The Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon is a wedding venue situated in Bozeman, MT that is brimming with charms, dreamy views, and lofty trees. Enveloped by the fragrant mountain air and complemented by the blue canopies of sky, you can celebrate with your loved ones in true Montana style. In this locale, you can surround yourself with nature while you dine, dance, and be merry in the whimsical setting. Established in 2004, The Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon possesses an enduring allure. Elsa, the founder, realized her dream of opening the venue with the assistance of her husband. Elsa grew up in Bozeman and always knew that it was and would continue to be her home. Full of a zest for life, Elsa and her team enjoy sharing The Woodlands with others, helping lovebirds mark the start of their newlywed life. She runs the venue with the aid of Jaslin, an event coordinator, and Katie, who helps with setup and decorating. Together, the team will combine their talents and enthusiasm to help you make treasured memories. There are a few places throughout The Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon that you can use for your special occasion. The Great Room, with its fireplace and elegant chandeliers, suits gatherings of up to 200 people. If guests want to take in the beauty of the outdoors, they can move out onto the patio. Weddings may also take place in the meadow, which boasts an idyllic setting for your vows. The venue is open from May until October. To help you transform the space, the staff provides tables and chairs as well as a selection of linens. In order for you to use the venue in a way fitting to your tastes and theme, the team allows you to bring in your caterer of choice. They also offer a selection of decor for you to pick from, as well as a ceremony arch. For your convenience, there are dressing rooms as well as a honeymoon cabin for you and your sweetheart after the celebrations are over.

The Woodlands exceeded our already high expectations! Our daughter’s wedding was 3 weeks ago, and we are all still basking in the glow of the memories of the most perfect day. The property is gorgeous and they offer various packages to suit different budgets. The website offers a list of trusted vendors , and that was invaluable in our planning. We were happy with all of our vendors, and Elsa had worked with them all on many occasions and they all worked as a team on the wedding day to coordinate the details. We had the A team that day!We had 70 guests from 13 states, so it was essentially a destination wedding, with so much planning from long distance. Elsa and Taye did a great job in understanding all of our concerns and requests. They even wore purple dresses on the day of the wedding to match our colors!I can’t say enough about the personal touch and individualized attention that you will receive if you are fortunate enough to have your special day at this beautiful little slice of heaven. I highly recommend!Thank you Elsa and Taye!

My husband and I took our first vacation to Whitefish and absolutely fell in love with Montana on that trip. When we got engaged and started planning our wedding we had family & friends flying from all over that we thought we'd do it there to show them the beautiful state. We came out to visit venues in Whitefish & Bozeman and found a couple that we liked but nothing that we LOVED. I stumbled across The Woodlands when we were back home, we did a virtual tour with Elsa and immediately booked it sight unseen until the week of the wedding. When we finally saw it in person we were stunned at how much more beautiful it was in person. The drive in from downtown is absolutely gorgeous, you pull up to the venue and you're surrounded by trees. The Greatroom where we had our reception was meticulously maintained and updated, the dressing rooms were adorable and so spacious for all of the bridal party, everything just really made sense. Elsa & Jaslin were great to work with, I think Meaghan was our day of manager who was amazing and easy to work with. Everything just flowed so well. Great vendors really make a great wedding and you will not go wrong booking the Woodlands, and take it from us you can even do it sight unseen and be stoked. All of our guests voted our wedding one of the best, with a venue that was unlike any other they've been to. Thank you for everything!

The woodlands was our dream wedding venue. Being from out of state, we booked everything online and did not get to see the venue until the day before our wedding. It is truly even more beautiful in person. The venue as a whole has everything you need and promotes a great flow for your event from the outside ceremony space to the patio cocktail hour and indoor/outdoor reception. The staff is very communicative and so easy to work with. We had the pleasure of using Jaslin as our day-of coordinator who made the day of stress-free. Would recommend this venue to anyone!

We had our wedding at the woodlands on 6/12/2021 and it was the most perfect day. We hired Elsa as our day of coordinator and I think every couple that can do it should! She was a rockstar! She hosted our rehearsal and made sure everyone knew their role while also having a blast. She troubleshot every issue that came up day of and had them all fixed before we even knew! She the woodlands made us feel so loved. I can’t even get started on the views!!! Overall an amazing and welcoming experience. We know they do so many weddings every year but they made us feel that our day was just as important to them as it was to us!

The Woodlands is an absolutely beautiful venue. Everything was gorgeous and fully equipped to host a wedding, which was super convenient. It also helps that all the wedding vendors in the area have worked dozens of weddings there so they know it well (no chance of caterers getting lost on their way to your wedding!). The only complaint I would have is that the staff can be a it hard to get ahold of at times. They don’t check their email every day so expect a few days to pass before any issues can be addressed. Overall, an amazing venue!

Don't plan on a ton of decorations, because Mother Nature has already decorated beautifully. The loft is definitely worth the price as it is an elegant and comfortable place to get ready or relax. On top of all of that, Elsa and the rest of the staff are great to work with! The venue owner is very nice, but she can be a little scatter brained. Still, we would very much recommend this location to any couple looking for the perfect, nature location.

We had our ceremony here and loved it! Elsa Campbell is wonderful to work with, and the scenery for our wedding was absolutely beautiful! The entire venue is very well kept. We had dinner in the great room and it was very clean and decorated beautifully. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding venue. The honeymoon suite was great too! Very cozy and rustic.

He told me that the Woodlands was hands down the most beautiful wedding venue he had ever seen. I trusted his judgement, and we booked the Woodlands before I had seen it myself. I am so glad we did! Such a gorgeous location for our wedding!! It was so peaceful, romantic, and we were able to transform the area indoors and out to fit the style of our wedding. Elsa was exceptional - she really cared about us and did all that she could do help, while still blending into the background of things. All of our guests loved it too and we got soo many compiments throughout the evening. At the end of the night, when everyone had left, the bridge lit up with white lights was so romantic and gave my new husband and I a very special moment to reflect back on our amazing day.

The weather turned out perfect so we were able to have the wedding on the meadow. The early October night was cool but the use of the fire columns allowed a nice flow of people in and out of the venue. Owners were very helpful and available for any questions or concerns. Minimal decorating due to the naturaly beauty!

The weather turned out perfect so we were able to have the wedding on the meadow. The early October night was cool but the use of the fire columns allowed a nice flow of people in and out of the venue. Owners were very helpful and available for any questions or concerns. Minimal decorating due to the naturaly beauty!
