The Wilshire Grand Caterers in West Orange, NJ, is a wedding venue boasting elevated extravagance. They have an array of rooms in varying sizes and styles to suit a variety of tastes, all with a sophisticated twist. No matter the desired feel for your wedding day, they have you covered with their enthusiastic attitude and cornucopia of event space options. Open since 1936, The Wilshire has extensive experience in arranging and hosting weddings. Included on the grounds are lush gardens for outdoor ceremonies, numerous ballrooms, as well as a wine cellar. They have event spaces able to accommodate guests from 15 to 375. After-parties can be hosted in their wine cellar or the Loft at 350 for an evening full of festivities. Some of the ballrooms are traditional and ornamental in style, with hardwood flooring and patterned carpeting with intricate molding along the ceilings and walls. These elegant spaces are muted enough, though, that they can easily be customized to suit a couple’s style. Other rooms feature whitewashed brick walls for a more industrial look. Dance floors are constructed from marble tiling, giving the spaces an added dose of glamor. Outside, brick bridges and tall trees create the perfect backdrop for storybook photographs. Grand chandeliers throughout the location drip with crystals for an added romantic ambiance. The Wilshire endeavors to be a one-stop locale for a couple’s wedding venue needs. Notable additions to their long list of services include their 89 suites for out-of-town guests and a well-renowned restaurant for hosting the rehearsal dinner. In the Mezzanine, the wedding party can sip champagne while they chat and get ready, giving them a luxurious start to the special day. To set the right tone for the evening, they have LED color-wash lighting available. A number of vendors are suggested through the event space’s website to help streamline the wedding planning process. Full-service catering is provided, and options include a cocktail hour, cold and hot stations, and plated entrees. Florentine chicken and salmon cakes with Cajun remoulade are examples of their excellent menu selections. The food is plentiful and always presented in a stylish manner, keeping the sophistication that is imbued throughout the entire venue consistent.

Could not have asked for a better venue and better team!! Everyone at the Wilshire is absolutely incredible. So responsive during the planning process and attentive the day of. The food was great and the space is gorgeous. Can’t recommend this venue enough!!

We got married here on 4/28 & it was the absolute wedding of my dreams! I can't say enough good things about this venue. From our first meeting with Joe'l we knew we would be in good hands. She worked so closely with us & was so quick to respond every time I had a question. The venue is absolutely beautiful & our guests loved that they could go straight from the ceremony right into cocktail hour & then right into the reception with just a few short steps. The added bonus is that they even have a walkway that leads directly from the venue into the hotel without ever stepping outside (which was key because it was pouring the night of our wedding). We had 2 maitre'd's (Kirby & Junior) who went above & beyond to make everything perfect. Our guests were baffled at all of the food options during cocktail hour & had nothing but compliments about the service throughout the night. The martini bar they offer for cocktail hour still has people talking about it almost a month later now. I know personally that every time my husband or I came back to our table from the dance floor that we had a fresh drink waiting for us. We paid an extra fee which was very fair to open the bridal salons early. I had 14 girls in the bridal party + my mom, step mother, 2 grandmothers & 5 flower girls all down there at once & we weren't cramped at all. There are 2 rooms to go between so it was very comfortable & the room was stocked with champagne, water & beers for our convenience. They do offer to purchase a food package if you want them to bring food for you & your girls, but we opted to bring in our own (which they let us know from the start was an option). My bridal attendant went above & beyond to help with everything I needed from helping my mom & girls set up the center pieces to setting up our \"In Memory\" table perfectly. She also jumped in during photos any time I needed help laying my dress out without being asked.The viennese hour was the perfect end to our night! There were so many options & my absolute favorite part was the s'mores station. The Wilshire was an amazing venue with professional & classy staff who took care of my husband & I along with all of our guests all night. They are fairly priced & went out of their way before, during & after to ensure that we had the wedding of our dreams!

The Wilshire was on a shortlist of wedding venues we had put together prior to touring - and ultimately ended up being the PERFECT choice for us. Joe'l, Junior, & Kirby along with the entire staff went above and beyond to make this our perfect day. The venue is well kept and beautiful, the getting ready suites were recently renovated (and are stunning!), and the food exceed all expectations.

My husband and I got married at the Wilshire in the Loft space two days ago and Im still in the clouds. Joe’l and Junior and Kirby are true professionals. They ran the night so smoothly and made all of our wedding dreams come true. We have received so many compliments about the food, service and atmosphere. My only complaint is that I cant rewind time and live the day all over.

My husband and I fell in love with The Wilshire Caterers on the day we went for a tour. The venue was elegant and stunning. It was also incredibly convenient as you are able to have the ceremony, reception, hotel, and after party all onsite. We worked with Travis throughout the wedding process, and he was extremely professional, friendly, supportive, and very responsive the whole time.Angela was my bridal attendant, and she was amazing. When I arrived at 10AM with my bridal party, Angela helped us bring all of our belongings to the bridal suite and helped set everything up. The suite was stocked with champagne, wine, beer, and soda. Angela was a huge help with things I didn’t have time to set up the night before. She put together my card box for me and she asked me where I wanted the rest of my items for my wedding set up. Throughout the whole night Angela was also on top of everything by making sure my husband and I both ate enough, provided us with drinks, and kept everything on schedule for us.Originally, we planned to have our ceremony outside, however the weather did not cooperate, and it was a rainy day. We ended up having the ceremony in the Tuscany Ballroom. Angela immediately transformed the ceremony room beautifully with lanterns down the aisle along with candles and up lighting. Our Maître d', Junior was also outstanding. Prior to the Ceremony he gave us instructions and we were able to do 2 walkthroughs for our ceremony. Junior also made sure that the entire night went smoothly. Junior and his staff made sure everything was perfect from the ceremony, cocktail hour, and our reception in the Grand Ballroom. As for our reception, it was more than what my husband and I could have imagined. The Grand Ballroom is absolutely stunning and it really looks like a fairytale. We couldn’t have been any happier on how everything turned out.When our guests walked into the main lobby, they all were immediately greeted with a welcome drink of champagne and sparkling water. All of our guests still can’t stop raving about how amazing all the food was from the cocktail hour and the reception. They still tell us that this was the best wedding that they ever attended. Our cocktail hour was a huge hit and the bartenders were perfect at making everyone’s drinks. The vodka luge and the martini bar were also a huge hit that our guests loved.I highly recommend The Wilshire Caterers for hosting your Wedding, or any other type of an event. This venue will not disappoint! Travis, Angela, Junior, and the entire staff were amazing, and we are so thankful to them for making our Wedding Day so perfect.

