We had a welcome dinner for a leadership group at our church. The staff was great to work with leading up to the event, and during the event. The room was beautiful and cozy with the view and the fireplace. The food was delicious!

I had my daughter’s bridal shower at Thousand Oaks in the Oak Leaf lounge. We had 30 attendees but it could easily accommodate 50-60. The food was delicious (basil pesto chicken, herb roasted potatoes, broccolini, Mac&chs and garden salad.) Everything was cooked to perfection and beautiful presentation. The staff was very organized, efficient and friendly. We had a lemon theme bridal shower, so I had yellow napkins and brought lemon table runners and did pitchers with fresh lemon for centerpieces. Jillissa Dolly was my event coordinator and she did a wonderful with communication and helping me organize the event

The wedding coordinator was awesome and easy to work with. Our food was excellent! Draw backs were it was so nice on the patio none of our guests wanted to be inside on the dance floor, you cannot take extra food home, and they ran out of some of our drink selections 2 hours before the bar closed. Overall would recommend this venue!

Thousand Oaks was great to work with from the very beginning. Jillissa was super helpful, kind and transparent when it came to what was needed to be purchased on our end for the venue, and through Thousand Oaks. We had a great evening for our wedding reception through Thousand Oaks, the setting was beautiful for it, it had plenty of indoor and outdoor space which allowed for an intimate setting for dinner and the first dances, cake cutting, etc... but also allowed for outdoor seating throughout the night so our guests could spread out and choose to either be on the dance floor or enjoy the Michigan summer evening. Really thankful for the help and assistance Thousand Oaks and Jillissa provided, and would certainly recommended the venue.

We had a wonderful experience with Thousand Oaks for our son's rehearsal dinner! The staff was very attentive and interacted wonderfully with our guests, especially the bartender. He went above and beyond to make the event enjoyable for all. The food was amazing and the view from the private balcony in the Oak Leaf Lounge was spectacular. Our event manager, Jillissa was very attentive and quick to answer any questions I had before and after our event. I highly recommend Thousand Oaks for a stress-free event.

We celebrated our wedding reception at Red's at Thousand Oaks on June 22, 2023. We opted for a Thursday night reception so we participated in the All-Inclusive package, which for the small number of guests we had I would do that all over again. Jillissa was our event planner and from the moment we showed interest in the venue, she was there to answer my thousand questions, walk us through the process and make sure the day went smoothly. The venue itself was beautiful, the food was wonderful and our day went as planned. I would highly recommend this venue.

We hosted a bridal shower at the Birch Room at TOGC. Overall a good experience. They offer a large catering menu and the food was good. The staff could have been a little more attentive clearing tables. I would recommend them for a future event.

The sales manager, banquet manager and staff were all very courteous, responsive to our needs, and easy to work with! The taco buffet and desserts were tasty. The facility is not extravagant, but is nice and clean. We appreciated having parking directors and golf carts for transport available as we arrived and departed. One exit made it slow for our large group to leave the property.

The food here is amazing don't get me wrong, but our event coordinator was less than amazing. She had no passion for her job or in helping us. She also was very unmotivated to be knowledgeable about her job, answering every question we asked with \"I don't knows\". She did not help us create a table layout and made us. She had over 20 mistakes on our banquet event order form, which she only showed me because I asked. The mistakes weren't spelling, they were incorrect guest counts, wrong liquors, wrong meals, etc. I was very disappointed with the quality of her performance.

Nicole, the event coordinator, and all staff were super great to work with and made sure everything was perfect for our big day. We have gotten so many compliments on how pretty everything was, how good the food was, and how awesome the drinks were 😊 I recommend Thousand Oaks to any bride and groom who are looking for a beautiful venue that has just about everything included! We got ready in the locker rooms there-drank mimosas and ate breakfast and lunch. There were so many gorgeous locations on site to take pictures and the wrap around deck was awesome for guests to mingle and enjoy a drink on! LOVED THOUSAND OAKS!

Nicole, the event coordinator, and all staff were super great to work with and made sure everything was perfect for our big day. We have gotten so many compliments on how pretty everything was, how good the food was, and how awesome the drinks were 😊 I recommend Thousand Oaks to any bride and groom who are looking for a beautiful venue that has just about everything included! They worked well with my Day of Events Coordinator Carrie Silverthorne. Our guests were so happy with the service of the food and drinks! The food was amazing and we were so excited about how the day went! The venue is simply gorgeous too! Thank you for all your hard work and making our day so memorable!

They worked well with my Day of Events Coordinator Carrie Silverthorne. Our guests were so happy with the service of the food and drinks! My other reception place fell through and Nicole was willing to make it all happen mostly in the 2 days before I left on vacation, which was 3 weeks before the wedding. Overall, we were very happy with Thousand Oaks Golf Club as our venue. The newly remodeled Grand Oaks ballroom was definitely the selling point for us. Large room, beautiful foyer, lots of space and multiple bar areas made everyone feel very comfortable.\rService was not bad, there were a few people who ended up getting served incorrect meals but that was the only concern.\rFood was quite good, some prime rib dinners were inconsistent on temperature. We had the baker do the cake as well. It was very good and we received many compliments on it!\rOverall, very pleased. The coordinators were easy to contact and helped plan everything out.

