Tuscan Hall & Veranda Room Reviews
Taylor Till(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-04-2023 The staff was great, replied to emails quickly and always made sure to go the extra mile to get things done. The venue it self is beautiful and was a perfect place to host a wedding! Reviewed on 17-04-2023
Jami Underwood(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-12-2021 the venue was pretty, a little dated but at night it was very nice. the staff unfortunately was not my favorite, except for Samantha who made the wedding actually happen. 5 stars for her. One employee I believe was Elizabeth was the absolute worst to work with. She wasn't aware of the liquor laws, yelled at me, was kissing her boyfriend and the list goes on. when I arrived it was great, until I was approached that there was no longer allowed to be hard liquor, if I wanted any we would have to walk in our heels on the rocks up to grab a drink and come back. absolutely ridiculous and a lawsuit waiting to happen if somebody fell. I was also accused of asking our bartending service to bring drinks when they were only bringing garnishes. after an hour of our wedding being held off Samantha came in and truly saved the day. the preferred vendors were great! the wedding ended great. I have truly never written a bad review, and I wouldn't say to not book here just go over the liquor situation and make sure to get fully on paper. and ask for Samantha lol The night ended perfect and I am so happy with my wedding. minus our one hiccup Reviewed on 05-01-2022
Jayme Smith(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-11-2022 We toured this property while looking for a venue. We loved the vibe of the place and fell in love with Tuscan Hall but found out it wasnât going to be available in Fall 2022. Clarisa showed us the smaller rooms and helped us see how we could make our wedding vision come to life there at the little room and whiskey decks (my groom loves whiskey). We ended up having to book a different venue because our guest count got too big. But this place has a great vibe, romantic views, and our interaction with the staff made us want to cut our guest count down but we just couldnât. Reviewed on 21-09-2021
Karen Diaz(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-06-2021 I booked the Veranda Room which is the smaller of the two venues. This booking came with a reserved time to hold a ceremony at Chapel Dulcinea. My \"venue manager\" (not to be confused with a wedding coordinator or planner) was Briana and she was amazing. The venue and chapel overall are absolutely beautiful. We booked a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding at Fang and Feather and it was lovely as well. After spending two different days there, I noted how they handle different situations. I understand that there are rules and reservations, but the thing that upsets me the most is how rude and harsh they can be. I wish they would treat people with a little more respect and choose to say things with a kinder demeanor. Reviewed on 02-07-2021

Dee M(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-11-2021 Tuscan Hall is beautiful. We loved the renaissance fell. We worked with mainly Clarrisa and Briana. Clarrisa gave us a tour and helped with all our planning. Briana was our day of helper and made sure we had everything we were supposed to. We had lots of questions and tons of changes during the planning because of the COVID stuff but everything worked out. Tuscan Hall provided the bartender too. Colleen Copenhaver(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-11-2019 I love the Chapel Dulcinea, however my overall experience the night of my wedding wasnât so great...the weather impacted it greatly, but the lack of coordination by the venue has a lot to be desired. My chief complaints: I paid to reserve the venue an extra hour early...The weather was terrible, & when I arrived it was pouring rain, windy & 34 degrees...Come to find out, I was told I couldnât go in the bridal suite, even tho it was empty & that I had to wait in the bathroom until my time (which was filthy, stunk like poop, and had water all over the sink & floor from the prior wedding) before I could go into the bridal suite~ absurd ~ Secondly the bridal suite in my opinion has HORRIBLE lighting, and thereâs not even Kleenex in it for the bride! There was a stack of cardboard like napkins, thatâs it. Itâs not a warm room, Lastly, I found out the next day that husband Waited outside in the chapel in the rain for 45 minutes- because nobody told him the wedding was being moved inside! We had a small wedding , no bridal party . You would think someone could have let him know from the venue!? Clarissa the wedding coordinator was nice enough to let us come back and take our wedding pictures in the chapel @ another time when the weather was nice. Reviewed on 15-06-2020
