The Westin Governor Morris Hotel is an award-winning wedding venue situated in Morristown, NJ. Named for the state’s very first Governor, this establishment honors its historic past while providing modern amenities. With a classic red brick façade, chic overnight accommodations, and a breathtaking lobby, the hotel is a beautiful spot to host your momentous occasion. You can begin your wedding day by preparing in one of the hotel’s plush suites, complete with fine furnishings and gorgeous views. Outdoors, you can follow the path to manicured gardens and a gazebo for your outdoor ceremony. This elegant structure is nestled among towering trees that create a breathtaking backdrop. Your loved ones can be seated in pews set on the lawn so they can take in the panoramic views of nature. After your ceremony, you and your guests can proceed to the property's Promenade, a two-story reception area illuminated by natural light. Here, you can enjoy cocktails and mingle with friends and family before dinner. Studded with ornate chandeliers along its ceilings, the Promenade is an ideal spot to grab a casual refreshment and marvel at the location’s design. There are two distinct options for your reception. You can choose to celebrate in the Governor’s Ballroom, or, for a more intimate affair, the State Ballroom. The State Ballroom has a capacity of up to 275 people and features an expanse of natural light. The Governor’s Ballroom is a palatial banquet hall that seats 450 and boasts crown molding and intricate light fixtures. Reception, ceremony, room block, after party, farewell breakfast - Westin Governor Morris: 12/10 honestly a diamond in the rough. I’m not sure why more people don’t use the Westin for their weddings. Carrie (catering manager) went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure our day was amazing. We had a number of guests with severe food restrictions, and she and I worked together to make sure they could eat, including making sure that we had kosher options at the cocktail hour. She checked on me the night before the wedding, while we were getting ready in the hospitality suite, during, and after. She also worked with us for the after party and breakfast, which went super well. For the room block side, we were in communication with Christina, Jamie and Charday at various points. They were all helpful and accommodating, including adding rooms to our room block and making some exceptions for special last minute bookings and extensions before the room block actually started. We were also upgraded to the presidential suite from our junior suite, which was amazing so we both had large areas to get ready with our people in. For on site weddings, the hospitality suite is included. The only thing I will say is that if we had known in advance we would get the presidential suite, I probably would have switched the girls getting ready to be in there, as the dining room table had a lot of chairs and space for makeup and hair to do their thing.

My husband and I booked this hotel for our guest the night of our wedding. It was a great experience from start to finish. We worked with Christina and she was amazing and very responsive. The hotel was beautiful and decorated beautiful for the holiday season. They offered us a complementary shuttle service to and from the venue. The following morning, we had a breakfast with all the guest that stayed. Everything was wonderful. We had our own private room and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend using them as your hotel for your wedding! 10/10 service.

My husband and I booked this hotel for our guest the night of our wedding. It was a great experience from start to finish. We worked with Christina and she was amazing and very responsive. The hotel was beautiful and decorated beautiful for the holiday season. They offered us a complementary shuttle service to and from the venue. The following morning, we had a breakfast with all the guest that stayed. Everything was wonderful. We had our own private room and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend using them as your hotel for your wedding! 10/10 service.

She was very attentive leading up to the wedding with sharing the list of who had booked, helped us coordinate free shuttles for our guests to the venue, as well as a farewell breakfast the next day. All of our guests said the hotel was very nice and comfortable. The bar and large lobby was great for our after party as well.

Our experience getting married at the Westin was nothing short of incredible! We used them for both our venue and hotel block. We worked with Carrie (venue) and Christina (hotel block) and they were both amazing. They were both so helpful every step of the way. The food was AWESOME!!! The day of the wedding, all staff were so attentive and helpful. We had the best night ever and are so grateful we chose the Westin for our special day.

Our experience getting married at the Westin was nothing short of incredible! We used them for both our venue and hotel block. We used the Westin Governor Morris for our room block for our wedding in July at Natirar and had such a great experience working with Christina and the whole team. Communication was always timely and clear, she was helpful with any questions I had and also helped us secure transportation to and from our venue as well as our Sunday Farewell Breakfast at the hotel. The staff were so friendly, the rooms were clean and we had a great experience! Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a hotel block in the Morristown area!

