to.This part of the review has NO reflection of the banquet staff or the Event Sales Department. We made a block for our wedding guests to get discounted pricing. You have to book with the Marriott Hotline for rooms and not the actual hotel. This is due to the fact that the Westin is a larger hotel. Unfortunately the hotel lost my family members reservation twice and my block was full. Monica stepped in and extended my block which was awesome. However it was a pain for some people booking. My family member was told her 2 and 4 year old children would be charged as adults, but when I talked to the front desk in person, the front desk attendant assured me that was incorrect. This was frustrating for some of my family members that were not clearly communicated with about this policy. Upon check in (day before our wedding) there was no valet or luggage carts. I had to fight for a luggage cart. Check in time was 3 PM and my room was not ready. They had to call cleaning service to get it ready. This was a bit frustrating due to the fact my rehearsal at church was @ 5 PM and I had to wait for my room and then I had to still get ready. Once I entered my room, there was still trash in the kitchen from previous guests. The bathroom also had some personal belongings from the previous guests. The day of the wedding it took 30 minutes to get more bathroom towels. 2 Elevators were also broken out of the 4. I had a complimentary suite for the night of the wedding. I also booked the suite the night before so I can get ready at the hotel the morning of. For how much money you spend at the venue, you wouldn't expect getting charge for another night. You also get points for having your wedding there which is awesome! But for how much you spend, you only get about one free night at a resort and have to purchase MORE points in order to use your points from your wedding. At least that it was the hotline told us. We wanted to use these points for our honeymoon, will be using for another time before expiration.

We used the Westin for our hotel room block. We had to postpone our wedding due to covid, so I worked with a few people over the 2 year process. Audrey was the one that took care of everything towards the end. She was so helpful with the room block logistics, our welcome bags, and even ensuring our bridal suite had tall chairs for hair and makeup along with a full length mirror. Overall, this is a great place for a hotel room block - especially if you are having your reception at Itasca Country Club. Thank you so much Audrey!!

The Westin Chicago Northwest is the ideal spot for a wedding. Ours was in December, so the lobby was decorated and the tent had a Christmas tree and fireplace to add to the ambiance. Aileen is one of the easiest people to work with. She truly knows the workings of the hotel and planning weddings. She answered our questions extremely quickly and throughly. She was present for our wedding and helped to direct the other vendors, our wedding party, and my husband and I. I canât say enough good things about her! For food, we ended up going with the combo meal since it was the same cost as the other options. This made our lives so much easier since we didnât have to worry about people RSVPing with specific meal preferences unless they were vegetarian, gluten free, etc. The food was PHENOMENAL! We got so many comments about how much people liked the combo of the filet and cranberry chicken. Appetizers were also amazing, but we didnât really have a chance to get any! The cake is from Lovin Oven, so really, what could be better?! Overall, we are still on cloud 9 and we truly owe that to the Westin. Everything went so smoothly, which with Covid, canât always be guaranteed! Iâd recommend this venue to ANYONE! đ

We had our daughter's wedding at the Westin Chicago Northwest on NYE , Dec 31, 2021. My daughter, son-in-law and my husband and I worked with Monica. One of the best experiences we have had dealing with an event coordinator . Monica listened to what we had to say, especially the bride and was very professional and accommodating to everyone. We had to navigate through many changes due to the Pandemic and I will honestly say Monica and the Westin hotel were very understanding. The venue itself was stunning and every expectation was met or exceeded. We appreciate the time, patience, professionalism and care that Monica and her staff provided on our daughters wedding day !! The food at the reception was amazing and the venue space , regardless of whatever room you chose was clean and spacious. We highly recommend this venue space for your special event. Thanks Monica!!

Completely professional and experienced staff (not to mention beautiful venue also). Monica did an amazing job. She was extremely helpful, quick to respond to any of our questions, and did an amazing job coordinating all of our vendors (DJ, lights, flooring, florist) the day of the wedding. The reception space looked amazing and we didn't need to stress over any of it. The banquet staff was also great and friendly. Most important, the food was also delicious. Many of our guest told us that was best food they had at a wedding. The only complaint I had was I wish they gave us the changing rooms for a longer period of time. We had to move all our stuff out of the wedding by 7 pm. Besides that everything else was well done and would highly recommend them to anyone else who wants a great wedding experience.

Monica was amazing to work with and always responded quickly to any questions I had. It was pretty expensive - we wished there was a way to create your own package rather than pick from the three the hotel offers - but overall we were very satisfied with the quality of the food/venue and would definitely recommend this space!

When we booked with her she made sure we understood every part of our contract and ensured us that everything we wanted on our special day would be handled. Aileen was quick to answer any questions we had leading up to the wedding day. On our actual day, Monica was there to coordinate everything for us and it was everything we asked for. The space is absolutely stunning (lakeshore pavilion) and we received so many compliments on how beautiful the wedding and the hotel was. We could not have asked for a better day or better people to work with. Highly recommended!