I had my wedding at the Wilshire in August of 2021. It was originially scheduled for May, but with Covid we decided to move it to August with hopes that things would get better. My now husband and I had viewed quite a few wedding venues before signing with the Wilshire. We felt like we were at a car dealership with every venue besides the Wilshire. When we entered the Wilshire we were greeted by Joe'l and in awe of how beautiful the venue was. She made us feel like we were old friends and she is a huge reason we signed at the Wilshire. Joe'l answered so many emails beyond promply and reassured me constantly that everything would be perfect. The Wilshire was very reasonable and made our dream wedding a reality. When we had to change our date it was seamless. Joe'l couldn't have been more helpful every step of the way. The week of our wedding was a nightmare with people cancelling because of covid and Joe'l was so accomodating. Our wedding was the best day of my life and I thank the Wilshire for that. All of the staff including my bridal attendant was so attentive. My hair jewelry had fallen out and broke prior to arriving at the Wilshire and Joe'l and my bridal attendant were glueing it back together and putting pins in my hair. The food and space was beyond amazing. My family and friends couldn't stop raving about the cocktail hour, dinner and venetian hour. We had an entire room dedicated to just desserts. It was truly amazing and everything was delicious. The drinks were always flowing and the bartenders were great as well. I thank everyone at the Wilshire, but most importantly Joe'l for giving us everything we asked for and more. You are truly incredible!......Completely not connected to the Wilshire we did have our after party at Grill 350. You rent the space by paying a nice amount for two hours of cash bar for your guests after the wedding. All I will say is that if Gina is the one you are dealing with do not spend the money. We contacted the manager Travis after the situation who made things right, but what a not so nice way to end the night. She saw me in my wedding dress and did not once come up to say hello (we had been dealing with her for quite sometime) or congratulations. Instead she sat outside the open room and rolled her eyes at our guests who were nothing, but respectful of the space. She was rude and should not be in an industry like this. If it's anyone else, but her I would highly suggest a two-hour get together for your guests after the wedding.

I usually don't leave reviews but this place was so perfect I had to.The Wilshire was not originally in my radar until a friend suggested it after their brother got married there. I don't think the photos do it justice at all. It is an absolutely beautiful venue. Trust me, just schedule a tour.But the real highlight is the staff. They go so far out of their way to make the day perfect, especially my boy Travis! He even reached out to our other vendors for us when the wedding got moved to rescheduled them. They think of everything! They provided whatever drinks we needed during the day when the bridal party was getting ready, they brought me and my husband food during cocktail hour so we could taste everything, they make a dessert station bar at my request with zeppoles, ice cream, dessert shots and more!All my guests said it was one of the most incredible weddings they had ever been to and even want to plan their future weddings there. It was also surprisingly reasonably priced for what you get compared to other venues we looked at. If you want to be worry-free and completely catered to on your day in a beautiful setting then this is the place!

Travis , Gina, Connie (florist) and Kirby made our postponed wedding event beautiful. Travis accommodated to all of our requests and was a major help during the planning process. We planned for an outdoor ceremony but shifted in doors last minute. Connie decorated it so nice. We had a wonderful ceremony. As a first time bride and groom trying to get all of our disorganized family lol on point was hectic but Gabby my bridal attendant was very supportive from morning to night. She was by my side and helped gather my bridal party and family the whole time. Kirby the maitre'd was a good guide during the reception. If anything went wrong i didn't know. Gina- was so easy to work with when planning our rehearsal dinner and after party. Our reception ended at 12:00am gathering all our clothes/belongings from the bridal suites immediately after was not so fun. As a bride I suggest to designate someone to gather all your belongings a head of time. Our belongings were secure in the bridal suite and its safe. Despite the madness that came along with the day our guests had a great time and told us the wedding and food were amazing.

My wedding was nothing short of AMAZING. To Travis and the Wilshire staff...I just want to say thank you! Thank you to you and your entire team and staff. I cannot express enough how AMAZINGGGG everyone was in making my day perfect. Everyone, the Maitre D, the gentlemen who set up the tables, the wait staff, Gina at the restaurant, the women in the front office, everyone was present and helpful. Every single person that I encountered from the Wilshire Staff was beyond accommodating, professional and efficient! I had so much anxiety in the beginning of my wedding planning because I wasn't pleased with the first venue I selected. They hadn't necessarily done anything wrong, but there just was a feeling of unease that didn't sit right with me which caused me to search for other venues. From the moment I met with you, you put a smile on my face and put me at ease from the start. When we walked out that day from booking with you I exhaled the biggest sigh of relief I had in months! And sure enough, when my big day came, you guys did not disappoint. Even my guests were raving about the impeccable service we all received and the attention to us as the couple didn't go unnoticed by them either. As a first time Bride I had no real idea what to expect beyond the stories from other's experiences and most times those stories are worrisome. I must say that I experienced NONE of that on my day thanks to you guys. The Wilshire Grand Catering is truly a team of top-notch, highly-skilled professionals and I owe it to all of you for making our special day a beautiful and seamless experience. Not a single thing went wrong, and if it did, I had no idea. The staff was amazing. I MUST give a very special, special thank you and acknowledgement to Gia, my Bridal attendant. She was truly a lifesaver and was soooo on point! She stayed by my side the entire day and made sure I didn't have a care in the world. All Brides should experience an amazing experience like I did. The vendors we used both band and photographer said it was one of the best venues they worked with and our guest have been praising the entire wedding. I would highly recommend Wilshire Caterers for weddings and other events to all friends and family.

The Wilshire team did a wonderful job handling our covid wedding. We were able to change our date easily and they helped us figure out a covid-compliant alternative to our initial plan. Being able to have our guests stay at the on-site hotel was great and the team was very accommodating to our set-up needs, allowing us to drop items off in advance and set up as early as we needed (it helped that there were no conflicting events that day). The day-of team was especially helpful and took care of things that we hadn't even thought of! I had been concerned about needing a day-of coordinator but the Wilshire team handled everything seamlessly. All of this being said, the venue itself is also STUNNING and our guests were so impressed with it from start to finish. If we were to have a second wedding we would definitely be back at the Wilshire!

CIf I could give this venue more stars I would and I haven't even been married yet. My wedding is for July 10, 2020 and I cannot say enough about the communication, accommodation and understand from this venue. I have been working with Joe'l who I have met with once (when booking). If she saw me on the street she wouldn't be able to pick me out of a crowd, even a small one. All my communication with her has been through email. Her response time is untouchable. She responds to emails immediately and I have sent my share so far. With a wedding approaching on July 10, 2020 and the nation in a state of emergency you can sense my stress level. After expressing these concerns with Joe'l she has made the necessary modifications that I have requested...NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her. Her professionalism and ability to run a venue is what makes me most excited about in choosing this venue of hundreds to choose from. I plan on writing many more 5 star reviews in my future. The Wilshire truly made our wedding day. If you are thinking about them for your own, stop reading this and book them now - you WILL NOT regret it! First, the staff are incredible. You and your partner will be supported from start to finish. We never felt so special as we did when we were being taken care of by their team. From the moment we emailed with John, the Catering Director, shortly after our engagement we knew we were in good hands. He answered all of our (many) questions promptly and positively, and helped steer us in the best direction regarding everything from the cocktail hour to the after-party. We know the venue hosts events all the time, but John makes you feel as if you are his only client and he's there just for you. Kirby, our maitre 'd was THE BEST. Upbeat, super friendly, and engaged in even the smallest details of our day. And Angela, our bridal attendant was awesome! So friendly and helpful - she just took excellent care of us. She even stood outside with me in the cold to get help us capture some winter wedding shots. The most important part was that the staff - from those mentioned above to the bartenders, waitstaff, and more - took care of all of our guests (not just the bride and groom) and made sure that everybody had what they needed. They chatted with our DJ when the music was too loud. They had my dad's drink waiting for him at the bar as soon as he started walking up, and no guest dealt with a line while waiting for their own. They never left plates uncovered when guests weren't at their seats for dinner. Everything, big and small, was covered by this exceptional, experienced team. Of course, we can't stop there. The venue is as amazing as the staff. The rooms are beautiful and you can adjust the lighting to be almost anything you need. There are lovely, private bridal salons for you and your crew to enjoy while getting ready that day and a lot of pretty, different spaces to capture photos in. Plus! It's connected to The Wilshire Hotel which was a huge bonus for us. We didn't want to deal with shuttles and sad hotel after-parties at the end of the night. We wanted our guests to feel like they could literally roll from one room to the other (all while staying inside in the cold of December) and it was super convenient for everyone, including us! Lastly, the food! Not only will you not go hungry at The Wilshire, but your guests will rave about the quality (and quantity!) of food for days. I'm still dreaming about the cocktail hour and dessert cordials.Our guests said it was the best wedding they've ever been to, and we know that's largely in part because of The Wilshire. We can't thank the staff here enough for all they did for us, and any couple would be lucky to have them host their wedding!

