We had our wedding ceremony and reception here! It was a BEAUTIFUL venue, Everyone there was very responsive throughout the whole process and the whole day was very organized! Everyone told us our wedding was the best ever and thats because of the Westin!!

The ballroom was absolutely stunning, the staff were wonderful, the food was amazing! Overall, it was a phenomenal wedding venue! The hotel rooms are a little on the smaller side, but the bridal suite was the perfect size to get ready in!

We just had our wedding there on Nov 19th and it was absolutely AMAZING. Chelsea was my coordinator and she is unmatched. Everything was absolutely perfect, all the servers, bartenders, and employees were so nice. Everyone of our guest have said it was the best wedding the have been to in a long time! Totally worth all the money!

We knew we wanted to get married at the Westin Great Southern as soon as we stepped inside for our tour. The building itself is gorgeous and unique but the staff was incredible and the amenities were unmatched. Several items like gold chargers, candles and an easel came with the event as an option, with limitless other ways to make the venue fit our dream wedding.Caitlin, our planner, worked with us for a year, answering questions, updating information, etc. We couldn’t have asked for someone more accommodating and patient. In addition to Caitlin, the rest of the staff was incredibly kind and detail oriented, flipping our 200+ ceremony to a beautiful reception hall in one hour and keeping everything running smoothly all night long and into the next day when we had a goodbye brunch. We couldn’t recommend this venue enough.

The Westin is an absolute dream! From the wedding coordinator (Melissan) to the beautiful ballroom to the service we received all weekend, we couldn’t be happier! Melissan worked with us diligently and answered all of our countless questions via email and phone, making sure everything was as perfect as it could be for the big day. We also had the opportunity to taste the menu with our parents in the fall before the wedding, as well as meet with Melissan to go over last minute details a few weeks before. Elsie, as well as the two banquet captains (Dessa and Surafael), were so helpful and are fantastic at their jobs! The Westin made sure all guests received their welcome bags, decorations and seating were set up as we requested, and went above and beyond (Ex- taking gifts and cards to the safe in our room, cleaning up our gold confetti exit, early check-in for the bridal party, helping us take decorations upstairs earlier in the week, giving my husband and I a few trays of appetizers to munch on after the ceremony, and staffing the whisky bar for our late night).We truly could not have asked for a better experience. I never imagined having our wedding at a hotel, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The transitions from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception were seamless. It was such an incredible day (plus we were able to get triple Marriott rewards points on the weekend!). We 1000% recommend the Westin, as well as Melissan and her team to anyone considering a wedding in Columbus. Incredible experience!

Melissan and her team did a fantastic job with setting up the room exactly how I imagined it (plus even a little better). The food was delicious - we had the goat cheese chicken and filet mignon. Everything was cooked to perfection. The drinks at the bar with strong, so you really get your money's worth :) The ballroom is just so stunning, I really feel like it's the best looking venue in the city!would recommend 100%!!

We absolutely loved using the Westin as our reception venue. We worked with one wedding planner at the beginning, but shortly after booking, she moved. With that, we worked with Natalie for the majority of the planning and she was absolutely incredible. We met twice before the wedding to talk through the details and she answered countless emails with lots of questions. The day could not have went better and the Westin staff was fantastic, both at the hotel overall and those working the event. We were very happy with the food (steak and goat cheese stuffed chicken) and the alcohol (we did the highest package). The only thing that was just okay were the appetizers. It was very important to us that there was not much waiting around for food- and this was perfect for the evening. We also had our guests meet us at the hotel bar the Friday before the wedding. The staff was great there. We had 60+ rooms reserved at the hotel for out of town guests. Caitlin was very helpful with the block and all of our guests seemed happy with their rooms!

If you have not decided on a wedding venue yet, then HAVE YOUR RECEPTION AT THE WESTIN! The service you will get is immaculate! This is not just coming from me, even all of my vendors prefer working there, that is how catering the staff is to your EVERY need. I had someone asking me if everything was perfect every 5 minutes, someone who turned down the heat for me if it was too hot, someone to hand me a drink every time my hand was empty! We were told more times than we could count by guests that our wedding was the most elegant and classiest wedding they had ever attended!

I have celiac disease and Melissan and her team were able to accommodate my 100% gluten-free wedding, I never got sick! They went above and beyond to help my wedding planning team make the day a success. From the waiter who just waited on my husband and I to the bartender that kept extra of my signature drink so I could enjoy it throughout the night and the concierge service to my room, thank you!!

