A Classic Space Offering Endless Opportunities
Situated in Indianapolis, IN, Tinker House Events is an enchanting wedding venue. This space sits on the second floor of The Tinker House, a stunning historical establishment with a quaint sense of charm. Here, you and your sweetheart can celebrate any milestone event along your wedding journey, from the engagement party and wedding showers to the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. Your experience will be guided by the team here, who will be there to help ease any stress and bring to life a day that you have only ever dreamed of. Spread over 4,000 square meters, the venue is brought to life with a wooden, industrial vibe. Large paneled windows adorn the exposed brick walls, allowing ambient light to seep into the space. A stylish hanging-bulb chandelier fixture takes over to light up the room after dark. You can say "I do" in a ceremony here, then watch as Tinker House Events is quickly transformed into your dream reception space. While there is an intimate atmosphere throughout the setting, you can host a party of up to 200 guests for a seated celebration, or up to 230 for a standing soirée. Rental packages begin at 12 hours and can be extended so you and your loved ones can dance into the night. Thanks to a heating and air conditioning system, your guests will be kept comfortable any time of year. There will be an in-house event planner overseeing the big day so you can relax and enjoy the festivities in full. They will take care of venue management, as well as changing the room layout between your ceremony and reception. Basic furniture such as tables and chairs will be supplied, setup, and cleaned-up by the team. With bar services provided by the venue, you will be given a list of trusted vendors to choose from for other aspects of the occasion.

We held our wedding at Tinker House Events, and had an absolutely amazing experience! Emma was incredibly professional, flexible, and communicative to ensure our day was everything we hoped for! The planning was detailed and extensive and all our questions we thought of Emma and Tinker House helped us. We never have planned anything as large as a Wedding and they made it as simple and easy as can be. The day of coordinating was perfect, Emma and her team minimized any anxieties we had. We will always remember this and how perfect it all was! The venue was absolutely gorgeous even with having minimal decor that we brought. The venue still looked romantic and put together and we have received so many compliments on how beautiful it looked. Thank you to Tinker House for making our day so perfect!

We held our wedding at Tinker House Events, and had an absolutely amazing experience! Emma was incredibly professional, flexible, and communicative to ensure our day was everything we hoped for! The planning was detailed and extensive and all our questions we thought of Emma and Tinker House helped us. We never have planned anything as large as a Wedding and they made it as simple and easy as can be. The day of coordinating was perfect, Emma and her team minimized any anxieties we had. We will always remember this and how perfect it all was! The venue was absolutely gorgeous even with having minimal decor that we brought. I would recommend Tinker House to anyone hosting an event, especially a wedding. We had our best day there! Emma was our day of coordinator and was absolutely fabulous! She made the process so easy, fun and as stress free as possible! She took all of my inspo and helped make it a beautiful reality. The space is lovely on its own so minimal decorations were needed. And they were very accommodating with the vendors we wanted to use.

I would recommend Tinker House to anyone hosting an event, especially a wedding. We had our best day there! Emma was our day of coordinator and was absolutely fabulous! Tinker House was the PERFECT place to host our wedding! Emma B., our venue coordinator, went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. She was incredibly organized and responded quickly to all of our questions. She is also just a joy to work with - kind, patient, and creative! The venue itself is beautiful - it truly doesn't need much to look spectacular and our photographer/videographer team had plenty of spaces to shoot inside on a very hot day. The size was perfect for our ~150 person wedding and our guests LOVED cocktail hour in Provider! Would recommend to anyone getting married in Indy!

Tinker House Events has a great aesthetic and is the perfect size for a 100-150 attendee wedding! Conveniently located near downtown but with a parking lot for all those guests afraid of city driving and parking ;) We chose Tinker in part because they have built-in projector screens and are affiliated with a great coordination business (one less vendor to find independently, for day-of coordination). Four stars seems generous otherwise, though: the venue rental fee is overpriced, and **beware**, they bait-and-switched us on the bar packages. We love craft beer, and one of the reasons that we signed with Tinker was their add-on bar option for partial kegs of draft beer. At the last venue meeting, the venue coordinator (Miranda) informed us that they no longer offer draft beer whatsoever. The saleswoman (Christine) acted like this was news to her, too, but she/Miranda could have at least communicated upfront about the change. Otherwise, Miranda was prompt in communication throughout, and Christine is very prompt during the sales period. Overall, I recommend Tinker House Events with some reservations.

Working with Tinker House was a dream! When we were first looking at venues, it was very easy to set up a time to visit the space and later, when we were trying to figure out our date, our contact, Christine, was helpful through the whole process! Just 2 weeks after our wedding and we are still getting so many compliments about the space - it is above a coffee shop that my husband and I adore, has exposed brick and the most incredible lighting. It was exactly the vibe we were looking for!