Our daughter's wedding was held Saturday at the Wilshire Grand Hotel, catered by the Wilshire Caterers. There are not enough superlatives to describe the experience. We wanted to provide our most cherished and only child with a most memorable experience, without blowing the entire inheritance! John Bowes, the catering manager, patiently worked with us, shared his wealth of knowledge and experience, and helped us to do just that. He made even the most embarrassing questions easy to ask. My (now) Wife and I had our reception at your venue on December 1st and we were simply blown away by the entire experience. Overall, it was such an outstanding day and we are so thrilled that your team executed flawlessly on such an important day for us. Everything from top to bottom was just hands down amazing, but I did want to point out a few bright spots:The staff overall were just great to work with and the food was outstanding. The bartenders and wait staff were very friendly and the chef executed very well with all the dishes that came out. Junior and Angela were amazing hosts for us the entire evening. It made the night so easy for us, having them there every step of the way. They anticipated our needs and did so gracefully, as they had such a delicate touch is making sure every detail was executed against the entire evening. We cannot thank these 2 individuals enough for their attention to details and for being such a pleasure to work with.John Bowes delivered an evening that Samantha and I will be talking about for the rest of our lives. From the moment we met John, we knew we were in for a special treat - he is actually the deciding factor in choosing your venue for our event, as he has such an excellent Sales presentation. Although he is an excellent Salesman, his delivery is even better. He guided us into making the best choices for our evening and gave us direction on the right touches for the guest experience. He was incredibly responsive, attentive, professional and just down right amazing. In fact, we want to get married again just to work with John and have this experience all over! My husband and I are so incredibly happy that we chose Wilshire as our venue- we have nothing bad to say about it! From the very beginning, the staff members we talked with were amazing. The space is stunning, the food was amazing, and the service was top notch. All throughout the night, my guests were asking how we found this place because it was so amazing. As said before, the staff members were amazing. Joe'l answered all of my emails very quickly and made sure that we were doing well, had drinks, ate something, and were enjoying ourselves the whole night. She, and our bridal attendant Angela, made sure that the lobby and ceremony space looked amazing and made sure that my whole day went by smoothly- the whole day would not have come together if it weren't for them! Angela was there with me throughout the whole night. She helped me with everything from making sure I had the right picture frames for the lobby, to bustling my dress- she was BEYOND amazing!!There were many huge perks about this venue. There is a bridal salon downstairs in the basement where everyone was able to get ready, the hotel is connected to the venue, and the rooms are amazing, and there is a restaurant in the venue to use for an after party or a rehearsal dinner. We are so happy with our choice to have our wedding at Wilshire!!

Portuguese/Italian Wedding.... We got married June 3 2017. I cant believe its been almost a year from the GREATEST day of our lives. We were married on premises and it was the best and smartest choice we could have made. The entire staff, but more importantly Joe'l and Angela are the stars of this great venue. They made every one of dreams come true. Let me start with the food, being a Portuguese/Italian family that was our number 1 concern. Rest assured the food is PHENOMENAL and PLENTY. Second, the decor was amazing, we lucked out for a fantastic day for an outside wedding, but they assured us that if we had rain they would take care of things for us indoors. The staff is truly amazing, I cant say it enough. Third, Joe'l is the greatest person you can work with, every request we had big or small she said yes to. I still cant believe some of things we got to do/have at our wedding. Angela was our bridal attendant, she is on the same greatness path as Joe'l. She helped us have a fantasic wedding. We had a huge candy bar table (HUGE!!!) and she set it up for us. I felt so bad for her, bc we did get a little carried away. Angela and Joe'l helped us with everything, they made us feel so special and taken care of. Im telling you book the Wilshire Grand you will not be disappointed. If you know anything about Portuguese and Italians they are honest and will tell you to your face about any complaints they might have. This is the first time I never heard a complaint from our families, they loved it as much as we loved it. Im telling you, we still hear about our wedding from our friends and families to this day. Ill also admit we still talk about it all the time, its something we want to relive and because of the staff and great day we had, we will always have the wonderful memories of our special day at the Wilshire Grand. We worked with our coordinator, John and he satisfied our every need or concern. Anything you asked of him was taken care of and done with taste. John was very accommodating and made the day perfect for all of us. Wilshire Caterers is not only beautiful but the food there is delicious as well. All our guests said the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner were the best that they had ever attended. Since we had the most perfect April weather, the guests were able to sit outside and enjoy their food and take in the ambience. The service was impeccable throughout the reception. We were floored by what a great job the Wilshire did for our wedding. We were looking for a wedding venue that could provide class but cater to the fact that we were not looking for a standard wedding reception. They were on point. The Loft space was perfect for us, we added the lounge furniture for a club feel. The food was outstanding. My foodie friends sought me out to compliment the food. We were floored by what a great job the Wilshire did for our wedding. We were looking for a wedding venue that could provide class but cater to the fact that we were not looking for a standard wedding reception. They were on point. The Loft space was perfect for us, we added the lounge furniture for a club feel. The food was outstanding. My foodie friends sought me out to compliment the food. John Bowes was our point of contact, and that man is amazing. He will take excellent care of you. I highly recommend this venue.

From the moment we walked into the Wilshire we knew that we wanted to have our wedding there. John was great to work with. He helped us get a day where we would be the only event and helped us get to the price point we needed. The cocktail hour was amazing. The amount of food and space was phenomenal. We loved that it had seating for over 150 guests. The ballroom was stunning and was plenty big for our 200 guests. Our guests are still raving about the food. The bridal attendant made sure that I had everything I needed all night. This venue was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it for weddings!

He helped us get a day where we would be the only event and helped us get to the price point we needed. The cocktail hour was amazing. The amount of food and space was phenomenal. We loved that it had seating for over 150 guests. The ballroom was stunning and was plenty big for our 200 guests. Our guests are still raving about the food. The bridal attendant made sure that I had everything I needed all night. This venue was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it for weddings!

The Wilshire was beyond all our expectations for our wedding. As soon as we visited the venue and met with Joe'l, we knew we wanted to book it. Joe'l was AMAZING to work with and truly made the wedding planning experience so smooth. She answered all my questions, was very patient with us if we changed our minds or were indecisive, and made sure we had the time of our lives on our wedding day! My bridal attendant, Angela, was fantastic, making sure I had everything I needed, and was where I was supposed to be at the right time. The maitre d's, Kirby and Junior, we phenomenal as well. We had our ceremony in their beautiful outdoor space; however, if we had needed to have it inside due to weather, they set it up beautifully as well! The food was fantastic, the desert room was outrageous (in a good way!) and the service was impeccable. I could not have been happier that we had our wedding here - it was the most perfect day and not without the help of all the staff at the Wilshire.

Everyone is STILL talking about the cocktail hour... we hope we can attend a wedding here one day so we can have that experience as we were out taking photos. I can't think of one thing that went wrong. The price was right, the staff was great, the food was fantastic...(FANTASTIC) and our wedding was everything we hoped for.