After touring 5 venues, my daughter and her husband chose the Westin Chicago Northwest. They invited us to their second tour and we quickly decided that we wanted to have the wedding there. We had family coming from Europe and wanted them to see the best that the Chicago area offers for weddings. Weddings that we have been invited to there were over the top so we wanted to make the same impression. Monica and Aileen were with us every step of the way. Monica gave us great recommendations and we used all of them. Every question we asked was answered quickly. The food was delicious. Monica explained all the different options available and gave recommendations on package choices and additional options such as h'doeuvres and midnite snacks. All the recommended vendors did a wonderful job. We would highly recommend the Westin if you want your dreams to come true!

Our wedding was at this venue and we were so pleased with everything. Aileen was amazing to work with and listened to my many concerns as I am a very picky bride. Every question we had was quickly answered by Monica. She helped lend a knowledgeable hand when we were looking for guidance. The staff on wedding day was so attentive, from the servers to the bartenders, everyone was amazing. They helped me set up my décor as well as take it down at the end of the night. They even helped load my car with the décor the following morning. The food was outstanding-everyone at our wedding commented on how delicious it was. The room speaks for itself-gorgeous. I would recommend this venue to anyone who I cam in contact with.

My husband and I loved the tent space and secured it for our special day. Our on-site ceremony was by the willow tree on-site, overlooking a beautiful pond. Monica was our Wedding Specialist. She made the process stress free for us! She was very knowledgeable with every detail of the wedding planning process, provided excellent recommendations throughout when choosing our table placements, seating, reception dinner items, etc. She even made sure to have a ceremony space set up inside just in case the weather was not suitable for outside. We had our wedding in the Pavillion tent and it was so beautiful! We worked with Monica throughout the process and she was amazing. She was very timely and prompt in all of her responses to my many questions. In addition, they were very flexible. Unfortunately we did not have great weather but really wanted our cocktail hour outside. We made a last minute decision when we arrived to pull it inside and they were so accommodating it was changed without a problem! All of the staff was very friendly and attentive throughout the reception. In addition all the decoration was set up perfectly! The only negative throughout the process was the hotel. It was very difficult to determine how many people made reservations as people who booked through Marriott with points could not be added into the block. I made welcome bags for my guests staying at the hotel to be passed out upon check in. I emailed the hotel a list of people to include in the block and who should receive a welcome bag which included a breakfast voucher. However, only half of the bags were passed out and I know there were way more people staying so most of my guests did not receive there bag and breakfast voucher I had prepaid for :(

Wedding planning can be stressful but the Westin and our coordinator, Sheree, helped make it enjoyable and easier. My husband and I are so glad we picked this venue! The food was amazing, our guests all had an amazing time, and it was conveniently located. We did have a little trouble with getting more roomS for our room block but there were a few weddings the same weekend. Either way they helped us get as many as we could and it all worked out. The Westin was the best! We knew after our first meeting after walking out that was our place! We saw over 20 venues from Elgin to Downers Grove and even Chicago! I wanted a place where it was just as beautiful outside as inside so we didn't have to go anywhere else after the church for pictures, and of course the food had to be 5 stars! Westin delivered! Best bang for your buck and not to mention the exquisite grounds for stunning pictures. I also hated the feeling of being in walls for my wedding, the tent was exceptional so different, elegant, classy and romantic! We had the most beautiful and fun wedding, our family still talks about and we were married last year 2018! And of course cannot forget Sherre out wedding coordinator at Westin she made all our dreams come true from beginning to end Sherre was the most professional, fun, fun-loving, caring and personable coordinator! We are so pleased with our experience having our wedding at the Westin! From our first tour to the wedding night every planning appointment was so easy and working with Monica was a dream. We had our reception in the tent and the ceremony and cocktail hour were held outside. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and were the prefect backdrop to have the outdoor parts of our evening. There were so many awesome locations to take photos at, making the evening so seamless because we didn't need to travel anywhere else to have great photo spots. The food and drinks were amazing. The bartenders were great and handled our guests efficiently. The food was to die for. I know everyone tries to brag about their wedding food when most wedding food is not good, but I cannot emphasize enough how delicious the wedding food was. We have had SO many compliments on the food. Everything was cooked perfectly and I would return to this location just to have that meal again. The hotel room block was also very accommodating and we have had no complaints from any of our guests about their rooms. We had a lot of people stay the night and everyone was very happy with their experience. Another bonus with this venue is that they offered a location for us to have an after party after our reception ended. This was an awesome way for our guests to continue to party but in a more relaxed setting and this actually gave us (bride and groom) time to socialize after dancing for literally the entire night. And by having a separate space for that we didn't have to do this in our hotel room like I have seen at other weddings we have attended. Overall would 100% pick this venue again and would recommend it to everyone!