My husband and I had our wedding there two weeks ago and it was AMAZING! While the staff has has a lot of turnover in the last year since we originally signed our contract, the wedding came out perfect.On the day of the wedding my stomach was really upset (nerves and getting over a bug). When I didn't touch my dinner, the chef and multiple staff came to check on me to make sure everything was ok and even brought me a fresh plate to my room at the end of the night.The presidential suite was perfect for me and all my girls to get ready in on the day of the wedding. The ballroom is absolutely gorgeous and doesn't need a lot to dress it up. All of our guests were gushing about how beautiful everything was. Wouldn't change a thing!

Had our Winter 2018 wedding reception at the Westin. I think there has been some turnover in coordinators from prior reviews that mentioned poor communication, because Kathy was a gem to work with. Every email was addressed within a day and the staff was all very friendly to us and our guests. I was not super into wedding planning and having at the Westin made it SO easy - having a day of coordinator makes sure all the details the day of were managed without me even having to notice. We got tons of compliments on the quality of the steak and dinner items as well. If you're looking for a beautiful, easy/one-stop-shopping venue the Westin is a great choice!

The Westin was the perfect venue for us. The ballroom is unlike any other venue in Columbus, which is just part of the reason we fell in love with it. Being an out of state bride, the staff at the Westin made planning from across the country so easy. Mainly, Natalie Wares was an absolute dream to work with. On the day of the wedding, she took on everything so that myself and my future husband could relax with our friends and family. We dropped off boxes of decorations and candy/jars for our candy table and she put together EVERYTHING just as we had discussed. If anything went wrong, we were completely unaware as the whole day was perfect to us!Also as a lot of our guests were coming from out of state, I loved that we were able to host the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception within the same area, so that no one had to travel. They made everything so incredibly easy!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Westin 2 weeks ago and we cannot compliant the staff enough! Everyone went so far out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of and we were pleased. Penny Drumm was more than we could possibly of asked for in a wedding manager! Our florist forgot to bring our toss bouquet so Penny scrounged up some flowers and made one herself! She also saved us hors d'oeuvres and drinks from our cocktail hour so we could try them when we arrived to the reception! The bar staff was perfection! They were so pleasant and fun to have around! My mom even ended up pulling them to the dance floor for a second! After dinner the head chef came out and talked to us to be sure that we were happy with the food! Our room was amazing and clean! We could not have asked for things to go smoother! We keep trying to come up with another event that we could have at the Westin because it was such a joy!

We had an absolutely magical wedding ceremony and reception at the Westin! We were looking for an indoor ceremony and reception venue downtown for our February wedding, and the Westin stood out as the most elegant venue we looked at. Working with Penny was so easy, she was so organized and confident even when I was stressed! She responded to emails and questions throughout planning process quickly and was always willing to meet if we needed to. I couldn't decide if I needed a day of wedding coordinator, but Penny assured me that she would be our coordinator, and I'm so glad I didn't spend the money on someone extra. Having our hotel, ceremony, and reception all in one place made everything so simple, especially because I was worried it would be a snowy day (it ended up being 60 degrees and sunny!) I think we ended up saving quite a bit of money since we didn't need to book lots of extras (hotel room, transportation, brunch the next day, etc). I can't recommend the staff and the Westin enough as a wedding venue!

I had my wedding at the Westin last month. It is a perfect venue to get married at... the ballroom is beautiful and Penny was great to work with! The bridal suite is huge and provided plenty of space for me and all ten of my bridesmaids to get ready in. I was most impressed with how attentive the staff was. We held a brunch at the Westin the next morning and they had moved some of the centerpieces to the brunch tables without me even asking- very impressed that they thought to do this! I would recommend the Westin to anyone that is looking for the perfect venue for their wedding.

We could not have picked a better venue to have our wedding at! The ballroom is gorgeous and is initially what made us choose the Westin, but that is just a small part of what made our wedding at the Westin amazing. The planning process with Penny was great; she responded quickly and was patient with all of our questions and requests. The food was cooked perfectly and on par with high-end restaurants, and the staff was so nice and extremely detail oriented. Also the bridal suite is beautiful and provides the perfect backdrop for getting ready photos and videos. I would highly recommend getting married at the Westin!

We were lucky enough to host our reception at the Westin in Columbus and we were not disappointed. While our liaison changed three times, we finally ended up working with Penny, whom we loved. She was prompt with email responses and was on top of every little detail - down to drink stirrers and dance floor flip flop placement. Most of our guests hailed from the East Coast and they simply couldn't get over how gorgeous the ballroom was at the Westin. We highly recommend not going with the uplighting and letting the gorgeous natural light pour into the room. The pictures were stunning and it added to the romantic feeling and our color scheme of gold and blush pink. The service was unbeatable, the food was actually delicious (which never happens at weddings), and at the end of the night the guests could simply take an elevator back to their hotel room. We loved the Westin and would recommend it to anyone in a flash!

