We held our daughter's wedding reception at the Wilds in September 2023 and we loved the venue. We hosted 220 guests with passed appetizers, a plated meal and dance. We originally selected it for the large beautiful patio so we could have an outdoor cocktail hour. We also liked the layout of the banquet room and the pricing was very reasonable. We couldn't have been happier with our decision. Ricardo was great to work with, consistently communicating with us in planning and making sure that our vision was carried out. His customer service attitude really made it so enjoyable to plan the details and he was very open to special requests. Chef Tony was also great to work with and we got so many compliments on how good the food was. Even when there were a couple of glitches, Ricardo, Tony and the staff fixed it right away. We are so happy with how everything turned out and now have wonderful memories of celebrating with family and friends.

The Wilds in Prior Lake is the BEST location for your wedding!! We hosted a wedding with over 200 guests this spring. The Wild’s location, facility, and staff were amazing. The location was perfectly suited to an outdoor ceremony, with a beautiful room inside for dinner and dancing. (Even for a group our size, the facility can move the ceremony inside if Minnesota weather doesn’t cooperate.) They accommodated our special requests (e.g. a soft serve ice cream machine). The staff took care of us and our guests, going out of their way to make everyone feel special, especially the wedding party. They had tables set up when they said they would and helped pack up everything at the end of the night. We had a menu tasting to help us select the food. (Something that wasn’t offered by many of the other venues and caterers we talked to). We received many compliments on how good the food was. It’s not easy to service 200 plus plated dinners and have them all come out correctly. But from our guests comments, The Wilds nailed it. It’s clear that Mike has a lot of experience in hosting large events. He gave us solid advice on how much food and beverage to order, to reduce waste and stay within budget. His friendliness is unmatched. Throughout the process Mike was very accessible and kept us involved in all decisions. He is professional and experienced and is excellent at both planning and execution! Working with Mike and The Wilds relieved us of much anxiety as we were always confident that the entire wedding and reception would be handled perfectly. In retrospect we believe choosing to host our daughter’s wedding and reception at The Wilds was one of the best decisions we made and will immediately look to them for other events.

Shannon and the Wilds were AMAZING hosts for our wedding. During such a crazy and uncertain time, planning a wedding was definitely stressful. But Shannon and all of the staff at the Wilds made things so much less stressful. They were committed to giving us the wedding we imagined while also keeping guests and staff safe. I can't imagine that any other venue would have been so helpful during this crazy time! The patio and dining room were absolutely beautiful, and the staff did all of the set up which was super helpful for us. The food was DELICIOUS and reasonably priced too. We were so grateful that we chose the Wilds for our ceremony and reception and would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for somewhere to get married!

The Wilds was everything I could have asked for! The event coordinator, Shannon, was AMAZING to work with! I cannot say enough great things about Shannon and her team. Shannon made everything come together and was incredibly responsive. When we had some surprise snow, she quickly made hot chocolate for all of our guests. Shannon took care of all of our decorations (centerpieces, guestbook table, gift table) and made it look perfect. Our guests gave us so many compliments about the food and the timing of the meal was flawless. The outdoor spaces were beautiful for pictures and provided so many different natural backgrounds. I would absolutely recommend The Wilds to other brides!

Due to recent restrictions, I had to change my reception venue two weeks before my wedding. Luckily, The Wild’s had an opening because of a recent cancellation. Shannon and her team were nothing short of amazing! Within those two weeks she helped us plan food/drink menu, decorations and everything else we needed on our wedding day. She was very responsive to any questions or requests we had. The food was fantastic, we are still getting compliments from our guests two weeks after. The entire staff was safe and did everything they could to ensure myself and my guests were as well. If you want a low stress and amazing venue, I HIGHLY recommend The Wild’s!

My husband and I chose The Wilds for a few reasons, size of the venue, cost, location and guidance and help from their wedding coordinator, Shannon. Due to COVID, we did not end up getting married at The Wilds, but we wanted to give feedback on the reasons we originally chose this venue. Shannon was very helpful with any and all details and planning. If you go in with ideas that's great, but if you go in with nothing, Shannon will help you figure out it all. Anything from colors and decor to layout, timeline and desserts. We ended up using her recommendation for DJ, floral and desserts. All three of those were very accommodating with our last minute changes due to COVID, as was The Wilds. If anyone is looking for a fairly priced and extremely accommodating and helpful wedding venue, I would highly suggest The Wilds.

