Located in Farmington, CT, Tunxis Country Club is beautiful venue with both indoor and outdoor wedding locations. You and your loved ones may enjoy a truly magical wedding day amid our woodland surroundings. We offer a blend of rustic charm and elegant amenities for your special celebration with our two event spaces: Tucked away in a pine grove is the Pavilion, the entry pathway flanked by tree lighting and colorful blooms. The Pavilion is a covered outdoor site with space for up to 300 guests, perfect for an outdoor reception. The year-round Fireside Dining Room is an indoor space for events of up to 120 guests in size. This intimate ballroom is a truly welcoming ambience for you and your guests. Exposed wood-beam ceilings and views of the golf course enhance the enjoyment of visitors. Tunxis Country Club hosts religious, non-religious, and vow renewal ceremonies as well as civil unions and second weddings. This venue's staff offers event planning, catering, bartending, and personnel for your important day. They provide wedding catering and bar services in a range of convenient packages, with custom menus readily available.

I would give 500 stars if I could. This venue was so gorgeous and they just redid a lot of it so it was extra nice looking for our wedding. The service was incredible and the food was outstanding!! Ashley the coordinator set up the venue BEAUTIFULLY for us and never once got annoyed by the thousands of anxious texts I sent her ;) I couldn’t recommend this place more. The ceremony set up was beautiful, the reception was unreal.. and for your food tasting they literally shut down the restaurant and give you a free private date with your partner. The entire experience was incredible and were def going out to eat there every year for our anniversary for the rest of our lives. If you book here do a hotel block at the Farmington Inn and Suites! They book up fast so have your guests get rooms asap. It’s right down the road! And rehearsal dinner at fork and fire- also right down the street. Incredible town and made for an easy fun stress free wedding!

First Ashley is amazing, secondly the Tunxis pavilion was stunning for our fall wedding. From initial contact Ashley was so helpful and easy to get a hold of. I showed her inspiration photos and she truly brought my dream to reality and then some. She made everything go so smoothly from beginning to end. The food was delicious, the staff was great, and the venue was magical at night with all of their lighting. 10/10 recommend this venue.

Everything about Tunxis was perfect. The venue, the staff and the support leading up to our wedding was incredible. We couldn't have been happier with our wedding at Tunxis! The space is beautiful, especially with the renovations. In fall with the twinkle lights, scenic pines, and cozy fire pit, you can't ask for a better space! We were lucky enough to get a perfect fall day after a bunch of rain, but we were still able to have our ceremony outdoors - that field has some incredible drainage. Tunxis really shines in our photos!Ashley was so helpful throughout the wedding planning process. She answered emails quickly and has a great calm energy that I'm sure all brides appreciate! On the day of our wedding, she anticipated things before we could even think of them and went above and beyond to make sure we had food and anything we might need. Speaking of food, the food is delicious, I'm still thinking about the gnocchi!I don't have a single bad thing to say about our experience with Tunxis, I would get married there again in a heartbeat!

Our wedding reception at Tunxis was unforgettable. They recently have renovated and the improvements were absolutely worth it. The pavilion is beautifully landscaped, the trees are lit up, and the dance floor is perfect with the stars above it. The food was absolutely delicious and the passed apps were a hit. Ashley is everything you could ever want in a coordinator. She worked so hard in setting everything up and making it look gorgeous. We let her pick and choose where she put some items and she did a fabulous job. The entire night she was doing things without having to be asked, it was like she was reading our minds! The bridal suite is an amazing perk and I snuck away to cool down with such a heavy gown! Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue and everyone the entire night was saying how magical it looked.

Tunxis Country Club is not your typical venue! Just imagine being outdoors in the woods, surrounded by tall pine trees entangled with string lights. It feels magical when you're there and you don't want the night to end. My husband and I looked far and wide for a venue where we felt would capture both of our adventuring souls while still in Connecticut. We wanted a venue where guests could roam around freely and enjoy themselves instead of being stuck in a typical ballroom to either their chairs, dance floor or bar. Tunxis Country Club was exactly it! We were given so many compliments from guests on how fun this venue was compared to others they have been to. While planning our wedding, we worked with Ashley at the site. She was great to work with: an easy going coordinator, a reliable communicator, and an expert on all things wedding. My husband and I wanted to DIY a lot of our decor and Ashley was accommodating to a lot of the ideas we had. Also, we weren't pressured only to use vendors off of their preferred list, which was a nice touch for those who don't want a cookie cutter wedding. Not to forget, a lot of our guests were impressed with the food served at our wedding by the chef! Sometimes wedding food is \"just wedding food\

Our wedding took place at the Tunxis Country Club Pavilion. They have an amazing event space, it was plenty big for our ceremony and reception with ~100 guests. Highly recommend Tunxis for any event, especially weddings! As an outside team of planners/event coordinators Tunxis’ very own venue coordinator, Ashley, worked seamlessly with our team to help manage the logistics of the day from every angle! There is nothing Tunxis’ venue team can’t do, they are a team of friendly, helpful, well-organized and detail orientated staff that are quick problem solvers and a delight to work with! The Tunxis team is also very flexible, making last minute timeline changes a breeze! Overall no task is too small or too big for the Tunxis team. 100% recommend and give 5 glowing stars to their team!!