We had both wedding and reception in the Grand Ballroom June 18th at The Westin and we couldn't of been happier! So beautiful! First off, Penny Drumm was our wedding coordinator and she was absolutely amazing along with the rest of the staff there. They made us and all our guests feel at home. They went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend so special. We can't thank them enough! :)

There were also so many small details that made the Westin exceptional; for example, during the reception the staff serviced the bridal suite and left us a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered cherries. Excellent venue and staff! Penny, Anna, Lauren, and Camela were all very helpful during our year+ planning process. The ballroom is gorgeous and does not need a lot of decoration which is a plus!

The Westin is a ballroom that could sell itself. I was happy to get married there. I will however give you an honest and fair review. The positives: the ballroom, serving staff (amazing service!), they surprise you with comfy mr and mrs bathrobes as a gift and most staff are very responsive. I also loved the location as it was convenient for our guests. Be prepared for guests to pay for parking over night. \rWe decided to get married and have the reception there. \rConstructive feedback: Because the ballroom sells itself if feels like our wedding coordinator was not on the ball. When I would ask specific questions or ask for a request she would say everything word work out. I felt nervous because not much was written down. I kept reminding her that I wanted to talk about the bar package. She would wave her hand and said we could do that the last week and she would remind me. She didn't bring it up again and gave me a hard time about it because I should have put the bar package order in before the last week. Sigh. The day of the wedding I was told we would not have the presidential suite as promised to get ready (hair and makeup) in with my girls. Apparently they double booked the room with a preferred business traveler who could leave anytime he wanted. Therefore we were put in a much smaller room and only got into the suite right before the wedding after we were done getting ready. I would say this was the biggest issue with the whole wedding. There were no apologizes or comps provided. Luckily, I was a pretty chill bride and chose not to make an issue out of it. The wedding coordinator was also nowhere to be found until right before the wedding or during the reception. They said the band would be covered with pipe and draping during the ceremony and it wasn't. It didn't look great in pictures. The food wasn't great. I remember I was so excited because it had been so amazing at the food tasting. The service was excellent as I said above. Overall I loved my day because I wasn't going to let anything ruin it. The wedding coordinator at the Westin is no longer there which may resolve some of the issues.

Our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception were held here. I can't say enough about the venue, food and staff. Camela Jones, the wedding coordinator/specialist is second to none. Her knowledge, professionalism and excellent client relations made this a wonderful experience. The ballroom set up manager, her banquet captain are very special people. Their attention to detail and client service are extraordinary. Chef Luis is first class. People are still raving about the food. You cannot go wrong having a wedding and/or reception here. Surprised by my experience based on all these great reviews, but my fiancé and I decided to take our business elsewhere based on the poor customer service we received from the Westin coordinator. Not responsive and when she did finally respond (after multiple tries) the response always came off SO rude. I tried to call thinking maybe she had better phone etiquette, but never was able to talk to her. She certainly did not go out of her way to get our business and it was quite sad because I was in love with the ballroom. My fiancé and I did not feel good about giving them our money and the uncertainty of having to spend the next year with someone that difficult to work with. The coordinator at the hotel we decided to go with instead has been so amazing and helpful and has made the experience so fun and enjoyable! I am so glad we made the decision that we did. Customer service goes a long way!

This hotel provided the entire package to us. We did the ceremony and reception here. The package included everything including service,staff, set-up, dinner,and alcohol. You're also provided with an event coordinator for the wedding when you book so a wedding planner isn't entirely essential. We hired a \"day-of\" wedding planner just to tie in the loose ends on the actual day which actually was very helpful! \rThe bridal suite is complimentary for the wedding night but if you want to get ready in the suite (hair, makeup etc) you'll have to book for Friday night as well which adds to the bill considering that the Presidential suite is the most expensive room in the hotel. \rThe entire venue was beautiful and the service was top-notch. While not the best budget wedding venue for us it was worth every penny and would do it all over the exact same way.

Comfortable accommodations, great convenient location, the front desk and room service staff were awesome. The room block price made it more reasonable compared to other hotels downtown. It's so pretty in there! We blocked rooms there for my brother's wedding and ours!

Comfortable accommodations, great convenient location, the front desk and room service staff were awesome. The room block price made it more reasonable compared to other hotels downtown. It's so pretty in there! We blocked rooms there for my brother's wedding and ours!

