An Intimate Space to Celebrate
Thunderhead Pines is an intimate wedding venue in Smithville, OH. Originally built in 1903, this 10-acre homestead is a quaint event venue nestled in a quiet country setting. Located just an hour outside Cleveland, it provides a charming and private backdrop for your celebration. Thunderhead Pines is home to indoor and outdoor event spaces. Once your guests arrive, you can host a memorable outdoor ceremony on the lawns, or patio. This space can be customized with florals and other decorative items to create a truly one-of-a-kind setting for exchanging your vows. After, enjoy a cocktail hour on the sprawling patio while taking in views of the landscaped gardens and pond. You and up to 150 guests can then celebrate your forever union in the beautiful event barn. It features warm wood, a stone fireplace, and vintage light fixtures to create a rustic yet elegant ambiance. Bridal suite is available before the event begins, with mirrors and chairs for four and a full bathroom. The groom can wait in the groom loft while the guests arrive and enjoy the space before seeing his beautiful bride. The Thunderhead Pines team aims to provide everything needed to host an unforgettable celebration. All venue rentals include cocktail tables, chairs, complete table settings, and bar services, golf cart services and clean up services and a venue coordinator. The team will take care of the setup, service, and clean-up so that you can focus your attention on enjoying every moment of your wedding day. You can opt to add on use of the large covered porch if you'd like an additional space for entertainment and dancing if desired. Current promotion includes a Dj service that provides one less thing for you to worry about. ( while availability lasts) Come tour with us and let the property speak for itself.

We worked with Thunderhead Pines for a dinner event and the process could not have been smoother or more enjoyable. Christina and Jennifer were wonderful to work with, and did everything they could to make the night go smoothly.The space was a beautiful mix of rustic and classic elegance. We absolutely plan to work with them again!