Overall, we had a great time at our wedding but there were a few details that we found to be disappointing on the day of. Pros: Everyone enjoyed the cocktail hour, as there was plenty of variety, and the ice luge/martini bar was especially a hitCons: The lighting in the ballroom was hideous. We asked for natural, soft white lighting many times before the wedding day, but on the day of the wedding, bright pink and purple lighting was used. When we asked them to turn it off, they said that they couldn't. It was also very dark, and our videographer complained that the video would not come out well as a result (hoping that's not actually going to be the case when we get our video back). We also only wanted white flowers to be used, but it appears that the staff put out the purple flowers from the wedding the day before ours. I could see how they thought they were doing us a favor, as the flowers were still fresh, however, it was not in our wedding color palette. For future brides/grooms, I would just advise to go over all of the details in writing with the venue staff, and designate a bridal party or family member to check on the execution of all of these details on the day of the wedding.

The day of John and Angela (my bridal attendant) were an allstar squad. Angela got me in and out of my corset backed dress (twice!) and was by my side all night and made sure I always had champagne in my hand. I would have been lost without them. Having my wedding at the Wilshire Grand was the best decision I ever made! It was truly the most perfect venue and I couldn't be more grateful for the staff there. John was a delight to work with and helped me make all of the best decisions when it came to the wedding. We had a possible rainy weekend (okay fine it poured) but we were really wanted to have the cocktail hour outside in the slight chance of clear skies. John was so supportive and helped us to weigh the pros and cons. In the end we had the cocktail hour inside and he made sure every detail was just perfect and the entire room was beautiful. Everything went smoothly and exactly as planned. I never even noticed the staff whizzing around in and out of their places. And on top of it all, Angela was our bridal attendant and was 10000%! She was fantastic, my husband always had a drink ready and she was always there to help me when I needed. The food was incredible from start to finish. In addition we went to the hotel restaurant afterwards for a an after party which was extremely convenient because they closed down the space and let us continue our night until 2am. And having the hotel attached helped us seal the deal for picking the Wilshire! We are so lucky to h ave found such a perfect place and to get all of the love and support from John and his staff. Thank you thank you thank you 100,000 times again!

My husband & I just got married at the Wilshire Grand Hotel on 6/25/16! Everything from the staff, to the food, to the ambiance was perfect. Joe’l helped us plan our special day every step of the way & was awesome! She was incredibly sweet, generous & extremely accommodating. She added special details to help make our day perfect and went above & beyond her expected duties. The staff working our wedding was so incredibly polite, friendly, & attentive. Our maître d’ Cecilia was a complete angel! She was by my side the whole day & made sure to assist my bridal party w/ANYTHING they needed. While getting ready in the bridal salon, she made sure to keep our champagne bucket full, had all other beverages fully stocked throughout the day & assisted w/the espresso machine. During the reception she made sure my drinks were always full & fresh throughout the entire night. At the end of the night she packed all of our things from the bridal salon onto a cart & wheeled it to our hotel suite. The captain of the night was also extremely attentive & continued to check in on us throughout the night to ensure we were fully taken care of. I was so impressed!The food! Omg it was all so delicious! During our food tasting we were so torn on what to choose b/c everything tasted so incredibly good. They’re also great w/accommodating any of your guest who may have dietary restrictions & will make special dishes for those in need. The options for cocktail hr are endless! Our guest wouldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed it all!The ambiance at the Wilshire Caterers is beautiful! The outdoor space creates such a gorgeous atmosphere that is perfect for an outdoor ceremony & the sparkling chandeliers inside help create a sweet whimsical feeling. The pictures posted online don’t do it justice. Once everything is all set up the place just sparkles!A great plus about hosting your event here is you can have your guest stay the night at the hotel that is connected to the catering hall. However, I will admit dealing w/the hotel wasn’t the most pleasant experience. It’s difficult to get a hold of a manager & the people working the front desk don’t seem to know much. Also, the restaurant “Primaveras” is a DON’T DO. Although they aren’t associated w/the Wilshire Caterers, they are known to host “after parties” for weddings held here & I have to say, that was a nightmare. 3 days before our wedding the mngr Julio tells us he has a party booked right before ours & they decided to extend the length of time they booked the restaurant for. He said we would have to wait outside w/our guest for a full hour before we can use the space. My husband told him this was unacceptable & was not part of the agreement. Julio was very rude, aggressive & told my husband he was no longer allowing us to use his space. We were in utter shock w/his lack of professionalism & spoke to Joe’l @ the Wilshire Caterers about what happened. She was so apologetic (even though the restaurant isn’t part of the catering hall) & was quick to offer a solution. We decided to move our after party to a bar that is located 5 mins away & it was perfect! Joe’l spoke w/her mngr Travis, they called up the bar we were hosting our after party at & covered a large portion of our bar tab. This was so incredibly generous of them. They were simply amazing! Overall we are so happy we had our wedding at the Wilshire Caterers. They did a superb job & really made our wedding a special day that I’ll never forget!

The outdoor space creates such a gorgeous atmosphere that is perfect for an outdoor ceremony & the sparkling chandeliers inside help create a sweet whimsical feeling. The pictures posted online don’t do it justice. Once everything is all set up the place just sparkles!A great plus about hosting your event here is you can have your guest stay the night at the hotel that is connected to the catering hall. However, I will admit dealing w/the hotel wasn’t the most pleasant experience. It’s difficult to get a hold of a manager & the people working the front desk don’t seem to know much. Also, the restaurant “Primaveras” is a DON’T DO. Although they aren’t associated w/the Wilshire Caterers, they are known to host “after parties” for weddings held here & I have to say, that was a nightmare. 3 days before our wedding the mngr Julio tells us he has a party booked right before ours & they decided to extend the length of time they booked the restaurant for. He said we would have to wait outside w/our guest for a full hour before we can use the space. My husband told him this was unacceptable & was not part of the agreement. Julio was very rude, aggressive & told my husband he was no longer allowing us to use his space. We were in utter shock w/his lack of professionalism & spoke to Joe’l @ the Wilshire Caterers about what happened. She was so apologetic (even though the restaurant isn’t part of the catering hall) & was quick to offer a solution. We decided to move our after party to a bar that is located 5 mins away & it was perfect! Joe’l spoke w/her mngr Travis, they called up the bar we were hosting our after party at & covered a large portion of our bar tab. This was so incredibly generous of them. They were simply amazing! Overall we are so happy we had our wedding at the Wilshire Caterers. They did a superb job & really made our wedding a special day that I’ll never forget!

The ballroom was breathtaking, the meal scrumptious, but even more important such impeccable service. Our family and friends remarked how wonderful the Wilshire was to them. A huge thank you to Travis, we love your energy and vision. Angela, you fit your name (angel). Your calm and, poise and professionalism were amazing. Junior and John could not have been any more attentive. You have a very special place with an exceptional staff. After all the planning leading up to the wedding it's hard to believe it's over. We all had a wonderful experience working with Travis from the Wilshire Caterers who orchestrated and executed the evening so well from the beginning to the end. Our guests were taken care of every step along the way and the wedding ran smoothly and seemingly effortlessly.\r\rYou were always available, either by phone or in person, to address any concerns or questions that both the bride and groom and their families had. And you helped facilitate solutions that worked for both you and our families.\r\rWe especially want to thank Angela who, with her calm, efficient and friendly manner was always one step ahead in anticipation of the bride's needs. She was attentive,helpful and always pleasant even as we made sure that everything that we had left in Bridal Suite was accounted for at the end of the evening. Although she had responsibilities beyond taking care of the bride nothing was too much trouble to help us with.\r\rWe also want to thank Kirby for managing the reception, moving our guests from room to room in a timely, well organized way without any delay or confusion. Small details were no bother. He even held on to my glasses which I didn't wear under the chuppah, handing them right back to me as I walked out after the ceremony. He checked in constantly throughout the evening just in case anything came up that needed to be taken care of.\r\rIt was an absolute pleasure dealing with you and your organization.

