I highly recommend The Westin for your HHI wedding. From the venue tour, to the food tasting, to planning, to the end of the night, everything was great. It is a beautiful venue. Heather was fantastic and always willing to help with our questions. Everyone loved the food. One friend even said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. It was an incredible night and we wish we could relive it all over!

I highly recommend The Westin for your HHI wedding. From the venue tour, to the food tasting, to planning, to the end of the night, everything was great. It is a beautiful venue. Heather was fantastic and always willing to help with our questions. Everyone loved the food. One friend even said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. It was an incredible night and we wish we could relive it all over!

I saw the Westin's Grand Ocean terrace online when researching wedding reception venues in HHI, and I immediately fell in love! It was my dream wedding location and the most beautiful venue I'd seen. We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party in the Mitchelville Gazebo room which has an outdoor deck with views of the resort for guests that wanted to get some fresh air. The cocktail hour was on the Oceanfront deck which is surrounded by tall palm trees and a direct view of the ocean, and our reception was in the Grand Ocean Terrace which has huge, floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Ocean that can be opened to allow the ocean breeze inside. The Westin was so accommodating and very responsive. The staff members were so patient with our many questions and numerous emails back and forth. They were willing to customize anything for us, from the drink menu to the main dishes served.And not only was the venue PERFECT, but the FOOD was just as amazing! I had so many guests raving about the food--from the appetizers, to the main dish, to the dessert and even to the late night chicken fingers and tots! Everything was perfect! I wish I could do it all over again!

The actual venue is amazing, and our wedding, June 4, 2023, was absolutely perfect. However, working with the Westin leading up to the big day wasn't always the easiest -- they didn't even set aside a time for us to do our rehearsal the day before, which we assumed came with reserving the venue for a wedding, especially given the price of doing so. Additionally, the check-in process was a nightmare for some of our guests as their rooms weren't ready for hours after they were supposed to be (check-in at 3pm but rooms weren't ready until after 6pm). Also, some of my relatives were double-charged on their cards for the rooms and had a really difficult/confusing time trying to figure it out at the front desk, ultimately resolving to just call AMEX and have them figure it out for them. Our wedding planner from Sincerely Yours Events, Haley Allen, saved us mulitple times working with the Westin - she was absolutely wonderful. Overall, this is a great place for a picture-perfect beach-front wedding but be prepared to deal with some frustrating service along the way.

I had my wedding June 3rd of this year. It was a destination wedding for us and it was the best most beautiful wedding i could have ever dreamed of. The Westin paired with Beth Baldwin Weddings is 100% the way to go. I loved every minute and Heather was THE BEST.

It's hard to put into words how perfect this venue was for my daughter's wedding weekend. From the first point of contact, our experience was exceptional. We were looking for an upscale venue that would accommodate a 3 day wedding weekend without leaving the property, and we hit the jackpot. The Westin/Marriott property was the most beautiful one we'd previewed and they had us at Hello. The grounds were flawless and landscaped beautifully.We were very impressed with the length of time their staff had been employed. It was evident by the service given. Heather and Hanna were very personable, communicative, flexible and true to their word with delivering. They referred excellent vendors to work with which made for the perfect team.We busted our budget a bit, however it was worth every penny and all guests commented on the excellent wedding food menu. They offered multiple spaces included shaded seating areas, outdoor ping pong and cornhole, sand volleyball, covered cabanas with tvs and fridge, and a beautiful spa that accommodated our entire wedding party. Would 100% recommend!

Hilton Head was a destination wedding for us. The moment the doors opened to the Grand Ocean Terrace, I knew it was the venue for us. The venue is gorgeous, the ocean front deck was gorgeous (even in 90 degree heat) and The Westin was more than accommodating to our every need. We cannot thank every person involved enough as the day was truly perfect for us! Our guests have been complimenting how gorgeous it was and how every detail was covered. It’s a 10/5 stars for us!