I highly recommend Tunxis for any event, especially weddings! We had our rehearsal dinner in the tavern, and our wedding in the pavilion. Ashley and McKenzie help every step of the way with planning, setup, and coordinating the event. They are super accommodating for everything we needed as well, whether it be including cultural aspects, catering to dietary restrictions, or providing storage space before/after the event. The Tavern is such a cozy space and every aspect of our rehearsal dinner was perfect! Everyone loved the vibe of the fireplace room for an intimate family style dinner. The newer linen-less tables are gorgeous!We chose the pavilion as our wedding venue because it is non traditional (we did not want a ballroom), can have a rustic theme or a more natural elegant theme (which is what we did), and nearly everything is included (tables, linens, food, bar, centerpiece accessories, etc). And not to mention the pavilion in the magical wooded area is absolutely gorgeous in the Fall! Our guests have had nothing but great things to say about the venue, the service, and the food! The food was amazing (the salmon was a hit!) and the atmosphere was top notch. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and helped gather our decor/personal items at the end of the night for an easy end to the night!

Ashley DellaRatta made sure our day went as smoothly as it did. Ashley was there to answer every question we had along the way and was extremely organized throughout the entire process. My husband and I were very confident that we were in great hands with Ashley. On our day everything was better than we could have imagined. Tunxis and their wedding coordinator Bonnie were fantastic! Bonnie was incredible in planning for our wedding and was easy to get ahold of for questions. The venue prices were very reasonable and the quality of the food was excellent. Chef Alex blew us away with his house made dressings, seasonal food selections, and cannolis. The whole night ran smoothly and dinner was served perfectly. I highly recommend Tunxis for any event especially a more intimate event in the Tavern (we had 50 people). It was beautiful with all of the string lights and renovated fireplace. They also have a gazebo they took us to in a golf cart and we have stunning photos because of it. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely incredible venue, I would recommend to anyone thinking about having their wedding here! We had our wedding here this past Friday, Sept 10th, and everything was perfect. The pavilion was gorgeous, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, our guests raved about the food, could not have asked for anything more. Additionally, their new Director of Sales, Bonnie, is an absolute gem. So sweet, responsive, helpful, accommodating. Highly recommend!

Tunxis Country Club was the absolute best! We originally booked them for our wedding for the summer of 2020 but COVID threw a wrench in those plans! Tunxis was great about us choosing to postpone and even had the foresight to not accept new bookings until everyone from 2020 had picked new dates for 2021. That really impressed me.We chose the venue because it is the perfect mix of outdoor and indoor wedding. Their pavilion is apart from the rest of the country club in a little grove of pine trees, giving it a rustic feel. However, all of the amenities and facilities are connected and close to the pavilion so you still feel like you are indoors, The open air concept of the pavilion was also really appreciated for those that were still nervous about COVID. And the best part? Twinkly lights, twinkly lights everywhere!Every staff person we talked with wonderful and friendly. Our amazing coordinator was Bonnie Dalrymple and she was always on call ready to answer our questions whenever they arose. They did a wonderful job setting everything up and cleaning up, and even let us keep things there overnight, so we didn't have to worry about cleaning the day.We had received so many compliments from guests about Tunxis, from the atmosphere to the food (which was AMAZING, by the way!) I am so glad we chose them for our day and cannot recommend them enough! You will not be disappointed if you go with them!

Would not recommend this place to ANYONE McKenzie is the most unprofessional person we have encountered while searching for venues, we loved the actual venue and attempted to set up TWO meetings via phone with Mckenzie the first she had to reschedule last minute and then the second she completely just ignored us, we called three times texted and emailed and absolutely nothing. I am not going to beg to give someone 30 grand. Stay away

I had schedule a tour with one of their coordinators for Saturday at 1:30! She gave me her name and number in case I couldn’t find the beverage office. My fiancé and I arrived 5 minutes early, no one was in the office. Saturday was beautiful so we stood outside watching the desk from the patio. 1:37 I called her went to voicemail then texted her to make sure I was at the right spot and we had the appointment. No text back. 1:45 called the facility got sales voicemail left a voicemail and now four days later still no response from anyone. Highly disappointed as this was facility both my fiancé and I liked!