My daughter & her fiancé first visited the Wilshire & met with John Bowes. They called afterwards with \"we found our venue\"! All parents & the happy couple met again with John B to see for ourselves. Fast forward to 10/18/2015. We used Connie the florist. She was a pleasure to work with. She totally understood our style. Jon of BK Limo was also great to work with. The ceremony was indoors & set up beautifully, but if you are lucky to have the warm weather the outdoor gardens are lovely for a ceremony. The décor upon entering is elegant, yet not overdone. Angela, the bridal attendant is amazing. She was always right there to help with everything. Cocktail hour was very impressive, along with a table of signature drinks ready for taking. We all received compliments for days after. John, Junior and all of the staff was absolutely fabulous.\rThis is an entire team of professionals who work together to make certain everything is as perfect as it can be. This is class but not pretentious.\rThis is the last of 4 daughters to be married, so you see I've done this before.\r\"Thank You\" to all that helped make my daughters wedding \"more\" fabulous than she even expected.

Sixteen months ago when my daughter got engaged, my wife and I looked at five different venues. A friend had their daughter's wedding at the Wilshire Grand and yes, it was grand. When it was our time to tour the different venues with my daughter and future son-in-law, we saved the Wilshire for last. So glad we did because when my daughter saw the venue and spoke with Travis, she fell in love with this place. From day one, the attention to detail was nothing less than \"the best\". Travis worked with both my wife and daughter as the two of them did most of the preparation. When the weekend arrived my wife and I were, in a normal sense, concerned and hopeful that all will go well. From the minute we walked into the venue, every detail we previously discussed was already taken care of. Even the behind the scene issues were at 100% The decor of the rooms, the cleanliness of the bathrooms, the gracious attitude of ALL the staff both catering and hotel, attention to detail with guest's food allergies...you name it, Travis made sure it was done to perfection !!\rPositive comments even came from all of our vendors (photographer , florist, band) that the team at the Wilshire made it very easy for them to also do their best. We are now one week after the wedding and family and friends are still contacting us with rave reviews of their most enjoyable time at the wedding. I could not have spent any more money to make the event any more perfect for my daughter. I hope every couple getting married has the same positive and memorable experience as my children had. I do not want to ramble on, but in summary, all I can say is...Travis, thank you for making my daughter's wedding weekend as perfect and as memorable as possible. We look forward to working with you again when my other daughter is engaged.

The Wilshire is breathtaking when walking in and that is what we loved about it. Every room in the venue is beautiful. The service and the food were amazing as well. Working with Travis through the whole step of our wedding was awesome. He is one of the nicest guys we know. We didn't want our planning to end cause we loved meeting with Travis so much. He was so on top of things and would answer any of my emails right away. Angela and Junior helped us the day of the wedding, I have never felt so calm through the whole planning till I met them. We were so happy with everything and would recommend this venue to anyone looking to plan their next celebration!

We had our weddin at the Wilshire on 10/3/15. Everything was great and everyone was amazing to work with leading up to the day! On top of a great and beautiful venue, Angela, our bridal attendant was AMAZING! She took care of everything and even my wedding planner I hired for coordination was shocked by how great she is! She bustled my dress like a pro and was always there for me! \r\rThe only downside is dealing the actual hotel part of the venue but that aside, the Wilshire Caterers is a great venue!

Our families and friends have been raving about how much fun they had, how beautiful the venue is, and how great the food was. I often heard from many couples that their entire wedding was a blur and they weren't able to actually enjoy most of it. Travis, Junior, and Cecilia made everything so easy for us and provided excellent service that we actually were able to sit and enjoy our dinner and got to spend lots of time on the dance floor with everyone as well. Choosing the Wilshire Caterers for our wedding was one of the best decisions we could have made!\r\rFirst, there's the actual venue itself - it's gorgeous and spacious! The whole venue has a white modern look inside. They have a beautiful outdoor pagoda you can get married under, but unfortunately for us the weather didn't cooperate so we had to take the ceremony inside. Even though we were disappointed that the rain forced us inside, the Tuscany ballroom was available, and is beautiful. A great selling point for this venue is that your ceremony will be stunning no matter where it is - indoors or outdoors. Another huge selling point is also that the venue and hotel are connected, so our guests could stumble back into their bed after hours of enjoying the open bar.\r\rSecond, the people at the Wilshire are phenomenal! We were so lucky to work with John. He is incredibly nice and calm, and made us feel like we were the only couple he was working with. Planning with him was easy, and on the day of the wedding he was with us from morning until midnight making sure everything was perfect, running smooth, and we were happy.\rOne of the items included in the package is a bridal attendant, but that title really downplays the work that Angela did that day. She was AMAZING!!! All at the same time, she was setting up the wedding, getting food/drinks for the wedding party, making sure we were comfortable and happy, and running around behind me to hold up my train. She even curled and fixed my hair after getting rained on! As soon as the ceremony was over, I was bustled and she had a tray of food for us. As soon as my first dance was over, she pulled out my chair and helped me sit in my gown. She got me drinks form the bar, and at the end of the night even helped me get my dress off (TMI?!), put two full meals in our fridge to eat later, and carried all of our stuff and gifts to our hotel suite. She was remarkable and definitely reduced the amount of possible stressful situations immensely. And thank you to Junior also, who kept checking on us throughout the night to make sure we were as happy as possible!\r\rThird - I have heard from multiple people that the \"cocktail hour had the best food ever\"! We didn't get to enjoy too much of it because we got stopped by guests as soon as we walked in, but people are still talking about how amazing it was. The Martini Bar was a huge hit with out guests and the caterers made the drinks that we requested for it so deliciously!\r\rTHANK YOU to the staff at the Wilshire for making our day so special and beautiful!

Another huge selling point is also that the venue and hotel are connected, so our guests could stumble back into their bed after hours of enjoying the open bar.\r\rSecond, the people at the Wilshire are phenomenal! We were so lucky to work with John. He is incredibly nice and calm, and made us feel like we were the only couple he was working with. Planning with him was easy, and on the day of the wedding he was with us from morning until midnight making sure everything was perfect, running smooth, and we were happy.\rOne of the items included in the package is a bridal attendant, but that title really downplays the work that Angela did that day. She was AMAZING!!! All at the same time, she was setting up the wedding, getting food/drinks for the wedding party, making sure we were comfortable and happy, and running around behind me to hold up my train. She even curled and fixed my hair after getting rained on! As soon as the ceremony was over, I was bustled and she had a tray of food for us. As soon as my first dance was over, she pulled out my chair and helped me sit in my gown. She got me drinks form the bar, and at the end of the night even helped me get my dress off (TMI?!), put two full meals in our fridge to eat later, and carried all of our stuff and gifts to our hotel suite. She was remarkable and definitely reduced the amount of possible stressful situations immensely. And thank you to Junior also, who kept checking on us throughout the night to make sure we were as happy as possible!\r\rThird - I have heard from multiple people that the \"cocktail hour had the best food ever\"! We didn't get to enjoy too much of it because we got stopped by guests as soon as we walked in, but people are still talking about how amazing it was. The Martini Bar was a huge hit with out guests and the caterers made the drinks that we requested for it so deliciously!\r\rTHANK YOU to the staff at the Wilshire for making our day so special and beautiful!