My husband, parents, and I toured all of the most popular wedding venues on Hilton Head Island and we all agreed that the Westin was the nicest and most beautiful venue out of all of them! The Grand Ocean Terrace is absolutely stunning and is certainly one of the most unique wedding venues our guests have ever been to! Our wedding day was truly perfect and everything from the service to the food was top notch. I can't thank Heather Fishburn and everybody else we encountered at the Westin enough! Heather was so great to work with and we're so grateful for all of the time and effort she put into making this the best weekend of my and my husband's life! Heather's 20+ years of experience in the wedding industry really showed and she and the whole Westin team are true professionals! If you're getting married in Hilton Head, choose the Westin!

The Westin Hilton Head was my dream venue, and our wedding was even more beautiful than I could have imagined! We had our destination wedding there on April 8, 2022. Everything I had planned with our Event Manager, Desirae Dean, came to life and was spectacular! All of our guests raved about the food saying it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! The location is amazing, and the Grand Ocean Terrace room could not be any more breath taking! The whole team at the Westin were so kind and made us feel so special. I highly recommend, and we can't wait to come back to visit!

Aside from the staff being so accommodating and great to work with, this venue hardly needs ANY décor as it's beautiful all on its own, the food is incredible, and the rooms are GORGEOUS. This was not the cheapest venue that we looked at but it surely was worth every single penny. I HIGHLY recommend getting married here!

My husband and I got married at the Westin in June 2021, although our original date was in June 2020. The Westin was very flexible with moving the date due to covid-19 and made our day extremely special. The venue was BREATHTAKING and all of our guests commented on what a wonderful room the Grand Ocean Terrace was. We originally planned for cocktail hour to be outside on the deck, but moved it inside due to the threat of rain, which our guests said was even better since the entire event was in air conditioning while looking out over the water. The other common compliment we received was how delicious the food was. We LOVED the filet and snapper entre choices as much as our guests did. The food truly was phenomenal. Overall, the day was fabulous and a breeze thanks to our coordinator Kristin for taking care of all details ahead of time. My only complaint would be the gift bag situation - the Westin delivers the bags you supply to each guest at night and not all our guests received the bags. I would recommend changing the policy to handing out gift bags upon arrival at the front desk. But such a minor hiccup in what was a fabulous weekend and wedding. We would absolutely recommend having your wedding or any event here!

We were initially supposed to get married last June during the pandemic, but we had to postpone our wedding a year. The Westin was amazing throughout that unprecedented experience; the team was extremely accommodating during all the changes that resulted from planning a wedding during a pandemic. We worked closely with Kristen Kilbane for almost two years in planning and postponing our wedding, and she was incredible from start to finish. I know how difficult it was for the team and the hotel as a whole after completely shutting down during lockdown, then re-opening but at 50% staff capacity, and then having to manage all of the cancelations and postponements of major events. It was an incredibly difficult time, but through it all, Kristen was extremely responsive, professional, and went above and beyond our expectations.We looked at many different venues on Hilton Head Island and other islands in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina because we knew we wanted a destination wedding down South (we are Ohioans)! The Westin was at the top of our budget, but we were confident that the team and the venue would deliver on that value, and then some. No other venue came close to the wow-factor of the Oceanfront Terrace. Because we aren't local, we planned everything via email and phone. We had never been to The Westin before choosing it as our wedding venue which was worrisome because I thought it would be more difficult to plan. Because the team was so professional, responsive, and offered great recommendations, the process was easy and we knew we were in great hands from the beginning. What's also unique about the Westin is that they have so many different event spaces! We were able to host all of the wedding events at The Westin in different locations which made it extremely easy for all of our guests, and us! The service during the wedding weekend events was impeccable and our guests commented on how great the food was at all of our various wedding events. Everything was perfectly coordinated and no detail was forgotten. I was truly amazed at how seamless and perfect our wedding day was. If you want a stress-free wedding day at the most beautiful oceanfront venue, choose The Westin HHI! HUGE thank you to Kristen, Hannah, and the whole Westin events team for making our special day perfect. It was even better than what I dreamed it would be!

We had a smaller wedding, the reception was held the Mitchellville Gazebo abs the reception was in a portion of the ballroom. Our event coordinator Kristen was amazing! She was so easy to work with, on top of all the details, and was always available whenever I needed to chat. And in general the resort itself is lovely, the staff at the pool bar was amazing to me and my family throughout the week.

