Josie, Tanya, and the Trout Lake team were fantastic in helping us prepare and execute our big day. We were planning our wedding from across the country, and Trout lake was very accommodating planning activities on the few occasions we were able to visit in person. They were extremely communicative during planning, and setting up deadlines for when to decide aspects of the wedding event. They were very transparent with our contract, no surprises. Trout lake had worked with many of our local vendors before, which allowed operations to run smoothly on our bid day. The staff were all energetic and excited to join our experience. Our wedding party and guests commented on how kind servers, bartenders, and attendees were. Of note, we loved seeing the bartenders enjoy our band as much as we did. Service was spectacular and as expected when we discussed how cocktail hour would be done, how food would be served to individual tables, and the timeline for completing key moments like cake cutting, dessert/coffee table, etc. You will be happy with the people you work with at Trout Lake. Regarding the property itself, the venue was absolutely stunning. They have clearly been investing back into the property/facilities because there were several new amenities available at our wedding that were not there when we booked and all were gorgeous! There were scattered rain storms on our wedding day and the venue was completely prepared for shifting to new locations if needed. The rainy day option, weād like to add, is just as beautiful as the ideal lakefront ceremony locations. This is unique, as many other local venues pivot to less ideal indoor rainy day plans. The reception space is large and accommodated our 7-piece band, a large dance floor, and seating for 115 guests. Trout Lake is ultimately a beautiful, private, and wonderfully maintained property for a wedding. We are so happy we got married at Trout Lake, and that it was the location for some of our most precious memories. 100% would recommend.

We recently got married at Trout Lake on 12/9/2023 and the team there helped make our Christmas wedding magical and everything we ever dreamed of! Tanya and everyone on the staff were excellent with communication, answering any questions quickly and with great detail. Their space is a gated property so you do have to make appointments or schedule any time you or any of your vendors want to spend on the property. They were very transparent with us up front and let us know that we would have to take down all of our decorations ourselves that night or we were given the option to pay to have them take it down and store in boxes overnight. We ended up paying for them to take down and store overnight and it was so worth it! All of our guests said how awesome the food was and many people raved about the cupcakes, they all thought we mustāve had a bakery or other vendor supply the cupcakes because they were that good! Seriously, I hope whoever makes the cupcakes and dessert at Trout Lake has a bakery they own on the side because they are so talented. Our day went so smooth from the arrival of our vendors, groomsmen and bridal parties, to the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception! There was a small issue with communication where we were told on several occasions that the cocktail would last from 4:30 PM until 6:00 PM and then were told at 5:25 PM that the cocktail hour was ending in 5 minutes. The staff were quick to apologize and help make sure the transition to the reception went smoothly for our guests and everyone in the wedding party! There are multiple ceremony locations to choose from at the venue, all of which are stunning! We were able to still do our ceremony outside (in December!) at the newly constructed covered pavilion. There were ample heaters and an active fireplace that kept us and our guests all warm during the ceremony and made for beautiful pictures! There is also a Lakehouse available for rent for the wedding party the night of the rehearsal dinner and the night of the wedding (2 night minimum) which we highly recommend as it made travel to the venue the day of, after hair and make up, very easy! Overall this location is gorgeous and I would recommend it to anyone looking to find a secluded location to get married with great food and amazing views!

The trout lake team was absolutely phenomenal! If you are looking for your perfect wedding venue, I would look no further. From start to finish, the team was excellent with communication. The venue itself speaks enough. It is absolutely beautiful! We receive so many compliments from the food to the venue to how great the staff was. from a bright standpoint, My maĆ®tre dā Brianna made the day go absolutely perfect whatever I needed she was always there and made the day run so smoothly. We are so happy we choose trout lake to be our wedding venue.

We had our wedding at Trout Lake this past Saturday, 10/14/23. It poured all day long but Trout Lake ensured our guests were safe and warm! We moved our ceremony underneath their beautiful pavilion that had heaters and hot cider. Our day was amazing and our guests were raving about the venue itself, the delicious food, and the professionalism of the staff. I canāt recommend Trout Lake enough!