Jenny Vela(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-12-2019 What an amazing place! Huge shout out to Davis and Indigo for making our night so beautiful! Davis walked us through the place weeks in advance and again upon arrival. He checked up on us every now and then but kept his distance to allow our families to spend quality time together. Indigo was nice and so sweet to bartend our event! Everything flowed so easily and they were so nice and accommodating even when Clarissa (another employee) seemed a bit flustered with the miscommunication about a simple barrel for the cold brews. The venue was beautiful and very affordable for small intimate weddings! The decor was just enough to allow us to set our theme as well. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our day special! The beauty of the Hall speaks for itself - it's outdoors allowed for tons of beautiful photo opportunities. The back patio, with it's lush greenery and outdoor bar, was definitely a hit for our guests. The inside of the hall itself gives off the Italian vibe - you really don't need much decor to make this venue feel like a wedding. The lighting was also perfect inside, which helped set the mood.We also rented the bridal suite to allow the bridal party to get ready beforehand. The bridal suite is such a great touch for that bride wanting to feel relaxed the day of - my hairstylist raved about all of the amenities that came with the salon rooms. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the staff. Every time I called or visited the venue, they were willing and able to answer all of my questions. On the day of all the furniture and decor that I rented from the venue was ready to go at my set rental time as promised. Their promptness of setup allowed us to feel relaxed on our day. Andrea Cone(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-11-2017 Tuscan Hall is a really beautiful venue and the wedding was really fantastic in part because of just how perfect the location was. I'm going to go into my one complaint before I compliment on the rest because I think it's only fair. When we originally did a tour of the location, we were told that there was a collection of gold chiavari chairs that we would be able to select if we had few enough guests. This may have been bad information on the part of the person that gave us the tour, a miscommunication, or a change in policy (which is what we understood to be the case when we did our final tour before the wedding) but when we were told that they were not available after all, we didn't really have enough time to set up rentals (and they would have been an added expense) to compensate. Instead we choose the padded chairs (which came with the venue) and chair covers (extra) that were available because there wasn't a concession offered for the error. Aesthetically, it was not my first choice, but it worked out in the end to be more comfortable for our older guests, so it's a minor point, really. If I had any advice on this, it'd be the same as with any other wedding vendor, make sure you check the details ahead of time to avoid issues. That aside, every time we needed to communicate, they were extremely fast and thorough in their response. We got the impression that the folks there were really happy to work there and the grounds were lovingly kept. Even through it was not part of the agreement, the staff actually set up the tables and chairs for us the night before since they had some time to do so. Payment was super easy and there wasn't a single unpleasant person that I dealt with. I get the impression that what little I had to deal with that was on the negative side was really just policy changes rather than any one individual. I also think that the beauty of the venue far exceeds its price tag given the other locations we looked at in Austin. Reviewed on 27-12-2017

Becky Bergh(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2016 Chapel Dulcinea was absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were extremely helpful, answering all of our many, many questions along the way. The Chapel and Tuscan Hall were absolutely beautiful on our wedding day, and everyone who came commented on how delightful the venue area was. Everything ran very smoothly and our coordinator Emmetria was a life saver. My husband and Iâs complaints mainly only stem from the Bridal Suite that comes when one reserves Tuscan Hall for the whole day. It was great for everyone to get ready, and is very beautiful. However, afterwards when my husband and I retired for the night we ran into a couple of problems. The main one was just turning off all the lights to go to sleep. There are multiple switches in seemingly random placements around the suite (for example, one is in a cupboard). Despite using the map in the kitchen, and locating all the switches, there were still several lights that for the life of us we could not figure out how to turn off. It wasnât the most fun when we were exhausted and wanted to go to sleep. The other caveat is that the water is sulfuric. While Iâm not a water snob (I drank plenty of it), it really stood out when I went to take a shower the next morning. It felt a little bit anti-productive. The bed also wasnât the most comfortable, but I will concede that that ultimately comes down to the person and their own preferences.Despite the small things with the Bridal Suite (which have absolutely no true effect on how the ceremony and reception, and especially no effect if youâre not using it), my husband and I loved our wedding at the chapel. It was beautiful, it went off without almost any hitches, and we have amazing pictures and memories from the whole event. We couldnât have asked for a more beautiful wedding day venue. Daniel Weiss(wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-12-2017 I had a concert event at Tuscan Hall with around 100 people, a full band, food truck, and beverage service. The staff at Tuscan were extremely professional, had the venue prepared even earlier than planned, and kept the entire evening running smoothly. At one point