We had our wedding reception on 9/9/18 at the lakeside pavilion. We absolutely loved the place the ambiance of the tent was so magical. Sheree Slupski was our point of contact and I couldnât have asked for anyone better. She was very helpful throughout the whole process. She was very efficient and made sure our day went smoothly. On the day of she made sure everything was to our liking and her whole staff and team made sure there were no hiccups in our event. The whole staff was very accommodating and nice. I would definitely recommend the Westin to any new couples looking to find a memorable venue to make their day special. đ

The Westin was the only place that we visited and it felt perfect for us. When we visited the lakeside tent, we knew right away that is what we wanted. The scenery was beautiful, the hotel is nice with a huge lobby, and the suite which we had comped on our wedding night was one of the best that we have seen. Working with Sheree was amazing. She was a great communicator and we felt like she did everything that she could and some to accommodate us. We got married and had our reception here on Memorial Day weekend, so we felt like the Westin could have had a \"take it or leave it\" attitude if they wanted because they would of had no problem reserving the tent for another wedding. That's not how it was at all though. When we would request certain things, Sheree would accommodate immediately. Some things she had to check on, but we were never denied those requests right away. She would do what she could to get it done, or find an alternate option if it came down to it. She was very quick with her replies and very easy to work with. She made everyone during the process feel comfortable. Next, onto the food. Food at weddings is always mediocre in my opinion. The food at the Westin was amazing. The amount of options to choose from was unbelievable. The alcohol selection was impressive as well including craft beers from the local brewery Church Street. Our cake was included in the package and it tasted amazing. We were sent to the bakery that made the cake to taste several different combinations and pick the one that we liked best. Again, the variety was very impressive! We were also invited to several different appetizer tastings with drinks included to meet with different vendors. This was something nice and different to do during the planning process. We highly recommend the Westin Chicago Northwest for your reception, and we STRONGLY encourage you to ask for Sheree to work with! We cannot stress enough how amazing she was!

I have to say that Aileen was absolutely incredible. She was extremely organized and made the day run so smoothly. The venue was decorated as we had envisioned, the food was amazing, the wait staff was efficient, the views were to die for, etc etc. However, we had a slight mishap with the front desk which resulted in two of my sisters (I was the bride) losing their rooms because the conference scheduled at the hotel had guests who didnât check out. Therefore, we lost rooms from our wedding block (which was the reason we picked the venue since we had majority out of town guests) as well as lost rooms the day/night of the wedding itself.

I don't even know where to begin with the Westin. We got married on May 25, 2018. From start to finish, we had the BEST experience. Our coordinator was Sheree Slupski and we had our ceremony outside in front of the willow tree and our reception in the Lakeside Pavilion. I was impressed with the Westin from the minute we walked in and took our tour. It kind of worried me to book a wedding at a venue without tasting the food, but once we got to the tasting I was blown away. Every single thing was absolutely delicious and it made it hard to chose what we wanted to eat! Even on the day of the wedding I thought the food may not be as good since they make so much more at that point. I was wrong again, every person's steak was cooked perfectly and I got endless compliments on the food. My only regret is that I didn't finish my plate! The bakery they are connected with is also amazing. The cake tasted super fresh and moist on the day of the wedding. Sheree was super helpful throughout the entire process. As I am a wedding photographer myself, I am very particular and knew exactly how I wanted my day to run. She always answered my emails promptly and answered every question I asked (which was many!!). On the day of, we hit very few bumps in the road, all of which were taken care of by Sheree and the staff immediately. Somehow between the rehearsal and the reception, the selfie stick I had placed on a table next to our \"selfie station\" went missing. During dinner, Sheree drove to a nearby Walmart to buy a new one!! I was so impressed and grateful. Many of our family members told us how much they loved the staff and some of them even gave them tips they thought they were so great. I actually photographed a wedding there a few weeks after my own and some of the staff remembered me and asked how I was. It was so sweet! Bottom line: Definitely book at the Westin! It may seem pricey to some, but so much is included in their packages, it's well worth every penny!! :D

I got married June 15 in the lakeside pavilion. It was everything I dreamed of. The ceremony was outside and it was a gourgeous evening. Everyone was raving about the food, the venue, and the staff. They went above and beyond and bent over backwards to make sure that we were happy and that our reception vision came to life. There is not a thing we wouldâve changed about our wedding night. We got married on August 19th and The Westin Chicago Northwest was the PERFECT venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. We had a lot of out of town guests so the fact that everyone could stay in one location made it so convenient for them. Our ceremony took place outside and it was such a beautiful setting. We had our cocktail hour on the patio and our reception was in the Lakeside Pavilion. I wanted a tented feel so the fact that we were able to have that but also have air conditioning was the icing on the cake! The Lakeside Pavilion is so unique because each bride can truly make it their own. Every wedding I have seen in the pavilion looks so different and the all white canvas allows each couple to make it a reflection of them. The food was also AMAZING! We added late night snacks and the strawberry infusion bar and are so thankful we did! Our guests still rave about it all! We've heard from multiple people that it was the best food they have had at a wedding. We worked with Aileen throughout the process and she was very helpful with all of our questions and needs. I couldn't recommend The Westin Chicago Northwest more - I truly think it is such an amazing venue and am so happy that we chose to have our special day there!