We booked the Westin Governor Morris for our hotel room block for our wedding in June 2023, and it was a pretty seamless process. Though they had some staff turnover in the year between when we booked and our wedding which led to some changes in contact there, Christina was always responsive and put us in contact with the correct people who were always helpful in sending reservation updates. Though they had multiple weddings booked during the same weekend, they were extremely organized in making sure all our guests received welcome bags, and the rooms were spacious and clean. My bridesmaids and I got ready in one of the presidential suites the morning of the wedding, and the staff were extremely prompt and helpful when we called down to ask for a few last minute items (i.e., high top chairs for the makeup artists, etc). The Westin Governor Morris also offered complimentary shuttles to and from our venue, and their communication during the planning process in sorting out these shuttles was efficient and put my mind at ease. The shuttles were prompt and well-timed for our guests going both to and from our reception. We also worked with them to book a morning-after breakfast for our guests, which was easy to coordinate and was well-stocked and delicious. We would highly recommend booking with them for any hotel blocks and other related wedding events!

Christina and her team were absolutely amazing. I met with Christina over a year before the wedding and she showed us all the options of different rooms/suites to use and was so professional. We used the Presidential Suite which was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for my bridal party to get ready in. Christina was easy to work with and responded to all emails and questions promptly. The shuttle was so easy for all the guests and the food at breakfast was great. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast spread, we added in the French Toast which was delicious! The Westin Governor Morris was exactly what we were looking for when searching for a wedding venue. As a whole, it gives an updated and modern feel. We were fortunate enough to have all of our wedding weekend events at the Westin including welcome drinks, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, after party at the Blue Morel Bar, and a farewell breakfast. The outside ceremony area was a beautiful space to begin our celebration. As guests moved indoors following the ceremony, cocktail hour allowed our guests to enjoy various drinks as well as a large and delicious selection of hors d’oeuvres and appetizers. The ballroom for our reception was very big and fit our 200 guests comfortably. During our reception, guests raved about the service and the food, especially the beef option! In the days following our wedding, we have received so many compliments regarding the time guests spent at the Westin and how they truly enjoyed every aspect as both a hotel and venue. We stayed in the Presidential Suite during our stay, which was convenient and spacious for our bridal party to get ready in the day of our wedding. We also were able to utilize the hospitality suite, which was another space for our bridal party to get ready and even take a few moments away from the party throughout the night. All of the rooms are super clean and updated!The staff at the Westin was exceptional; any requests that we had as the bride and groom was accommodated without question. Every person that we met had a smile on their face and looked to make our stay the best that it could be. Christina made sure that all of our rooms were secured and even added more rooms to ensure all of our guests were able to book one. She kept us up-to-date with our rooming list and answered every question that we had. David truly made our wedding vision come true. If there was anything that we wanted to include in our special day, David made it happen. We communicated with David frequently and he answered any and all questions that we had, even up until the day of. We were truly grateful to work with David and his team at the Westin! David, you’re the best!! Our wedding exceeded our expectations, all thanks to the Westin Governor Morris! 10/10 recommend!

We were extremely happy with the Westin Governor Morris for our hotel block. All of our guests enjoyed staying there, and it is a beautiful hotel. They very kindly upgraded our room to a presidential suite, which was enormous and perfect for getting ready with my bridesmaids. They also left us strawberries and champagne, which was a nice touch! We had a casual after party in the lounge area, and it all worked out great! I didn't eat at the restaurant, but the guests who did thoroughly enjoyed it. We also paid for a farewell breakfast for ~80 guests the morning after our wedding, and it worked out really well!The only thing that was a bit stressful was having to sign a contract that we were responsible for filling a certain number of rooms (in order to ensure we had enough rooms reserved for our guests) since we didn't know exactly how many we needed. But it ended up all working out since the hotel sold out that weekend anyways (and could resell the rooms we didn't need). Just be very clear on what you are signing and make sure you understand the fine print.

Christina was incredibly helpful leading up to our wedding, answering every little question without hesitation. The Westin was easy to work with and always replied to us in a timely manner. We and our guests had a great stay there the night of our wedding. They provided transportation to and from the venue which was much appreciated by our guests.