I could not recommend this venue more. Trout lake truly seemed like the most magical place on earth on our wedding day (sorry Disney). Besides the venue being so gorgeous, the staff are so unbelievably friendly and helpful that it made our decision that much easier. Let me begin by saying we had booked in February 2020, and got married October 8th, 2022. Through the 2 year period that we were booked, Trout Lake had some staffing changes alongside of some additions at the venue. However I applaud the team at Trout Lake because throughout the entire process they remained consistent with communication, clear about any and all things needed, and overall with our questions they were answered promptly. The venue itself is gorgeous. There are SO many photographic locations throughout the property and the inside is equally as beautiful. Perfect ceremony, reception and cocktail areas. We also had rented the Lake House down the road for getting ready and it has a perfect lake view, rustic chic decor, and was the best photographic bridal getting ready suite I could have imagined. We were lucky with a sunny fall day for our wedding but I honestly donāt think there could be a bad day at Trout Lake. Our guests throughout the entire night just kept coming up and saying how beautiful it is and how much they enjoyed the food. Not a single person had anything negative to say about the food and drinks (and you know thatās a big thing at weddings is the food). Everything was just so flawless, I canāt say that enough.A special shout-out is owed to Kelley and Josie. Kelley and Josie throughout our day not only kept us on time, but they made sure everything (and I mean literally everything) went off without any issues. Kelley made sure we had food from cocktail hour/reception and we never had to even go to the bar for a drink. Kelley even had a drink waiting post ceremony for us. Josie made sure our ceremony and sparkler send off happened how I envisioned it. We never had to worry about a single thing with these two the entire night. They both were SO beyond attentive. Iām so glad these two were the coordinators for our day because I am just utterly grateful for how professional, kind, and just amazing they were throughout our day. Our guests were SO impressed with the staff at Trout Lake.Months later and people are still raving about our wedding. That should tell you something about Trout Lake. Anyone who I speak to Iāll always highly recommend the venue. Everything was beyond perfect. Trout Lake will forever hold a piece of our hearts. Two less trout in the lake!

We cannot say enough great things about this venue and the people we worked with! We had a long engagement so we did go through a few coordinators during that time but each one was great- especially the ones that were there on THE day: Kelley, Tanya, and their Team! It was so convenient having Trout Lake provide just about everything right there on premise. Not only were they able to coordinate it all, but it was top tier! Our guests could not stop raving about the beauty, the food, and the service. There were even some things that we didnāt have to plan for (and didnāt even really know about) that were so impressive to us and our guests: the butlered drinks and the beer tubs at the end of the bar. There was NEVER a line at the bar! We also rented the Lake House which actually was used for the grooms immediate family (complete with 6 young nieces and nephews!) and highly recommend it! The house and location is beautiful and itās right down the road for easy access to the venue. Another recommendation would be to do an after party at the boathouse! The reception was incredible but we werenāt ready to stop. Whoever wanted to stay longer headed over to the boat house for some more drinks and socializing. We turned it into our own karaoke night (groomsman brought a speaker and mic) and made even more lifetime memories! We could not have asked for a better wedding day and it all started with Trout Lake!

My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better venue. We got married on October 7th, 2022. It was such a perfect day and it was all thanks to the staff in Trout Lake. We have received so many lovely compliments about our wedding venue and got asked a lot how on earth we came across this gem being we are from NJ. I wanted a Fall wedding so the location itself was beautiful, all the breathtaking views with all the fall colors and their staff was AMAZING. I have nothing but nice things to say about everyone there. They were all so kind, welcoming and loved seeing them enjoy themselves too! Tanya was so wonderful and helpful through out the process. Every question we had was always answered at a timely matter. She was unable to work the day of our wedding but left us in great hands with their team. Josie and Kelley took over and I wouldn't have stayed calm without her and her team. I was able to enjoy every moment as well as my husband. We were catered to every need and always had someone checking in on us so make sure we were okay. We were even treated to our signature drinks right outside the pavilion where we had our ceremony which btw...WOW! So beautiful!!!The food was amazing! Again, so many compliments from our guests. I love that we were able to add an ice-cream along with out desserts. Everything was set up just the way I wanted and it all looked so beautiful. This venue was just perfection and it was everything we wanted and more. It had that beautiful rustic touch and the additions that they added were absolutely gorgeous. We highly recommend this venue! This was the most wonderful experience. I really had an awesome time planning and I felt they did everything to make my wedding a success. The staff is so kind and so helpful. The wedding coordinators really made sure to get every detail. The venue itself is so beautiful on its own and it looked so beautiful with our own personal touch. I recommend this venue if you love the outdoorsy rustic vibes!!! Felt like a small slice of heaven :-)

