Triple S Ranch Napa is a historic wedding venue located in Calistoga, CA. Offering a serene, secluded setting, this charming venue is ideally suited to couples in search of a venue they can make their own. With 20 acres of farmland, along with a Victorian farmhouse and a wealth of modern amenities, this venue is here to host your long-awaited event.
Triple S Ranch presents a spacious wedding venue with plenty of potential for customization. The Victorian Farmhouse is an ideal setting for you and your wedding party to relax and prepare for the big event. For your ceremony, you and your partner can tie the knot under a magical 175-year-old walnut tree. Chairs and decor can be provided, letting you relax and savor the moment. For your reception, you and your guests can make the most of the Vintners Hall and Antique Barn. With 2,500 square feet of space, it offers a versatile setting that you can make your own. Outside, a range of patios, decks, and lawns are all available for use, letting you choose the space that best suits your celebration. Along with the Victorian Farmhouse, this ranch also has a number of cottages and houses for lodging. Overall, this venue can sleep up to 60 guests, with more space for glamping and camping if required. As an added touch, this venue also offers a pool, hot tub, gym, pizza oven, and barbecue pit.
The owners of the Triple S Ranch work with each couple to create a tailored service for their special day. They want you to be able to relax and enjoy every moment of your occasion in this open, inviting space. Outside vendors and caterers are welcome, allowing you to add a more personal touch to your event.
We chose SSS having never visited, based on pictures and reviews. After our first site visit, it was clear that the venue was going to exceed our expectations, and that the pictures we had viewed did not do the venue justice. Having our friends and family all together for three nights added to the overall experience, and transformed our wedding from an event into an experience. Reviewed on 05-01-2024

Triple S Ranch was the PERFECT location for our wedding - we couldn't have imagined a more beautiful site and surroundings! The fact that ~50 of our guests could stay on site for the weekend was a tremendous plus - when we arrived on Friday it meant that we could settle in for the weekend and just relax. Downtown Calistoga with plenty of boutique accommodation options is also very close by for the rest of your guests.Given you're renting it for the weekend it gives you a perfect canvas to plan celebrations the way you want them, from a Friday welcome party through to the big wedding day. The walnut tree is a magical place to tie the knot, all of the cabins are beautifully furnished, and the barns for dancing are just incredible. The whole site is so photogenic!Note that they do require you to use approved vendors, and the site is more complex than other venues given all the aspects, so be sure to work with a wedding coordinator and other key vendors (e.g., catering, DJ/music) who are very familiar with Triple S so they can help execute the perfect weekend for you! Gina Butler(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-06-2022 We had the most amazing weekend at Triple S Ranch for our wedding. We chose the property because we wanted to have a place to gather for the full weekend that ideally also had an after-hours option. We couldn't have been happier with the venue and our guests had an amazing time! They do require that you use pre-approved vendors for Friday and Saturday (this might be because we used an event management company to book it) so I would clarify that in the beginning of signing your contract. Steven LaRue(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-08-2022 Thanks to Aubrey, Christine, Derek, and the rest of the Triple S team for providing the space and amenities to host our own unique event. My wife and I were married here in August, and chose to add an extra day to our package, which was the right move considering our travels along with many of our guests from different parts of the country. Triple S allowed us the opportunity to create a 4-day escape tailored to our liking. You’ll need to hire a good planner, which we did (shoutout to Christa and Lauren at Sydney Camille Events), but with the chance to make something special, we feel Triple S exceeded expectations. The grounds are kept up well for such a large space, while still providing an intimate feel. I don’t really care if 1,000 couples are married under that black walnut tree, when you’re there, it’s yours. And our guests appreciated the seclusion and privacy of the cabins over the hallways of a noisy hotel room. Take a look at this venue and you won’t be disappointed. Reviewed on 25-08-2022