The suites and rooms are clean and spacious. Transportation was seamless, the company used large coach buses! We had our wedding room block here in January 2023 and couldn't have asked for anything better! Christina and the sales team from start to finish were so helpful, thorough and friendly. We looked at 2 other hotels in the area and would tell you to look no further than the Westin Governor Morris. Amenities, pricing, and service were all superior compared to the other hotels we met with. From finalizing event details, from dropping off our gift bags for our guests for check-in, to our farewell breakfast the morning after our wedding night - everyone and everything was 5 stars. Christina and team answered every single annoying email I had about timing, pricing, guest list, etc. so promptly and I never felt I was a bother. Something that was so helpful during the chaos of wedding planning was that they took care of our guest transportation when we met a certain number of rooms booked. That alone is worth it! No stress dealing with another vendor - the Westin handled it all. They were even able to secure us a handicap accessible bus at no extra cost. We dropped off 90 gift bags to the front desk the week of the wedding and reception staff was so helpful and kind, not acting as if it was another task for them. They were excited for us and helped us carry them all in! I met some friends in the lobby when they checked in and every front desk staff member was so so nice. We have done the wedding circuit with our own group of friends the last year and we haven't stayed at a nicer hotel so far. We received so many compliments from guests about the beauty of the hotel, the size and cleanliness of the rooms, and the Blue Morel restaurant and bar. We had 100+ guests at the Blue Morel bar late night and the bartenders were so nice and patient with our large group. Our room on our wedding night also had surprise chocolate covered strawberries and champagne with wine glasses for us - thank you Christina! So many little things that added onto the amazing experience here. At our farewell breakfast, the staff was so attentive, food was warm and trays full to the brim. The manager kept checking on us to make sure everything was ok. It was a perfect weekend and we are so so thrilled with the service we received! Look no further I promise! This Westin is a step above the rest.

We chose The Westin for our wedding because of the convenience of the hotel and bar being onsite as well as the beautiful Christmas decor. The venue had everything we could have dreamed. A huge Christmas tree, garland hanging from the balcony, and even a sled with moving reindeer!All the decor matched the winter blue silvers and whites theme we had in mind. David was very responsive and made sure to make it all happen. They accommodated special food requests of baby lamb chop appetizers, added Jameson and Ginger ale to the bar (the bride’s favorite drink), and had our favorite holiday food - maple glazed ham! We had a seafood bar the guests loved and a Mac and Cheese bar with toppings that were served in martini glasses to make it easy to eat while socializing! The ballroom had Christmas trees, hot cocoa and cigar favors on the tables with greenery and candles, silver chivari chairs with all white table cloths/napkins that kept the room feeling light, romantic, and magical. David was communicative and extremely easy to work with. He took our vision and made it happen along with adding in details I never even thought of like a gingerbread house with our names on it! Christina with the hotel made sure our room block never ran low and answered all the questions we had on our reservations and how the day would go! I would recommend working with the Westin Governor Morris a thousand times over!

Outstanding!The Westin Governor Morris was absolutely an outstanding hotel for our out of town guests to stay for our daughter's wedding weekend.Even though our daughter was married in our hometown church in Bernardsville and had reception at the Mansion at Natirar, the majority of our hotel guests (131) traveled from all over New England, North Carolina, Ilinois, Florida, California and even Norway. We knew having a great place for them all to stay was incredibly important and one of the first things we booked when she got engaged. Our wedding planners, Peony Events, highly recommended the Westin Governor Morris and they were so right! Our meetings with Christina were so reassuring and we knew we were in good hands. We booked Welcome Drinks at the Blue Morel Restaurant, planned a Farewell Breakfast and reserved the Presidential Suite and a large room block including rooms for our family. Christina kept us updated on reservations and helped us increase the block since so many guests were booking early. Christina also took care of reserving 3 motor coaches to take our hotel guests to and from the reception, which was included in the room block- such a wonderful perk of staying at the Westin.Everything went fantastic the weekend of the wedding from the drop off of 80 Welcome Bags (thanks Narissa!), the Welcome Drinks - over 100 guests attending (thanks Kevin!), smooth transportation to and from the Mansion at Natirar (thanks A-1 Limo) and a fabulous breakfast on Sunday to end the wedding weekend celebration!The service was outstanding all around! Many thanks to Christina and the staff of the Westin! We would highly recommend the Westin Governor Morris.

I would tell her \" go to the Governor Morriss Inn\" I remember a large tiered buffet with lots and lots of crystal, and while we ate a fashion show would be happening. I can't find info on it now. The Westin in newly renovated and looks gorgeous! It is sleek and the chandeliers when you walk in are breathtaking! I was able to drop off my guest hotel bags any day the week of my wedding which was super easy and accommodating! The Westin provided shuttle services to/from my venue and there was no complaints. The Westin Governor Morris is a gorgeous venue! We stayed at the hotel for about a week, and it was an amazing experience. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. The beds were comfortable. Anything we needed, was done or answered to promptly. The staff was so kind and understanding. On our wedding day, the event team was on point and so helpful. They made sure we had all that we needed. I’m so glad we decided to have our special day at the Westin Governor Morris! It was absolutely perfect.

Ruined my wedding night. Their shuttles left without the groom, myself and the bridal party. We called to have them come back and they REFUSED. We all had to wait an additional 30 minutes until our ubers came to pick us up. By the time we were able to get back to the hotel, the bar had closed and we missed all of our guests that were anxiously awaiting our arrival back at the hotel because it was past midnight at this point. We never received an apology from the hotel and we were beyond disappointed in the way the situation was handled.