This was the most wonderful experience. I really had an awesome time planning and I felt they did everything to make my wedding a success. The staff is so kind and so helpful. The wedding coordinators really made sure to get every detail. The venue itself is so beautiful on its own and it looked so beautiful with our own personal touch. My husband, family, friends and I all had a wonderful time!!!!! The experience was a 10 out of 10 and if I could, I would do it all over again. Everything went smoothly and pretty much at a great time. The team at Trout lake were great, friendly, and really help made our day perfect. Whether you pick the outside in the two different locations to get married by the lake or even go into the woods under the beautiful covered area... Will make the ceremony look absolutely spectacular. The food all round from the cocktail hour to the dinner to the desserts were AMAZING! I have guests asking me where I have gotten the food and desserts catered from, so they can order food to have on their own time. The ciders, beers, and wines were all amazing too. I know it was our choices, but still it was super tasty. We had a perfect day and I am so happy that we did the first look before everything and took all of our photos with our bridal party and family all after that. It helped safe so much time during the cocktail our and reception to party! My husband, family, friends and I all had a wonderful time!!!!! The experience was a 10 out of 10 and if I could, I would do it all over again. Everything went smoothly and pretty much at a great time. The team at Trout lake were great, friendly, and really help made our day perfect. Whether you pick the outside in the two different locations to get married by the lake or even go into the woods under the beautiful covered area... Will make the ceremony look absolutely spectacular. The food all round from the cocktail hour to the dinner to the desserts were AMAZING! Let me begin by saying we had booked in February 2020, and got married October 8th, 2022. Throughout the 2 year period that we were booked Trout Lake had some staffing changes alongside of some additions at the venue, however I applaud the team at Trout Lake because throughout the entire process they remained consistent with communication, clear about any and all things needed, and overall when we had any questions they were answered promptly. Overall the venue itself is gorgeous. There are so many photographic locations throughout the property and the inside is equally as beautiful. Perfect ceremony, reception and cocktail areas. We also had rented the Lake House down the road for getting ready and it has a perfect lake view, rustic chic decor, and was the best photographic bridal getting ready suite I could have imagined. We were lucky with a sunny fall day for our wedding but I honestly donāt think there could be a bad day at Trout Lake. Our guests throughout the entire night just kept coming up and saying how beautiful it is and how much they enjoyed the food. Not a single person had anything negative to say about the food and drinks (and you know thatās a big thing at weddings is the food). Everything was just so flawless, I canāt say that enough.A special shout-out is owed to Kelley and Josie. Kelley and Josie throughout our day not only kept us on time, but they made sure everything (and I mean literally everything) went off without any issues. Kelley made sure we had food from cocktail hour/reception and we never had to even go to the bar for a drink. Kelley even had a drink waiting post ceremony for us. Josie made sure our ceremony and sparkler send off happened how I envisioned it. We never had to worry about a single thing with these two the entire night. They both were SO beyond attentive. Iām so glad these two were the coordinators for our day because I am just utterly grateful for how professional, kind, and just amazing they were throughout our day. Our guests were SO impressed with the staff at Trout Lake. A month later and people are still raving about our wedding. That should tell you something about Trout Lake. Anyone who I speak to Iāll always highly recommend the venue. Everything was beyond perfect. Trout Lake will forever hold a piece of our hearts. Beyond perfect.

I do not even know where to begin! Our wedding was on 10/15/22. Trout Lake is the most beautiful venue, and they made our wedding day everything we wanted and more! The grounds are impeccable, and they are constantly updating and adding decks/pavilions to make your day perfect no matter the weather! We were blessed and had a gorgeous fall day and the fall foliage was perfect! Cocktail hour was great! As soon as the ceremony ended, everyone had delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks in hand. The staff set up all our decorations exactly how we pictured, and the main room was beautiful. We received so many compliments on the food (flank steak, and shrimp), everyone's plates started very full and were completely empty after eating. The staff were so nice and eager to help with anything needed. The bartenders knew how to make great drinks! Tanya, our wedding coordinator was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and knew exactly how to make the day flow perfect. She worked in every detail we wanted. I could not say enough about this venue! We are still receiving so many compliments! Now I want to attend a wedding there! Highly recommend having your wedding here. You will not regret it!

