Wedding Date 01-05-2021
My wife and I hosted our wedding welcome party at Mamey on 3rd located in the Thesis Hotel on Friday 4/30 before our wedding on Saturday 5/1. Our guests stayed at The Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove. We had 140 guests from 7pm to 10pm at Mamey on 3rd with open bar and food. We can’t speak to the hotel specifically but if you are looking for a welcome party venue with experienced staff that will offer a fun and lively atmosphere with good food and drink then look no further than Mamey on 3rd.Shannon at Mamey/Thesis made our welcomeparty vision become a reality and all of our guests had an amazing time. We didn’t have to worry about anything going on all evening. It was just taken care of. Shannon understood that it was important to work within our budget and she made it work perfectly. Food and drink service was quick and tasty. All guests were greeted with a welcome cocktail which was a fun and thoughtful way to set the tone for the evening. Bartenders and wait staff were attentive to all guests the entire evening. We hosted from 7 to 10pm and no one wanted to leave. Although the hotel and restaurant are less than 1 year old it seemed like they had been doing private events at Mamey on 3rd for years. The evening was so smooth with experience staff and support. The perfect way to welcome guests to our special weekend that we hope other couples will enjoy too.

The reason we stayed at this hotel is that we decided to host our Indian wedding here. This means we had to coordinate and communicate a lot with the property. Shannon has been a rockstar and she has done everything to her best to make our dream wedding come true. She has been so responsive, responsible, patient and has made sure every detail is attended to. We had booked 9 rooms for friends and family, everyone had the best experience staying here. The rooms are big, clean, modern and the service is impeccable. This hotel made our big day so special. When it comes to food, Chef Niven knows it all. At Mamey, you will find a great mix of fusion food, that will feel like heaven to the palette. If you are looking for a great wedding venue with great food, drinks, service and hotel rooms, look no further than Thesis Hotel- you will be happy!! I would highly recommend planning your special day at this location.

Okay bear with me because this is going to be a long review.First off, my husband and I were planning our wedding mostly virtually as we are currently living in Cleveland, OH. Our wedding ceremony was at Vizcaya Museum + Gardens and our wedding reception was at Cocoplum Womans Club. We wanted to find a hotel close to our reception for our out of town guests, and that is was lead us to stumble upon THesis hotel. Out of every hotel that I had contacted for blocking, the contact at THesis (Elizabeth Dubon) was by far the most responsive, reliable and professional. Elizabeth had set up a hotel block for us and set my husband and I up in a suite for our wedding night. We also worked with Shannon, another event coordinator at the THesis to plan our rehearsal dinner. We had a wonderful sit down dinner for about 45 people with open bar and 2 entree choices (we went with fish and chicken). The food was INCREDIBLE!! Not only was the food and service impeccable - the hotel itself is just absolutely gorgeous. It has a beautiful roof top view, tons of areas inside to host a small or large dinner/event, an amazing and clean!! pool and new CLEAN rooms! All of my guests were extremely impressed. If I would have known of THesis prior to booking my wedding/ceremony venues, I likely would have just booked everything there!! (Ceremony, reception, etc). Honestly it is such a perfect space for hosting an event and the service is superb. For anyone booking a hotel block in the future for their wedding guests - a suite is MORE than enough space for a wedding party to get ready in the morning (hair and makeup). We ended up using the suite for 8 + girls to get ready in addition to 3 makeup/hair artists and booked another king room where the guys got ready. Would recommend this venue x100000000

Where to begin, the hotel is absolutely stunning! Every corner around this Hotel is gorgeous! It was a no brainer, the minute we saw the space we knew our wedding would be there! Shannon and her team were amazing, every detail we planned was executed to perfection and exceeded all of our expectations! The food, drinks, and the service was amazing! Our guests were so impressed and happy with everything! Our wedding was magical and the best day of our lives! THANK YOU Shannon for your patience, attention to detail, and making this entire wedding process feel like a breeze! If you’re looking for a venue in Miami, look no further this is your place! I highly recommend it and you will not regret it! The most amazing experience!

We had the most amazing experience hosting our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner at THesis! Shannon was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process, making sure to account for every last detail. She was collaborative and open to our ideas, ultimately coming up with the perfect menu and cocktail options. On the day of the event, Shannon's team made sure everything went smoothly and that we and our guests were taken care of. Would definitely recommend THesis as a venue for any event needs. We loved this team and would love to host another event here in the future!

Shannon brings 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry with a focus on catering and events. Shannon began her career in Orlando. In 2015 Shannon took her career to Miami and worked for several upstanding companies such as W Hotels Worldwide, Marriott Hotels Worldwide, and Mr. C Hotels. Most recently, Shannon accepted the role of Catering Sales Manager for THesis Hotel Miami overseeing all catering sales and event serving.