Our guests were warmly greeted and made comfortable.She helped arrange for guest Transportation to and from our venue which worked out great. It was comfortable and on-time! Our farewell breakfast was excellent and enjoyed by all! We would recommend choosing The Westin Governor Morris for your stay at your next event in that area!

I first contacted and considered the Westin Governor Morris for my October 2020 wedding in 2019. Back then, the staff was very easy to communicate with and answered all my questions. When I decided to postpone from 2020 to 2021, they made it relatively easy and painless and moved all of my blocked rooms for my guests. During 2020, things took a turn and it was hard to get a reply back from the event/sales staff. I spoke to at least 4 people throughout the process but I was being pretty laid back about the entire thing for a while until the month before the wedding. I decided to check in that I had a confirmation # for my own suite on the night before my wedding - the one in which we'd all be getting ready in the morning. Nope - the staff hadn't moved MY reservation at all and I didn't have a suite in my name. It took me calling 3x, emailing, and leaving a voicemail to get a response from the sales manager - who didn't apologize for this huge oversight on their part - just for the confusion? On the Monday before my wedding weekend, they send an email out to remind guests of their reservation with a 4pm check in time! I immediately get texts from my bridal party confused since we were doing rehearsals at 5 and we thought check in was 3. I had to reach out to sales where I was told they would honor 3pm check in for my party since things had changed since my contract. However, they didn't bother to let my guests know that so we had to scramble to let everyone know they can check in at 3pm. On Saturday at check-in, everyone's room was ready besides mine. Fine - I can be patient. But as I overheard guests from other weddings trying to check in.. the hotel had done the same to them. The front desk clerk very coldly stated that check in was 4 when the MOTHER OF THE BRIDE said I need to get into my room so I can get ready before the shuttle leaves at 4 for the wedding! What kind of hotel has a 4pm check in? Besides that - paying $15/day for WiFi? In 2021? Parking was also not free according to the fine print but I think the staff was too overwhelmed to deal with that or me and my guests will be billed later for that? It is a beautiful hotel but it's too bad that the sales and customer service leaves much to be desired. When one of my bridesmaids left something on the shuttle, it took us haunting the front desk staff for over an hour to get us a number for the shuttle company. This hotel was the biggest regret of my wedding weekend! Brides beware.

Christina and team were so helpful with all of our hotel reservation questions (there were many leading up to the big day!). The hotel was beautiful and certainly had that elevated look and feel we were hoping for such a special weekend. We also appreciate the help of David in ensuring our Sangeet had our preferred caterer. They even sent us a sweet note and bottle of Champagne during our weekend. Very sweet of them!

We cannot thank Christina and the team at the Westin enough for making our hotel stay so seamless for our wedding weekend. After multiple wedding reschedules due to COVID, and evolving guests travel plans, the Westin went above and beyond to be accommodating, and understanding - quickly responding to every question, change, and request. Our wedding block booked over 75 rooms and the weekend was flawless - all bus transportation was on time, guests were able to spend Friday lounging by the pool, many guests walked into Morristown throughout their stay, and the farewell brunch was a perfect end to a great weekend. We were able to utilize the Presidential Suite to get ready all weekend (and hang with our friends) and the guests commented on how spacious the rooms were. We are so appreciative to have worked with Christina and the Westin team as they made an unpredictable wedding planning process so much more enjoyable and stress free- cannot recommend more highly!

July 31, 2021 wedding block review 60 days prior my wedding, 35 rooms booked and my hotel canceled on me. Glitch I was told. Christina from The Westin Governor Morris saved us! She had my room blocked transferred signed sealed deliver in maybe 2-3 days. She made sure everything ran smoothly, from the start of the process till the end. You don’t really know what’s going to happen when something like a big cancellation like that occurs. It was nerve wracking. I cannot thank her enough for making it possible without a hitch!! Blue Morel accommodated over 100 people at the bar till 1 am!! We opt to do the Farewell Breakfast and everything was delicious and cooked to perfection!! It was much needed after the wedding and family that we had. Hotel bags were distributed, our shuttles were on time and scheduled. It could not have gone better! We booked as a couple the Junior Suite and The Presidential Suite. If you’re contemplating it, it’s a must!! Nothing like having a six person dining table for your bridal party. We set up breakfast, snacks and water. We did all of our makeups! Lighting was great! Ladies you know what I mean! Christina my love, thank you so much for helping create the best day of my life.. I have no words. To the entire staff, the front desk, Emillie who all helped made this day possible. My sincerest gratitude. THANK YOU SO MUCH!Ladies, if you’re contemplating between the others and The Westin Governor Morris, don’t make the same mistake as I did and not choose The Westin the first time around. we decided to book the Westin in Morristown for our wedding block in July. The hotel was packed with people for weddings at all the different venues in the area but the hotel seemed a little understaffed - which is understandable with covid affecting staffing issues. The hotel was clean and was really helpful in setting up our transportation to the venue as part of our wedding block package. Our contact person Christina was always reachable by phone or email to help answer questions and to give us the most updated list of guests who have booked rooms. The hotel rooms were your average hotelRooms, nothing extra fancy. We had booked the presidential suite for the bridesmaids to get ready in, and it was very large and spacious to accommodate 4 bridesmaids, 4 hair and make up, 2 photographers, and some family members. The only complaint I would have is that the elevators are very slow, and our presidential suite wasn’t ready until an hour and a half after checkin - again probably another issue related to understaffing due to covid. Overall the hotel was great, our guests enjoyed it, the process to book the block was easy, and communication was very clear.