The Westin was amazing!! We could have not asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding and reception. Upon first seeing the space and meeting with the Westin staff, (Craig and Linsey are the event coordinators), we knew the Westin was right for us. The hotel itself is beautiful, with marble floors, warm lighting, and stained glass windows--breath taking! Craig and Linsey were very professional, yet fun and easy to work with. The entire staff was flexible and worked closely with us on every detail: We were able to modify and personalize anything and everything we wanted, and each staff member worked hard to make sure not only my husband and I, but all of our guest, had all they wanted or needed. The ceremony and reception went off perfectly, and all the small, personal touches and details meant so much. I can honestly say there is nothing more I would have wanted--we are forever grateful for the Westin and its amazing experience and staff--espcially Linsey and Craig!! My gosh, you guys. The staff at the Westin Columbus were absolutely perfect. I was pretty clueless when it comes to wedding planning, and Linsey Bruce (Event Manager) was the most helpful and easy to work with person I've encountered in a long time. She made smart and valuable suggestions, she had the day running perfectly on time and beautifully orchestrated, and I cannot think of a single way in which it would have been easier. She really thought of everything and guided me through a process that I had formerly considered too intimidating to touch on my own. We are still getting compliments on the food, the staff, the atmosphere, the wedding itself. I chose the Westin because it is stunning inside, and I wanted a place that would be all-in-one (I did not want to deal with outside vendors or coordinate any more pieces of the puzzle than I absolutely had to). Our guests are still talking about the service delivered by the Westin. If I had to do the whole thing over, I would choose the Westin again in a heartbeat.

We selected the Westin as our ceremony and reception venue. It was very important us that our guests experienced a transformation from the ceremony to the reception and that they did not feel like it was \"just another hotel wedding.\" I can honestly say they took my breath away and the whole presentation truly exceeded our expectations. The grand ball room is beautiful, in its own right, so I also found it nice that decorating with flowers/table numbers, details etc. was best simple and understated. This was great on my budget but it did not appear we spared any expense! The staff was phenomenal. They went above and beyond catering to our needs and the event team: Craig Temblay and Linsey Bruce are wonderful/so easy to work with! The food was delicious/hot and memorable. My guests are still commenting on how beautiful the event was and how pleasant/professional the entire service staff was. We evaluated a number of potential venues and from the beginning the Westin really stood out. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone and we could not be happier with our wedding experience. Start to finish .. this beautiful hotel and staff made our wedding dreams come true!! Kudos, Westin! You have an extremely happy/loyal customer for life!!

This venue is a fairy tale, and there are not enough words that can express how happy we were with our decision in choosing The Westin. We checked in of Friday the weekend of the wedding, and everything was perfect till Sunday at checkout. Everything went smoothly without a hiccup, and The Westin and Linsey Bruce made sure of it! The Hotel/ball room are just gorgeous and everything we had dreamed our wedding to be. We had lots of food options(cheese/meat station & late night snacks), and from what we had time to eat was amazing, and the guests loved it too! Even though they are a full service venue, I hired a wedding planner to assist me with everything due to my school/work schedule. Linsey and her worked together towards the end, and the day of it was so nice to see Linsey check in often and make our night so special! I would do this weekend all over again, because the hard work that everyone put into it was beyond my expectations! We put passion and hard work to everything we do, and it was heartwarming to see others perform that way for us. I can't wait for the next time we get to go to The Westin!

We were married at the Westin in April and had such a great experience!! Linsey Bruce is so great to work with and the Westin staff in general was fabulous. I am type A and ask 5000 billion questions and Linsey quickly answered all of them and put me at ease. She is super responsive, organized, and resourceful. I also worked with Craig a bit in the beginning and he is great too. Although we had a wedding planner, I think if you had your ceremony at the Westin too, you really wouldn’t need one! \r\rWe had many compliments on the food (especially the scallop appetizers and mahi mahi for the entrée) and the drinks, as well as the service. Anna, who is the head of catering, was awesome. \r\rThe only small issue we had was more with the front desk staff and them forgetting to hand out Welcome bags but Linsey swooped in and helped the situation!\r\rAdvice for any brides/grooms- recommend your guests to book suites ASAP. They book up fast and are only $20 more to upgrade. The standard rooms are pretty small. Also, get the upgraded lightening- it’s so worth it in that room! We were also happy that we did the brunch. \r\rWe looked at many other hotels downtown to have our wedding at and for the price and the elegance of the room, I really don’t think you can beat the Westin! We are so so happy we got married at the Westin and would highly recommend it!! \r