She made the process so smooth even with all of the changes we had to make. She allowed us to change our ceremony to The Wilds due to our church restrictions 4 weeks before our wedding date, we were able to change our final guest count the day before the wedding, and she decorated the reception area for us the day before the wedding. Shannon had great communication with us and was open about the changes with their facility due to COVID-19. We had a great ceremony and dinner at The Wilds. Shannon was great to work with and flexible with planning as we navigated the changing restrictions together. Shannon and her staff did a wonderful job making the ceremony on the patio and dinner in the ballroom look and feel \"normal\" while maintaining the social distancing requirements and keeping guest safety a top priority. Received many comments from guests about the great food, beautiful setting on the patio and how nice the ballroom looked. It was a very special day and we are so happy that we chose The Wilds!

She is literally the main reason we chose the Wild's and the fact it's on a beautiful golf course makes the venue perfect. Even as I was booking my other vendors and told them we were getting married at the Wild's they would immediately say Shannon is the best and everyone would know her name. Due to Covid we ended up cancelling our wedding and she had our back the entire time and was great to work with. It was one of the hardest decisions to cancel because not all vendors were that great to work with. You will be in good hands at the Wild's!

We were the first wedding of 2020 due to COVID. I cannot say enough good things about The Wilds, but more specifically Shannon Trout. We booked the venue last fall, and Shannon was a dream to work with. She has been with The Wilds for 18 years, and is seriously one of the hardest workers we have ever met. We were in constant contact with all of the changes that had to be made due to the virus. I could reach her any day of the week. Our wedding turned out perfect, even during a pandemic! Shannon is so flexible, works with your budget, and is an expert at weddings. People raved about our food. The outdoor patio is great, especially during these times where a lot of people want to socially distance. We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out.

I highly recommend the Wilds Golf Club for your event. From the day I inquired about booking a wedding reception the director was always there for me; quick to respond and very supportive. She is energetic, extremely helpful with lots of wonderful suggestions, and very knowledgeable. Although we chose to cancel our event due to COVID-19 the time spent with her was immensely helpful, and they were understanding of our decision to cancel and lenient with their policies. I would not hesitate to book this venue should future need arise.

When we first met Shannon we instantly knew that the Wilds was the perfect place for our wedding. She has a ton of experience and really knows her stuff! The communication was amazing and you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and wants your day to be absolutely perfect -- which is so comforting. We were supposed to have our ceremony outdoors, but had to move it inside due to the cold, rainy weather. I was pretty bummed at first, but Shannon quickly put me at ease with her confidence and positive energy. She assured me they would make it the most beautiful day for us -- rain or shine! And that they did. The end result was absolutely stunning. We were so impressed by how quickly they turned the room for the reception. Our guests raved about the amazing food and service and said it was the best they have ever had at a wedding. Shannon and her team truly were the best! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for making our day so special!

Unprofessional staff. My wedding ended up being beautiful but there were sooo many hiccups along the way I wish I went elsewhere. The bar manager had enough nerve to not only yell at the entire wedding party for taking pictures at a tree (which the first manager said was OK just to watch for golfers) then continued to complain about my mother to the entire staff. Unfortunately the managers terrible attitude and disrespectful comments about my mother ruined all that Shannon and Cheryl did.

We absolutely loved having our wedding at The Wilds! Shannon Trout and the entire event/catering staff were amazing to work with. They focused on making everything as easy for us as possible and ensured that no detail was forgotten. The venue was absolutely beautiful, and we loved being able to use both indoor and outdoor space for our reception (they have a great patio with a bonfire pit that was dedicated to our event). The food was delicious and served quickly to all our guests, and we've received many compliments since from our guests on how much they enjoyed the entire experience. I would highly recommend The Wilds to anyone looking for their wedding venue!

