The Westin Maui Resort & Spa Reviews
Krystal Chen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-10-2017 Excellent staff and facility!!! I planned and hosted my destination wedding at the resort 2 weeks ago. Everything went by so smoothly and seamlessly! Brittany and Erin were my wedding coordinators. I planned the whole wedding with them completely via email, without the need to hop on a call. This saved me so much considering the time difference between the time zones. They were extremely flexible; they accommodated all my requests. The facility itself was incredible, surrounded by lush green with tons of tropical plants and birds. It is at a central location, right at the middle of beach and next door to Whaler's village. The mile long beach walk connects resorts, making it an excellent place for morning stroll. The only drawback was there were limited parking space, so you might find your car blocked by other cars early in the morning. The staff members were friendly and approachable. I kept losing my room keys, and might have requested room keys way too many times through my stay. The room itself was spacious and clean! I would highly recommend hosting an event and stay at Westin Reviewed on 15-11-2017
Tawny Oei(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-06-2017 Just had my dream wedding on the Ocean Front Lawn at the Westin Maui. The ladies in the wedding department are AMAZING! I planned a destination wedding with them in 6 months. It was very hard for me to trust everything, as I was in CA and never got to see anything in person, but they definitely delivered everything I had asked for. I worked with Brittany the most, and I thank her for all of her patience in answering the 10 million questions I had. I got so many compliments on the beautiful decor and the dinner that was served. I, and all of my guests, were truly impressed. As a warning though, they sometimes take a couple of days to respond to emails and such, so don't freak out like I did. Brittany knows what she is doing! The wedding was absolutely perfect. Reviewed on 14-07-2017
Holly Schreck(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-01-2016 This hotel is SO amazing. They have flamingos in the lobby... yes...FLAMINGOS! The location is awesome as well. You can walk right down to Whaler's Village, Leilani's, and a few other really good restaurants. We could also walk down by other hotels and access different parts of the beautiful beach. We really enjoy how clean and nice the rooms were as well. The facility is gorgeous. We can't wait to go back! Reviewed on 08-02-2016
Bonnie McLean(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-03-2014 We had our rehearsal dinner here for 14 people and loved the terms to sunset menu. Superb! Reviewed on 03-04-2014
Shawna Snow(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-07-2013 Great Location to shops and dining! The room was next to an elevator so all we could hear was the elevator beeping! I would say they need to invest in some sound proof wall especially at over 400 per night. The did change our room but its the inconvienence on your honeymoon that you just do not want. It is a beautiful hotel though. Reviewed on 27-08-2013

Ashley Traudt(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-08-2012 This hotel has a great. Right on the beach. We went peak season and it was full. The staff was not friendly but they just seamed overwhelmed! However we always had a nice spot on the beach or by the pool. Overall we loved it! Reviewed on 31-08-2012
Jenny Vazquez(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-04-2012 We had a great time at the Westin. The hotel grounds were beautiful. They have great pools, access to the beach and several activities. The rooms are a little small, but everything was great. Reviewed on 29-04-2012
Kristel Heard(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-02-2012 I had my hair styled at the Westin Spa in Maui for my wedding. I used hair extensions in order to add volume to my updo. I took a picture of a style that I liked and the hair stylist did an amazing job. It looked even prettier than I hoped! Reviewed on 13-03-2012
Tiffany Austin(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-10-2011 We had the most unbelievable wedding here at the Westin. The staff was super friendly and all my details were as planned. I had two wedding coordinators, Eva & Bonnie, and both communicated very well and helped make the wedding unforgettable. The only thing that I will say be aware of when planning a wedding in HI is to check with the locations and their restrictions. I was unable to have the ceremony or any pictures on the beach in the sand. But overall, the destination was beautiful, the weather was great, the location was wonderful and I would do it again!!! Ingrid Iovine(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-10-2011 We stayed here for 10 days for our honeymoon in October 2011. This is the best hotel in Kaanapali! Amazing pools, beach is right behind the hotel, awesome lobby with koi ponds and parrots and flamingoes- it is unbelievable when you see it for the first time! Food and drinks are pricey, but hotels always are- so don't eat there lol. Clean rooms, not many kids there in October. Close to the town of Lahina, which has cool restaurants and shops. We booked thru orbitz and got a rental car, which you need if you want to explore. Hotel is right next door to Whaler's Village, which has good stores and food. Only issue was the room we stayed in had 2 double beds instead of a king, but it was worth it for the 7th floor ocean view with a balcony! Reviewed on 08-11-2011