I was married at The Westin Hotel on April 18th. I couldn't have imagined my wedding anywhere else. From the first time we walked in there I knew it was where we were going to be married. For a beautiful traditional wedding in a historic landmark, check out the Westin on High. Not only is the venue wonderful, but the staff was great! While the pictures of the venue are gorgeous, you really must go to the Westin and experience the whole place. One of the most important features for us about this location is the presence of only one ballroom. This means on your wedding day, you will not be listening to another party's music. In addition, the venue was one of the few hotel venues that included the alcohol in the food price.\r\rSpeaking of the food, the four dishes we tried were delicious! Not to mention the delicious sides we got to choose from. Honestly, I was concerned when Linsey told me they had a new chef. Once we had the food, those concerns flew out the window. During our tasting we tried four entree and four starches. The choice was not easy but the peppercorn crusted filet melted in your mouth and the sun dried tomato pesto salmon was so meaty. Even our children's meal was great; one of the groomsmen even stole some mac & cheese. \r\rThe food and venue are not the only places I have to compliment the Westin. Their staff, especially Linsey and Craig, were fantastic. Prior to our event, we emailed Linsey (and sometimes Craig) about everything. We asked them so many questions from what sequence works best for the reception to cancelling a room for one of our guests. Only slight inconvenience for our guests was we had to change the type of rooms in our block. However, Linsey was very quick in adding/changing rooms. They genuinely catered to us as if we were their one and only priority. All of inquiries were answered very promptly (1 - 3 days) prior to the wedding. Afterwards there were times when it took a litle longer, but that is expected.\r\rOn the actual day, Linsey and the banquet staff moved with our DJ and speech time. Despite a detailed schedule on when main entree would start, we definitely went ahead of schedule. I can only credit our banquet manager, Elsie for why I was able to enjoy my reception. Our cupcake was delivered for our guests without my needing to remind anyone. They had our faux cake stored for us to pick up the next morning. Now alcohol, our bartender was amazing! I was concerned with only having one person tending our bar, but I shouldn't have been. My guests gave me so many compliments about her. How she had a drink ready for repeat guests and could make so many different types of fun drinks.

The WESTIN exceeded at everything. We have many out of town guests, this was our venue for both the wedding and reception. The day we contacted the WESTIN to book our date, we sat down and discussed packages (what came with each) and options. I was relieved at how very clear the set pricing is so NO Surprise up-charges or extras. We were given options for any needed upgrades and the staff went above and beyond to make this day the best of our life. The tasting to plan our menu was an event in itself, my parents were so pleased and excited, none of us could wait, the food was beyond anything \"wedding\" experience I have ever had, and it’s truly the best food at any fine dining restaurant. I have a special diet which they accommodated without a blink, they are Gluten Free in everything, and the food itself was 5 star rating, while they made my food special, they never gave up quality and taste. I wanted a Fruit Presentation on a dessert table because i don't eat sugar, and they made an amazing fruit tree it was spectacular, ornate and set as beautiful addition in the ballroom. We had our wedding and reception in the Ballroom. This room is set apart from any other. Its marble floors, mirrored wall, stained glass windows, amazing drapery, and the lighting is trimmed around the room perfectly, everything is sparkling and the room needs no decorations. The WESTIN provides the centerpieces, table linens, chairs, all glassware, flatware, china, bar, etc...Oh yea that's included in the set pricing. Our guests and we were treated like royalty, by every staff member. We were shown the reception rooms before guests were let in to make sure it was set to our standards, and again they exceeded and continued to impress me with the details. The cocktail area is outside the ballroom, and on the balcony, which is a beautiful scene of the hotel and is picture perfect. The WESTIN also holds only 1 party on that level, so no \"crashers\". We were granted the presidential suite for our wedding night and surprised with complementary champagne and fruit in our room when we returned with a beautiful card. The morning after we also arranged for breakfast/brunch before guests left. Special dietary requests again, all accommodated with ease and perfection, the staff had it set beautifully, and nothing lost with their attention to detail, while giving excellent service. It was a worry free experience, and not any issue, except our own when we realized we did forget the Challah (blessing of the bread) and Linsey the wedding planner, ran across the street to the kosher deli and found us some. Now that is some dedication and customer service! I want everyone to have the perfect wedding like us! The WESTIN delivers, hands down the Very Very best in everything. Feel like a Queen and King, it’s once in a lifetime! We sure did, and our guests still rave about their experiences there as well. It’s the worry free, attention to details, and sparkle that make this place the very best choice, and honestly, there is no competition. The WESTIN and Staff are in a League of their own!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Westin. Everything was PERFECT! Linsey did a phenomenal job planning and assisting in all the details of the day. I felt like she took the time to get to know us and help us plan a day that was just for us. The ballroom speaks for itself, it is breathtaking; however, it is the personal service that sets it apart. \r Everyone at our wedding complimented the food and drink. This is not your typical \"wedding food\" it was delicious. It was a plated dinner where everyone was served quickly. The wait staff and the kitchen staff were fantastic. \r As soon as I walked into the room I knew I could see myself getting married here. Still I could not believe how beautiful it looked the day of the wedding. My mom had worked on various little details to personalize the wedding and Linsey made sure they were all put in the right place. Linsey even made it a point to get my mom early to show her the room before all the guest came in. It was a small gesture that meant a lot to my mom and is a prime example of how Linsey went out of her way to make our day perfect.\r During our reception my cousin pulled my husband and I aside. He introduce us to a couple that just stopped by as they were celebrating their 10th anniversary. They were married at the Westin Dec. 27th, 2003 and said they had the most perfect day, loved the Westin, and just wanted to wish us all the best. They gave us a twenty and said the first celebration drink was on them. My husband and I have already said we will do this for our ten year. Just another example of how special a venue to have your wedding!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Westin. Everything was PERFECT! Linsey did a phenomenal job planning and assisting in all the details of the day. I felt like she took the time to get to know us and help us plan a day that was just for us. The ballroom speaks for itself, it is breathtaking; however, it is the personal service that sets it apart. \r Everyone at our wedding complimented the food and drink. This is not your typical \"wedding food\" it was delicious. It was a plated dinner where everyone was served quickly. The wait staff and the kitchen staff were fantastic. \r As soon as I walked into the room I knew I could see myself getting married here. Still I could not believe how beautiful it looked the day of the wedding. My mom had worked on various little details to personalize the wedding and Linsey made sure they were all put in the right place. Linsey even made it a point to get my mom early to show her the room before all the guest came in. It was a small gesture that meant a lot to my mom and is a prime example of how Linsey went out of her way to make our day perfect.\r During our reception my cousin pulled my husband and I aside. He introduce us to a couple that just stopped by as they were celebrating their 10th anniversary. They were married at the Westin Dec. 27th, 2003 and said they had the most perfect day, loved the Westin, and just wanted to wish us all the best. They gave us a twenty and said the first celebration drink was on them. My husband and I have already said we will do this for our ten year. My husband and I recently got married at the Westin Columbus. We worked with Linsey Bruce who did a great job making sure that all of our needs were met and our day ran smoothly. Everyone says that something is bound to go wrong at your wedding and I can say that we had everything go perfectly. \r\rThe ballroom at the Westin is beautiful and does not require a lot of your time and effort to make look pretty. \r\rThe staff is professional and friendly and did a superb job at the wedding reception. \r\rOur one issue was with our guests making reservations through the hotel. We were given a wedding hotel reservation rate and some guests had issues booking rooms in the wedding block and at the price discussed. All issues with the hotel reservations were resolved prior to the wedding but was it was an unnecessary headache when we could have been focusing on other wedding details!

