We had our wedding at the Garden Center and it was perfect. Everyone at This Is The Place was so friendly and easy to work with. I called them several times while planning with random questions and they were always willing to help. Our rental started at 3:00 and they had all the tables and everything setup so that we could quickly decorate. It’s a stunning venue and they made everything so easy! I’d highly recommend working with them for any event. Reviewed on 13-07-2023
Camille Ibrahim(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-02-2023 We booked The Garden Place building for our wedding and it was an absolute dream. Every staff member that we interacted with from start to finish was quick to respond and so helpful! We had a couple uncommon requests and they did everything possible to make it happen for us. Each vendor had a super easy time working with the venue for set up and take down. I am so glad we chose this venue and if we had to do it all over again we would pick The Garden Place ever time! When we got there yesterday, Abby and Libby were SO incredibly helpful wanting to help caring things in, etc. Without them, we would not have been so organized or clean at the end of the night. They were darling and wonderful, as was the whole staff at This is the Place. I look forward to going back and doing business with them again. Reviewed on 07-10-2017

Unbelievably unprofessional! Beware! The people that you meet with that make commitments to you are not the people that implement. Natalie, an event coordinator, was unbelievably rude. They did not prepare the venues as promised, nor have things prepared on time for our event, so everything got started late. They added a great deal of stress to our occasion that was unnecessary, as well as not following through on what was promised. Reviewed on 30-07-2015
Mark Hitt(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-05-2015 It couldn't be a better venue. The location is central, the view is stellar, ample free parking. The only reason I did not give them five stars is their pricing is at least $500 more than comparable venues, and their Non-preferred caterer fee is $400. Yikes. The staff are responsive and professional. It was a beautiful wedding! Reviewed on 11-06-2015
Clara Stratford(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-10-2014 We had our ring ceremony and reception at the Ottinger Hall up on the top of the hill. The weather was perfect, so we didn't have any problems with our outdoor/indoor set up. The hostess that This is the Place provided was very helpful. And everything was set up in time.\r\rThe only problem was that some of the signs leading cars up to the venue were wrong, which left people at a closed gate that wouldn't open. Several people ended up missing the ring ceremony because they couldn't figure out how to get up there. Reviewed on 28-10-2014
Maria Wilson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-05-2014 This is the place was absolutely perfect. The people were amazing to work with and the venue is breath taking. We had our ceremony in the Pine Valley Chapel and then our reception in the Kimble Home. Reviewed on 16-06-2014
Kaitlyn Myrup(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2013 I loved having my wedding here! It was perfect for an outdoor wedding. The historical buildings around the park were perfect for pictures. The weather for a fall wedding was perfect. We didn't need much decorations because being outside and having the buildings dressed it up quite a bit already. They were so great when we made an appointment to look at the different buildings. The service was excellent and they had someone there to help us out with anything, any time we needed it. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE! I wouldn't change a thing about it. Mollie Doyle(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-06-2013 I'm so glad I choose This is The Place! We were married in the Atkin home in June 2013. We had 120 guests and there was plenty of room for everyone. They all fit nicely in the orchard for the ceremony, though we had to rent extra chairs because the venue only had 72. Their staff did a great job moving tables into the orchard after the ceremony for the reception. The inside has large window sills and fire place mantles for decorations. We had plenty of space for food in the room between the orchard and patio, and we had a photobooth with prop table in the living room. I got ready in the room upstairs with the balcony. They had a beautiful couch and full size mirror that we used for pictures and a nice old fashioned bathtub in the bathroom. We also rented the train to bring guests from the main parking lot to the house. They seemed to enjoy it, though we didn't rent it for long enough, so most people had to walk back to their cars at the end of the night. Over all, it was the perfect the venue for us. \r\rTheir price is very reasonable as well. I don't remember exactly, but it was around 2,000 including the train. Reviewed on 19-07-2013
Sarah LaBarge(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-06-2013 We absolutely LOVED our wedding brunch at the Pack Home. We were looking for an intimate place to have a brunch after our sealing in the temple. The Pack Home was PERFECT! It held our party of 60 perfectly and there was still space. The attendant was great and helpful to our needs. The site and the feeling inside the space was exactly what we wanted.\r\rA few downfalls- it is hard to get in contact with the people who work in the office, so keep calling and leaving messages. Make sure you are clear and double check with the staff because sometime I would tell one person on the phone something that was not communicated to another person. to make sure the set up correctly. Also, we had to do some clean up after the brunch (all our decorations and food)- their staff does the set up and then just puts away the chairs and tables and sweeps the floors. I wasn't made aware of that and it made the end of the brunch a bit stressful for my family.\r\rHowever, for the great, special, and close moments and memories we shared during our brunch was wonderful and I wouldn't chose anywhere else! The workers there are very helpful and willing to meet with you anytime to discuss things. We were able to rent our specific venue within the park, linens, and a train to take around the pioneer village for less than $1000. The best part about it was the service we had. The crew there took care of all the set-up and take down (all we had to do was bring in our homemade centerpieces!). We had two hostesses there throughout the reception to take care of any other needs. They literally catered to our every whim for no additional costs.