Christina could not have been more helpful, patient and enjoyable to work with through the entire process. Jabari also had our back the entire time and helped execute beautiful events and exactly what we were looking for even with COVID restrictions. Planning the wedding weekend during COVID was already stressful enough and I feel so grateful to have chosen and been working with the Westin Governor Morris through this process. Christina and Emilie were amazing throughout the entire booking process, constantly going above and beyond. We had a LOT of guests stay there as many were from out of town and Christina arranged everything perfectly and arranged transportation for everything. She truly is a gem and genuinely cares about making everything perfect for you, and she definitely did with our wedding. We ordered coffee and breakfast for a large party of 20 at 4:30 AM and it arrived at exactly that time. We are so grateful for everything from the Westin!

We selected the Westin as our hotel for both guests and where we would get ready for our wedding at The Stone House. Overall our experience was great. The weekend of the wedding everything went very smoothly. The team even was able to find and save our Nintendo Switch games after they were left in the grooms suite (oops!) - however, 4 stars instead of five because the lack of initiative. The games were found mere hours after the groom vacated the room and nobody thought to bring them or inform us at checkout that they were left behind. Additionally our staff contact who coordinated the shuttles, room block, and weekend activities (we hosted a post-wedding brunch here the next day as well) was incredibly hard to track down, unresponsive/slow to respond until a week or two ahead of the wedding. When we were at our busiest, we were answering questions we had tried to preemptively problem solve ahead of time. Other than that, everything was lovely, our guests were impressed and comfortable, and the hotel was even accommodating when a snow storm threatened travel plans for many. We wouldn't have changed anything and would use them again, however they could have done slightly better for us.

The team even was able to find and save our Nintendo Switch games after they were left in the grooms suite (oops!) - however, 4 stars instead of five because the lack of initiative. The games were found mere hours after the groom vacated the room and nobody thought to bring them or inform us at checkout that they were left behind. Additionally our staff contact who coordinated the shuttles, room block, and weekend activities (we hosted a post-wedding brunch here the next day as well) was incredibly hard to track down, unresponsive/slow to respond until a week or two ahead of the wedding. When we were at our busiest, we were answering questions we had tried to preemptively problem solve ahead of time. Other than that, everything was lovely, our guests were impressed and comfortable, and the hotel was even accommodating when a snow storm threatened travel plans for many. We wouldn't have changed anything and would use them again, however they could have done slightly better for us.

Everything went off without a hitch.We had a Friday night meet and greet on the pool deck and a private brunch on SundayPedro and Julio - the catering managers and Joy, were very attentive, and setup the pool deck beautifully.They took care of the decorations, and saved them for us, so that they were at the sunday brunch.The shuttles were on time, and picked up everyone they should. We had a large guest list (approx 260) with many out of towners, and early on knew that we wanted to simplify logistics as much as possible. We were able to host a full weekend of events all on site at the Westin: the rehearsal dinner, a welcome reception, cocktail hour, dinner reception, after party, and welcome brunch. The hotel is quite large and really stunning, so we were able to host each event in a unique space with different menus, room layouts, decor and music. We also had our room block there, so our guests absolutely LOVED having so many events without having to travel anywhere. In addition, we had large suites for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready on site. Julie, Jabari, Joyce and all of the others were worked with were a dream team, making all of these events and many, many details come together so seamlessly. They were so friendly and responsive, and had so many great ideas and suggestions that we were able to incorporate. And the food was incredible, we are still getting compliments about the amazing food choices that were available at pretty much every turn! Thank you for making our wedding weekend beyond all of our greatest expectations!