The Westin is such a gorgeous resort, and it was no different for our wedding day! The Grand Ocean Terrace was everything I was looking for in a wedding venue. The room is so gorgeous even without all of the decorations and flowers, but those really put it over the top! And Kristen was so amazing to work with, especially throughout all the COVID craziness! She was patient with my thousands of questions and always answered promptly. She was very organized, and I had no stress about venue setup and the food on the day of my wedding because I knew that Kristen would take care of everything and make sure it was exactly how I wanted! The deck was gorgeous for cocktail hour, and they cleared an entire area of the beach for our ceremony setup, so even though it was a public beach it still felt private and secluded form everyone else on the beach. The Westin is such a gorgeous resort, and it was no different for our wedding day! The Grand Ocean Terrace was everything I was looking for in a wedding venue. The room is so gorgeous even without all of the decorations and flowers, but those really put it over the top! And Kristen was so amazing to work with, especially throughout all the COVID craziness! She was patient with my thousands of questions and always answered promptly. She was very organized, and I had no stress about venue setup and the food on the day of my wedding because I knew that Kristen would take care of everything and make sure it was exactly how I wanted! The deck was gorgeous for cocktail hour, and they cleared an entire area of the beach for our ceremony setup, so even though it was a public beach it still felt private and secluded form everyone else on the beach. And as a bonus both nights we stayed at the resort (the night before with my bridesmaids and our wedding night with my husband) there was complimentary fruit and nuts, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne waiting in our room for us. When Covid cancelled our original plans up north, we decided to change our plans and head south. I was initially in contact with Hannah Bozard and she was prompt and professional in responding to emails. We booked the Westin site unseen and she made everything so easy when initially figuring out the details. After we signed our contract we were set up with a coordinator, Kristen Kilbane. Planning a wedding 11.5 hours away is no easy feat and Kristen made sure everything was running smoothly from afar. It is always a good sign when you speak to other vendors who have worked with Kristen and they tell you \"you're in good hands\". Since we were so far away, Kristen allowed us to do our menu tasting on a Friday, since we were unable to attend the usual menu tasting days work out with our schedules. Kirsten was prompt when responding to emails and open to any last minute changes we had. She worked well with our wedding planner and everything on the rehearsal dinner night and wedding ran so smooth, I didn't have a care in the world. Now onto the venue, you will never see a venue so beautiful. When we finally saw it in person, I had goosebumps and honestly almost cried. From the amazing ocean views to the beautiful interior, it does not disappoint. The shining star of the Westin was their food, oh my gosh their food. We had a one on one menu tasting with the chef and he was PHENOMENAL as a person and as a chef. Our guests have not stopped raving about the food and we were told by multiple guests it was hands down the best wedding food they've ever had. The service of the waiters and waitresses should not be forgotten. They were all so kind offering congratulations, telling me how beautiful my dress was, and even offering me advice on the rehearsal dinner night. One waitress in particular was at our menu tasting, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. Her name was Yvonne, she was absolutely amazing!The only complaint I have is not to do with the wedding staff, but the actual hotel customer service. We had multiple guests who couldn't find the oceanfront deck. They went up to the guest information services desk to ask for directions and were met with rude responses and \"I don't know\". They did not offer any help whatsoever even though their title was literally guest services. This was not the only instance met with rude responses unfortunately, multiple guests commented on other instances. Also, when my husband showed up to the ceremony and couldn't find parking, he asked if they could valet his truck. He was met with a sorry we can't. When the Groom and I were touring venues, we walked into the Grand Ocean Terrace at the Westin HHI and were completely blown away! The room is beautiful, spacious, and has amazing views of the ocean – it is one of a kind. Once we decided that it was the place we wanted to have our reception, we worked with Kristen Kilbane and Hannah Bozard to finalize our initial contract and details. Two months later… COVID-19 happened. Throughout the entire summer and fall of 2020, Kristen and the rest of the Westin team were amazing, continuing to stay in contact with us, and finally making several COVID-related adjustments in the six months leading up the to wedding. They allowed us to remove the brunch we had initially scheduled as part of our initial contract, to reduce the number of gathering events we were hosting. As the last four weeks arrived, it was clear that with reduced guests due to COVID-19, we were going to be well below our contracted food and beverage minimum. Again, the Westin team worked with us to adjust the minimum to fit our numbers. We had already signed a contract, so the Westin definitely didn’t have to work with us – but they are amazing and care about their couples, and made the whole process easy and stress free! I was never nervous working with Kristen. Kristen also was in constant contact with me the final week before the wedding as we made other final tweaks to numbers and food, she is amazing! She was always on top of everything! She made sure the day ran completely smoothly on the Westin’s end. The Chef also deserves a note – the food here is amazing! Definitely not your standard chicken or beef meal that you usually get at weddings. Everything tasted so good, we had a hard time deciding at our tasting what our final meal choices would be! All of the guests commented how good the food was; the Groom and I made time to sit down and enjoy our meals too! The Chef was also incredibly accommodating to vegans and other food allergies, those guests still raved about their meals! The Westin also made sure to make all possible and necessary precautions in regards to COVID-19; we and our guests never felt unsafe or uncomfortable! All of our guests commented on how beautiful and nice the resort is. Overall, the Westin went above and beyond all of my expectations, upgrading our rooms, leaving sweet notes and treats for the Groom and I in our room, and just generally making us feel so incredibly special on this weekend. I can’t recommend the Westin HHI for weddings enough!!!