We had both our ceremony & reception at the Westin and to say it was perfect is an understatement. Monica Guzik was extremely responsive and made the planning process so simple as we got closer to (and on) the big day! Our wedding guests continued to comment that the catering staff was extremely efficient & the food (cocktail hour, dinner & late night snacks) was phenomenal; the best they'd ever had at a wedding. I must say I agree. The food tasted the exact same as it did when we went for our tasting a few months back. The Lakeside Pavilion was set up exactly how I envisioned. Even though it was a cold & rainy day, we were able to take pictures outside - the grounds are AMAZING and provide so many different options & scenery for your backdrop. Some of our favorite spots were the bridge, the basketball court (a few of my maids & I played together in college), and underneath the weeping willow tree. The hotel lobby & guest rooms were also recently remodeled. It made our out of town guests feel like they were staying at a 5-star resort. Some were even lucky enough to have a view of the Chicago skyline! Also, the bride & groom each received their own \"getting ready\" room the day of the wedding. The set up was PERFECT for those who want to have a hair & makeup team come to the hotel. We cannot thank the Westin Chicago Northwest staff enough. Our day was beyond perfect & we are so thankful to have found you!

We had our reception at in the Lakeside Pavilion tent for 230 people on October 14. Throughout the entire planning process, Sheree Slupski was incredible. She was a quick and effective communicator, and always answered my multitude of questions and concerns with a generous and helpful spirit. The staff was wonderful the entire week of the wedding, allowing us to drop off anything we wanted beforehand, setting up our tables and linens as soon as they could, and were so helpful when my family and friends set up our décor, etc. Sheree and the entire staff made sure every detail was perfect. We were very impressed with the service we received at our tasting, from Sheree along the way, and on our wedding night. The food and bar package are very solid, especially considering just how large-scale the catering has to be. We received SO many compliments on our venue, food, and service. It just so happened that our wedding night became the wettest October day in history (10.9 inches of rain in Itasca!), but the tent and staff held up and kept us all dry and dancing the night away. Sheree checked in with my husband and I periodically through the night to keep us posted on the time, the weather, and to be sure we were happy - during cocktail hour she even met us with our fave drinks in hand, because she noticed we hadn't gotten to the bar yet! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue and working with Sheree to anyone looking to get married in the Chicago area.

I have nothing but good things to say about our wedding reception at the Westin Chicago Northwest. We held our reception in the Lakeside Pavilion and it was absolutely beautiful. Everything leading up the wedding (communication, tastings, meetings, etc) went super smooth and everything the night of went as planned. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the food, the bar service, and the physical space. Everything was truly perfect. The coordinator was also able to make some great recommendations for vendors (florist, dj, etc) and all of those worked out great. The hotel rooms were also very nice and super affordable.I would 100% recommend this location for a wedding.

We had our reception in the pavilion on 7/8/17. Aileen did an INCREDIBLE job. We had a lot of vendors and a lot of details to execute and everything went off without a hitch. I am a type-A planner and Aileen was very kind and patient and supportive of all of our ideas and requests. We had our cocktail hour on the terrace, spilling over to the lawn and lake and it was just gorgeous. We received lots of compliments on the food (ravioli appetizer was a particular hit) and the service in general was great. The after party in the bar was also a huge success and a seamless transition from the dancing in the pavilion. I highly recommend the Westin as a wedding venue. It was an added bonus that all our out-of-town guests could stay onsite for a very affordable rate. Aileen stayed late into the evening to ensure everything ran smoothly. I could not be more appreciative of the staff & Aileen's assistance in making our wedding the most perfect day.

We had our wedding at The Westin Chicago Northwest on 4/8/2017. It truly was the best day ever. The hotel was accommodating to our guests arriving early for rehearsal on Friday and allowing late checkout on Sunday. Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were located at the hotel. I loved that our guests didn't have to travel. We worked with Sheree and she was great. Answered any and all questions we had and made sure all our visions were going to happen the day off. The food and bar was great and we heard that from several guests. We had a lot of late night snacks but the cotton candy station was by far the hit of the night. I am so happy with our experience with Sheree, MaryAnn and the rest of the Westin staff.