Everything was perfect for our wedding celebration. My hair, my tux, the music (provided by the in-house DJ), the quick and ever-attentive service,the cocktail hour appetizers & stations, the dinner, desserts & cordials. I could not have found a more down-to-earth, hospitable and genuinely thoughtful caterer to partner with - what a great guy. We picked this venue due to the fact that it's beautiful inside, large capacity (300+ guests), affordable, kosher kitchen option, (and pet friendly!) :) We worked with Travis Weiss for the planning and he was PHENOMENAL. He listened to every detail, made sure we got everything we wanted and then some. His attention to detail, kind smile, availability for questions, etc. made the entire process so enjoyable and memorable. His staff, including the Maitre Ds (he had three for our wedding plus himself) were all SO much help and made sure the event went off without any issues! The food was also EXCELLENT. It was exactly how we imagined (and then some). We would highly recommend this venue and it's staff. We also used one of the florists that is based out of the venue (Anthony Ferraz) and his flowers were stunning, and we also used Timothy Glenn photographers (also based out of this venue) and they were amazing as well. Travis was enthusiastic about our big day from the begining and helped us with the planning of every detail. Our ceremony and reception were held at the venue and Travis was very concerned with the \"flow\" of the party. He made sure to ask us what we wanted for every aspect of the wedding and delivered on all of his promises and then some. The entire night went off without even the slight hint at an issue. The venue is charming and elegant. The ballroom was magnificent. The food was incredible and the service was second to none. It takes a lot of experience and talent to do that and it’s greatly appreciated.\r\rOne of our most favorite touches was walking the red carpet as you entered the venue and a champagne welcome. These little nuances made our guests feel like this was going to be an affair to remember. \r\rThe entire evening the staff of the Wilshire Grand was incredibly attentive and kept the evening flowing smoothly. They were absolutely fantastic!\r\rLastly, we had the reception in the Loft that had that cool New York industrial warehouse/loft feeling. The room is stunning with hardwood floors and the high ceilings and dramatic lighting. We are formally from NY so the room fit us like a glove. \r\rWe can’t thank Travis and his staff at the Wilshire Grand enough for everything they did for us. It truly felt magical. \r

My reception took place in the LOFT within the wilshire grand. A space like this was hard to find in the northern/central jersey. If you're looking for a blank slate where you can let your creative juices flow, this is the place to do it. Everyone to the venue was so helpful, polite and attentive. The Wilshire Grand/Wilshire Caterers was one of them. \rIt is astonishing to me that The Wilshire Grand is not at the top of everyone's list or at least on everyone's short list of possible venues for an Orthodox Jewish wedding. I know alot of it is a matter of taste. But one of the great things about The Wilshire Grand is that it has great \"bones\" and you can make it your own which is just what we did.\rBy the way, it's a great place to have any kind of wedding. But, for a Jewish Orthodox wedding, it is an ideal place because of the layout as well as other factors.First, there are 4 main rooms, all on one floor and the perfect amount of distance from each other.This means that the flow from the Tisch to the Bedeken to the Chupah and then to the dinner and dancing in the Ballroom is seamless;also, each room is simple but elegant.Additionally, your wedding is the only wedding that is happening. So, for one day, you feel like you've invited all your friends and family to your very large beautiful home to celebrate a very important occasion.It's definitely a big space but it's a really warm and intimate place. Plus where all the wedding stuff happens is separate but connected to the actual hotel which is wonderful for the guests who opt to stay overnight.\rIn addition to the physical space, the staff at The Wilshire Grand is extraordinary. Travis, John, Matt and Junior plus everyone else we came in contact with had a \"whatever you need\" attitude.On the day of the wedding, everyone-the bride, the groom, the bridesmaids, the immediate family and guests-all felt incredibly well attended to. \rFor the Glatt Kosher catering, we worked with Eddie Izso from Main Event Catering.Eddie has done many events at The Wilshire Grand and it was very helpful to work with a caterer who knew the venue and had a good relationship with the staff at the hotel. Eddie really helped us understand what we needed to do to successfully navigate the day. ALL the food was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented.\rAlso, there is a very welcoming bar called Primavera which, for a nominal fee, you can get to stay open for the after party.There were alot of musicians who were guests at the wedding who brought their instruments to the after party. The bar was cool with that and it was nice to have a low-key moment to unwind with friends and family.\rWhen I started the wedding planning six months ago, I didn't really envision a wedding in New Jersey. I'm a hard core New Yorker, have not spent any time in NJ and most of our friends are in New York.But The Wilshire Caterers in West Orange ended up being an easy drive from NYC and the PERFECT venue for our beautiful simcha.

The Wilshire Grand/Wilshire Caterers was one of them. \rIt is astonishing to me that The Wilshire Grand is not at the top of everyone's list or at least on everyone's short list of possible venues for an Orthodox Jewish wedding. I know alot of it is a matter of taste. But one of the great things about The Wilshire Grand is that it has great \"bones\" and you can make it your own which is just what we did.\rBy the way, it's a great place to have any kind of wedding. But, for a Jewish Orthodox wedding, it is an ideal place because of the layout as well as other factors.First, there are 4 main rooms, all on one floor and the perfect amount of distance from each other.This means that the flow from the Tisch to the Bedeken to the Chupah and then to the dinner and dancing in the Ballroom is seamless;also, each room is simple but elegant.Additionally, your wedding is the only wedding that is happening. So, for one day, you feel like you've invited all your friends and family to your very large beautiful home to celebrate a very important occasion.It's definitely a big space but it's a really warm and intimate place. Plus where all the wedding stuff happens is separate but connected to the actual hotel which is wonderful for the guests who opt to stay overnight.\rIn addition to the physical space, the staff at The Wilshire Grand is extraordinary. Travis, John, Matt and Junior plus everyone else we came in contact with had a \"whatever you need\" attitude.On the day of the wedding, everyone-the bride, the groom, the bridesmaids, the immediate family and guests-all felt incredibly well attended to. \rFor the Glatt Kosher catering, we worked with Eddie Izso from Main Event Catering.Eddie has done many events at The Wilshire Grand and it was very helpful to work with a caterer who knew the venue and had a good relationship with the staff at the hotel. Eddie really helped us understand what we needed to do to successfully navigate the day. ALL the food was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented.\rAlso, there is a very welcoming bar called Primavera which, for a nominal fee, you can get to stay open for the after party.There were alot of musicians who were guests at the wedding who brought their instruments to the after party. The bar was cool with that and it was nice to have a low-key moment to unwind with friends and family.\rWhen I started the wedding planning six months ago, I didn't really envision a wedding in New Jersey. I'm a hard core New Yorker, have not spent any time in NJ and most of our friends are in New York.But The Wilshire Caterers in West Orange ended up being an easy drive from NYC and the PERFECT venue for our beautiful simcha.

The food was amazing, cocktail hour was INSANE, and the service was incredible. My family and I are so happy with the Wilshire that my sister decided to use this venue for her wedding as well.