My husband and I had our original April wedding in the FL Keys canceled due to COVID, and due to various circumstances, could not re-plan it with the same venue. Therefore I was scrambling to find another venue to start planning a new wedding from scratch when I came across beautiful photos of the Grand Ocean Terrace at the Westin. It was absolutely breath-taking, and I knew I had to see it in person. After seeing this gorgeous venue and talking with the helpful Westin staff, we booked for December 2020, and we are SO grateful that we did! We worked with Heather, and she was fantastic! She was super responsive and flexible with all of our needs. They handled our wedding flawlessly, even in the midst of COVID, which is not easy to do! Heather and her team worked hard to make our wedding absolutely gorgeous and smooth from start to finish, and they succeeded! They are 100% professionals at what they do, and they made the process so much less stressful than it could've been. I could not recommend them more strongly. Our guests raved about the food, the gorgeous room, and the venue in general! They even went so far as to leave us champagne and snacks in our room as well! Huge shoutout to Heather and her staff, thank you SO much for all your hard work!

We absolutely loved our wedding at the Westin! Even throughout Covid, in the end everything worked out. We didn't get to use the room we wanted for the reception due to the companies COVID policy and our guest number, but they did their best to still make our wedding a dream. Kristen and Hannah are wonderful to work with throughout each step of the wedding planning process. The views are gorgeous, and the food is incredible. We had our wedding at the Westin in HHI in Oct 2020. This was the best decision we could have made. If you're looking for top notch quality and service, you will get it at the Westin. My husband and I really wanted a \"beachy\" themed wedding without needing to actually have the ceremony on the sand. The Ocean Front Deck at the Westin is unlike any venue we toured, and we looked at many venues on the NC/SC coast. The Westin keeps the deck in immaculate shape and with the palm trees surrounding it and it being positioned right along the ocean, it's picture perfect for a coastal wedding. The reception space offered in the Grand Ocean Terrace is the coolest venue space we toured, it's absolutely beautiful and so incredibly spacious (which is awesome if you're thinking about covid still being a factor). The coolest part of the GOT is that the back wall is completely lined with window doors along the ocean that can be opened if the weather is nice. We were able to have the doors open for our wedding, had incredible weather, and had an indoor/outdoor feel with a stunning backdrop of the beach. We had SO MANY compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue was. Not to mention the resort itself is beautiful and a great place to offer your guests to stay for a \"destination wedding\" weekend. Many of our guests chose to come early and we had a full beach day before festivities started on Friday, which was really neat. The resort is so large that they have so many venue spaces you can use for other events if you'd like a full weekend of wedding events. This also makes it nice for the fact that they have many rain back-up options. We were able to host our rehearsal dinner in a beautiful room at the hotel (Mitchelville) that has a big outdoor balcony, a Welcome party outside by the Koi pond with string light along the palm trees, and a farewell brunch. It was so neat to be able to offer your guests multiple events throughout the weekend (where they didn't even have to leave the resort) and also allowed us more time to spend with our guests. Lastly, I want to speak to the staff at the Westin. We worked with Kristen as our wedding coordinator through the Westin and she was fantastic and probably worked harder than any vendor we had to make our wedding weekend perfect; I felt like we were in contact every week for a year and she was extremely responsive and made sure she did everything she could to meet our requests and always tried to be flexible. The servers/bartenders/chef at the Westin also provide great and extremely professional service, not to the mention the food is INCREDIBLE! Lastly, given that our wedding fell during COVID, we were not forced to make any major changes with the wedding and the Westin was so flexible in making some adjustments to our initial plan to make sure all our guests felt safe. Furthermore the Westin is following their own set of strict safety measures to make sure everyone is as safe as possible including staff/servers wearing masks and adjusting how a traditional buffet style meal would be served. Our wedding was so incredibly perfect, I can't imagine it being better even before covid. if you want a truly outstanding, picture-prefect, and reliable venue who is experienced and will make your wedding day go off without a hitch, choose the Westin HHI!