We worked with Kelly who was a great resource and offered a ton of useful information. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful especially when dropping off our welcome bags the day before. Our wedding was a traditional Indian wedding with almost 400 people, so managing the event was not easy. Although the wedding was in Morristown, NJ, I lived in Northern Virginia so a lot of communication between the senior catering manager, Julie, and I was via email and phone. Nonetheless we were able to connect often to exchange all pertinent information. She never once said anything like \"I'm not supposed to do that\" or \"Thats not my job.\" She double and triple checked every detail - it was clear that the hotel staff knew what they were doing. Kelly was very easy to work with when it came to hotel room booking. The hotel staff made sure we were fed :-)Overall, my family and I felt we were in very capable hands through the majority of this process. We're very thankful to making our day a wonderful time for everyone!My comments:1) After the ceremony, there was no direction on where guests should proceed to for post ceremony snacks, so 350ish people were quite confused. I got flustered a bit seeing that and wondered why no one was there because we needed to stay in the ceremony hall for pictures with our families. By the time guests reached the post ceremony reception, food was already gone because earlier guests took many items, much more than they should have. I don't know whose fault this falls upon, but if someone else was there to direct people, it would've worked better. 2) Along the same lines for cocktail hour and dinner. People crowded to one side of the food area while the other side was completely open. People later saw there was another side and it did even out.2) The first two rows were supposed to be saved for bridesmaids and groomsmen ahead of time. 3) The Bride's family and groom's family rooms should have been on the second floor so the elevator piece is eliminated and easy access to each halls. I wish in the midst of everything we were re-told the hospitality room for the bridesmaids to make\\change etc. We hardly addressed the detail but it could have been very beneficial.4) A guest not in the wedding block was placed next door to the presidential suite for the newlyweds. The guest should not have been placed there.

My husband and I began our search in the North Jersey area since we had family traveling from New England. I decided to do a venue visit based off of other brides' reviews online, who raved about the Westin Governor Morris. The hotel property, ballroom, and the lobby were all beautiful!! I knew right away that this was the venue we would host our reception in. Our guests still to this day tell us how beautiful the reception was and how awesome the Westin was. Everything from the check in process, to the food /drinks at cocktail hour & dinner, the after party and the farewell breakfast were 'all perfect' in the words of our guests. We knew that booking the Westin was the best decision, as not only was the venue beautiful, but the convenience factor for our guests could not be topped. The room block, wedding reception, after-party, and farewell breakfast the following morning were all hosted under the same roof! I truly think that because of this, the energy of the party and of our guests never died down throughout the weekend. We have the Westin to thank for that ! Family & friends LOVED the two-tier ballroom in the Westin -- it added another space to mingle and socialize with other guests. The chandeliers were beautiful, and the ballroom itself was a neutral color, perfect for any bride who wants to use the color of her wish!We were thrilled at the level of service we received throughout the entire process. Julie was a great face for the Westin - she is awesome to work with - in the wedding and hospitality industry there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes, and it requires a lot of teamwork in order for the wedding venue to execute. The Westin did not disappoint, and their team showed us that they were there to make your wedding a success!!! I had my wedding here on August 18th, 2017. I had originally planned for it at another venue but the venue closed leaving me to find a new location 5 months prior to my wedding. I walked in to meet with Julie (pretty much in tears) because I was so stressed about moving our wedding so last minute. I am so thankful I walked in their door. Julie and her team (Julio & Christina too!) were AMAZING to work with. They all sprung into action on how to make this wedding work for my husband and I. They recreated a special menu for us and had talked with our other vendors to straighten everything out. The day went seamless - all of our guests raved about the food, but more about the customer service they received. To the front desk associates, bartenders, servers etc - they all were fantastic. Julie and her team (Julio & Christina too!) were AMAZING to work with. They all sprung into action on how to make this wedding work for my husband and I. They recreated a special menu for us and had talked with our other vendors to straighten everything out. The day went seamless - all of our guests raved about the food, but more about the customer service they received. To the front desk associates, bartenders, servers etc - they all were fantastic. The Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, NJ was the perfect venue for my daughter’s wedding. The wedding took place the Sunday night of Memorial Day Weekend, 2017. We couldn’t be more pleased with the entire wedding! We had many, many out-of-town guests, and the hotel accommodated them all – we ended up with 75 rooms booked! We worked with Kelly Bartolome regarding the room block, starting one year prior. She held the “bridal nook” for the wedding party – which was the perfect location for our after party. It consisted of the very large hospitality suite connected to a junior suite (2 room suite) on each side. We had access to the hospitality suite the night before the wedding, and all day on the day of the wedding, for hair and makeup, and for the after party.The service at the Westin was outstanding in every way. Julie Olsen, our catering manager, was great to work with. She was extremely responsive, and helpful. Great attention to detail – I didn’t even need a party planner. The hotel is beautiful – it’s historic, but has been restored so everything is top notch. The front lobby, the ballroom, the chandeliers – all gorgeous! All our guest commented on how they loved the hotel.Morristown itself is a great area. Since it was a 3 day weekend, many of our guests enjoyed going into town, or to the Morristown Museum, or to the nearby Arboretum. Of course, many just wanted to relax at the Westin’s large outdoor pool.Overall, I’d highly recommend this venue. It’s perfect if you have people flying into Newark airport – less than a half hour by Uber or cab.Great location for NJ, great customer service, and, I almost forgot, phenomenal food! From the filet mignon to the mushroom risotto, to the fresh sushi at the cocktail party, everything was fantastic! Really good quality. And priced very reasonably!Literally no complaints about this venue. It was a great wedding. My guests were telling me it was the best wedding they’ve every been to!