We started touring wedding venues in the spring of 2018 and Tunxis just stood out to us! We had our wedding this past Saturday and it turned out to be the perfect choice! The staff there is AMAZING and we have to shout out to Arianna who was so professional, helped us coordinate everything from top to bottom, answered every email and question timely and was super fun and friendly to all the guests (my bridal part loved her so much they want to add her to our friend group). The food and drinks were amazing, the venue was just beautiful and everything ran smoothly thanks to their staff! We received so many compliments. When I walked in on Saturday they set up all of our décor perfectly, the whole place was just breathtaking. Plus the grounds were gorgeous for pictures! We cannot thank Tunxis enough and cannot recommend them enough to anyone looking for a wedding or event space!

Tunxis Plantation was the first venue we ever visited on our list of potential locations, and we instantly fell in love with the Pavilion. Its rustic feel, large outdoor setting, nestled among huge pine trees with lights and vines and nature everywhere you look. The venue was like a fairy-tale forest, and was the perfect rustic, natural venue for the theme of our wedding. The size was perfect, with our 120 guests easily seated with plenty of extra room. Just when things couldn't get any better, you meet the staff of TPCC. Their event managers are extremely helpful, very friendly, and committed to making sure that your special day is perfect. Communication with Arianna was great, she was always quick to answer our many questions and make any subtle changes we had as the planning process continued. She was always available and gladly willing to sit down and go over details for the ceremony and reception with us. As the event neared, and our rehearsals happened, she was committed to making sure that every member of the family and bridal party were comfortable with their roles during the ceremony and reception, and the venue even hosted us in their Tavern restaurant for our rehearsal dinner. The venue offers an amazing food menu for weddings, with tons of plated options and a buffet option. We highly recommend the buffet, which our guests loved because they could try a little bit of everything, and we've gotten raving reviews from our guests at how incredible the food was at our wedding! The open bar all night was also a huge hit, and TPCC accommodated our needs for libations flawlessly, going as far as to get the exact craft IPA beer I wanted on tap! With the pond, fields, golf courses, and pine woods, there was no shortage of locations to take breath-taking bridal pictures.

We are so happy we chose Tunxis as our wedding venue. Arianna, David, and the staff are fantastic and made sure everything ran smoothly. Leading up to our wedding, Arianna was extremely quick to respond to calls and emails and she was SO GREAT the day of! We loved woodsy setting and all that the venue has to offer (lawn games, fire pit, etc). Many guests have told us it was one of their favorite wedding locations. We did our photos, ceremony, and reception all at Tunxis and are very happy with our decision!

We got married at Tunxis Country Club 9/15/18 and it was spectacular. Exactly what we wanted; everything was set up perfectly and the food was on time and delicious. More importantly, what truly made the whole experience was the staff. Working with Arianna, the wedding and events manager, from the beginning of the planning until the day of the wedding was an incredible experience. This is what makes a wedding day successful. She is so knowledgeable, honest, and truly cares about your wedding day. Any little thing I emailed her about, a response was quick to follow. The day of the wedding she was gracefully everywhere all at once it seemed. Also on staff that day into the night was David and Dimerey. They were OUTSTANDING. David, who is an awesome hype man and party starter, was also this swift ninja who would just appear when you needed him (even if you didn’t know you needed him). Every time I went to take my seat, he was there all of a sudden getting the chair for me. Dimerey was awesome assisting us around in the golf carts to take photos and even saved me some appetizers when he heard me make a comment during photos, otherwise I wouldn’t have tried any! He was so great with guests and helped make the night go so smooth. After the wedding was over, all my family could say was how amazing and instrumental these three were that night. I cannot thank them enough or recommend them enough. There is nothing more to think of if you are considering them as your venue—do it. And not to mention they are so reasonable, without cutting corners. And no guest minimum! Anyway, we are thrilled and completely love these guys! Thank you so much Tunxis.