I just had my wedding at the Wilshire and I could not have been more impressed and beyond satisfied with their service and their food! I have to say that everything they promised was realized in a way I couldn't have even imagined and so effortlessly too.\r\rI had 170 people and there was plenty of room to spare in their largest ballroom. I had my own attendant who made sure I was okay the entire nite. The bridal suites downstairs are newly renovated and large for all 16 of us to hang out before the ceremony. coffee, sodas and snacks as well in the suites.\r\r The garden in the back was perfect to take pictures, as well as the fountain in the front. It was a 5 min trip to take some photos at Verona park as well. We weren't into taken the risk of an outdoor wedding but there is plenty of room for a ceremony in their garden. \rThe food is beyond spectacular which to me is the #1 reason you would pick a certain caterer. The cocktail hour is top notch. Top shelf large bar and did not hear that it took anyone too long to get drinks. \r\rLOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT\r\r

We met with John Bowes (director of catering), and we were instantly pleased with his personality and even more impressed by the beauty of the Wilshire Grand. The Grand Ballroom is just that; grand. It is elegant, clean and a perfect place for a wedding. After shopping around at numerous other places, it was agreed that The Wilshire Grand was the place. John was an absolute pleasure to work with. He always responded to emails/phone calls in a prompt manner and he did EVERYTHING possible to ensure that our day was perfect. Our cocktail hour was exceptional. All of our guests couldn't believe the quantity and QUALITY of the food that was served. Even though we didn't get to enjoy all of it, we were told it was all delicious. Our bridal attendant made us up a plate of food so that we could sample some of it. What we did get to eat was fantastic. The entire team that handled our wedding was fantastic. They made sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed. John even made sure that special dinners were made for my grandmothers!! We didn't get to eat our dinner until 2am, and only because they had packed up 2 dinners for us and had them waiting in the fridge in our bridal suite for us. Everything was perfect. Food was delicious and plentiful, service was fantastic, every room was spotless and the staff was beyond accommodating. We would highly recommend the Wilshire Grand Caterers (and hotel) to anyone. A special thank you to John Bowes for directing a fabulous staff and meeting all of our needs.

My daughter got married on October 6, 2012. Almost everything from planning to the reception went without a hitch. John (our wedding planner at the Wilshire Grand) was just phenomenal. From the first time we all met him, there was a great connection. He couldn't do more to help us. Very flexible with time and date and menu. John was just great. We had no pressure with securing a date and payment. The food was great, from the cocktail hour to dessert. John offered us everything from soup to nuts. We reserved 22 rooms the day of the wedding. The check in was fast and efficient. They even upgraded my room to a suite, which was beautiful and very clean and modern. All the rooms have flat screen T.V's....ours even had 2. I couldn't say more about the hotel and the dinner and the breakfast the next day was very nice. The only reason why I didn't give the venue a 5 star was because of the Wilshire Grand florist....Anthony the Wilshire Grand florist who houses his business in the basement of the venue was someone I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. My daughter met with him months before the wedding and contracted with him. The day of the wedding the flowers for the church NEVER SHOWED UP. There was NO flowers at the church. The flowers for the pew were nonexistent. The flowers to dress the altar were not there. The flowers for the church actually showed up when the were all on our way out...???? The delivery man from Anthony's florist was clueless....had a hard time speaking english and could not communicate with us. The wedding at the church was over so I somehow communicated to him to return the flowers to his homebase which was the Wilshire Grand. Upon getting to the Wilshire Grand I went to find Anthony the florist and noticed that the wedding cake was NOT decorated with fresh flowers that he promised. The centerpieces for the 18 tables which he charges almost $200 each were nothing like the pictures on the contract. We were suppose to have 3 tall glass vases filled with underwater flowers and candles. The vases were there but no flowers in them. It was a TOTAL disappointment. When I asked him about the church flowers he said we would get a refund and it has been a month now and no compensation. I did speak to Anthony directly the day of the wedding just prior to all the guests arriving and we were suppose to get a refund and we never did. My suggestion for the Wilshire Grand is to get him out of your venue as soon as possible....because he is bringing your rating down. Anthony the florist also promised special lighting for the table and the bride and I never saw anything that we could say was extra lighting. Anthony didn't charge us for the extra lighting but my daughter had to give him an extra deposit months in advance because he said he had a special client that night coming to view my daughters wedding .?? Anthony NEVER showed up to apologize that night....I guess that's about right....I would of hid too.....Thank you Wilshire Grand for a fabulous day. Anthony????refund is due.

The Wilshire Grand exceeded all my expecations on the day of our wedding. From the beginning, our coordinator John was excellent. Any questions I had he responded immediately and always made sure he was clear on what I was asking and/or wanted. On the day of our wedding, there was always someone there whether it was John, our maitre'd or bridal attendant with a smile making sure everything was ok and if we needed anything they made sure to make it their priority. My guests are still raving about the amount of food and how great it was. The place is gorgeous on the inside and definitely worth taking a look at if you are planning a wedding.

Long story short, our wedding was supposed to be on August 27, 2011, but was cancelled due to Hurricane Irene. We ended up getting married at the rehearsal dinner the night before on August 26th, with 4 hours notice and had to un-invite 200+ guests with incredibly short notice. My friend gave the Anderson Cooper Show our information as they were looking for \"wedding disaster\" stories, and we were on his show in April thinking that we were going to explain our story to other brides and explain the importance of wedding insurance and making sure you read through all of your contracts. Little did we know that we were going to get a surprise of a lifetime thanks to Ed Reagoso from The Wilshire Grand. Ed had contacted the show and out of the goodness of his heart, offered to give us the reception of our dreams that we never got to have completely 100% FREE; since he had heard our story and felt awful for what we had endured. We recently celebrated our 1-year anniversary of our marriage at The Wilshire Grand Hotel on August 19th, 2012 and it was more than we could have ever dreamt was possible. In addition to the dream reception, he provided us with a bridal suite stocked with mimosas and other beverages, a suite for my husband and I to stay in the night of, along with 10 other hotel rooms for our family and friends all also FREE! The reception was absolutely amazing to say the least!! The florist, Anthony Ferraz, provided us with beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets of our choice, and Stephen, from Jason Craig Entertainment, provided us with an amazing DJ along with a percussionist and guitar player to enhance the music and get the crowd going...all of it worked! Bill Zolna from the catering department gave us an elaborate cocktail hour stocked with 6 food stations, countless passed hors d'oeuvres, a signature cocktail we wanted our guests to enjoy, a 5-hour top-shelf open bar, beautiful ice sculpture with top-shelf drink options and a full sit-down 3-course dinner, and the wedding cake we wanted, all of our choice, to complete the night. There was a personal maitre'd for both my husband and I that followed us around the whole night making sure that we were taken care of and get us whatever our hearts desired. We were given a fresh cocktail everytime we put one down to talk with guests, and food from cocktail hour, along with the meals we ate that night, was packed up and sent to our room for us to enjoy the next day to make sure that we got to enjoy the food. Ed and the white-glove service the staff provided was above and beyond anything we ever expected we would be able to have on our wedding day, and yet they exceeded it! They are an amazing group of people and they will be forever remembered for what they gave us...as they changed our lives forever! Anyone who is planning to get married and wants the wedding of their dreams should choose The Wilshire, as they demonstrate good people still exist and will do their best to make your dream come true!! We can't thank Ed and the staff of The Wilshire enough for everything they did for us! Thank you all so much!! We love and are grateful for all of you! :)