We just had our wedding at the Westin and worked with Julie, David, Susan, Pedro, Julio and team. I knew when we booked the Westin that when it came to the service, food and timing/flow of the event it would be flawless and it was. I can not express how happy and blown away we are with the attention to detail, from Susan helping me get into the limo and cleaning it for me, to Julie and David ensuring every single table and aspect of the cocktail hour & reception were perfect. We are STILL getting rave reviews on how amazing the food was. Every single person has told us that it was \"the best wedding they have ever been to\" they have NEVER been to a wedding like this\" and that the steak was \"out of this world\" and better than some steakhouses in the city they frequent. Pedro & Julio never left our or our parents sides, and made us all feel like royalty. The bartender John even went above and beyond to find my father in laws favorite beer in the back, chilled it for him and Julio never missed a beat for the rest of the wedding ensuring he had a drink in hand and was happy. My parents dietary needs were exceeded and checked on by Pedro throughout the evening which made them feel more than comfortable. We are still in awe of the comments and reviews we are getting from our guests and have asked them all to write reviews of their experience. The team even fixed issues we had with another vendor which were not any of their concern or fault yet they pulled through to make EVERYTHING perfect for us and we will forever be grateful for everything they did to make it the best night of our lives.

We had our room blocks, after party, and farewell brunch at the Westin Governor. Julie Olsen and Kelly Bartolome were fantastic. They were extremely responsive and helpful. Kelly helped us with our room block. I had the presidential suite for my bridal party and it was PERFECT for getting ready the morning of! It was big enough to hold all 8 bridesmaids and the 6 hair/make-up artists. We also had breakfast and champagne served to the room for everyone to enjoy. One thing I absolutely loved about the suite was it had a large hook high up in the closet for that is meant for your wedding dress. I was coming from NYC and my dress wrinkled on the commute. It was great being able to hang it and let it straighten out. I do have to say, I had the dress steamed at the hotel (they use an outside service) and it didn’t really help, so I recommend bringing your own steamer. We had a day wedding so the after party was a big deal. We decided to have it at the State Ballroom in the hotel and it was a blast! Julie helped us pick the food options/amount and she did not disappoint. We had a great selection of food that lasted for all of our guests. She also helped us set up music and games, which everyone enjoyed. The brunch the next day was perfect. We had our own room so we were able to say goodbye to our entire group. Another selling point for us was that they provided transportation to and from the Park Savoy. It put our mind at ease knowing that they have worked with this limo company before and they were reliable. We worked with Jennifer Holbert and she made sure we had buses for our bridal party and our entire group. It was a very easy to coordinate with her. We are very thankful for everyone who helped us at the Westin Governor and highly recommend using them for your hotel block.

We had a fantastic wedding day at the Westin Governor Morris! We had a full day of events for a fusion Indian/Latino celebration of close to 300 guests. Julie did an amazing job keeping the day organized and on-time. She was very polite and helpful in keeping all of our guests and vendors ready for the day's events. The venue itself is beautiful with a beautiful ballroom and hotel lobby where all of our guests used as a meeting point and backdrop for pictures. The service from the staff was great - very professional, friendly and eager to help. The food was very tasty and I loved the cake we selected from Gourmet Touch. If we could do it all over again we would - I highly recommend the Westin Governor Morris to every couple who wants to have a beautiful wedding.