If I could give Kristen and her team more than 5 stars I would! My husband, daughter, her fiancé and his parents visited the venue Sep 2019 not having an appointment. I walked in and just asked for a brochure and said we would make an appointment and come back. The groups director came out with the packet and told us the wedding director was getting ready for a wedding that day but she would be happy to take us around. We immediately fell in love with the location and booked it for their 10/10/2020 wedding. COVID hit in Mar and there were some concerns as to whether this wedding would even be able to happen. We did have to restructure how we were doing the reception (changing from stations to plated dinner for social distancing, etc.) and Kristen and her team answered every question and addressed every concern. From the time we arrived a few days before the wedding it was as if the red carpet was rolled out for us. We had several events scheduled for the weekend, Bridesmaids Lunch, Rehearsal Dinner & Morning After Brunch in addition to the reception and we had the same catering team the whole time! The team was wonderful and the food was fantastic! The newly remodeled Oceans Room was the perfect spot for the Bridesmaids Lunch, Mitchelville was great for the rehearsal dinner and breakfast but nothing could compare to the Oceans Terrace for the reception! The spa facilities were also pretty terrific. From the massages (best I have ever had) to the wedding day hair and makeup, just outstanding. The day of the wedding we had questionable weather and there was a real possibility we would need to go to plan B for the ceremony. It was still raining at 2p when the girls were getting ready but by 345 the clouds cleared, the sun came out and maintenance was drying of the deck with leaf blowers. By the time the time the guests began arriving for the 530p ceremony you couldn't even tell it has rained. The Westin Resort is just that good! ;) There are just not enough words to express our gratitude to the the entire Westin Hilton Head team. We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our daughter's wedding!

Everything about our wedding was absolute magic. Planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic is chaotic and Heather at the Westin made every moment easy. Her communication and follow through was everything this bridezilla needed. We had our welcome party, ceremony and reception at the Westin and every moment was perfect. The entire team went above and beyond for our guests. Everything was beyond my expectations! All of my guests RAVED about the food on both nights! I cannot thank Heather and the team at the Westin enough for everything they did for us! If you’re looking for a venue, look no further!

When we had to scale down our weeding from 150 to 15, they helped us every step of the way and didn't try to screw us over. The Westin Hilton Head was absolutely incredible! My husband and I couldn’t have pictured a better place to say “I do” - and the staff is absolutely amazing. I honestly don’t know where to start. My daughter’s wedding was in the planning stages beginning May 2019. Fast forward to March 2020 and the pandemic. Our hearts sank as we were beginning to think their wedding and reception would not happen. Their wedding was June 13, 2020 and there are not adequate words to describe the respect and appreciation to everyone at the Westin in their tireless effort to pull this off. Kristin and Hannah were there for all of our questions, and there were a lot of unknowns up until a few weeks before the reception. The Ocean Grand Terrace room was an absolute fairy tale venue. My daughter, her husband and all of our guests had a fabulous time!! The food was outstanding. A big thanks to Mark, the lead chef, for his wonderful tasting experience weeks before. He didn’t let us down! Everything went very smoothly. Our reception was still packed with guests when the time was up but we were then offered an after party in another very spacious room with our own bartenders. It was a night we will never forget!!! Thank you to the Westin and their wonderful staff!! It truly was an amazing night!! The view of the beach from the reception room and the use of the balcony overlooking the beach was just beautiful.