The venue was absolutely beautiful, and we loved being able to use both indoor and outdoor space for our reception (they have a great patio with a bonfire pit that was dedicated to our event). The food was delicious and served quickly to all our guests, and we've received many compliments since from our guests on how much they enjoyed the entire experience. I would highly recommend The Wilds to anyone looking for their wedding venue!

We went to wilds golf club for a scheduled tour and the coordinator didn’t even show up to our appointment. We tried to contact through phone/email to let them know we were there and waiting for half an hour, and still haven’t heard from them. It was very unprofessional and we would never trust this venue to be coordinated properly on our wedding day.

My husband and I absolutely recommend The Wild's as your wedding venue! After looking at several locations, we were sold on The Wild's because of the affordability, gorgeous patio/green golf course/spacious reception area, and most of all because of the AMAZING catering manager/coordinator Shannon! Shannon is the most spunky, enthusiastic, in-love-with-her-job woman we have ever met! She gave us the confidence that we could put a wedding together in 6 months and she would do whatever needed to make our dream wedding a reality. The Wild's has in house catering, handles all event set up and decor, and Shannon gave us several suggestions for other vendors (floral, photography, DJ, etc.) to make the planning process even simpler. Every question that came up during the planning process was answered day of and not a detail was left out. The night before our wedding we rehearsed and brought all of our ceremony and reception items to the venue to be stored for ease of set up the next day. We were amazed that The Wild's staff (Cheryl in particular) was going to set everything up for us day of so we would have nothing to worry about! Day of, the patio looked amazing, we took awesome photos all around the golf course, and received many compliments on the food--we chose the combination meal of steak and chicken and the chef was flexible with making accommodations for dietary restrictions. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!

Her knowledge and experience make her an expert, and all of our questions were answered so quickly and the advice she provided was on point because she knows what works and what doesn’t. This is not her first rodeo! The whole staff shares this. They are experienced, professional, and service oriented. We have gotten at least 30-40 seperate comments on how good the food was. Mostly, “I can’t believe it was so hot and fresh” and “That didn’t taste like any wedding food I have ever had!” The ceremony was gorgeous and the staff worked so efficiently to make the transition from outside to inside for the reception that no one even noticed that the chairs were all brought back in and around the tables in under 15 min!! Shannon and her staff truly went above and beyond for us, she even had creme brûlée made for my wife and I for dessert because we told her it was our favorite. My wife and I were so impressed with The Wild’s we are trying to come up with another event that we can have there!! We will be back to play golf, have many brunches, lunches, and dinners. (Also, we would miss Shannon too much not to come back and see she and Cosette) :)

I knew that I wanted my reception to be at The Wilds as soon as I got engaged. From the first meeting with Shannon, I knew we were in great hands. Anytime I or my parents had a question, we would email and get prompt responses. A few weeks before our wedding, we had a final meeting. Shannon was able to tell us exactly how things would run on the day of. As apart of the rental cost, you get your choice of linens and many decorative pieces. Not having to rent those on my own, was a time and money savings. The food is wonderful. Many guests came up to me at our reception and told me how much they enjoyed their dinners. Having a patio to sit outside was also a bonus. Overall, great experience at The Wilds.

Shannon was able to tell us exactly how things would run on the day of. As apart of the rental cost, you get your choice of linens and many decorative pieces. Not having to rent those on my own, was a time and money savings. The food is wonderful. Many guests came up to me at our reception and told me how much they enjoyed their dinners. Having a patio to sit outside was also a bonus. Overall, great experience at The Wilds.

Only reason I am leaving off one star was because 40 minutes before the ceremony I found out that the set up for social hour was changing which caused me a lot of last minute anxiety. The coordinator at the Wilds, Shannon, met with us several times to work out all the details and she was always available for questions throughout the planning process. I feel like Shannon took all the stress out of wedding planning it was so easy. We had our ceremony on site and the transition of ceremony to reception went smoothly. The food was AMAZING and hot even with the high quantity of people we served. I received complements from all the guests I talked to about how perfect the reception was. It was also affordable for having such a large wedding. I would recommend this venue 10 out of 10 times.

We decided on the Italian buffet and still receive compliments on the food. The service was also great! Everyone was very professional and so accommodating to the needs of our guests. The location also made it easy to provide a shuttle to the hotels for our guests and we were able to stay in a suite at Mystic Lake Casino. We couldn't be happier with our reception and would recommend The Wilds to newly engaged couples looking for an affordable but high end venue.