Everything was wonderful, the food, the staff, the ballroom, the hotel rooms. The only issue we had was working with Linsey's schedule. She was not flexible. So if you go with this place, make sure you work with Craig, he is great!

The venue speaks for itself- gorgeous, elegant and timeless. Wedding day was perfectly executed, staff took care of breakdown and putting our cards in the bridal suites safe and gifts in the room. From morning to night when we had champagne and strawberries, the Westin knows how to throw a classy, tasteful and elegant affair.

My husband and I got married on September 1st of this year. With the amazing help of Linsey Bruce all of our rooms were properally reserved, clean and very comfortable. When my husband checked in they said they no longer had the corner king suite available and they had to upgrade us to the presidental suite! Wow! It was beautiful and such a nice surprise. Linsey had chocolate cover strawberries and champagne delivered to us. What a sweet heart! The following morning we held a brunch in the lobby of the Westin. We had an omelet station and once again Linsey coordinated everything perfectly. We actually had extra guests attend the brunch and they were able to accomidate everyone very quickly. The only complaint I would have is that the front desk did not pass out our welcome baskets to our guests as they arrived for check in. It's unfortunate that my in laws went through the hasstle of making the baskets and they were probably just thrown away. Over all it was a good experience and if I were planning an event I would be sure to ask for Linsey Bruce, she made the experience so amazing and less stressful. THANK YOU LINSEY! \r