Guin Merrell(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2011 Don't get me wrong, you can't beat a beach front hotel in Hawaii... BUT, the rooms were dated and so were the bathrooms. More hotel activities would have been nice, although there is lots to do next door in whalers village and the shuttle takes you in to town and down to front street for shopping. Everything is super expensive (which is to be expected!), expect to spend a minimum of $100/day on food alone (and that is eating cheap!).\rAnd whatever you do, don't miss the Luau! It is expensive, but worth it! Reviewed on 27-10-2011
Amber Jack(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-05-2011 I loved our Hotel Resort. Great food. Amazing view. Love the pool area. Reviewed on 18-10-2011
Jennifer Hadley(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-07-2011 The location is beautiful, the food was delicious, the hotel was amazing to stay at. The wedding catering manager left out a lot of details though and wasn't timely at all in responding. For the amount of money we paid for only 30 guests the event should have gone off without a hitch, but it didn't. Reviewed on 17-08-2011
Lynsi Hensyel(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-07-2011 Stayed at Maui Westin during our Honeymoon. The staff was wonderful, sending complementary champagne to our room, gave free room upgrade, and quick to answer any questions. The concierge was very knowledgeable with lots of island and event info and coupons for everything you could want to do on the island. The waterfall and landscaping beautiful, and swimming pools were amazing. Never too crowded since there were 5 pools spread out over the facility. A bit pricey when you compare it to other hotels and condos in the area, but wth the Westin you are paying for a 5 star hotel and resort and their 5 star services. Would definately recomend to other Honeymooners Reviewed on 10-08-2011
Jaclyn Seff(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-05-2011 Everything about our wedding at the Westin Maui was perfect. Bonnie our coordinator was great and took care of every detail we asked for. The setting of Lokahi point was perfect for our small wedding as it was secluded enough and overlooks the beach, ocean and sunset without being on public beach. Also the Tropica which is at the Westin was amazing afterwords for dinner, everyone really loved it. Reviewed on 27-11-2010
Kelsie Pierce(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-05-2010 We booked our wedding at The Westin and they were the best place around forthe ceremony. Our wedding was small with 8 people total but they catered to my every need! They have their own spa where they can do you hair and make up, which was very relaxing the day of the wedding. We also had a reception there and the food was amazing! My husband doesn't really like cake but this was the best cake we had ever had! The service, food, and the vendors they let you choose from are the best at what they do! I feel like we got the biggest \"bang for our buck\" with the Westin Maui. If I could change anything, I would have liked to have had the ceremony directly on the beach. Instead we got married overlooking the beach which made for great pictures an the privacy we really needed! Reviewed on 27-11-2010
Andrea Mytych(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2010 I loved the Westin! They did such a great job with everything. The people are very friendly and helpful. Reviewed on 14-11-2010
Andrea Hurst(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-06-2010 The Westin is a great place to stay! The landscaping is incredible (there's a waterfall and an open air pond with koi and flamingos in the lobby!) There is a gathering place downstairs where everyone would have coffee in the mornings...and everything feels centralized so you are always running into your guests. I heard from my uncle that The Sheraton- where we had considered staying- is way more spread out and doesn't have the same feel. The pools are awesome and there is an adults only section where we spent a great deal of time. The beach outside the hotel is perfect and beautiful and all of our guests had great views. We got upgrades for everyone and stayed in a giant suite for $299 a night. We were so sad to leave! \r\rWe had a lot of confusion halfway through the week when we changed rooms. We wanted to downgrade to a cheaper room for our honeymoon and this was arranged ahead of time. Then when we tried to move they had lost our reservation and tried to make us stay in the suite for the rest of our stay....they said they had no other rooms available. Finally they told us they had found a room, but it was facing the parking lot and next to the elevator. I complained, and they found us a room with an ocean view like we had originally been promised. \r\rThen they told us to go ahead and leave to eat lunch in town because our room wasn't ready yet, so they would move all of our luggage and groceries to the new room when it was ready.\r\rWe came back 5 hours later and the groceries were sitting out on the counter, completely ruined. They did give us a $50 credit when we complained though. Reviewed on 02-07-2010

It was a great choice and I will always be thankful to her for all of her time and great work! Reviewed on 26-05-2010