We had our wedding at The Westin Chicago Northwest on 4/8/2017. It truly was the best day ever. We had our wedding reception at the Westin Chicago Northwest Lakeside Pavilion in August 2016. We were blessed with amazing weather so we took full advantage of the beautiful outdoors surrounding the venue. We worked with Sheree Slupski at the Westin and she was AMAZING throughout the process. Literally one of the nicest people I've ever met and she made the entire process so simple for us. The staff did an excellent job at our reception and everything went off without a hitch. We had our wedding reception at the Westin Chicago Northwest Lakeside Pavilion in August 2016. We were blessed with amazing weather so we took full advantage of the beautiful outdoors surrounding the venue. We worked with Sheree Slupski at the Westin and she was AMAZING throughout the process. When planning wedding the location for the reception is one of the first major decisions to be made. Choosing the Westin Chicago Northwest should be high on your list. Our event was held 11/12 in the Lakeside Pavilion and we could not have been more please with how everything went. From our very first meeting, through the Sunday morning brunch, our primary contact Amanda was amazing. She listened to everything we wanted, followed up on all our questions and made some exceptional suggestions. As a result, everything was ran smoothly and was beautifully done. The food at the tasting wonderful - the only issue being that everything tasted so good it was hard decide what to eliminate. We were certain what we finally choose would be good at the reception, but expected that it would not be as good as the tasting - it is easier to make great food for 6 people than it is for 250. We were pleasantly surprised that the food at the reception was as good if not better than at the tasting. Our guests raved about their dinner, the service and especially about the mini cheese burgers served as a late night snack.I was concerned that having the party in the Pavilion would be like having it in a giant balloon, but the room was beautiful, the temperature was well maintained and the separation from the main part of the building provided a feeling of both privacy and intimacy that was extremely comfortable.We had a wonderful suite where we invited many of our guests to stop by between the wedding and the reception (there was a three hour break so the kids could spend time going to different locations for pictures). At one time we had more than 25 people milling around and there was still room to spare. When we came back from the reception, the trash we had set out had been collected.A number of our guests stayed he night and everyone we have spoken with said their room was very comfortable and they had gotten a good night's rest.We decided to have a Sunday brunch for the people that had stayed in the hotel. We were give a discounted rate on the prepaid tickets and the hotel set up a reserved space for our guests close to the buffet. It was a wonderful place to sit, talk and say our final farewells all while enjoying a generous selection of food and a very attentive wait staff.We could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. Everyone we worked with at the Westin made us feel like we were their most important customer and that our happiness was their highest consideration. I would strongly recommend this location if you want to have an event to remember (for all the right things)!

My wife and I had our wedding and reception here on August 13th of 2016. We had the ceremony outdoors, and the reception was in the tent. It was so beautiful. It was the perfect backdrop to our special day. Amanda helped us along every step of the way and easily handled the dozens of changes we made along the way. The entire hotel staff was polite and well dressed. The food is outstanding. The cotton candy bar was a complete hit! All of our guests were pleased and have had endless compliments on how fun and scenic the entire day was. Getting married was the most stress we have ever had to deal with, but this venue in no way added to that, and only made numerous steps along the way easier for us!

We had our wedding in July 2016, and everything went exceptionally well. Amanda did an incredible job with our accommodations and early frustrations with specific things we wanted. They accommodated the exact bar package we were looking for, and went above and beyond on the day of. We had a hiccup with some of our guests and booking hotel rooms, but the hotel took care of things. Also, the amount of compliments we received on the food was overwhelming but it made my family very happy. The tent was set up with so much beauty that is was honestly breathtaking walking into it. What makes it so great, is that our guest and my husband and I are still talking about our wedding over 3 months later, and we hope that continues to happen. I would recommend anyone to have their wedding in the Pavilion at the Westin and also to work with Amanda!

From the day we decided to have our reception at the Westin, up until the night of and everything between, Amanda Hillock was with us every step of the way. My husband and I had our reception in the Lakeside Pavilion on Sept 3rd of this year and we could not be happier with our decision to book with the Westin. Amanda was so great to work with because she made sure to answer all my questions and responded very quickly to all of my emails. We dropped off favors and things to be displayed at the reception the week of and they were all set up exactly how I wanted them to be. On the day of, everything was PERFECT from beginning to end! The hair and makeup artists requested higher chairs for the morning of, so I called down and the staff asked how many I needed and they were brought up immediately. After our ceremony we came back to the Westin for pictures and the scenery looks great in all of our pictures. When I walked into the Pavilion for the first time I was overjoyed because it looked beautiful! All of my guests are still talking about how the food was delicious from beginning to end and how they never had to wait long for a drink at the bar. The staff was also amazing every moment of the night because they were constantly asking my husband and I if we needed anything and they were bringing us drinks, so we never had to go to the bar ourselves. Another thing that I really appreciated was that the food from cocktail hour was left on the head table since the bridal party was not at the cocktail hour for too long. I highly recommend the Lakeside Pavilion if you are looking for the tented look. The way it is draped and the surrounding water and trees make it so beautiful. If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Thank you for making my wedding exactly what I had hoped it would be!

Aileen McKellar is amazing. She is so much fun, but also made sure every detail was covered. She was always available via email and over the phone to answer all of the questions we had along the way. My husband and I used the Westin for our ceremony (which was outside) and reception on June 5, 2016. We were sold on the venue once we had a tour in late fall. We had our wedding in the Lakeside Pavilion in April 2016. Everything went PERFECTLY. It was a fairytale wedding. We did not have too many decorations/lighting simply because the pavilion just did not need much to be GORGEOUS. It was the perfect venue because I was planning the wedding from out of town, and the Westin was all-inclusive - providing appetizers, meals, drinks, and the cake! And like I said, the Pavilion is already so beautiful, I didn't have to worry too much about decorations!I worked closely with Amanda, who was incredibly sweet and accommodating. I was a little worried initially because Amanda had just started working there as the new wedding coordinator, but she proved to be wonderful at her job. She answered all of our questions promptly (even up to the day of the wedding!), and checked on us several times during our wedding to make sure everything was going well! The rest of the staff here was just SUPERB. The bartender came up to our sweetheart table to get us personalized drinks because we didn't have time to get to the bar. The wait staff kept our food warm so that we could eat it later. The late night food was a big hit! All of the food was AMAZING. All of our guests keep raving about the food.. one guest said that it was the \"best steak he had ever had\". Then, after we had been dancing until midnight, we went up to our rooms exhausted, and there, in our complimentary suite, was a bottle of champagne and macarons waiting for us. So sweet! Not to mention our suite had the most gorgeous view!We also bought brunch tickets for our guests the next morning at Shula's, and the food there was spectacular as well.Overall, I would recommend this venue HIGHLY. It's GORGEOUS, and the staff is AMAZING! :) Well worth the cost.