Arianna was very helpful and responsive during the months leading up to the wedding, and the staff was so accommodating and helpful on the day of our wedding! Tunxis Pavilion was such a beautiful venue for our wedding day. It was one of the first venues we saw, we fell in love and picked a date then and there, cancelling our other appointments. It has a great woodsy/outdoor theme with lights strung on the trees and it is very spacious. The pergola was also beautifully decorated by the venue. We had both our ceremony and reception there and everything went smoothly. Leading up to our wedding day we had multiple meetings with Loredana and then more recently with Arianna. Any questions/concerns we had they answered promptly and helped to keep our stress level down. Arianna did a beautiful job setting up all of our decorations according to our vision. Then at the end of the wedding everything was perfectly packaged back up for us to take home. The food was pretty good, from what my husband and I got to eat of it! Patrick was an amazing bartender. He made a drink that our guests ended up calling “the Patrick special” and our signature drinks were awesome. David was great taking us and our wedding party on the golf carts to the gazebo, he made it so fun. All in all our day was perfect and we didn’t have to worry about anything. We received so many compliments on the venue. I would highly recommend Tunxis Pavilion for your wedding venue, you won’t be disappointed.

This weekend I celebrated my bridal shower “Tea Party” at The Tavern on the Green and to say it was amazing is an understatement. It was absolutely beautiful, everything I could have imagined and more! The staff is awesome, attentive and accommodating. Loredona, Ariana, McKenzie, David, and Demery, I don’t know if I can ever thank you enough for making my bridal shower dreams come true! My guests left raving about their experience, the food, the beautiful set up, and the kind, efficient staff. For those of you looking for a wedding venue, shower venue, or a place throw a party of any kind, please consider Tunxis; I promise you WILL NOT be disappointed!! Loredana and Kristine absolutely saved us when our original venue closed unexpectedly. Within 24 hours of finding out about the closing, we had booked with Tunxis. Loredana and Kristine are incredibly kind, prompt, flexible, and experienced. With 40 days before the wedding, Tunxis made our wedding a dream come true. We are so happy with everything, and could not have asked for a more wonderful experience! All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is, and how much fun they had. I would 100% recommend Tunxis for a wedding or other special event. I wish I could give 10 stars :)

While searching for a venue for my daughter’s bridal shower, we decided to combine it with a small golf outing for the groom too. Since we don’t live in the Hartford County area, my husband and I did a drive by some of the venues. When we pulled up to Tunxis Country Club (and it was in the winter!) I knew it was “the place” to host our event. Tavern on the Green overlooks the beautifully landscaped Tunxis Plantation Country Club. The flowers were still vibrant and in bloom the day of our event and absolutely gorgeous! It was the perfect setting. The facility was bright and clean and just lovely.The staff is a delight and clearly dedicated to excellence! Loredana took me on a tour of the facility and helped to customize the menu to fit our needs. The day of the event, Kristine and her staff was extremely attentive. When I arrived to set-up I decided to add a few more tables (for games/prizes and kid’s crafts), before I knew it, her staff was setting them up. She checked in with me continuously throughout the day to make sure everything was running as planned. Everyone was friendly and responsive to any requests, they even helped load all the gifts and bring them out to the car at the end of the day! The golf pro, Lou helped organize the groups, carts and goodie bags for the guys. The day ran effortlessly.The food was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of it! Plates and compliments were overflowing! All the guests raved about the “amazing food” and said this was the best shower they have ever been too. Playing the Green course was a pleasant and challenging experience for the golfers. The greens were in good shape and impressive for a public course. The guys were treated to a bite at the snack bar and said “the burgers were delicious and the roll was so fresh!”What a hoot to pull up to the venue and see “Taylor’s Bridal Shower” flashing on the board! The Bride-to-be loved it and said “Today was amazing. Seriously, PERFECT. I had so much fun today.”The venue, the staff, the food were all exceptional. Thank you for a memorable event! It was a wonderful day.

We can't say enough about this Venue. We got married on June 17, 2017 and Kristine and David exceeded our expectations. They were both great to work with and made sure all was perfect. I truly mean it when I say PERFECT! The only negative... is that the party had to end. The food was amazing... far beyond the food tasting we had in March. The bartenders where attentive and kind. There were no bugs. We had a cigar bar so the fireplace was a big hit. Kristine made sure the ceremony started on time and kept bridal party on track.

We can't say enough about this Venue. We got married on June 17, 2017 and Kristine and David exceeded our expectations. They were both great to work with and made sure all was perfect. Words can't even express how special Tunxis Plantation Country Club is to me. It was probably the 10th or 11th venue my husband and I looked at but I knew the second I walked through the pathway and up into the pavilion that it was the one! I wanted a rustic but not \"barn\" wedding and this was the perfect place to make it happen. The lights, the layout, the indoor/outdoor access, the fire pit were all selling points to me. I knew I wanted my wedding to be in October and they had one Saturday left when we spoke with Marlo (the events director). We booked it on the spot! Marlo was AMAZING to work with. We booked our day very early on (and Marlo was pregnant!) so we were so glad she was back just in time for our wedding. Both Marlo and Christine were always available to us and understood our vision and requests. My husband and I were married there October 15, 2016. The day was perfect! Marlo was in and out to check on us and Christine was always available and ran the show perfectly! The staff was super friendly and took very good care of us and our guests. The grounds that we were brought to to take our photographs were stunning! They even had a table set up for drinks and food while our pictures were taking place (they made us our own cocktail hour!). The food was great (from the few bites that my husband and I had) but also everyone LOVED the salmon and prime rib! Overall, it was one of the best days of my life and Tunix and their staff played a huge (most important) part in making that happen for us! If you are considering Tunxis for your big day…DO IT! We highly highly recommend it! Thank you Marlo, Christine, and staff at Tunix Plantation Country Club!