I cant say enough good things about the The Westin\r\r1) The Ballroom is amazing...beautiful enough to stand on its own which allows you cut down the decor budget.. cause it aint cheap but so worth it\r\r2) The service is 5 star bartenders remember your guests drinks and are mixing them as soon as they arrive at the bar ( many of my guests commented on this)\r\r3) Linsey is the current event manager and she is amazing ! She returns emails in a timely fashion and is very hands on with her brides and she knows the bridal business in Columbus. I said to my new hubby I cant image she treats all of her brides like this! Especially given the fact that the event staff had to flip the room during cocktail hour, the overall effect and details alike were everything I'd hoped they'd be.\r\rMy mom was very involved in planning since I was out of town for the majority of my engagement, but she was very impressed with Lindsey (the event manager at The Westin) and the rest of the staff. Although I interacted with them less, I also found them very easy to work with.\r\rI highly recommend using The Westin as your venue. And don't hesitate to host both the reception and ceremony there! I was raised in Columbus, but have lived in Manhattan for almost the past decade. After being away for so long and knowing the level of service and quality of service that is expected and provided in New York I was very apprehensive about having my wedding in my home town not knowing any vendors firsthand. All of my vendors aside from my invitations were from local Columbus vendors . . . and in the end the only vendor I had a problem with was the one that was New York based! \r\rThe Westin, Linsey Bruce in particular, spent countless hours planning and ensuring my event was PERFECT. She went above AND BEYOND anything I could have possibly asked for. From ensuring the food at my kosher-style event was better tasting then any non-kosher event I have ever attended, to trying a new format with the room that she had never done (that ended up perfect) to make me happy, to helping us with our overlays, answering my 5 billion phone calls and emails, making sure we did not miss any detail and ensuring the actual evening was PERFECT, I have never in my 8 years being in a client facing role dealt with anyone and any staff with such a level of professionalism and is so good at their jobs. The Westin is literally the Pierre of Columbus and I would recommend it to anyone and EVERYONE. \r\rMy lighting (who was done by an external vendor, Keith Davis at PSAV, who the Westin uses exclusively for lighting and draping) was something all my guests were talking about. The food was EXCELLENT and creative -- the chef went above and beyond to think of creative non-meat alternatives for us, and our guests were wild about all of our choices. The turnover of the ballroom was flawless, quick and organized. The service, servers, bar tenders, hotel desk staff, etc. were beyond accommodating and nice. I could not have asked for anything more! \r\rMy wedding was PERFECT... and I am a perfectionist who does not use those words lightly. Thank you to Linsey, Keith, Elsie and everyone else at the Westin for making sure our wedding was perfect!!

I have dreamed of my wedding since I was a little girl. The Westin Columbus Grand Ballroom totally fit the bill. It's the most beautiful room - marble floors, floor length windows, really high ceiling. It's a historic building! Linsey was there supporting us each and every step of the way. She really is amazing at her job! She responded quickly to emails and the never-ending questions I had leading up to the wedding. The service was great during the reception - the bar staff and waiters were a delight, very professional, kind and courteous. \rEverything was simply perfect. We loved the tuscan table, the room looked fabulous in all its glorious-ness, dinner was super yummy (we heard from many that it was awesome steak!) and we overall had a splendid experience. Our hotel room was perfect, loved how close it was to the reception hall. I didn't have to worry about a thing because Linsey took great care of us.\rIt was a very magical day for us and Linsey helped us in a big way by making the reception amazing!!\rWe would recommend the Westin Columbus to anyone who's newly engaged and looking for a classy, elegant reception hall.

The Westin's grand ballroom is an unbelievable room. Every photograph friends took there is something beautiful in the background! The wedding coordinator, Linsey Bruce, was very helpful and was super responsive whether by email or phone. The ballroom is so gorgeous and everything came together perfectly for my big day! The staff at the Westin does a great job making sure everything goes seamlessly the day of. As a bride who has planned most of the wedding myself (I did not hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator), it was great to be able to know that I did not have anything to worry about on my wedding day - the staff at the Westin had everything covered! I had my wedding reception at the Westin and from start to finish, we were happy with every aspect the venue had to offer. The ballroom is gorgeous - marble floors and beautiful gold accents. Linsey Bruce, the event coordinator, is incredible! She put me at ease the first time I met her and made sure the reception ran smoothly. Linsey was always willing to offer her opinion and had wonderful suggestions on how to make the nighty run smoothly. I highly recommend working with her! The staff was also very professional and made all the guests feel comfortable. We had around 270 guests and I felt like that was the perfect amount to have in that room. I'm sure Linsey could work her magic on larger numbers however 270 made the ballroom feel full. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend the Westin!

We had our reception in the Westin Ballroom. They have a great area for the cocktail hour as well, that is separate from the Ballroom which is a unique atmosphere. All my guests said it was the most beautiful reception they had ever been to with the marble floors, the gold archways, the windows, and high ceilings, it is superior to any venue we explored. (and we toured at least 15 reception venues) The staff were VERY professional, friendly, and we had the same people for our rehearsal dinner, reception, and brunch the next morning which made it easy and personable. The Westin also offers their presidential suite for the bride and groom the night of the reception with champagne waiting! It was a dream come true. It's a little pricy, but worth the money. I would recommend this to any bride/groom.