I ALMOST booked my reception venue with this hotel. Working with the event staff at the Westin was TERRIBLE. After several unanswered phone calls, I sent an email and got a response 4-5 days later. We went on our tour on a a Sunday and loved the tent. We told Aileen on Monday that we wanted to book with the venue. Going forward she was impossible to get a hold of to get our questions answered and she almost didn't send us our contract in time to get the 1 week booking reward (you got an incentive to book within 7 days). I decided that to pay the high price for this hotel over other locations was not worth if the sales team wouldn't even be responsive BEFORE they had my business. We told them we were no longer booking with them and went elsewhere. I can't imagine what sort of service we would have gotten after we booked if that is how they treated prospective bride/grooms.

I decided that to pay the high price for this hotel over other locations was not worth if the sales team wouldn't even be responsive BEFORE they had my business. We told them we were no longer booking with them and went elsewhere. I can't imagine what sort of service we would have gotten after we booked if that is how they treated prospective bride/grooms.

We recently had my daughters wedding in the Pavillion at the Westin! It was the perfect decision! Everyone we dealt with was very accomadating. Aileen was our coordinator and she was wonderful to work with. It seemed no request was to big, she took care of everything quickly and pleasantly. Mary Ann was the person in charge of the dining room during the wedding. She was wonderful, extremely attentive to our needs. She kept everything running smoothly. We received nothing but compliments the whole night and beyond for how beautiful the venue was. I did not want the reception in a traditional banquet hall, so this was perfect. It was an easy transition for our guests directly into cocktail hour after the ceremony. \r\rSamantha, our wedding coordinator, was amazing. Having our wedding at the Westin Chicago Northwest was the best decision my husband and I made throughout our entire planning process! Everyone is so hands-on and willing to help with whatever we needed. Most importantly, they were so willing to accommodate and make sure that we both were comfortable with any decision that we made. We had our wedding reception inside the pavillion, and even though it was a week ago, people are still blown away by how beautiful the venue was! I am so happy I chose to have my wedding at the Westin! I saw probably 13 different venues before we made our decision, and before we even walked in the door we knew it was THE place. First of all, it is beautiful and perfect looking and could hold our huge wedding without feeling crammed. We booked with Samantha and began the planning process. I did not have a wedding planner so at times it was stressful. However Samantha was very quick to respond to my emails/questions whenever I had any and always had AWESOME recommendations for other vendors. Besides the fact that I didn't have an actual planner, I am not a person that had \"a vision\" of what I always imagined my wedding day to be, so I put a lot of faith into those that were helping me. Samantha and Patti from MDM Entertainment (the vendor Samantha recommended for DJ/decor) put together the most gorgeous room!! We were in shock when we saw how gorgeous the Grand Ballroom was that day. It was awesome to have my 2 big vendors work so closely together! Besides how smoothly the night went, and how beautiful the room and hotel was, the food was outstanding!! My number one priority was the food and alcohol and the Westin did not disappoint! Overall, we had a perfect night and I would definitely recommend the Westin.

I can understand why, as the lakeside pavilion was a beautiful location. I had actually had dinner in the tent several times before as I used to run an annual summer workshop for youth at this hotel (always a great experience). I can tell from other reviews that my former contact, Samantha, still works here, and I can attest to her exceptional customer service. I was curious as to what a reception would be like (vs. a hamburger dinner for teens) and it was fabulous. The tent, table arrangements, and sweetheart table looked beautiful, and the terrace used for cocktail hour was lovely. The service was good, the food - filet and chicken with risotto - was great, and the cake (Lovin' Oven) was among the most beautiful I've seen - and very yummy (lemon)! All in all a wonderful reception in a beautiful venue!

We had a great experience for our 1/11/14 wedding! The Catering Manager (Samantha) was extremely helpful in planning the Big Day! We held both the ceremony and the reception at the Westin and we were very pleased with both! The Lakeside Pavilion was a beautiful venue. There is a terrace off the back that allowed for some great outdoor shots (even in the middle of winter). And a staircase in the lobby where we had our \"first look\". The front desk staff was very accommodating when checking in and passing out \"goodie bags\" which we had made for our guests. The wait staff (led by Mary Ann) at the reception was superb. We reserved a conference room for our guests to continue celebrating after the reception was over. Several guests commented on how good the food was (and we all know that wedding food is usually not known for being great)! Cocktail hour in the atrium lobby was great and the hors d'vours were delicious! We really had a fabulous experience!