Kylie Flynn(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-06-2022 Triple S Ranch was the perfect venue for our four-day wedding event. It allowed us to provide accommodations for all of our out of town guests. We were pleasantly surprised that it was more affordable than all of the other venues that include accommodations. Our guests were blown away by the beautiful setting--it really allowed for people to relax and get to know one another. We were also extremely pleased with how immaculate all of the cabins and homes were. This was quite a feat given that our event started on a Monday and the previous wedding party checked out the day before. We highly recommend Triple S Ranch. Reviewed on 27-07-2022
Gretchen Davidson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-06-2022 Triple S Ranch was an exceptional venue for our wedding. We loved the rustic yet lovely vibe of the property and there were so many nooks and crannies of history and coolness. We rented the entire property for two nights so we were able to have a big welcome barbecue and then a breakfast by the pool and then of course our fabulous wedding underneath the gorgeous tree….followed by dinner and dancing in the barn. It’s a place that needs a minimal dressing up as the natural beauty is absolutely fabulous. Every single one of our friends said they had never been to such a beautiful wedding! Highly recommended! Daryn Kelley(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-12-2021 We got married at Triple S in December 2021 and it was absolutely magical. The entire property is gorgeous and creates a one of a kind event - the ceremony site is dreamy under a magnificent walnut tree, the event barn and multiple bars are such unique reception spaces, and all guest rooms are wonderfully updated but charming. Having our family + wedding parties stay onsite for the entire weekend was wonderful and allowed us to enjoy the extended time together. The property does have a lot of details to be aware of and a few rules that are important for guests to follow, but booking the venue also requires a wedding coordinator so we didn't find managing this to be an issue. I would highly recommend Triple S for anyone that wants their wedding to the celebration of a lifetime! Reviewed on 10-03-2022
Vanessa Camozzi(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-08-2021 We got married here August 2021 and it was INCREDIBLE. We attended a wedding here in 2019, but already had a different venue booked. Due to the pandemic we had a few versions of our wedding cancelled/rescheduled. In May 21, we reached out to Derek to see if our date was available and IT WAS! We booked the whole wedding in 3 months. It turned out to be everything we wanted and more. After the crazy year, we just wanted to spend as much time with our families as possible. We had 55 people stay on the property (wedding party, parents, and cousins). We did a welcome party in the Friday night, using the pizza oven and the barn. Saturday we got ready in the Victorian while our guests made use of the pool. We used the kitchen to make breakfast and lunch for all the onsite guests - huge perk. Our wedding Saturday night started at 6 (to avoid the heat) - it was gorgeous. Our dinner at the farm tables (family style) was exactly what we had hoped for. We moved to the barn for first dance and family dances. Then we moved to the wine cellar for the last two hours. While much of the older family did not join (COVID concerns, and not their music) - this was the best way to end the party. We danced and had a great ending.Sunday morning we had a farewell brunch with some pastries from town, people stopped by to say goodbye. From not believing we would have a wedding at all to having something better than I could have dreamed of! Only things to note - they are pretty strict with vendors (have to choose of their list or let them be vetted). You have to have a wedding planner since you are having the whole property, so it is an added expense. No outside gatherings after sunset (we had to pivot our welcome party to the barn, it is in the contract but we missed it). Lots of bees due to the heat! None of these impacted the amazing weekend, just things to note.Wedding planner - we went with Off The Beaten Path (Stephanie). Best decision. She ran the whole show, the food was better than any wedding, and she was amazing to work with. Reviewed on 08-11-2021
Balaji Chandrasekhar(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-05-2021 My wife and I had an Indian Wedding at Triple S Ranch in May 2021, and the experience was absolutely fantastic! We booked the venue in 2020 right as lockdowns started, and, every step of the way Triple S was willing to work with us to adjust the scope and navigate around the restrictions in place. While their communication was slow at times, the venue was willing to postpone deadlines, adjust prices, and trust us to host a responsible event with a smaller group of guests. With multiple morning and evening events, it was important to us to have a venue that we could reserve for multiple days and that had accommodations on site or nearby. Triple S was perfect for us. It was a luxury to be able to have all 20+ acres to ourselves for the weekend (especially to spread out outside) and to be able to gift our friends and family their own private cabins for the weekend. In my