We couldnāt have chosen a better venue than Trout Lake to host our fall wedding. We were blown away by the beauty of the property when we first visited, but since then, itās gotten even more so with a gorgeous covered outdoor area (we did our first look here), and incredible deck that made our ceremony entrance that much more breathtaking. Weāve received ENDLESS compliments about how gorgeous our venue was!I canāt say enough great things about their staff. Theyāre attentive, kind, respectful, and treat you like a part of their family! We never once felt ignored or slighted, and they were willing to accommodate us in every way we asked to make sure our wedding was exactly what we envisioned. Halfway through the night, the bartender even knew members of our family by name, and we thought that was an amazing touch! Food and drinks here are also amazing. We highly recommend the Chicken Francaise, Pulled Pork, Waikiki Meatballs, and Bacon Wrapped Scallops! Also highly recommend renting the lake house! Itās beautiful and only about a half-mile from the venue! My wife and I were able to get ready there together because the top and bottom floors are separate. It really made things so much easier the morning of since hair and makeup stylists arrive so early. Honestly, we have no bad things to say about this place! We couldnāt have been happier, and our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more!

Trout Lake and the team made our wedding a dream come true. I fell in love with the venue at first sight-- the setting was beautiful and all of the accommodations were stellar. However, it was the team that really sets this venue apart from the rest. The day of our wedding was completely stress-free because they had everything under control and were there with us every step of the way if we needed something. Everyone was kind and fun and felt like they all felt like they were celebrating with us, not just working.All of the food was incredible and the late-night food was such a hit! (I highly recommend to any couple.)My girls and I stayed at the lake house the night before and got ready there and I 10/10 recommend this if it's available for your wedding. It made the morning of stress-free by having everyone already there. We also hosted our rehearsal at the Boat House the night before and had the best time. Huge shout out to Lucy for being an absolute angel the day of the wedding. She anticipated all of our needs beforehand and if something went wrong, I didn't even know it. We also paid for them to decorate for us, and they went above and beyond and made the place absolutely magical. I can't recommend having your wedding at Trout Lake enough. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing!

My husband and I got engaged in Feb 2020, just as everything around us started to fall apart. When we came across the pictures of Trout Lake we knew that this was the vibe we were looking for. Our first tour was done virtually and although we weren't there in person, we needed to act quick on locking this venue in as many 2020 weddings were being postponed. A few months later we were able to go onsite and realized that the pictures don't do justice and felt so much relief to know that we booked a venue virtually that we fell even more in love with in person. The venue coordinator at the time was always around to answer any questions and we never felt like we were just another couple that booked with them. We later went on our fall tasting and thought the food was pretty good! As we got closer to our wedding date, the coordinator that we have been working with decided to leave and we were introduced to the new coordinator, Vanessa. Meeting her and talking through our big day was seamless and she was able to pick up right where we left off. She is also assisted by Tanya who we met on our original tour. She has been the absolute BEST throughout our 1 1/2 years we have been working with them. Lastly, we met with Lucy the day of the wedding and felt like we knew her as long as the rest of the team. The entire staff has been a pleasure to work with and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. They were always around making sure we had a drink in hand, enough food to eat, or any other things we may have needed. We left the decorating up to them and left them with some staged pics of what we wanted along with a box of miscellaneous items to place using their best judgement. If you are looking for a fall/rustic wedding, this is the place to be! So many photo opportunities on site and I don't doubt that the other seasons are probably just as beautiful. I recently attended a wedding at Trout Lake and I was so impressed. From the moment I drove in the view of the lake and trees were stunning! Everyone was extremely helpful and kind, and between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception... it was unforgettable. Being vegan with many dietary restrictions, they were able to make me a separate meal which was incredible. Definitely not your average stuffed pepper! I was impressed and very grateful. I honestly think this is the perfect place for a fall wedding simply with the backdrop of trees starting to change colors. I would love to attend another event here, and definitely recommend it!

OMG where do I even begin?! This venue and its team are absolutely incredible. Thank you to Vanessa, Tanya, Morgan, Lucy and the rest of the team for your incredible communication, responsiveness, coordination and attention to detail! You all went above and beyond to make sure my bridal party, family, and guests were attended to! Everything flowed wonderfully (especially the drinks!!), the grounds were beautiful and decorated exactly how I wanted! The food during cocktail hour and the reception was so delicious, portioned well, and HOT! I know it was a long time coming with all my postponements and such, but it was 1000% worth the wait!! I will recommend this to anyone and everyone I can! Iām so obsessed!