We had our wedding this past weekend at the Westin Hilton Head and it exceeded all of our expectations. From the first time we toured the property to the minute we left, our experience was extraordinary. Kristen helped us with everything from setting up the tasting to making sure my parents were able to get into their room early. The staff at the hotel was so accommodating and made our after-wedding pool party a huge success. I would recommend this venue to ANYONE who is looking to have the perfect food, service, setting, etc.

My husband and I got married on September 14th at The Westin. It was a destination wedding with about 80 friends and family. EVERYTHING WENT OFF WITHOUT A HITCH! The staff at The Westin was absolutely wonderful to work with. As a soon-to-be-wed couple, we were a little on edge the week of and Kristin was so accommodating to our last minute changes. The ceremony was beautiful - the weather was a little windy, but nothing we could control. The only downside to the ceremony was that I had to walk with my dad to the ceremony deck from the Terrace and there were people sitting on the lounge chairs ask and in the pool clapping and wishing me well as I walked down the isle... pretty awkward. I should have asked Kristin if the peanut gallery could be asked to move away for the 5 minutes that I walked from the Terrace to the deck.The reception was even more beautiful than I could have imagined! The food was amazing (nonstop compliments from guests on the food quality! We did stationed foods: prime rib of beef, charcuterie boards, salad bar, and oyster and shrimp cocktail, mini desserts) and all of my vendors were prepared and ready to deliver on their services. I'm still on cloud 9 from the evening! My guests keep reaching out to me telling me that this was the best wedding they have ever been to...and we are from Chicago where events and food are done right! Thank you, The Westin!

WOW!! I recently had my wedding at The Westin Hilton Head and it was truly amazing!! The whole staff at the Westin were so nice and accommodating. They were so helpful in the days leading up to my wedding and even the day of. Kristen was so helpful throughout the whole process!! She is amazing. They truly focused on every detail small or large. The Westin even went out of their way to allow me to have my wedding directly on the beach. My guest could not stop raving about the Westin the entire time we were there. All the restaurants on the resort were superb. Our wedding meal was even amazing! My family and I will return soon for a family vacation!

This was an absolute dream wedding! I live in Orlando, but had my wedding at the Westin in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. I thought wedding planning was supposed to be difficult and stressful, but the hotel's event team were practical, patient and professional. They understood all my concerns and worked around my work and travel schedule to coordinate vendors and tastings. We had our ceremony on the Oceanfront Desk and our reception in the Grand Ocean Terrace. Both event spaces were breathtaking, immaculate and had very good acoustics. We had a menu with everything you could imagine - steak, chicken, seafood, salad, soup, pasta - and it was all delicious! All I remember was being with my family, eating and dancing! I am so lucky to have found this beautiful venue and experienced team to help make my wedding day so special. My husband and I look forward to coming back for our one-year wedding anniversary!

This was an absolute dream wedding! I live in Orlando, but had my wedding at the Westin in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. I thought wedding planning was supposed to be difficult and stressful, but the hotel's event team were practical, patient and professional. They understood all my concerns and worked around my work and travel schedule to coordinate vendors and tastings. We had our ceremony on the Oceanfront Desk and our reception in the Grand Ocean Terrace. Both event spaces were breathtaking, immaculate and had very good acoustics. We had a menu with everything you could imagine - steak, chicken, seafood, salad, soup, pasta - and it was all delicious! All I remember was being with my family, eating and dancing! We hosted a cocktail hour, wedding reception, after party and departure breakfast for 190 - all overlooking the Atlantic Ocean - you can’t create a lovelier venue. Kristen Kilbane and the Westin event staff handled everything professionally and seamlessly. The service, food and decor were top notch.The Grand Ocean Terrace room for the reception was stunning and needed limited decorating as it directly fronts the dunes, the beach and the ocean. A great space, and the sunsets are incredible. There was plenty of room to accommodate a large number of guests with plated dinner and dancing. The glass doors open to an outside deck – which afforded people the ability to go “outside” and never really leave the reception.Our guests are still talking about the \"5 star\" location. They were able to stay in beautiful rooms with direct views of the ocean, hear the sound of the waves and have direct access to the beach from the Westin. Room prices were reasonable and with the ability to take the elevator back to their rooms after the reception our guests didn't have to travel far! All in all a fantastic spot for a destination wedding - Hilton Head Island has so much to do. 12 miles of beautiful ocean front beaches, 24 public and private golf courses, tons of shopping and 250+ restaurants both on or directly off the island.