opinion, I think they definitely have seen and worked through some of the past negative issues and feedback they've received. We had a full-service wedding planner that helped interface with their team as well--something I would definitely recommend. As for the venue itself--all the construction was cleaned up and the landscaping was absolutely beautiful. We had only visited the venue during the winter and the off-season, so we were very pleasantly surprised to see everything in full bloom for our special weekend.I would definitely recommend Triple S to anyone and everyone. Another plus was their willingness to work with a wide variety of vendors and BYO catering. We had an Indian caterer for the whole weekend, and they especially loved the commercial kitchen onsite. Other venues had tons of rules and red tape, that we just weren't ready to compromise for. Again, every step of the way we felt like they were flexible as we both worked through constantly changing regulations.A few minor pieces of feedback were that 1) the hottub could have been hotter, 2) some of the lofted bedrooms got quite stuffy and hot (90+ degree weekend), and 3) the golf cart broke down right after we checked in. But really, these are very minor in the grand scheme of things. Our parents, friends and family raved about the venue and were very happy, and that's all that really matters. We've already discussed renting the ranch out again for future anniversaries! Reviewed on 04-11-2021
Abby Cheitlin(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-08-2021 My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience getting married at the ranch. We initially struggled during our wedding venue hunt as we found that many places in the SF bay area and surrounding vicinity were overpriced, stuffy, and with contracts full of regulations and additional costs. It was so refreshing when we visited triple S ranch and met Derek and Christine who were so friendly and down to earth. Triple S ranch offered us a perfect canvas to design a personalized wedding while providing lodging for our close friends and family. It did not disappoint! We had the wedding of our dreams in this idyllic venue. The facilities were spectacular, the staff was professional and so friendly, the surrounding nature and beauty inspiring. It was a dream to have gotten married under their breathtaking 200 year old walnut tree. It was incredibly convenient to have most guests on site and definitely optimized the amount of fun we had during the wedding weekend. The hot tub was a hit with all guests. The barn was a perfect venue for an epic dance party and we were huge fans of the option to extend our dance party up until midnight in the underground speakeasy (an option not available in most wedding venues in the area). We would not change a thing and feel so lucky we were able to celebrate the most memorable weekend of our lives in such a perfect location. Cant wait to go back to celebrate our anniversaries! Nish Nadaraja(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2020 In my opinion, the owners of Triple S Ranch have been the worst to work with and have shown no sense of humanity towards our family. On Yelp, SSS is listed as closed until January 2021 and our wedding is supposed to be October 10, 2020, that should say something. They never returned a signed contract and our lawyer has asked for them to return it but they have yet to respond, even after multiple requests. They also are trying to get us to pay an additional $20000 (in addition to the $20000 deposit they have already) to reserve a future date, but not during peak times of course. We tried numerous times to find a compromise but we feel like they don't care. On a positive note, we got married online and all our other vendors and venues have worked with us to make this a positive experience, despite Covid and fires! Reviewed on 02-10-2020
Jane Kwett(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2020 As a bride coping with all of the misfortune of this year, I wanted to share my awful experience with this venue. When planning our wedding we, like so many, had no idea that a global pandemic was on the horizon. My partner and I were planning for an October 2020 wedding for 150 guests and faced with concern over violating county guidelines and risking the health of our family and guests, we requested options for postponement or cancellation from Derek and Christine at Triple S Ranch in May 2020. In response, they offered to postpone our wedding to an off-season mid-week 3-day period. Additionally, Christine wrote that we would need to pay another $20,000 immediately in order to hold the date. Facing growing financial worries as COVID-19 government orders kept business closed, we asked about cancellation and return of our deposit. Derek told us again that our $20,000 deposit is non-refundable without exception for a global pandemic. In the end, like so many families we lost both our money and our faith in human decency this year. In my opinion, this experience with Triple S Ranch and Derek has been regrettable. I cannot recommend this business or offer any positive remarks to the Knot community about working with this vendor. Reviewed on 19-09-2020