The staff at the Westin were extremely responsive and helpful in planning my wedding, and it was beautiful. It was great to have my wedding here, I definitely didn't need a wedding coordinator because the staff from the Westin made sure I had all my i's dotted and t's crossed. I had rave reviews about my food as well, and everyone was very attentive before and during the reception as well. Highly recommended!

The staff at the Westin were extremely responsive and helpful in planning my wedding, and it was beautiful. It was great to have my wedding here, I definitely didn't need a wedding coordinator because the staff from the Westin made sure I had all my i's dotted and t's crossed. I had rave reviews about my food as well, and everyone was very attentive before and during the reception as well. Highly recommended!

The Westin was a wonderful location to host my November wedding. Of all the locations around Columbus that I have seen I believe the Westin has the most beautiful ballroom of all. The staff went above and beyond my expectations and the food was absolutely wonderful. You can't go wrong having your wedding at the Westin Columbus!

\rThere's no question that the Westin hotel is visually stunning, and the staff is equally incredible. They were there with us every step of the way, and worked with us on every possible thing we needed all the way through our special night. The atmosphere was incredible, the food was simply amazing, and the staff made us feel like we were their only guests. I can't tell you how many compliments we got from our guests about our wedding day. I highly recommend the Westin to anyone for any reason.

The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom, a lovely, exquisite venue that was elegant and perfect for our daughter's wedding. The hotel also provided convenient accommodations for the guests who needed them. The food and service were outstanding and we were very pleased with our whole experience. We had many compliments from our guests and it was also very fun.

The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom, a lovely, exquisite venue that was elegant and perfect for our daughter's wedding. The hotel also provided convenient accommodations for the guests who needed them. The food and service were outstanding and we were very pleased with our whole experience. We had many compliments from our guests and it was also very fun.

This venue is spectacular. It is absolutely beautiful. When you add to that there is incredible service, it is a total win. I was able to relax on my big day as they handled all the setup, even all my crazy little details.

The ballroom at the westin is amazing. With all the marble and victorian charm, you can't go wrong. Because of it's beauty it requires very little to decorate-- we only added centerpices on the tables, and the room was gorgeous (a money saver). \rWhile the cost of the Westin isn't cheap, a lot is included and for us it made the most sense not to have to worry about booking every little item. They take care of it for you and it's all very elegant.\rWe worked with Michael and he was very helpful. He had a lot of ideas for ceremony sites and worked with us in creating our dinner menu. He knows what he is doing and won't lead you in the wrong direction.\rSome other perks for booking at the Westin:\r- We received so many compliments on the food we served.\r- Bride and groom get a complimentary suite the night before and night of the wedding. It is amazing and it really makes you feel special on the wedding weekend.\r- The service is impeccible.

I really wanted to be in a hotel for my guest's convenience but did not want a standard conference room feel to the ballroom. The Westin has a beautiful marble ballroom that is stunning and does not need a lot of decoration. In addition, they were easy to work with, the staff was freindly and helpful the day of (they made everything look exactly as I requested!), and all of our guests raved about the food. Finally, they gave us a complimentary room (that was huge) for Friday and Saturday night.

We could not have been more pleased with the outcome of our wedding at the Westin Columbus. The ball room was amazing! The staff treated us as if we were royalty and made the biggest day of our lives so beautiful and one that we will never forget. The building and architecture are just stunning and we felt so blessed to be wed in such a historical venue. The suites are to die for and the food was simply fablous. It is a must see! We would like to thank everyone at the Westin for making our special day like a dream.

We could not have been more pleased with the outcome of our wedding at the Westin Columbus. The ball room was amazing! The entire weekend was amazing but it wouldn't have been the same if it wasn't for the fabulously attentive and gracious staff at The Westin! From the front desk to the food to the housekeeping staff to the sales team...all were wonderful and helped to make our dream wedding come true!!!

We booked The Westin for our reception because we fell in the love with the elegance of the ballroom and desired an exceptional level of service that we knew The Westin could provide. We worked with Michael who was so accommodating and helpful. The day of the wedding, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious and everything went smoothly. The Westin has truly mastered the art of the wedding reception!

I stayed in the Westin Friday night with my sister and parents before the wedding and Saturday night in a different room with DH. When I called in February to see if we could check into our room early since our ceremony/reception (at another venue) started just after the normal check-in time they were very helpful. They put a note into the computer and asked that I call back the night before since they didn't know about room capacity that early. When we checked in and reached our room, we realized they had given us a complimentary room upgrade and included chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and a card signed by all of the staff. It was a pleasant surprise since that was the last thing on my mind when I had called them.

It was in the grand ballroom which was absolutely beautiful. It was extremely ornate. Everything was exceptional! The staff was extremely helpful. The cocktail area was very large. They had side rooms for the vendors. The food was very good.