Every time I would get stressed before or during the reception I was instantly relaxed knowing that Shannon and her staff were on top of things and would take care of everything. WOW!!! Where do I even start! We had both our wedding and reception at The Wilds Oct 14th 2016 and it was all PERFECT!! We toured many different venues but The Wilds by far exceeded our expectations! From the minute we drove into The Wilds we loved the venue. But once we met Shannon- we were SOLD! She is amazing!!! The day of the wedding it was to windy for my decorations outside, but that didn't matter because we were surrounded by beauty! The patio (wedding location) is beautiful. It is surrounded by the greens of the golf coarse, the edge is lined with potted flowers, and the patio has a fire ring which just sets the mood! It was started before the wedding and just added an additional touch, my husband, I and guest loved it! Afterwards the guest raved about the yummy appetizers that were passed around. Yet to be even more pleased with their dinner! Everyone commented on how the food was so yummy, served nice and hot, and some of the \"best food ever\"!! We ordered the Minnesota Stuffed Chicken and the Bistro Steak with cheesy hash browns, salad, green beans and dinner roles- everything was so good! But all of this is truly made possible because of Shannon and her dedication to her job, it shows that this is a passion for her not just a 9-5 job. She is so good at what she does I cant say enough about her. A few things that stood out that you wont find other places is the quick response time ( which is so nice when planning your big day, you will get a response within hours), if your not sure on something just ask her- she has so many ideas and recommendations that are so helpful and lastly her caring and cheerful personality, she really cares about you and wants this to be the best day ever and she will make sure on her behalf that it is! Shannon is the BEST of the BEST and we were so lucky to work with her!!! So thank you again to the WONDERFUL STAFF at The Wilds!!! The food was excellent and just as important everyone's meals were all HOT which is quite the feat considering they served 340 people. We loved that we were able have the whole wedding in one place, it really made our wedding day flow smoothly! Shannon was our wedding coordinator from the Wilds. She was amazing through the entire wedding planning process. Any question that we had, we were able to call or email her and she would get back to us the same day. She has lots of experience with weddings, so she pointed out a lot of things that my husband and I didn't think of, as well as provided extra ideas to really make our wedding come together. Our guests had a blast. This venue has a beautiful patio for outdoor weddings with an amazing back drop. The ballroom was big enough for for all 250 guests, as well as having enough space right outside the ballroom for a photo booth, candy bar, and gift table! We couldn't have asked for a better venue and Shannon! Our wedding would not have been as memorial if it wasn't for her and her beautiful venue!

From the very beginning I knew once I met Shannon everything was going to be taken care of! She responded extremely fast to any questions that came up! We enjoyed our food tasting and decided to go with their themed stations and they were a HUGE hit! Our guests raved about how delicious all the food was, we even had Pizza made as a late night snack for our guests! The staff esp. Chantel all did phenomenal! When I walked in and saw how beautiful everything was, I cried. It was truly more than I ever dreamed. Shannon will make sure every last detail is taken care of! I can't thank her and her amazing staff for everything they did to make our day so special. I loved that we were able to get married on their beautiful patio and then open the doors to our reception! After touring many venues we knew once we walked out of The Wilds it was the perfect one! Shannon and all of her staff are truly amazing! From the very beginning I knew once I met Shannon everything was going to be taken care of! She responded extremely fast to any questions that came up! The Wilds Golf Club provided a beautiful venue for our wedding reception on May 13th, 2016. Shannon was one of the biggest selling points for us - her courteous, cheerful attitude and her willingness to provide for us whatever we needed was so important to us and made our day special. The venue itself was wonderful, with the outdoor patio, ceiling tulle, and room to accommodate our large wedding - we had a wedding reception of 350 that seated everyone comfortably, and we also had a smaller reception for our church of 100 one week later that was also comfortable, and the room never felt too big or too snug. The food was incredible - the Minnesota wild rice chicken was our favorite. The flexibility of the staff and the overall accommodations ultimately put the Wilds Golf Club over the top of all the other venues we were considering, and we did not regret it a single bit.