We recently held our ceremony, reception, and room block at the Westin. My husband and I chose the Westin because everything would be held in one location and it was clean and elegant. Our guests lOVED how easy and relaxing it was. We booked our wedding through Joyce and from the first day we booked it until the day of the wedding she was AMAZING. Joyce was so helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly and listened to all of my directions for all of the decorations. She put her personal touches when needed. Joyce was so calm and sweet; just what an overwhelmed and nervous bride needs!! The night our wedding Pedro treated us like a Queen and King. He made sure we had food and drinks and felt comfortable. The next morning at the breakfast, there were flowers from the wedding at the tables. They made use of it all! Christina took care of our room block. She was so pleasant and kept me updated. Our wedding was a dream come true and I want to relive it!

We used the Westin Governer Morris hotel to house our guests for our wedding in March 2016. From the very beginning working with Kelly was extremely easy and she did everything she could to make us comfortable and prepared for our wedding day. In the end everything (the rooms, the hotel staff, the breakfast, the transportation service to our venue) turned out perfect as she promised. I would definitely recommend this hotel for any wedding or event in the area.

We chose The Westin Governor Morris for our wedding room block and private farewell buffet breakfast. Our wedding reception was approximately ten minutes away at The Park Savoy. Our contact at The Westin was Kelly and she was fantastic. From our initial meeting through the day of the wedding, Kelly was very attentive and responsive. She regularly checked in to ensure that everything was correct and up to date throughout the process. Due to the number of rooms that we booked, The Westin provided complimentary shuttle service to and from The Park Savoy. The guest rooms were in excellent condition and very spacious. Due to the number of guests in our block (~100), our farewell buffet breakfast was in a private room. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely attentive. We would highly recommend The Westin Governor Morris for your wedding room block if you are getting married in the Morristown area.

The Westin was the perfect wedding venue! We worked with Joyce Beighley, and she was a dream - accommodating, knowledgeable, and professional. She was so helpful through the whole process, always available to answer our questions, and she made the whole wedding weekend run so smoothly. Christina Rodriguez did our room block, and she was wonderful as well! So on top of the block and so helpful along the way. The whole staff was amazing during the wedding weekend, and they treated our families like royalty. It was so perfect!

This review is based on our room block reserved for the night of our wedding. Our wedding was held at the nearby Park Savoy Estate (10 min drive), and the Westin is one of their preferred vendors. \r\rI worked with Kelly in sales and she was excellent! We started the process several months before the wedding and held enough rooms for our out of town guests. Guests could call or use our wedding website to reserve their room at a discounted rate. \r\rWe (bride and groom) were given a complimentary suite once a certain number of rooms were reserved. This, of course, was appreciated because we were already spending so much money on the wedding! When we got back to the room for the night, there was a bottle of champagne and a platter of chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. Thank you! The next morning, we also found a cute note on the windshield of our car wishing us Congratulations. They thought of everything! \r\rThe guest rooms and lobby were modern and impeccably clean. The service from the bell desk, front desk, housekeeping, and valet were all excellent. We had welcome gift bags for our guests and we dropped them off the day before the event. The front desk was super friendly, supportive, and excited on our behalf. \r\rAdditionally, since we reached a certain number of rooms reserved, the Westin provided our guests with a free shuttle to and from the Park Savoy. This way, no one had to drive after a long night of drinking. The shuttle was from a company called My Limo and they were clean, modern, and prompt. \r\rThank you Westin Governor Morris for making our day go smoothly!\r\r

Everyone raved about the appetizers and the cocktail hour itself. my parents said the wait staff was very friendly, and helpful, constantly asking them if they needed anything. Discounts are given for winter weddings, so its a good deal and if you're an SPG member there are some more perks worth looking into.

We got married at the Park Savoy but used the Westin for our room block. We were extremely pleased with the service. The hotel itself seems super new, well maintained, and very hospitable. Kelly and her staff attended to all of our needs, thank you all! We were pleasantly surprised with all of the holiday decor (which our guests loved) in the lobby. We used the Blue Morel for our rehearsal dinner location and were also very happy with both the service and quality of food. Rates were great, rooms were great, food was great, everything was GREAT!

The Westin staff was incredibly helpful and responsive to our first inquiry email to the last guest's checkout! Kelly was amazing to work with and was always on top of our room block to make sure we had enough rooms available and even helped us reserve space at the restaurant bar the night before the wedding to welcome arriving guests. All of our guests raved about how wonderful the staff was, how well they were treated, and nice the hotel was overall. The room block rate includes shuttle transfers to and from your wedding venue, which is really helpful. We were so impressed with how well-organized the hotel was--total pros! The only downside to the hotel is that it's not super close to eateries, so if you don't want to spend quite so much for meals at the hotel restaurant, you do have to drive or make other food arrangements. At least downtown Morristown is nearby.