we had a complication with an outside vendor that could have led to real problems with my guests, but Choria and the other staff handled with quickly with grace and tact. All of our guests spoke of the event for months after as one of the favorite shows theyâve attended.Weâd use them again in a heartbeat. Choria was our assigned coordinator and she was beyond amazing! She was patient, understanding, and always reassured us throughout the process. Her expertise and guidance made our wedding day the perfect day for us, our family, and friends. She understood our vision and accommodated beyond expectation. Nicole R(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-02-2016 We first found Chapel Dulcinea, which is beautiful and requires no added decor. And it's free! What?! We were looking into reception locations for a small (50 or less) number of guests. The Veranda Room was perfect, and many things are included in their pricing (tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, etc). They offer many upgrades too if their basic options aren't right for you. The Veranda Room even has an outdoor space, which we used for our bartender and cocktail hour, and ended up having our first dance out there too because all of our guests were already there. Overall, this is a beautiful setting! It requires minimal work on your part! Emmetria was especially helpful in getting the details lined up and making sure we had everything ready to go. The day of, she was available all day to answer questions and get anything fixed. I have been telling everyone about this place :) Reviewed on 11-04-2016

We had a very intimate small wedding, our ceremony was at the chapel and our reception at the Veranda Room. Things could have not gone any more perfect. Cassy was our event manager, she is the sweetest and very helpful! She was great to work with. We brought outside vendor for the flower/centerpieces, DJ and Photographer. But we did cater through Chapel Dulcinea, we got the Salt Lick BBQ option it was delicious (of course) but I just think it's so awesome they provided that. This place is gorgeous for a hill country wedding , and lovely to take pictures! This place is Perfect! Thank you for making my day special! Reviewed on 30-03-2016
erica kemper(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-11-2015 My hubby and I got married at Chapel Dulcinea and had our reception at Tuscan Hall. From the minute I stepped foot on the grounds, I was in love. I knew instantly this would be the place we say I do. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, their staff are amazing. Choria was my wedding coordinator provided by the reception hall. She was on top of things from the start and I couldn't have done it without her. I had positive interactions with the other staff, but Choria is by far the most professional, knowledgeable and over all sweetest person I've ever met when it comes to hospitality/event management. I loved that the reception hall package included a bridal suite, linens, centerpieces, decor, staff, beverage station, setup, take down, etc in addition to the minimal things I expect a venue to provide (tables, chairs, day of event coordinator). Words cannot express how easy, carefree, and perfect Choria and staff made my wedding day. If you have a guest count under 150, I would highly recommend you check it out. There were several times that the day could've been a disaster but our event manager saved the day and made sure that our day was perfect. The location was a bit far but for the scenery and seclusion, it was worth it. We enjoyed it seeming like it was just us because there was no one else and no other sounds. It would've been nice to not be as restricted on the alcohol. No hard liquor was a bummer for the cost of the venue but we had kegs and wine. Our daughter had her reception at the Tuscan Hall on 5/5/15. In the mist of all the heavy rain. Choria was our event coordinator. She did everything perfectly to keep us safe and dry. She is Hard working and detailed. She coordinated all the vendors and help us as we changed our table decor 5 times . She is knowledgeable and it shows! we rented the hall for the entire day, which included the bridal suite. That is an amazing place on its own. With the grooms room and the two salons we had enough space for two makeup/hair artist to do their work and never felt cramped! Guest are still commenting on how beautiful the hall/grounds are. I am not going to go into all the things that could have been better. Honestly, looking back it was a beautiful wedding that I should have done from scratch ourselves which would have saved us ALOT of money and provided servers and other staff that would really have cared about the experience we had. We did bring our own cake, DJ, Bartender, and flowers. Items like the food, day of coordination, set up, flatware, and break down were with the facility. \rThe Chapel is wonderful and beautiful place to be married. Amanda jdilh(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-05-2014 First I'll start with the things I was absolutely not happy with, which is why I am giving them 1 star. I had my wedding at Chapel Dulcinea and my reception at Tuscan Hall on the same property.