This is a one-of-a-kind venue. Its ambiance is eclectic and industrial, and allowed for us to design a beautiful wedding, while also keeping the beauty of the original building in tact. We opted to use Provider Coffee for our cocktail hour and our guests loved this added space! It was a unique opportunity for guests to continue the party in another space while the ceremony room was being turned into a beautiful reception space. Upstairs in Tinker House Events, the bridal suite is UNMATCHED. It's a gorgeous room for pictures and hanging out. The unique pieces in the space (light fixtures, artwork, and more) are so well accentuated that there is little need for decoration, although decoration just helps brighten the space. So much natural light and the use of farmhouse tables was wonderful. The bar choices were great and the staff were helpful throughout the planning process. This venue is a hidden gem that shouldn't be overlooked for a wedding or event!

We had our wedding here and it was wonderful! Everything went smoothly on the day and I felt taken care of by the staff. We did the ceremony upstairs in Tinker, then had a cocktail hour downstairs in Provider, they flipped the room for dinner and we came back up for the rest of the night. We had the best reception at this beautiful location! The exposed brick, wood accents and unique lighting were swoon-worthy. The bar is large, so no concerns about long lines forming. The bridal suite was perfect for pictures with the velvet couch and fun bulbs. There was also another area of seating that served as a backdrop for polaroids by our guests! Couldn't be happier with our experience at Tinker House, including the coordinator!

Tinker House was an absolute dream wedding venue for us! When we were looking at venues, we wanted somewhere that was a little industrial but also felt cozy. We opted to have both the downstairs for our cocktail hour and upstairs for our ceremony so that the venue and our cater could flip the room for the reception. The first floor (by day, Provider Coffee Shop) was an incredible spot for the cocktail hour which included the patio space outside. We used Christine Kingery Events (Christine, Robin, and Michaela were a dream to work with!) and the team made our vision come to life with absolutely no hiccups.Every inch of space within Tinker House is meticulously thought through and there are multiple areas for photo ops. They were so easy to work with and even helped us to pick a spot to hang a neon sign we were using for a backdrop rather than having to rent a backdrop to hang it from. Additionally, when we wanted to do a signature drink that wasn't a part of our bar package they had great options for adding it on that didn't break our budget. The venue is an incredible value compared to other venues downtown. Our guests would not stop raving about how beautifully decorated and cool space was. They have multiple ceremony/reception backdrops on site you can add to your package for a minimal fee and really makes the space feel special. There is a ton of parking and a balcony that looks towards the downtown skyline! For your downtown, cool, hip, beautiful venue needs, put this venue on your list!

I mean the space speaks for itself. Its beautiful and different from anywhere else around. You can have your ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour there comfortably, the location is convenient, and parking is free and ubers are cheap to downtown Indy. But what makes this place amazing is the people who run it! I was supposed to get married in May, but due to COVID postponed to August. They were so accommodating, were incredibly flexible working with me on setting a new date, and were super responsive and kind during such a crazy time. After hearing horror stories from other brides about venues upcharging them or not giving deposits back after postponing due to COVID, I was so happy I made the decision to book Tinker. I can't recommend them enough!

I mean the space speaks for itself. Its beautiful and different from anywhere else around. You can have your ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour there comfortably, the location is convenient, and parking is free and ubers are cheap to downtown Indy. But what makes this place amazing is the people who run it! I was supposed to get married in May, but due to COVID postponed to August. They were so accommodating, were incredibly flexible working with me on setting a new date, and were super responsive and kind during such a crazy time. After hearing horror stories from other brides about venues upcharging them or not giving deposits back after postponing due to COVID, I was so happy I made the decision to book Tinker. I can't recommend them enough!

Wedding Date 08-06-2019
The minute my husband (then fiancé) stepped into Tinker, we knew it was the perfect place for our reception - in fact this is the only place we looked at. We initially met with Mo, who gave us a tour of the beautiful building. The event space is gorgeous. The bar, light fixtures, bridal room, the natural light from the windows, the exposed brick and amazing view of the city from the balcony makes not only a great atmosphere to celebrate in, but also a great atmosphere to have photos taken. The added bonus to this space is the trendy, sweet, and fun coffee shop (Provider) on the first level. We rented that space out for our cocktail hour and it was perfect. Our guests loved having the outdoor patio space. Nevertheless, the team behind the scenes is what makes this place so special. We worked with several different people throughout our planning and every person was extremely responsive to questions we had and were always willing to meet in person. Our day-of-coordinator, Robin, had everything set-up just as we imagined, kept our timeline on schedule, and made day easy for us. Overall, the night was flawless. Having Tinker as our reception venue was one of the best and easiest decisions we made and we cannot give a higher recommendation!