The wedding was a combination of events over 4 days for close to 300 guests: a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, a traditional Hindu ceremony followed by a traditional Christian ceremony, a reception, and finally, a farewell brunch. Heather worked closely with our wedding planner for months prior to the wedding - and made sure everything was absolutely seamless during the wedding events. We totally appreciated that she was always available by email or phone, and prompt to answer any questions. The Westin has a variety of beautiful event spaces - our favorite was the Grand Ocean Terrace, we made use of this space as many times as we could to enjoy the amazing views! The ballroom was impressive and the Ocean Front Deck was such a gorgeous outdoor space. The food at the Westin was amazing - the variety and options available were perfect for us. The entire food and beverage team made sure that we could work out a menu that made everyone happy. The staff impressed us everyday with their professional service as well us making us feel welcome wherever we went throughout the property. They seemed as excited about the wedding as we were! There was a point during our planning process where there were changes in key staff - we were nervous that what we had planned would not take place as smoothly as planned. The Westin in Hilton Head was the only option for us. We both wanted a beach wedding and this hotel is our favorite place to visit and get away. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The wedding was a huge success and everyone had a wonderful time. Our only disappointment was with our wedding coordinator, Hannah. Approximately one month prior to our event, we were informed that our coordinator was changing from Julia to Hannah. The final planning process and the organization of the day could have been better. The staff had low energy and as the bride, I did not feel well supported throughout the entire day. We were given a schedule, but it was up to us and our DJ to execute everything. When we needed something during setup and at the reception, there was no staff to be found. Overall, however, we had a perfect day and will definitely spend many more vacations at the Westin.

Words cannot express how much we loved having our wedding at The Westin. We specifically worked with Ashlee Fleming during the entire process and I can’t say enough positive things about her. We were an out of town couple with no wedding planner, so it was comforting knowing that The Westin was taking care of a lot of items; food, drinks, tables, chairs, linens, etc. We also held our reception dinner at The Westin which was completely set-up and carried out by them as well.\r\rAll my communication with The Westin was thru Ashlee and she was extremely responsive, professional, and straight forward with anything and everything I sent her way. The Westin provided us with a recommended vendors list which was very helpful when it came to hiring a photographer, florist, officiant, DJ, etc. Not only had all the vendors done work at the Westin previously, but the majority of them already had a working relationship with Ashlee. This was extremely helpful when it came to the actual wedding day because all those vendors contacted Ashlee when they arrived and everything was done behind the scenes without me having to be involved (setting up flowers, cakes, directing people around, etc.). Additionally, all the women in the wedding got their hair and makeup done at the spa in the hotel and they did an amazing job!\r\rOur rehearsal dinner was located at the Koi Pond, we were married outside on the oceanfront deck, and our reception was in the oceanfront pavilion; all were absolutely gorgeous settings. Two out of the three leading compliments we received were with regards to the food and the venue. The hotel did an amazing job with the buffet for the rehearsal dinner as well as the plated dinners during the reception. Once arrived on site, our guests had no reason to leave because everything was so conveniently located within the resort. Everything about the entire experience was perfect thanks to The Westin and in particular thanks to Ashlee.

the view that the Westin offers, without actually being on the water, as well as the beautiful pool area is truly beautiful. The food was incredible. I would not count on the venue setting everything up for you though, the people who were supposed to be setting up my flowers/centerpieces and a few other things ended up having to fix the table cloths and different things like that because they were put on poorly or because some were dirty. I am sure it would have been fixed had we waited on them to notice it, but they were waiting to set up the other decor, so it was easier to just do it ourselves. kind of disappointing because of that aspect, but it did turn out gorgeous and was a perfect wedding day.

We had a combination of beef and chicken with seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes accompanied by a house salad with vinaigrette dressing. We had no complaints and everyone was very satisfied! The staff was prompt in clearing plates but also very careful not to rush. Highly recommend!