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding here recently, and was beyond disappointed and disgusted with the lack of professionalism in the people at this venue. Your wedding venue is supposed to take some of that stress off of you, instead this place added so much more. Letās start with when we arrived to drop off all the wedding decor:We were āgreetedā by someone who called the bride āMelissaā when that wasnāt even her name. Not only did we have so much to carry, but not one person out of the 3 that were there offered to help us. We arrived at 4pm to drop off the stuff, the rehearsal was at 6. As Iām carrying boxes down the steps, pregnant by the way, the girl tells me āthe rehearsal isnāt until 6 so when youāre done you will have to wait in the parking lot, you canāt wait inside.ā Excuse me? One, who says that, two we needed to get dressed anyway, we didnāt intend to stay. Fast forward to the rehearsal. Not one of the staff were friendly, it actually looked as if we were inconveniencing their day. They proceed to tell my friend and her husband that they have to set up their own wedding decor the DAY of the wedding. Not only set it up themselves but they wanted them to pay per hour to do so. Is that a joke? They paid almost 30,000 to decorate their own wedding? When they requested to speak to the owner, who was clearly on premise, they didnāt show their face. They instead told the staff member they could come at 10am to set up but still had to pay $125. Absolutely pathetic if you ask me. What exactly did they pay for? Just to use the space?Not once the day of the wedding did anyone even say ācongratulations you look beautifulā ādo you need anything?ā Instead we just got barked orders at as to where we needed to be or what we COULDNT DO. The view was beautiful, I will give it that. But I wouldnāt ever in my life recommend this place to anyone. You almost ruined my best friends day. Kind of crazy that one of the reasons she picked this place was because you told her you took pride in yourselves for the fact that you donāt tack on every little cost like all the other venues, when that is in fact EXACTLY what you did. And you should truthfully give your staff training in empathy and professionalism. Maybe then you can treat the next bride how they should be treated.

If you're thinking about having a wedding at trout lake I would rethink your venue. It was a terrible sign that every time I spoke to someone it was a new staff member and it seems like a revolving door there, they've had a new wedding planner four times over since we booked last year. Not a good sign. ļæ¼Now one of the reasons we booked with them is because when we sat with the owner he said he took pride in the fact that unlike other venues they don't charge for every little thing, but that is in fact exactly what they do. When we got to the venue they had a staff member Who barely greeted us tell us that we could put our decorations in the bridal suite but that she was not responsible if someone took them, I totally understand that concept but that's not really how you greet the couple coming to get married there. Maybe say that after saying hello, welcome, congrats etc.When I first booked with them I was told that I would have a wedding coordinator, not only one but three, and the three that worked there that night did not do anything for me, my wedding planner did everything, one of the girls didn't even fix my dress before I walked it down the hall with my father and she was standing right there.Right before our rehearsal dinner we were informed that we could not bring our decorations in and set up until 230 when our wedding literally started at 4:30. We asked them how they expect us to do that and they just shrugged their shoulders and said they didn't know. When we asked if there was any possible way we could do it sooner they told us we would be charged hourly to come in earlierļæ¼ļæ¼, and that is not some thing they talked about until that day, he felt trapped we had no other option. But to ask if we could come earlier and pay more money. They totally blindsided us. ļæ¼My three year old popped one confetti pop in our bridal suite and when they saw it they told my wedding planner that they're charging us extra for a cleanup. Thankfully my wedding planner did not tell me about any of this until after the night because she already knew how frustrated we were at them. ļæ¼At the end of the night they started packing in the tables and chairs before our guests even left, our wedding ended at 10 PM and they were folding up those chairs by 9:50, some of my guests photos even got thrown out on the tables by staff members. ļæ¼When we were leaving they informed us five minutes before 10 PM that we had and then take all of our decorations that night out of the venue. We were baffled, they did not mention that prior and we had just gotten married we were not expecting to drag all of our decorations out that minute. They were completely unaccommodating and handed me my cake in a box as we gathered all of our decor as fast as we could.They didn't congratulate us, they didn't save a plate for us, they didn't help us, they were cold rude and totally unprofessional. In my opinion this place is charging people at a venue level but they cannot properly perform at a venue level. Trout Lake is not a wedding venue I would ever recommend again after my experience. ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼I didn't plan on saying anything but seeing as though they are already posting about their wedding tonight that they're having congratulating the couple that's there when they didn't even say a word to us, take one photo, or tag us in anything, it's a huge slap in the face.Don't use trout lake as your venue if you want to be welcomed and feel congratulatedļæ¼ļæ¼ as a newly married couple.