\r\rWHY THE HELL IS IT OK FOR THE STAFF TO INVITE THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS TO MY WEDDING? AND WHAT THE HELL WAS SHE DOING DRINKING MY ALCOHOL? THAT WAS A HUGE PART OF MY EXPENSE, SO FOR MY DAD TO SEE AN UNINVITED GUEST HELPING HERSELF TO OUR TAB IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! She thinks she walked out the back door every time without being seen but that's not the case at all. Not only were people wondering who this random girl was, but they also wondered why she was contributing to the cost of my wedding by helping herself. KELSEY, YOUR GIRLFRIEND VIVIAN IS NOT WELCOME TO HELP HERSELF WHEN IT IS AT THE COST OF OTHERS. Still not even sure why anyone would think its acceptable to invite their significant others to our wedding, but thats just unprofessional. What you do on your own time and dime is fine, but not when its on mine. \r\rNot only did Kelsey allow her girlfriend to come and drink, but I guess she felt the need to tell my MOTHER how great her 'TITS' are too. SERIOUSLY?! WTF is wrong with you?! You ma'am, deserve to lose your job. As if inviting people and them drinking wasn't enough, you felt the need to tell the mother of the bride how great her boobs are? WHY? Do you think thats ok to do to strangers? Absolutely not. So disrespectful.\r\rMy family and the caterer set up the reception, not only the way i asked them to and approved, but also the way that it would work with everything we needed and wanted. When we made it to the reception, our card/gift table had been moved from outside (perfect weather that day!) where it originally was, to inside and into a corner shoved behind a table. It was hard to get to, and most people didn't even see it. I know this because FOUR, YES FOUR (4) people signed my guest book, and that was it. Had people had known it was there they would have signed it, but because it was moved after we set it up, i walked away with a wasted guest book. Too bad I paid for it to be custom made and nobody even signed it. Thats awesome! It was not done by my caterer, and 3 people from their staff confirmed it was Chapel staff that moved it. THANKS! \r\rThe venue and chapel are gorgeous, the back drop is picture perfect, but the professionalism of Kelsey is unacceptable. Choria was great, she helped with everything along the way, was very nice, professional, and even met with me a second time when my husband and i dropped into town unexpectedly. If they fired the other girl and hired more people like Choria, they would be set! \r\rOverall our wedding was great, but they really need to set some standards for their staff and make sure they adhere to them. Very unhappy with that. Reviewed on 07-07-2014
Colin O'Neal(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-06-2012 Five stars are not enough to do this place justice. My wife and I got married nearby at Chapel Dulcinea and held our wedding reception in Tuscan Hall. I was extremely pleased, but most importantly, my wife was elated upon seeing the venue in person, and then hosting our reception here. I canât recall how many times that evening we looked at each other and whispered how perfect this place was for our wedding.\r\rFrom the beginning the staff was attentive and patient when answering our questions about preparations for the evening. They do not restrict your choices in catering, nor do they require a specific vendor for alcohol (we had a keg and wine) â we appreciated that freedom. The cost was affordable/reasonable...actually it was a heck of a deal when I think about how beautiful it is here. The space easily accommodated our 120 guests, with plenty of room for the buffet tables and a dance area. People had plenty of room to sit, walk around and mingle. The acoustics are spectacular, and there are no neighbors nearby to be bothered. Tuscan Hall is located near major highways so getting our guests from the hotel near the Austin airport to here wasnât a problem at all. \r\rI grew up in the Texas Hill Country, and Tuscan Hall captured everything I love about the natural beauty of the landscape. The property is gorgeous and makes for some great photo opportunities and backgrounds. Standing outside the hall, we stopped our conversation to watch a family of deer walking amidst the trees and brush while the cicadas and birds chimed in the sun set. One of those magical moments you can only have at a venue that works in harmony with its location as well as Tuscan Hall does. The natural limestone parking lot leads to a lovely rock stairwell and fountain feature which lights up at night. Then you step through the double doors and feel like you have walked into a romantic painting of a country hall. Check out the Tuscan Hall website for pictures that can illustrate the beauty better than I can with words. \r Reviewed on 10-07-2012
Andrea Swanson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-10-2006 The space was very intimate to mingle amongst our guests. The inside & outside is very beautiful for pictures. The space was able to accomodate a band inside and no immediate neigbors to complain about the noise. The staff was great and easy to work with as they had reasonable requirements. We were not limited to caterers of their choice as that was something we wanted to select. The property had a beautiful chapel for picturesque backdrops and wedding ceremonies if desired. Security was provided. Not a heavy traffic area. Secluded private property. Handicap accessable. Website is www.tuscanhall.com;Little bit of a distance from central Austin. Poor signage to locate the venue. Parking lot was not paved but on rocks. Steep area to walk down steps near water ponds that some guests tripped or fell down while coming into the venue.