Just from looking at The Wilshire Grand online I knew I wanted this for my wedding venue. I really wanted a hotel and was unhappy with how impersonal most were. The Wilshire Grand is a venue that happens to have a hotel, not a hotel that does weddings. There was also a restaurant right there for the after party. \rThe cocktail hour and the Viennese dessert hour were both amazing! There was so much food we didn't even need dinner. Everything was so beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious! \rIt was a beautiful day so part of our cocktail hour was outside which was wonderful. We had a lot of stations, martini bar, and raw bar for cocktail hour. For dessert we had so many things I barely saw them all. The highlight for me was the cotton candy and chocolate fountain! \rWe originally worked with Scott who is no longer there and eventually worked with Bill also with a lot of help from John. They were all wonderful! Also our maitre d Matt was fabulous. I didn't interact much with the other staff and didn't find my bridal attendant to be helpful. Luckily I had a day of coordinator, Cindy at All About You Events, who was wonderful. \rBefore the wedding I dropped off tons of boxes filled with items to be used at my wedding with instructions that were put out beautifully. Everything was packed up perfectly for us after the wedding. \rWhen we went to pick up everything the woman in the office wasn't very helpful and there seemed to be miscommunication as to where all of our stuff was. \rAt times it was hard to get in touch with Bill due to email glitches but since the staff works as a team it was usually not a problem to get answers from somewhere. \rWith the hotel and restaurant being all connected to the venue it was very convenient, however they are all separately run so you have to contact each one individually which wasn't too convenient. \rAll in all I would definitely recommend The Wilshire Grand. Many of my guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and everything was perfect. I didn't give the venue a perfect score because I had a hard time at my wedding getting some items I special requested, my bridal attendant was not too helpful, sometimes the response time was a bit slow, and the day after we were a little brushed aside. However these were small things and we had a great experience. I do definitely recommend getting your own coordinator to make sure everything goes smoothly!\rLastly in terms of value it was great. We got a ton of upgrades included and the more people we guaranteed the more we got. Also uplighting is included and chivalri chairs. We had two ice sculptures as well which were beautiful and the decor was very elegant and beautiful. If you are looking for a venue with a hotel and a bar for a after party The Whilshire Grand is a great choice. I hope someday I get invited to a wedding there do I can enjoy the whole experience since I was so busy at my wedding and missed so much!

Just from looking at The Wilshire Grand online I knew I wanted this for my wedding venue. I really wanted a hotel and was unhappy with how impersonal most were. The Wilshire Grand is a venue that happens to have a hotel, not a hotel that does weddings. There was also a restaurant right there for the after party. \rThe cocktail hour and the Viennese dessert hour were both amazing! There was so much food we didn't even need dinner. Everything was so beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious! \rIt was a beautiful day so part of our cocktail hour was outside which was wonderful. We had a lot of stations, martini bar, and raw bar for cocktail hour. For dessert we had so many things I barely saw them all. The highlight for me was the cotton candy and chocolate fountain! \rWe originally worked with Scott who is no longer there and eventually worked with Bill also with a lot of help from John. They were all wonderful! Also our maitre d Matt was fabulous. I didn't interact much with the other staff and didn't find my bridal attendant to be helpful. My husband and I fell in love with the Wilshire Grand the minute we walked through the doors. The decor is beautiful, the food is out of this world (we got rave reviews from all of our guests) and our Catering Director, John Bowes, blew us away with his hospitality and responsiveness on everything! My makeup artist actually booked The Wilshire Grand a few days after my wedding because she fell in love with it too. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone as a wedding venue.

Every single person we worked with from start to finish was an absolute pleasure! The venue was beautiful and set up in such a classy way. Cocktail hour was AMAZING. Guests are still talking about the martini bar! John, Bill, Matt, and another wonderful young lady (so sorry I forgot her name!) were extremely attentive all night. Anything we wanted, they went out of their way to accomplish. We had a fairly large wedding (260+) and all of our guests had a great time! Highly recommended! A++++

Every single person we worked with from start to finish was an absolute pleasure! The venue was beautiful and set up in such a classy way. Cocktail hour was AMAZING. The Wilshire Grand was absolutely the best place for our wedding! It's beautiful, reasonably priced for NJ and friends and family are still talking about how \"over the top\" the food was! We were married outside, had the cocktail hour in the garden room and the reception in the Grand Ballroom. Anne was our coordinator and she was wonderful to work with and made sure everything we discussed prior to the wedding was taken care of. They are great to work with and catered to our vision of a \"50s Station\" with mini hamburgers, milkshakes and hot dogs at our cocktail hour! All the guests loved that! Beware of the outside wedding area. The gazebo needs a paint job badly and the grass was not mowed recently before my wedding. It was difficult for myself and my bridesmaids to walk down the aisle and the photos reflect that. During, the wedding the Maître'd (Keith) told my vendors that I did not purchase meals for them and that he would \"throw it in as an extra\". This was absolutely untrue and I had in fact paid for all of my vendors to eat a full meal. This was embarrassing for me as the bride, considering I had told my vendors before the event that meals would be provided. Overall, the experience was goodand we left very happy and very full.

The Wilshire Grand provided me with the best wedding I could have ever asked for. I had my cocktail hour in the Garden Room, reception in the Grand Ballroom, after party at the Primavera Restaurant, and had guests stay over at the hotel. It was a no-fuss day!\r\rWe worked with Bill to organize our perfect day. The tasting was what got my family and I very excited for the big day. The food was outstanding! Keith was our maitre'd. He helped us on the wedding day to assure we had a great time. \r\rThe food display was breathtaking, including the signature drink table, mashed potato bar, and ice sculpture! My guests raved about the overall food experience between the cocktail hour and the reception. All the food was served hot and cooked to their liking. The desert was fabulous(warm apple crisp, and the waffle basket). There was even a coffee bar at the reception serving cappachinos, lattes, and espresso with cordials. \r\rAfter our reception, my guests headed over to Primavera restaurant to continue the party! We drank and danced the night away!!\r\rNelsy, the hotel coordinator, was FABULOUS. She attended to our needs very well. She put a picture slideshow of my husband and I on the flat screens throughout the hotel and venue. The rooms were extremely clean and spacious. We had a group breakfast the next morning which was a nice way to recap the night's events. \r\rMy friends and family had the most amazing time at this wedding and considered it one of the best ever! I truly believe it was! My husband and I are trying to convince another friend to get married there, so we can enjoy it as guests. If you decide on the Wilshire, we'd be glad to attend! ;)\r\rThis place has everything you would ever need in a venue all wrapped up in an elegant package. From the bathrooms, to the lobby, to the rooms, everything screams elegance. Thank you Wilshire!!

Our wedding was at the Wilshire Grand and it was wonderful! The service of the people who worked there was excellent. It was convenient to have a hotel attached to the venue, making it easier for the out of town guests. Also, unlike many hotel venues, there is a separate entrance to the wedding hall area, and there are not hotel guests traipsing around at the entrance. We had a kosher wedding and there were some mis-communications between the caterer and the hall, where they sometimes gave us conflicting information. That was frustrating - it was miscommunication between the higher management and the staff on the ground. They did their best to rectify the situation, though. The other excellent factor is that the hotel was really friendly and blocking off rooms was easy and convenient. The price they gave us for the room block was fine, but there were times that our guests were able to find cheaper rates on hotels.com. It was really wonderful: The hotel threw a complementary suite for us and during the wedding, they had put rose petals throughout the room and a bottle of champagne on the jacuzzi. It was really lovely and was an excellent touch as a way to end our special day!