We had our wedding on Sep. 11, 2021 and everything was absolutely beautiful. From start to finish, the day was absolutely perfect. Vanessa, the day of coordinator, was extremely helpful from the day she started with Trout Lake until the end of our big day.ALL of the staff were incredibly polite, going far above the call of duty to help where needed. I couldnāt walk past a staff member without them telling me how beautiful I looked or being asked if I needed anything. That little bit of extra attention goes so far to make your day less stressful and more enjoyable.The food was excellent, we received so many compliments. The indoor/outdoor space was beautiful. I especially love how much space is available for cocktail hour. Everything was absolutely perfect! I will continue to go out of my way to recommend Trout Lake to anyone whoās looking for the perfect venue! My only piece of advice for brides/constructive criticism for the venue is to make sure youāre both on the same page as to where a cigar bar will be set up if you opt to have one. My impression was that it would be set up during cocktail hour and that no smoking was allowed on the upper deck, which is what I wanted. Unfortunately it was done on the upper deck, during the reception. I wasnāt thrilled but I will say that my guests loved it and thatās what mattered most to me. Just make sure if youāre doing this to confirm this detail ahead of time :)

We could not have asked for a better venue. Not only did they embrace our creativity, they encouraged it. When we first visited trout lake we loved the lake view center, but had concerns it would fit our ginormous family and 10 piece salsa band. Mark read our minds and suggested we check out āthe arenaā which was part of the property seldom used for wedding receptions. We fell in love with it instantly and the encouragement to make the space our own allowed us to transform it into something magical with bistro lighting strung from the support beams, an endless dancefloor, a second floor section for the DJ, and plenty of room for a 10 piece salsa band.Trout lake was overly supportive of our multiple trips and meetings to the venue to make sure everything would be just right. Vanessaās ability to consume all of the information we threw at her and then execute it into the perfect event left us feeling like she is either a magician or has multiple twins.Morgan and Lucy also killed it. I showed up early on wedding day to drop off some last minute stuff and they were already there finishing the set up hours ahead of time to make sure everything went well. The rest of the day I could not look up without seeing them ready to pounce on any ask that we could have. This venue truly was amazing in the fact it had everything. Perfect ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas. Everywhere you looked was an awesome spot for a photo. Food was great. Staff was over accommodating. The planning process was easy. Truly top of their field.

Vanessa and the Trout Lake staff did a wonderful job on our wedding day-everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food and desserts were great. The upstairs did get extremely warm during our reception (in June), but overall it was a great value and an amazing setting that we highly recommend.

The new pergola was beautiful for our outdoor wedding, and then an easy transition upstairs to the reception. In my opinion, Trout Lake let me down with their customer service during the pandemic with their refund policy. Our date was mandatorily shut down for May 16, 2020 and our tentative rescheduled date was June 6, 2021 (never officially rebooked). The venue was beautiful and the room where we were to have the reception would have been gorgeous. I just wanted to come on to state my opinion in how I feel the refund situation was handled.

I own Uranko Productions which is an award winning Wedding Entertainment company based out of Bloomsburg PA. I ended my 2018 regular wedding season this weekend at Trout Lake. After 28 different experiences at other venues in the Poconos as well as the Finger Lake Region of New York, Trout Lake was one of the BEST!The venue is the perfect combination of rustic, modern, and elegance. I am starting to notice the down trend of old barn style weddings compared to our 2017 Season. Trout Lake has the rustic atmosphere outside with a beautiful landscape and countless number of photo opportunities right on sight. They are able to bring subtle rustic vibes inside combining with modern amenities. The history of the venue is very unique as well. From a DJs point of view this was one of the easiest weddings to setup for. Their cocktail area space downstairs was equipped with a professional connection for our Laptop and a very modern sound system. This drastically cut down on our setup time. Upstairs in the main reception area the layout was very adequate. The space over looks the lake and is extremely beautiful. This was the first venue that offered additional space for all of the vendors to stow their gear bags during the reception as well. Their coordinator CJ was always accessible and was on top of everything. She did a phenomenal job and was very accommodating. As soon as I walked into setup I knew this was going to be a fun crew to work with. I highly recommend checking out this venue if you are planning a Poconos wedding and want the perfect combination of rustic, modern, and most importantly elegance. I can not wait to work at this venue again!

