At Trinity River Audubon Center, award-winning architecture, magnificent wildflower prairies, and serene forest and wetland areas combine to create a peaceful and picturesque wedding setting as unique and splendid as your love story. Trinity River Audubon Center boasts a large, state-of-the-art event center, four miles of ADA-accessible hiking trails, and several beautiful indoor and outdoor event spaces. Our wedding day at Trinity River Audubon Center was PERFECT! Madison, day of coordinator from Boxwood Hospitality, was MAGICAL. She went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day and vision was exactly what we wanted. Our food was so delicious that our guests still rave about it! Overall the entire experience from start to finish was very stress-free. I STRONGLY recommend anyone to have their wedding at one of the Boxwood hospitality locations!

Boxwood carried off the wedding of our dreams! TRAC made for an exquisite setting for the event, the food was absolutely unbeatable (literally the top tier was worth every single penny), their attention to even the tiniest of details and the management of the night were beyond our expectations! Could not recommend working with them more and if I could give more than 5* I would!

Boxwood carried off the wedding of our dreams! TRAC made for an exquisite setting for the event, the food was absolutely unbeatable (literally the top tier was worth every single penny), their attention to even the tiniest of details and the management of the night were beyond our expectations! The Trinity River Audubon Center was my absolute dream venue, I knew it the second I came across a tiktok of a wedding there last year! From the time we toured the TRAC with Boxwood Hospitality to post-wedding we have had a beyond excellent experience with the entire team. Our wedding coordinator Madison came extremely prepared with details and logistics and suggestions/offerings that we didn’t even think to ask about at each check in/planning meeting, and we had zero issues to speak of on our big day which was hugely in thanks to Madison’s preparation and calming presence. Boxwood Hospitality includes not only catering by the amazing chef Justo (which was another really stand out aspect of wedding planning, working directly with the chef!) but also your security, insurance, linens, tables/chairs, all bar and dinner service and staff, and glassware and mixers which meant we paid a lump sum and had every tiny (stressful and maybe annoying lol) detail of our wedding covered as soon as we booked. The list of details goes on. Madison went over our wedding timeline and each vendor and possible aspect of the event at each meeting and made sure to check in on how the wedding vision was coming along, in addition to offering us family style dinner service rather than traditional buffet serving for our Italian meal - it was an unexpected awesome detail that set our wedding apart! Our coordinator Madison also worked closely with all our vendors and kept everything and everyone in check during our wedding, we even had a sweet note and food and waters in a getaway bag when we left for our hotel! The team at Boxwood Hospitality thinks of everything, the biggest benefit of working with them was not only was this my dream venue and a delicious menu, but I felt calmer and more on top of planning with each interaction with our coordinator or with their chef, chef Justo, and knew the team had our backs on this important day. Can’t say enough positive things about Boxwood! Run don’t walk to work with them, seriously excellence is their every day norm. Request Madison as your coordinator as well! (Though we have worked with multiple individuals on the planning/coordinating team through this past year and have always felt we were in great hands! You really can’t go wrong.)

The venue and Boxwood Catering are outstanding! From the beginning, the process was easy, fun and our coordinator Madison was delightful. The tasting dinner was amazing (to help solidify our choices) and all guests raved about the food. Special meals were an added bonus and one guest practically cried when she received her Vegan Dinner. Family style is an excellent alternative to a buffet! We are so glad we chose the Trinity River Audubon Center for our wedding venue. The architecture/structure of the building is impressive with the nature that surrounds it. We also love that it focuses on environmentalism and sustainability. We had an amazing experience with Boxwood. The Supper Series that is put on for clients to try the meals is fantastic. Every staff member from Justo Blanco, the chef, to Kristi Snow, the bar manager, and to the wait staff were highly professional, highly competent, and offered us amazing service. We must reiterate how impressive Justo is! Our venue coordinator Madison was friendly, communicative and courteous. The food was phenomenal and service was stellar. Our guests could not stop complimenting how delicious the food was from the appetizers, the dinner and the late night snack of chicken biscuits. Our one regret is that we did not have to-go boxes! Ugh! Remember that!