Overall, we were very happy with Thousand Oaks Golf Club as our venue. The newly remodeled Grand Oaks ballroom was definitely the selling point for us. Large room, beautiful foyer, lots of space and multiple bar areas made everyone feel very comfortable.\rService was not bad, there were a few people who ended up getting served incorrect meals but that was the only concern.\rFood was quite good, some prime rib dinners were inconsistent on temperature. We had the baker do the cake as well. It was very good and we received many compliments on it!\rOverall, very pleased. The coordinators were easy to contact and helped plan everything out.

We had our wedding reception at Thousand Oaks and could not have been happier with the venue! The staff was exceptional - the wedding coordinator Nicole is fantastic and highly organized. We also utilized the locker rooms for getting ready and the space was perfect. The food was decent for a country club, albeit it was better at the tasting than the night of the wedding. Bar packages are fairly reasonable compared to other venues and they were able to order us special craft beer to offer our guests which was a huge bonus. Event space is beautiful and our pictures turned out amazing! Highly recommend!

We had our wedding reception at Thousand Oaks and could not have been happier with the venue! The staff was exceptional - the wedding coordinator Nicole is fantastic and highly organized. Everything at Thousand Oaks was perfect. They were extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process and very easy to communicate with. Would recommend them to anyone having a wedding in Grand Rapids!

The staff is very attentive and was able to move 175 people through the buffet in 20 minutes! Everyone had an amazing time thanks to all of the little touches the staff provided, such as hanging guests coats and taking presents from them at the door. I would highly recommend this venue!

Even though they went through 3 wedding coordinators in the time I booked the site to the time of the actual wedding, the final result was fabulous! All of the staff was so friendly and helpful on the day of the wedding. The venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious, they have a great Women's Locker room for getting ready with the bridesmaids, and scenery (even though it was gloomy and rainy and the ceremony was supposed to be outside!) was fantastic. There were many options for the food and bar. The lobby area was a great size and layout for the guests to visit and for the guest book and favor tables. I Highly recommend Thousand Oaks!

Our reception at Grand Oaks was beautiful, but leading up to the big day was filled with headaches as the site went through 3 wedding planners in 6 months (the length of our engagement) and we had to struggle to get in touch with the wedding planner and food and service director. When in person, they were very nice, friendly and efficient, but if it was over phone or e-mail I found them to be very distant and hard to contact. We also had to hound them for our final invoice, received it the day before the wedding, and then due to their own mathematical error, we received a new one halfway through our reception. \rWe got a great discount on the room rental due to having a Friday wedding, and overall it was a great choice, but be prepared to fight for attention if you're not sitting down with them in person.

Thousand Oaks is by far the most beautiful location we looked into for our wedding.\rWe used the golf range for our ceremony (absolutely beautiful, despite some golfers using other areas of the range during our ceremony) \rThe food was spectacular and guests went on and on about the cake after the wedding. \rHowever, we did have some difficulties with the service the day of. When we first booked T.Oaks our coordinator was Leah, she was great - always helpful with all of my questions, never took more than a day to respond. Unfortunately, a month before our wedding she moved and was replaced with Kristin who, maybe was just too new at the job then, but was really not up to par. She took way too long to answer questions - wasn't really around on the day of the wedding to help out (when she assured us she would be), she floated in and out during the day, we had no way of contacting her if something came up - we'd have to wander around and just hope we found her. \rWe relied on her for the most important details during our special day (like making sure our string organists at the ceremony actually played the Bridal March as I entered the tent, which didn't happen until I was more than 1/2 way done with my walk)\r\rOverall- We are happy with our choice- the pictures turned out beautifully and the ceremony was wonderful.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend a wedding reception here - especially in the fall so you can overlook the course and see the beautiful fall colors. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. Everything went as smoothly as it could have. Jessica and Lori from Thousand Oaks were so easy to work with and made sure our wedding was everything we imagined it'd be. We did not, however, have the cake. We had an outside baker bring the cake in because we did not like the cake when we tasted it prior. The ONLY downfall was that they mandatory charge over $1 per person to have the cake cut. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect! I can't count how many compliments we got on the food. And the price is very reasonable!!

Thousand Oaks is by far the most beautiful location we researched. The food was spectacular and guests raved about the cake for weeks after the wedding. However, we did have some difficulties with the service the day of. There was a second wedding ceremony going on at the same time as ours on the golf course, so we requests for champagne in the dressing room and things like that were flat out ignored. We were told (and we paid) for the cart path to be closed off during the ceremony, and later guests told us that a golf cart drove past during the wedding. Also, we chose an untraditional selection of hors d'oeuvres, and they (as well as the late night snacks) were tucked into corners, so many guests didn’t see them. We did not do that great of a job picking up after the ceremony, so the staff packed up for us. Unfortunately some of our decorations we left were missing when we came back for them. Other wedding parties have access to the closet in the reception room, and no lockers were provided for the wedding party (lockers were promised when we signed the deposit, but we did not get this is writing and according to our coordinator too many keys were lost/stolen so they ended that policy). \rOverall- I am thrilled with our choice- the pictures are beautiful and the ceremony (outside) was flawless. Also the coordinator was always courteous and helpful despite my million questions leading up to the wedding day. I would recommend that you stay organized the day of, or hire a separate wedding coordinator, as you can not be sure that you will be the only bride they are attending to.