I knew that I wanted a winter wedding and after thoroughly searching the Chicagoland area we chose to have our exceptional wedding reception at the Westin in Itasca, IL. They literally thought of everything from before the cocktail hour to after the reception! The food was delicious, and the drinks were plentiful - with prompt, pleasant and professional service. Even though the big Christmas tree wasn't there anymore we still had amazing perfect areas to take pictures both inside and out. The pavilion looked amazing! Our dance floor looked perfect with our cake out there and everything. The cocktail hour in the lobby was perfect especially when you walked in and saw our \"K\" ice sculpture luge which was an amazing hit! The food was perfect! Two weeks after our wedding I still have family, friends and co-workers complementing us on how beautiful and amazing everything was. Our sister-in-laws mother had to stay upstairs with her grandson because he was fussy and between everyone there they got our sister-in-laws mothers dinner brought upstairs to her so that she wouldn't miss out on it. My husband and I have to give extra special thanks to Samantha Bauman the wedding catering manager who was absolutely amazing!! Not only was she amazing at helping us meet all of our expectations and needs she treated us as though we were her friends and after our experience with her we would definetly consider her a friend. Another special thanks to MaryAnn the evening event manager she was awesome! She made sure that everything we needed we got! The entire staff was absolutely amazing! They made sure that my husband and I never were without a drink in our hands the whole night! My husband and I are even considering having something at the hotel next year with our family and bridal party for our 1 year anniversary because we loved it so much!!

We had our reception in the pavilion (outdoor tent) at the Westin in Itasca. We had 160 guests. I didn't want to have my reception in a typical hotel banquet room but I still needed to be at a hotel for my out of town guests, and this was perfect! Our cocktail hour was outside on the patio and our guests raved about the passed appetizers! Our wedding coordinator (Jill) even saved some for the wedding party for when we got to the reception after we had finished photos! They did our two signature cocktails at no charge and the food was great! Seriously the best food I have ever had at a wedding, and even better than some restaurants too! It was definitely worth the money, and the staff was so nice an accommodating from the planning process through the night of.

We had our reception in the pavilion (outdoor tent) at the Westin in Itasca. We had 160 guests. I didn't want to have my reception in a typical hotel banquet room but I still needed to be at a hotel for my out of town guests, and this was perfect! Our cocktail hour was outside on the patio and our guests raved about the passed appetizers! Our wedding coordinator (Jill) even saved some for the wedding party for when we got to the reception after we had finished photos! They did our two signature cocktails at no charge and the food was great! Seriously the best food I have ever had at a wedding, and even better than some restaurants too! It was definitely worth the money, and the staff was so nice an accommodating from the planning process through the night of.

We actually just had the reception there and it was absolutely perfect. It was a small reception and we were in the Lakeshore Room. The cocktail hour was in the main lobby and it was beautifully set up. I liked that we had a few tables, chairs and sofas for the guests to sit down on during the cocktail hour. I've been to some weddings where you had to stand the whole hour... The service during the reception was outstanding, everything was as planned, and on time. We heard tons of compliments from our guests about the food. Overall, we had a great experience planning our wedding at the Westin. Samantha was on top of everything and she made it easy for us. She was very professional and always available to answer any questions. She responds to e-mails right away. Thank you!!!

We actually just had the reception there and it was absolutely perfect. It was a small reception and we were in the Lakeshore Room. The cocktail hour was in the main lobby and it was beautifully set up. I liked that we had a few tables, chairs and sofas for the guests to sit down on during the cocktail hour. I've been to some weddings where you had to stand the whole hour... The service during the reception was outstanding, everything was as planned, and on time. We heard tons of compliments from our guests about the food. Overall, we had a great experience planning our wedding at the Westin. Samantha was on top of everything and she made it easy for us. She was very professional and always available to answer any questions. She responds to e-mails right away. Thank you!!!

Working with Samantha from the Westin made our wedding planning so easy! She took care of everything and made sure it all went off without a hitch. I felt like I was emailing her constantly with tons of questions,and she always got back to me right away with answers. There was so much attention to detail, and they were always trying to make sure everyone was taken care of. For example, A guest of ours had a medical issue before the wedding even started and had to go up to her hotel room, and they brought up a meal from the wedding to eat, including the cake! The whole experience of planning and the actual day itself were perfect :)

After thoroughly searching Chicagoland, we are very pleased to report of our exceptional wedding reception experience at the Westin in Itasca, IL (centrally located and near OâHare) this month for our oldest daughter and son-in-law. Literally âfrom soup (the best ever) to nutsâ (wedding cake) and all the courses in-between, the food was delicious, and the drinks were plentiful - with prompt, pleasant and professional service ⊠almost doting! The pavilion and dance floor were comfortable and beautiful, as was the cocktail hour lobby and outdoor veranda, pond and fountain; and they provided spotlessly clean and nearby bathrooms for our guestsâ convenience. The hotel rooms are top-drawer and an unbelievable value on a weekend. We continue to receive countless compliments from our family and friends on the entire venue experience which exceeded our lofty expectations. Extra special kudos to the doorman/valet Ben, (female) Sam at the front desk, MaryAnn the evening manager, and Samantha Bauman the wedding catering Manager!