I wanted a rustic but not \"barn\" wedding and this was the perfect place to make it happen. The lights, the layout, the indoor/outdoor access, the fire pit were all selling points to me. I knew I wanted my wedding to be in October and they had one Saturday left when we spoke with Marlo (the events director). We booked it on the spot! Marlo was AMAZING to work with. We booked our day very early on (and Marlo was pregnant!) so we were so glad she was back just in time for our wedding. Both Marlo and Christine were always available to us and understood our vision and requests. My husband and I were married there October 15, 2016. The day was perfect! Marlo was in and out to check on us and Christine was always available and ran the show perfectly! The staff was super friendly and took very good care of us and our guests. The grounds that we were brought to to take our photographs were stunning! They even had a table set up for drinks and food while our pictures were taking place (they made us our own cocktail hour!). The food was great (from the few bites that my husband and I had) but also everyone LOVED the salmon and prime rib! Overall, it was one of the best days of my life and Tunix and their staff played a huge (most important) part in making that happen for us! If you are considering Tunxis for your big day…DO IT! We highly highly recommend it! Thank you Marlo, Christine, and staff at Tunix Plantation Country Club!

Tunxis was such a great venue for our wedding! Marlo and Kristine made sure we were organized and on schedule from day one until our rehearsal and everything the day of was absolutely perfect. Marlo and Kristine were great communicators and responded quickly to all of our questions during our planning process. They also did a great job making the large pavilion space work for our very small wedding. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. The whole staff at Tunxis was very attentive during our reception and many people came to our sweetheart table throughout the night to make sure we were doing well and had everything we needed. Also, the golf cart limos that took us to the pond to take post-ceremony pictures and that took us to our car after the reception was a really nice touch. Thanks to everyone at Tunxis, our day was wonderful and completely stress free. Highly recommended! Tunxis is a hidden gem when it comes to wedding venues.

My bridal shower was a complete surprise planned by my sisters and it was a lovely surprise.The grounds and banquet room were absolutely beautiful.The food and service was superb I will most defiantly be having another event there.

My wife and I saw this venue and did not need to look any further. We got married at the Pavilion outside. Marlo the event planner was very helpful. The menu is very well priced, the food was great, and the outdoor setting was perfect.

Tunxis Plantation and Marlo (the wedding coordinator) did everything they could to make sure our day was fantastic. We were married, and had our reception, in the outdoor pavilion. Even though it was a hot July day, all anyone can talk about was how beautiful and hiccup-free the reception was.\r\rWe had a buffet reception and everyone agreed that the food was amazing. Everything was well-cooked and well-seasoned. The choices were varied and we were not disappointed with any of our choices.\r\rNo matter what questions we had, Marlo and her team responded with an answer within 24 hours. We would recommend this site to anyone who is getting married in Connecticut.

The food was wonderful (guests are still talking about the food). Photos taken on the golf course were beautiful.;The banquet manager (Annie) was very disorganized and made the planning process very stressful and difficult. She was not always available by phone and did not return phone calls or emails in a timely fashion (sometimes took several calls over several days to get in touch with her)....VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! Special details which were discussed on several different occasions at length regarding how our ceremony and reception were to be set up were not followed through. Toasting glasses were not on our table (we had a sweetheart table for us), and we were supposed to have our own waitperson for just us which didn't happen. Guests were not dirrected to the salad portion of the buffet. My flower arrangements from the ceremony were not moved to the reception (I found them in a corner by the gift table, not placed around the placecard table or the bar area as I had asked). Annie was rude to my family and wedding party at our rehearsal, and also cut off my rehearsal after less than 30 minutes telling us that she had a meeting. She was also supposed to coordinate ceremony rose petals with my florist and never did. 3 days before our wedding she didn't even know what our cocktail hour and main dinner menu choices were (we had picked them all out in 6 months prior at the food tasting....) There are many other things, these examples are just a sampling of all the annoyances and frustrations that we experienced!