Kris Tatarian(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-06-2015 We were so fortunate to find SSS Ranch for our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding. Their priority was to have a celebration in a setting where their guests would be comfortable and surrounded by beauty, and the Ranch delivered that and more! The property is a gorgeous natural setting with rolling hills, trees and spectacular natural light, and the buildings, all of which were available for the wedding weekend, have been renovated beautifully. For our daughter, this allowed an lovely yet comfortable weekend of wedding festivities with family and friends but, we could clearly see how this property could host the most lavish of weddings as well. The owner has done an amazing job of renovating all the buildings, from the Victorian house, to the barn and wine bar, and all the varied “cabins” into a first class event venue. It’s a labor of love which the owner continues to find new ways to enhance. We have enjoyed following the changes since D&J’s wedding and recently had the opportunity to visit for a volunteer fire company fundraiser. We’re impressed at how the venue continues to grow both in beauty and amenities. This is a venue where you bring in what is important to you, from the vendors on down, and we highly recommend for anyone wanting to create a completely personalized celebration weekend in a stunning setting! Ruth B(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-06-2019 The venue - lovely! The owner/management - horrific! We feel we were misled about pricing and treated poorly by the owner and manager. They did not get the updated dining layout to us until days before our wedding, meaning we had to do seating at the 11th hour. They did construction without notifying us and that was only finished hours before we arrived (thankfully we'd been up the weekend before and noticed that there was a construction zone in the middle of our wedding venue and followed up with our wonderful wedding planner who pushed them to complete the work and clean up; though just in the nick of time, and without the deck which the unit was supposed to have!) They went back on their word, both verbal and written, about many things from pricing, to number of chairs they had, to additional beds/pricing; then they said it was us 'asking for more' when we were just going with exactly what had been told to us. They seemed to make up the 'rules' as we asked questions. When you meet with someone in 2018 about a wedding to take place in 2019 - you give them the 2019 pricing, or honor the rates you told them...all the way through (as our food vendor did). Unfortunately they chose not to do so, making for a stressful, frustrating time with them, and which cast a pall over our wedding weekend. It was also creepy when we did a walk-through of the property late on Friday night to say good-night to friends, and found the neighbor walking around, and heading towards the unlocked building that stored all of our booze, etc. (and who said it was \"ok b/c his dad used to own the property\"). Our wedding was an amazing experience; but we would not recommend any other couple put themselves through what we went through with Derek and his team. Reviewed on 02-12-2019

Derek was very accommodating and responsive with all our questions. We had an AMAZING team from our wedding planner, Courtney, to our food vendors, cake, flowers, etc. Everything went perfectly! We had a small scare of PGE shutting power off due to fires last year, and Derek and his team were on top of renting generators to make sure all would still go on as planned! Katie Kridel(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-06-2019 The venue is pretty, but ultimately not worth the hassle. Our vendors were all amazing (contracted independently of the Property) but the ownership’s issues with not delivering on their contract was disappointing, stressful and could have been avoided if they held their clients / customers interests as a higher priority. We had an amazing wedding, but it was because of our guests and vendors, not because of the ownership or the actual property. I wish someone had shared this with me as we were making out decisions...To clarify, there was nothing unique about any request. We only asked that Derek Webb deliver what he agreed to in the contract — he decided to tear down one of the cabins after we sent him the full payment. When we inquired about it, he said not to worry, that it would be reconstructed before our wedding. It wasn’t and he called a week before our wedding to inform us that some of our guests couldn’t be accommodated. While he did offer to put them up in town, the whole issue was completely within his control and was avoidable. It was still a construction site when we showed up. Someone actually tripped over a pile of dirt during the weekend b/c it was still not finished. Reviewed on 28-07-2019