Samantha was wonderful to work from the moment we signed our contract to the day of our wedding. Samantha is easy to work with, knowledgeable, creative and willing to help out with any special requests. Samantha was prompt in returning phone calls and e-mails as well. The staff treated us & our guests like royalty and the food was delicious. The Westin exceeded all our expectations. :)

My husband and I booked the Westin a year in advance and had our wedding last weekend. The Westin was wonderful! Samantha answered all of my questions quickly. The hotel were flexible as questions can up throughout the planning process. Our hotel room was absolutely magnificent! We stayed there for 3 days. Our room was perfect. At the last minute, they had an extra room available and moved our cocktail hour from the lobby to a private room. The bellmen were super helpful always helping us carrying all of our belongings. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the price was great. We looked at 4 other venues and this was definitely the best place for the price and everything that it encompassed. I can honestly say I have nothing but positives things to say about our experience at the Westin.

Our wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Westin in Itasca and everything turned out perfectly. We were given an excellent room rate for our guests, which was important to us. The even coordinator at the time we signed the contract was superb - very attentive, quick to respond, accommodating and very detailed. We did receive a new coordinator within 3 months of our wedding date but she was up to speed on all of our planning quickly and she ensured the event was executed exactly as we requested. The staff at the hotel - ranging from the bellman to the front desk to the servers at the reception - were superb. Everyone was very friendly and many of our guests told us how fantastic the service was. We were supposed to have our wedding ceremony outside but the weather did not cooperate. We were able to have it inside and everyone thought it was even better than if it were outside. We would definitely recommend the Westin in Itasca to others for their wedding venue. The hotel is beautiful during the day and at night and the staff makes you feel like a valued guest. One more thing - we had our reception in the pavillion tent and it was absolutely stunning. My husband was against this at first (we had to change rooms due to conflicts with other events) but it turned out to be fabulous.

I had my reception in the tent and i have a lot of good things to say and only a few disappointments. The reception turned out amazing. the tent looked beautiful and there was plenty of room. I got a ton of compliments on the bar tenders as well. The hotel rate they gave us (79) was very reasonable which was nice because most of our guests were from out of town. The wedding coordinator, Aileen was a lot of fun to work with. She always got back to me in a timely manner and answered my million questions without sounding annoyed. She was also very accomodating with all of my requests. Overall i loved it and would highly recommend it to everyone!\r\rJust a few mishaps though.\r- some of my guests had trouble booking the room for the promised rate. It seemed that communication in that department was lacking\r- the meal they served was different than the one we had picked at the tasting. No one really noticed expect mine and the grooms family so it wasnt a huge deal, but i was pretty disappointed because i was so excited for the meal we had picked\r- for lighting, you can only use their company and its pretty pricey, although they did a fantastic job.

The Westin Chicago Northwest is a great place to celebrate your wedding. In June 2012, my husband and I had our ceremony, reception and Sunday brunch at the Westin Chicago Northwest and our wedding went off flawlesslyâit was everything we wanted it to be and more! We received so many compliments from our guests about the food (how delicious it was), the accommodations (how nice the rooms, pool, and path around the lake were), the attentive hotel service, as well as how beautiful our ceremony and reception location was (we had ours in the lakeside pavilion). We had our big day at the Westin Chicago NW on July 21st, 2012 and everything was just amazing. Our Event Manager Aileen Mckellar was very good to us and very helpful right from the beginning. Considering the fact that we had only a month to plan our whole wedding all our transactions with Westin went in very smoothly. I always emailed Aileen of any changes during the one month and it was taken care of immediately. All the charges were clearly mentioned in the contract and there were no hidden or extra costs. A special mention about Swank Audio Visuals at the Westin. They did an amazing job with the lighting. All the tables and settings were done exactly as mentioned earlier. All the staff at the wedding was extremely supportive and wonderful. We were a bit doubtful as the Gallery ballroom did not looked quite ordinary when we visited first, nevertheless the staff did an amazing job of trasforming the Gallary Ballroom to a wonderful ballroom for our reception. We are very happy that we chose Westin Chicago NorthWest for our big day!

The Director of Sales and Marketing, the Catering Manager and their staff did an excellent job. Everything turned out just as planned. I recently had my wedding reception in the grand ballroom at the Westin Itasca and everything turned out awesome! The staff and wedding coordinator were very friendly and on top of what was going on at all times.. if we needed or requested something, someone was always right there to help us. The ballroom and how everything was set up exceeded my expectations in a great way! All the guests were giving us the same feedback as well. The cocktails were served in the lobby and it was just beautiful with the lighting from the rest of the hotel.. I would definitely recommend this hotel for weddings..I wish I could do it all over again!

The wedding reception was fantastic. We had several requests that were not anticipated and the wedding coordinator was always right there with the fix. All hotel staff were superb. Every guest I talked with was very pleased with their rooms and the staff. I give this hotel AAAA++++. The wedding coordinator and catering folks were tremendous. I traveled quite a bit for work and I always loved staying at Westins and this Westin is among the best. I could not be happier. Thank you Westin Itasca for making my daughter's wedding something she will always remember.\r \rYes, I recommend this hotel.\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r