I genuinely don't even know where to begin. We fell in love with TRAC at first sight over a year ago, and knew right away that it was where we wanted to get married. But what we didn't know was how incredible the experience of working with the Boxwood Hospitality team would be. From day one, the Boxwood team made us feel seen and taken care of, helping us execute on our vision, dreaming along with us, and allowing us to be creative with all of the beautiful spaces at the venue. There's so much we want to highlight, but we'll start with food. Our tasting with Chef Justo and the team set the tone for what we should have known would have been one of the biggest hits of the whole wedding. Everything was thoughtful, considered, and delicious, and Chef Justo was so kind and collaborative. Cut to the wedding weekend itself: literally everyone we've talked to can't stop raving about the quality of the food and the service from the Boxwood team. I've genuinely never been to a wedding where people noticed or cared about the food or the service before, but our guests are STILL raving about it. Everything was hot, delicious, and served beautifully. And for our guests with food allergies, the Boxwood team took extra special care to accommodate them (and they allowed us to bring in Kosher food for two guests who needed it - thank you for that!).The venue, of course, speaks for itself, and so many of our guests - including the folks local to Dallas - were in awe of the natural beauty as well as the look and feel of the modern building. The Boxwood team worked with us to use all of the spaces at the venue, including our ceremony under the breezeway, cocktails on the Scissortail Deck, and even an immensely popular caviar and vodka station out on one of the boardwalks! People loved getting to experience the entirety of the property during the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and then the reveal inside the great hall of TRAC was even more special. We have to thank the entire Boxwood team for the incredible service, the effort to get our space set up quickly and perfectly, and the kindness from start to finish. But we would be remiss not to specifically highlight Maggie, who not only was our creative partner, collaborator, and lead contact from Boxwood for our wedding, but who became a true friend. I can't tell you the number of times I called Maggie stressing out about one thing or another, and she immediately put us at ease. She spent so much time working with us, our planner, and all of our vendors, to ensure that everything was smooth and exactly how we planned it. All night during the wedding, she checked on us, our parents, ensuring we had drinks, knew where we were supposed to be, and were happy. There were so many moving parts to our wedding, but with Maggie at the helm coordinating on our behalf, we felt at ease - and in the midst of the chaos of a wedding weekend, you just can't put a number on that.THANK YOU Boxwood Hospitality for making our dreams come true. We could not be more pleased with the Boxwood Team! It was truly the best day of our lives at our wedding. Trying to plan a big gay wedding in the current Texas climate was a daunting and scary task, but we were put at ease (multiple times) by one of the best event managers in this business, Mrs. Rachel Jones. From the very first interaction with Rachel, I knew we were going to make a great team. She handled every single question we had for her with ease and just overall made this process so much easier. She is a compassionate, driven, achiever that puts the client first and always ensured we had everything we ever dreamed of. She is the prime example of leadership and hospitality. Every service that came with Boxwood was on point. From the bottle of champs given at our first planning meeting, to the Newley Wed present that arrived at our door. Everything just seems authentic, which is sometimes a rare attribute in Dallas, TX. The food was superb, the drinks were perfect, the staff were kind. 3 weeks post wedding and we still have people raving about how amazing the event was. We have no complaints at all and would definitely recommend Boxwood.This company is exceptionally lucky to have someone represent them the way that Rachel does. Having someone that not only speaks the language, but also understands the struggles that of a more diverse/ non traditional client is invaluable. Boxwood Hospitality had such an amazing food selection!I've had numerous compliments from guests how delicious all the food was! Steak was so tender and juicy and usually not all catering steaks can be at the level. Overall food quality is A+++.Also I love how they assign an event manager and setup multiple meetings in person at the venue! It really helped me to visualize the layout.

My husband and I got married at the TRAC in mid-April and had a great experience with Boxwood Hospitality and Rachel Jones as our wedding coordinator! We live out of state and Rachel was a tremendous asset in planning everything in advance, and also during our wedding. The day of our wedding, everything went smoothly and we could enjoy the evening fully.The catering was great and we got a lot of positive feedback from friends and family on the food from Boxwood. It was very convenient that everything was handled in-house. Other recommendations for vendors etc. that we got from Rachel were all good and we were happy with everyone we worked with. The TRAC is a beautiful space - we loved having our ceremony outside surrounded by greenery on the Scissortail deck and then the reception in the beautiful indoor space with great views of the property. The layout for our reception was perfect - our wedding of around 100 people felt connected to each other in the same space without feeling crowded. We would highly recommend Boxwood and the TRAC!

The Trinity River Audubon Center, Boxwood and Rachel Jones (day of coordinator) were a huge part of our wedding day and we couldn’t have picked a better location/hospitality group for the big day. The venue, TRAC, was a beautiful place to celebrate with our friends and family. We had about 90 guests, including children, who were able to walk the nature trails, view the exhibits inside the venue (which includes turtles!) and enjoy the outdoors leading up to and after the ceremony. I can’t stress enough how much we loved the venue. I personally felt we didn’t need a lot of floral or lights or “fluff” because the space and outside was elegant enough. Boxwood was easy to work with. They take care of the catering and were in constant communication with us throughout the planning process. We enjoyed the event they host where you can try the food options you choose for the wedding. The food was tasty and they have a variety of options couples can pick from. In addition to taking care of the catering (so nice to deal with one less thing), couples are assigned a day of coordinator about 4 months out from the wedding date. We worked with Rachel Jones who was fabulous and helped us with all our questions or concerns. Having recently attended my sisters wedding where they did not have a coordinator, I was extremely thankful we had Rachel. Even more so since we live out of state. She helped us finalize our ceremony and reception details. I had given my fiancé two vendors to sort out- he sat on those tasks for weeks. During our first meeting with Rachel, she recommended vendors for each of the two categories he was looking for and within the week, they were booked. And we loved the recommendations she gave/we went with! On the day of our wedding, she made sure all of our vendors were on the same page and following the same schedule. As a bride, I did not have the mental capacity for a lot the day of but Rachel was on top of everything! I highly recommend the TRAC and Rachel if you are looking for a wedding space in the DFW area!