I don't know where to begin. My daughter, Amy, and her husband, Sean were married on 10/27/18. And Amy had requested a halloween themed wedding. Cj and her staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with. We were told that some of the staff were from foreign countries such as Australia, Great Britain, and Ireland. They requested to extend their visas just to be a part of the wedding. Who does that? Except for incredibly wonderful people! The venue was amazing! This is a real gem of a wedding site. The food absolutely delicious. And I can't rave enough about Cj, who was in charge of the whole event. She made my daughter's day a complete remarkable experience. The weather didn't cooperate, but that didn't matter. Everything was well taken care of. I highly recommend Trout Lake, and cannot thank everyone involved enough! Rob P.

If I could get married over and over again, it would always be here. From the perfect views to CJ and the incredible staff, this place and the people here are magical. We got married October 13th and our guests are still raving about the space, the food, and the amazing service provided. CJ was a dream to work with throughout the entire process. Not only was she always there to answer my binder of questions, but she was able to deal with the entire wedding party, set up everything I brought exactly as I envisioned, and truly put my mind at ease when I started to become overwhelmed with the day-of emotions, all with an infectious smile on her face. Being pescatarian and gluten-free, they were able to easily accommodate my diet and even went the extra mile as to accomodate my grandmother who cannot have a variety of spices. We ended up having our ceremony, reception, AND rehearsal dinner at Trout Lake and my husband and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Every square foot of the place lends itself to gorgeous pictures and a perfect backdrop to say \"I do\". We truly cannot thank Trout Lake enough for being a huge part in pulling off the perfect wedding.

The outdoor ceremony sites are beautiful, with mountains, water, and trees completely surrounding you and your guests. We just got married here this weekend and we couldn't have asked for more. We also had our rehearsal dinner at the Boathouse which was STUNNING. The entire venue is nothing short of picturesque and kept immaculate. The food was AMAZING, fresh and so well done. My mom and I are vegan and they accommodated us without hesitation. My friends and family even commented on the incredible staff! The coordinator CJ was also wonderful. She was so accommodating, always super responsive and incredibly helpful. I loved how calm she was- which honestly made me feel so calm during such a stressful time!

We used Trout Lake Retreat Center as the venue for our wedding reception, and overall we were satisfied with our experience. The grounds are nice, and the indoor/outdoor setup worked well with the weather cooperating for our party. People really spread out down towards the lake, onto the deck, and on the dance floor, and we and our guests really appreciated the entire space. Once you get inside the reception room, you feel the true size of the space ā pictures can be deceiving. We used up-lighting to help accentuate the tall ceilings, and the deck has built-in lighting that worked well with that. There is also plenty of parking, and shuttle buses work well with the venue. There is a handicap drop off point closer to the building.CJ, the on-site coordinator at Trout Lake, was very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. We live a couple hours away, so most of our communications were via email, but we usually got quick replies. She worked with us on a couple of customizations in particular and was helpful and patient with us. We had our own wedding coordinator who she also worked well with. Trout Lake serves their own food and alcohol, which must be purchased through them in separate packages. There are top-shelf or bottom-shelf options for alcohol. The food was good; there were a lot of options and the food quality exceeded expectations. They include the wedding cake in the packages, which they can work with you to customize the icing style and light decorations on it. Ceremonies can also be held on the property, but we had ours elsewhere.A couple downsides to this venue include that you cannot start setup until 2pm on the day of your event (unless you elect the option to rent the entire property for the weekend). Also, it was unexpectedly warm on our wedding day and either the upstairs room does not have AC, or they were not running it, so it got a little warm in there during dinner. With the doors open onto the deck, there was a light breeze and once the sun went down it was perfect temperature.Overall, we highly recommend this place as a modern yet rustic venue set in nature for your event!

This place is amazing! My husband and I searched for forever to find the perfect venue and after multiple tours of other less beautiful and overly priced places, I stumbled upon Trout Lake. Cj was fantastic from the start and was always helpful and responded in a reasonable timeline. Even with less than perfect weather, the entire staff was supportive and efficient and we still had a beautiful wedding. Oh and the best thing was everyone loved the food! With both my husband and I being professional chefs as well as some of our guests, food is a very big deal. I am still receiving complements on the entire wedding, the venue both indoor and out are breathtaking, the staff was super friendly, the food was fantastic, everyone had a great time and the price was so reasonable compared to any other venue in the lehigh valley. I am truly grateful to everyone at Trout Lake that made our day as perfect as I could have ever dreamed.