I am a Minnesota native but planned my wedding at The Wilds all the way from Nevada. My husband and I could not have been any happier with choosing The Wilds for our wedding reception. I have nothing negative to say about anyone there or anything. First off, once you meet Shannon the wedding coordinator you will be sold! She is so friendly and willing to answer all of your questions. She did not change throughout the whole year and a half of planning either. She is willing to help out with whatever she can. She is a total lifesaver to say the least. Everything else at The Wilds was perfect. The whole night went smooth and was more than we could have even asked for. The food was fantastic and the staff working with us was the best. We still have our guest telling us how nice everything was and how great the food was! Food matters :) I would recommend The Wilds to anyone! Everyone there was such a joy to work with!

We couldn't have chosen a better place to have our wedding reception. The Wilds reasonably priced, located in a beautiful golf course with wonderful views from the ballroom and outside patio. Above all, the event coordinator and Wild staff went above and beyond to make sure everything looked great and ran smoothly. I didn't have to lift a finger! They took care of everything including set up and take down! I've received so many complements about my wedding and the guests loved the food. I would highly reccomend this venue for your wedding!

We wandered into The Wilds without an appointment and were welcomed by Shannon and escorted to her office so that we could chat...even tho she had a wedding starting very soon! It was evident from the beginning that Shannon was efficient and professional and we were impressed with what The Wilds had to offer. We loved the setting and were excited by all that Shannon told us about. We liked that the Wilds had somewhat of a one-stop-shop feel....we were planning from out of state and it was nice knowing so many things were included if we chose The Wilds!! We settled on the Wilds for our June 22 wedding and were very pleased. Though we didn't necessarily want to get married on a golf course the views are fantastic and offer great photography options. We had hoped to get married on their beautiful patio but the weather turned out to be much too hot. This wasn't a problem for Shannon and her staff! They turned their banquet room into a lovely spot for our ceremony and then with ease changed it over for our dinner and reception. We were impressed with all of the food choices. Our guests said that the food was good, served in a timely manner, and was an adequate temperature! I am a vegetarian but I don't like onions....the dish was covered in them...but that was no problem for Shannon's efficient team...the brought me a fresh plate without a problem which was wonderful! We took some photographs off site before dinner and were a little late returning...Shannon and her staff had no problem adjusting for us!! Our guests loved the sundae bar and the late night pizza and our bartender was fantastic! We only had one issue which is the reason for our 4 star review...Our rehearsal was a bit chaotic and unorganized as there was no one from the staff who stayed with us to help guide us...it was too hot to go outside so we had to wing it a bit and ended up rehearsing in the main entrance! We made it but it would of been nice to have some more direction from the staff. There was a large golf tournament going on so things were very busy...which we understood...but we felt a bit forgotten. Also, after giving instructions to a staff member at rehearsal it was our understanding that several items would be in place well before our ceremony began (our guestbook, several photographs in frames, some signage, and mainly our escort cards). This was not carried out and our florist and our wedding coordinator had to do everything at the last minute. Other than that everything went very smoothly and we were very pleased! Thanks, Shannon, to you and your staff for all of your hard work to help make our day so special!

The coordinator agreed to hold our date without a deposit while we reviewed the costs (unless someone else expressed interest in our date - in which case we would need to decide in 24 hours). I'm so happy we went with The Wilds. They had the experience of doing weddings that I greatly appreciated. The outdoor space was lovely, the food was AMAZING. They did all of the set up and I felt like I had no reason to be worried. It looked beautiful and we received a lot of compliments. We also could have our dogs as part of our ceremony, they were welcomed outside (and would have been welcomed indoors too for rainy weather). Big plus for us!

Shannon, the event coordinator, was simply AMAZING! She offered all of her wisdom and experience and made the wedding more special. Every time we had a decision to make (table center pieces, cake stand, archway) she offered what she had on hand and everything was beautiful. She did an unbelievable job with the small last minute changes that occurred. The decor was simply amazing. We couldn't have ask for more. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Since the ceremony and reception took place in the same room they had to flip the room in-between and they did it extremely quick! We got the most compliments on how delicious the food was.