Trish and the team at the Westin Hilton Head are absolutely phenomenal! My husband (!!) and I fell in love with the Westin after our first visit there. The Oceanfront deck has a stunning view of the ocean and the Oceanfront pavilion carries over the same stunning views. Trish was there for us every step of the way, even stopping by each event on-site to make sure we were happy, and coordinated with our wedding planner to make sure that we got exactly the wedding we wanted. They went over every last detail to make sure that the Westin staff was able to execute our wedding and reception perfectly and the night could not have gone better. They were very flexible with our room block and any other requests we had. The bridal party all had our hair done in the spa downstairs and Gene and his team did a wonderful job. My up-do looked like a loose bun, but somehow managed to hold together the entire night! The prices in the spa were very reasonable compared to some other options for salon services we found. The food was what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant - our \"surf and turf\" of local mahi-mahi and kobe hangar steak - even when executed for 145 guests still tasted like it was being served in a fine restaurant and not like some mass produced dinner entree. The food was important to us and it was clearly equally as important to the Westin and their new executive chef and it showed. The staff really seem to enjoy what they do and very easily kept all of our guests happy...so happy in fact that quite a few of the waiters and waitresses were dragged up to the dance floor to do the Cupid Shuffle at the end of the night.

The food was what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant - our \"surf and turf\" of local mahi-mahi and kobe hangar steak - even when executed for 145 guests still tasted like it was being served in a fine restaurant and not like some mass produced dinner entree. The food was important to us and it was clearly equally as important to the Westin and their new executive chef and it showed. The staff really seem to enjoy what they do and very easily kept all of our guests happy...so happy in fact that quite a few of the waiters and waitresses were dragged up to the dance floor to do the Cupid Shuffle at the end of the night.

Our wedding was in the midst of their remodel. One would think this would make it a complete inconvenience, disaster or even impossible. However, the Catering team at the Westin made our dream wedding quite the reality. We were able to rely on them for almost every detail. When things got stressful, or I thought I forgot something, the team was there to ensure I had nothing to worry about. We even dumped a last minute rehearsal dinner on the lap of the 'Carolina Cafe' they delivered a spot on service. Of course with any remodel there could be issues, but each concern was addressed immediately and with the sincerest of apologies and unexpected 'sorry for the inconvenience' treats in our room. \r Our wedding day had NO FLAWS. Ladies had hair and makeup done at the attached day spa (very reasonable in prices). The ceremony was on the beach with a perfect set up. We were definitely the priority of the day. The reception dinner choices were absolutely divine, and the place settings were above my expectations. Overall We rated it a 4/5 for value because the reception charges were a little pricey compared to other local options.

I used the hotel for its location on Hilton Head, it was perfectly located between my venue and the touristy \"south end\" of the island. Although half the hotel was under construction at the time, you would have never known it. The hotel worked hard to put all my guests on the same floor and even comped my husband and my room for our wedding night. It is a beautiful location right on the beach and leaves lots of activities for guests to do on the \"downtime\" before and after the wedding. We also hosted a brunch in the Carolina Cafe the next morning, it was spectacular.

After everything that could go wrong went wrong during planning I'm glad at least one thing went right! My guest loved this place and I did too. It was so relaxing and honestly--I think I will return again just because.

The Westin was amazing. Everyone was awesome and so helpful, especially our wedding coordinator , Malely. She was so helpful and always willing to meet or talk about any questions or issues that came up. Throughout the entire process, Malely and the entire Westin staff were so helpful and accommodating. I was so pleased with everything and how everything turned out, it was more than I could have imagined.

The Westin offers many wedding site options as well as great food/drink choices. The wedding coordinators are very nice and had answers to all of my questions & concerns! My only regret was having them make my cake as well.... it didn't turn out as well as I expected!

Hannah Bozard (Director of Catering) After graduating with a degree in Hospitality Management with a concentration in Event Management from Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania, Hannah moved to Hilton Head Island full time and started her career in operations and corporate meetings/events. After a short time, she found her calling in weddings, and the rest is history. Spending the last 14 years working in hospitality, she has held roles in a variety of different areas of service and event management, experiencing hundreds of weddings in her career with no two the same.