The Trinity River Audubon Center, Boxwood and Rachel Jones (day of coordinator) were a huge part of our wedding day and we couldn’t have picked a better location/hospitality group for the big day. The venue, TRAC, was a beautiful place to celebrate with our friends and family. We had about 90 guests, including children, who were able to walk the nature trails, view the exhibits inside the venue (which includes turtles!) and enjoy the outdoors leading up to and after the ceremony. I can’t stress enough how much we loved the venue. I personally felt we didn’t need a lot of floral or lights or “fluff” because the space and outside was elegant enough. Boxwood was easy to work with. They take care of the catering and were in constant communication with us throughout the planning process. We enjoyed the event they host where you can try the food options you choose for the wedding. The food was tasty and they have a variety of options couples can pick from. In addition to taking care of the catering (so nice to deal with one less thing), couples are assigned a day of coordinator about 4 months out from the wedding date. We worked with Rachel Jones who was fabulous and helped us with all our questions or concerns. Having recently attended my sisters wedding where they did not have a coordinator, I was extremely thankful we had Rachel. Even more so since we live out of state. She helped us finalize our ceremony and reception details. I had given my fiancé two vendors to sort out- he sat on those tasks for weeks. During our first meeting with Rachel, she recommended vendors for each of the two categories he was looking for and within the week, they were booked. And we loved the recommendations she gave/we went with! On the day of our wedding, she made sure all of our vendors were on the same page and following the same schedule. As a bride, I did not have the mental capacity for a lot the day of but Rachel was on top of everything! I highly recommend the TRAC and Rachel if you are looking for a wedding space in the DFW area!

We had such an incredible experience working with TRAC and Boxwood. So many guests commented on the gorgeous venue, and the architecture and nature made for the most spectacular backdrop for the day! Our dream was to get married outside, but with unpredictable Texas weather, we were nervous. Their Scissor tail deck is stunning AND covered in case of any rainy weather. We lucked out with perfect weather, but it certainly gave us some peace of mind.Rachel was our coordinator and was the true MVP! She made everything run smoothly and kept our rowdy wedding party in line. She was detail-oriented, helpful at every stage, and also a lot of fun. We were able to relax and just enjoy our wedding day thanks to her hard work! She truly was such a pleasure to work with, and we cannot say enough!!!Chef Justo went above and beyond for us. My husband and I are both Chinese and were hoping for an Asian-inspired wedding meal. He not only created us a personalized menu, but Chef Justo also did his homework to make sure it would be everything we were hoping for (from eating at Din Tai Fung to looking through recipes we sent his way). And the food was IT! So many guests commented that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had (and we have some foodie friends). I cannot recommend this venue highly enough!!!!

This venue and team was an absolute dream. The space itself was gorgeous - it did not take a lot of decor to create the setting I imagined! The catering team was exceptional and they work with you to either create your custom menu or choose from menus they already have. The professionalism of the catering team and bar tenders and coordinators really stood out. As the bride, it was so nice to sit back and relax and finally enjoy the day after so much planning and it was the Boxwood team who made this possible. This was such a convenient place for local guests and also a quick trip from downtown hotels for out of town guests. I will be recommending this venue to future brides!

The Trinity River Audubon Center was an absolute dream venue for us. The setting is lovely and the building itself is phenomenal. Our guests were blown away and it will be a fantastic backdrop for our memories. Beyond the venue itself, it was a joy to work with Boxwood Hospitality. Their staff was responsive throughout the planning process, especially our coordinator Madison. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations- I think it is probably a big challenge to make food for 140 people memorable but ours truly was. They were flexible and accommodating when we needed to reorient from an outdoor to indoor ceremony based on weather. All this added up to a stress free wedding day, for which we are very grateful.

When we originally looked at venues, TRAC stood out above all others not only for the unique and private nature of the venue but because of the Boxwood Hospitality team. Maggie assisted throughout the entire process and is the most amazing and genuine person. We were able to bring our vision to life in an even more amazing way than I had hoped for. We received several comments from guests that it was the best wedding they had EVER been to with the stunning venue being mentioned every time. If you’re considering having your wedding here I would 1000% recommend. Not only is it beautiful in every way but the Boxwood team (from Maggie to the chefs to the bartenders) were all outstanding and went above and beyond to be sure everything was customized, personal and just outright perfect for us.
